I may be wrong here, but very little has been written about the saunas in Moscow. In fact, I can't remember anything being written in ANY of the FSU forums. I had the pleasure of partaking in a Moscow sauna last week and I thought I would share my experience.

There are literally hundreds of saunas in Moscow. Maybe even thousands. As the word implies, at the heart of the experience is a sauna and shower. But many if these little gems usually have a bar, karaoke machine, perhaps a pool table, dart board. Some will even have a plunge pool and even a swimming pool for your enjoyment. And of course – there are usually at least one or two private "relaxing" rooms that have a bed in each.

These private saunas should not be confused with the more public 'banya' which is a time honored tradition in Russia. I am sure that someone out there can probably enlighten us as to the technical difference between 'banya' and 'sauna' but I will leave that to someone more worldly than me.

The particular sauna my colleagues and I visited was in central Moscow and had a nice (but small) changing area where you strip off your clothes and put on either a bath robe or towel (bed sheet) depending on your preference and of course the obligatory 'tappochki' (slippers). Once changed you can go for a shower or a sauna. Or perhaps a bit of pool or darts. Normally drinks are served soon after arrival and perhaps food is ordered. In our case, we brought our own whiskey because alcohol at these saunas is served at restaurant prices and can get expensive.

Of course, after about 45 minutes of eating and drinking the first group of girls arrives. You can either arrange to have your own girls come or you can ask the sauna management to arrange for girls. Typically, the girls will get there faster if you let management arrange it. In our case, three girls arrived. Two were average and one was promising so we dismissed the average one and asked the cute one to join us. Being the guest, I was offered first choice but was told that I should not be afraid to 'trade up' if something better came along. And so the first girls stripped down and put on a towel joining us for drinks and snacks. About 30 minutes later, a new group of 3 arrived from which it was decided that one was acceptable and she, too was asked to join us.

This goes on until everyone has a 'companion'. If it means that you need 10 groups of girls to come before everyone is satisfied then so be it. But remember, you are on the clock so the longer it takes to choose, the more expensive it gets. This particular sauna went for about 1, 800 rubles an hour (excluding girls) which is, I am told, in the upper half of the price range.

I don't recall of it was 3 or 4 groups of girls who came in for 'auditions' but the when the last group came in there was one stunner. I could not take my eyes off her. It was obvious to my friends that I was interested and so they encouraged me to dismiss the girl who was tentatively assigned to me and choose the new little hottie. The guy in our group who was in charge of arrangements gave the girl 1, 000 rubles for taxi fare and thanked her for her time. This is a common practice and so these girls take it stride and don't make a fuss when they get to boot.

Once everyone had a 'buddy' we got down to more serious drinking and more serious recreation. Being a fairly conservative bunch we took turns going for private sessions with our new friends either in the bedrooms, the sauna or the swimming pool. The girls were under no illusion about why they were there and so complied with our wishes. So if you want to go into the sauna and lay on the bench bare ass naked and have her beat you with veniki (oak or birch branches) while she's stark naked than that's perfectly acceptable. And there's nothing stopping you from having fun with one group of girls and then deciding to swap them out for another batch halfway through the session. Just tell them good-bye, pay what you own and ask the management to order up a new team. Luxury.

What you immediately realize with these girls is that they are not your typical hookers. None of the wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am type of treatment you might get with some WG. These girls are there to spend TIME with you. They will drink with you, sing karaoke with you, swim naked with you, beat you with a branch and of course fuck you silly. These girls are very good natured and playful reminding me more of courtesans or geishas rather than hookers.

Now – they too are on the clock in the strictest sense if you want to play you are going to have to pay. Typically these girls will cost you 5, 000 rubles for the first hour on a declining scale depending on how long you stay. But make no mistake – this is NO bargain. It's EASY to have 4 or 5 hours slip by when you are having this kind of fun so don't go into this unless you are prepared to drop some coin. Just to give you an idea of the cost. There were three of us and we arrived about noon and left at 21:30. The whole affair cost us about 120, 000 rubles or about $4, 000 including whiskey, food, a 7000 ruble bottle of Beluga (gaaack) and of course the girls.

Yeah – not something you want to do every day, but certainly something you want to do at least once in your life.

I live near HD (the next street) and the taxi drove me home after an excellent party in Suchi Rumba (I recommend the place, excellent ratio male female a Saturday night) where I met a 21 year old brunette who was wonderful.

So the taxi drop me ont he sadovoe not far from where I live and I was just in front of these 2 girls who proposed to me their services straight.

As I said, less drunk I would have probably tried to negotiate for a Quick shot; I went to buy some food and 5 minutes later I saw the 2 girls leaving the place with their driver.

They were just trying a last desesperate offer. One was very nice, the other one quite old, I would not even pay 3 000 rubles for her.

i totally agree, it's a lot of time i do not get to nf. at that time the rate was 300 usd / night, so 500 usd / night is today credible, but with the same amount (or less) you can get a naive, homegrown teenager.

the stunners at nf are often not so "energetic" in sex as you wish, freebies ar by far better specially if they do not look like a tennis player!

naive, energetic, teens are around 200/400 usd day, less if thay can't sleep overnight (parents you know.).

by the way do not be worried if they seems young (if they are 18 it's ok) russian girls are by far more sexually trained than others.

these of course are in a higher price ranking, and are seeking for young not too ugly customers. looking at their ":3" album is worse than taking a whole box of viagra!

500 is about right, depending on the night and the time and her mood and what other prospects she thinks she might have. But, are you sure she said Dollars? That's a favorite trick of the NF girls: when the time comes to pay up, all of a sudden they want Euros. So, before you leave the club, make absolutely certain what the currency is.

Another trick is to promise you all night and then, as soon as you come, she goes. Never give her the money up front. Make it clear that you will pay her in the morning, when she leaves. If she doesn't agree to that, let her walk.

It is possible to successfully negotiate a deal with the dyeffki at NF, but it's a little like making a deal with the devil, or maybe negotiating a new contract with the Teamsters. There are so many other easier and more enjoyable ways to get laid in Moscow, why bother?

Face control is very unusual for strip clubs. Typically, they welcome everyone, as long as you are presentable and not falling-down drunk. And have money to spend, of course. The kind of face control you are talking about is only a concern at the high end civilian clubs (not part of the mongering world).

Most strip clubs offer sex-on-premises in some form. But, be aware that not all the girls you see may be available for sex: some may be just there to dance. Typically, every club will have a "Crazy Menu", which lists what is offered at the club and what are the prices. But that will usually be in Russian.

Even if the club does not offer sex-on-premises, just about every club will allow a girl to be "excused", so she can go out with you: for a fee of course.

The wonderful thing about strip clubs in Moscow is that just about anything is possible. So, if you see something that you like, don't be afraid to ask. All they can do is say,"No". But you will be surprised how many time they will say,"Yes".
