Sorry man, but you got conned. They only charge those prices for newbies. The usual rate is $10 per lap dance when you are alone with the girl, touch everywhere but the kitty. 15 minutes is usually 5 dances (3 minutes a song) so it should be $50. For two girls, it's double.

Just returned from Montreal and the Grey Cup Celebrations (Canada's Superbowl in case you didn't know).

Montreal is a great party town and the available escorts are simply amazing and beautiful. Others here have reported on the great outcall agencies so I will not delve on that.

My report is on the rip-off's going on along Rue St. Catherines. This was my first visit to Montreal, and maybe everything was out of whack because so many tourists were in town for the big game and the clubs were full. But still, the contact strip clubs downtown were completely out of touch, most notably Club Supersex on St. Catherines, one of the most popular in Montreal.

A good escort offering full GFE will run you $180.00 plus tip per hour, as is well known. So I will use that as a benchmark. The clubs on the otherhand have taken it on to charge patrons huge dollars for offering contact lap dances.

FYI, our crew of 6 guys in the first half hour paid up the following: $10 each for cover, $3 each for a sit down fee, and $52 for a bucket of 6 beer. But hey, the bucket included a "free" lap dance- how wonderful. So us suckers head upstairs for the private lap dance. Now we get its a $25 room fee (ok, fine), and the girls (lesbian show) charge $100 for 15 minutes (wait, what about the free lap dance, no, thats their tip they say!). Well, we pony up and get the show for 15 minutes, they do the usual DATY on each other, and sit on all of us (no touch on pussy). After 15 minutes, they offer an extension, but we politely decline. So now we ante up- the charge being $100 EACH for the 15 minutes (so much for a free lap dance).

Adding it all up we spent a total of $755.00 for a beer and quick lap dance each, and we just got there! Don't they know there is a recession!

The girls are (mostly) all beautiful and a good variety, the french canadian women are the best and stunning everywhere you go. But I would seriously recommend avoiding Club Supersex and others downtown.

It was funny too, as I chatted with one other girl in the club after my beer, and she complained how hard it was getting clients, as there was so many girls that worked there. Maybe a price mutiny is in order by the girls working there, as the club is obviously taking a healthy cut in the wages. And the girls are getting stiffed in the end (no pun intended).

From my obs, you guys don't really know how good you have it. I'm from Iowa and an experienced monger. I read that if you are the unlucky bastard they happen to check, you will most likely get denied entry into Canada with any criminal record whatsoever and basically have to take the next flight back. THAT WOULD FREAKING SUCK!!!

How much truth is in this & does anyone have any recent experiences or info on flying in?

We say in Italy "The world is beautiful because it is different" and then different opinions on Cleopatra are interesting. But, believe me, my contact lens were fully operational when I was there, and then my good impressions remain. I agree, however, that the area is quite nasty, comparing with the nearby part of the city, but I never felt unsafe there (this might depends on your own experiences in other parts of the world).

It might be possible that: 1. Girls are changing there and different persons were on duty when other ISG member visited the same Café Cleopatra; and 2. Thanks for the advice and kind offers. It was just a quick business trip, so Tuesday night turned out to be my only time to pursue action and adventure.

I ended up passing on Cleopatra. I thought hard about some of the outcall services described earlier, but actually had a need that preempted that. As an American, I had to find a television to be able to watch election returns that evening. There wasn't one in my room, which struck me as odd.

I agree with the last poster. I visit Montreal often, and in my opinion Cleopatra is a low-rent place with not-very-attractive dancers. If you like them big and chubby and ordinary looking, and you don't mind some rundown surroundings, then this is the place for you. Mileage is the best in the city, but the dancers are not attractive compared to the other clubs in town. I wouldn't worry too much about the area though - it's a little seedy, but safe enough as it is close to the main downtown area.

I prefer my dancers good looking, even if the mileage isn't top rank. And the mileage is still better than most places in the US and even in Toronto (except the Trinity). Any club in downtown will have $10 dancers that let your hands wander everywhere but the kitty. And some places like Kamasutra and Solid Gold (where it is $15 a dance) will have some dancers that are even more liberal (although not as much as Cleo).

Just few lines about Cafe Cleopatra I visited several times in the last five days of my staying in Montreal, following the suggestions of Mr. Vitrea.

I had really a great time in this place, continuous pole dancing on stage and private dancing if you like it, for a relatively modest money investment. If SF is your primary target, this maybe is not the place for you. If you wanna have preliminary approaches and really GFE but not sex, this is the place to enter in for. IMHO girls level is very high (8-10/10), some 10+ and few exceptions are on this point. There were almost 50/60 girls on duty having different time schedule during the week (some on the morning, some others for the nightshift) I tried private dances with around 20 girls in my overall staying and just one was not fully satisfying to me, since I feel the girl had no passion at all doing her job (but she was beautiful. On the other hand). For the others always hugs, kisses, (French kisses in a case.), caresses and touching almost all the body and passion. Maybe fake passion, maybe there are actresses in this respect, but usually when you pay for a girl fiction is one of the main component of the story. Entrance price is 5 cad$, you can take a drink but waitress do not force you to drink more. Maybe this is late for you, but ATMs generally pay better than banks. It's mostly determined by the issuer of your card; there are a few that will pay the mid-market rate comparable to what shows at xe.com, some add up to 3%, some take a flat dollar amount. I'm not up-to-date on charges from Canadian banks; some may add $2 or so.
