Since I`m no fast food junkie, I was wondering what the food standards are like in Subic Bay area? Been in Angeles City, good food was not easy to come by. I love my greens and Seafood, this is important to me, a little discussed issue on the forum. Without the correct fuel our bodies do not function in top gear, if you get my meaning.
Below is a Prawn Salad I prepared for myself just of recent, went down well. Yummy!
My women come cheap, my food. Not. I liked the food at Harley's. Not the healthiest but tasty.
There seems to be 3 girlie bar areas. More bars than couple of years ago. Angeles is better, but Subic has the beach.
The first one is in Olongapo City. You pass by it if you take the Southern Cross shuttle from Angeles. Saw several girlie bars. Not sure how many there are. Didn't hang out there.
The Southern Cross shuttle will then go over a small mountain with a good view of the bay. The road turns into National Hwy.
The Bario Baretta girlie bar scene starts around Arizona and ends at Midnight Rambler; several hundred meters. Maybe about 30 or 40 bars. The beers were between 55 to 70 pesos; the barfine (at the couple I asked) was 1500. The lady's drinks were mostly 150; some were 120. The clientele was mostly White with some Koreans. The scene is similar to Perimeter without the raunchy stuff. Bars are small; no nudity; best you get is maybe a 6. Bar with the most girls and customers was White Spot.
After the Bario Beretta girlie bar strip, the Southern Cross shuttle will then turn left to Baloy Long Beach Road. The beach hotels are there. There might be some bars with girls. I didn't check it out; if there are any, it'll be a small scene.
The other big girlie bar scene will be in Calapandayan. Instead of turning left to Baloy LB Road, go straight on National Hwy for a few kilometers. Then you will hit about 20 bars / karaokes in a 200 meter stretch in Calapandayan. There is nudity there. I think it depends on the girls. Some girls will not strip; some girls will go topless; some girls will go nude; actually, there is no "total" nudity; but some girls will strip to a string with a rope hanging in front, some will have a see thru skirt; some will have a see thru shawl covering only their breast. The clientele is mostly Filipino, with some Koreans and even less Whites. Beers were between 50 to 66 pesos; mostly 60. Chiqitata (sp?) had the most girls and customers. It's obvious in every area where the most popular bar is at; there have the most cars and moto-bikes parked in front.
Warning: The bar next to Chiqitata (sp?), starts with an "I", something like Ichiwa, has a rip-off prick waitor. The beer was 50 pesos, but he changed the receipt to make it look like 80. I was suspicous because the 8 looked strange. I went and paid at the cashier. He looked offended and surprised when I didn't tip.
PS: Some poster asked about Black Filipinos. There is one at Catwalk; one at Angelwitch; and one at Lower Lips. The one at Catwalk was the cutest (maybe a 5); her breast wasn't that big. The one at Angelwitch had the most Black features (large lips, flat nose, large breast), but I would rate her a 3. The one at Lower Lips was between those 2.

Had planned to visit Subic on my next outing to AC, but seeing only 6's at the best don't seem too encouraging for me to visit. What do you think, is it worth the extra travel?

FZThe 6 is from my tough realistic scale; 7 is the best in Angeles.
Angeles is definitely better in terms of girlie bars.
The quality at Subic is similar to Perimeter. Fields is slightly better.
I would recommend Midnite Rambler for 2 of the best looking girls in Subic. 2 sisters; the younger one might be a 7.
Subic is worth it if you want to hang out on the beach, or have a change of pace.
Subic is worth it if you want to hang out on the beach, or have a change of pace. Thanks for the reply to my questions.
I could alway go for a change of pace as AC has nothing to offer other than the bars.
But I had read someone's post here that the beach at Subic was a sewer and no better than Pattaya beach and I've been to Pattaya and I would never put anything more than my feet in those waters.

FZThe problem with Subic is that the rivers that feed Subic bay is littered with trash, and it smells (3rd world locals have no sense of keeping their country clean).
But the beaches in Subic wasn't that bad. You can't see much trash nor smell anything bad.
Pattaya beach and Subic are almost the same. Small beach, nothing fancy. Pattaya beach wasn't that bad; they stopped dumping raw sewage many years ago.
But then I haven't read any reports on the bacteria levels in the water. If it's bad, my guess is that the government will want to keep it quiet.
If you scuba dive, there's good wreck diving in Subic Bay.
For better beaches and scuba diving, if you have the time or money, I would recommend Puerto Galera/Sabang (White Beach for the beach and Sabang for the nightlife). There aren't as many girlie bars as Subic, but 7 is enough, IMO.
Public bus is the cheapest way to travel.
The Southern Cross shuttle/Si-Kat shuttle is a comfortable combo (total is 1200 pesos + pier tax), but going from Angeles to Sabang, you have to spend one night in Manila. From Sabang to Angeles, you can do it in one day.
Best and most expensive method is by private taxi to Batangas Pier; it takes approx 4 hours. Total cost including public boat will be approx 5000 pesos. Private boat will add a lot to the total.
If you scuba dive, there's good wreck diving in Subic Bay.Yes very true but visibility can be hampered by the current.
I would recommend Midnite Rambler for 2 of the best looking girls in Subic. 2 sisters; the younger one might be a 7.Thought that MR was a regular bar and did not know you could BF the talent.
Thought that MR was a regular bar and did not know you could BF the talent. That's what I initially thought. The girls wear dresses and don't dance in bikinis. They will bring you your drinks and play pool with you. The bar has no A / C; there's a live band on the weekends.
So I bought them a lady's drink, grabbed their ass, and asked. Barfine is 1350 pesos.
One girl told me that's why she works there instead of Angeles where she can make more money. She doesn't want to dance in a bikini, and it's more comfortable and has more of a relaxed atmosphere.
Yes MR is very relaxed and a really cool bar. Mostly been there during the day hanging out back on their deck near the water. Stopped in there one early morning around 4 am and most of the girls were crashed out! Guess you would consider it a GRO bar.
I walked through every bar on the street and overall the quality was pretty low. Many bars had few (as low as 2) girls and customers. Some bars had more door girls outside (5-6) than inside. I saw one possible dancer (that looked good "enough" to me) each in Wet Spot and Angel Witch but neither were more than a 6.
I did see one waitress / GRO in Angel Witch that appealed to me so that is where I returned to. I had a very good time in the bar getting a blow job and lots of attention from the girls. It was one of the larger bars (2 groups of about 8 dancers each and around 10 waitresses) and had a good vibe. The dancers often actually danced and had a good time yelling at each other or customers over silly things.
I bar fined the waitress and she performed very well in the room.
Bar fine was 1500; lady drinks 150. I think my drink was 50.
A tip: I distributed about 8 small individually wrapped chocolates to that many girls and that made them all even friendlier.
The info I found here needs a little updating.
Players has been renamed The Gutter.
The other foreigner bars are George Martin / Crow Bar and Griffs. An ex-pat who lives there said to stick to these because the others are unsafe.
From the list, Miami is still there. Kinky's is there but we were told it is a gay bar. High Heels is gone.
We didn't see much of appeal in any of these. One young (18) dancer in the Gutter was nice as was the part owner but she does not BF.
We ventured into a couple of the Filipino bars without incident. In Nitro there were a couple of dancers who looked somewhat better. BF in one bar (I forget the name) were 1500 ST and 2500 LT. There was nude dancing but I didn't see any BJ or HJ action in the bars other than my friend who was getting some HJ action at one bar (my girl there didn't even rub me over my pants).
We didn't take anyone out that night.
The trikes wanted 200 but could be negotiated to 150 (easily) or 100 pesos with some difficulty.

Am in Subic right now (barrio Baretto).
In most of the bars I have found three or four good lookers. I am pretty fussy. So plenty to go round.
Pretty friendly and laid back. A lot smaller than AC, but some good resorts and food options as well as bars in staggering distance.
Things a bit cheaper than AC all round. I normally budget 4000P per day in AC, but running at 400P per day cheaper here.
Most bars I went to have 10-20 girls after 6-7pm eg I counted ten in Bar Barretto at about 8pm, so maybe more originally, but possibly barfined already.
Went there last week. Two girls and tow guys. Was shown a drink list and ordered 2 mango juice at 65 pesos each. Other 2 some also ordered 2 drinks. When the drinks and bill came they said 295 pesos for 2 mango juices. I sald them the drink list said 65 apeace. Oh it is double for the first drink. Pluis alittle I guess. Same with the other 2 people. Paid the price but left after finishing.
The show was the worst strip show I have ever seen. If she took of her top half the time her arm covered her tits. If the bottom came off a scarf was wrapped around her waist and through her legs. Quick glimpse of a little hair was all you could see. Dancing was nothing special or sexy. Left never to return.
Stay away from this joint
Some have said that there is some talent in the bars in Subic. Personally I didn't see hardly any if any at all. Of course we went on Wednesday night and that might not be the best time. The city was small but nice and the beach was good. Probably better if you are into diving.

I also noted that your trip was about a month ago. Closer to Christmas, some bars may not have had girls. Also, I think it depends on the time you come in as well. Later in the evening the better looking ones will have been snapped up. I was in the 'Hot Zone' last night at ten and there were still quite a few cuties available. However, the Downunder bar and grill had only one looker and about only five others on stage just before that. So, it pays to hunt early.
Wednesday this week was ok.
Rubberman, Sorry but our trip was in the second week of March, not Christmas time. We were in the bars around 7 to 8 at night I believe. It was just after dark anyway. We tried the lips bars, the one next to it and looked in a few others of which I don't remember the names. All in the same area though. Sounds like you visited different bars than we did.
Also we had brought our special chicas with us so we wern't looking for additional talent, just looking to see if anything was appealing. Possible later return to Subic was more our thinking.
But no matter we all have different taste. If what you found suits you and your taste I am happy for you. I never critise others picks as mine might not appeal to their taste. Just enjoy the goodness of them
I haven't been to Subic since August but Kinkys is bi not gay. It is loads of fun if you are there at the right time and have the right attitude. I am far from gay but I enjoy spending some time there. Some of the ladyboys are great fun even if they know you aren't interested in them as long as you are nice.
There were a lot of lesbians at Players (really they renamed it the gutter?) but they were great entertainment and have been honest about if they will give you a good time.

Interested in a 3 day side trip to Subic next time I'm in AC.
1) How often do buses run from Dau bus terminal in AC to Subic.
2) Which of the bus lines makes this run, ex. 5 Star, Victoryliner?
3) How long is the bus ride?
4) How much for the one way ride?
5) I'm familar with the location of Dau bus station in relation to how far it is to Fields (AC) itself. It's actually walkable if you didn't have too much baggage or if its not late at nite, but its still a long walk, about 1. 5km so not really advisable. I still prefer to take the jeepney up McArthur to Fields, then walk to my hotel from there.
Now, is the bus terminal in Subic near the main strip where the bars and hotels are located. Is it close enough to walk or are there jeepneys that travel from the bus station to the bars / hotels? Trying to avoid taking those dreaded trikes.
Thanks.
FZ
Before I forget, any good websites with good listing of cheap but decent hotels in Subic? You can always PM me with a list. Also, any hotels in this range that's a 5-10min jeepney ride to the main strip is ok also.
Thanks
The Victory Liner bus runs approximately every hour until midnight. It takes two hours plus because the bus does not use the toll road as it makes stops along the way. The fare was under 100 php if I remember correctly. It is something like 10 km. To BB and the trike ride will be more then the bus fare! The blue jeepneys will get you there for cheap.
As an alternative, Southern Cross shuttle will take you door to door much faster for 500 php the last time I checked.

But then I am spoiled
Its not too expensive and very clean and good service.
Nice guys working the bus.

FZFreezone. If you get the Victory Liner from Dau it will terminate at the Victory Liner Terminal in Olongapo.
Look for the Blue Jeeps assembled nearby. They depart frequently for Barrio Barretto, where most of the Hotels and Bars are located. The ride takes roughly 15-20 minutes. Expect the Jeep to be full on departure and take the usual safeguards regarding possessions, money in pockets etc. Fare was P10, maybe a couple more Pesos now.
Just a note for any newcomers.
Most of the bars / hotels mentioned in this thread are in the SUBIC Bay area but are NOT in Subic city. There is also a thread called Olongapo and information about Baloy beach tends to show up in both of these threads.

Subic bay is the name of the whole general area. The mongering area is quite small and located in Barrio Barr. Or Baloy beach nearby. Both are within walking distance if you had about 20min. 30min. To kill or most take the jeepneys and trikes.
The Victory Liner bus runs approximately every hour until midnight. It takes two hours plus because the bus does not use the toll road as it makes stops along the way.Victory actually has both regular and Express these days. The express will have a sign EXPRESS or SCTEX or both. The express bus takes about one hour to / from Dau and uses NLEX for ongoing connection to / from Manila. Express bus is about P 130 to Dau and another 100+ to Manila depending on where you take off.

Title says it all. I was recently pick-pocketed half of my rent money in Jeepney because up to now I had to go Olongapo (or Subic City) to withdraw cash from ATM. Hopefully ATM stays at Wild Orchid. I was able to get 10, 000 PHP twice. Did not try higher amount or needed more than that.

I am fan of Gin'and'Tonic. I have been looking for Schweppes or any other Tonic Water in Barretto, Olongapo and Subic City. Until now I have got it from Barretto's Corkscrew but now also they are out of stock. How do locals drink their Gin? I have checked
7/11's. Does not belong to chain selection.
Mini Stops. Same as above.
Barretto: Mini Mart, Corkscrew, Bizmart and all other smaller shops.
Subic City Super Mart.
Olongapo: Royal and all small shops on walking path

I was in Barretto two weeks last Easter. I was about to write a report but never got to it. That time I would have had something of closed and new bars but now it is not relevant anymore.
Rum Jungle had expanded to Dryden`s restaurant place and Dryden had moved and become a deli with reduced menu. It is now a snack bar with menu fitted into one laminated sheet.
I also heard my Hawaiian friend had died in accident last December. He had rented apartment from Casa del Mar for several months. One evening he fell down stairs and was killed. I visited him one evening last Summer. The apartment is in two floors and varnished wooden stairs to second floor were steep and slippery. It was accident waiting to happen when you have drinks and go daily up and down. He had a local street vendor as a best friend and I heard about the accident from him. He said that friend would have been third person to die there and the place has a bad juju. Sad thing is I recommended him to move another apartment with better services and deal but I guess he had negotiated better deal back there.
The Kalaklan Bridge to SBMA and Pier One was under construction. Now it is opened with traffic lights and rain covered pavement.
Olongapo City Mall was demolished and SM Mall construction had started.
Stayed at Blue Rock, Subic, several months back, can't say I will hurry back. Preferable to bring a girl along to ease the boredom. Food was good though, sexing the girl topped the bill. Very slow paced destination, being a city slicker, more suitable to the mature gents with time on their hands, retired. The floating bar gets going midday until late, can be fun, good way to while away the day with a few cold ones.
Wow, I was blown away to see Olongapo mall right there across form shit river bridge, the bridge I crossed dozens of time transporting myself from DD945 to something like heaven on earth. That was about 1980. Now it is gone. And something else is growing there. Damn I feel old.

I have checkedI have found a lot of Filipinos mix their gin with pineapple juice, often making up a pitcher at a time for group sharing. I have introduced them to tonic, they like it, but consider it too exotic and hard to find to make it worth changing from pineapple juice. I'm glad you found your mixer.
Certainly not the capital of mongering, never the less relaxing with your girl. Enjoyable destination to get some rest, replenish the balls. This was not my case though. Boom Boom the girl.

My initial opinion is that alot of foreign military in these places would not be good for the average monger.

My initial opinion is that alot of foreign military in these places would not be good for the average monger. The <3000 marines will be stationed in Australia. The USA navy is negotiating to get support for ships at Subic, and the Aquino administration is apparently warmer to help from the American military than past Philippine administrations. Noynoy apparently is looking for some push-back against Chinese naval posturing in the South China Sea.
This report may seem a bit off to some but here goes. I recently stayed at wild orchid on a sat night. Both sat and sun the atm was out of order. So I went to Harleys bar for a drink and to ask the resident local expats what was what. They told me of atms near the bars and to take a trike there and back. Thus avoiding chance of being pick pocketed. I went to the atm near one bar and. It was offline too. And then another further up was same. So the trike guy said I should go into town. Problem solved with the banks ATM.
Now locals will call me names for paying this but I gave the trike guy a bit more because he went out of his way to help. However, I didn't have to ride in a jeepny and face the chance of being robbed.
I had a great time in Subic. Much better to relax in than Angeles or Manila. Not all about mongering yet its there if you want it. My kinda kinda place.

I caught the 845am bus from the Wild Orchid Resort to Subic (Baloy Beach) for 800 pesos. I checked into my room at the Arizona Resort and headed out to some of my old haunts. The only bar that was open at 1pm was Midnight Rambler and I decided to throw back a few cold ones. I ran into Yham and Maylene while they were eating lunch. It was obvious they were off shift and they looked a little ragged. We chatted for a little while and I decided to head back to the room for a nap. Maylene joked and said if I came back she'the suck my dick and make me cum gallons. We all laughed and I disappeared. Fast forward to 6pm and I return to the bar to scope out the girls I'the chatted with earlier. Low and behold. They were there and this time all dolled up for their shift. They were absolutely gorgeous and I bought them a lady drink while I sucked down a few cold ones. We joked around for an hour or so and we talked about everything from them eating each other's pussies to 3-sums. I finally asked if I bar fined both of them, would they be into a 3-sum and eating pussy together. They agreed and I paid their 1, 500 peso a piece bar fine. We grabbed a bottle of rum on the way back to the room and had drinks before jumping in the shower. Once in bed, I took turns with DATY on each while they took turns sucking my cock. I pulled the vibrators out and they loved playing with each other, taking turns making each other cum. I started fucking Maylene and Yham started sucking her nipples, then flipped and fucked Yham while the other sucked her nipples and played the other's clit while I fucked her hard. Each girl knew her role while I was fucked the other, and they were playing with my balls and grabbing my shaft as I pumped in and out of the other. We did that for a few hours, took a break and then started all over again. We fell asleep and I woke up Maylene at 630am for a BBBJ. These girls were a blast and I will definitely see them again when I return in January.

I headed up the street to check out the bars around 9pm. I literally walked into every bar up and down the main drag and nothing I saw seemed to strike my fancy. OBTW. I didn't go back into Midnight Rambler, as I would have been 'expected' to take Yham and Maylene home again. While I had a fantastic time with those two, I wanted something different. I decided to head back to Arizona around 11pm and decided I would probably break my own rule of not bar fining a woman from the same hotel I stay. I sat at the bar and was immediately surrounded by the girls, two of which I struck up a conversation with and bought lady drinks for. I noticed Joy two seats down, as she kept staring and winking at me. There was a lull in the conversation with the two bar girls and I heard Joy ask the bartender for something. The bartender reached in the beer cooler and pulled out a bra and handed it to Joy. Right then and there, Joy pulled down her tube top to show the second nicest set of tits I'd seen (see Heartland from Angeles City post) and she put the chilled bra on and then looked and winked at me again. I couldn't pull 1,500 pesos for her bar fine fast enough and we wandered up to the room. After the usual shower, I went for the DATY and after making her cum a few times, I pulled the vibrators out and she loved them. We wore ourselves out in numerous positions and finally fell asleep around 4am. I woke her up at 7am for another round and we napped until heading down for breakfast. I asked her to accompany me to the Olongapo market, which she gladly did. I bought her three dresses (total 800 pesos) and she was thrilled. We got back to the room and got busy one last time before I sent her on her way. She is a definite repeat when I get back to Subic in January.
Greatexpecta.
Don't think you will see them in January. Because Ill be keeping them all busy! LOL! Nice girls mate!
I have no pics at all of my subic girls. Too bad really but the one from Rum Jungle was one of the best. She didn't really want to leave in the morning. Good BJ and tight pussy. I'm close to chucking my job so I can go stay there for a month. LOL!

You seem to know a lot about the greater Subic Bay area.
I'm looking for a moderately priced hotel with a pool, nice beach and clean ocean water to bring a DIA friend from Angeles City.
I've seen favorable reviews on Arizona Int'l and Sheaven's Seafront Resort. Wild Orchid looks ok but it may be too pricey.
Please provide your usual helpful comments or recommendations on other suitable resorts.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Wild Orchid looks ok but it may be too pricey. When I was there a month ago both Arizona and Sheavens were construction sites. In fact the whole of Barrio Berretto and Baloy Beach seemed to be under construction which was just dismal. I ended up curtailing my trip and hot-legging it back to AC for some peace and quiet. LOL.
I made the mistake of booking in advance at Sheavens and the staff were pissed off and rude when I asked for my money back because of the constant drilling and hammering. The young manager was simply an arrogant f*k. My advice would be to avoid the place.

Hi XM,
You seem to know a lot about the greater Subic Bay area.
LNYou will not find nice beach or clean water as I undestand it from Subic Bay area. Beaches are not white but rather grayish because of downfall of vulcanic ashes. When sun is shining the sand gets quite burning hot. Now today there is no danger of that because weather had been awful last couple of days and I believe not tend to get much better when Autumn proceeds. Autumn rains have started and windy weather will mess up sea water further.
In general Arizona is my favourite hotel for complete overall package: price, locations, facilities but it as no real pool. 3x5m space to soak your toes. The Wild Orchid has real pool area and iit s upper scale in any measures. When I walked by yesterday they are having 25% promo on room prices with cash payment.

On the first night with bar-hopping in Barrio Baretto I check out the bars nearby my hotel the Arizona (which I highly recommend). On the hotel itself is the Score bar. Lots of girls there, on average they are... average, but some above. A nice atmosphere there. Out on the main street I turn left going west along the national highway / the main street. (The second pharmacy on the left side sell sildenafil OTC. 320 for one 100mg, some Indian brand). Some of the bars are closed (low-season, mid-week, rain). Bar Barretto is quite ok, some nice girls. Next door is 20/20. Large dancing stage, some pretty girls dancing. Looks promising so I sit down in the bar and have a drink (70). The mamasan asks if I want any of the girls. I reply that I want to look for a while. Still, a few moments late a girl is sitting by my side, she's really cute so I buy her an LD (140) and we move to the couch. I decide to barfine (1500) her. The mamasan says: "She's very good, has no children!" And it turns out to be true, she is really good and she stays all night (then she goes back to her province). Yes, the ones without children are slightly better ("Oh its' so big!")
The second night I move further up the street. Voodoo bar is first. Some talent here, but the mamasan is a bit too pushy. Next is Escort, few girls. On the next corner is Club1, an OK place as well, some girls on the stage, few customers. Turning right into the side street I get to a building with two bars inside. Both has lots of girls and a good atmosphere: On the right side is Angels (name?). Straight ahead is Angel Witch, the best one of the two, lots of people and a party there. Several good-looking girls. Back out on the main street I continue to Kiss, ok place. The same goes for several small bars in this area: Ajiya, Dusk Till Dawn, Wetstop, Hotzone, Sweet, Catwalk, Rosie's, Emu. They are worth a visit, but a possibly more interesting place is Bunny Ranch, larger, lots of customers and with a party atmosphere. Now it's getting late and time to find a girl for the night. What about 20/20? This bar was good yesterday so what about today? But no, the mamasan brings me a girl that is uninterested in me. In these cases I find it best to leave. Instead I head back to Angel Witch, sit down and have a drink. A group of girls surround me, they are all eager for LDs, and the mamasan is pushy too. This is a typical problem in many bars, but I tell them that I want to look for while first. Shortafter two girls approach me, one of them says her friend likes me a lot. That seams to be true so I buy her a LD, she's a great kisser so I bf her. We take a trike back to my hotel. The driver says 50 peso, I reply OK. But when we arrive he claims that it's 50 peso per person! I refuse to give him more, and just walk inside with my girl. (Oops, maybe he will be waiting for me ouside tomorrow, I think later.) Anyone has a experience with this version of a price hike? The girl is very nice and she is eager to please me, she stays until the next afternoon, then I experience the PP-syndrome: It seems like the girl doesn't want to leave at all. I tell her that I need to do some business on the Internet, give her a tip, and off she goes.
The third night I continue almost up to Baloy Beach (Wild Orchid). First is Office, a small place. I girl approach me a bit agressivly and grabbes my dick. When I tell her to stop the crazy hibtc hits me down there. I have never experienced something like this before and becomes somewhat perplex. I pay my bill and leave asap. Next door is Flash (name?) , ok place. So that's all the bars! I revisit some of the bars from the day before, but then I get tired and decide to call it a night and go home alone.
The best bars are in these, in priority: Angel Witch. 20/20, Vodoo, Hotzone, Score, Barretto, Bunny Ranch. Same prices and system at all of the bars. They are all geared up to bf. I think Subic Bay is underrated. If you look around you are bound to find some girls you like. High pressure in some of the bars, but that goes for AC too. Wind and rain when I was there so not exactly beach weather, but I like the rain in a way, it makes for a more dramatic setting.
Thanks for the post. I liked the setup at Sheavens. But I agree with Dopple, the service and attitude of some of the staff are horrible.
When I was there a month ago both Arizona and Sheavens were construction sites. In fact the whole of Barrio Berretto and Baloy Beach seemed to be under construction which was just dismal. I ended up curtailing my trip and hot-legging it back to AC for some peace and quiet. LOL.

Great info on subic. I have been there but with family. So did not site see. Now I know where to sneek away to next time. Nephew use to fly for FEDX. Took me to ocean park and beach but not over to barrio went to nice resturant hotel called lighthouse. He hinted there were bars nearby but with his wife and brother inlaws. Thanks again

Appreciate your thorough report. I just arrived in subic and found a special room deal at Lagoon Resort (right across the street from Johan's) and just down the road from Wild Orchid and Sheavens. Johan's has great open air covered ocean view eating area especially nice this morning for a fresh brewed cup of coffee and large selection of breakfast lunch and dinner choices. Lagoon on other side of the street has 24 hour bar and food served 11 am To 11 pm.
I wanted to comment on trike fares and make a recommendation. I've taken 3 trike rides already from Lagoon to the main bar areas near Bunny Ranch and others you mentioned. I tell the driver my destination without asking about price and climb aboard. Upon arriving at my destination I get out and hand the driver exactly P40 before they have time to say anything. Every time so far they nod acknowledgement that is adequate payment and they get the non verbal message from me that I know it is a fair payment for service peovided. Keep in mind that Lagoon is further from the bar area than Wild Orchid or Sheavens so P40 should cover most typical trike rides. It should not matter if there is one or two in your party. Hope that helps you and others visiting subic with knowing fare rates.
Was in AC 4 nights before arriving here in subic. Did one each barfines from crystal palace and bodyshop (two of my favorites along with nearby Tropix) and 3 short term during my AC visit (one off duty dancer from Champaign at 3 am Since I did not arrive AC and get settled into Orchid Inn till about midnight; and two from blow row). Short Term P700 plus P200 tip and P1800 CP and BS barfines. Whatever you do try not to barfine crystal palace P3000 spotlight girls; some are stunners but I prefer not to support those higher rates and I think girls with better attitudes are available only at the lower rates. AC is a wonderland and does not disappoint although I notice barfines have increased noticeably since my last visit almost 2 years ago now.

Hi,
I would like to stay in one of the 3 Suites above Bunny Ranch
Please could you help me with the. Email and or Telephone number.
As are planning 40 nights in Subic in the next 6 months.
Thanks,
Harry
I will be in AC (been here once many years ago) from Oct 25 until the 4th but I had considered a break and to go to Subic (never been here).
Sounds like things can be good in Subic. My question is: fun enough to be there on weekdays or is it much better on weekends?
As incredible as it may sound AC got boring after 5 days. And that was my cherry trip! Me thinks checking an alternative spot may be in order.
Thoughts? TIA
I found Subic bars very quiet, June 11, perhaps low season. If you found AC boring after a few days, well, Subic will perhaps be even worse although one has the beach to alleviate boredom. Weekends I found were pretty much more active, especially when eating out, the Blue Rock restuarant was busy as hell. I suppose the inland folks head down to Subic. Couple more Poreigners as well.
Many of your bars I was the only customer, believe it or not, ghost town. The main road was awful quiet come evening time. This was my one and only trip, have not bothered returning, perhaps if I had more time on my hands. Subic is worth a shot weekends. In time to come I should return for a swim, the area is pretty but not oustandingly so.
Hi, Concarne. To be correct, the area that you are referring to is called Bario Baretto.
It lies between Olongapo and Subic.
There are also bars in Olongapo and Subic.
If you want a total package deal, stay at Tommo's Arizona hotel. Reasonable rooms, girls onsite in the Sports Bar, a floating bar (but not in the typhoon season) and a good attitude to mongering. Western food is OK, and the waitresses are entertaining. The main bar and restaurant face the bay, very pleasant.

I'm pretty sure Noddy is writing about the area of Olongapo city near Baretto (sic?) which has a beach on Subic bay. This thread is actually Subic city. Very confusing. Has anyone been to a bar or billiards place called Alley cat?

Noddy, keep in mind that June is in the typhoon season in Bario Baretto, and Subic Bay catches its fair share of typhoon activity. So it tends to be pretty quiet through the typhoon season. Just like the tourist spots in Europe and North America in winter. Many are closed. I have been chatting with a bar owner near to there, and the weather was so bad for a month that business almost stopped. About this time of year, business will pick up. And remember that AC is well away from the coast, but it still gets typhoon activity. I remember a couple of years ago, after severe flooding, we were flying over the flooded areas in ultralights, and the damage was severe. AC itself was almost at a halt, such shitty weather.

Olongapo City is actually a twenty min ride away. I obviously do not recall the names of areas precisely, I stayed at Blue Rock, Subic Bay. I agree, there are two threads. Olongapo and Subic Bay. Both appear to confuse and mislead members on the forum. Not myself, however.
Affirmative, you stayed on Subic Bay. Blue Rock hotel (Baloy beach) and Subic City are both on Subic Bay. Baloy beach is geographically in Olongapo city. The long strip of shops and bars on the road outside of Baloy beach area is called Barrio Barreto, which is also part of Olongapo city. Is Baloy beach part of Barrio B - I have no idea.
Noddy is correct in saying that Olongapo city center is quite far from Baloy beach. In fact Subic city is closer to Baloy beach than Olongapo city center is.
Cut and paste from the Blue Rock web site: Baloy Beach, Olongapo City, Philippines.

The important thing to consider is that these districts are considered part of Olongapo City and are controlled by the Gordon family. http://www.acmap.com/subic.asp

Fast Eddie 48Yeah, very friendly staff except for the fat baboy white American manager who tries to tell you the only rooms available are the most expensive in the event you don't have a reservation. Once you start walking one of the women behind the counter all of a sudden remembers a standard room is available.
I have only stayed at a few hotels in the bario baretto area.
Wild Orchid is relatively upmarket, girls are OK. No girls available onsite. It is on Baloy beach.
Blue Rock has quite a number of girls working there, but I don't know if they are available for takeout. It is on Baloy Beach.
Tommo has owned a couple of bars, and is well seasoned in the art of mongering. He knows what mongers want, and he gets as close to providing as he can. Artizona is on the highway through Bario Baretto.
Treasure Island is a nice place to stay, and when I was there, more than a few girls were around the place. But I don't know if they are available for P4P. It is on Baloy beach.
I hope this helps a bit.

It is on Baloy beach. The Blue Rock has a floating bar offshore with about a dozen girls working there who are available for takeout. None of them were attractive when I was there so I don't remember the price they quoted but it's an interesting setting for having a drink (or meal, etc.)
Treasure Island had a pool party with a lot of girls when I was there. I am sure many were available but I don't know which resort / bar they were associated with.

So I thought The Philippines would be good for a Christmas vacation, but it turns out that many girls are vacationing too, going home to their families. That means many punters in the bars, but few dancers. At least for Barrio Baretto in Subic this is true. This is the opposite situation compared to the last time I was here in August. The first evening I discover that half the bars are closed, and the ones that are open have the "bad" ratio (at 11 pm). I check out a few "new" places: Jungle and Lollipop, typical Subic bars. In Angel Witch (not sure of the name of this one, but it is in the same building as Angel Witch, but on the left side) a young pretty dark-skinned girl on stage seems very eager to come down to sit with me. So I invite here down and two LDs later we go back to my hotel. (50 peso for the short trike ride. Too much?) She's a good kisser and otherwise a nice girl, but still somewhat mecanical. Anyway, after the first session she wants to leave: "going home now", even though she is living upstairs at the bar. Also, just before she leaves she wants a tip! I tell her I only give tip for LT, long time, that is all night. She seems disappointed but I tell her bye-bye and Merry christmas. She told me earlier she used to be working in AC, witch probably explains that "tip-demand".
Yeah John, way too much. I guess that's why you couldn't flip her an additional 50 pesos. Getting too damn expensive for me to go there anymore. Geez, a buck twenty tip. Glad you didn't do that. You might drive the prices up there.

I will try an answer any questions you have
I am looking for a hotel close to a swimming beach (LOL, I know I am asking for a lot here) and transport from AC to Subic. Looking to spend up to $80 a night. It does not have to be close to the bars but its a plus if it is. Any ideas? Also let me know how much you pay for a car to take you from AC to Subic.
First, consider looking in the Olongapo (Barrio Barreto) thread since this is the Subic city thread. The places you seek are ON Subic Bay, but not IN Subic city.
Swagman Fly the Bus and Southern cross are good transportation options and you should be able to find their web pages. There are numerous hotels in the area, although I can say I've had bad experiences at Sheavens and Trader rics. Arizona is a popular choice.

Location is important as I don't have transportation. Stayed at a resort in Pattaya which was a way out of the city and had to pay 1, 000 THB ($30 US) to use the hotel shuttle everytime I wanted to go into the city. A regular taxi, if available, would have been less then 100 THB.
What's within walking distance? I hate having to be forced to take my meals in a hotel and I don't want to spend three days sitting in a room watching mold grow on the walls becase there is nothing close.
Other hotels I am considering is Sheavens simply due to the location, midway between the beach and strip, and the Arizona simply due to the other reports on the forum.

I am looking for a hotel close to a swimming beach (LOL, I know I am asking for a lot here) and transport from AC to Subic. Looking to spend up to $80 a night. It does not have to be close to the bars but its a plus if it is. Any ideas? Also let me know how much you pay for a car to take you from AC to Subic.Mc Don,
If you are coming from AC to Subic then Wild Orchid in AC can get a car for you to the wild Orchid at Baloy beach in Subic bay, just sent them a email for the price they have private car or share shuttle baloy beach is ok for swimming but not great and only 10 min trike 50 peso to barrio bar area.

Has anyone been further out to Mariveles?

Fast Eddie 48Just Came from Blue Rock Hotel. The restaurant is on the Beach and they have a floating bar 20 meters out. You can even jump of the second floor if you like. Also best menue as far as I have seen.
Wild orchid is near by. Google it on maps and you will find several other hotels around there. They begining of the bar street is about 10 minutes by foot or 2 minutes via trike.
Most hotels can only be booked / reserved via phone or E mail.
Whatever information you can provide is appreciated. All the hotel web sites make them out to look like the Taj Mahal, but in reality. Nothing like personal observations.
There is always enough trikes that will take you in 2 minutes to the bar area. We even walked sometimes (10 minutes)
What year (s) were you there? Recent news (2012) about the whole Angeles City area have not been positive. Poor attitude, chunky bodies, terrible US$ to PHP exchange rate, higher barfines, on and on.I just came from a trip of 4 days AC and 6 days Subic. I total the girls in subic were sweeter, more GFE and less hardened then in AC. Never asked for drinks (the mama san did though)
Lots of dancing in the bars and discos. No runners. In AC I only had one good night with a waitress from Typhoone (in bed) and the Best night was taking out some Cherry girls from Dollhouse for a night of drinking.
And dancing in High Society.
The higher barfines are not explainable. One girl told us that she is a spotlightdancer for 2 days (BF 3000) after that she will be regular 1800 again. ?
My "take-in" told me that Tommo does not like freelancers roaming in to Blue Rock, but that was a while ago. It did seem appropriate policy at the time as there were Euro moms with babies and such staying there. The girls on the flooating bar are for BF. They actually work in the Blue rocks bar on the main street in Summer.
Freelancers are no problem. On every second table there was a girl sitting that I have seen the night before in one of the bars.
There are no freelancers of the street, if thats what you meant.
So After my trip I want to give something back to you guys,
Me and a buddy spent 4 days in AC and went to Subic (Barretto) after that.
I have to say I enjoyed Subic much more. There is more to do during the day and the girls are even better IMO.
1. Hotels.
We stayed 2 nights at the blue rock. Compliments to the manager. The staff was realy good, the food amazing (24hour open kitchen) and the floating bar really cool.
For 1500 Pesos I got a room a little to the back, the beach view ones are a little more expensive. (check the website for rates)
Even we had to move to another hotel, we still went there to eat and stay at the floating bar. The rooms are not very big but ok and guest are not problem.
We transfered to Waterfront Hotel (former Dreamland) after that. They have a nice pool area to hang out and the rooms are bigger. I even had a jacuzzi room for 3000 a night which was 3 times the size of the blue rock room.
Only one of 3 girls actually wanted to go in which was a little suprising to me.
My friend stayed in a 999 pesos room which was also ok. Big minus was that there is only food available until 9 pm. The staff was not nearly as good and organised as in blue rock.
Plus is that its more quite than blue rock.
2. Bars.
More then enough. We had the most fun at Rosies and Catwalk. The one at the end near 20/20 has a live band that was ok.
BF is a standard of 1500. LD were only around 150.
3. Girls.
Sweet nice GFE, my friend had one PSE Girl one night. No runners. No tip demands. No buy me this buy me that. Only the mama-sans pushed for drinks sometimes.
The greatest night between the sheets was my last night, She was still wet after 6 times and I had to get outside to buy more condoms for some morning sports. It was my personal record. She claimed hers was 12. Challenge accepted if I find the right girl.
Besides that we were bar hopping, discos, dinner with the girls. Once even to the Ologapore where we were the only foreigners in the place. It was a little scary but nothing happened.
Stunners can be found in all bars. During weekdays girls have one day of. So there are new faces everyday. So might be worth to check a bar on 2 different days.
4. Other acivities.
Besides relaxing there is actually a lot to do. Just check the tourist info. Some girls are happy to go with you, others don't like to be seen in public during daylight with their new "boy friends".
But be aware if they don't show up for work at 6 they have to pay their BF out of their own pocket.

I'll be ending my next trip (mid-Feb) in Subic. I have a flight out of MNL at noon on a Saturday. Is it feasible to get a car from Subic Saturday morning that will get me to the Manila airport on time? I figure I would probably have to leave at 6am or something, which is not a big deal, but if it will take more than 3-4 hours I might try spending my last night in Makati instead. Opinions?

The best way is book a taxi it only take about 1hr 30 min most resort at Subic can book a private car or taxi for you, at the Arizona resort a private van will cost about 4000 php taxi is about 2800 php but I think is better to spend a night in Manila.

Fast Eddie 48You need to book in one or days in advance. We got big problems to get a car for the same day afternoon. Took us 2 hours to manila and then 3 hours to get to the airport on a Friday afternoon. If you leave at 6 then you will hit the rush hour in the morning. So I would leave the day before as well.

I just heard a deadly hotel fire in Olapango. Any update?Global Inquirer says Dryden Hotel. Six died. Three American men, one Korean man, two (Filipina?) women. Was owned by a retired American serviceman.
I guess more details will come out, but the guy Dryden at one time owned bars in AC, not to mention Kokomos. I don't know what he owns in AC now but he seemed to have made a big move into Subic. I've also heard criticisim that he was good at selling bars to newbies, and then buying them back (at a discount) as newbie realized he was in over his head. TO be honest, I don't know shait.
I was in a nice hotel in Philippines that had a fire. I really doesn't matter what country it is, you should always familiarize yourself with fire exits. Always have a flashlite near your bed and in your bag.
And don't expect fire alarms to sound the same way they do in your country.
Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night and suddenly realized you have no fkn idea where you are? And who is that person next to you in the bed? That would be a bad time to start thinking about emergency exit procedures.

The hotel was recently renovated and not a fire trap: windows could be opened and jumping from 1st floor is less painful then getting choked by smoke. Strangely the foreigners were found dead in their bed. Sleeping too deep because pissed?
RIP. In monger heaven.

Strangely the foreigners were found dead in their bed. Sleeping too deep because pissed? The UN has a safety booklet for all employees and the section on travel in Philippines includes (among several other tips) :
- always try to arrange a room on the 2nd to 4th floor as there are very few fire services that have extension ladders that can reach beyond this level. If you cannot arrange this, ensure that you are very familiar with emergency / fire exits on your floor;
- always place a Do Not Disturb sign on your door when you are in the room;
- NEVER open your door unless you have verified who is outside your room;
- always leave your TV on with the volume turned up to a reasonable level when you step outside your room.
Most of the tips are generic in nature for almost all SE Asian countries where attention to safety requirements is minimal.

Seems like smoke inhalation would get you long before the fire department's extension ladders. If you're alerted in time to awaken, maybe you could get a window open to move smoke, but opening the window seems like it would also fuel the fire with an additional source of oxygen. Okay, I'm no fire engineer.

Because a long time ago they were held top ransom multiple times by the locals demanding money before attending to the fire. So now they run their own fire brigade and are apparently quite efficient.
What is Binondo and what is Chinoy?

He sold Dryden's some years ago to the famous Mo of AC who I think still owns it. It was an old building with narrow staircases and halls, not the kind of place you'd want to be in a fire.

Smoke inhalation is bad news. Most deaths from fire occur this way. Essentially what happens is that the victim dies from asphyxiation. Sometimes 15 minutes are all that's needed for this to occur if there's enough smoke. Smoke inhalation puts too much carbon monoxide into the victim's system; the effect sends the victim into deeper unconciousness and then death without ever waking up. Even 10 minutes can be enough for brain damage to occur. Hence the groggy feeling some have reported if they happened to wake up to smoke and fire. Don't have to be pissed to die that way as smoke inhalation typically causes even awake people to pass out first before dying. This is why smoke detectors are such a big deal and it's important to make sure they're working, that the batteries haven't been lifted by workers looking to stuff their electronic gadgets. But hotels that have smoking rooms often don't have detectors in those rooms because they can be set off by cigarette smoke.

The report say the fire exit is lock not sure the hotel have smoke alarm, the PI fire and police DPT is know for their slow respond time, last yr there was a fire in a poor area of Manila where many people died it take the fire dpt over one hr to get to the fire and it was at 2am traffic should not be a problem at that time.

I was only there for a couple of nights, so just a couple of observations:
1. The girls on the floating bar and sports bar at Arizona might appear attractive if you have not had sex since the 1970s. I am being kind when I say this.
2. Club 1. Girls looked OK, probably a bit better than the average in Angeles, however they all looked thoroughly bored and made no effort at eye contact. Why bother?
3. Angelwitch. Much better. Lots of variety, some quality too. Probably more than usual as some have relocated from one of the bars damaged in the recent fire. Took a waitress out, I wasn't that fussed how long she stayed for so said she can go whatever time she pleases, she still asked politely at 3am if she could go and was still apologetic about leaving early. Nice attitude.
ATMs are convenient here except on a Sunday when they run out of cash. Cannot think of anything else to report.

I stay there every time I visit Subic, as Dave and Jerry really run a good joint. Great service, friendly patrons and staff. Some of the cheaper rooms aren't so nice, though. So my advice is to go for the "beach view" rooms upstairs at about $65 / night; they're all pretty bright and sunny, and with a balcony to boot. My fave is Room Seven.
Bluerock has great food, and the floating bar is a blast. But some of the rooms there aren't so nice. So I usually stay at T. I. & eat and party at Bluerock.

It's a shame because subic is more relaxing, has less japs / koreans, and the girls are friendlier than AC.

It's a shame because subic is more relaxing, has less japs / koreans, and the girls are friendlier than AC.I was there in December. From what I have seen. It depended on the day and bar. Sometimes I returned to a bar because I have seen a stunner there the day before, but she was not there on that day.
Generaly I think the ratio is the same as in AC, but in AC the pool is bigger, hence more stunners.
If I had to choose I would rather return to Subic if it was for a longer time. If it was only for 2 or 3 days. I would choose AC.

The reason people go to Subic is to relax on the beach at night there are not many people on the st, most bar in Barrio open around 4-5 pm and there are not pack like the AC, if your idea is just mongering with 24 hr in your face action go to AC.

I am being kind when I say this.I agree that the talent was pretty thin on the floating bar although there were a couple that were pretty cute. In particular a girl called Patricia who's young, pretty, thin and has a great rack. Unfortunately it's hard to avoid being latched onto by some of the older hags so I only ventured out there a couple of times.

It's a shame because subic is more relaxing, has less japs / koreans, and the girls are friendlier than AC.I think you must have been a bit unlucky as there tended to be a couple of quality girls at each bar I went to when I was there in January. As someone else said, Subic is a destination for more than just mongering so I found enough cuties there to keep me happy. I also found the bars there far friendlier than in AC and the bar managers actually appreciate you visiting their bar. AC has a far greater range but the daytimes there drive me batty. Subic's mix of beach, diving and nightlife was the right balance for me. I guess it all comes down to the individual.

I am feeling real good with less than 3 weeks before I head over to BKK and begin my Asia 2013 Shagarama.
But I woke up this morning to some bad news in the form an email from Philippine Airlines notifying me that my round trip flight from Clark to Puerto Princessa, Palawan has been cancelled. WTF! It was the second route cancellation to Palawan scheduled for this trip. Air Asia bailed on me late last November. Oh well. The Gods must be trying to send me a message: Don't go to El Nido, stay in Luzon and get laid.
It took me less than 5 minutes to bounce back from this route cancellation BS and come up with two real good alternatives. I thought about spending 5 days in Manila and what fun that would be, and then I thought about taking my first cherry boy trip to Subic. It was a tough decision because I really like a couple of Manila girls and I get a kick out of Burgos and EDSA, but in the end, I chose to give Subic a try. So from BKK, I am flying into AC and will punt around for 6 days and then I will take take a 5 day side trip to Subic before I head back to BKK by way of Macau.
Life is good. I am now looking forward to the GFE Subic style.

CheersI stayed there with my friend back in May. Stayed at Arizona Resort. They arranged pick up at MNL Airport with a Van. San Mig. And 2 Girls that were pre picked from their website pics. 2 girls for me and my Mate made for a comfortable ride to Subic. Ask for Gavin he will take care of you. Several guests at the bar were Merchant Marines. They travel all over the world. Could stay anywhere on their 6 months off time. Guess where they choose. Yep. Arizona Resort in Subic. You will not be disappointed. If you get bored. Angeles is only a 45 minute ride away. Makes for a perfect day trip.
Scores bar is in the Resort. Pick a lady out of there for P1,500 signed to your room.... lol..... She will be your security to walk up and down the National Highway... make sure you stop at Midnight Rambler.... Great Rock and Roll music...

Just looking for a couple of fun resorts with pool, eating places, nice scenery. No diving. Have been to Borocay. But decided just too expensive right now. Any thoughts appreciated. Currently in Angeles for several weeks but need a change of pace

Matabungkay and Nasugbu spring to mind. Lots of resorts there.
Better strategy is to go north of AC to La Union. Only a couple of hours. Great beaches there.
Or you could go much further north right up to Ilocos Norte to Pagudpud and others.
Use Google. Stacks of info available there.
The gf wants to go swim with the dolphins up at Subic Ocean Park. I'm looking for hotel recommendation (s) within reasonable proximity. Got to have cable tv, air and wifi and don't want to be stuck out in the middle of alot of acreage with nothing else near. There is a place next to the park but I'm not going to pay Diamond Hotel prices just to be next to the ocean park.

The gf wants to go swim with the dolphins up at Subic Ocean Park. I'm looking for hotel recommendation (s) within reasonable proximity. Got to have cable tv, air and wifi and don't want to be stuck out in the middle of alot of acreage with nothing else near. There is a place next to the park but I'm not going to pay Diamond Hotel prices just to be next to the ocean park.Http://www.camayanbeachresort.com/index.php?p=home

Http://www.camayanbeachresort.com/index.php?p=homeI swam at the beach and ate and drank here once but did not partake of room accommodations. Food was okay, beach was average-a few rocks, but generally smooth bottom, depth drops fairly quickly, and there's a float and diving platform within their roped-off swim area. It is far enough from the filth of the Olongapo River that you don't get the smell of polluted water that's found in the Bario Baretto area. It is next door to the ocean park, and there is nothing else nearby. I've seen the show at the ocean park, and although they let guests take pictures near the dolphins and whales, I don't recall that they let guests swim with the animals.
The gf wants to go swim with the dolphins up at Subic Ocean Park.To my knowledge, you cannot swim with the dolphins at Ocean Park.
Nobody was doing it when I was there.
Maybe you pay some premium price and arrange it outside of park hours but I have not heard about it.

Maybe you pay some premium price and arrange it outside of park hours but I have not heard about it.The website shows one package shows where the dolphins swim close to shore with you, waist-deep water, to pet. Another package shows them water-taxi you to an area where you swim with dolphins in the open sea. A third package shows you scubadiving, with dolphins swimming around you.

My wingman and I want to rent a car in Subic and drive southward to check out some new territory, beaches, etc. We have the companions lined up and will spend two nights in different places. Any advice on decent destinations south of subic. Not impressed with the beach in Subic. But I don't expect to find much better in this area. Just looking for a couple of fun resorts with pool, eating places, nice scenery. No diving. Have been to Borocay. But decided just too expensive right now. Any thoughts appreciated. Currently in Angeles for several weeks but need a change of paceHave heard there are some great resorts just north of Subic in Zambales province around Iba.

http://www.oceanadventure.com.ph/animalencounters.html#seNone of that happened in the Ocean Park WC the day that I was there.
It may be a series of clever photos to lure naive and unsuspecting filipinas into thinking that you can do it at Ocean Park. I doubt that many filipinas have certified diving qualifications to be able to swim in either the lagoon or open sea.
Of course, I might be completely wrong about all this. Maybe it was a day off for the dolphins when I was there but nothing was said about it.
I thought the 4000 plus plus peso entrance fee was a bit of a rip-off (for a Philippines show anyway - San Diego Marine Park is a bit different lol)
On the subject of swimming which I love, I was sat with a Gentlemen several weeks back in AC, he asked me if I swam in Subic Bay, to which I confirmed. I knew then he was about to make a serious point. According to him, both the US and AUS navy carried out a study of the bays water quality and found it outrageously polluted. I mentioned to Gent; I knew there was a possible contamination but did not believe it to be that bad, to which he said it is worse than you believe. Apparently during high tide the waters drag back into the bay your turds which you deposited that morning and beyond. Add to this, the streams and shipyards are contaminating the water further. Sunken shipping has also caused problems with water quality.
The bay is exceedingly deep and has a narrow mouth to the ocean, thus it struggles to cleanse itself. Do not be fooled by the waters glassy look, I noticed during my visit there; fishermen's nets had barely fish when dragged ashore, only catching little fellas which I'm sure they make a dish of.

All the crap goes into the sea from everywhere. The drinking bar (floating bar) is there, and everyone has a good time jumping into the sea. My only concern are the jelly fish, and some of the women that showed up there.

I was in Subic 6 month ago when Scuba diving out of the Arizona resort the whole bay is cleaner than it was 10 yr ago I was told, there are many good wreck dive site but I didn't see much fish life on the reef is been heavy fish by drag netting and many oil spill from the ship wreck, the city want to clean up the bay and the night life to make this a familes toutist spot.

We have a crew going to Angeles and Subic (Blue Rock resort) in a couple weeks. The original plan was Sunday. Tuesday night spent in Subic and Wed through Sat in Angeles. One friend insists that Subic is dead mid-week, so we're safer if we reverse the order. Meanwhile I prefer the original order.
Can anyone give some advice? Is Barrio Barretto and Olongapo a lot different on Fri / Sat vs the rest of the week? I have seen Angeles on weekdays and weekends, the difference wasn't particularly obvious to me. I found hot girls without a problem every day, so that's all I cared about. We didn't make it to Olongapo last time AT ALL, so I don't even know if it is bigger than Barrio Barretto or not.
Basically, for Barrio and Olongapo approximately what % of weekend activity / hot girls / excitement would we see on a Monday night? Thank you!

Basically, for Barrio and Olongapo approximately what % of weekend activity / hot girls / excitement would we see on a Monday night? Thank you!Subic [As in Barrio Barretto, I can't really speak for Olongapo] is a very quiet beach area. Compare to Angeles, Barrio Barretto is always "dead". Even when its rocking full on, its very quiet. Its a place to come and enjoy nature, and the girls are a after thought. There is more civilian / Filipino activity on the beaches during the weekends [Espically this weekend, Religious holiday and all], so your chances of mingling with non-pros is higher. Pros are in Barrio Barretto all week long, and I haven't noticed a different staffing level weekends vs weeknights. Constant all week. I'd say Barrio Barretto has the same distribution of hot vs ugly as Angeles with a slight skew towards older.
This upcomming weekend 30th / 31st is going to be understaffed anywhere you go, many of the girls travel home for the religious holiday, espically the "Farm Fresh" girls who get homesick easily.

Australian man shot dead at holiday resort.
April 6, 2013. 8:43PM.
Australian man was shot at the Blue Rock Beachfront Restaurant, pictured above.
POLICE in the Philippines have confirmed that an Australian man was shot dead last night at a holiday resort near the capital of Manila.
Paul Dean Davy. 53, general manager at the Blue Rock Beach Resort in Olangapo, on Baloy Long Beach, was shot once in the back of the head with a. 45 gun, police said.
Senior officer Tyrone Tecson, of Olongapo police, said a witness told police that Mr Davy had been talking to another Australian man at the Blue Rock Beachfront Restaurant when he was approached from behind.
'Last night, around 7pm, he was shot by an unidentified assailant inside the Blue Rock Resort, the one he was managing, ' he said.
Mr Davy was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital where he later died.
'He was just approached from behind while Paul Davy was talking to a fellow Australian.
'It was in the middle portion of the Blue Rock restaurant, in the customer-receiving area.
'When we arrived, still there were lots of customers. '
Officer Tecson indicated that Mr Davy knew his attacker.
'It's an isolated case, ' he said.
The shooter was described as a man of Filipino appearance aged 30-35 who was wearing clear prescription glasses and a blue cap.
An employee at Blue Rock Resort was unable to comment.
Police are in the process of preparing a report for the Australian Embassy at the time of writing.

AN Australian has been shot dead execution-style at the beach resort he was managing in the Philippines.
Blue Rock Beach Resort general manager Paul Dean Davy. 53, was shot in the back of the head while talking to another Australian man at a resort restaurant in Olongapo. 120km north of Manila, on Friday night.
Police said the gunman approached Mr Davy from behind at the beachside restaurant, holding a. 45 pistol.
He then pointed it at the back of his head and fired.
Witnesses said the restaurant was full of holiday makers and families at the time of the attack.
Mr Davy was rushed to hospital but later died.
Police described the shooter as a Filipino man aged 30-35 wearing a blue cap and clear prescription glasses.
It is understood Mr Davy knew his attacker.
It was not clear if police had apprehended the suspect.
Mr Davy is believed to be from Brisbane and was the general manager of the popular resort, well-known for its yearly beauty pageant involving local women.
Resort staff were in a meeting and were unable to comment on the incident.
Police have said it was an isolated attack. Officers were still at the crime scene.
The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade spokeswoman said: "We can confirm the death of a 53-year-old man in the Philippines."

Any girls with big soo-soos?Mr. D. Mostly basic young standartized lumber yard merchandice as usually. I have not seen any D-size. But they are extremely desperate so a wingman is adviced to cover your back. This evening before 9pm on second bar Lollipops a GRO got an attitude because I did not start sharing LD's and did not EWR. I gave 200PHP for 160PHP drinks she came back with coins and started counting them to me one by one.
There are two sides of story. They had started a show of their own with other customer sitting on catwalk just about when I was leaving and expected me to stay to watch it over and, of course, rewarding with drinks.
Thanks, WW. Hopefully you got to insert your moby dick into the the kikis.

I was also at Lolipops last night around 11:30 pm The waitress tried to play me for lady drinks like I had "Sucker" written on my forehead. I got pissed off, chugged down my vodka and summarily left. What struck me last night was that I didn't see a girl on stage that was attractive to me but the waitresses or "ladies" to buy lady drinks for were of a much higher caliber. Back to Manila tomorrow after another 2 days in AC. Break out the cough drops and Kleenex at Valenzuela.

GEIf the guy was managing like a slave driver than it's just one of those hazards of life or a high cost of doing business. It's not a rare event even in the USA for some fired worker to get a grievance and a gun and take care of business his way, though to be fair I doubt anyone on this mb knows all the facts yet of the late Mr Davy. Though some obviously high profile examples of behavior to hasten one's demise in the PI (Texan cowboys and Canadian millionaires come to mind). Personally I shake my head telling myself "there but for the grace of god go I" etc. Jonathan Winters died yest at 87 and my old man, an old 8th AF guy died last month at 88. Anyone care so speculate where the rest of the waste winds up? Thinking about this might also cause you to reflect on whether you really want to eat locally caught "fresh" seafood. I think I'll continue to pass up the opportunity.

Anyone care so speculate where the rest of the waste winds up? Thinking about this might also cause you to reflect on whether you really want to eat locally caught "fresh" seafood. I think I'll continue to pass up the opportunity. GERecently I was looking at all the outrigger bankas moored along the shore near the fish port in Navotas. Supposedly Navotas takes in more seafood than any other port in the Philippines. Presumably they're fishing boats, but probably inadequate for venturing beyond the confines of Manila Bay. And most of us have seen what flows into Manila Bay via the Pasig River and estuaries from Paranaque, Tondo and so on. Yummy!
So is it okay to stick to Tilapia and Bangus raised in freshwater? Well, some of the fishponds at the north of Malabon appear to have dikes separating them from the Tinajeros River. I guess in theory water level is maintained at watertable height from seepage through the earthen dikes. So do the houses that abut the ponds, including squatters, have sewer systems that meet international standards? And how about Laguna de Bay with all its fish pens? Isn't it fed primarily from rivers flowing in from Metro Manila and Laguna and Rizal Provinces. A couple years ago there was a major fish die-off in Lake Taal. Some thought it was because of an over-population of fish, who then starved the water of oxygen. Others thought that over-population had built up toxic levels of fish crap.
I never liked picking fish flesh from among tiny little bones, and the Philippines gives me further rationale not to eat little fish, which unfortunately offends my Filipino friends. I'll stick to chicken, since the scrawny things that get served as fast food and even in places like Max's fried chicken are surely not injected with growth hormones like in counterpart establishments in the West.

In the 10+ years I've lived here I've never knowingly eaten fish or other seafood caught in local waters, and I never will. The Pasig is now listed as among the ten most polluted waterways in the world, and it flows right into Manila Bay. As far as I know, the situation outside of Luzon is not much better. I used to dive fairly frequently, so I have some reasonable knowledge of what's lying at the bottom of some of the bays and coves which are used as solid waste receptacles by many residents of communities bordering the water.
GE
As far as I know, the situation outside of Luzon is not much better.I've never hesitated to eat the seafood in towns on the open sea. For example I was recently up in Iba, Zambales. The seafood mainly comes in from well offshore and it was beautiful. The problem is any gulf or bay with sizeable cities on it, like Batangas Bay or Lingayen Gulf or, god help us, Manila Bay. Unfortunately that's exactly where most of the tourist destinations are.

Its difficult to be in a tropical place like the Philippines and not think about eating seafood. At least it was for me. I'm also hesitant to eat seafood there, especially sushi. Although when I was in Davao recently I enjoyed both seafood and sushi. There is a sushi place in Davao that is owned and ran by a Japanese guy and I was surprised with the quality and freshness of the sushi plus it was very affordable. I don't think it was caught locally and sorry I can't remember the name. The Ranchero restaurant in the new mall in Davao servered this taste mixed platter in photo which may be the best meal I've had in the Philippines. Yummy. Yes I did get laid that night.

The reason theres so much tuna jaw and the like for sale in Davao is because the rest of the body has gone to Tokyo for sushi sashimi and the like.

I am HUGE (also literally) fan of Sushi and specially Sashimi. To bring this discussion back to to Subic Bay or rather to Olongapo thread my favoured must go place has been the restaurant Sakura in SBMA. I have usually ordered Sashimi set there worth of 800PHP. While couple of recent years passing I have seen very rapid development of SM Mall Olongapo in City and Ajayla Mall Harbour Point in SBMA. I am afraid of the future of the restaurant in pressure of this development. A small movie theater in same square has been closed. While been that square I have always felt being in ghostly Stephen King of "people vanished" world if you look around all sun burn and time torn buildingd and signs.

Arrived from AC about 1pm. Checked into hotel. 1600 php per night. Clean up. Have a beer with the guys. Head out around 5pm to the Sweet Heart I think it was. It was about the only thing open that was close. Right across the street close. Very warm inside. As in very weak a / see. Had a beer. Played pool. Watch the young pretty girls dance around. Headed to the next bar. They just opened and were not really ready for customers. So we split. Walked to the next bar, Rosies. Strong a / see. Their girls were just showing up too. Had a beer. Another friend stopped by. Had another beer. Oh, beer at Sweet Hearts was 50p, same in Rosies. Happy hour prices. Then walked to Wet Spot. Another beer. A few good looking ones there too. Then walked to Angel Witch. Had another beer and a pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich was too salty. 190p. Bar fines at all bars mentioned was 1500 php. Met a 19 year old at Angel Witch and decided to bar fine her. Once in the room, zero GFE. All the luvie duvie playfulness went away. Her oral skills were way below par. I think I was spoiled by the girls on blow job alley in AC. This girl sucked for about 45 seconds. It was bad. Ok, get on top. She did a [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) poor job there too. Ok, lay down. Pounded it out. Took a break. She wanted to stop. Too bad honey. Pounded it out some more. Finished and cleaned up. I should have known better. 19, cute. Usually means [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) poor. The only thing that could have been worse is if she were a star fish. I let her sleep over in the hopes that I would want to bang her in the morning. Nope, didn't want any more of her lazy a* we did go to the VMax last night. But we were way too early at 2am. I hear the crowd show up at 3am. I miss my blow job alley girls at 700 php short time.

I found out that the 212 liquor store close to The Office bar is considerable less expensive than the Cheers in Baloy Long Beach Road intersection. At least what comes to GT ingredients. In favor of 212 one litre Gilbrey's Gin and six tonic waters total of 370 PHP vs 0, 75 l and six tonic waters in Cheers 470 PHP. 212 is combined liquor store and internet cafe so I can print my travel documents there before returning home. There is quite good selection of imported liquor brands.

Took a jeepnee up the road to Subic City. Went into a place called Griffts Bar. It was a little after 2pm and they had just opened up. Two of the three of us found a girl and bar fined them. My girl told me 800p for short time. But I think she was quoting an in house service price. I said 800, ok, lets go. My buddy paid 800p short time plus 200p for an exit fee. I was not charged this fee. The girls were bitching back and forth when my girl paid the cashier. So I think there was a mix up of some kind. I was happy to get away from the 1500p prices that is the locked in price for girls in Barrio Berreto (SC). I miss BJ alley in AC. 700 to 800p for short time, no exit fee and they are there 24/7. Around here its a late start. 2pm and at some bars. Early close. Midnight. So the girl I got for 800p was 23, let me take photos, no rush, good service.
Later that night, my buddies and I went bar hopping. I found one at one of the bars I liked and I thought I would come back. I ended up letting my buddies drag me around to 6 or 7 or 8 more bars. I finally went back and bar fined my 19 year old. Get to the room and she put up a fight on the photo issue. But I was able to talk her into it. She was young, cute and shy. I know. Train wreck. I was surprised when she gave me a half way decent blow job. When I told her to hop on top she sniveled. After a few minutes on top I finally told her to change positions. She tried to lay on her back and I said no. Doggie. She bitched about that too. I told her to knock it off and get on all fours. Not long there and I told her to roll over. She said. Another position? I said yes, we can do this all night if I wanted to. Honestly, I was having a good time. And her complaining was not really nagging or severe. And I liked telling her once what was going to happen and she just went along with it. When I finished I told her to clean up and that she could leave. Her eyes lit up and she asked. Really? I said. Yes,"Lillie" and off she went. I did have a good time with her. Even if she was inexperienced and complained a tad. And at 1500p. Yes, she was over priced. It was about 1:30am.

Ran around bar hopping. Even went on a pontoon bar for a full moon spotting party. More bar hopping. Found a 19 year old at The Office Bar. Big smiles, touchy feely, happy happy. Pay the 1500 bar fine (geez I hate paying that much) and off we went. Get to the room and shot a couple of photos. She cleans up, then I clean up. So so BJ. Played around and finished. Oh oh, somebody is spotting. Nasty! I hate it when that happens. I told her to clean up and go. I don't think the girls should even be allowed in the bars if they are still spotting. It's just wrong! Went out for something to eat and called it a night. Heading to AC tomorrow. Woohoo! Good bye Subic Bay! Don't think I will come back to this town either. Oh yeah, I found out the Ayjia bar is a lady-boy bar. So be advised. And I also found out that the Emu bar is a scam bar. So be careful there.

BTW, thanks for the FR's; brings back some fond memories. And I know what you mean about AC's blow row girls, was staying close by on my last visit and partook a few times of their ST services.

I met up with a transplant living in the PI for almost 20 years now. The Emu and the Ayjia were the only two bars he mentioned to avoid. He said at the Emu Bar they would try to over charge you at every chance and that it would be up to you to fight for a fair price. Bottom line. Words of wisdom from a long time businessman living in the PI, why challenge it? Went to about twenty bars in Subic and only got a warning about two. I'm back in AC now. Got settled in and went straight to BJ alley about 2pm. Found a 25 year old. Big smile, happy, not too deep of a throat. But she tried. 700p. AC stomps the sh*t out of Subic Bay (IMHO).
Pay the 1500 bar fine (geez I hate paying that much)Really. I mean, that's almost $35. What do these people think we are, made of money?

I feel that AC feels even safer and more tourist police as well in the streets.
Quantity and Quality is much better in AC. The beach sucks in Subic anyways.

I don't quite understand the distinction the US Navy is making in calling for "places not bases." Perhaps it is that they don't want the cost to maintain Subic and would like to be able to pull up anchor and "pivot" again when some new hotspot strikes our fancy. But is is also perhaps useful language for placating anti-American sentiments among Filipinos. We're just visiting, not taking up residence. But I can sure fantasize some angles for creating long-term employment for myself-just long enough to get to retirement. Isn't Obama due to visit soon? He's been looking gray and worn-down lately; if it weren't for the dumbass Secret Service in Colombia and elsewhere some one of the ex-pats could do him a favor by taking him out and getting him righteously laid.

The Philippine constitution forbids the stationing of foreign troops here permanently on their own bases, i.e. as it was with Subic and Clark. When the Yanks sent spec ops "trainers" down south (Zamboanga?) some facilities were built on existing Philippine bases for their use; some in the Philippines claimed this was a constitutional violation, so both the US and Philippine authorities are particularly sensitive re which words are used to describe the US presence here. The Yanks will be allowed to co-locate on Filipino-owned bases. You'll note that the US forces here are on a "rotation" too, unlike the stationing of 2ID in Korea and the 7th Fleet in Japan. The US and Philippines have a "visiting forces agreement" (VFA) and not a "status of forces agreement" (SOFA) too. It's a bit of a shell game here. Obama visits in October I recall.

Hi all I am planning another trip to Phils, I've been to AC a few times now and was thinking about Subic, and especially now that AC is getting a bit twitchy with LE. I don't see much on here about Subic but it sounds like its worth a visit. Is there not much happening, or is it "best kept secret?" I plan to either go straight there from Manila Airport, or have a night or 2 in AC then take the daily shuttle from Kokomos. I will probably decide closer to the time, seeing how it all pans out in AC. Are there raids in Subic too? Never hear about that. All advice greatfully received, thanks guys! Plan for visit is |September / October, I will send in FRs of course!

I have been to Subic bay twice last yr it is a relaxing town more Layback and less attention than AC, there are a few bar at barrio baretta no as many as AC and girl quality is not as good as AC barfine is 1500-1800 peso and all the girl that I barfined stay until the morning, I am not sure if there is Raid currently or not.
The best way is take the Victory liner at EDSA in Manila about 90 min to subic city and then a Jeepney to Barrio from Dau to Subic city take about 40 min many bus do this route.

Subic Bay is a body of water and Olongapo city is the largest city on this body of water. This is where the old US base was located. Many of the interesting bars are located out in Barrio barreto (on Subic Bay) , which is part of Olongapo city. Cross the bridge from the Barrio barreto area and you are now in Subic CITY (also on Subic bay). Most of the past reviews suggest that you better have your wits about you if you want to venture into Subic City.
Does anyone have any objections to merging the two threads? And if it is technically difficult to do so, can we accept some alternative. Completely NEW SUBIC thread?

Does anyone have any objections to merging the two threads? And if it is technically difficult to do so, can we accept some alternative. Completely NEW SUBIC thread?I'd advocate the change, colloquially speaking most of us here simply say "Subic" anyhow when we are in fact going to be at either Baloy Beach or Barrio Barretto. IMHO the same should be done for the Manila thread, merge Manila, QC and Makati into one Metro Manila thread as there are often cross posts.
I wouldn't call Subic a "best kept secret", but it's certainly worth a visit. I too visited the area last year for a little over a week and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere at the bars. I don't recall being overly pressured at any of the bars to buy ladies drinks or being swarmed by girls upon sitting down. The selection at the bars is obviously not as large as in AC, but you can usually find a few at any bar that are attractive. And often you can find new girls who are either afraid to go to AC or use Subic as a jumping off point. One thing I did notice was that it's harder to get a bar girl to meet you privately there. This is due to smaller geographic area and the girls are afraid of being seen and getting into trouble with their respective bar. I'm not saying it's impossible, just harder. I plan to go back later this year or early next year and stay a bit longer.
A few years ago I went to AC via Manila and did not really like either to be completely honest. I spent two days in AC and jumped on the noon van to Subic.
On the way I met a really nice Brit guy who took me under his wing and showed me around the bars in Baretto. Lets call it Subic like everyone else does for convenience! The place is certainly not everyone's cup of tea but for me it is perfect. Not too sleazy yet you can easily head down the bars and fill your boots. And the hotels there are evtremely reasonable in terms of price. I made a mistake when I went there as I stayed at the Wild Orchid which was really expensive. The second time, however, I stayed at the Arizona Hotel and had a great time. After that second trip I took another friend to the same hotel and had an absolute blast.
On one of the trips I got this great girl from Wetspot who had the perfect spinner body and these perfectly proportioned boobs. She let me fuck her all night long which I have not had since. Just great. Usually I can't keep going and going but she was just so awesome I had to. End result big wetspot. In the bed. LOL!
One other girl, Barbie, is on my list but it would seem that she may be out of the game. One of the best bodies I've seen in pics. But never in person!
I'd advocate the change, colloquially speaking most of us here simply say "Subic" anyhow when we are in fact going to be at either Baloy Beach or Barrio Barretto.I totally agree. Baloy is just another place to stay while partying in Barretto. I mean, come on, it's like a ten-minute walk away.
There are of course still the funky old local-style bars in Calapandayan, up the road in Subic proper, but I doubt if one BB visitor in a hundred makes it up there. We certainly don't get many posts about them here, and once you've seen them you can understand why.
One other girl, Barbie, is on my list but it would seem that she may be out of the game. One of the best bodies I've seen in pics. But never in person!I was there this past week and I met Barbie the first couple nights, only talked and shot pool. She is tatted up and wears a ton of makeup, light skin and great tits, I would guess it is the same girl you are mentioning. She was working at Lolipop. Nice enough girl, to much of a pro for my taste, she knows how to work guys. I prefer the more layed back type. Overall, nice girl and I'm sure she would deliver a nice night.
FLT.
I made a mistake when I went there as I stayed at the Wild Orchid which was really expensive. The second time, however, I stayed at the Arizona Hotel and had a great time.I followed the same pattern: first time in the Wild Orchid and second at Arizona. I wouldn't call the Wild Orchid a mistake in my case but it definitely isn't worth the extra money in my opinion. The only thing I liked better there was the restaurant (the one near the bay) and I went to it for dinner one night when I was staying at the Arizona.

FLT.Thanks for the info. Ill definitely try to find her and it is great to know that she is around. It has been a while since I visited and a few bars have changed etc. A personal favourite is gone in the Bar Baretto joint. But what can you do? I think this time I got to also find the Japanese looking girl I found at Hot Zone. Slim and very sexy. Seemed very keen to go with me as well. It is very different in the Philippines to other places in that the girls will choose you more often than not. YMMV of course on this point.

peemantry the treasure island. i stayed there last year. the service was good and the staff is friendly. some of the cheaper rooms aren't great (small and dated) , but the beach view rooms are spacious and well lit = good for pics. if available request room 7 as that one gives the best view of the pool and the beach (the ones at the other end are partially blocked by palm trees). when i stayed the room was about 60usd (all in) per night, a bit over your budget, but it'll suite your needs.
food was a bit pricey, but there are plenty of other options like the blue rock, (btw, rooms there weren't too nice though). both have floating bars which can be fun, blue rock's is considerably larger.
one word of caution if you do stay there, watch when you're walking around the bed. it's on a concrete pedestal and you're likely to bang your toe or foot into it; painful as all hell. i think everyone who has ever stayed there, including me, has done it at least once, lol.

anyone tried mangrove hotel? since it's new, it was very good. that comment only applies for the first year or two.
the lowest price room, which faces the street, is 2950 pesos (price you get from their website or the walk-in price; slightly cheaper than agoda).
decent bed, great pillows, clean, decent wood furniture/trim, large tv, inroom safe, nice pool, nice view from the pool area, and easy access to barrio barretto (with trike or a short walk).
cons: bathroom could be better. shower drain wasn't good. wi-fi was shitty; it was spotty and/or bad.
read the reviews on tripadvisor. the score would be better if you ignore the ones that gave bad reviews because it was in a sleazy area (no shit!)
- Many/most barfines/tips seem to be 1500 pesos.
- Note my reviews are from Tuesday to Thursday. The bars get busy on the weekends.
- A few years ago, I thought the best overall bar was the Wet Spot. What happened? The bar moved. It was semi-dead. Alaska is now at the old location of the Wet Spot. It was also semi-dead.
- Overall, I thought the best bar was Lollipop.
The score would be better if you ignore the ones that gave bad reviews because it was in a sleazy area (no shit!)LOL. Remind me again, what part of Baloy / BB isn't 'sleazy'? In fact there's not a single sleazy bar anywhere near Mangrove, unless of course you walk all the way out to the main road and turn right. . . .
Just in case nobody's mentioned it here yet, the new iCove along the strip in BB is pretty decent. Kind of basic rooms but comfy, and brand new, and cheaper than you might expect from the lobby.

Fast Eddie 48I strongly recommend Subic Pearl Inn if you're interested in a place that is well kept and the rooms are clean, somewhat modern, and cheap (about $30 day). I stayed there last year and plan to stay there again. The blue rooms of the Arizona are god-awful ugly and overpriced in my opinion. Subic Pearl Inn is across the street from the Arizona where all of the market stalls are located on the street that's perpendicular to the highway. Don't let the small front desk deceive you. The room service is good and everything is clean and smells fresh. If there was anything to gripe about, it would just be the location; since it feels a bit isolated from the bars and the beach.
I am going to Subic for the first time in June for 3 nights. I would like a nice hotel with a non-smoking room. I also may be bringing a couple of girls from AC and am wondering if that would be any issues with the hotel. Thanks for your information on this.

I just got back from Subic, stayed at the Pub hotel as the location was in the center of the action and rated reasonably well on tripadvisor.
The room was nice and had air conditioning. I did have to walk 2 flights of stairs to get to my room and there was no elevator. Wasn't a big issue when I was following my barfines ass up those stairs.
The odd thing about this place was that you had to keep handing your key back to reception every time you left the room. It had a room safe and nothing was stolen, however, I've never had to do this before.
I was also unfortunate enough to stay there during a 12-hour power outage. The taps don't work during the outage and without any fans or aircon, you get sweaty and smelly quickly. They did get generators a couple of times during the day and I eventually showered but it wasn't the most pleasant of days and I was very tired by night time.
Whilst I wouldn't mind staying there again, I'd probably try somewhere else out if I visit again.
Looking back a few posts I saw a few posters describing this as a hidden gem and an alternative to AC.
I went to Subic to get away from some of the crazies hassling me at AC and wanted to get out of town. One of them texted me on the morning of my departure warning me not to go as the titties were smaller and girls were uglier out that way. It didn't take long for me to realise she had a point.
There were fewer bars (and the bars seemed smaller (there were no big bars there). I am generally picky and had been to several bars and was disappointed with the quality. I was ready to give up when I went to the bar at the bottom of my hotel (rascals) for a last drink. Found a 24 YO who was a little drunk and all over me. She said it was her first week there, and I believe her. I managed to get a BBBJ in the club after 1 DLD while the dancers were watching me from stage. Didn't take long for me to pay the 1500 p and go upstairs.
She turned out to be my favorite barfine of the whole trip. Kept her for 3 days. Wasn't hassled by friends / cousins / sisters. She gave me her full attention. And was most accommodating.
Other than that everything seemed cheaper in Subic. From drinks to barfines to shopping. Also much less beggars and street vendors. The beach was okay but not much compared to what can be seen elsewhere.
Swagmans had a minibus going there for 500 p from Angeles.
I managed to get a BBBJ in the club after 1 DLD while the dancers were watching me from stage. What's a DLD? It is not in the ISG Abbreviations directory. I am sure it is not the Department of Livestock Development or the Detroit Lincoln Dealership. Maybe it is Don't Look Down?

Just got back from Subic. I was able to meet up with a few bar manager friends of mine and had a great time as usual with them.
I tried and failed with Barbie from Lollipop. Not her type or something I guess. The manager there said he just lets her do whatever she pleases. That is fine but I don't see myself spending much time in there. Don't want to dwell on the negative stuff much so on to my report.
I think I'm one of a select few of people that have had a beer on the side of the highway somewhere between AC and Subic. Our left rear tire blew at about 2.30 am after driving from the NAIA terminal and we didn't get it fixed until an hour later. Finally arrived in Baretto at 4.30 am. Thank fuck I had the foresight to have a few girls pick us up to begin with or it would have been a very boring first day. Mine was 21 or 22 from Samar. Very willing to stay with me and I had her a few days in a row to reward that.
I'm not going to say where I stayed as I don't want the place to get in trouble with the authorities. And it seems that the troubles in AC might just be spreading to Subic.
Bars I went to this time: Dusk till dawn, Wetspot, 20/20, Cocolips, Rapscallion, Rum Jungle, Bucaneer, and a few others.
The best floater was probably Arizona's as the other one had really rough waves coming over it. We only stayed for one beer there. Arizona floater was just fun from the get-go. The girls were not pestering us much for drinks and we decided to just let it get a bit crazy. My mate was jumping off the side and coming back in for a beer. Great times!
Dusk till Dawn was ok I guess. Didn't see any special talent so we kinda just left it at that and moved on. Wetspot is great. They have NO barfines there so theres no point in discussing that. A very smart move in my opinion. Rang the bell a few times and really enjoyed my time talking to the bloody hockey maniac there. He knows who he is.
20/20 was a mixed bag. When we first went there both myself and my mate found two really hot girls and were quite impressed with them. It was probably about 20 past six when we walked in there and we intended to hit Cocolips but it wasnt open yet. So we made do with 20-20. The two girls were probably 8's out of 10. At least that was my assessment. Later in the week we went back to see if they were there. It was after midnight and Monday to boot. So they were off / already gone. I was running out of options and had to settle for ROMA as she called herself. Don't bother with this girl. EXTREMELY bad attitude. Cut everything short and wanted to go asap. She might have the fullname of ROMALIE or something like that. Anyway, avoid her. This bar offers bar fines. I was told 1500. Your mileage there with the girls WILL vary. I'm not saying they are all like this Roma chick.
Cocolips changed from what it was before. I found they kept the staff and were very accommodating. The mama there is a cool lady and I was glad to buy her a few drinks. She never asked me. My friend really likes that bar and we rang the bell a few times because we wanted to. It is probably the cheapest in Subic at 1500 peso and all the girls come and say thank you. In my case it was a kiss on the cheek as well. They still have the same hotdogs which as GREAT.
Rapscallion...I should have spent more time there. Great line up. And the manager is cool. But somehow we ended up elsewhere. I really hit the booze hard this time and it affected my girl stuff. Damn!
Rum Jungle was really good. Especially on the SOB event night. I've never seen so many HOT girls together like that in one big bar. Good gravy! The stuff dreams are made of!
If you want decent no hassle drinks and food hit up the Generals Command post. The staff there are all wonderful. And Ill be dreaming of those tacos for ages to come. YUM!
Thanks for the info. I booked the Mangrove and will report back on it around the end of June.I was perfectly happy with Mangrove Hotel. Rooms are large and extremely clean. For some it may be an issue, as the hotel does not have an elevator. It was not a problem for me even though I was on the 3rd floor.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Very girl friendly. There is a nice covered patio where you can drink or dine or just sit there listening to the waves gentling rolling in. Strong wifi there too. I sit there enjoying a cup of coffee in the mornings and last night had a wonderful dinner there. BTW, the food is excellent here.
Had a stopover at Subic. Just 24 hrs. By rental car.
A friend txted me to try the new ICove hotel in Barrio Barretto, beside the Baraca Hwy. So I did. New, so nothing is smelly! Nice hotel, great room -although only standard at 2000. Nice, spacious enough, big flat sat tv, strong WiFi throughout premises. Rooms are modern, chiq. Front parking.
Pro: in the centre of action, new, clean, great value.
Con: small pool, no restaurant, small bar -no athmospherethat invites to stay, drink and chat.
BTW, they have no website, orreservation agency as yet. They do have a Facebook, however.
As it was afternoon, I bought the necessary items for the eve / night and strolled along. Went to Harley'sto check it out. Great hangout! Will come again!
Starting the eveat some very small open air upstairs bar, sth like "Dirty Harry's" Nice waitresses, just to talk, flort and get myself into the florting groove. Then went over to the Wet Spot. It's actually connected to two other clubs. Not much happening -too early. Again, chatting, joking with the dancing girls for a warm up. Then on towards the Cat Walk, which is right across the street of my hotel. Lots of low rate dancers, totally bored on two stages. Sometimes girls are joking and easy, before bizzy time, sometimes they are just dead. This lot simply looked disgusted. No problem, I was chatting and flirting woith the young, xhubby mamasan. Then I spotted a chubby waitress. Hot stuff! Chubby and firm, big tits, straight legs, firm ass! Yessss! So I flirted withher and told her right away, that I was not interested in the lame skeletons, but a real gal like her! She enjoyed the rap and we had some fun, before I barfined her (1500). Went straight to my room and kissed. And DID that woman kiss! 100% GFE. She was hot! Hadn't been nailed in a while, I sensed and enjoyed my hammering, teasing and fingering a lot. Again, BBBJ was GFE action, sweet and au point! We had a few more throughout the night and she left early morning. Gave her another 1000 tip and was more than satisfied with my Subic Culture programm!
Next week, I'll be up in Barrio Barretta again, this time for a week.
Now I do have a few questions.
1. how much is transfer from NAIA?
-ICove hotel has no hotel-shuttle van and asks 4500 one way.
-my rental car is 9000 p. Week, so I'd rather extend a be fully mobile!
2. Club scene in Olongapo.
3. Decent restaurants in Olongapo to dinner with a sweet girl (no bar girl).

A word of warning: A DIA-lady under the nickname "Miahne" is a scam. Had a tryst lined up with her, and two hours prior she asks if OK to bring a friend. As long as she was not hiding in the bathroom and would join the fray then fine with me.
The agreed overnight rate was 2,000 peso for each (which is far too much to begin with I guess). They proceeded to:
A. Mess up the bathroom no end.
B. Deliver a combined total of 15 minutes of hanky-panky.
C. Try leaving after 15 minutes yet expecting the full night's pay.
D. Sulk non-stop when I outlined how this was going to work.
E. Spend the last 30 minutes complaining of hunger, thirst, baby at home, exam tomorrow, waiting taxi, etc.
F. Discover that the funniest and prettiest of the two had her red aunt visiting.
In the end I kicked them out. Threats of police fell on deaf ears.
So beware fellow Subic-visitors. While Miahne is lovely (50/50 Italian / Filipino) she's being too clever by half. Best shied away from and plenty other choice out here.

Next week, I'll be up in Barrio Barretta again, this time for a week.
Now I do have a few questions.
1. how much is transfer from NAIA? Arizona CHARGES $100 EACH WAY INCLUDING 2 LOVLEY LADIES.
-ICove hotel has no hotel-shuttle van and asks 4500 one way.
-my rental car is 9000 p. Week, so I'd rather extend a be fully mobile!
2. Club scene in Olongapo. NEVER DID CIVILIAN CLUBS, ONLY FLOATING BARS AND DANCING BARS. BARFINE IN SB IS P1,500 PLUS TRIKE MONEY/SMALL TIP....Friday NIGHT IS COMPETITION NIGHT BETWEEN BARS, I WAS A JUDGE. P800 ALL YOU CAN DRINK FOR 4 HOURS WITH FINGER FOOD.
3. Decent restaurants in Olongapo to dinner with a sweet girl (no bar girl). I LIKE Texas JOES ON THE BASE. BLUE ROCK is good.... Arizona HAS GOOD FOOD WITH STROLLING GUITAR ON Friday night.
I was in Barrio Barreto for a quick look around. Stayed in Arizon International Resort economy room. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. AC unit sucks. Very few choices in terms of cuties in the bars. Ended up banging a horny 30 sh bar girl from Wild Island. I am not coming back again.
Hello friends,
Next week I going to visit Philippines, and after a few days in Manila this time I would like to explore the town of Subic (Barrio Barretto). I've never been there, but after reading many of your posts here, I still have some doubts.
The place is always well attended, even in this period of the rainy season? Is there someone who was been there in October and HE can confirm that the hotels and bars are all open and operating?
Moreover: can someone remind me where is the bus station that operate from Manila to Subic? And / or which company?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Thanks in advance for your reply.Victory Liner seems to be the major operator to Zambales Province, and they have 5 terminals in Manila. Pasay is the nearest for the airport, and the nearest to Makati as the crow flies. I think some or all services use EDSA out of Manila, in which case Cubao might be a better bet. Sampoloc (Earnshaw in the timetable) is the best for Ermita. I have taken a taxi for 73 p on the meter!
Their website has a timetable for departures from Manila (nowhere else) and also quotes fares (something like 213 p).
From memory, Olongapo services are hourly, almost 24 hours. Best choice are the services to Iba and Santa Cruz as they continue through Olongapo and you don't need to change. The conductor will ask you where you want to get off. Sampoloc services had about three in late morning and early afternoon, so convenient if you are in Manila already. From Olongapo, the blue jeepney terminal is around the corner from VL terminal. Fare is 12 p or so.
Coming back is more interesting. You can try hailing a VL on National Highway and hope it goes to the right terminal or catch it to Olongapo and change. Caution. Several other operators have a color scheme that looks similar from a distance. Otherwise, catch a taxi / jeepney / trike.
I would expect all hotels and bars to be operating, with the exception of the floating bars. Things might be quietish on the visitor front but hey, better odds for you.
I like Barretto, and find it has enough bars for me, but I am not a mega-monger.
Hope you enjoy.

Thanks in advance for your reply.I was there just 3 weeks ago. Everything but the floatings bars is open so don't worry. Every bar has about 10 to 20 girls. Every bar has at least a few lookers.
There are very few Koreans so there is no danger that all the lookers are gone by 7 pm. Simply start at flash rat (the last bar at the end of town) or Score bar (in Arizona, first bar).
And work your way up or down.
There is several bus stop you can get to Olongapo (cubao, pasay.). I used Victory liner last time. Just make sure your use the express bus and take something warm with you. Last time I almost frooze to death in the bus due.
To the AC. Just google "bus manila olongapo".
The normal bus stops everywhere while the Express is via the Express way and only has one stop in Dau. Usually the normal bus leaves every 30 minutes while the express leaves every hour. But the normal bus needs about 2 hours longer.
Depending what time you leave in Manila the express needs 2-4 hours (yes, it took me 3 hours once just to get out of Manila).
From the Olongapo bus station you go to the main street leading to BB and wait for a Jeepney or use a trike (about 150 p) to your hotel.
I searched everything on google and make screenshots and saved them on my phone. That way I had all the info on hand.
BTW, I got a very strong recommendation for icoove hotel. Its only available via facebook and Email. Its brand new and only 2000 per night.

Sod's Law has struck.
I have just looked at Victory Liner's web site, and due to government departments faffing about, timetables are subject to change and you currently need to contact the company. Best of luck with that one. Hope they get it organised for my trip in 2 weeks time!

But anyway, like I said the buses to Olongapo leave roughly every hour minimum.
Starting 5 am or even earlier. Just make sure to take a normal meter taxi to the bus station if you arrive at the airport and not one of those privat cars from booth outside of the terminal.
Dont know if this one is up to date but it was about that when I was at the pasay station 5 weeks ago.

I think your best bet is to go to the bus terminal, find the bus, get on the bus. Wait until every seat is full. That's the departure time. LOL.
Also check out "Fly the Bus" and "southern cross Hotel" bus. Both will take you directly to the Barrio Barreto section of Olongapo city. You can Google search or rtff at the Angeles city thread.
As has been clarified before, Olongapo City and Subic city are both on Subic Bay. The hotel / bar section is technically in the Barrio Barreto section of Olongapo city -- not in Subic City. X.
(I'm not sure what you mean about government departments. As far as I know, the long-haul bus companies are private companies.)

I have read the AC thread, and my impression is the hotel services operate Manila- Angeles and Angeles-Olongapo as separate services. Also, comments have not been consistently positive.
I don't remember bringing Subic City into the conversation, and am aware the bar section is in Barretto, hence the suggestion regarding services to Iba and Santa Cruz. I don't remember seeing this mentioned before, nor anything about Sampaloc terminal. As I stay in Ermita, I have never seen the point of grinding through traffic in a taxi to Pasay, to grind in traffic in a bus past where I have just come from.
VL website quotes " LTFRB & DOTC & LTO Joint Administrative Order 2014-01 "as the reason for the lack of timetables.
Osuul: I don't recall the timetable being off in June, but a great tip re phbus.com. Timings are about what I remember, but the fare seems to have increased. All of 20 p. Phils is going to hell in a hand basket!
Thank you very much for your help. You are really friends, and. As soon as I will be back, I promise that I will post a little report.

As I stay in Ermita, I have never seen the point of grinding through traffic in a taxi to Pasay, to grind in traffic in a bus past where I have just come from.Your point is well taken, but for anybody traveling directly from the airport to AC or Olongapo, the grind--either on EDSA or through downtown Manila--is a given except for those arriving 9-10 pm or later at night. Thankfully, according to leaders, the elevated highway connecting the southern and northern expressways will be a reality within three years, and that will be the end of the traffic grind through Manila. Right.
Out of curiosity, doesn't this discussion relate to the Olongapo thread rather than Subic City? Barrio Barreto is in Olongapo, not Subic. From digging back into its beginning it appears this thread initially referred to the area north of Olongapo, where at one time there were apparently a number of bars. Technically, Subic is a municipality, not a city. There are hints in the first several pages of the thread that the girly bar scene in Subic, other than places catering to Filipinos, no longer amounts to much? And many early posts advised foreigners to stay out of the Filipino bars. Anybody with knowledge of the history of the place and current information care to comment?

Is it possible to take a report with quote to another thread to reply in?
Fair comment about the grind, but the point I was trying to make was that Pasay terminal is not the only option, as virtually every other post implies. AndyCap also said that HE would be in Manila for a few days, so convenience to Ermita might well be useful.
I take your comment " right " as meaning you are not optimistic. On a side note, as a Brit I am wondering who will get a new runway first. Manila or London?
Thanks for the reply S. Wit.
I had not read thoroughly into the recent conversation because of time constraints, so fired off a quick post. So, if the intent is to get skip AC and get quickly to the Subic Bay area, then I can see that Fly the Bus and S. Cross bus might not be good options.
ALthough I quoted S. Wit, my comment about the Subic City thread (this one) was directed at anyone unfamiliar with the area. Subic Bay is a generic term for the area, but Subic City is not the desired destination. Technically, it would be better that this conversation be held in the Olongapo thread. This has been a problem for a long time. Having the two threads is confusing. I wish the two threads could be merged. I guess it's unlikely someone will end up in the wrong place, but you never know. Is it possible to take a report with quote to another thread to reply in?It is possible and I could have done it, if I had thought to. Just drag and copy everything in the quote, including the two QUOTEs and the outside brackets. Move to the other thread, click on "Add Report" and then paste the quoted section into the new text box. You can trim pieces out from the chunk you paste, but make sure you leave the bracketed QUOTE chunks at both ends. It may be possible to trim before you copy from the original thread, but I have never tried.
Don't know about London, but adding another runway in Manila would require condemning a lot of private property. So it becomes a question of who owns (or squats on) the property.

Now that's a new trick you'll have to teach us AV. How do we get out of downtown Manila without going thru downtown Manila?
Enroute to AC, I think I've avoided downtown Manila only once, but in that case my "driver" was a Cebu P pilot flying out of Cebu city to Clark.

If your driver is any good at all HE / she should _NOT_ be heading down "EDSA or through downtown Manila" to get to Angeles City. AV.I guess it matters what we mean by downtown Manila. I am aware there may be four or five routes for crossing the Pasig River in the City of Manila in order to travel north through Bulacan Province. I have been with van and taxi drivers who have their favorite routes among these, but every one of them that I have been on involve lots of traffic congestion in some section or another of the City of Manila and / or Caloocan. So we could argue perhaps that Magtahan or Ayala Boulevard does not pass through "downtown" Manila, but even these two pass through congested areas on one or both sides of the Pasig River. No driver yet has shown me a quick, congestion-free route through the City of Manila. If your driver has some trade secret route, please consider sharing it with your brothers here, so we can try to convince our taxi drivers to use it. There's really not enough of us to add up to more congestion for your travel through the metropolis.

Don't know about London, but adding another runway in Manila would require condemning a lot of private property. So it becomes a question of who owns (or squats on) the property. Not forgetting that for every legal action taken, including by the government, then theres the omnipresent TRO which restricts any action till the legals are sorted, and that takes forever. If the government said it wanted a new runway today, my guess is it wouldn't be operational for the next 15-20 years.

Day 47 Monday April 14,2014 Subic Day 1:
After breakfast I packed my bags which amounted to throwing my dirty clothes in a large lawn trash bag and stuffing the trash bag into my suitcase. Then I checked out of the LGH and caught the Subic Super Shuttle (S3) operated by the Dryden Group at 10 am.
http://www.drydensubic.com/transport.php
You must book in advance to ensure seating, but on this trip there were only two other passengers. A one way trip costs 650 p and without a doubt this is the best, easiest, comfortable way to travel back and forth from AC to Subic. I just wish the Dryden Group offered a super shuttle service from Subic to Manila because on Saturday I had to hire a Wild Orchid Hotel driver for the Makati run and it was EXPENSIVE.
The ride to Subic was uneventful, but I enjoyed the country scenery and the company. It began to rain as we arrived in Olongapo. The driver stopped at the Arizona Hotel and let out the other guys. Then HE drove me to the Wild Orchid. I gave him a 100 p tip.
I had reserved a beach front room at the Wild Orchid like last year, but I asked the friendly registration girl if there was a pool side room available. I wanted to try a pool side room just for the heck of it. She said there was one available for two days and I could have it, but then on Wednesday I would have to move to the beach front room. I accepted her proposal and we continued with the check in.
Afterwards I relaxed by the pool and went for a swim. I like this hotel. It is very comfortable and friendly. It is probably the best hotel in the Barrio Barretto Baloy Beach area. While its standards are not quite up to the LGH in AC, it is still very nice if not a little pricey. But you get what you pay for with large rooms, a very nice pool (actually two pools), a quality beach front restaurant, and a prime location on Baloy Beach.
Later in the afternoon I took a trike (70 p) up to Barrio Barretto's main drag, the National Highway to store up on some provisions and walk around a little. All the bars are located on this strip of highway.
Back at Baloy Beach I had a late afternoon drink at the Blue Rock Floating Bar. I met a cute, young, bar girl there and I bought her a drink. She was charming and said she was new on the job. She appeared to me to be an amateur just beginning to learn the ropes. I was tempted to ask her out, but decided against it not knowing if she would accept my invitation or not. I also knew I had 5 days to romance her if that was really what I wanted to do. Anyway I hung out at the bar and enjoyed the company of this petite little girl (aw shucks, we held hands) and the ambiance of the place. You got to love the ocean.
I left the bar as the sun began to go down and relaxed a little while on my room's patio in front of the pool. I had a great Blue Fin Tuna steak for dinner at Captain Rob's Barefoot BBQ Restaurant. Then at around 9 pm I headed over to Barrio Barretto. My 1st stop was Wet Spot. Last year I saw many sexy girls in here. Not so this year. There were only 5 girls on stage and a handful of customers. What's up with that? I thought. The music was pretty good though so I stuck around and had yes; a coke light!
The girls were all friendly, but no Stunners in sight on this particular night. So I headed over to Lollipop. Things were better here than at Wet Spot although I noticed that some of the bar's super stars were absent. I ordered a coke light and checked out the scene. There were maybe 20 girls dancing and hanging around and I noticed a couple of sexy potential barfines. At least here, all the girls were animated and seemed to be having a good time while dancing on stage. The music was good too. There were also a fair number of customers who appeared to be having a good time and interacting with the girls. So not too much change at Lollipop from last year, but some. This is one of the best bars in Subic IMHO, but what a shame they were missing a few of their star girls. Hum! Could it be Easter Week was taking its toll on bar girls?
In any case, I narrowed my selection down to two or three girls. One of the girls was pretty and kept giving me a sexy smile, but her legs were a little too thick for my refined tastes, LOL. Another dark skinned little spinner with a very short hair style intrigued me. And then there was this thin little Chinese / Filipina looking girl that I liked too. Over time I found myself repeatedly looking at the Chinese / Filipina girl. I knew she was aware of my glances, but she seemed very shy about it. I stuck around for 40 minutes or so and still hadn't made up my mind about which girl to pick, so I decided to head over to Voodoo, where I had some real good times with two very sexy girls in 2013.
I was expecting to see a party going on here in Voodoo like last year, so I was really surprised to find the place dead. It was dismal with 4 or 5 plain girls barely dancing on the stage and maybe 4 or 5 additional girls hanging around. Plus there were only 3 or 4 customers. Several waitresses and two bar girls mobbed me as I walked in. I was polite and even ordered a coke light, but I knew this bar had no potential for me on this night. Where were my two honeys from last year? I knew the mama and asked her. She said my two girls where with their families back in the provinces until next week. So it was Easter Week that was plaguing the bar scene here. Go figure. I was here last year around the same time, but five days earlier in respect to Easter 2013 and that apparently made a big difference. The mama called a few girls over and tried to give me a back massage. I politely told her to stop and tried to remain cheerful and upbeat for the sake of the girls sitting at my table. I left the bar a short time later.
Instead of heading over to Alaska or Flash Rat and trying out a another bar, I decided to head back to Lollipop. At least there were still plenty of decent girls dancing about and a pretty good customer base at Lollipop. As soon as I saw the Chinese / Filipina looking girl again, I knew she was the one or at least the one I was going to ask over for a drink. So I went over to T and said Hi and asked her if she wanted a drink. She smiled and joined me at my table. We made bar talk and introduced ourselves. I told her I thought she was very pretty and that I had noticed her as soon as I had entered the bar. She said she saw me smiling at her, but she was too shy to smile back. She told me she was 20 years old that she had only started working at Lollipop 3 weeks ago.
I held her hands and they were very cold. She said she was cold due to the air conditioner. I told her I would try to warm her up. We seemed to be getting along ok so I suggested some Tequila knowing nothing warms up a shy bar girl better than a couple shots of Tequila. She acted a little surprised and happy that I had made this suggestion. Apparently she had not had many customers pay attention to her since she had started working. I don't know why? I found her very cute. I guess it was her shy demeanor. We made a toast and downed our Tequila shots. And so the night began in earnest.
A little while later I ordered a second round and the waitress smiled and joked that little T finally had a customer. LOL. After the 2nd shot I kissed T and she responded well, but I was feeling too exposed in front of the stage and too close to customers to do my thing, so I suggested we move to the back of the bar for more privacy. T found a table in a back corner and the location was more to my liking and we still had a good view of the stage. T's friend came by and T introduced her friend Marie to me. I then ordered 3rd round of Tequila for the three of us.
After that T and I got romantic and started making out. She gave me her tongue and I sucked on it a while. I palmed her small, but attractive breasts. At one point Marie suggested a body shot. I looked at T and asked if she was up for it as I kind of doubted T with her shyness would be into it. But she said she was and I ordered a 4th round. I love Tequila and bar girls. What a combination. When the Tequila arrived, I noticed the waitress had made a switch and gave T the bigger shot glass and we joked about it. Then there was some confusion on T's part because she thought she was going to lick the Tequila off my nipples not the other way around. When I explained to her what a body shot was really all about, her shyness kicked in again. LOL. I whispered in her ear that she did not have to do it if she was uncomfortable. So we just made another toast and kicked back the 4th shot.
After my gallantry, T became very warm and loving towards me and I asked her if she wanted me to barfine her. She said yes. She also said I was only her 2nd barfine since she came to work here and that the other customer had merely taken her out to dinner. No sex. T also started giving me the Filipina "I am a good girl. Can you respect me if I work in a bar?" routine. God I love "innocent" fresh Filipina bar girls. I told her I was in the bar too so if she could respect me than I could respect her. I also threw in the line about the only thing that mattered to me was if a girl had a good heart. Anyway we engaged in a lot of this Tequila love talk as the liquor kicked in and I barfined or rather EWR'd T. In Subic, the EWR is alive and well. It is universally 1500 p, no matter the bar, and you pay in advance. All the girls on the stage applauded and cheered as we made our way to the door and I took T back to the Wild Orchid.
T was very impressed with the Wild Orchard and kept saying how clean the room was, how clean the bathroom was, how clean the pool was, ect. I asked her if she wanted a drink. She thought I meant going to the hotel bar or something. She was completely surprised when I opened the drawer of a cabinet and showed her the wet bar / refrigerator. She had never seen such an innovation. I turned on the TV and asked her what she liked to watch. She said she liked cartoons, naturally. So we sat on the bed watching Philippine TV and snuggling up close. We started to seriously kiss and suck tongue. Then I popped her small breasts out of her dress and they looked great. I started kissing her nipples and she encouraged me to take her entire breast into my mouth. That was a first for me I think. So there I was lying on top of little T with her entire breast in my mouth. After a while I got the hang of it and started tonging her nipple too while her entire breast was still enveloped in my mouth. She really liked this action and encouraged me to do the same thing to her other breast. Then I removed her dress entirely. She was not wearing a bra. She did not need too. I took off my T shirt and then let her feel my hard on. She smiled and said it was so big LOL. Then she took it out and started playing around with it. I took off my pants and we were both naked on the bed. Next, T wanted to take a shower solo (so sad), but I didn't care. I was really looking forward to shagging this delightful little girl. I knew it was going to be good. After we both showered we got back down to business. T smoked me tentatively at first, and then as she got used to it, she took most of my dick into her mouth.
She came up for air and gave me a naughty look. Then she slowly impaled herself on my dick. Her pussy felt warm and snug. Her thin little body was great too. She did not have any stretch marks from the birth of her little girl. I palmed her small round breasts. After a while I picked her up and placed her gently on her back. I then finished her off in mish while again taking her entire breast, one at a time into my mouth. Afterwards we held each other tight.
After we cleaned up and were relaxing on the bed, T asked if it was all right if she could leave around 5 am. I said sure. I never like to keep a girl any longer than she wants to stay. But I really liked this little girl. She reminded me of Edy, my little honey from OEW, back in 2013. T and I made plans to meet again tomorrow night at Lollipops. I invited T for a midnight swim tomorrow night and she was intrigued by the idea. I was glad I had taken a poolside room, if only for two nights.
So all in all it turned out to be a really good first night back in Subic. There is something about Subic girls that I really like. They are really nice simple girls and very sexy. If you are nice to them, they will give you plenty of the GFE back. I fell asleep with T wrapped around me. We both woke up around 8:30 am. T had overslept. We then had nice morning shag. Then we showered together and I body massaged her and played around with her soapy pussy.
We exchanged cell numbers and before we left my room I conspicuously placed a 300 p tip in T's purse. She asked again about tonight and I told her I would text her later and come by her bar around 8:30 to 9 pm. Then I took her to breakfast at the Wild Orchard beach annex restaurant. She had a mango smoothie and I had coffee, OJ, and scrambled eggs. T gobbled up a few spoonfuls of my eggs. After breakfast, I walked her to a waiting trike. She turned and waived until the trike rounded the bend and she was out of sight.

I'm not sure Fenimore Cooper would approve of your change in appearance or the new spelling of your last name. Fortunately, the little Chinay seems okay with it all.

I'm not sure Fenimore Cooper would approve of your change in appearance or the new spelling of your last name. Fortunately, the little Chinay seems okay with it all.Skip, I see you are a well read and erudite punter. I read James Fenimore Cooper's Leatherstocking Novels a long time ago in college. The Natty Bumppo character always stuck with me, but who could remember it is spelled with two "P's" and not one. I wish I could make the correction to my ISG handle, but I don't know how.
And yes my appearance has changed a little over time. When I punted almost exclusively in Central and South America I looked more like Lex Barker in the Deerslayer. After I started hanging out in SE Asia for a while I began to look more like Marcello Mastroianni in La Dolce Vita. Interestingly Lex Barker had a small role in La Dolce Vita as Anita Ekberg's jeolous American husband who smacks Marcello around for being out all night with his wife. La Dolce Vita is one of the greatest movies ever made and a personal favorite of mine. I think it had an influence on my life.

Day 48 Tuesday April 15,2014 Subic Day 2:
After T left I relaxed and enjoyed the rest of the day doing the usual resort stuff. I walked the beach and then I lounged around the swimming pool for a few hours. I flirted with a couple of attractive Filipinas who were also hanging out by the pool. I looked over some emails on the computer before having lunch, again by the pool. In the afternoon I took a trike back to Barrio Barretto and stocked up on some necessary provisions. Then back at the ranch, I cooled out in the late afternoon on the Blue Rock Floating Bar. My pretty little hostess girl from the day before was occupied with a new customer. I sat down at the bar and ordered a coke light and met the manager. He seemed like a nice guy. Another gringo was demonstrating the use of his Fly Board PWC Jet Skis. He was pretty good at it and made it look easy. I thought the skis were pretty cool, but there is no way I was going to take a swim in this polluted water.
I glanced over at my little hostess girl. She saw me and smiled, but her customer ordered another round of drinks and I could see she was going to be busy for a while. What a waste because I saw no interaction between them. None! When I was with her, we flirted, and held hands, yada yada. The drinks were a minor thing. Having a good time, enjoying the company of the little darling, and seeing where it might possibly go was the main thing. Anyway she got up and walked around the bar the long way to come over and say Hi. Then she had to go back to her customer. I didn't care; it was all part of relaxing and hanging out on Baloy Beach waiting for the sun to go down.
I received a text from T asking what I was doing. I texted her back and told her I was hanging out at the Blue Rock Floating Bar. She asked if I was coming by Lollipops later tonight and I told her I would come by around 9 pm.
Around 8:30 pm I walked into Alaska Bar and I was mobbed. There were at least 20 girls dancing and shuffling on the stage and I was the only customer. It was too much for me. I didn't even get a good opportunity to size up the talent. I apologized to the girls on stage and told them I would come back a little later. They were visibly disappointed and a couple of girls implored me to stay, but I beat a hasty retreat.
Next, I went back to Wet Spot hoping against all hope that a few of their stars would be there. But no, it was the same handful of girls as the first night. A couple of the girls looked pretty good though. I sat down at a table and ordered a coke light. An early 30 something girl (not a dancer) came over. I think her name was Dory. She put her arms around me. Despite her age she had a tight body and was pretty good looking, so I let her stay and we struck up a conversation. She told me a lot of girls had gone home to be with their families over Easter Holy Week. I hadn't anticipated this mass exodus when I scheduled my visit to Subic because last year I remembered the number and quality of girls was very good. The only difference was last year I arrived 5 days earlier in relation to Easter than this year. So apparently the timing really mattered.
Anyway I liked Dory a lot. She had a head on her shoulders and we had an interesting conversation. If I hadn't made a date with T for tonight, I think I would have asked Dory out. I did ask Dory if she wanted something to drink and she smiled and said she wanted a San Miguel, so I ordered a round of beers for us. I asked Dory if there was going to be a Sons of Bacchus (SOB) dance contest this Friday and she left to find out. She came back shortly and informed me that the next one was going to be held at Rapscallions not this Friday, but the next Friday. Damn! I really wanted to go to one of these parties. Anyway, I reluctantly said goodbye to Dory after we finished our beers and I told her I hoped I would see her around. She smiled and gave me a kiss.
I walked next door into Lollipop. As soon as I entered through the door, I was immediately treated like a Roman conquering hero. A big cheer went up from all the girls on stage and two waitresses grabbed me and escorted me past the pool table and the stage to the seats in the back where T was waiting for me all dolled up. She greeted me with a big smile. We said our hellos and she kissed me. Then we sat down and I ordered a round of Tequila. We made a toast and tossed back the first shots. I immediately ordered a 2nd round. Then I put my arm around T and held her tight. I watched the girls on stage and couldn't help noticing that their numbers were way, way down from last night. I asked T about it and she said a lot of girls were not coming in tonight. Still there were enough customers so the place did not feel empty like Alaska Bar, but it was a long way from a full house.
Early this morning I had promised to take T out for dinner tonight. I now asked her if she was hungry. She said she was and asked if we could order dinner here from the Dryden Deli. I said sure. The Dryden Deli is right next door and it is a surprisingly good restaurant. I especially like their pizza. So one of the waitresses went to get a menu. After looking it over T said she wanted chicken wings and I decided on the sliders. T leaned over and whispered in my ear asking if it was all right with me if she ordered the large 16 piece chicken wing dinner instead of the 8 piece. I instantly knew she wanted to share the wealth, my largess LOL, with her girlfriends in the bar, so I said sure. In no time our order arrived and T immediately started handing out wings to her hungry friends. At least 8 girls crowded around us. T only ate 3 wings herself and she hand fed 2 wings to me. I could only eat 2 sliders and I offered the 3rd slider to the fat, but friendly waitress who had ushered me over to T when I first arrived. Everybody was happy and very grateful for the chicken. I knew from all the smiling faces and thank you's that I had generated some real good will in this bar. That is one of the things I like so much about Subic. It is so easy to make friends here.
After dinner I ordered another round of Tequila for us. I could see it was starting to have the desired effect on T. We stuck around to watch the girls dance and I flirted with a few girls who now were acting very friendly towards me. Before we left, I ordered one more round of Tequila and then we took a trike back to the Wild Orchid.
Last night T had marveled over the swimming pool and I had invited her to take a late night swim tonight. She had not forgotten the invitation and she asked if we could go swimming. Then she looked at me with her trusting little eyes to remind me that she could not swim. I told her not to worry. I would take very good care of her. The only glitch was that T did not have a swim suit, but that was not a big problem because there were two little tiendas that sold bikinis on the sandy beach road that separated the formal grounds of Wild Orchid and the Beach Front Wild Orchid property. So with only a minimum amount of, "please Mak, I want to go swimming," we went out to buy T a bikini. She picked a pretty stripped one. All the suits were one size fits all and the woman at the shop guaranteed me that it would fit little T just right. The price was 500 p. We went back to my room and changed into our suits. Needless to say, T looked really great in her new bikini. She possessed an absolutely no body fat spinner body and the suit fit her perfectly.
I got into the pool first. The water came up to my chest. Next T got into the water and held onto me. I waltzed her around the pool with her hanging on tight. We were the only people around. Naturally, I got a boner and I let T know about it. She reached out and massaged it under my suit. We continued to play around in the pool and had a really good time, but after 20 minutes of so, it began to feel cold. T started to get goose bumps all over and I suggested we go back to the room to dry off and warm up.
Back in the room, I turned on the TV and lowered the lights. We got into bed and cozied up as we watched TV. No shower tonight. We made out now and then and I started playing with her little breasts. Then I sucked on them whole again like last night. T gave me a short little hand job, but soon she flashed a naughty little smile right before she went downtown and smoked me. When she came back up she got on top and we shagged. I loved palming this petite girl's small breasts while she was riding me cowgirl. After a while though I picked little T up and gently placed her on her back where I finished her off in mish. Afterwards we just laid together holding each other and occasionally kissing.
T then started to tell me her life story as most Pinays I have known get around to doing sooner or later. The story is always pretty much the same. She was in love and believed her boyfriend really loved her too. She got pregnant and then he left her in the lurch. T said she was 18 when all this happened. I listened and consoled from time to time and then for my kindness and attentiveness she showered me with kisses and affection. This of course led to our 2nd shag of the night.
T woke up early around 6 am and said she had to go. We made tentative plans to see each other in the afternoon and go swimming. I texted her around noon, but then I forgot my phone in the room and did not hear from her until later. When I did hear from her she said she had something important to do, I forgot what, and she could not see me tonight. That was ok with me. I had an ace in the hole.

Day 49 Wednesday April 16,2014 Subic Day 3:
I went back to sleep after T left and woke up around 10 am. I had another great breakfast by the pool consisting of a cheese omelet, crispy bacon, wheat toast, and fresh OJ. I don't eat like this back at home, but when I am on holiday I like to indulge.
The Wi-Fi in my room was lousy so after breakfast I brought my laptop to the lobby and found a quiet out of the way place to read my e-mails.
Today was moving day. I threw all my dirty stuff in a lawn trash bag and stuffed it into my suitcase. Then I informed the front desk I was ready to move. They sent a bell boy by with a key to my beachfront room and he rolled my suitcase over to the Beach Annex. I liked my poolside room at the Wild Orchid. Having a private patio steps away from the pool was real nice. T and I had a good time waltzing around the pool last night. But the beach front rooms are equally good. A large green lawn extends from each beach front room's patio to the end of the property line at the beach. The view is very good and it is calming and relaxing to have the lawn buffer zone from the beach proper. Captain Robb's Barefoot bar and restaurant is right there at the south end of the property so everything is very convenient at the beach annex. The Wi-Fi is nonexistent and I always walked over to the hotel lobby in the main building for a decent connection.
After I moved I went back into resort mode. I took a walk along the beach and enjoyed watching the local scene play out. Then I went swimming at the pool and caught some rays. Later I went to town, strolled around, and stocked up on some more bottled water and cokes.
I heard from T later in the afternoon. She said she couldn't see me tonight because she was doing something. This was fine with me because it saved me the trouble of coming up with an excuse of my own. Although I really liked T, I did not want to spend my entire time in Subic with her. I had something else in mind. There was another little girl, J, who I met last year at Rum Jungle that I was planning to see again all along. J gave me one of the best GFE's last year including a tearful farewell. Ah Yi Yi! But she really was a sweet 25 year old girl next door type and a little tigress in bed. Of all the girls I stayed in contact with over the last year while I was home, J was the most regular correspondent. Nearly every fortnight she would send me detailed emails with pictures of herself, her daughter, and her friends. She kept me informed on what was going on in Subic and she would always tell me how much she missed me, yada yada yada. Then she would close her emails with "when are you coming back to see me. " I told her I would see her in April, but I left the exact date out because I wanted to be on my own for a couple of days and meet some new girls before I hooked up with her. I was in Macau when I received her last email. I told her where I was having a good time, and that I would see her soon.
So tonight, my third night in Subic, I went straight to Rum Jungle. I wanted to surprise J so I did not call her to let her know I was in town and coming by. Rum Jungle is a popular bar, but it was kind of quiet when I arrived. There were a number of customers, many looked like local ex pats, but no girls were dancing on stage. I looked around for J and did not see her. May, one of her friends spotted me and gave me a big Hello,. Then she grabbed my hand and led to the back where J was sitting. J flashed a demure smile at me and came up and hugged me. It was a warm welcome. We sat down and held hands. Pretty soon J was sitting on my lap purring like a kitten. I ordered a round of Tequila for the three of us including the girlfriend. J wanted to know where I had been since I left Macau 5 days ago. I told her I spent a few days in AC and she was curious to know what I was doing there. Ha Ha. I said I was good boy and that was the end of it. Some other girls came by to welcome me back. A waitress came over and I was about to order a 2nd round when May asked if I wanted to see her and J do BJ's. I had no idea what she meant, but I said ok. So the order was changed to one Tequila and two white Russian type drinks. When the drinks arrived the girls picked them up solely with their mouths over the entire lip of the glass, leaned back, and swallowed the whole drink. The performance didn't do much for me, I would rather lick Tequila off a girl's breasts, but the girls were very pleased to be able to demonstrate their ability. And I was happy they were happy.
I asked J if she was hungry and she said a little so I paid the tab including her EWR and we walked over to Sit-and-Bull, a local hang out. J ordered chicken adobo with rice and I ordered a cheeseburger. To be honest, the food is better over at Captain Robbs, but the atmosphere at Sit-and-Bull makes it a must visit while in town. J spoon fed me some of her adobo. It was good and I gave her some of my fries.
After dinner we barhopped a little. First we had a drink at Rapscallion, the bar upstairs over Rum Jungle and then we had two shots of Tequila over at Alaska bar. I strongly recommend both bars. Usually both bars are stacked with friendly good looking girls and a few stars. As I commented earlier, many girls including most of Barrio Baretto's stars had left Subic to spend time with their families during Easter holy week. So the quantity and quality of the remaining girls I saw still in the bars were an anomaly, or the tip of the iceberg of what is usually available. I still managed to be with great girls and have a real good time so I am not complaining. But the next time I visit here, I will give holy week a big miss. Tip: avoid AC & Subic during Easter week, avoid Thailand during Songkran, and avoid Jakarta during Ramadan. Why limit your selection?
We took a trike back to the Wild Orchid. It was really like old times once we were back in my room. J and I immediately started making out. I broke away and told J I had brought her a present from America. I knew J really likes sunglasses. She always wears a different pair whenever I see her during the day. One day I was fooling around on E Bay and made a bid for a pair of brand new Maui Jim Baby Beach sunglasses. The list price for these babies is $300. I got lucky and put in the winning bid for $87. I took her present out of my suitcase still in the original box with the case and tags. J was overwhelmed. I could tell I really done right with this gift. She showered me with more kisses and hugs. Then she tried them on and they looked great on her face. She asked how I knew she liked sunglasses? I told her I just knew. Then I put my Maui Jim Pilot sunglasses on and we smiled at each other in the mirror. J asked if they were expensive and I said very expensive.
We made out some more on the bed and then it was soapy shower time. I massaged her breasts and then I massaged her little pussy while she cleaned my dick and balls. Our reunion sex was very good. J is a very passionate girl and she really enjoys shagging. She smoked me with tender loving care and then she went straight into cowgirl. After a while I sat up so we could do it in the sitting position and I could see myself going in and out of her pussy. Then I finished her off in mish. Afterwards we snuggled for a long time before taking a shower to clean up.
We watched a movie on TV and the snuggling continued. I got hard and J went down on me. Then she impaled herself on my dick again and we did another round of cowgirl, then reverse cowgirl, and finally doggie. I lasted a long time and we were both too exhausted to shower again afterwards. I fell asleep with J's body wrapped around mine.
We did not wake up until after 10 am. That is pretty late for me. LOL. J initiated another round by kissing my face all over and shaking hands with my dick under the sheets. This time we started off in a sideways position with her right leg lifted over my thigh. Then I rolled her over onto her back and finished her off in mish. This 3rd shag was not as passionate as the first or as wild as the 2nd, but it was pretty good.
We showered together and I invited J to breakfast at Captain Robbs right in front of the beach. She had a mango smoothie and scrambled eggs with sinangag. I had the full works; coffee, toast, scrambled eggs, tocino, and sinangag. J was very demure during breakfast. We held hands and looked out at the bay. I invited her to come back for a swim around 2 pm this afternoon. She asked if she could bring a friend and I said sure. Then I escorted her to the trike stand in front of the Blue Rock. J turned and waived as the trike went around the bend.

Day 50 Thursday April 17,2014 Subic Day 4:
Around 2 pm J and May came by for a swim. We had the pool all to ourselves. Surprisingly J can swim quite well and she was diving into the water and splashing around while little May clung to me for dear life. It was a good time and we capped it off with a round of Mango smoothies.
Later in the afternoon, we walked up and down Baloy Beach and ended up at the Blue Rock for a late afternoon San Miguel. May asked if she could have a bag of Doritos and I had to laugh thinking of the kind of junk food diet Pinays live on. I told her I didn't want the Doritos to spoil her appetite and she assured me they wouldn't, so I bought her a bag of chips. Around 6 pm I said goodbye to the girls and told J I would stop by Rum Jungle around 9 pm. Then I just relaxed by myself at the Wild Orchid.
There is not too much new stuff to report about the night except that I had a good time with J and her friends in Rum Jungle. The bare essentials were I walked into Rum Jungle around 9:15. All of J's friends were there. We had a few rounds of Tequila shots and we fooled around. Unlike AC, Subic bars allow photography so I think I will let some of my photos do most of the reporting.
At some point I asked J if she was hungry. She said she was. I hadn't eaten since breakfast so we took a trike back to Baloy Beach and went to the Blue Rock Restaurant. This place is very similar to Captain Robs. The fresh grilled seafood is high quality, but this is the PI, so they mess it up with a serve yourself buffet of cafeteria quality sides like baked potatoes, macaroni salad, and canned steamed vegetables. Amazing! But the grilled Blue Fin Tuna steaks are high sushi quality and mouthwatering! J ordered a Filipino chicken and rice dish. I ordered the tuna steak. We were both happy with our choices. After dinner we had a SML on the Blue Rock floating bar.
Then we went back to my room and had another intimate little boom boom session.
Afterwards we watched "Zombieland" on TV. For some reason I really like this movie (Bill Murray & Emma Stone) and J had never seen it. She likes zombie movies and showed me her scary zombie face. I had to laugh, then I ran out of the room to the barefoot bar, which was not 100 paces from my room, for 2 more SML's. We snuggled up after the movie was over and fell asleep in each other's arms. It was another good day by the sea.
