I am not in my right mind admittedly. Out of force of habit I normally have US $500 or so in my wallet at all times, wherever I am. I usually have about half that amount or so in local currency. The real question is who in there right mind goes anywhere in Colombia with $200 USD on them or even has it at their place.

At the very least you should make the chicks quote you the equivalent price in pesos so you see if they can keep a straight face when they say the price for their pussy is 600 mill. Jajaja.

If you are OK with continental breakfast or small omelettes with great coffee, the cafe at the Museo de Antioquia is inexpensive, clean and offers fun people watching only steps away from the infamous Veracruz stroll. Versailles is an institution but too crusty for me.

Hacienda is conveniently located and well managed. The traditional Colombian dishes are well prepared but there is not much variety in the menu. Most everything is made with pork so be ready for that.

Credenza on one of the upper floors of the language school is good and not too far from parque Bolivar / Plaza Botero / Maracaibo. You can walk to it safely after dark because the route is crowded. There is a varied menu.

Those are go to options around Centro I can recommend. For better quality you have to go to Laureles / la 70 or Poblado / Provenza.

It's so / so, not to bad right at the park due to the police substation, it gets scarier every block you go west (above Ave Maracaibo ie Calle53) till you pass the Metro and it get real scary. I usually only go 1 block and a half to the strip clubs at night but I have been down that way on foot for dinner after dark a few times, seemed OK, but I haven't been there past midnight, if you want to be Casa centric would be good, for the strip clubs I would stay a few more blocks west, Maracaibo Ave or lower. I have considered staying at Hotel Cristal ($26) or Hotel Capitolio ($33-Cra. 49 #57-28) they are right behind the Catedral Baslica Metropolitana de Medelland (the big brick church at Parque Bolivar) side by side and share a small swimming pool.

More TS street girls in that area so check carefully.

I had a question about the parque Bolivar area you may be able to answer. I know you also expore a lot of the centro area late. What is your opinion on staying near the park. Is it walkable late at night? If not will the cabs care about short trips? Less than 10 blocks.

Taxi meters start at 3300, if I remember correctly and the minimum fare is 5400 cop. Taxi drivers are fine with short rides.

South and west of Parque Bolivar is tranny Central and the area over there isn't where I'd be walking after dark. It's mostly fine during the day.

I went to Diviniwomen this morning, arrived about 11:25.
