Bourbon and Maison are next door to each other in P Burgos Street in Makati. Previous to pandemic, Bourbon / Orleans was on Burgos at the corner of Badajos St (see pic). At the time, next door to Bourbon was Hollywood bar. Both were girlie gogo bars. Both were shuttered during pandemic. Bourbon temporarily re-opened around May / June of this year, and after a month or so it was renamed as Maison. Maison now sits on the corner. A few months ago, the defunct Hollywood bar was reconstructed and re-opened as Bourbon.

At the end of the day, yes, I got scammed and tricked but I essentially got a foursome for 3200 pesos which is not bad in my book. I only have advice on this in Malate (a taxi ride away from Makati). Walking the Korea-town area immediately south of Robinson's mall after dark on Bocobo, Adriatico, Malvar, or Mabini Streets will get you hit on by a bunch of touts with placards with pics of pretty girls, offering to walk you to a nearby casa. Update on Dimples bar. They have a privado room. It is diagonally (catty-corner?) across from the entrance doorway. A visit there a few weeks ago the place was jumping. Makati Day 1:

After 6 days in Angeles at ABC Hotel, I took the ABC SUV Service to Makati (PHP4700 + tip) and got dropped of at Makati Palace on P. Burgos. (See the Angeles Forum for my AC reports.).

Arrived around 2 pm and they let me check in early. I had scheduled two more Sugar Baby dates for my trip and the 1st was that night; dinner in BGC and then back to my room for dessert. Makati Day 3:

I spent one night in Makati (Thursday, March 16th) I had planned on spending four nights there, but expats I met in AC convinced me not to. (Had I loved it I could have added on some days later in my trip, but I figured I'd do one night to check it out even though my "advisers" said not to spend any time there.).

I stayed at the City Garden Grand (not to be confused with the City Garden across the street). Nice hotel, although like everything in Makati it (and food and drink there) is expensive compared to AC. Elevators are SLOW. Only two seem to operate regularly and they are not enough, plus the security system where everyone has to flash their keycard for their floor slows things down further. Room was nice. Bed is huge. Bathroom okay, but not overwhelming. No minibar was annoying. I paid my lodging through Agoda so the hotel wouldn't give me credit for anything (no tabs, I would have given them a card if they asked)). Rooftop restaurant and pool have gorgeous views but terrible service. Location is great if you want to with P Burgos.

I had made a last minute decision to bring my 19 year old sweetheart from AC with me (Makati was a stopover on the way to Puerto Galera). At the time I wasn't sure it binging her was a good choice (although ultimately it was). So although I went to check out the Burgos bars I wasn't actively looking (A. Was still on Bar Girl time and having been roused at 10 am she was napping in the evening. I didn't want a late night so I left her and went bar hopping on my own between 10 pm and midnight).

After the bars I had a pizza at Argos, good food. The saddest thing was the teenage girls begging with infant children in their arms. Don't eat on the street on P Burgos unless you have a strong stomach. The next day my girl and I had brunch at The Filling Station. She loved it. Last day in the PH before flying home and I wanted to get the most of it.

I still had some shopping to do for myself and for gifts for friends back home. I had been constantly disappointed by my inability to find and buy souvenir shot glasses. I knew (or I suspected) that I could find some at the airport when I flew home, but I prefer to get them from locations and / or attractions I actually visit. Manila Ocean Park-no shot glasses. ABC Hotel-sold out. Little shops along Walking Street-nope. Margarita Station-TShirts, no shot glasses. Filling Station & Jose Cuervo Cantina-sorry, pal, no. Makati Hard Rock Cafe-I mean come on! I have a whole display shelf of HRC glasses from all over the world. But they, too were sold out. I lamented my sadness to the ridiculously hot bar tender there and she took pity on me by offering me a consolidation blow job. Ok, no that didn't happen (in reality anyway). But she did call the HRC Manila location to have them set aside two shot glasses for me. Today was my only opportunity to head across the city to the S. Masion Mall next to the Conrad Hotel and pick them up. Seeking is hands down the best resource in Manila. A few tips based on my experiences:

1. Timing is important: Don't bother messaging more than 7 days before you arrive. 3-4 days is optimal.

2. Change your Seeking profile location to Manila when you want to start sending & receiving messages, and make sure your profile is set to visible in search.

3. Don't bother using Seeking in Angeles City. There are very few viable active profiles in the AC area. I suggest PinaLove instead.

4. As with messaging in your home country, try to move the conversation off the site (to WhatsApp) ASAP. Do not mention anything P4 P related or risk being banned by Seeking for a TOS violation.

Provincial Cebu to Cebu City, SanCarlos to Cebu, Gensan to Davao, Nowheresville in Negros to Dumaguete are all achievable.

In my book they ranged from 3's to 6's with the odd chance for a 7. I am sure they were much cheaper than the bars, I didn't ask prices but I'd guess 2500 would get it done (less for the ugly ones). Unsafe? Probably not if you take them back to a decent hotel where the security will protect you. But there certainly were lots of transvestites, some were even good looking from 6 feet. So be careful if you have beer goggles on. Most looked of legal age to me, the youngest girls seemed to be the beggars carrying an infant in their arms. Something tells me stay away from them period (if you want to help, donate to a reputable org that knows the deal).

Pics 1-3) The old Rogues (now O'Reilly's), the old Hollywood (now Bourbon), and the old Bourbon (now Maison).

4) Movida bar. Pre-covid was an upscale, eclectic live band resto / bar. The bands changed nightly: Country, reggae, pop, blues, rock, metal, you name it. Pretty good stuff. Closed during Covid and re-opened in late 2021 temporarily. The city closed it at the time for repeatedly staying open after the midnight curfew and serving alcohol during alcohol bans. Open again, but a bouncer said they lost their entertainment bonafides, so no more live band.

5) Lion's Pride. Formerly WowWow bar. Re-opened last year as a gogo, and closed after a few months. Later I saw the door open and a lot of reconstruction. Some kind of moving assembly on the ceiling being installed. I assumed a western-type dry-cleaner. The guard at the time said a restaurant would come soon. Recently the door was open again and all of the old reconstruction had been removed, and its being remodeled *again*. This guard says it will be a bar.

6) The old Horizon and Jools.

7) The updated Horizon / Jools. Apparently will be a "Nightlife Multi-Concept Complex". Whatever that means.

Not pictured is Alibi bar, next to Ringside. The bouncer was outside. I walked in about 10:15 pm. Not a single girl in the joint. Music was playing. No customers. The waitress asked me to sit. I asked where the girls were? "Later. 11 pm maybe. Just you wait". Um, no thanks.

And the Burgos / Durban-Kalayann area.

8) A new place called Marquee, next to Neon Nights disco / gogo. Not sure if Marquee is open yet.

Cheers. G.I was out at Greenbelt on Tuesday evening meeting some friends for dinner at around 8:30 pm. I walked in from Makati Avenue and made my way towards the Starbucks and Courtyard area where Havana Cafe used to be (now replaced by Wildflour). Even before I get to Starbucks, there are 3-4 cute girls hanging out a few meters from Starbucks on the right hand side where there is. Wall for sitting. They see me, stand up, make eye contact, and flash pretty smiles. I continue walking.

I pass Starbucks and it seemed as if the entire outdoor seating was populated by trannys. The ones in seats closest to the walkway called out and waved trying to get my attention.

Walking beyond Starbucks and the courtyard, where there is more seating by the wall, were several more groups of girls, not as cute as the first group. They position themselves in my path so I have to maneuver around them to keep walking.

When getting to the covered bridge area where you can turn right to go to Greenbelt 5 or go straight ahead to the restaurants, that area had a few more girls who were even more aggressive. One stood up and blocked my path, looking directly into my eyes, smiling, and twirling her hair on her finger.

When you get to Bloom, there are a number of girls there who could be FL. Just saying there was a very unbalanced Female to Male ratio there, and most of the females were there unaccompanied, from the looks of things.

I visited O'Reilly's a couple of weeks ago and yes, it seems to lack a sense of identity, it replaces Rogues which was fantastic before the pandemic as a Sports / Gogo bar, but O'Reilly's isn't really a Rogues replacement and it isn't really an Irish bar. To qualify the Irish bar statement; any Irish bar should have good drink first and foremost (which I was hoping for), and the problem with Rogues was that the bar itself was a small island bar, with no draft beer facilities due to no space, the renovations that took place was to remove the low catwalk stage, remove the booths and replace them with open seating along with green wall paint and just left the bar just as before, hence the only drink that you get is from bottles / cans.

I visited there with my GF so had to leave after it became apparent that there were a number of freelancers around and they were keen to try and drum up business, so I had to leave.

In fairness to O'Reilly's part of it was still under renovation when I was there, so it may turn out to be a great place in the future, from what I could see it just seemed to have removed the best bits of Rogues and offer nothing new. The doorman said that the unit below O'Reilly's (previously Hollywood I think) was also under renovation and the idea was to open up some sort of mini complex.

Also at the corner of Burgos / Makati Ave is a Sogo hotel with ST rates. Also a few blocks away in the other direction (across Kalayaan St towards the old Jools gogo bar) is a Red Planet hotel which can be had for about p1500/ night.

Little Finger has open balcony to Blue Parrot, directly above stage, a few people were making it rain (with very small amounts of money, not anything like Korean rain party in Angeles). For some unknown reason Blue Parrot also had a marching band playing outside at 9 pm, loud enough to give me a headache. By 10 pm they had thankfully disappeared.

Most of management has transferred from Nautica, some of girls from there have become mamasans. A lot of girls are newly shipped in though. Nautica remains open, girls are being requested to transfer over to new place (s) but some are choosing to stay. Nautica has new girls in, including a stunning tall young spinner who I will definitely get to know better at some point.

I thought it would be helpful to let you all know what is happening with the ex-Rogues bar on P Burgos, now re-named O'Reilly's. The original Rogues pre-pandemic was amazing and usually crowded with tons of lookers. First time I walked in there I actually walked straight back out because it looked too intense with girls all over you and packed in there like sardines haha (2019 right before the pandemic hit). Now it is a very quiet space and there doesn't seem to be much activity. Caveat that I have only visited there earlier in the evening so later on maybe there is more going on. The bar sucks, no decent drinks as I think a recent forum member remarked, but if you only care about having cold San Mig lights you're fine.

I pulled a very buxom MILF from there recently, I would rate 7/10, barfine 4 k, tip 3 k. She was very enthusiastic about wanting to keep things going outside of office hours. I'm gets my vote 2 to 1 over City Garden Grand but the elevators were the main issue I had. I brought 2 girls to my room one night and they were hungry. I let one of the girls call to place our order and they told her that room service was over. When I got on the phone and reminded them that there were still 30 minutes before the service was supposed to stop, they accepted our order.

So Neon Lights is a sort of club / gogo hybrid. They have hot chicks that linger outside as a bait, these are known as "receptionists". Their job is just to get you to go inside with them. Actually they are fun to chat up and you can usually grab their ass or whatever they don't mind. Then there are tons of girls inside, dancers, and just like a gogo bar you can buy them a shot of vodka for like 390 or w / e and they will sit with you for a while.

So my first experience with Neon Lights I went in with a receptionist girl. It was weekend so it was packed. Anyway I danced for a bit, the couches you need to commit to spending like 2500 or something to get to sit, but there are stools at the bar and then a few other stools you can sit on for free near the pool table. You want point-and-shoot, where you can walk in and out of a bar in 15 minutes with a girl for the night? You pay the price. $250 for all night, no condom, and 2 pops isn't exactly outrageous. Are there $5000 USD *per hour* girls in your country (who require a condom)? Yes there are. Would you go to the most expensive place in Columbia or Mexico, then complain about the prices?

Get away from Manila and prices drop considerably. There are obviously other alternatives in Thailand too with TF, Tinder, beer bars and freelancers all being available in 1 k to 3. 5 k THB range for short time. Gogo hobby is definitely worst scenario for wallet.
