Thanks, WSlover123 for your advice about Dazu, which is part of Chongqing municipality. Hence, your report is clearly in the right place. However, IMHO I would recommend to stick to the stone carvings there, which are really incredible and fantastic. I am not sure whether it's worthwhile to go to Dazu for mongering. It's about a 2 hours drive outside of Chongqing city, and I believe that almost all visitors return to Chongqing city on the same day. Besides the stone carvings, this doesn't leave too much time for mongering. Namely if you have to follow the police's lunch time. For those, however, who decide to stay overnight outside there, your advice may be helpful. At least, it tells us that outside the main city of Chongqing, there are still options, similar to the "good old times" when Chongqing city was still a mongering paradise. This was around 2005 to 2008 or so.

My advice is to just go to Macau when you need to get your fix. It's pretty expensive, but at least you have plenty of options there.

Hahaha! Yes, there are definitely better places than Chongqing. However, your advice is not very helpful for those who ARE in Chongqing. If you have the choice, there are plenty other places to go. Within China, even Shanghai is much better or Chengdu is (still a bit) better. China is really not a good place for mongering (anymore). You need to know the "secret" places, and that's why we have the forum here. IF you have the chance to monger outside China, then it's much better. Take the Philippines, take Thailand, take Malaysia, take Indonesia, take Cambodia, take Hong Kong, take Macau, take Vietnam. Compared to China, they are all mongering paradises. So, IF you have an alternative, then avoid China for mongering.

My information was intended for those how HAVE TO stay in Chongqing and would like to do some mongering. Of course, if possible, I also go to other places. Macau is one of the options.

So I've been in Dazu a couple of days away to visit the famous stone carving. And I look around a little for mongering activity.

When you exit the bus from Chongqing (not Chengdu cause that another bus station). Take on the left and then again left to arrive at a big crossroad (entrance To bus station is on your left hand). Cross it and follow walking on left side of the road that go straight ahead. Keep walking and look for a sex shop automatic teller in a side street (that the street after an hotel at the corner of the main street and a side street. No name in English) . In the past, you could find the famous-infamous telephone cards in front of all (major) hotels. Also this seems to be gone. You only find such cards very sporadically in front of some hotels. And in any case, these contacts are regularly only for Chinese..

My advice is to just go to Macau when you need to get your fix. It's pretty expensive, but at least you have plenty of options there.

Perhhaps, you may have better luck (hidden places or expensive! KTVs) if you have a Chinese tourguide. But then, the whole world knows about your hobby, and this might not be for everybody.

Conclusion: in case you look for P4 P, you better avoid Chongqing. There are plenty of better places on this planet.

Very happy that my information could help you finding the place and you had a great session. I agree, it is a bit on the expensive side, but during the last few times, I was never disappointed.
