Spent most of the day shopping & yelling at kids who persistently followed me! Met up with my friend at the British Club that evening, walloped him in pool again, he was annoyed because he easily beat me in the 1st 3 games but then I never lost again.

Another guy had joined us by then & he said he'd been told a good place called ABC. Turned out to be a family type restuarant with horrid country music. Got stuck there a while as it started to bucket down. Finally a taxi came & we had to get through an 8 foot wide fast flowing stream on the road outside the bar. My friends jandals got swept away as he tried to get through.

We went to the Emporer bar, which turned out to be the wrong place, it's a KTV bar. We should of asked for Emporer nightclub. Got another taxi eventually, still pouring down. Emporer was ok, 3000k entry, fashion show, lotsa girls dancing when the show finished. Some fairly nice. A small, cute Indian girl took a fancy to me, but I was too sore for sex that night & she seemed a bit too mercenary.

Then suddenly all the girls left & the place was closed. Went back to the hotel & crashed.

Next morning I tried to spend my remaining 26000K but couldn't find anything I wanted to buy. Used most of it on the 15000K airport tax ($10) & on the taxi. Sold the rest to teachers at my school in Bangkok.

Overall I liked Yangon, nice girls, comparatively simple life, cheap everything. The beggars were the only bad thing, but they weren't unmanageable. Next trip I think will be Cambodia to check out Sophie's. But I will go back to Burma sometime, maybe even to work.

i made a short trip to rangoon after saugandh and other viewing members' reports. since he asked us to crack the cinema scene, here is my very short report.

1. i was on a 5-wk mission which included trekking in tibet for 2 weeks and stay in nepal, india, cambodia, thailand and burma. i stayed at panorama as per recommendations here. they charge $25/day if you book directly with them. if you go through a travel agent, you pay $22/day. go figure. i asked them about it, and they said that the travel agents buy the rooms in bulk and resell it. lousy excuse, i think.

i picked up a few girls in front of the cinema close to sakura towers. they only work between 10 am and 4 pm. mamasan is always present around them. you select who you want and deal directly with mama. all negotions were done very discretly in almost sign language. some go to panorama with id, some do not (may be because they do not have id or are ****). front desk keeps the id till the girl returns from your room. i paid between kyt 4000-5000 for 1-2 hour + tips. i really liked one girl, but she was so busy, i could not meet her again. i met mama many times and she said my girl is busy servicing others. i also took mama and 3 girls for lunch and they gave me scoop about the scene here. seems like the 4-5 girls are attached to one mama. i saw at least 4-5 mamas. used others too. mama goes with them to cinema or other high traffic locations. clients come to mama, arrange the deal (very quietly in sign language), and take a girl to their home or short-term hotel/guesthouse. girl walks behind you in a descrete manner. they are generally quite polite. you may find gems here. most girls are young, unspoiled and tight despite the mileage. ymmv. in my view, best bang for the buck. if you like one, reserve her for a day. it only costs 20k. my mistake i did not do it.

i took one girl to her location, because she was so sweet and i melted in her smile. i have never met a girl who could smile for me forever. she would not go to panorama (id issue). the location was a less than decent apartment behind the railway station, but there was a family present. i felt quite uncomfortable. the bed had a plastic sheet on it. i did the deed in 15 minutes and left. i'd not recommend it to others.

2. i went to kt behind asia hotel twice. paid kyt 3000 for entrance, 2000 for drink, 1000 tip. hated the fashion show. met a girl, could not see her real face behind makeup and dim light. took her to hotel. she stayed all night for kyt 20000. decent performance. most do not do bbbj. you have to negotiate with each one. i learned rough burmese for it "mo dick?" kyt 20k is the standard rate, however, some were demanding 40-50k. i told them to pound sand. some mamasans with girls were also here.

3. first day, tried bellboy supplied girl for the night. 20k + tip. not great, no bbbj. girls are sweet though. remember thailand 30 years ago? no cell phone, no(less) attitude, overall great service.

4. it was cloudy or raining most of the time. had to buy an umbrella. went to a pagoda. did not do any tourist thing. had massage every day for 2-3 hours from the ladies sitting outside the hotel (under the bridge). paid kyt 7000 per day + tip. one was tight enough to fuck. the ladies, taxi drivers and bellboys can also arrange young girls for you (20-30k per night).

5. on last day, slipped in shower and broke one rib. had to take painkillers and sit in coach for a long flight. one massage lady really helped me, applied balm, gave me painkillers, and took me to the taxi. i am very thankful to her. she has a great personality.

in all, it was a great expereance. but, due to time, less was explored. can not wait for next trip.

9 O'clock met up with my friend & our guide so began a long day... She took us everywhere! I got $50 changed at 1320 Kyats per dollar in the Bog market. Then hired a taxi for 6000K for a few hours. Started at the huge reclining Buddha & met the head monk who is Karen. Checked out the monk school & gave them a few thou as a donation.

Then went over the river across the Japanese built rail/road bridge and went to a small fishing village for lunch. Pretty stinky place & dirt poor but very nice, kind, generous people. Visited a market a little further away (all this happened within the vicinity of the oil refinery), pretty big & full of the cheapest food & goods imaginable. Definitely no tourists go to this place. Then checked out a Hindu temple, pretty simple place & various Buddhist temples, before visiting our guides relatives. Her Nephew spoke very good English & is keen on reading the classics. Although well out of his price range & availability is extremely limited. My friend ended up buying him a book later on in the trip. A good thing to take for presents is English books of any kind.

By this time I was fed up with playing the tourist so we went back to town & I went my own way. Agreed to meet my friend at the British bar at 8 so caught a taxi from the hotel. The driver turned out to be pretty cool. He was cheap & spoke good English so I continued to use him for the rest of the trip. After the 1st trip he said I could pay whatever I wanted, so I tested him on 1 short trip for 200 kyats, no problem. After that I paid him more generously & he was always happy to wait for me, definitely a good friend to have. His name is Nyi (Nee) & he's always under the underpass outside the Panorama hotel.

After dinner & pool the taxi driver recommended BME2. He said Friday to Sunday nights are best there, while the other nights Emporer is best. Well it was great, scores of chicks, 3000K to get in, not many punters. A very cute Indian girl latched onto my friend while an odd looking girl went for me. I checked out the dance floor, v good music selection, 80's thru to todays dance music. My friend was staying at a family hotel so no action for him so I took the Indian girl off his hands, It was one of my goals to bed an Indian girl, so this made me v happy. She said she liked hairy men & I do have hairy arms so she seemed happy & off back to the hotel.

In the dank light of the club she seemed quite light skinned, which wasn't exactly what I wanted but in the real light of my room she was quite dark & very sexy. 20 yrs old, 5 foot, perky breasts, tidy body. Thank you to previous posters who made my trip far more enjoyable than I could of without your information.

Saturday, flew from the new Suvarnabhumi airport, it's great, but the queues were extremely long, to Yangon with Bangkok Air. I bought my ticket 3 days before at a travel agent next to Nana Disco for 5900B. Good price I thought considering I could change my flights. Plane left an hour late at 12:40 (no reason given), better time to fly than with Air Asia I thought.

Zipped through Yangon immigration in 2 minutes, went to the official travel desk & arranged a $5 taxi for me & 3 others I met on the plane. The driver & the guide were great, they had a crappy van (all taxis are crappy in Yangon) but Mike spoke great English & wasn't pushy at all in telling us about his extra services driving people around the country. I definitely recommend him as he knows when to not talk to much, unlike many tour guides. You can contact him at www.kotartravels.com.

I wanted to stay at Panorama hotel so they took me there last & arranged for me to pay $20 a night to his company rather than the $30 the hotel wanted for a superior room. Sweet deal, nice room, suited me perfectly.

The Bell boy offered to send a couple of girls to my room so feeling like relieving myself of a load before I hit the town I agreed. 2 girls arrived promptly at 5, one was very plain & a bit too chunky the other was almost cute in an odd way with an ok body so I chose her for $10 for 1 hour or $20 all night if I wanted her to stay. Moe Moe's English was acceptable so we could talk a bit & we soon got down to a nice BJ finished by pretty good sex, although I had a big build up so I didn't last long.

So after an hour of this it was back to my room for more very tight sex & a good sleep. i made a 8 day trip to yangon. this was my first monger trip in a long long times. now working on some heavy duty work projects to ensure myself i can still monger in style for another 20 years.

my mom was with a tour group to asia for a 2 weeks tour, singapore and myanmar, and malaysia. i went to meet up with her in yangon where she spent 2 days. they stayed in traders so i booked there as well. 55 usd a night. went sightseeing with her group the first 2 days so my hunt started day 3 after they went on to mandalay and bagan.

some updates on yangon.

weather: very bad. raining everyday and rained almost all day, non stop. broke umbrella 2 times.

money: the exchange rates in bogyoke is 1300-1350. 1350 for 100 usd bill. other small bills all about 1300-1325. some shops will lie and only give you 1000 per dollar, so ask around.

taxi:anywhere within the city, the taxi will ask you 1500 or so. i observed 1500 will get you anywhere within the city. at late hours, the taxi will ask you 2000, but some bargaining taxi drivers may accept 1500 as well. from airport 5usd from counter, 4 usd from ourside terminal but outside taxis are all so antique and probably would break down on the way to center.

foods: the hotel restaurants are all quite expensive. the briyani restaurants are very cheap and everywhere. 1000 or so for a big bowl of chiken briyani. chinese dim sum are everywhere, 1000 will make you full. also myanmar noodle shops are good, 500-1000 for a big bowl of noodle soups.
other cheaper and clean foods that i ate, wonderful cafe, apk thai foods, pizza corner, pattaya thai foods, tokyo restaurant, many donut shops, singapore chinese restaurant, ect. not a whole lot of variety for quick clean foods.

about ladies:

night 1 and 2 stayed with mama.
night 3: i went to emperor(the locals all call it empire). it was really dark can hardly see anything. i waited and walked around. i was swarmed all over by so many girls. i observed there are lots of taiwanese, japanese in the vip rooms, and all the girls lined up waiting to be selected. i did not see anything i like in the dark. perhaps all the cuties were taken by the taiwanese and japanese clients in the vip rooms. there was a fashion show starts at 9pm. but the girls are simply any ordinary girl with ordinary clothing walking around waiting for the flower lei from customers.

night 4: went to jj. taxi 1500 from city quite far. it was too early but waited. checked out lots of girls but nothing special. waited. then there is the fashion show again. still nothing interesting. later found a slim girl but not too cute. she cannot speak any english but tried so hard to talk to me and she seemed very nice. so we went agreed 20000 with gesture. this one also gave me some extend of bbbj but again very very brief. she had some smell in the pussy even after shower so i was a bit turned off. i sent her home again with taxi money 2000 plus tip 3000.

I got an exchange rate of Kyat 1350- 1400 to US$1 during my stay. Best to exchange in the Bogyoke market from the jewellery shops.

Official rate which is used in bank is different from that is used in local money changers, although heard they are called "illegal" ones. I never understood how can it be illegal when its the one that is used and accepted by everyone in the country.

I am still dreaming of my days in Rangoon and already thinking when to go back. And yes Sakaundeh you are right on the mamasan, she looked really young, had the Indian look but did not have braces. Might have taken it out since you last saw it.
Already married, hmmm. I was also thinking on the same lines as you, speaks english, moves well and knows her job. Would be be real fun to have her. lol
