Hi Guys,
This might be a bit 'out there' but I'm looking for a good phone app that translates Tagalog to English...Good luck but you might struggle to find something that actually works. I don't know too many Asian girls that speak 100% Tagalog, Thai, Bahasa etc when talking amongst themselves. Its always a fucked up spanglish of Tagalog, English and slang often with some local dialect (s) thrown in for good measure.
The only exception is Visayans who are proud of their heritage and really promote the use of Bisaya.
Cheers. G.

Can't help with a specific app. However you can just turn your phone volume down so that your current translator won't say the English words aloud. What about using airpods (or a like device) during such activities?

The I'm sure there's better apps out there than the one I have. I was just a late starter with mobile / cell phones which are now mini computers. I spend most of my time on a laptop for my business.

The app I've experimented with does do a fairly good job of translating. At least you get a basic idea of what they're chatting about. And the Talagog I've got hold of, was lost on me in parts of Cebu. When you've got three girls rubbing you up in a bar it would be nice to know exactly what they're saying. However, when I've generally been in this situation without knowing what they're saying, I then spit out a line like "gusto ko kayong lahat" ie: "I'd like to fuck all of you" and I get the shock, horror look from them all, thinking "Fuck, he speaks Tagalog and can understand us." Phil.
What about using airpods (or a like device) during such activities?.Hi NR, thanks for the tip but airpods are just an other thing for me to get familiar with. I also find them to be a bit of a turn-off when someone's using / wearing them. I find the attention seems to be elsewhere of the people using them. However, I'm sure there's a similar solution as you suggest. Phil.
I has been a very long time, so I do have a few questions. And yes, I will continue to RTFF.
History first:
The US Navy introduced me to Subic Bay in 1978. That was when I started my long mongering career. Being on ships, we spent quite a bit of time in the Subic Bay; I loved the place.
In 1991, my ship was in Subic Bay during the eruption of Mount Pinatubo. Both bases were destroyed and we helped evacuate the military families.
Now I am headed back and looking forward to a new experience.
My itinerary:
Malina – Three nights at New Coast Hotel.
AC – Six nights at ABC Hotel.
Olonapo – Two nights (no hotel yet).
Questions:
What are your thoughts on my itinerary?
Is private transportation available to and from the cities I selected?
BTW, are there and midgets available? (asking for a friend).
Thanks to all in advance.

Thanks to all in advance.Hi Tom, firstly thanks for your service. Much appreciated. As for your itinerary, I'm sure you'll have a decent time in all places, though they would have definitely changed since your last visit. I plan a different itinerary on every trip, apart from starting and ending with business in Manila. I personally try to seek out a new location every now and then and if it doesn't work out, I'll know not to return or try somewhere else next time. Yes, you'll find private transport in all areas at a reasonable price. As for the midgets, I can't help you with that one. But it is The Philippines and anything can happen. Phil.

Timeframe seems fine in terms of nights in each city.
Malina Three nights at New Coast Hotel. What market are you hitting here, LA Cafe? An alternative might be Makati / Burgos.
Is private transportation available to and from the cities I selected?Yes. Consider Beeway Travel, located on Fields Ave in AC, near the old Camelot gogo bar. Cost for pickup most anywhere in the NCR (airport, your hotel, etc) and then direct to your hotel in AC (or the reverse), is p3500 cash. They are a tour and travel agency (and tourist Immigration services), and I'm sure they can get you to Subic / Olangapo also.

Tijuana.Your itinerary is fine. My only comment is that all the places named are love or hate them so book refundable tickets so that you can extend or depart as you want.
Subic / Barrios Barreto is one long road. It's a long walk from one end to the other. Normal transport is available during the day or a trike mafia at night. If you are a walker, like me, just book at one end and you will be able to go door to door.
Inter city transport is widely available: busses, taxis, hire car. ABC even has a heli pad.
There are a few midgets around, working security. I'm sure if your friend 😜 asked nicely, they would have little friends.
I liked your photos. Boat delivery adds a whole new meaning to outcall. Feel free to add some more if you have them.
Enjoy your return trip. I'm sure some things will have changed drastically and some will still be the same.
Enjoy. G.

Thank you for the information. I feel that we have crossed mongering paths before. Here are some more pics from 1991.
Thank you for the information. I feel that we have crossed mongering paths before. Here are some more pics from 1991.Thanks. Could be. '78 was well before my time but '91 is closer to my vintage. I remember hearing about Pinatubo at the time. I was in Asia but not Philippines.
With our emergency services, insurance, relief packages etc, it's easy to underestimate the ongoing devastation that natural disasters can cause elsewhere. I was in Sabang when a typhoon passed directly over head. Power, water etc were turned off the day before, to stop houses burning down etc and weren't turned back on in some places for literally months. There are many similar stories around earthquakes etc.
Cheers. G.

I am hoping to make a trip to BKK later in the year, and it occurred to me to do a stop over for a few days in the Philippines. One reason is that there are direct flights from LOS Angeles to Manila that are about 14 hours. Most connecting flights to BKK total about 24 hours which is brutal. I haven't made a good plan yet, but thinking of trying 2 or 3 places possibly Makati, Angeles, Subik or possibly an island that has some limited action. I know RTFF is always the suggestion, but this will take weeks of research. I think RedCat may be out of date, so I would trust you pro mongers for advice. A week to 10 days, an area that has good selection within a reasonable walk or ride. My last trip to BKK was mostly a disappointment, but I am familiar with it at least and hope to have better luck this time around. Any suggestions appreciated!

Stan.As you still have plenty of weeks to research, it would really help if you did RTFF about the places you mentioned, then come back with questions about specific issues you may have.

Stan.Makati, AC and Subic are all point and shoot, if you're not too fussy, then you will be having fun for the whole time you are there. Remember though that you will loose a day round trip just getting to each. That leaves you with only 2 days at each getting your rocks off.
Throw in a nice beach or something similarly out of the way and your travel time increases as does the time to find a suitable girl. You could easily be down to one or even no meaningful sessions.
Only you can decide if you prefer to see a few different places but not achieve much at each or if you want to stay at one or two and do more.
Enjoy. G.
Your going to move to the Philippines or any other country a big mistake I've seen many here make is not renewing their passport to get a full ten years. Yes guys keep a mailing address like a brother etc but don't realize a passport that's good for 3 more years can still be renewed early. Last thing you want to do is arrive at your new home and have to travel to the embassy and deal with all of that extra paperwork.

Sounds good, but why the short stay? Most of the western girly bar action is in Barrio Barretto where you'll find many retired military expats. Central Park Reef is across from Mo's (Dave) Maze bars which are quite popular especially on Fridays when they have their Son's of Bacchus (SOB) weekly party.

https://apnews.com/article/philippine-police-kidnapping-tourists-fb3bc4cf8ca252d6fbcb744681334dd9This kind of thing is almost never random in this case a well known KFR (kidnap for ransom) gang.
They usually target people in and around POGO hubs this is mostly how the crooked police get involved and why these are almost exclusively Chinese Taiwanese Korean and Malaysian. These people pay the ransom and go on with their lives they make sure that these guys are not totally clean but also have the wealth to pay a 1-2 million pesos ransom. Which is about 20-40 thousands dollars.
It is highly unlikely that they would target an american. Americans first call would be to the embassy Chinese won't do this. Since the Chinese are going to the philippines for POGO activity they will most likely decline embassy assistance and the likelihood of the embassy actually helping them is slim to none. I'm sure they go in ready with transactions and amounts of money the chinese have on hand due to POGO Anti-Money Laundering requirements so they go in well prepared and well informed because they have dossier on these people already.
This news article is more like don't get involved in POGO activity which most mongers I'm sure do not take part in. If you don't want to be held for ransom in the philippines don't go wander off in the south to find abu sayyaf and don't gamble.

Report it as "lost". Then apply for a replacement?US passport renewal info, news. This first link is a news article. The article states that there is a new US gov website (second link) that is in beta mode, offering online tourist US passport renewals. There are some limitations outlined in the article, copy / pasted* here. Not sure how / if this applies to US fellas living overseas yet. The system is in beta and will change over time. Even if you live in Phils, many of us have a US residence (family) where they might be able to have a new PP sent to (fam can send it to you via UPS or such in Phils). This is the standard 8-week turnaround, not for emergency renewal. It might be easier to apply for a new PP thru the US Embassy in Manila. Cost is the standard $130 USD for any new or replacement PP.
https://currently.att.yahoo.com/news/online-passport-renewal-now-available-211252703.html
To qualify for online passport renewals, applicants must:
* Have an existing USA Passport that was issued no more than 15 years prior to the new application date. It must still be in the applicant's possession, and not previously reported lost or stolen.
* Not be changing their name, gender, date of birth or place of birth for the new passport.
* Be applying for a regular tourist passport.
* Live in a USA State or territory.
* Be able to pay the renewal fee using a credit or debit card online.
* Be able to upload a digital photo.
* The State Department will not offer expediting for online passport renewals during the system trial period, so it requires applicants to certify that they have no international travel plans for at least eight weeks from the application date.
* The fee for online passport renewal is the same as renewal by mail $130. The State Department advises applicants that their existing passport will be canceled as their renewal application is processed. New passports will still be delivered by mail after the application is approved
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/have-passport/renew-online.html
From the State website:
You can renew online if you meet all these requirements:
* The passport you are renewing is or was valid for 10 years, and you are age 25 or older.
* The passport you are renewing was issued between 2009 and 2015, or over 9 years but less than 15 years from the date you plan to submit your application.
* You are not changing your name, gender, date of birth, or place of birth.
* You are not traveling internationally for at least 8 weeks from the date you will submit your application. We will only offer routine service during this limited release, and the time it takes to get a passport will be the same as renewing by mail.
* You are applying for a regular (tourist) passport. You cannot renew a special issuance (diplomatic, official, service) passport online.
* You live in the United States (either state or territory). You do not qualify to renew online if you live in a foreign country or have an Army Post Office (APO) or Fleet Post Office (FPO) address.
* You have your passport with you, and it is not damaged or mutilated, and you have not previously reported it as lost or stolen. Keep your most recent passport and do not mail it to us.
* You can pay for your passport using a credit or debit card.
* You can upload a digital passport photo.
* You are aware that the passport you are renewing will be canceled after you submit your application and you cannot use it for international travel.

It seems the Filipina Pea is working overtime. Besides the YT channel, she has a tiktok channel with mostly shorter vids (2 minutes or less is typical). Some gems that I found:
https://www.tiktok.com/@thefilipinapea/video/7168846359397666074 -- 10 minute vid. Passport Bro discussion, some western ideas debunked. Go team Pea.
https://www.tiktok.com/@thefilipinapea/video/7067904568394386715 -- 2 minute vid. Star Trek TOS parody, funny (the Pea on the bridge of the Enterprise, with Capt Kirk).
WC.
Much more difficult to get a replacement for a lost passport. (Especially in Afghanistan but that is another story. LOL).Authorities want to see the dead body. If you want to play that game, boil your passport in water, add ink to the mix, wait till it is messed up, take out and dry. Then apply for replacement, saying you were out camping.
Greetings,
I am thinking about traveling to some place in Asia this summer. I have been to the Philippines several times, not sure I want to go back there this time but I might. Is there another Asian country where you have similar DIA, Tinder, Filipinas (or any other women in the country) that will come as a "Non Pro"? Not necessarily going to have a mongering trip but a few days with companionship would be nice. NOTE: I will make a side trip to Thailand at some point, probably not this trip. Thanks in advance.

And another Filipina Pea video, 14 minutes, titled: DO NOT RETIRE IN THE PHILIPPINES NOW - Things Are Different!.
An explained list of reasons why moving to Phils will make you unhappy. She explains up front that this vid will not make viewers happy. An explicit look at the country's problems the frustrate foreigners. "While the beautiful women part is true, the rest is highly debatable". I found everything she says here is true. Her listed reasons for not moving here include:
* It not as cheap to live here as you think. While its possible to live on a limited / fixed foreign retirement or SS, its also limited here. Expenses here increase faster than your fixed retirement (add an asawa, kids, her family, etc).
* Don't come here thinking you will get a filipines job or start a business. They inevitably fail. If filipinos see your business succeed, they will emulate it and soon there will be too many similar businesses located near yours, driving prices down to the level of their poverty. Local government red tape, unsteady product supply lines, employees who show up to work when they want, and a financially poor customer base.
* Type-A personalities don't do well here. If you are easily frustrated, then you will be constantly frustrated. The bureaucracies, waiting in line, inefficiency, and pinoy unwillingness to change outdated systems can make you crazy. Seems charming at first, but not later.
* You can't bring your western lifestyle here. Many western items are not available: Carpet, central aircon / heat, hot water heater servicing the entire home, and plumbers on emergency call don't exist. Reliable water, electricity, and internet don't always co-exist here.
* Grocery stores won't carry all the items that you want, forcing you to shop at more than one grocery store weekly. Worse even is that when one store does carry an item that you want, the supply chain problems mean that such products are intermittent. Depending time of day and time of year (close to holidays), be prepared to stand in line for 30 minutes to make your purchase. Lack of variety in products in grocery stores. "You don't go shopping here to find what you want. You go shopping here to find whatever they have on display. If you don't like that, you go shopping at another store that has exactly the same products".
* Many expats purchase a car, motorcycle, or small tryke of some kind for transport. Welcome to driving, heavy traffic (even in the provinces), and lack of parking space near your chosen destination.
* You need to develop a noise filter. Chickens, jack hammers, dogs barking, loud music and such, even into the night, are a normal part of life here.
* Complaining about things is a no-no. It never changes anything, and makes the locals dislike you. "Start a shouting match with your neighbors, and you discover no one is on your side, even if you're right".

Wherever you go these days, apps should put you in touch with local talent.
My next visit will be 6 weeks in length. As I understand it, I have two options: 1) apply for a 3-month single-entry visa beforehand (cost: approx 45 EUR), or 2) "Upon arrival in the Philippines, citizens of the above-listed countries who wish to stay longer than thirty days can apply for an extension at the nearest Bureau of Immigration office. ".
Does anyone have experience as to whether the extension is a seamless process? Can it be done immediately upon landing or only near the end of the 30-day period? Or is it preferable to just secure a visa ahead of time?
At WestCoast1: This is why I'm dipping in my toes slowly: 4, 6, 8, 10 weeks per year. You learn what works for you as you go along. Currently my long-term plan (realizable in perhaps 10-15 years) will involve living (and working) in my northern European home country during the summer half of the year and then having debauched slow travel fun in the Philippines for the winter half. This will be funded by investments so I don't have to exercise my non-existent business / hustle muscle. She makes a good point about cost of living increases. A buddy just visited Japan and said that you can have a perfectly good simple meal for <500 JPY (= 3. 16 USD). Suddenly Makati food prices don't seem so cheap anymore.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOcZXhN3xvk&t=539s
* Don't come here thinking you will get a filipines job or start a business.
Some great points Westie. I've been offered a few business opportunities (mainly hotels or bars) and after speaking to a Canadian hotel owner, he just said "Don't even contemplate it". He's cashed up at home and uses his hotel as a vacation option to escape the Canadian winter, have a good time and to help out some lovely local girls by giving them employment. He's elderly and he's running at a loss in the PH. His biggest hurdle is battling with the local authorities as they're always after him for money and are quite corrupt (His words).
If you want to retire in the PH. Do your homework before thinking of girls on tap. For one, they're not as inexpensive as they once were. The major one that most oversee is the quality of health care compared to your home country. If you were having a heart attack in a place like Sabang and needed urgent treatment, good luck getting an ambulance and a decent hospital to go to _ Phil.

Does anyone have experience as to whether the extension is a seamless process? Can it be done immediately upon landing or only near the end of the 30-day period? Or is it preferable to just secure a visa ahead of time?I have done both, and both processes are fairly easy. The advance visa is applied for thru your nearest Phils embassy in your country. There is a form to fill out, a fee to pay, and I think you might need to provide a reason for your needed return to your country (verify a property that you own, or a biz that you own, show a bank account, or show your paystub info), and of course send your passport. I used to mail mine to the Phils embassy about 10 days before my departure. Once they had it, the embassy usually processed it the next biz day and sent the PP back to me with the visa stamped on to one of the empty PP pages.
The extension process is pretty easy, we have spoken of this in the past. Walk in to any BI office (Intramuros is the main office; there is another at the Makati Circuit Mall, floor 5) and file an extension form before day 29 of your stay. Pay the fee (about p2800 or such), drop off your PP for an hour, and pick it up with your new 59-day extension. There is a slightly different payment of p1000 less, where you leave your PP at the BI office and return to pick it up 3 days later. An alternate method of doing this is to utilize a fixer, who will pick up your PP in the morning, process it for you at the BI office, and return the PP and extension to you the same afternoon (for a fee).
Regardless of which of these you do, I think you still need to have an outbound flight itinerary to show upon your arrival.
I have done both, and both processes are fairly easy. While extending to 59 days locally is easy, punters should remember that first they need to get into the country. Where I am, airlines will not let you on the plane if you don't have a valid visa for your entire stay. That's regardless of how sure you are that you will be able to get an extension upon arrival.
For the record, you cannot get your extension at the airport immediately upon arrival. You will only get 30 days when you step off the plane at NAIA. Yes, I have tried before.

That's regardless of how sure you are that you will be able to get an extension upon arrival.Good point. Same where I live. If you have pre-obtained a 60-day entry from an embassy, it will be pasted into your PP. The check-in agent will ask to see it if you have a Phils outbound / departure airline ticket that is beyond your 30 day arrival. If you don't have the 60-day visa, you risk not being on-boarded. Telling the check-in agent "I will just extend when I get there" might not work.
I find that it depends on the busy-ness level of the check-in agents. When I was a tourist, sometimes the airline agent completely forgot to ask for the outbound ticket when they should have (as did inbound Phils Immigration agents).
For the record, you cannot get your extension at the airport immediately upon arrival. You will only get 30 days when you step off the plane at NAIA. Yes, I have tried before. To extend, you must wait until the 7-day period before your 30 days commences (days 23-30). I have waltzed into the Intramuros BI previously, once on day 20, to be told to come back in 3 days or after. The second time, stupid me, I walked in on day 22 and attempted to extend. I thought it was day 23. Both times I was told to come back. I think the same applies for all extensions.

All countries are different and thankfully in Australia we have free, top quality health care as part of the taxes we pay. If I did die in an ambulance, at least I would be in one, and not waiting hours for one and a decent hospital at the end of the journey.
I've worked with numerous guys over the years who have decided to re-locate to the Phils only to return home when their health issues turned to shit, to get decent treatment and for free. I think it's just an issue that guys need to consider before deciding to relocate.
Sure, when we're having the time of our life, rooting fit, younger PH girls, health issues are the last thing on you're mind. But when it all turns to shit, where's the best place to get help?
It's just an issue that's often overlooked during the pursuit of wonderful Filipina pussy. Phil.

News story from yesterday's Philippine Star, titled: Philippines ranks at the bottom of new PISA test on creative thinking.
Fairly brutal check on public education in comparison ranking.
https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2024/06/19/2364001/philippines-ranks-bottom-new-pisa-test-creative-thinking?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2euXGRmt2mQTEfkhIt_9mruS9mrKf-nmOgssyEMOF598X9d84rSKX19J0_aem_ZmFrZWR1bW15MTZieXRlcw
Snippets from the article:
MANILA, Philippines Filipino students have one of the weakest creative thinking skills in the world, based on a newly launched global benchmarking test.
Fifteen-year-old students in the Philippines scored 14 points on average in the newly introduced creative thinking assessment of the 2022 cycle of the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), placing the Philippines in the bottom four among 64 countries.
This marks the first time that the PISA tested students on how well they can use their imagination and creativity to generate and improve upon ideas.
Filipino students' performance placed the Philippines in the same score range as three other countries on the bottom (or countries whose scores are not statistically different from the Philippines): Albania, Uzbekistan and Morocco.
The Philippines' mean score of 14 is also well below the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) average of 33, according to the PISA results on creative thinking published late Tuesday.
Countries that landed in the top five are Singapore (with students' average score being 41), Korea (38), Canada (38), Australia (37) and New Zealand (36).
Differences in the student performance of the highest- and lowest-performing countries are stark.
For instance, only around 3% of Filipino students can match the creative thinking abilities of the average student in Singapore, based on Philstar.com's analysis of the publicly available PISA scores.
This is evidenced by the data that shows just 3.4% of Filipino students reached Level 5 proficiency in the test, while 30% of students in Singapore achieved this, the highest of any proficiency level in the developed nation. Level 5 is the second highest proficiency with scores of 41 to 48.
SNIP.
Students in the Philippines remain among the worlds weakest in math, reading and science, PISA 2022 scores published in December 2023 showed, with the Philippines' overall score showing no significant improvement from 2018, when it first joined the test. The OECD has conducted the PISA every three years since 2000. The latest cycle, which involved 81 countries, was postponed by a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The test is designed to evaluate 15-year-olds' competencies in mathematics, science and reading as this is typically the age at which most students are still enrolled in formal education. In the Philippines, around 7,000 students from 188 randomly selected schools took the test.
News story from yesterday's Philippine Star, titled: Philippines ranks at the bottom of new PISA test on creative thinking.Great read Westie. The one thing I've always respected is, despite certain poverty in a great deal of families, every school kid I see is immaculately dressed on their way to and from school. That to me is a level of pride and parents looking for a better future for their kids. And from observation, this happens in a lot of other 'poorer' countries.
Obviously the education system needs to be looked into and they need to follow other progressive countries for assistance in this respect. And other countries who are friends of the PH could assist with educational guidance.
Thanks for posting info that's not predominately geared to 'bedding' these poor kid's mothers.

other countries who are friends of the PH could assist with educational guidance. These are all good ideas, in the academic sense. But sad to say, while your western / outside ideas make logical sense, I am not sure that pinoy systems want to tolerate that. There is a strong internal drive in filipinos to not change existing systems. Upsetting the apple cart for the better is sometimes a good idea (especially if its cost-neutral or cost-effective), but it also risks upsetting the apple cart for the worst. Change is not only abhorred by systems (everywhere), but also by filipinos themselves.
...Change is not only abhorred by systems (everywhere), but also by filipinos themselves. The System has been very effective for both sides of the economic divide. The 'Haves' are provided with a docile workforce who won't upset the status quo. The 'Havenots' do not get the anguish and depression of having unrealistic expectations repeatedly quashed.
Sorry to be the eternal pessimist but the reality is that the caste system is very much alive in the PI and other Asian exdictatorships. Having drive and the ability to problem solve is a total waste and can actually be counterproductive. One needs family or business connections to get, or stay, ahead. Without these one's lot stays the same for generations. Having a good idea and drive will not lead to changing the world and flying to Mars. 😊.

Or is it preferable to just secure a visa ahead of time?
.Download the app eGovPH, that's the easiest, self explanatory way of doing it.
Hahaha hey! You're talking about my specialty!Well Westie, you do have to take your opportunities and I'm sure at the same time, providing a little extra cash for the family. Phil.

I do business in the PH and have a good understanding of the mindset and there are hurdles to cross. It's obvious to me that most 'systems' in the Philippines stem from the local government. In a lot of ways their political system can be seen to be pretty fucked up. But on the other hand, if you take a look at an old crazy orange guy going up against an even older current president in the USA later this year, you have to ask yourself the question, which place is more fucked up? Enjoy the good times. Phil.

Bring your passport, money, hotel etc details. They do the rest. The commision they earn is nore than worth your while.

Sounds right. There are travel agency 'fixers' who will pick up your documents and go to the BI office and get your extension for you and return it the same day. They typically charge p1000 for the service. You can save the p1000 by going to the BI office and doing it yourself. For example, to get the first extension yourself at a BI office would be about p2530. If you walk into the Intramuros BI office, you will see the fixers doing the job; they wear a purple vest. They often have a dedicated line where they simply drop off several customer's documents (complete with fees) bundled together with a rubber band, then sit for 20 minutes waiting for the extensions to be finished. The fixers get to skip the part of going to different windows. Once the extensions (or other documents) are complete, the fixer picks them back up at the same window and departs the building. The fixers seem to get priority treatment at the BI.
The p1000 they charge is small potatoes for travelers to have the option of not wasting time going to a government office and waiting in line. Beeway also provides other services, including door-to-door Manila-AC transportation (p3500), and generally does good work.

Sounds right....My last first extension was 3 k. That's including the same day expediting fee. It's a 30 minute process in one of the smaller provincial offices eg Battangas but I'd agree that 500 p is well worth not having to taxi across town and multiple queues in Cebu, Manila or any of the other big centers.
G.
I extended mine this week, took 45 minutes from arriving to exiting. This includes 10 minutes filling the form in. It was just over 3 k including the express service. This was in Cebu. I prefer to keep hold of my passport and do it myself.
I have just received the news from one of his two live in girl friends of a death of a mongering friend of mind in Angeles. As I am in Europe, I am not really in a position to offier practical help.
The guy was a Yank, with a son Stateside. He was renting an apartment and probably has assets of 1 million pesos max in the Philippines. Add a Yankee pension and that is about it.
The issui is this: as the girl friends are semi literates (not bar girls), lawyers are probably out of their range. I suggested they collect all relevant papers (bank books, evidence of ownerships, death cert) and contact a mutual friend, a European, to see what to do next. He was elderly and in bad health, so I doubt they were bonkng him. But thye gave up low paying jobs to look after him and now I reckon they are screwed, with no job, no nest egg and no Yankee apartment.
Any practical advice?
ps: there is no point me trying to exlain probabte, intestate, Phll AND US jurisdictions. They need soemone honest can guide them through. Lawyers are slippery eels at the best of times, but in Angeles.........
Any practical advice?Sorry to read of your friend's passing. Unfortunately, it's reasonably common for old guys to die overseas with no preplanning for what to do with the body, assets etc.
The obvious question is are the girlfriends included in the guy's will? If not, it's an uphill battle for a formal and legal solution.
Of course, if they were handling his shopping and finances as he got more infirm, then it's not unheard of for bank accounts to be drained while the legal process is taking place.
Where I'm from (non US), it can be exceedingly difficult for unnamed parties to get access to legal documents due to privacy etc legislation. Don't expect kids and family back home to come running to the rescue of grandpa's hot Pina girlfriends.
Good luck They could be ok if he had plans in place but they may be in their own on this one.

Good evening!
Just a question.
Does anyone have a good way of finding out Free Lancers on PinaLove? I've been messaging at least 100 girls now and most are looking for love or cam girls or scammers, I did weed out maybe 3 FL but after a few days of trying I would like better results.
Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the help!I've posted recently about my challenges with PL.
But any profiles with 'fun', a WA number, a TG number are mostly FL. Ones with IG details are usually looking for followers IME.
Many girls looking for serious will eventually meet for money, it may take a number of days chatting but just keep saying you only want fun and happy to help them out.
The vast majority of my messages remain unread, these girls get 100's of messages from guys in the US (I've seen girls inboxes). I think many want to hook them into sending money and not meet for real.
I agree it can be a pain going through them all but I have found 3 who visit me regularly.
I'm also having some success on tantan which is more popular than I expected.

There is an entire part of this site here http://www.internationalsexguide.nl/forum/showthread.php?2479-Chat-Rooms-amp-Pen-Pals dedicated to this. You should have posted your dumb question there. If you are in an area, eg Makati and they arrange to meet, you ask for short time and you know they are hookers. Literally, nothing could be simpler in 99% of cases. As you are most likely in the US or elsewhere, you are literally wasting their time, and ours.

I doubt there is any US legal system that would chase the girls.I spoke to my lady a few minutes, ago. She tells me her friends are "stress" and some BS abiut a third lady, maybe the landlady, moving in to take the air con etc. All small stuff pathetic but that is their life.
My initial query was prompted by them not having the requisite skill set to self help. She really confrmed that. I am not trying to insult them but they are adult children, no education, no knowledge of dealing with the system.
I suggested raiding the ATM card but the problem there I see is they would leave traces and end up being charged over it. It is really like adopting a child, often an indolent one. I am not talking about the bar girls but those in small jobs, who barely survive and, in this case, hook up with an ex Yankee soldier. Easy on the head if you are not intense but they are slow lane people with narrow life horizons. Not complaining, just saying that is how it is.
My lady friend has dreams of marrying me, wheeling me around in a chair in years to come, putting up with bs about marrying an old man, doing whatever on the side as part of her deal with me. I don't think I could hack the mosquitoes, the broken roads, the ghetto like noise, the losers, the heat, the bs in death.
These women probably thought it was an ok deal, take care of him, maybe fuck around a little, everyone happy. But everyone not happy now.
These women are nice, the salt of the earth, But salt is only a seasoning and a preservative. I like their simplicity but only as a voyeur, not as a participant in their hum drum lives.
Some years ago, I gave a 30 ish waitress an ok tip in a small eatery. She was an ex hooker, who had been living with a Yank and his big screen TV, which she promptly sold when he passed. She got the waitressing job but was no good and brought her daughrter in for free feeds. She saw me literally as a free meal ticket, which I am not.
Some guys can fit into that life. I met an English guy, who runs a little cafe wearing little more than shorts (bare top for his scrawny chest). He says moving to Phils was the best move he ever made. I couldn't take the chaos without order or a purpose

It is a shame and crime to leave this world without instructions. No funeral plans is criminal.
My stuff is listed and provided for in an orderly manner. It wasn't hard to do. Amazon has simple workbooks on what to do upon death for $20.00. No excuse for a mess.

eApparently,. The Yankee soldier boy had a house etc back Stateside. The women are high and dry and they and their several kids by several pinoy papas are now on the hunt for a new okano to milk. This is all so unsavoury and just a step above the gutter, which is the natural habitat of so many Pinoys. There are the possiiblities of regular employment (no room) but there are dramas there stopping that. You hook up with one of these and they are scared you and your money will stray. I could not stomach all that long term and I am sure I would explode with it and maybe get a knife in the gut or a bullet in the head for psising in the wrong ant hill. What a mess.
Here, we keep our social distance. There, we mix with the lower class. Ride the painted pony, end up on your butt.
I posted this during the site's upgrade. Bottom line is these woman are a social mess and it is best to be carefu l;est they pull usdown with them. Their lives, their mini dramas

People here joke about making babies. But they do that on purpose with good looking Indians or whoever thye think wil give them a cute baby. No planning that the baby will grow up uneduicated and a ladyboy. The gap between them and us is so big, like it was in Europe between rich and poor 200 years ago.
There is just such a gap in world views and experience. A huge red flag to me.

I will include in both the my requests for disposal of my body. As well as a full listing of all bank accounts in both places.
This just moved it to the top of my to do list. I will advise all of the will process here when I am done.

Well, what a difference a day makes. Or a few months. Have flown around the islands here several times this (and last) year. One-way fares have been stiffer since covid. Typical OW fare from most any off-Luzon province to MNL has been, for me, p4 k to P9 k, depending holidays and such. Gone so far in the past year have been those wonderful p2200 promo fares. Until now. Received recently the annual CP email announcing the annual (or semi-) promo fares. OW prices drop over the next 2 months from p12 K to p1 K to as little as p288. Obviously that does not include fees, taxes and such. Pictured are OW examples from two southern provinces to MNL.
Sale period: July 15 - 31.
Travel period: July 15 - December 31.

Assuming it must be as I've signed up and travelled as a frequent flier for both. Also getting their posts on Instagram and Facebook showing up almost daily.
Generally when PA offer a cheap deal on an international flight, it's been almost impossible to find when you follow the links and search for it.
With domestic flights within the Phils I've noticed the prices have risen somewhat. I took a flight earlier this year from Cebu to Manila with CP and the plane was absolutely packed with people. The plane was unmarked and the safety card in the seat pocket was written in what appeared to be Russian? Turns out they were leasing planes from Bulgaria Air.
Having said that, I have booked a work trip in March next year at the cheapest price I've ever seen via PA. The only thing I pay extra for with PA is a preferred seat for an international flight. With CP all those add-ONS and taxes don't make the end price as attractive as they start out to be.
I've found a lot depends on your preferred day of travel. A departure date either side can save you heaps.
I'm sure you're aware of this Westie, but for the benefit of others _ Phil.
Thanks WC. I wasn't aware of the seat sale. I'm in need of boooking a round trip for one of my FNF girl.

Hey guys. This seems to be the most active thread. So I'm here to report and seeking some info:
This is my second time in CC, the first time felt like a complete outsider.
I'm traveling solo, met some cool local pinoys in Siargao who helped me cover the way the locals party on islands and in city life.
Obviously they are aided 100% because they speak the language. There is a huge P4 P in the local community the pros here already know that. The locals use apps too and word of mouth brokers and finder fees / pyramid dating.
What I learned which obviously isn't a shock but the local p4 p rate for top level to basic level is much different then foreigner rate. It's funny because it's very possible the local I was hanging with made very good money+ maybe more than me. Many of these locals are loaded and still paying 1,000 pesos -2000 pesos for overnight 18-23 year old hotties.
So that's old news, for newbs. Cebu city is not just an online scene. Obviously can pick up at malls / etc -that's hit / miss. More 'hit' are the disco's especially if you are 40 and under or can look that age, drink / nod your head to music. Right below the water front hotel is a disco called Agwaa, pronounced like agua. Handful of workers there and normal 18-24 year old chica's that some may or may not be into P4 P. I got sexually assaulted in a good way in the club by a chubby cutie. Lap dances and make outs. Hooking up in these clubs is more hit then the mall. // clubs start about 11 pm and go to 5 am. If you haven't found a date by 2-3 .it's time to go, forgot the name of the bigger disco. It's a Korean spot but all are welcome. PM me I can get name for you / also mentioned in a recent post.
I also found a strip of lady bars / AC style clubs here. Obvious they are here some reason I didn't discover my first time. It's definitely worth a look. Now last night I had an internet date and we were looking for live music and stumbled on these bars. Since she's bisexual she was game to grab a drink in one. What was interesting was there were mostly local pinoys in the lady bar club I was in. It was the most live one with many ladies, girls doing sexy / clothed but panty pussy dances. My girl was happy to see the ass and thongs on display.
There were a few foreigners popping in; the mamassan scene.
For the pro's here: question. /. These bars are like car dealerships. / if you're a dumbass. Or appear like a newb they will quote you crazy rates.
I guaranteed the pinoy perhaps are paying a bar fee of maybe 1,000-1,500 max and then probably another 1,000-2,000 to the lady for a few hours.
Can someone tell me what to expect from mama. For the white man bat fine? In Makati's I believe they are asking like 2-3 ish and the girls expect another 3. For 1 hour. That of course is the 1st time no frequent flyer rate.
Of course I would imagine some girls can command a higher hourly rate.
Outside of the AC strip club style bars. // there was a traditional bar. No music / no sexy dance show. Just a empty bar with a line up of hot women 20-25 years old.
I was curious if that bar fine rate / and girl hourly rate is lower, same program as AC style lady dance bar.
I'm game to go back. And report my experience. Just wanted to show up with a Kelly blue book price 😂.

With domestic flights within the Phils I've noticed the prices have risen somewhat. I took a flight earlier this year from Cebu to Manila with CP and the plane was absolutely packed with people. The plane was unmarked and the safety card in the seat pocket was written in what appeared to be Russian? Turns out they were leasing planes from Bulgaria Air.I was talking about CP domestic flights. I get this email usually twice a year, around February (first half the year) and then around June / July (last half). Its either the p1 twice-annual sale, or the low base rate (few hundred P) twice-annual sale. The sale window is always 2 weeks, and the travel dates are usually going forward from the sale window several (up to 6) months. This year there was no first half announcement, and finding base fares to / from MNL domestically was p4 k+. It appears the low prices are back. A few minutes after that email arrived, another arrived announcing p1 fares from Clark (see pic). I was actively looking several times this year domestically, and didn't see anything under p4 k. Get 'them while they're hot.
PJ is correct. Sometimes I get a promo email from PAL or CP, and then checking the prices during the sale period, I can't always find the sale price on the website.

I did realize you were talking about domestic flights. Sorry, It's just that I book all of my domestic flights before a business trip from overseas every few months. I've never received the twice a year seat sales with CP but got another email from them today about some other 'deal' that doesn't suit me. Obviously if a good fare comes up, I'll snag it and generally airfares in the Phills are pretty cheap if you plan well in advance. Just my experience. Phil.

G.I think I posted another in the past 2 months or so another vlogger with similar info.
And another tidbit, I forgot to share previously. A friend stayed at La Verti Residences (Taft Ave near Buendia, Pasay) for a year during covid. I visited him there. He leased unfurnished for p18 k / month (and he shouldered the utilities, for a typical total $25 k / month at the time, he said; that's about $500/ month all in for rent / utilities, not bad in the city). I didn't ask who the owner was. I stopped at the front desk on my way out, as there was a large sign that read "We are leasing units for p18,000 per month. Inquire here". I stopped and asked about leasing. The concierge girl pulled out a stapled stack of papers. She had oodles of open places for lease. Guessing that is how he got his unit. Point is, with all the building growth spurt during covid, there are probably oodles of 'pre-owned' units on the market.

Bit of a PSA regarding condo re-sale market difficulties.
Most foreigners are old so time to sell is not on their side. Most foreigners do not have family to give it to since their own family are in their country of origin. Most foreigners lose money on property bought overseas, especially when they build a mansion in the middle of nowhere surrounded by poverty. Where you going to find a buyer?
Knew a guy who bought a condo in Pattaya. 10 years later the Russians moved into the neighborhood. He can only get half the price he paid for it now.
Blasphemer!! I was just chatting with a guy with a bridge to sell. Going cheap too.
G.Too late. I already bought it. It is in the desert so it will not get wet and last damn near forever!

12,640.95 during their visit to the country."
Of the 75 billion pesos spent by foreigners in Feb 2024: Koreans spent the most, 21 billion pesos (28%). Chinese and Americans spent 6.7 billion pesos (9%) each, then everyone else.

These are 'shorts' or 'reels' on FB. In this short vid, he explains why the majority of condo units are not lived in or occupied. Basically the owners consider the units as an investment (not as a place to live). They refuse to sell it at a loss or below market value, "creating a bubble that never pops". Some rich Korean buys, say, 8 units. When they don't rent, or rent poorly, he's not going to sell them even as their value drops.

And another, where he compares condo ownership in nine asian cities. His comparison is as such. He looks at how many years it would take to buy a typical 1-br unit in each city, based on average annual salary. "More male visitors traveled to the Philippines with a 54.19% share, while female visitors comprised 45.81% out of the total".There are many foreign guys visiting their Filipina GFs or wives. I doubt there are any foreigner women visiting their Filipino BFs or husbands.
I have seen many YouTube foreigner guys but no foreigner women YouTube videos.
My Korean friend is a president of some construction company and brings the same 2 employees and sometimes clients on his visits. I doubt foreign women are bringing business clients to the Philippines and sitting at the beach with them or brought them for shopping. Most richer foreign women will not like the uncleanliness in PH.
I have traveled to other islands and see a foreigner guy almost daily but no foreigner women. Many guys doing scuba diving, but few women.
So the only thing I can see bringing foreign women to PH is the beaches.
Many of us come halfway around the world for sexy Filipinas. I doubt Western women are coming this far for the beaches. So this leaves the Asian women as majority of the visitors. I find the percentage really hard to believe. I would expect more of a 33 to 66% split.
Any theories of how there could such a high percentage of foreign women visiting PH?
Any theories of how there could such a high percentage of foreign women visiting PH?Hi L. I. H. 69.
On my flight's it would be a 50/50 split. Sure, a lot of the women are returning home to visit family but many have become foreign citizens of their adopted countries and have lived abroad for years. Additionally, I've seen so many European couples and foreign female friends visiting places like Moalboal, Boracay and many of the islands on vacation. Places like those generally attract a 50/50 split.
Sabang is probably the only diving spot where I've seen a really large proportion of men compared to women, and those visitors are predominately Korean who are there for a combination of looking at fish and girly bars.
I travel a lot for business before pleasure and the foreigners I meet in the business circles would be a 60/40 split with more women filling roles that were historically male dominated.
If your were to only visit Mango Ave, Makati and / or Angeles on a trip to the Phils, it would be right to assume 90% of foreigners would be men. Although significant, the sex tourism market is only a small part of the overall foreign visitor picture.
Just my experience. Phil.
Hi guys,
Although not girly related, I was just wondering if anyone knows of a good optometrist they could recommend in Angeles?
I have seen quite a few in SM City, but they're a bit pricey. Any local recommendations would be appreciated.
(And yes, my glasses are only for reading and not for determining if it's a ladyboy or not).
Cheers. Phil.

Hi all,
I plan on visiting the Philippines soon. I live in Tokyo, though I'm from the US. My best friend is Filipino (from Cavite) and said I'd have a great time there, even more than in Japan. He suggested to me that I should definitely not go to Manila, rather to "go south. " Started rambling on about how Manila is dangerous and grimy, and how the girls would like me more if I, again "went south. " I suppose I could go to Cebu or something. Do you guys agree with this?
I particularly do like the "grimy" nightlife in Japan and spend a good deal of time in underground bars. It can be quite dangerous, so I think I'm comfortable with it. That being said, we are talking about Japan which is safe even in its most sketchy places.
My goals are basically to hang out with a lot of girls and sing karaoke.

I just got back from Mindanao, and it was really safe there. I was in Gensan and areas around there. It was overall much cleaner and smelled better than Manila. Less noisy. And the girls are thinner and bigger boobs. For a Filipina. I also spent time in South Luzon. It was nice there, though not as clean. Standard Filipina girls there. Skinny and small boobs. Just my $0. 02.

Almost all of my AC gogo girls who were from Mindanao were from these 2 areas: Northeast Mindanao, and the southern area of General Santos. Leyte and Samar islands were the other 2 hotspot islands represented in AC gogos. Brown Sugar, Body Shop, Geckos, Tropix, Atlantis and so on were filled with such skinny beauties. One of the things I liked about them at the time was their unsophisticated and unworldly simpleness. It became a reason for me to plan a trip thru the region; not necessarily to get laid, but to see what the % of hotties are in the area, as a possible retirement area. Goferring has described such small-town cuties (compound girls) here. The place was, and still is, littered with such girls. However they are not for mongering (more for dating).

I have only been to Thailand twice so far. Pattaya and Bangkok and want a change. Want to see the Philippines.
I plan to be in the Philippines for 26 nights. From April 12 to May 9. I was thinking about 4 nights in Angeles (according to the internet there is nothing much there except girls). Manilla (7 nights), El Nido - 3 nights, Borracay - 3 nights and Cebu - 9 nights. Is that ok in your opinion or would you do it differently? Primarily I want to go for the girls, but I also want to have some nice pictures for instagram.

Goferring has described such small-town cuties (compound girls) here. The place was, and still is, littered with such girls. However they are not for mongering (more for dating).Close! A Pharmacist from Surigao, a pig farmer / owner from Marawi, a stewardess from Iligan, a student from Davao and two sisters from San Francisco in the east, one in the real estate business (in 2022), the other nail / hair dresser (in 2023). All were 9-10's, when you have time, and you're not desperate to find somebody to sleep with, then you can set your standards high and follow thru. My problem is that I get bored after a month with somebody, and most of them don't understand that bringing a girlfriend over from time to time is not a threat for them, but a plus that will elevate them in my eyes, and keep the relationship interesting. I did 3 somes with all of them with no exception, some where realy into it, some didn't seem very interested for repeats, but they all enjoyed it at the time. The pharmacist really liked to do it to the others, and the hairdresser was absolutely crazy about having both ends plugged, regardless at which end I was, her unfulfilled fantasy was to be with 2 guys, but I couldn't make that come true for her, because I'm not comfortable having another naked guy close to me, I tried that once in Brazil 20 years ago, with a friend of mine and 3 chicks, and we ended up in separate rooms after 30 seconds.
I still keep in touch with all of them, except the realtor, she never wanted to talk to me after I got involved with her sister.
Also is worth mentioning another 2 unusual girls from the same province, a kick boxer that I've been with for almost a month and I couldn't convince her to have a 3 some, but she had some amazing involuntary kekel maneuvers, she was taller than me, and could overpower me real easy in bed fights. Not skinny but she had an amazing athletic body. I met her in Bolinao, and after some traveling around we ended up in Angeles City, where I always bring them for the introduction to 3 somes, if not available someplace else, and this one decided to stay and have a carrier change as a bar girl. I met her few years later and she told me that it didn't really worked out for her because nobody will barfine her because she is tall, and with high heels, looked like a trans.
The other unusual one used to be a Victoria's Secret model 10 years ago, now a sales girl at the mall with 2 kids. Killer body with a pretty face when happy and smiling, but with the tits sagging a bit.
I know her for many years she is a nympho in bed, and she is willing to try a 3 some, but we never got that far because always when we went out to the bars hunting, she got drunk to easy and started talking about her kids killing the mood. From her I know that VS don't pay almost nothing to the models, and actually you need money to be able to do it, if you're not a top model, but they all hope to be noticed by some millionaire, and end up marrying one.
Close! All were 9-10's, when you have time, and you're not desperate to find somebody to sleep with, then you can set your standards high and follow thru...Referring to my original post, I find Davao girls particularly ugly and foul tempered. They should be avoided at all costs. 😉.
Years ago, but I knew a mama in Sabang who had three houses of Mindanao girls. All Davaoenas so that was her main recruiting ground. Mama was about 4'6", 300 lbs and hideous but her entourage certainly made up the lost ground. They were the ones who showed me the technical difficulties of sleeping with 4+ girls in one bed. Any more and one will be sleeping east-weat at the foot of the bed, then extras get evicted to the floor.
If chatting online, one has to remember that "Davao" can refer to the City or numerous Provinces so define exactly where she lives before wasting too much time.
I'd agree that it's not a point and shoot exercise. Having time in town certainly does deliver benefits.
Not Mindanao, but in Cebu, I also latched onto a UFC champ. Well, a brown belt in Karate or TaiKwanDo, I forget, but the details are unimportant. She was the same: flexible enough to win any game of naked twister and the stamina of a marathon runner. Definitely something every man should try at least once.
Enjoy. G.

Primarily I want to go for the girls, but I also want to have some nice pictures for instagram.Hi Mate, The Phils can be amazing when it comes to girls and it looks like you've got a bit of time to do your research. Yes, Angeles is a shithole and the same goes for Manila and Cebu City. But they're all places to score pussy. Boracay is where you want to go for your Insta pics. There's no girly bar scene there, but all you have to do is walk past the nightclubs at Station 2 and there will be plenty of freelancers to choose from. Can't comment on El Nido as I'm yet to go there.
I travel to the Phils regularly for work and meet up with my city girl contacts on a regular basis and then have some time out on an island somewhere. When you visit an island that is not typically a girly scene destination, all you have to do is ask the locals or the hotel staff to find you a 'pretty girl' and something's bound to show up for some $$.
From your intended itinerary, it just seems like you'll be spending or wasting travel time getting to the nicer areas for only a handful of days in each.
Sabang's another option and fairly close to Manila via road and fastcat, but unless you're into diving, there's not much to do through the day before waiting for the girly bars to open at night and then you have to be quick before all the Koreans grab the talent in advance. The freelancers there are a bit dodgy and I've heard stories of a lot of guys getting ripped off especially when they agree to a tag team of two girls.
Just my experience. Phil.

Has anyone had successes Or issues with Booking a freelancer off Twitter or other social media? There's a lot of alter accounts on Twitter That are offering services. Some could be scams or catfish, but some seem legit. I'the appreciate you guys sharing any info about this because I feel like it could be a lot more efficient during my travels.
From your intended itinerary, it just seems like you'll be spending or wasting travel time getting to the nicer areas for only a handful of days in each.
Something that a first time visitor should be aware of is that the Philippines doesn't have many direct flights between tourist centres. Most use a hub and spoke model passing though Manila, Cebu or Angeles. In practice, this means that a trip between two cities that are close on a map can be an all day affair of flights and connections. Hence, a planned 3 or 4 day visit can become only 24/36 hours of free time in town.
Previously I planned on visiting numerous places per visit. Now I've cut that number right down or I allow a lot more time.
Enjoy, G.
Your comments are spot on. My business partner from Singapore owns 13 units in Cebu Business Park. Only 3 are used / occupied. Rest are speculative investment. He only dumped his Mandini Bay pre sale units as that project is now in year 10 of construction and only 1 tower is up. I once owned a unit in Greenbelt 4. Took me almost two years to sell as everyone wanted me to sell at inflated prices. I eventually sold direct to another expat at what I'll call market price. With so much inventory I feel the condo market is a bubble but I also don't think it will burst for a while as most seem to be held by large Asian companies or super wealthy investors who will just sit on them until they have a forced reason to sell. Look at some of these big projects in China that are empty. That may eventually happen in PH and in some places already feels a bit that way. While I live in a house about 30 minutes north of Cebu City I'm currently using one of my partners condos this week and I can honestly say I think this building is only about 20 percent occupied at most.
Another video from the same chap regarding condos in Phils. These are 'shorts' or 'reels' on FB. In this short vid, he explains why the majority of condo units are not lived in or occupied. Some rich Korean buys, say, 8 units. When they don't rent, or rent poorly, he's not going to sell them even as their value drops.

His name is John Dang on FB, and here are his 'reels':
https://www.facebook.com/johndang90/reels/
And another, where he compares condo ownership in nine asian cities. His comparison is as such. He looks at how many years it would take to buy a typical 1-br unit in each city, based on average annual salary. Among them: Singapore and Japan 22 years, Korea and Thailand 25, HK 33, Indonesia 37, and Phils 42 years.

Enjoy, G.The best way, is not to make detailed plans and bookings in advance, just figure it out when you're there. The prices are about the same for airfare and hotels if you book 1 month or 3 days in advance, unless there is a major holyday around the corner.

Another post from Filipina Pea:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noh7gtJGpZ8
The vid is about pinay fears, and deals with multiple issues. Here is an excerpt:
"A cultural situation. You have to understand what it means to grow up as a filipina. With your friends, family, parents and the church all telling you that your primary goal is to marry and reproduce, the mantra of: "Married With Children / Married with Children" is enough to give Al Bundy a migraine. But its pounded into our heads since birth, and becomes a bedrock of a filipina's identity. It also explains why so many of us filipinas have quite a past when you meet us, even at a young age. What is difficult for some foreigners to understand is that despite how slow everything else is here, the lifecycle of the filipina is sped up to such a degree, that if we reach the age of 30 without having a husband and at least one child, we're considered past our expiration date by society. We even get labeled as 'left-overs' if we find ourselves in that position.
SNIP.
You imagine that filipina you've been chatting with has been spending her time kneeling in church, but when you meet her it becomes obvious that she's been kneeling in other places as well".
Wondering. Is this the reason that many of us return to Pinay, even as they are less physically attractive than Indo or Thai ladies? Many of my long-time regulars are sex fiends, effing with wild abandon. Some are just very sexual, but many have admitted over the years, thru pillow talk, that they were trying hard to get preggers at the time. Also is this the reason so many pinay prefer not to engage with birth control?

Also is this the reason so many pinay prefer not to engage with birth control?I think, while it has a lot of truth to it, I think it oversimplifies the issues. In western countries, wealthier families send their girls to college. Most of them finish before having children. It is the same in the Philippines. In both places, it is the impoverished that, in general, are more promiscuous and pop out kids at younger ages. It is either a ticket out of where they are or something to do that gives life meaning.
I also think that religion and upbringing do play a large role. Babies are blessings. If a Filipina can see a future with yiu, they will almost always want a baby. It's happened to me twice with non-pros. And it is something we wanted.
I have been with other Filipinas (pros and semi-pros), and condom use is almost non-existent. One escort absolutely required it. The other wanted one, but when I didn't have one, wanted me to creampie her. A freelancer hated condoms and wanted me to creampie her every time (but I used condoms anyway all but one time hahaha). She was on pills. I asked her why she wanted that, and she said she just loves how it feels when a man puts a lot of cum inside (and I usually have high volume). She hopped on before I could put on a condom one time and tried to take it off two other times while we were fucking.
Look at some of these big projects in China that are empty. That may eventually happen in PH and in some places already feels a bit that way. While I live in a house about 30 minutes north of Cebu City I'm currently using one of my partners condos this week and I can honestly say I think this building is only about 20 percent occupied at most.Hi CJ,
Great info. In my home town at the Gold Coast in Australia there has been multiple building issues with Chinese developers. It took them years to build a major development and now it's finally completed, they won't sell apartments until a certain section has sold. They must be paying a fortune on council rates and taxes on their unoccupied real estate. Another developer has been sitting on a huge vacant lot on our foreshore which is just plain ugly for a major, beach / tourist destination.
My question is, from a Phills perspective, how do do foreigners go about buying real estate in The Philippines? Not that I want to right now, but I always assumed it was like many other Asian countries where a foreigner could only 'own' 49% or less in a property or land. If that's the case, I've heard a lot of stories of people losing everything having a majority owner involved. A girl I went to school with ended up fairly wealthy and did a property deal in Bali and lost everything. She's now 55 and living with Mum / Mom because she didn't have equal ownership.
Regards,
Phil.

Quite indicative of many filipinas desire for CIP, or at least their willingness to let the guy decide*.
* The video posted was in regard to pinay fears and insecurities. One reason they often say "Its up to you" (bahala ka) regarding almost everything you ask her about, is submissiveness. Just as she would have trouble being involved in deciding where to go out to dinner tonight, she would be just as shy to tell you her desire for a condom or not. Keeping her mouth shut avoids controversy, but it risks here putting herself into a dangerous situation (pregnancy, disease). A risk her culture tells her to take in order to keep the peace now.

1/. Send a bucket of money to your GF / wife and she buys / builds what you want in her name and formal ownership.
2/. Pay a lawyer or similar to be a nominee owner and sign contracts / mortgages to retain control.
3/. Build a structure on leasehold land.
4/. Own and control a company which buys the asset.
5/. Buy a condo.
6/. Decide it's all too hard and just rent what you want.
1 thru 3 are full of horror stories where a partner disappears with the cash or kicks the guy out 8. 7 seconds after the building is completed. 4&5 have their own headaches. 6 is so much easier.
Enjoy. G.

As mentioned previously, I have no interest for the above reasons you mention.
I know a Canadian guy who owns a great little eight room hotel on Bantayan Island on the northern tip of Cebu. One of the best places I've stayed in The Phills. Now, the guy's really cashed up and this is basically his winter escape. But the stories he's told me of dealing with dodgy local authorities are mind blowing, but expected.
My idea of owning a hand / blow job bar way back when I first visited The Phills just won't happen. Too much research over time has made it obvious buying property or looking at business interests in The Phills is really risky. And then there's the 'corruption' issue to deal with. Phil.

First item, another recent Cebu Pacific promo. P1 flights out of Davao. See pic #1.
Second item, YT vlogger "Life Beyond the Sea", with a tale of being interrogated at his local BI office recently in order to get his visa extension. See pics.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqC1yMmDEMw
During the extension, among other things he was asked: "Where do you live?" he had to draw a map on the application form. "I see you are married. Why haven't you applied for your 13 a visa (permanent resident / spousal)?" Normally I'd find those things intrusive. However there is a BI directive starting this year to interrogate (see pic #2).
In addition, at 7:30 in the vid, the vlogger explains that the BI no longer issues a stamp in your PP, but simply hands you a receipt, which they clip inside your PP. I think this is old hat operating procedure, in place for at least 5 years, that we are all aware of. He makes a good point: You should make sure that you don't lose that receipt, as its your proof of extension.
Also, after 1 year of in-country extensions, you might have to explain to the BI extension officer why you have *not* left the country (see last 2 pics).

The one huge advantage of the Philippines has always been the ease of long term stays. If that ceases or becomes a PITA, then expect a mass exodus and it to become far less attractive for new guys looking to move overseas.

Phil. It's not all doom and gloom. There certainly are guys who have successfully bought houses and / or businesses. As you've pointed out, the success factors seem to be having a healthy cashflow to work out any issues, a reasonably smart head in their shoulders and experience in country. Just arriving with the intention of buying an asset right away, sitting back and living happily ever after rarely succeeds long term. Make that business a bar and the odds drop considerably.

Filipina Pea from this morning. Continued discussion of tourist visa extension applications. She interviews a BI guy. Applicant interview required (finding out if you are involved in a biz, apparently), your address / location required (possibly you draw a map of your home location). Might be smart to bring a copy of your rental / lease contract (10:10 in the vid). Telling the BI officer extension officer that you are just here to watch the sunsets might not be enough (8:20 in the vid).

Wow. The one huge advantage of the Philippines has always been the ease of long term stays. If that ceases or becomes a PITA, then expect a mass exodus and it to become far less attractive for new guys looking to move overseas.Speaking of. Right away, a few days ago when I saw several of these YT vloggers discussing the new 'interview' process, something dawned on me: The BI will be pushing all 'long-term tourists' (my slang for touristos who stay forever by extending up to 3 years, departing the country for a few days, then return to start another 3-year schtick) to either become a permanent resident (13-a or SRRV) -- or get out.
While I don't disagree with this idea from the host country, it would be better to announce this kind of thing in advance. It might have been smarter for them to reduce the 3-year stay to 1 year, then force the guy to become a permanent resident. Thinking about it from the host country's standpoint, allowing tourists to stay (virtually) forever might not be that smart. Instead of having such a consistent policy, it will now bear upon the applicant (after 1 year of extensions) to justify his existence in the country. That might be difficult to do, as there is no clear-cut policy to define such reasons for you to stay. Lazy tourist who just likes to stay here because its cheap? You are at the mercy of whichever officer in Intramuros reads your reasons this day. Have a live-in GF / partner here, but haven't married her? Same. Have a business here, but no license? All the more reason to throw you out. Been island hopping for a year, burning thru the poon? No solid residence would be an indication of a need to run from Immigration; goodbye. What happens if the interviewer asks you for proof of income? Can you do that? And if you can, but the income is less than required for an SRRV minimum ($800 USD / month I think), why would they give you an extension? AND SO ON.
Related YT vlogger video yesterday, Rob's Coffee Shop. Never seen the chap before, but he discusses just this topic, including vloggers (6:20 in the vid). It would appear that the government has finally linked all its computers together, and you can do the first year's extensions online. And apparently even vloggers have to get a work visa, and if they monetize more than $1000 USD, they must pay taxes here. If you go back to the Filipina Pea vid where she interviews the BI guy, she literally asks if such tourists can stay just because they like the sunsets here, and the BI guy says: "I would ask: Apart from that, what else are you doing here?

How would a Philippine Air flight in business class compare to a United Airlines Polaris business class flight coming from SF?
Would everything be pretty much comparable esp. A comfy lie-flat seat, a newish jet, good & varied food & drink or should I stick.
With the US carrier? I can save $300 flying Phil. Air but is it worth it?

The PAL plane did not have the updated Bus class seating. (not lay flat) It was OK but not as good as United's true lay flat and I slept 5 or 6 hours. I have heard a rumor that PAL has been updating their Bus class so you might get a good one. You could try contacting a PAL office in LA or SF and maybe find out what they are flying now. (FYI, PAL customer service is awful). In my opinion the food was a little better on United. My favorite Business carrier between the three is Starlux thru Taiwan but it's hard to beat the nonstop flight. Last thought, If you care about Air miles the United Star Alliance program is much better than PAL's.

I always take PAL LAX to Manila direct, in the back with the peasants. Seems nice enough for me. Pro tip. I take the nighttime flight, get the window seat, lean my seat back, smash my pillow up against the window, put in ear plugs, take 2 ambien, and time travel 7 hours into the future. Don't even have to pay extra.

Ten days since a post here in the Gen Info thread; a bit slow.
http://www.internationalsexguide.nl/forum/showthread.php?1001-General-Info&p=2930138&viewfull=1#post2930138
A month ago I posted regarding big brother looking over your shoulder (with a confirmation from member MontanaM's experience in China). I don't think I mentioned Microsoft Recall*, but I should have. A couple links below regarding Recall and what it is and does. It was either already on your Windows machine, or would have been in an upcoming update. Briefly stated, it does the following: It quietly makes a screen-capture every few seconds, and saves the image in a folder on your local Windows drive. Every website, opened app, spreadsheet, photo / video editing session, skype call, etc. It also makes a guess as to what you were doing at the moment and saves that (by keylogging, URL's, and your mouse clicks, I'd guess). Then, later, when you want to bring up something you were working on previously (say, last week), and you didn't bookmark the web page, or you were working on something non-internet related (a spreadsheet, video-editing, etc), you can just type in the Windows Search box in English anything similar to what you were doing at the time, and Recall will bring up said (or similar) images, spreadsheets, app or YT vids that you were watching, and web pages that you were browsing (see pics). Supposedly a good thing for you.
* Also for reference, search / google 'MS Copilot' (or copilotpluspcs).
Privacy buffs were quick to point out Recall's dangers (do your own research here). Some of the dangers: 1) It uses up your hard drive space; and 2) It stores things on your drive that you might not want stored; and 3) There is a chance that said saved Recall materials on your hard drive might be auto-synced to the user's cloud account; or 4) Worse, said materials might be sent to the CPU / NPU** chip maker; or 5) Worse, said materials might be sent to a government entity (alphabet soup). One of these links is from a few weeks ago from MS, and one from Forbes:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/retrace-your-steps-with-recall-aa03f8a0-a78b-4b3e-b0a1-2eb8ac48701c
https://www.forbes.com/sites/zakdoffman/2024/08/06/microsoft-warning-for-14-billion-windows-10-users-windows-11-free-upgrade/
Originally it was to be included in a Windows Update (24 H2), and by default it would be turned on (unknown to the user, as most Updates occur automatically from Windows). Critics complaints caused MS to change the Recall install to the default being turned off (which you can turn on or off in Settings). My understanding is that MS is now considering not installing it at all:
https://betanews.com/2024/06/11/microsoft-has-quietly-withdrawn-windows-11-24h2-after-recall-privacy-fiasco/
The NPU: https://www.techradar.com/computing/cpu/what-is-an-npu.
** Finally, discussion of the NPU (Neural Processing Unit, the newest AI CPU's). See Rob Braxman (YT security / tech vlogger): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnG66fHKRw0.
MS Recall info at 4:15 in video, and NPU information regarding AI that is being built into new CPU's (at 9:10-:15 in the video), across platforms. In conjunction with Copilot + Recall, NPU's can automatically upload your device-stored Recall data to various clouds. Examples: To the OS maker (Windows, Apple), the motherboard maker, the CPU maker, alphabet soup, etc without your consent. And possibly without the knowledge of the OS, even if you turn off Recall. Even if you have encrypted your communications with a VPN, the Recall data can still end up in the cloud unencrypted, and where alphabet soup can get at it. Never will big brother have a better look over your shoulder while you work / play on your device. It boggles the mind.
How to know if your newer system has an NPU? Open your Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Delete keys), then click Task Manager, then click Performance (left side of TM), and look for both CPU and NPU (see pic). If you don't see NPU, you don't have one. In the future, you might not have a choice.
Apparently it may also become standard on iOS and Android, and everything else. Happy hunting!

Comparing business is funny, anyone's business is better than in the back with cramped seats, no legroom crying babies and the rift raft throwing chicken bones and food. Business is around 6 k to 8 k dollars from US depending on city as I'm looking now. What's really funny I was in a GoGo last time in Manila and guy was telling me how much better it was is business. If I save $600, then that's almost $40 per hour. I'm just working for myself then. I have better things to do with that money when I am sleeping most of the time on the plane anyway.

A new Phils permanent resident visa. $75,000 USD needed. From the video:
2,401 views Aug 29,2024.
👉 For full visa details and how to apply: https://offshoreinasia.com/get-permanent-residency-in-the-philippines-with-the-fiv-investor-visa/.
The Philippines has released a new residency by investment program that gives investors permanent residency status in the Philippines. Visa holders are also eligible to apply for Philippines citizenship and a Philippines passport. The new golden visa program is administered by Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB), which is a special administrative zone just outside of Manila, Philippines.
Applicants will need to invest US $75,000 and pay an application fee. FIV visa holders will have full permanent resident rights to live, work and study anywhere in the Philippines.
And:
Applicants are required to make a fixed deposit of US$75,000 and there is no minimum net worth or proof of income required. Financial qualification is solely based on the ability to make the $75,000 bank deposit.
Another key feature of this visa is that there is no minimum stay requirement. This makes the visa an excellent option for those who want to have a solid backup plan without making a significant lifestyle commitment. Its there waiting for you whenever you want to use it.
And unfortunately, the damage is not done with just $75,000:
3 Visit Philippines for onboarding
All applicants will attend a 5-day organized trip
At the conclusion, there will be an oath-taking ceremony
You will be granted Permanent Resident status after the ceremony
There is an application processing fee of $20,000, plus $5,000 to cover expenses for the onboarding trip.
And:
One of the hidden perks of the Philippines FIV investor visa is that if you complete the entire process and obtain citizenship, you will be legally allowed to own land in the Philippines, just like any other Filipino citizen.

It will be 3 guys traveling, all vets of Latin America. I also have experience in Europe. Not trying to sell any dreams of marriage or a green card. Just want to have fun for a couple of weeks. Looking to go in April, so plenty of time for planning. Thanks in advance for your assistance!

I have booted up my play phone to find my WhatsApp has crashed and needs to be reinstalled. It opens direct to the "enter phone number" screen. I can't even access past messages, photos etc. I do, however, have a local backup on the phone.
Problem#1. The phone number used by WhatsApp has been in active for smses, calls etc for about 10 years so I can't receive a confirmation SMS from WhatsApp.
Problem#2. I can't open the existing WhatsApp to change numbers, transfer messages etc.
Does anyone know how I can restore the existing backup with out the phone number associated with the WhatsApp account?
Is there a web address that I can access / read WhatsApp messages on?
Thanks. G.
Hello fellow deviants! First time going to monger in the Philippines and I'm hoping to get some guidance. What are the pros and cons of Angeles City vs Manila vs Damaguete? It will be 3 guys traveling, all vets of Latin America. I also have experience in Europe. I think this trip would best be suited in a place where there are numerous club options for sex but also easy to pick up girls we might like just walking around town. Not trying to sell any dreams of marriage or a green card. Just want to have fun for a couple of weeks. Looking to go in April, so plenty of time for planning. Thanks in advance for your assistance!I assume you mean Dumaguete. Do not go there. It is too small for consistent action, unless you have existing contacts. Angeles city is a good option, but read up on it, as its changed a lot since I was last there. Its hard not to get laid there even with all the changes. The problem is theres nothing else to do there except eat drink and f)(Like other have already said, it's pretty much a shit hole with a lot of hookers in it. If you guys are young enough and got some game. Stay in manila. Lots of things to do and see, plenty or normals to hit on, and theres always burgos, but it will be more expensive than angeles. If you can change your destination, I would go to thailand, specifically pattaya, with a group of guys any day over Manila / Phillipines. Better infrastructure, way better food, comparably attractive women. Costs per fuck probably about the same, in the past philippines would have been cheaper, but I think its caught up.

Is there a web address that I can access / read WhatsApp messages on?It can be a sh*t-show. Twice in the last decade, WA abruptly cancelled my account, and for no stated reason. Contacting them asking why they cancelled never returned a response. In addition, I lost a SIM, changed number (new SIM), and had exactly the same problem as you. Contacting WA, they suggested that I just make a new account. I wanted access to my previous contact chats, xfer messages, etc. , but WA would only suggest that I make a new account (which I did).
Regarding web access. You can download the WA Webb app. However, when opening it, it requires that WA will already be open on your phone. You open the app on the computer, and it shows you a QR code. You open the app on your phone, then click into WA Settings on the phone to tell it you want to connect to your computer app (it will open your camera), point the phone cam at the QR code on your computer screen, and the computer app connects to your phone's account so you can use it temporarily on your computer. You must keep WA open on your phone while you use the computer WA account. ANOTHER PITA.
Best bet: Make a new WA account with your latest number, start from scratch. Its easier for WA to not deal with your problem.

I'll do some more research but it's not looking good for past messages and photos. Luckily I still have the contact list but remembering which of 97 Mary's in Cebu is a total waste of time and which is the raining BBBJ world champion might be a struggle.
Does anyone know why Craigs list is not popular here? I would think any site that offered free ads would be full here.
I went through every location and every category and many were empty, most only had one or two ads and only a few had more than 10. Category like jobs, not the sub categories.
I only saw 3 or 4 obvious ads from girls offering what we are looking for. , with only a couple other possibilities.

In this realm most of us older guys are doomed. Seek help from the younger generation that lives in that realm. Your best bet would be to go to 2-3 phone service shops. The ones that "unlock" phones. I bet one of of the guys there would know.

Just for the info of others.
Just like backing up a phone or computer, I save all my new WA contact's phone numbers and pop them on a word doc for future reference or write them down.
I just tap on the three dots up the top in a chat, choose 'view contact' and then jot down their number.
I'd be lost if I lost those phone numbers.
Just my back-up plan as I know when things turn to shit, it's so frustrating.
As for your lost messages and pics G, commiserations. I'll have an SML for you.

_ Phil.Guys,
Luckily the fix was much easier than expected: simply get another burner SIM, plug in the new number and the refresh automatically read the existing backup. The end result was all messages, photos, videos and contacts were reinstalled ie no loss of data.
Much better than I expected and I did it without the help of an eleven year old. 😜.
I was pretty concerned as is use WA for both meeting good and avoiding bad contacts. I never delete messages or contacts but just mark the psychos with an X. It's amazing the number of time girls will use different names, profiles and photos but the same contact details. The apps quickly recognise duplicates and the X let's me know not to waste any more time and just ignore her.
Thanks. G.

I know everything has gone digital, what social media apps are the best for hookups in AC now. I know about facebook and the klaw groups, personally most times I tried to meet girls online, it ends up being a huge time suck. So I always opted to go to freelance bars or nightclubs, then there is always the rail at phillys. With the high prices in AC bars, I'll just print business cards, walk into a bar and buy a girl a drink and slip her my business card, when she has a "Problem" she will call.

Lots of talk on the Manila and AC threads about Korean bars and girls prefer Koreans. Does that mean a Westernized Japanese guy like myself is out of luck at these bars same as a Caucasian guy?

The bonus I found one day on my first trip to Cebu was visiting a phone shop / shack on Mactan and a nice, pretty girl got me sorted. Within an hour there was a text message basically saying, "I'm the sales lady. Would you like to meet?
She didn't finish work until 11 pm and I knew I'd be pretty cactus by then.
I ended up 'bar-fining' her boss about 9 pm and had the best night.
Back in the days of the old flip phones, opportunities like these seemed to be better.
"If only we had social media back then" I sometimes think.
But then again, it was all creative and there just seemed to be surprises and opportunities arriving at every twist and turn on your travels in the Phils.
There just wasn't the opportunity to add them to your contact list on social media for next time as there is today.
Great times then and still good times to be had _ Phil.

I talk to a lot of girls in the bars of Angeles and Thailand. I ask them who their favorite nationality is. The consensus is the Japanese. They are the nicest, and they tip the best (overall, on the average). Not all, of course.
Oh, BTW. The consensus is that the Koreans, on the average, have the smallest dicks. Smaller than the Japanese. LOL! Actually, that's good for the Koreans. A lot of the Pinays do not like large dicks. They say it hurts. They like small dicks. That's the common answer when I ask them why they don't want to do Black guys. But that's BS. I ask them what if the Black guy shows them that they have a small dick. They don't answer that question.

Anyone interested to try some sawadi-ka.I bought 2 tickets yesterday from CRK to BKK for 1 peso each, you have to be flexible, because it's a bit tricky when you buy it. You have to change the date a few times on the price chart above the menus with the booking info, until you get to the cheapest one. The 1 p is for the airfare, then you pay the taxes and fees, it will show like 1800 p on the chart for the 1 p ticket. I ended up paying 3600 p for 2 pax. That's way cheaper than flying 1 pax to Cebu.

Just wanted to know what the norm is for Burgos and AC. Do you guys pay cash for each round of drinks or do you run tabs and pay when you leave?
For Pattaya Walking Street gogo bars I would never be worried about running a large bar tab but for places like Pasteur Street in HMC I am more cautious paying drinks per round or two on the first visit. It's more so they can see I'm paying attention.

It's more so they can see I'm paying attention. In AC, when you make your first drink order, they write it on a chit of paper and put it in a small cup on your table. Each subsequent order (for you, or a LD for a gogo girl or waitress, or the barfine amount) is written on a separate chit and placed in the cup on your table. You should be able to grab all of them and total them anytime you want. This is similar to LA Cafe in Malate.
On Burgos, they just keep track of it at the bar. Its been some time, pre-covid, since I've seen anyone unhappy with the tab that he was presented with at the end of his evening. You can pay for each drink when they bring it, if you like. On occasion when I am sure that I am having just one drink in a bar, I will ask for the bill when the waitress sits the drink down on my table, allowing me to pay for it before finishing the drink, and waltz out later anytime I like. The same goes for some regular restaurants in Phils: If I am familiar with the place and they are often slow to bring my bill at the end of my time there (Bourbon bar and Cubana Cafe on Burgos come to mind, sometimes up to 15 minutes after I ask for it), I ask for the bill the moment the food arrives at my table.
I've just arrived Manila and have noticed some changes:
Compete the eTravel process at etravel dot gov dot ph BEFORE arrival. There are three steps: log in, created account and then click the travel icon and add traveller (s) details. Don't fuck it up as completing at the airport is horrendously slow and everytime the wifi drops out, you need to restart the process.
Check-in at my departure airport needed to see my (fake) onward ticket as I was returning in more than 30 days. NAIA Immigration didn't really care until I asked when I can extent the 30 to 59 days. She then asked where I was travelling and when I was (really) returning. She didn't give me any drama but just keyed in my truthful replies. She did need a hotel name that I was staying in upon arrival.
Visa extensions are now available immediately upon arrival at the airport. No need to go to an external BI office. Clear normal immigration, go up to the 2nd floor and amongst the government offices is a BI desk. 29 day extension available in 15 minutes for 3030 peso. Keep the receipt with the new expiry date.
Getting a Grab at the kiosk is a total cluster fuck. Just download the app before departure, gets local SIM and order your own. The info in the Grab website is incorrect: the kiosk and meeting point are at Bay 4 outside not Door 4. I paid skin tax and got a 30 day unlimited SIM for 2 k. Expensive but saves fucking around later and I needed data at the airport.
Enjoy. G.

Enjoy. G.This is good information. For sure, PLEASE make sure you have the eTravel completed before you arrive in NAIA. Otherwise you will end up with those who didn't do it, trying to get signal to complete it. Just screenshot the QR code and save it in your gallery so you can have it to show (when they decide to actually check it). Same with your onward ticket. I've been asked for it 1 out of 5 times I have been there, and it was my last trip when I arrived in June before traveling on to Gensan.
As for Grab, it is a cluster fuck no matter how you go about it. I only had luck using the Grab app when I arrived at Terminal 2 flying in on PAL. For terminal 1 and Terminal 3, it is just a really long wait. I almost always default to staying at a hotel near the airport that has a free shuttle. I have my Philippines phone with globe sim that I activate on arrival and call them. 10-15 minutes later, I am on my way. I usually arrive late evening after 10, so one night there and then go somewhere else the next day, or go on to province. Whatever you do, don't take a taxi.

Hi guys, has anyone been able to get a PH phone number with an E-sim? Particularly from Smart. Many other esim only do data. I want one with a number and data, preferably before I arrive in the PH. Has anyone got an esim with number? I want to stay clear of the physical card, bc I want my home number to also work while in the Ph. Has anyone done this way? I wanted to start a Gcash account too so I can use my credit card. Plus all the apps work on PH local number, so number is a must. Has anyone been successful at getting a esim with a local PH number, to make and take calls?

For example, in both places I stay, globe is good and smart has one bar or no signal. So getting smart is useless. I would even consider getting a cheap phone there to use as a hotspot for your phone or other devices you may need. I don't have to fill my main phone with a bunch of things I never use while in the US, and I can keep gcash and everything else separate. It's just what I chose to do.

I do the eTravel thing a day before I arrive just for the sake of it. Though I don't think I've never been asked by airlines or customs if I'd done it. Possibly once checking in just after covid.

As for the slack and basically non-existent customs check when arriving in Manila by air, I mentioned it to a Filipina who works for me and she offered a good excuse.

I did not know about eTravel requirement until I was paged at the airport by Starlux airline to get it done or else I could not get on the flight. My fault. I was so used to the instant 30 day visa on arrival. Now a days it seems as if all the countries are constantly changing their requirements. Stressful doing the entry requirements and all the fake immigration sites to find the real ones.

One of the few things that really irks me is having my bin padded at the end of my stay. If it costs me a few dollars more at an unknown bar at the end of the night so be it. Better that than having a wonderful night ruined because some waitress took me for a chump and added a few drinks to my tab. Paying a small tip each round would be less than having a couple of phantom drinks added to my bill, no? How much do you guys tip if your bill is say 40 USD?
I'm not known to be a big tipper in Pattaya. There is a reason for this. If I'm a big tipper then multiple fat waitresses will push girls to drink faster. I have a hard rule girls only get 3 drinks per hour and my gogo girls all know this. However, I'm not cheap. I award waitresses (and gogo girls) who know how to do things right and will hand them some cash on the side. For me it works out way cheaper than a girl chugging down LD's left and right.

_Phil.I have lived in Manila for the past 27 years and travel in and out of the PH around 10+ times per year with my work around SE Asia and the Pacific.
The e-travel form completed 3 days or less before arrival shows up on the immigration officer's screen when you arrive at his / her desk together with the record of every previous trip that you have undertaken.
That is the reason it may seem to you that they don't "check" it. If you arrive WITHOUT having completed it, you will be sent off to do it and must join the line again. I have seen this happen time and again.
Be warned that the wifi is spotty and if it drops out mid-way through completing it you must start again. Even more reason to do it BEFORE arrival.
I have a registered account on the e-travel site so all I must do prior to arrival is submit my current trip arrival details and my address, passport number etc is auto-filled.
As an aside. Filipinos ONLY are required to complete the form for departure, but I nevertheless fill it out anyway because after 27 years I have learned to cover all bases.

Incidentally, Philippines isn't the only country requiring e-travel registration prior to arrival.
I have just entered Guam on an assignment and customs / immigration requires you to do an on-line declaration and show the officer the QR code that you receive by return email when you register.
I assume it's the same for all other US ports too.
Australia is about to introduce on-line registration instead of the paper forms. It's not a peculiar PH thing for those of you looking for ways to ridicule Philippines regulations.

I travelled a little when borders reopened after pandemic, and they used to have a line where they manually checked everyone's QR code on arrival (and vaccination card etc) before you were allowed to progress to immigration. Now there are some people stood around asking if you've done e-travel sometimes, so I presumed they'the caught out people at entrance to immigration who said they hadn't done it.
I am same as you, do it on exit also just in case. A lot less hassle to complete on app at home with good WiFi than have to complete in emergency at checkin.

Skip Duma. I live there. It's not for mongers. As the other guy said, go to Manila (LA Cafe and Burgos) and Angeles. And Subic. You will get more pussy than you can handle. So, I've heard AC is a real shithole, like Tijuana used to be. Dirty, smelly, unhappy, drug addicted working girls in the streets looking desperate, bottom of the barrel hoes. Is that about right? What about Cebu City? We are also going to Pattaya but want to visit Philippines too. Even if only to find a couple awesome working girls who clean up nice to visit some great beaches and islands. Would you recommend pipelining via Seeking, FilipinaCupid, Tinder or other such apps? Again, not so much looking for the girls who take 10 dicks a day. 5-7 dicks a week is okay though. Want the clingy GFE that knows it's just temporary!

Crack heads (actually meth heads but let's not split hairs) are mostly confined to the streets and are blatantly obvious. Quality gogo girls won't say no to some party starters but true addiction to anything hard soon sees them fired and banned for performance and reliability issues. Its the one rule where the bars do actually discipline the girls.
I've given up recommending Cebu. To me, if you have a dick and a wallet, then you are going to get laid. However, numerous guys I've said this to have comeback and complained that it took too much time to find their feet. How this can be, I have no idea but there is no pleasing some people.
How fat and ugly are you? A group of well presented guys throwing bottles around any of the high end clubs will soon attract all the right type of attention. Don't be a simp and do some sorting and you will find some gorgeous girls. No online games required. Now, if that's beyond you or you prefer just to swipe away, Seeking and Tinder can be a real midfield of scammers and false promises in Cebu. Pina and Date in Asia can be point and shoot but pretty low end. Personally, I found Cuipd just in the middle with some very attractive girls minus the attitudes.
Enjoy. G.
I was talking to a Filipina and the topic of her joining me in Bali or some other destination outside of the Philippines came up and she said she has been "Offloaded" and can't leave the country.
What exactly is this? And how do you get around it? Curious as I have thought about flying her to me when I travel in Asia in less monger-friendly areas or just want an easy no hassle holiday girlfriend! I'll be return to SEA end of this year and want to see if this may be an option.
Was thinking, if I stopped in the Philippines and accompany her would that resolve the issue?
Normally I won't consider flying anyone to me but she's cost effective considering the cost of flights around SEA is not too expensive and if I have to stop in the Philippines, it can be made part of my stopover.

Normally I won't consider flying anyone to me but she's cost effective considering the cost of flights around SEA is not too expensive and if I have to stop in the Philippines, it can be made part of my stopover.Offloading is when Immigration don't let a pina leave the country supposedly for her own protection from people smuggling, scam jobs and the like. It can also be because the Officer is having a bad hair day and decides to be a prick. If the girl is obviously broke, never travelled before and travelling alone then there is a very good chance that she won't make it through. However, it also happens to surprisingly well to do girls on occasion.
The biggest work around is for her not to fly alone. Definitely go, meet her and leave NAIA together. Give her a letter of Invitation and put a few bucks in her bank beforehand. Don't ask her to lie but prep her on potential questions and answers. She doesn't want to say she doesn't know where she is going with some guy she met in a bar last week.
Cost effectiveness is assessed case by case. Additional boat trips, parasailing and day trips soon mount up to waaay more than a local fuck. However, chilling by he beach and seeing natural highlights has little marginal cost. As you said it's not just about money. Having a known skilled provider on hand can be priceless esp of local providers are limited or simply poor performers. Unfortunately, this is common in tourist areas where girls only come across cashed up, gullible, short term guys and there is no incentive to give good service in the hope of repeat performance. Bali definitely falls into this category.
Good luck. G.

You have to be with the girl, show where you're going and what you're doing there, hotels, air tickets, and most important return tickets for the girl. Second time I did it we had no return tickets, because we were getting off in Thailand, and I didn't know how long we will stay there. I had to book flights on the spot from bkk to mnl, and email the officer the reservation. Also very important is to have pictures together taken at different times, and different locations, to prove that there is a long term relationship going on. Don't lie because they are trained in catching that. The interview is not with the pass control guys, but with a different ones with piercing eye sights, and maybe you, and the girl will be separated. Have plenty of spare time, this may take few hours. After that the girl is "veted" and she can exit alone next time. Good luck!
Question. Does BI keep a record of the offloading event? Or just no notation to the passport?Yes. Pass or fail is recorded.
Hi Guys,
I've done a lot of research on this, but everything seems to be conflicting.
I'm looking to open a bank account in The Philippines mainly for business purposes. It's cheaper for me to pay my suppliers in pesos as opposed to the universal $USD. It will also be convenient to transfer and receive some funds to and from a few girlie contacts. Yes, I've used G Cash, but it's not the ideal option for me.
I travel as a tourist even though I'm in the PH on average three times a year on business (and pleasure). The immigration process is just so much easier that way.
I've been told you have to have a resident visa, you can do it with an ACR card (only problem is I'm only there for three weeks max at a time) and I've also been told to sign up at a provisional bank branch who will be more lenient and accept 'a tip' (commission) for providing the service.
Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.

Hi Guys,
I've done a lot of research on this, but everything seems to be conflicting.
Exactly. Each bank is different. Each bank branch is different. Even the managers at the same branch are different. All will give you different answers so research does not mean much of anything. Pick the bank you want. Then pick the location you want and walk in and ask all the things you want / need. It is an open negotiation. If the manager needs to fill a quota he will bend some rules. If he likes you or does not like you he will deny or accept your business. The answer is just go in and do it. Just do not pick a Chinese bank.

I tried to open a bank account at my bank (BPI) for my philippina GF while we were visiting in AC, and they sent her home to open the account, saying that it's not possible to open it in AC. When we got home on our island, she tried there and she was denied, then about a month later while in Cebu by herself, she was able to open it in 10 minutes at the same BPI bank. We insisted on BPI, because is the only bank on our island. My GF is a univ grad and also has a small business going on, no police record, and never worked in AC, why was she denied twice, then when she just walked in the bank to kill some time boom: approved on the spot, is beyond any logic, but in line with your above mentioned reasons.
Now she's doing the driver license, it's started like a cluster fuck already, and not the nice AC kind. I gave up in trying to help, because nothing makes sense, except the traffic signs.

Feel free to chime in here of course anybody who knows what's up.
So according to the Bureau of Immigration website: (https://immigration.gov.ph/) if you're a foreign national and you want to stay more than 30 days, you have to apply for a Visa Waiver for a 29 day extension (https://immigration.gov.ph/visas/visa-waiver/). (Incidentally, the link to the list of offices where you can apply for this is broken, but more on that later).
If you want to stay for longer than that you need to "secure extensions of stay with the bureau of immigration. " Side note: the listed place to apply for this is either at the main office or a list of offices with a link that redirects to the top of the page. There's a "checklist" (https://immigration.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/IRD04.QF_.007-EXTENSION-AND-UPDATING-OF-STAY-OF-TEMPORARY-VISITORS.pdf) of documents you need to bring with you that really boils down to a single form (https://immigration.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/CGAF_IRD04.QF_.04-Rev.Lev-020_2023Jun08-1.pdf) and your passport. This form really basically just asks for your address while in the PI and for your ACR card.
The listed steps on getting this "extension of stay" are as follows:
1. Secure the CGAF from either at the Public Information and Assistance Unit (PIAU) at BI G / F Main Office or from the official BI Website.
This is the "Consolidated General Application Form" (link above).
2. Submit the completely filled-out application form and attachments together with the passport to the frontline officer.
Seems easy enough.
3. If the applicant has no derogatory records, a BI Clearance Certificate shall be issued. Otherwise, the applicant must proceed to the Verification and Certification Unit for Clearance.
What kind of time frame does this take? Do they issue you this on the spot? Can you do this online? Can you do this at say the Philippines Embassy in the USA?
4. Get the Order of Payment Slip and proceed to Cashier for payment.
Of course.
5. Pay the fees and get the Official Receipt.
Uh huh.
6. Submit the Official Receipt with the application form, attachments and passport to the receiving / assessment Officer.
This is where you turn everything in to have a cop look it over, uh huh.
7. Claim the passport stamped with the requested extension of stay.
Seems easy enough, right?
If I wanted to say spend 3 months in the PI, running around the islands scuba diving, how much of this can I get done online before I get there? Am I going to be able to fill out the form if I'm going to be bouncing around from hotel to hotel and can't receive mail reliably? Do I need to get an ACR card? How long does that shit take? If I come from a non-visa required country, can I just stay for 90 days and pay a penalty when I leave? Will that keep me from entering the country later?
Lots of questions, I know. I figure if anybody knows, it's you guys. I stayed longer than 30 days in Thailand on accident once, and I had to pay a fine. That never became an issue for re-entering the country though, but I only let it happen once.
As always, the input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Guys, what's the secret handshake to get a happy ending massage?
I've been walking around Davao, CDO et al for weeks and felt like a massage. I wouldn't say no to a happy ending but the massage was the primary focus. I found a sleezy looking hole in the wall near Peoples Park, it was pitch dark inside and had that grimy feel to it. I felt right at home. The price was 300 p per hour for an oil massage. The massage was good and strong with no wandering hands so at the end I signalled where she could continue. She just recoiled in horror explaining that it wasn't allowed. Not the end of the world but I would have enjoyed that additional relaxant. I paid a 100 p tip and left.
I'm familiar with massages in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, even Singapore, where it goes without saying that your massage is going to have a happy ending. Most cases you have to tell them not to if you don't want it.
I've had several cases in the Philippines now where this is not the case. What gives?? What am I missing?? I know you can book out the girls to fuck in the nearest short time hotel but what if you don't want a full service, just a relaxing happy ending?? Is that not a thing here?
Enjoy. G.

So I'm correct in saying that generally speaking nothing ever happens on premises? It seems very rare and the opposite of everywhere else in Asia. I can understand BBBJs and full sex but how hard can it be to organise a handdy there and then??Oh no, quite the opposite, HJs and BJs everywhere, but not in all the high end spas, unless they have private rooms, not only some dividers or curtains.
I'm a "cleanliness" freak, therefore I don't like going to shady places, none of them have white sheets, and I think that's for obvious reasons.
In the high end places, the girls don't know each other very well, and they rat each other out. In small shady places, they are like sisters, they talk, share experiences and stories, and they try to bring business to each other, they all know which is doing what: this ones are doing BJs, only this one is doing FS, etc.
One of many stories worth mentioning:
Once walking in AC I was almost pulled by the masseuses in in this small shady massage place, I had one hour or so to waste before my date, and I said why not, let's get some warming up like the boxers before the fight, I knew that in this place there were no lady boys working because a waitress from Midnight Rodeo that I BF together with a GF of mine, for the purpose of a 3 some, told me that if I need a massage her auntie is working there, she's doing a great massage, and they don't hire LBs. The very small place looked clean, only with curtains dividing the 3 beds inside, the sheets were colored, with busy floral designs on a dark theme. I got naked and I layed on my back, minimizing the chance of rubbing my dick on the bed sheet in the same spot where the guy before me did. There where 2 good looking, and 3 so and so girls, of course I picked a good looking one, she started massaging my legs, and asked if I want one more girl since they are not busy, and no costumers all day long, I had that in mind anyway, and said yes. Soon after that one came in and started massaging the other leg, a third one peeked in and asked if she can massage my arm, I said yes, and I saw where this was going. Of course the forth one popped her head from behind the curtain, and I just said: bring your other friend in, and lock the door. I said I give you all 5 K total, get topless, and do whatever you want for one hour, I don't really care about the massage part. With just a little initial hesitation, all of them one by one took their blouses and bras off, and I had in an instant 10 hands on my area of interest, with 2 pillows under my head I started watching them having a specialty conference with live demo in tagalog about different approaches and techniques in the best way of making a man come, topless with hands on. They were talking, laughing, taking turns on trying different moves on my dick and balls, probably joking, because they were also pushing each other, and touching breasts and laughing and giggling. A very memorable experience, sensual and visual.

Of course.
Thanks in advance.Nobody has anything to say?

Nobody has anything to say?Extend your visa via the app, quick and simple. (eGovPH).
Oh no, quite the opposite, HJs and BJs everywhere, but not in all the high end spas, unless they have private rooms, not only some dividers or curtains..Thanks. Sounds like what I'm familiar with. It looks like I just stumbled into the wrong one.
I usually pay $X for the massage then about the same again as a tip for the HJ. Is that also typical?

I usually pay $X for the massage then about the same again as a tip for the HJ. Is that also typical?I don't do only HJs, only if it's a part of an BJ, or something else, but I think the price is not necessarily related to the price of massage. It depends on the provider, if she is stupid and misses the opportunity for some extra cash, whatever that may be, because she's only doing it for x amount of money, or smart and just does some relaxing hand movements instead of more hard work on your back and also gets rewarded with whatever extra tip comes her way.
In Brazil, HK, and other places, everything is included in price, you don't even have to ask for it, is just part of the massage.

I've seen prices all over the place. As you mentioned many shops and area have it included in the price. I've also said nothing, has the service performed as a routine inclusion and then tipped what ever I felt was appropriate. The other extreme is places like Bali that charge 80 k for a massage but will insist on 500 k from a horny but gullible tourist.
Thanks for the clarification. I'm off to do more field research. 😜

I will give it ye old college try. You can be in-country for up to 59 days without Registering. After 59 days, when you extend your visa to stay in the country, at the BI or online, you will have to Register. (its the law). I put that 'are' in capital letters as its part of the Alien Certificate of Registration. You do not have to purchase the card, but you must Register (technically as a tourist who is not going home after vacation). I think Registering costs about p400, and if you also get the ACR card its about another p1000 (covers the cost of making and mailing of your card), and you come back later to pick up the card. I always got the ACR card with my Registration as I was never told at the BI, when extending, that I had the option of Registering and not getting the card. Around 2018, for the first time at a BI office, the BI agent asked if I wanted the card with my Registration, and explained that I didn't have to purchase the card. I purchased the card anyway, as many vendors and locals believe it to be your BI tourist ID card when you are in the country. It has some advantages. BTW they don't mail your ACR card to you. You go back and pick it up when they notify you that its at the BI nearest you. Not sure if the main BI office in Intramuros makes them on the spot when you Register. Province BI's have always said it takes up to 30 days to get it from Manila, but its usually been 2-3 weeks I go back to their office to get it when they notify me. On one occasion I didn't get the ACR card, as I was only staying in-country a few weeks after my extension renewal.
But I digress a bit. If you want to stay for 3 months, you will have to at least Register at the 59 day mark when getting your next visa extension. Assume you have stayed the first two months on either of the following methods:
1/ You got your initial 30 days on a VOA (walk-in visa), as almost everyone does. Then after 30 days, you got a 29-day extension (that's the maximum allowed on the first extension). You are now at 59 days and must extend for 2 months.
2/ You applied early, before coming to Phils, thru a Phils embassy near you, for an initial 59-day entry visa, allowing you to enter and skip that first 29-day extension above. You are now at 59 days and must extend for 2 months.
At the end of your 59 days, you must extend for 2 months. They will charge you for the extension (about p2000), and additionally for Registering, and additionally for the ACR card (unless you say you don't need the card). Once you've paid for that and got your extension, you can stay for months 3 and 4, before having to extend again for another 2 months.
Whew! #thatsalottawordsalad.
There are fees associated with being late to extend. Having laid that groundwork, are you asking if you can skip all this stuff, bounce around the islands for 90 days, and simply pay the late fees on the way out? It sounds to me like that is what you are asking. The answer is a solid MAYBE. Have missed deadlines myself (as others have also reported here), and paid the late fees once. However I got lucky. I missed paying my Exit Clearance Certificate fee after 6 months. The outbound Immigration officer caught that and took me to a small booth where another BI officer took my money and late fees for the ECC and issued it. He looked me in the eye and said something like: "Lucky. I was leaving my shift is over and I'm the only one to issue these ECC's. If your a minute later you will have to stay in Manila over the weekend and go to the BI office and get your ECC". I am saying that your idea of whisking out of the country by ignoring the extensions might not work out. If the NAIA Immigration fee collectors (not the outbound Immigration officers) are not working in the evenings or weekends, you could be stuck.
Its pretty easy to bump into the nearest BI office for your 59-day extension, or do it online as OAU says. You have to pay the normal fees anyway, no sense not doing it and paying late fees later.

G.The spa that I use in Manila has an option that is not stated in the description but is included in the price: 1000 php for a one-hour back massage with a flip-over and happy conclusion.
You don't have to ask. It is part of the deal.
I don't want to get them in trouble, so I am not mentioning where it is, but I will divulge it in a private message to respected board members.

Thanks, WestCoast. I definitely owe you a beer or three. I guess my first step should be to visit the embassy here stateside. Cheers!Normally most of us just purchased an airline ticket and flew in for the 30-day walk-in visa (Visa On Arrival, VOA). For those who want to stay longer, we went to a BI office and got the first extension, which is for 30 days. All extensions after that are 59-day extensions.
You can pre-apply for an initial 59-day visa at any Phils embassy in the US (I used the embassy in LA). Costs was about $30 USD. You email, and they email back a visa application form, and a list of other required documents for you to send them (ie, passport, airline ticket, proof of income / bank statement, etc). You send them such documents and money, they mail back your PP and approved (or denied) 59-day entry visa. Upon arrival at Phils Immigration, you show your PP and approved Visa.
LOS Angeles Consulate website: https://losangelespcg.org/.
Their email: "Please email ovas.lapcg@gmail.com for the requirements and application form".
This gets you your first 59 days in-country. To stay longer, a week prior to departure you go to any BI office (or apply online) for a 2-month extension. Cost is about p2000 ($40-ish).

He any anyone else can get the 30 day extension right at the airport on the day of arrival. Only available on the day of arrival. You cannot come back and do it days later.
Get the 29 days VOA at the normal booth after leaving the plane. Then find the BI Office in the terminal and they will extend it there and then. 3050 pesos and about 10 minutes.
G.
PS. Forgot to say you need to have pesos on hand to pay for it. ATMs nearby but peso cash is the only acceptable method of payment.
I thought about replying but you made everything too complicated when for your first visa extension it is easy.
Turn up at the immigration office with passport and 3 k. Fill in a form, pay the money, sit and wait for 45 minutes till your name is called. Go hunt some pussy in a nearby mall.
There are other ways to do it but this is my preferred method.

Do we know if that first extension in the airport is available 24/7? If the BI employees doing the extensions are 8 am-5 pm only, or not available weekends, then the gents can go to a BI office. Is also available online now, right? In addition to getting the pre-arrival 59-day visa, Those here for only a few months should not have a problem.

There is a BI office in MarQuee Mall in Angeles. Takes a few hours for an extension. Drop it over and do some shopping and have lunch. There is a fixer shop to the right just before the BI, he charges 1 k and gets it done faster and fills out all the forms for you. You don't have to wait in a line.
BI is all over in Philippines. Just search online.True and I've found the smaller offices extremely easy to deal with. Walk in, pay your money and walk out. Certainly no need for extensive forms, queues or fixers. I don't know where Kenji is going but if there isn't a BI desk at CRK airport, it would be an option.

Of course it's always also an option to get it taken care of at the consulate stateside first, which I am currently looking into. All the Philippines government websites are terribly shoddily run. There are broken links everywhere and lots of dead ends, kinda like doing business in the PI.

There's a 24 hour BI office at Clark. There's literally a complaint on google reviews that the "officers" there ripped someone off for 120 php by pretending they didn't have change. Imagine being pissed off about $2. 13 in a country that rife with corruption. I'd just consider it a "tip" and move on. What is he going to do with 120 php anyway, buy a yacht?

From Burgos, its about p120 in a taxi. That's the Pasig river along the top. Its about 2-ish blocks from the South cemetery. I like that particular office as its mostly designed for extenders, and rarely has a crowd of any kind (unlike the Intramuros BI). In fact, having been there several times, only once did I encounter another client such as myself. I also like the mall itself. Its large, open, clean, has a few decent restos, and an open-air food area good for having a coffee and watching the talent walk about.

No offense, DG, but I don't trust "fixer" shops. I'm not trying to get stuck in the PI without my passport.Don't necessarily count the fixers out. If you see them in any BI office, they are wearing a special purple jacket, indicating that they are bonded / certified to carry your PP and money around. I have chatted up two of them, one at Intramuros and one at Circuit mall. The process is simple. You contact their company. They show up at your door in the morning. You hand over your PP and tell them what you want. They fill in the form for you (its easy), and they collect from you the exact BI fee required + p1000 (their fee). They return your completed extension receipt and PP in the afternoon to you.
They have their own special lane at the BI, they get quick treatment, and it will take them about 1/3 of the time to complete your task than it will take you. You must go to several different windows: fetching the form, dropping your PP with an officer, paying your fees at a different window, returning to the officer to show your receipt, then waiting at least an hour for them to process. Then you get called to yet another window to pick up your PP and extension. The fixer simply drops off a bunch of PPs to one officer and then sits down. That officer and another separate the PPs, one counts money and issues the receipt, the other does the background check and issues the extensions. 15 minutes while the fixer sits. Then the fixer spends 5 minutes going thru each PP and extension to see if there were any problems. Then he's on his way back to customers condos / hotels to return the goods.
Now that I live here, I have plenty of time and find it easy to handle BI office tasks myself. But when I was a 2-week warrior, it was much better to spend the day perving at LA Cafe, as opposed to wading thru grunt paperwork at a BI office.

Years ago I was in Davao and passed by the small BI office. Instead of getting my extension later in Manila I turned around and went back the Davao BI. It was hot and I stopped and got a bottled water before I entered the BI. Outside was a security guard who looked very thirsty so I gave him the water. He was so happy that he walked me into the building, gave me a form to fill out and then took me to the front of line claiming I was a senior with priority. Then took me over to the cashier to pay and then had me sit and wait. 10 minutes later I had my extension was on my way. All in about 20 minutes there!

I had actually walked passed them and into the BI to do it myself. The bi personel were missing and about 20 people waiting around there. I wondered around to see where the starting point was and noticed a person walking by me holding a stack of 20 passports with a sheet of paper in between each one. I observed him going into a private office. At first I thought he was a BI personel then I realized he was a fixer. Then fixer was getting 20 passports done while there was no one helping the 20 waiting in the office.
That's when I remembered walking by the fixer and I headed back to him. After a few questions I realized the fixer had a professional relationship with the BI and could get it done faster. I highly recommend them if your time is worth 1 k.

I think it's one thing if you live in the PI and can afford to go to the embassy if a "fixer" accidentally "loses" your passport or something fishy along those lines, but if you're just bouncing around for a few months and have obligations to go to back home then you can't afford unexpected delays. I'm just wondering out aloud how much they actually are and how much assistance a 1500 peso contribution actually is.
One girl mentioned 40 k for studying a real degree in a respected university. I have no idea how long that was for. I'm assuming a year? She also pays 2200 per month for her two bed boarding room.

G.What city is she studying? In province, a boarding house is about 700-1 k per month. In Manila region, a basic boarding house is about 1. 5 k monthly plus electric and water. This is usually done per room, and with shared bathroom. Many times you will have more than one person come in and share a room.
As far as university cost, it depends if it is public or private and what major area she is studying. Public university can be free if you're in scholarship up to about 20 k yearly. Private can be significantly more expensive than public, in the range of 50-100 k yearly.
My stepdaughter is looking at universities now, so these are the current prices we have gotten.

G.Hi G, I pay my student helper's tuition basically 3500 p / month in exchange for her cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping and anything else that has a long line. She has her own room and CR. Sometimes she has other expenses but it is not very much. I trust her.

The girl I mentioned is in CDO. She did say that room costs vary wildly depending on how many beds and features included. A powered kitchen / AC makes a significant difference.

That time could be spent screwing the tits off hot girls instead; this is the PI after all.Government offices open at 7:30 am. I like to go to the BI at that time, because there is no line (except for the Intramuros BI office). For about 30 minutes, you have the run of the place. It can't get much easier. To be fair to timeframe, you have 2 choices at the BI office when extending. The first choice is to leave your PP with the BI office for 3 business days, then return to pick up the PP and extension; cost is about p2000. Second choice is to check on the application form 'Express 1-hour', which costs p1000 more, to get yours processed in 1 hour. You either return an hour later to get it, or just wait until they call your name if its completed early. When I am the only person in the office at 7:40 am, I am usually out the door by 8 am*.
OTOH, DG's example, he found the fixer by luck. In your case, the fixer can come to you on a motorcycle in the morning, and return your extension and PP to you for the exact same fee as if you walked into his office. Fixers work for / with travel agents. You contact most any travel agent in a mall and they can direct you to agents who do the 'fixer' work for you. Have any of you gents heard of an agency losing a PP?
* Caveat. Have had this odd situation happen before, once at Intramuros (covid), and once in the province. In both instances, the various BI officers handle the paperwork (intake officer, cashier, processing officer, etc), and the extension was issued with receipt and inserted in the back of my PP and set aside with the final officer. I watched it happen. It all happened in 15-20 minutes. I was the only one there. Then they waited, the last officer had it sitting on his / her desk. I walked over and looked at it, then sat down again. 45 or so minutes later: "Sir Coast? West Coast?" I walked over and they handed it to me. They made me wait the full hour. Still searching my mind why they would do that, but I was just a guest. Some small good news: If you use the Intramuros BI office, there is a Starbucks across the street.

Has anyone seen any recent school fees? I'm just wondering out aloud how much they actually are and how much assistance a 1500 peso contribution actually is.
One girl mentioned 40 k for studying a real degree in a respected university. I have no idea how long that was for. I'm assuming a year? She also pays 2200 per month for her two bed boarding room.
G.Hard to answer this. Each school has different fees. You can contact the school and ask them their fee schedules. There are also exam fees and project fees, uniforms must be purchased, and so on. Regardless of the school's semester or annual fee, these other items such as test and project fees are additional, and a p1500 contribution in the province is considerable. Its also possible that your contribution might be for bola reasons: She might not need it for what she says, and she will end up throwing a booze-filled weekend with friends or her boyfie, showing up at Monday's class with a hangover.
One of my girls in Manila has a son in private school, at p32,000 per month. Your girl's 40 k might be per semester, or per year.
The rent sounds a bit high in the province, but not out of bounds.

Just wanted to know the impact of 1500 p. It seems it would be a significant help to the month's finances espnif she's in a provincial college

G.I have first hand knowledge about this, my GF was paying 40 k / semester at the university of cebu, plus boarding, food and transportation, all that adds up, then once graduated there are all kind of accreditation exams, and board exams, and they all cost money and some require additional courses. I met her when she was graduated already, but I wanted to know all about it. Some years ago I met a pharmacy student and she was paying 38 k / semester in manila.

Its a cost of SBUX coffee every day for folks in the US. Not big. My problem with these folks are two fold (a) they never show their school invoice and (b) more importantly would never allow you to pay them online. I do sponsor some kids education in some countries. One of the girls I sponsored is from India (since I am of indian origin) -- her mom works as a domestic help to one of my aunts in India. Every semester, the girl would send me her invoice, and ask me to log into her college account to pay her fees. She would reset her password after I paid. I could see all her transcripts. She had failed in english in one of the semesters, and I asked my aunt to get her an english tuition that I paid. Would prefer if these girls show that level of transparency. Lack of such transparency, its a game these girls play to extract money in creative ways.

Government offices open at 7:30 am.
From what I've gleaned from Google Fu, it seems that most of the BI offices in the provinces open at 9. I imagine it will be similarly empty around then, just 90 minutes later.
Thanks, Westie.
Tuition runs from 32 k-52 k a semester depending upon the major and location. A tourism degree is around 32 k while a nursing degree in Cebu is 52 k. Additional costs for projects and other assignments.
Monthly living costs range from 10 k-16 k a month depending upon dorm room and transportation costs. Food costs is probably the same in each location. Some dorms cost less but are further away thereby increasing the transportation cost. Some dorms costs more but are within walking distance.

G.I had a girl recently who wanted to meet to pay fees. She is studying criminology in Manila. This is the semester fees. It does not include other ancillaries just Tuition.

So annual tuition costs plus 5 k or so for her monthly pocket money.
I got a lot of responses, unfortunately my place at the time was too far from any universities for it to work out.
However I had a lot of fun "interviewing' possible candidates. If I end up near a university, I will try it again.
Is free sex cheap sex??
Recently I have been hooking up with a girl who has a good job and her own money. She's 29, good looking, no kids so her body is still pristine and, I haven't paid for any allowances, inflated "taxi money" or fiscal "emergencies". Her only requirements are that she will not be seen going in and out of a cheap hotel for hookups with a foreigner and that I have to fit in with her work commitments. Frankly, the latter is not insignificant and organising one off dates, meals etc was a PITA. She's in my recent posts as the corporate girl.
So what has this "free" sex cost me?? I've moved out of a cheap Red Doorz to a Airbnb (+1000 p / day), I'm booking her Grab to and from work (+120 p / day). Food is a zero nett as 2000 p in groceries lasted nearly a week but she did the cooking so no restaurants or Grab Food.
The benefits?? After a lot of ground work, sex is on tap for 5 nights a week including most of the weekend that she stays here. I'm not getting any daytime infills. I was paying 2 k for two STs or one LT per day. However, this wasn't always straightforward with the usual online flakes, scammers, and misrepresentations.
I think financially, it's a wash and I'm likely breaking even. Sex-wise she's pressing all the right buttons and after a long visit I was over the nightly online dramas and scatter brained 19 year olds.
It will be interesting to see if there is a long game at play but so far so good.
Enjoy. G.

That's about right. Its not cheap, its the cost of getting some trim. If you aren't paying direct p4p, its more like dating, with the money being spent in other ways. Is it cheaper to pay her to leave? Maybe. Depends on how much of her sh*t you can put up with (and for how long).
Even with my regular gals, there are additional costs besides the rewards money. Besides fare, there are meals, nights out sometimes 'going around', and other assorted sundries. Living here can be different than regular mongering strict p4p, the lines blur.

I don't think anyone kids themselves that XLT it's cheaper to rent than buy.
I've learnt the hard way that it's much better for it to be in their own interest to behave and want you to stay vs give me the shitz until I pay them more.
Corporate girl is well aware that I'm here for a few weeks more only, not months or years, and that for me to return, this stay need to be an enjoyable experience.

Enjoy. Of course I didn't factored in the occasional 3 some or my escapades to AC.

Enjoy. G.It really depends on what you are looking for. Are you just wanting to dump your load and run, or do you want something more than that? I'm not talking about having a relationship, though it could go in that direction if you wanted it to. I think you have to factor in, too, the quality of the woman you are getting. It is nice to have a woman who can carry on a conversation and who has the skills to support themselves, whether or not you give them money or not. And, honestly, it is good to have a woman who hasn't slept with half of the men in their town.
That being said, sex is never free. You have to work for it and pay for it in one form or another.

Eg, she came home from the office for lunch. 58 p for Chow King plus a Mountain Dew. Contrast that to I don't know how many huge meals I've bought when eating with the daily catch off the internet. She wants to save money. Others want to impress by spending mine.

Cheers. G.Mine has a business with 3 employees and few side gigs online, but still, her money is chump change compared to a modest US income, therefore I don't let her pay for nothing (but sometimes she still buys stuff from her own money) and as I mentioned before, most of my expenses are the same with or without her, and some are less, because she cooks, the only problem is that the filipino cuisine compared to the rest of SEA is the most fattening and unhealthy, and in one year of living together I gained 25 lb. She doesn't like eating out, we do it rarely or when traveling.
About trying to change the filipino mindset, about how things really are in this world: I'm still working on that, making very little progress.

I've found you can bypass the bar-fine route and the young money grabbers and get return sex and long play.
Some guys are looking in the wrong places.
I befriended a regular bar waitress (not a go-go girl) a few years ago and always return to see her in Sabang. I'll be back there next month.
It's not a relationship, just friends with benefits. And yes, I reward her about 1000 p per day.
In March, I'll be taking her to Boracay, so I'll be paying for her meals and cheap Red Horse but accommodation is the same for one person as it is for two.
Compare the costs of taking a girl out for a meal and drinks for a night out in Australia, America, The UK and Europe without getting action at the end of the night, and it's a bargain in comparison.
Got to love The Phils _ Phil.

This one has just been a loyal servant over the past few years, so it's a bit of a treat for her.
(Plus, I have a bit of business to attend to at the same time).
It's also guaranteed action for a week or so.
I wouldn't do my balls over a girl I've only just met and then spend up on holidays.
She's a long term contact and is a gymnast in the bed, so a cheap Air Cebu fare and the fact that she looks at Western priced menus in shock at the prices, means she's willing to cook too.
Then there's the bikini beach thing etc. Etc.
I've been to the Phils endlessly and rarely take girls on my side-travels.
Just the special ones that I've known 'long time' and are pretty much genuine friends by now who don't hit me up for money all the time _ Phil.

Just a gentle reminder of how good we have it here in SEA.
Out of boredom I was reading the USA forum, and here are only two excerpts, there was no need to read further, to remember the terror of getting caught, and the price you're paying for very little action:
"Did anyone notice the mobile police cameras set up in the Target parking lot? I am not sure if they were intended for Target or aimed towards the ramen place. Any thoughts? I played it safe and went to one of the other spas this time, even though I finally found this location. ".
And another one:
"Found the place you're talking about on Maryland and flamingo, got a girl named Wendy. $260 total for 45 minutes. ".
And we are complaining that now we're paying $100 for all night GFE, unhinged in your own place, with the companion of choice out of hundreds that you can view and interview.

Worse, that would have been covered for full service, with a 40-60 yo chinita. Worse, unless you've been with that gal before, you have no idea what extras are on her menu (if any) when you are in the midst of your rubdown. Maybe your horny self gets nothing, or you are given her even higher price just to shake you down.
OAU's comments were for AC gogos. But plenty of regular gals all over the country here can be had for less than half the price he mentioned.
