Based on what you have posted I would not be too inclined to be critical of the girl. Allow me to tell you before Oakie does. Things that you describe NEVER happen in Sosua. You must be doing something wrong. There is really nothing wrong with hanging out at the pool, you can see women come in with other guys, then when they leave that guy in the morning, you know they were a good time, as opposed to the ones who are out the door that same night to find someone else, you can see them in daylight, you can pick them up for cheap and not have to go downtown. The Santiago airport was small but had a relaxing feel to it with the outside rock waterfall with lots of canopy trees and benches to sit on for waiting arrivals They outside waiting area had 3 huge 5 blade fans with each blade about 10 feet / 3 meters long. I loved their politically correct labelling for the fan switch - "Big ass fan". The airport conversion rate was $1/40 versus $1/47 anywhere in Sosua. It was 1 am and the airport money changer office only had $60 worth of Peso. Amazing. FYI: The Sosua money changers will not exchange Pesos for USD when you leave the country (I tried 2 places).

Hotel:

Sosua is very small for example no fast food franchises. But everything is close. I stayed at Condos Dominicano. It was the off season and I stayed in their mini room in the back for $15 a night. Terrific value with small TV, 2 chairs with small table, mini refrigerator, hot water, A / see, toaster, microwave, wifi, pool with cabanas. The street sign on a pole says Wolfgang Mozart so Google is wrong listing it on Proyecto St. It is one street behind and one block over behind Anton Reef. 3 minute walk to Pedro Clisante St. 5 minute walk to Dr. Rosen Street (where the girls begin). 11 minute walk straight down Pedro Clisante to the beach..

Sosua has all the ingredients. Tropical beaches, good restaurants and bars, lots of young women selling their wares for a few trinkets.
