Actually I had a couple of first experiences last evening. Both were at Empire Club (formally Defiance) The first involved a change of venue. As I approached the entrance I was directed to enter a door immediately to my right; not the main entrance door directly ahead. This door was the entrance to a small room with some couches in the center and small tables around the perimeter. At the far and of the room was a make shift bar with about 4 bar stools and a cooler full of beer. I asked the bartender what was going on with the main bar and was told it would be open the next night. I did not find out why the main bar was closed.

The way I have been handling the situation, early in the evening, is to tell the girl asking for a drink that I am getting ready to head out and maybe another time.
