I haven't read anything about Bat Flu and heat. Hope you're right. The western media is killing my stocks with their fear mongering but I feel the number of cases is grossly under reported. I doubt Thailand has many testing kits outside of Bangkok. Even California is woefully short of testing kits. Also some sick people aren't getting medical help due to fear of being isolated by friends and family.

The connection had occurred to me as well. Northern China, Korea, Northern Italy, Iran. Those places are now experiencing winter. Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, South America, astonishingly few cases.

My normal MO is first day, visit SOL to get the rust removed from the pipes. Last year, found a very good looker, great service. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

But having read on a couple of Best BJ bar blogs about "the World" near SOL, I'd never heard of it despite decades of visits. Determined to check it out. Now I knew if I stopped at SOL, last year's fav would no doubt not be there, but its gravitational pull too much for me to resist. So instead of turning right past Foodland, headed straight, up the stairs, to the 2nd floor (1 floor above ground). Nothing immediate, so walked along the landing, and down near the end, furthest from Foodland, saw the "World" on a door (or window, forget which, but noticable). Unsure if it was open or closed, but when I approached the door, a lady appeared from outside, opening the door for me. Stepped in to a lit bar, obviously seen better days. Couple of girls inside, including the one who'd opened the door for me.

Having read prices were variable, asked the price of a Singha. "150". "No thanks. " "OK, for you 100". "Fine, 1 Singha please. ".

As usual, a girl on each side, Lefty rubbing my shoulders, Righty my crotch. In the light, mentally dismissed Lefty, r\Righty MAYBE a possible. First thing, A/C turned on. Great. 2nd, lights dimmed, well past subtle, down to "where's my headlamp" dim. OK, reasonable, as the girls are not the cutest. 3rd, tape started. Eagles. Fantastic, my type of music.

Same MO, A/C on, lights DIMMED, music on (Tina Turner. Yes, thank you), though no discussion of price. Fan positioned for quick cooling while the A/C cranks up. Same couch service, just went directly there. Same service type, decent BJ, though no SOL super technique, same no tissue box, get up, go to toilet, spit in sink, gargle, spit, gargle, spit. Perhaps tissue an unnecessary expense for the girl.

So, will the World replace SOL? Hardly, but certainly an alternate possibility to provide service if SOL is devoid of attractions. Music is certainly enjoyable.

I am really worried about a future Bangkok with almost no freelancers on street. .

My yesterday statistics from Soi 4, half LB plus a few super expired and 4 black ugly girls. This is the trigger for me to move back to Pattaya.

I am really worried about a future Bangkok with almost no freelancers on street. FLs are usually dirt cheap due to a variety of reasons and their, almost, complete disappearance, from asok to nana is an extreme concern.

The takeouts from massage shops become expensive if one orders two a day. Ditto with bar girls. Freelancers used to be pretty good "fillers" and sometimes offered only chance to snag an amateur.

During my recent visit, the street scene was totally dead in Bangkok. Some of it could be attributed to corona and dearth of tourists, some to increased LE activity in Bangkok and Pattaya that I witnessed personally.

I wonder if there are any alternatives that can fill the void.

What ever you decide to do ie visit LOS or put it off for a while, Don't Sell Your Stocks. This is a long overdue market correction. I am now looking to buy certain quality stocks a little bit at a time. There are always opportunities when there is blood on the street.

Now if I die from the Bat Flu at least I will have died for a good cause, Poontang, but sorry, I think I will have my Line Address Book auctioned off on Ebay and the proceeds distributed amongst my favorite girls provided they show up at my funeral and put on a good show. I want a lot of tears and testimonials and then afterwards one hell of a good farewell party.

No one will ever know the true count of cases. Countries will report what they want to report.

That solo Italian guy really did a number on Italy and we will see the numbers throughout Europe rise because of a single guy. The Iranians are doing a pretty good job too spreading the virus around the world from New Zealand to Canada.

The 41 cases in Thailand is admitted for a while.

It sounds not very realistic that this number didn't go up since it's been already admitted a few weeks ago.

As for the other countries such Vietnam (16 cases only), it doesn't seem realistic either.

Cambodia admitted only 1 case. It's a joke considering the amount of Chinese people going there for business or holidays for years and the level of healthcare there.

It took only one guy to pass it to all these Italians very quickly.

It is up to individuals to do their own risk assessments based on the information available. I would question the way numbers are reported for example Italy have a large number 640+ compared to closer geographical countries. It depends on whether you trust the information being fed to you.

People are making decisions based on having already got flights booked and the financial impact. I don't have a flight booked and think I will sit and watch a while, as I say individuals choice.

I wish I was in BKK right now. The hyperbole and fear mongering of the situation from the Western Media is simply amazing, but then again it is par for the course and to be expected from these brain dead, overpayed, ass clowns. The truth is the Bat Flu doesn't seem to like the heat. The other truth is the Bat Flu disproportionately attacks and does severe harm to the elderly and people with preexisting health conditions. For strong, active, healthy persons like us sex fanatics it's affects are much less. I still wouldn't like to catch this particular virus, but I think if you take common sense precautions like washing your hands frequently, staying away from individuals who are displaying various flu signs like coughing or sneezing you will be fine. And for example, I plan to avoid the BTS & MRT this time around. I mean for fuck sake: 41 cases in Thailand total (1 new case), the PI 3 cases total (no new cases), Vietnam I6 cases total (no new cases): is this any reason to cancel a trip? I don't think so.

My only concern is that my flight thru Narita might possibly be cancelled. I kind of doubt it will be cancelled, because I think the Japanese are gaining the upper hand on this virus. As of today Japan has only 12 new cases. But we shall see what we shall see. If my flight does get cancelled or the number of new cases in LOS unexpectedly skyrockets, I will make other plans, but until then I am still headed for LOS and can't wait until I get there.

Of course, this is just my opinion. Others are free to disagree and / or change their plans. One more thing, I don't care if my return flight back to the USA in late June is cancelled because I wouldn't mind getting stuck in Thailand for an extra month as long as things are similar to as they are currently on the ground. But the odds of this contagion continuing large into the summer is highly doubtful. As I stated above, the Bat Flu doesn't seem to like the heat.

Nothing else in that report bore any resemblance to what I see and experience every night in that area. Last night around 10pm Soi 4 was packed with girls, many better looking than the usual level of attractiveness for that stroll in the last couple of years. And also packed with tourists, punters.

I did not happen to go into Nana Plaza last night but I would be quite surprised if there were no girls working in the go-go bars then. There sure were hundreds of them in those bars 2-3 nights earlier. And I got Line calls from two very tasty cute 21 and 22 year old dancers from those bars after they closed, around 2:45am, wanting to come over for LT sans barfine, LDs, etc. I didn't think to ask, but I assume they were working in their bars right up until that hour of the night. And not alone.

Last weekend Thermae was packed with girls and customers. Not as packed as I have seen it in the past few months, but there were few places to stop and scan the crowd without being shoulder to shoulder with other people. I will pass through there tonight, so maybe there has been a huge drop in the crowd numbers just this past week.

Of course, these things, our observations on the ground, can and do often change from night to night, hour to hour.

Generally agree based on my observations as well. My Thermae comment / report was on a Sunday night (always a slow night) and right around closing time. When I walked past it a bit earlier on a Tue or something like that. It seemed to have decent foot traffic of girls and Asian customers in and out.

I just spent 3 weeks in Bangkok staying at a Sukhumvit soi 4 hotel. After reading your report I decided to quote the only part I can readily agree with. The rest IMO is not representative of the current conditions on the ground. YMMV of course, just trying to keep the intel real for those who rely on it.

I am visiting Thailand for 32 years and living in Pattaya in the last 4 years the all sex industry is dead.

Don't know what you do when you're in Pattaya or what you've done in Thailand for 32 years but the sex industry was clearly far from being dead a few month ago, especially in Bangkok or Pattaya.

However I got a super sexy girl from the street opposite Nana city hotel for 700 bht instead of 1200 bht. I took her Line so next time I will pay 500.

Let's face reality. If she came for 700 baht it's probably because she doesn't look so sexy to most other mongers. Especially if she agreed for 500 next time.
