OS I am with you on the point of not stereotyping an entire race / country because of the actions of a few (well. Not really a few).

But this isn't about understanding people and cultures. This about how the forum works or should work.

The forum has been setup with the intention of sharing intelligence on the hobby we all love. And that has to be a 2 way street. In order to work well. It also revolves around the expectation (which is clearly stated e RTFF) that one will read and learn. No more difficult that using a simple Google search.

The criticism comes when people cruise by asking questions without reading enough. That suggests that they have no respect for other people's time or effort. And once they are done there is usually no follow up report or even a thank you. That irritates folks who spend a lot of time in sharing information here.

If one were to only read Smoothy's posts over a few days you can write an entire fiction story about a trip to Jakarta complete with details like restaurant names discos bars girls with names and prices hotel and the cuisine the bands and city landmarks and their history. His reports are that good!

I have my personal opinion on some of his views but on reporting and helping with information. No sir. He is ahead there.

Location:
Starting from the Hotel Grand Mercure Harmoni up to the Dunkin Donuts. The girls are spread out approximately over a 1.2 km stretch (0. 75 miles).
They are either sitting on a motorbike or pacing on the street. Some of them wave at passing cars to attract the driver.
The Grand Mercure, Hotel Ibis and a McDonalds are all located next to each other. This McDonalds is open 24 hours and includes a McCafe on the second level.
This is a good spot for a first meeting. The McCafe is not very big and you will see folks chatting or browsing on their phones all hours of the night.

Girls:
The girls show up after midnight. On two consecutive nights, I observed 8 to 10 girls. Most of these girls are accompanied by a pimp / handler.
I would rate three of the girls a solid 5. (One of these girls could be even rated 6). The others were not worth rating.

Price:
I inquired for reporting purposes only. The "list" price is 500,000 IDR. When I started to walk away, the pimp quickly said 400,000 IDR.

Do not generalise as Indians not reading. Sure more would have asked that doesn't mean some thing bad about Indians. I am sick of people stereo typing Indians as they see the whole thing from Pattaya to every where from their perspective.

They go in groups as many have not been outside India in their life and they have language and confidence issues.

Damn Smoothy, seems like you and I have followed the same trail as far as girls go, although being only a visitor I certainly haven't had the pleasure of as many.
