After reading some positive reports on Cucuta recently, I decided to make my way there myself. I went to avenida 7 last night. It was sad. I guess my standards are much higher than the previous posters. There were mostly 5's and 6's maybe a 7 in the mix in the whole 4 blocks. Inside the bars were all the same, ratio of guys to girls was about 10 to 1. It was a Saturday night, so maybe everyone was out, but I figured there would be more girls too. This was not the case. Too many dudes in the clubs. Ugly girls in the streets.

There were a few posters who declared cucuta a heaven for cheap venezolanas and wanted to keep it for themselves. Take it its yours. I won't be coming back here again.

It will take me 4 flights and 22 hours to get there. I will stay at the Hilton / something else at first till I get the lay of the land. Thanks to TallMan and others for your posts which have been fun to read and helpful. I hope somehow to get a Venezuela passport stamp while I'm there but I'm not into taking too many chances.

Q1 Is there a Bar Laveinte (Cali) type bar there. Large area with 30 -40 chicas?

Q2 I see a lot of parks on Google. Which is the best for chicas and at what time?

Q3 Any advice about getting a Ven Pas Port stamp?

4 flights and 22 hours? That's insane! Are you flying into Cucuta directly from your country? It would be much easier to just fly into either Bogota or Medellin and then from either city fly to Cucuta. There are nonstop flights to Cucuta for $100. I have never been to Cucuta but am planning to go there. But I think you will be there first before me so please write some trip reports about your experiences so I will know what to expect. I think TallMan and others have said in their reports that Avenida 7 is THE spot to pickup girls. The number of girls, especially Venezuela girls, seems to be in the hundreds. Can you confirm that when you are on the ground? If it is true, that should be enough pussies for me to choose from.

Since you like Bar La Veinte in Cali I think you will love the bars on Av 7 in Cucuta. I too enjoyed the vibe and dirty bare bones of Bar La Veinte in Cali when I visited it twice back in May.

Now as for action in the parks, yes you will notice on the maps that there are a number of them, you need to know that I was not impressed and I made a consistent effort, I drove from Medellin to Cucuta twice so had my own car and could really check out the park scene number of times both day and night, but if you must check out any park I found that Parque Mercedes Abrego had the most action and it is a 10-12 minute walk from the bars on Av 7, but again I was not impressed and found everything that I needed in terms of street walkers and bars on Av 7 starting at about the bus terminal up to about Calle 5 a.

I am still in daily contact with a few favorites, Venezuelan bar chicas working the Av 7 bars, and they are all trying to entice me back to Cucuta.

Will I ever return to Cucuta? Probably no as we have so many cute Venezuelan right here in Medellin there is simply no need to look elsewhere, heck I spent the whole day yesterday with a really cute 20 yo Venie that I met a few nights ago in a drink bar in centro, I mean this cutie could be a teen model for Ambercrombi & Fitch clothing she is that cute and fresh.

And do yourself a favor and don't try to enter into Venezuela, heck Cucuta is risky and dangerous enough to quench even a risk taker.

Well looks like the only other gringo that you are sharing Cucuta with is with me.

Coincidentally I just got off the whatsapp with one of my favorite chicas from Cucuta. She is back in Valenzuela now but will return to Cucuta when I am in town, kind of like a welcoming party.

The old "to each his own" applies here. Did you have high expectations with cucuta? I see that you play in Africa and Brazil and find it hard to grasp your characterization that every chica in Cucuta looks like a pig.

At night you stay in the hotel. Tomorrow I will call online girls and this is the only option in Cucuta.

If you think you bring sexy lady from bar or club to hotel just forget this.

Let me report about online girls tomorrow. Cucuta only option for hotels are high end above 28 usd. Anything below are for dogs standard.

Reports sound tempting cheap girls etc but you get what you pay for. Skip Cucuta and go mainstream.

Well. Show me all of them. He talk me upstairs and start to knock on doors. Few girls open seems they live there.

The best thing in this story is the receptionist he can call girls from all over the city even seriously good one. Funny guy. He will arrange everything.

I was staying in Hotel Zaraya for 90 k swimming pool etc nice room but cold water in all rooms.

So better to stick to a casa instead to walk at night and get laid with pigs girls. Or save 200 usd return flight and not to come at all.

Did I enjoy Cucuta? Yes but not due to sex. Just nice experience that not worth the flight cost.

So at the end of the day, is it worth taking a flight into seecuta for mongering, or better to stick to the beaten path? I'll be in country in November, and flights are cheap enough you can fly in and out for less than $100. I'm into Venezuolanas, but it kind of looks like some of the smaller cities like Pereira, Armenia, and Bucamaranga are all pretty active and reasonable as well? Just asking- want to optimize the whole experience, dontchaknow??

Late last year, my work took me to this place which is in absolute paradise for cheapskates. No one knew about this until the great Maduro decided to oppress his people, more. Anyway, I spent just over a month here. The place I not very safe late at night, but if you don't look flashy and remain observant, you'll be fine.

Accommodation: I stayed at the Holiday inn and Hamptons (Hilton). Both are GF, but due to the reporters from around the world and the do-gooders staying there, you got to be very careful as this is the type of shit they are trying to prevent / report. The manager of the Hampton Inn actually used to work in Venezuela and we got on well during my time there. She was complaining about the crime and prostitution in the area. Would've loved to creampie her. Anyway, the Hampton Inn is a little more discreet as the reception is on the top floor. The security guys are cool, you can wait for your girl downstairs and bring her in with you. Saw several mongers taking advantage of this. I also found this to be a safe location to walk around late at night, but not much mongering in this region. English is almost non-existent, but my basic broken Spanish got me around.

Casas / Bars: The main action is just south of Monumento al Indio Motilon, but I only went here once. It was not safe at all I am pretty relaxed about safety, but did not feel, especially with so many migrants and druggies. Lucky to have not been a victim. I stuck to two 'blue light' bars that I found reasonable and chilled. There's a little red door next to a motorcycle repair shop on the east of Parque Nacional on Av. 3, Cal 8 a. You go in, get a beer if you want or can just sit there and wait for girls to come. There's also porn on the screen. The cost is 50 k all inclusive and it's mostly part-time Colombians at this place went here almost everyday followed by my place below. Got uncovered service, but not CIP.

I wanted to try Venezuelans and found a place on Cal. 11 Av. 3 intersection. They have 2-3 smoking hot 22 year olds who charge around 70 k for the hour. I probably overpaid, but worth every penny. The rooms are crap, the shower facilities crap, but man the girls were amazing. I got all services uncovered and CIP too. She calls herself Vanessa, got her whatsapp.

I never tried outcall as the girls were asking too much and didn't want colleagues finding out about my hobby.

There are some other bars (official paisa) around a bus terminal, but I found it too be too loud and did not feel safe at night.

Changing money is super easy, but you have to be very careful as I saw 4 muggings, 2 shootouts in just 1 month during the day. Also got followed by some youngsters, not once, not twice but thrice, but lost them in a mall (near centro). Be careful. Apart from mongering, there's not much in this town, it's a shithole. But overall.

I stayed at the holiday inn in Cututa for a few days a few years ago and it was definitely not Girl Friendly. They tried to charge me even 50 k for having her up in my room for about an hour. All this, even though the room was booked for 2 and she was the only other person to ever be in my room. One thing to note was that I did not escort the girl up to my room, she arrived at the front desk and asked for my room number. Maybe that had something to do with it. In the end, I made a stink about the extra charge and they removed it.

A few comments:

1) I am glad you stood your ground. You booked for 2 persons and you were NOT bringing 2 or 3 different girls every night.
This is how I would have dealt with this front desk BS:

I booked for 2 people and you still want to charge a guest fee just because my GF visited me for one evening.
Lower my room rate to the 1 person rate and I will pay the 50 K guest fee. You cannot have it both ways.

2) Whenever possible, the girl should not go to the front desk. In other words, meet the girl in the lobby, parking lot, Starbucks etc.

3) Cucuta is NOT Cartagena. Lets keep it that way, if you know what I mean.
