Typhoon Karding (Noru) passed East to West over Luzon late Sunday (09/25) to early Monday (09/26) morning.

The effect on AC was minimal. There was rain and wind but not anything out of the normal range.

Walking Street was especially dead Sunday night, perhaps people stayed home due to the Typhoon.

Prices are high and quality has dropped so the value proposition of a long expensive flight from the west is not that great anymore. AC is more a 4 day jaunt for people living in Asia and local expats. Still, its a reliable place for bareback sex with young Filipinas at a reasonable, but not cheap, price. It is what it is.

AC is still my recommended go-to place for the 2-week warrior. Even if you skipped the NCR completely, you could effectively barfine daily at the p4000 range and be happy as a pig in mud. P4 k gets a hottie every time. Also nearly completely maskless, as opposed to my returning to the NCR and running into bunches of people still wearing masks (mostly pinoy). Its an odd dichotomy.

However for AC. Attached pic was taken recently in AC just after midnight. Not sure if you can zoom in on that (must reduce resolution size to post here), but you can see all the way to the end of WS (MacAurthur Hwy end) from Baccara. While you see some people in the street, they are locals and employees (not customers). Pic taken on a Saturday morning early AM (sad sight). You can see the McDonald's sign in the upper-center background. Consider that there are very few people in this WS pic for a Friday night, and I think there are no customers in this picture, its quite a statement.

One could get the impression that are more foreigners sitting in Phillies / Envy / Kok's than there are on WS or in the bars. AC / WS gives the impression that it has become an old-timer's resto hangout area, with some gogo bars up the street for young whipper-snappers to have fun in.

Korean bars are always empty because punters come, pick up and go to their rooms and probably drink Soju there. Its not always like this. On a different night, around 11:30 pm, I got a massage and then walked WS. It was a bit more busy. BTW, around on Real St, the old Tropix (or next door, previously Agasaya) has been turned into a pool hall, complete with pretty door barkers trying to get you inside to play pool. Are the barkers GRO? Snooker-and-snatch?

Its still a great place for the instant-gratification warrior. Barfines on WS and Fields are typically p3-4 k, depending the bar. Perimeter bars BF were p2200 - 2500.

I've stayed at the ABC hotel many times which is the most debauched place of shelter on the planet.
