Most hotel in Bangkok have refrigerators some low end 2 star may not, I like to freeze my bottle water to ice cold so frig is a must for me don't know your budget of to Agoda or booking I have stay in many hotel near Nana many hotel 1400 bht and up a night with frig and just about all hotel in Pattaya got it April suite stay there in may have a large size refrigerator and large room.
Fast Eddie 48.Thank you brother, I now see my original question was dumb and that just about all the hotels have refrigerators in the rooms. Now I am looking at apartotels with mini kitchens as well. In Pattaya, looking at NN Apartment, The Monaco Residence Pattaya and The Residence Garden for apartotels. And I can't believe that they are not guest friendly. The hotel websites are showing me a ton of choices, I'm looking at about a 1000 baht, or less, per night for most low end hotels / apartotels. Thank all of you for suffering my dumb questions, this will be my first trip to Thailand after decades of visiting central and south america. Just for a comparison, in Medellin there are low end hotels for around $10 a night and you can meet chicas in the park for around the same cost, $10. The local Casas start at around $15 for a chica's company.
I was thinking of having Rita over but not sure if it's like some of the hotels in Pataya where it's 20+.

Are you finding deals for T21's Grand Centrepoint on the hotel website? Or do you find the best deals on Agoda or Booking.com?I generally find the best deals on the hotel website that are better than Agoda and booking. For t21, less than 100 USD is uncommon, I think they had some sort of special early December last year. Just be careful when navigating their website, it is easy to navigate over to the other centrepoints in BKK.

In some hotels, I ask them to clear the fridge while checkinn, when I plan to stay longer, say for a couple of weeks.

Booked mid October for 4 nights, $33 a night all in. Private bath, refrigerator and balcony. About 6 blocks to Soi Cowboy and about 12 blocks to Nana Station. Somebody asked if I expected to meet any "nice" girls to which I ventured that I would sooner find a cloudless summer day than a maidenhead on Soi Cowboy. Will report back on hotel experience and policies.

Have booked Galleria 10 Sukhumvit for later this month. This is not the first time I have stayed there but I thought I'd share my experiences in case anyone is looking for a decent place to stay.
In terms of price it is around $65 a night which isn't exactly on the cheaper side of things, but it is a very clean hotel. The rooms are very comfortable the toilets are clean and modern, and the beds are super comfy, and of course most importantly it is guest-friendly.
The very first time I stayed there a couple of years ago, it did not occur to me to think if this would be a guest-friendly hotel when I made the booking, and it was only until I saw guys bringing home their "dates" that I realized it was. The staff don't seem to make it requirement for your guests to sign in and leave their ID behind. The only time it happened was the first time I brought a girl back and I thought it was procedure and went to the reception to ask, but subsequent times I have walked in with my dates without any question. There are pros and cons for this, one of which I suppose for safety purposes you probably should get them to sign in in case anything happens, like you get robbed or drugged. But if you want to be more discreet than it seems like the staff there don't really ask questions.
The only problem with this hotel is that it is tucked quite far into the alley which means that you will have to walk a bit to get to the main road. However it is pretty close to both Soi Cowboy and Nana. Once you hit the main road you got the option of turning left to walk to Nana and the BTS, or turn right and walk to Soi Cowboy and subsequently Terminal 21. It is also close to Som's Haven for those who don't want to walk too far for a bit of "relief".
I stayed there for 3 nights. Well maintained hotel and vary nicely kept rooms. Hotel is not very big and do not have pool. It is in Soi 15 just ahead Dream Hotel and in no noise area. Yes it is guest friendly with big size rooms.

One other thing to watch out for is if it is raining and you are out at night. The entranceway can be slippery and difficult to see. It's a very dark hotel.

Gosh I remember coming back once super wasted and the lights on the staircase did not help one bit! Feels like it's definitely there for show, not so much function, heh.

I was thinking of having Rita over but not sure if it's like some of the hotels in Pataya where it's 20+.Stayed at Landmark for past 15 years or so, make it clear from the outset you will not lodge ID at the desk at anytime, make it a human rights thing for the girls, and no one will bother you. I once pulled up a night manager and embarrassed the hell out of him by telling he was not game to ask the white hookers who were working the downstairs bar so he should not do that to thai people either. He never stopped me again.
Looking on some websites for rooms in Bangkok and Pattaya that have refrigerators. Looking at rooms near Nana Station for Bangkok. Nice to have a refrigerator to keep a few cold drinks / water in the room.
Any suggestions? Thank you.Can recommend Adelphi suites in Soi 8, Sukhumvit. Good and definetly GF.
to which I ventured that I would sooner find a cloudless summer day than a maidenhead on Soi Cowboy. Fortunately you won't find either of those.
I can't imagine why Fast Eddie stayed there. Perhaps to visit Soapies Meree and Evita. LOL. Possibly the only useful things in walking distance. I also had one friend stay there, who mentioned not exactly convenient, to put it mildly. You will need a lot of motorbike rides. I often stay in very cheap hotels in order to take a regular girl for LT, but not in that weird location. I stay very close to where the girl lives.
Hi guys,
First timer to Bangkok and we are looking for a 2 bedroom apartment near Nana Plaza. Budget of about 3500 TBH per night. Full security preferred. Any and all suggestions appreciated.
Thanks Rob.
I don't believe I've ever read a report about this Mercure. I recently completed a stay here and can say this is a very good hotel in a great location. I paid B2350 during the week and B2550 on weekends booked through the Mercure website. I have only stayed at Accor hotels once or twice but was immediately upgraded to a larger room. This is the old President Palace but rebranded to Accor. The Mercure is newly renovated and very modern. This is basically a brand new hotel. Of course girl friendly as well. Girl's ID's are not checked unless you make a request. The front desk is out of view from the elevators going to the room. There is good but not great breakfast buffet available. I found it is slightly cheaper to book the room without breakfast and pay for the breakfast separately. Buffet cost is about 295 baht. The Aussie bar across the street has a nice breakfast for about 220 baht. This hotel is not cheap but I wanted to spend less than B3000 nightly for a room. This is good value for this price point. Service is good but not quite 5 star. Rooms are 5 star in IMHO. The hotel provides 2 free bottles of water, 2 toothbrushes, and a razor daily. Mercure Soi 11 is highly recommended for those of us desiring modern rooms on my favorite Bangkok soi.

Did it need renovating after open such a short time? I recall seeing it being built, I thought.

I recall seeing it being built, I thought.I have often wondered that myself. The Pres Palace was a fairly new hotel when it shut down. The Grand President next door was owned by the same people at the time but it was kept open. The Palace was new and The President was old and rundown yet they chose to keep the President open not the Palace. I'm sure it has something to do with partnerships and finance. Perhaps the financing on the Palace made it too costly to operate and make a profit. For sure money was the problem.

No need to full prepay for accommodations in Bangkok. If you don't end up liking the place you choose just find another when you are in country.

By the way, has anyone have any experience bringing girls back to hotels like Hua Chang or W Bangkok?
Tried searching online and found some websites that lists guest-friendly hotels, but neither hotel is mentioned, just wondering if that's a "no" to bringing guests back, or if no one's really explored it yet.

You might pay a little more but no one will ever question you, except security if the lady looks like a WG. I have stayed in many hotels in Bkk with my GF from the south and security never asks. Funny how they can tell the status by just looking at the lady.

So that could be a risk. Ask booking.com if they are girl friendly. I have occasionally run into a family hotel in the past e. G. Bangkok Palace at Makasan.

RL.Cheers, that's what I usually do just to be safe. Do Bangkok hotels charge more for a two-person room? I know in Japan it actually makes a difference, but in Bangkok I've never actually seen differing prices for one person or two person. Once in Japan the hotel receptionist apologized to me that I had booked a two-person room when it was only me, and that they could not refund me the difference.

Do Bangkok hotels charge more for a two-person room? No they don't. Unless maybe when the hotel has single occupancy rooms too (with single beds).

It obviously costs the hotel more to stuff 2 faces instead of 1.

You can clearly see that most hotels charge a higher rate for a buffet breakfast. But I still always book for 2. Small money to save face in case they stop you when you have a guest.

Is the Muse Langsaun girl friendly. What about the walk of shame? Which are the best 5 star hotels where one can avoid going through lobby and also preferably the ones where you don't have to come down to fetch your prize.

Tried searching online and found some websites that lists guest-friendly hotels, but neither hotel is mentioned, just wondering if that's a "no" to bringing guests back, or if no one's really explored it yet.I don't have any information about this except to note the W only opened about four and a half years ago and some of the lists of guest-friendly hotels on the web tend to be based on surveys or information from years ago, maybe even before the W opened and established itself. Most, if not all, of the Starwood Hotels in Bangkok of which W is a member are guest friendly but there is no guarantee. You might want to shoot them an email and ask the question (it is one I am sure they have answered before so no need to be shy about it).
By the way, I would expect the hotel itself would be much better able to answer this question than a booking company, which likely does not track which hotels are guest-friendly and which are not.

I have stayed many Hotels in Sathorn and never had a problem, even if Hotel says late night visitors not welcome. My tactic when checking in is to say that my girlfriend will arrive much later.
I suspect I have avoided problems even when Hotel official policy maybe different. Maybe it is just I am not changing girls all the time and behave like she is my GF.
In Thailand rules are made to be broken. It's extremely rare to encounter a problem, however I do recall at Baiyoke Suites, having a problem, where security staff, wanted me to pay a joiner or pay a kickback to them to avoid the official one. Many years ago. So I keep the option open to check in a "girlfriend" some time later on, just in case, and very rarely have to use it. Once any problem occurs, it's time to shift Hotels.
Hotel Solo on Suk Soi 2 said my girl was too young to be allowed as a visitor (at 19) but did allow me to check her in as an official person staying in the room. About 4 or 5 years ago. Go figure! Silly rules. Otherwise I would have cancelled my stay at the Hotel immediately. No one should support Hotels that want joiner fees, when already booked for 2 persons. Does it actually happen? I don't know.
Some Hotels have ways to enter without going past the check in desk, but it is harder to avoid security. Once or twice I have been questioned at Hotel security when entering with my GF who was already checked in. Probably was Intra Regent and Rembrandt from memory. Probably because GF was 20 years younger.
The Pullman (ex Grand Millenium) was a hotel where could the back way and not pass the check in desk or any security to speak of. Probably Guest Friendly in any case.
Several years back booking.com claimed to know which Hotels were guest friendly. I have never actually asked though with them or at any Hotel. Bangkok Palace was the only family Hotel I ever stayed in accidentally, where bringing a girl was definitely not allowed. At least 15 years ago.

http://www.gfriendlyhotels.com/guest-friendly-hotels-bangkok.html.Ah sweet thanks! I agree about rules being broken, I guess it also depends on how you do it. If you're being discreet I have a feeling you could get away with it even if the hotel doesn't allow it. I mean they would hate to be in the position of accusing your girlfriend as being a prostitute. I've personally never tested this theory myself but I can imagine it could work.
Well after some great advice I set up about 3 dates in Bangkok and about 5 in Pattaya. One in BKK seems for sure but I got a problem. I'm staying at four points by Sheraton. The girl is 18. My email from them states 20+. I've read on a previous report way back that it's possible to use a different entrance to skip front desk. Anyone have 100% success using this entrance? Is there another hotel close that would allow 18 year old while still taking ID? Lady seems really nice, good English. But like to keep guard up seeing how I found her off Thai friendly. Any suggestions? What would you do?
Any suggestions? What would you do?Better take a look at her ID to be sure if she's indeed 18. At both Hilton Sukhumvit and DoubleTree Sukhumvit there were no ID checks last year, none of the staff even bothered if or who I brought back as a joiner.
This is what I would do:
(1) Check the girls ID to ensure she is indeed 18 years.
(2) I have stayed at the Fourt Points. The Hotel Security is very passive. You should not have any problems.
When entering the lobby, walk with purpose and confidence. It helps, if girl is dressed appropriately i. e. not like a street hooker!
(3) There is a side entrance into the Lobby.
I never used it myself. It is used by guests who want to take a short cut to Terminal 21. You can use it by yourself to see if it is convenient.
Let us know how it goes. Good Luck!

P. S Thanks for tip on checking ID. Didn't really occur to me she could be lying. That could of been embarrassing. Get caught sneaking up with a xxxxxxxx lady. Good tip!Embarrassing, immoral, and illegal. That is why I much prefer the hotel examine and hold their ID. Better for both parties really.
How would you know if the ID is fake or not? Do you know what year it is on the Thai calendar?

Worth noting that the Solo Hotel would not allow a 19 YO joiner, but would allow me to check her into the room as a normal customer (I booked for two). She was to be staying the whole night anyway. This maybe a remedy of last resort. If you book a girl into the room you give her room privileges so she can charge things to the room and request a key. May not be a problem but be aware.

This maybe a remedy of last resort. This might have something to do with a nuance in Thai law regarding P4P activities between consenting couples, which the hotel would probably assume is the case with a "joiner" vs your girlfriend or a regular traveling companion. This would also be pertinent to the "age of consent" question. The age of consent in Thailand is 18 as far as I know. But not if you are offering the girl money for sex. That, I believe, is 20.
Much about Thai law regarding the legality or not of prostitution is vague, imo. For instance, I don't believe it is technically illegal to pay a woman for sexual services or for her to paid for such services (but it is illegal for someone else to live off the proceeds of prostitution; a pimp, a bar or a venue that provides rooms explicitly stated to be used for P4P activities). The exception being offering money to a girl 19 or younger for sex. I believe there is a Thai law against that, although, as I said, this is sometimes vague and worthy of debate. On the other hand, a hotel (and the cops) might not be interested in debating the issue.
I assume the idea is that if an adult woman needs money and is willing to exchange sex for it, that is her business. But offering money to a girl 19 or younger might be a case of too much "coercion", inducing her with a temptation too good to resist to do something she would not freely do otherwise. And that she is likely still under parental supervision and perhaps it is her parents who have put her up to it, relating to the other restriction on "living off the proceeds" of prostitution.

Still have 18 YO girls needing to support their baby, possibly one or two parents of the girl, and possibly even younger sister's schooling, etc. These girls don't like to be discriminated against in terms of what types of work they are allowed to do. It's not always a case of being forced or coerced by someone. They have a baby and could have been fucking from a young age. In some cases girls have started work at some P4 P establishment, immediately after the appropriate birthday. My recent soapy girl at first said she had 4 years experience and now was 21 nearly 22. She then said she started at 18. I don't know which part was totally true. She could have moved to Emmanuelle from some dodgy place like Nataree, potentially.
What makes young girls want to be a hooker or accept money from guys ? Some categories come to mind:
1. Single mother wants to support herself and baby. Very common.
2. Girl supports Thai boy pimp. Also very common.
3. Girls wants to be independent and likes to party and fuck with foreigners. Maybe rare but I know a girl definitely in this category.
4. Girls on contract with a large debt to be paid.
5. Girls not Thai (from very poor countries), possibly not educated, that cannot get any other work for money sufficient to live on.
6. Lazy girls who want money to come easily without too much hard work. I include this, not in order to be judgemental. We all take the easiest most well paid jobs we can do. The manager of my apartment block does not work hard. Most of the time has nothing to do, but has to be there. Probably makes a lot less than hookers. The night guard works even less hard. Sleeps on the job or watches TV.
I prefer to be supporting girls of category 1, 3, 5, and 6 and not the other two, if I can know (not easy for new girls), regardless of the age.
Nataree was closed down due to points 4 and 5 combined with girls too young, and possibly tax evasion. So severe breeching of the rules.
We all need to take care to not accidentally breech rules that can be trouble, sometimes without knowing it. Hard when the rules are so wishy washy.
Very good points.

However, we do the same thing in the USA; the age of consent might be 18 in most places but the legal age to buy alcohol is 21 as I recall.
Interesting sequence of events regarding a Thai girl I have been seeing who just turned 20 years old. She is not a bargirl, not a P4P girl even on the side, works long hours at a Starbuck's-type coffee shop and comes over to stay all night with me 2-3 times per week. I met her and began our relationship a few months before she turned 20. During the time before she turned 20 I tried several times to reimburse her for simple things like taxi fare to and from my apartment, maybe about 100 baht each way at most, "buy you lunch" at work today, that kind of thing. Every time I tried to press the money into her hand with a polite wai or slip it into her pocket with a smile and a comment about it being "for taxi" or whatever, she would scowl and quickly hand it back to me. However, since her 20th birthday, she has been fine with accepting this kind of small money reimbursement from me. LOL. Was she aware of that nuance in the law and worried that someone might mistakenly think I was paying her for sex when she was only 19? Or that I might be offering it that way? Or maybe she is just more comfortable accepting it now that we have been together for a few months. I don't know but with this one anything is possible. LOL.

And in Thailand it's 15.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_consentI think you better rely more on the actual criminal code. This page says 18 for Thailand. Do want to believe what someone wrote in Wikipedia as gospel truth?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ages_of_consent_in_Asia#Thailand.
I quote it:
"Thailand.
The age of consent in Thailand is 18 regardless of gender or sexual orientation, as specified by article 317,318 and 319 of the Thai Criminal Code. The current legislation applies to all regardless of gender or sexual orientation. ".
Of course in reality, very few Thai girls are virgins at 18, and a very significant percentage have babies already due to poor Thai culture and education about preventing pregnancy. The condoms idea just doesn't work. The sex after marriage idea is laughable.
Of course significant western teenagers get pregnant also. Their simple solution is to get an abortion.
I find it a little mystifying that the law could forbid me from having sex with a fully mature woman who wants to fuck me for money (because she needs the money badly), and has a baby already, but happens to be 17. This girl has been fucking others for years (and unprotected). Horny little mynx. Still the law is there. It is a big problem for the girls that they are not legally permitted and can get nabbed by the police. It's no big problem for us unless we accidentally make the mistake and get caught.
We need to be aware the girl we fancy may well be younger than what we think, despite having a child already. Thai girls can be small and cute. It is very hard to tell if they are 17 or 24 sometimes. I think it is a lot easier to guess the age of western girls.
I never target young girls on purpose. My favourite girl is 35. Just that once girls are mature, it is hard to tell the age. Some certainly have magnificent tits at age 18 (or less). Every time I see perfect non saggy tits, I should be seeing a danger warning. Check that citizen card. If the girl is a mother, there seem to be no obvious signs to look for that she might be too young.
It is a big business for falsified records in Thailand. I wonder if many fake identity cards are in use the may alter the girl's birth date.

Anyway, according to the page below the age of consent is 15. However (and I quote): sex with a minor under the age of 18 is a compoundable offense, regardless of consent.

Maybe there's a lawyer among us who can shed some light on this? Wolvenvacht?

I never heard anyone claim 15 before and what you wrote seems self contradictory. I have seen laws posted before translated to English, but as ET said they appear vague and confusing and open to interpretation.

Maybe there's a lawyer among us who can shed some light on this? Wolvenvacht?Yes, I have read and heard the 15 year age mentioned, too. Somewhere along the line I think I heard something about being able to marry a 15 year old Thai with the parents' consent. Would that mean parental consent (or mere awareness) gives the ok to having sex as well? LOL. Again, it is vague and I have not seen this spelled out specifically in Thai law but maybe it is there somewhere.
I think one reason I tend to just repeat it as 18 here and if asked by visiting friends is because of another interesting spin on the issue if you are a citizen of the USA. Even though the age of consent might be lower than 18 in some USA states, there is a weird feature in the law about traveling over state lines and into other countries "for the purpose of having sex" with someone under the age of 18, REGARDLESS what the age of consent is in that state or country. Yes, that would mean if it could be shown by communication documents, written letters, email or social media chats, that a resident of, say, California (were it is 18) arranged in advance to meet with a girl in another state or country where the age of consent is under 18 and traveled there with that goal in mind, he could be charged with a federal crime by the USA for doing so. In fact, I believe that even if the age of consent in HIS state is, say, 16 and he travels to another state where the age of consent is 16 with that goal in his stated plan, he could still be charged with the "under 18" threshold offense with regard to travel plans.
However, if he is merely traveling around the USA or around the world and just happens to meet a young lady under the age of 18 but of legal age there and he and she then decide to engage in sex not having stated that in advance as a goal of his travel plan, that is NOT a federal crime in the USA. Unless it turns out that feature in USA law has been changed or does not really exist, that is a very, very weird nuance in USA law on this issue.
Therefore, whenever the subject is brought up and particularly when I am talking to a fellow USA citizen, I just say 18 and leave it at that because I have no idea what kind of written trail of evidence that guy has left behind suggesting he made this trip with a plan to get down with a girl under the age of 18 or not.

In the Netherlands, where I am from, we have a similar law but it's much more straightforward: for us it's simply forbidden to have sex with anyone under the age of 18 anywhere in the world regardless of the age of consent of the country where we are. And as far as I know many other (Western) countries have this law as well.
Just wanted to enquire on whether The Darwin Bangkok at soi Nana is girlfriendly. Read in an old post at tripadvisor that they had asked guest fee of 1200, but that was a post of a long time back. Any updates?

This usually happens when the illegal deed already happened without consent, and girl is pregnant. Almost a shotgun wedding. LOL.
Why would parents agree to a 15 YO getting married, if there was no necessity?
Hello,
I have a week planned in April next year in Bangkok.
My plans involve a significant amount of horizontal aerobics and after two previous visits to BK I have decided being around Nana Plaza is where I want to be.
I have booked;.
Salil Hotel.
Nana Hotel.
Dynasty Grande Hotel.
Majestic Suites.
Via Agoda and can cancel any of them up to around to weeks before I head over.
Which one would you stay at?
I am intending no LTs, just STs via GoGos / Smooci, FLs and Oilies.
Thanking you in advance.

Thanking you in advance.I stayed at Salil hotel (soi11) twice. Nice hotel, good AC and wifi, quiet. Good breakfast buffet with western and asian food. I had 3some there and not need to pay extra fee for the third guest. No swimming pool nor gym.
Nana hotel is very good if you like to spend time in soi4 and for FL girls working in the soi and in the parking lot of the hotel. I stayed there 10 years ago and the room was very old. I don't know if they have renovated the rooms.

Thanking you in advance.Sammy I am also looking for similar advice, but for next month. My short list is Dynasty Inn, Majestic Suites, Dawin Hotel and the Salil Hotel on Soi 8. Looking for a reasonable size double room with in room wifi and ideally a walk-in shower rather than an over the bath type shower. So I will appreciate any advice. Not bothered about the hotel having a gym or a pool.

Thanking you in advance. It's very strange to book Hotels so far in advance. Prefer to be fluid. No more than a week ahead at most for me. Sometimes I book in afternoon for same night LOL.
The Dynasty Grande is the most up market of those, and would be my choice. Great pool. Great bathrooms. Others stay at Nana to be right mixed in with all those hookers and ladyboys. That is just a little bit too cozy for me. Majestic Suites is probably okay Has to be booked in advance typically or sold out.
I never tried Salil, and looks like it moved location, but it never interested me. Any of the Hotels would do. If have a classy hooker girl (ha ha) by chance, she will probably like Dynasty Grande better, but with no LT, just does not matter.
Salil is probably more awkward to take a girl to if using go-gos in Nana Plaza, due to traffic flow restrictions.

I once went into the Ambassador a few years ago and didn't like their walk-in rate so I sat in the lobby and booked online, then walked to the desk to check in.
I agree that booking so far in advance is strange, especially in Bangkok where there are heaps of nice hotels for reasonable prices. Unless I wanted to stay somewhere specific I wouldn't book that far ahead.

Their direct online rate is cheaper than booking through Agoda and payment not required until I check in. 7 nights for a double standard room is THB 13,613 nett. I would have booked the Majestic Suites but it is fully booked for the period in September that I am looking for.
Nana Hotel.

If this is your first trip to Bangkok and you're only going to be there one week and all you intend to do is "horizontal aerobics," there is only one hotel that you should book. NANA HOTEL.
You cannot call yourself a "monger" until you've stayed at the NANA HOTEL at least once in your lifetime. It's a rite of passage and you'll be in kinship with fellow mongers from the days of the Vietnam War to the present day. The NANA HOTEL was the hotel of choice for thousands of servicemen who were on rest and relaxation from the Vietnam War; and their spirits still roam its lobby and rooms.
If you reserve the most expensive rooms at the NANA HOTEL, they are the re-modeled ones and they're fairly nice. If you decide to book one of the cheaper rooms, you can join the group that constantly bit*ch and moan that it's rundown.
Thank you to all for comments and advice, much appreciated.
I am actually staying one night in Nana Hotel in October as a 20 hour stopover on the way to Cambodia. In the best room, their suite. Based on that experience I'll judge whether to stay there in April next year.
I book so far in advance because my industry prescribes when I have holidays so I tend to plan well in advance, I'm just a bit pedantic that way. Also since the bookings are all able to be cancelled without penalty, I will just have another look around a couple of weeks before I go and see what the best deal is.
As you say the Majestic Suites tends to book out early. Another reason to book in advance.
I have cancelled Salil in Soi 11 already.
I'm leaning towards the Dynasty Grande Hotel at the moment.
Will be my fourth visit in fact.
Cheers. Owe you all beers.
Staying at the Westin. Very nice but it's hardly the same vibe as The Oriental circa 1986.

Yes, you can consider me strange (excentric sounds nicer) when it comes to hotel bookings. I like to spend as little as possible for the quality I want. To that end I keep a running spreadsheet of lowest prices at 4. 5* & 5* girl friendly Hotels. I like (large rooms, good location and good swimming pool) in BKK, Pat, Jakarta, MNL and Phnom, so when I spot a really low rate for one of my approximate dates, I am ready to nail it down.
Over time I have noticed interesting price patterns in different cities. BKK hotels offer some of their lowest / best rates 8 to 9 months out. Then the hotel rates rise steadily as the date of occupancy nears until about 2 weeks out when low low rates reappear on unsold rooms. Thus I am already booked for my next visit in 2018 to BKK & Pattaya and I feel pretty good about the fact that the rates I locked in are no longer available.
At the other end of the spectrum, Macau and Jakarta hotels hold back on their best rates until about 3 months out. As a result I have I have only made one hotel reservation in Jakarta for my next trip at the Ayana (the former Intercontinental) for $100/night. I like to spend about a week or so in any one specific hotel and then I like to move to another hotel in same city. I find that even a small change in location keeps things fresh.
I realize this is rather excentric on my part to book so far in advance, but I do get great deals on hotels and most of my reservations are pay later with no charge cancellation fees. My methods work because I know with almost 100% certainty where I want to go on my next trip while I am still on the road wrapping up my current trip. Hell, I am already thinking about 2019 and the trip after the next one. 555!
BKK EXAMPLES (average 8 months in advance):
Marriott Thonglor Exec Apartments - 1 br suite - 2880 baht.
Radisson Blu - grand delux room - $85.
Hilton - $93.
Fraser Suites - 1 br superior suite - pre paid - $81/86 with bfst.
Grande Centre Point Ratchadamri - 1 bedroom grand suite - $89 (good location for Patpong).
Sofitel - luxury king - $95 Accor (Sale in January - 2 months in advance. Exception to the rule).
Westin deluxe - $100 (Sale in January - 2 months in advance. Exception to the rule).
Jakarta Example:
Grand Hyatt - grand deluxe - $300/night 6 months in advance / $150 1 month in advance.

Thanks for the teachings. I will have to see if I can apply such principals for speculative bookings with my regular Gik in favourite places, and perhaps cancel at the last minute if is doesn't work out. I do have a backup Girl or two LOL.
Three girls sent message to remind me they need a fuck (or money or both) today. One was a bit desperate, so I paid her 2 K in advance. I have known her for years so I know I will get the service in due course. Another warned her period is coming. LOL The 3rd girl is pretty much dropped. She was annoying last time, and then just isn't pretty enough to compete.

Pam, one of my repeat regulars, I think you met her one night, has not Lined me or read my chats to her for nearly a month. For 2.5 years this girl Line chatted little love missives once or twice a week like clockwork. The reason for her lapse could be a lost or broken phone, gone back home, new boyfriend or sponser, or something else. I won't get to the bottom of it until I return to BKK and maybe not even then. Oh well. I really liked shagging her, but every girl loss is just a new opportunity the way I see it. I wish I was in LOS right now. I envy you and your end of the month choices. At least I am not in Houston. It's the end of the mango season where I live. I picked the last fruit off my tree yesterday. There is nothing like tree ripened mango except young Asian girls. LOL.

Based on that experience I'll judge whether to stay there in April next year.I have stayed in all the different room types at the Nana Hotel. The suites are bigger for sure (big enough to host a group) but are located on the 3rd floor and have no view. Better IMO to book a superior room and ask for a high floor with Sukhumvit view.
And there are only a handful of suites, so you might have to wait for the room to be vacated, where as with a more common room type they can likely find something right away.

Are there any hourly hotels in Nana or Soi cowboy? I booked on Airbnb (Aspire Sukhumvit) but apparently they have a security guard that checks you in and there is a 2000 baht fine if I bring any girl home, or should I try and bribe security guard with a few hundred baht.

Try the Caf at The Landmark, pay as you go if you have not booked breakfast with your room.Or you could walk about 5 minutes past Nana Plaza and have a great breakfast with friendly service at The Tavern. All are welcome and treated well. It is especially an oasis for Americans.
Normally staying at hotels but now wanted to try airbnb.
Any good or bad experience? Concerning mongering.
Just used Agoda to book the Majestic Suites Hotel, just off the corner of Soi 4 on Sukhumvit Road - $446 US total price for 11 nights in October.
It's 8.1 rating is spot on. Nice and clean. Not a great view, but quiet, especially considering it's in the heart of fun time area. A 3 minute walk to NANA Plaza.
Free Breakfast (featuring a REAL breakfast menu), good wifi, clean, fair amount of amenities. I book it as 2 guests for an extra $2 a day. They will frown at you for bringing lady guests in (and down to breakfast), but no one has ever stopped me (I'm paying for a second guest).
For the price, it's the best deal I've found.

You are renting an apartment, not a hotel, it's yours, not his, he does not make the rules.

Stayed at Landmark due to the recommendations on here, and have to say I was heavily disappointed.
Booked a club room, on the 27th floor, and it was far from worth the money.
The club lounge is basically worthless. The club breakfast is basically nothing more than eggs, with the main breakfast on first floor being far superior.
Speaking of the breakfast, it has a lot of choice, but it's entirely bland. Go to a proper buffet for half the price instead!
The hotel is completely open, so anyone can walk in and out, with access to all floors, and no guests will have to check in their ID. I feel way safer at other hotels, especially since this is in Nana.
If you don't pre-pay for breakfast you can get access for 630-830 baht (I forgot exact) per person.
Only good thing is the very early check in (8 am) and late check out (4 pm) for no additional cost.
Service was nothing special to be honest. Standard for what you're paying.
Stayed at Landmark due to the recommendations on here, and have to say I was heavily disappointed.
Booked a club room, on the 27th floor, and it was far from worth the money.

For cheaper than that price you can get the Movenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 - 8.3 rating on agoda and the absolute most amazing and HUGE breakfast of any hotel I've ever stayed at in BKK. New, modern, and clean. Beautiful rooftop pool and lounge area too. Hot girl photo shoot going on there one day while I was staying. About a quarter mile down Soi 15 off Sukhumvit Rd.

150 m from Nana Plaza on one side and 100 m from Kasalong on the other. Rooms, services and location are good. Okayish pool to relax.
Hotel is VFM 60 USD / night. Minibar prices reasonable too - Heineken is 70 Baht.
No additional charges for visitors. They just need to show their ID. I had booked a lady from Smooci. Reception guy did check when she came in and also called in while she was going out if things were okay.

Pretty sure the condo association makes "the rules" and the poor bugger security guard you want fired is merely enforcing them.
FWIW airbnb is operating illegally in Thailand: https://juslaws.com/legal-aspects-renting-condominium-unit-airbnb-thailand/.
SL.No condo association can make rules that prohibit you from bringing your friends in with you. If they want to try to make a rule saying no hookers, they will fall over at the first hurdle when someone brings a girl in with a tongue in her head and some basic education, you simply cannot brand someone a hooker even if it is true. This is Thailand, it is not a backwater, there are human rights even if you think bar girls do not have them, they do. There are more employment protection laws in Thailand than in the USA. Of course if the guy with her is so fucking stupid as to demand someone keeps her ID because he is scared he will lose his I phone or whatever, then he is the problem. I have never lost anything in Thailand in 20+ years of bringing girls back, but then again I do not select a girl when I am a drunk, and suss them out really well before hand.
No condo association can make rules that prohibit you from bringing your friends in with you.Condo boards can pass any rules they want, especially regarding illegal (less than 30 days) sub-lets. I have been following this situation on a non-P4 P travel website. The two basic points of contention which do not abide to the Thailand Hotel Act law:
1) Authorities do not like the fact that taxes are rarely paid on airbnb rentals.
2) Hotels are required to make a copy of foreign visitors passports, and report to local authorities every day that they are registered quests. Authorities are concerned that potential 'persons of interest' can stay in airbnb accommodations to avoid this reporting.
So rather than go after individual property owners authorities are going after the members of building Condo boards (a small identifiable group) and threatening them with prosecution. Many reports of airbnb renters not being able to check in, being asked to leave after checking in, and deposits and pre-paid fees being lost.
The above is really not open to debate. It is what is already happening on the ground. Sorry if it does not sync with your pre-conceived notions of how things are or should be.
So is anyone who arranges for airbnb accommodations in Thailand taking their chances? Well given TIT the answer is a definite maybe.

Stayed 5 nights booked by hotels.com at 32 us for the modern chinese room. Not much choice for room type on this website. The room is modern but small. Reminded me of those European business hotels where there is just a little room around the bed. During morning cleaning I saw other rooms were much larger and modern. This is a budget hotel but IMHO a good one. As a first timer I did not want to have to walk far to either nana or cowboys. At my pace I could get to either in ten minutes or so. Your right in the thick of things here and with transport stations close by to visit other areas of the city. The common area, halls and elevator show the budget price of the hotel. What makes it a good budget hotel for me was the service, quality food, modern room, good wifi, pool was clean and hardly used and then location. Cannot expect to much for 30 us a night but I felt it was great value. I would stay here again.

GF.Thanks for the review. Sometimes the website in-room photos of hotels aren't all that accurate. I see on the Ruamchitt Plaza Hotel website that the Modern Chinese Room does not show a photo of an arm chair (not just a stool or a small, kitchen style chair without arms) and a desk or vanity type table in the room, whereas the Modern Chinese Corner Room and all of the Deluxe Rooms do show such an arm chair and desk or table combination. Is that how it was in your $32 USD room, no arm chair and desk or table?

I was thinking of booking the Grand Swiss but read several bad reviews of soundproofing of the rooms. Don't want to be banging a girl and hearing people talking next door.Yes the sound proofing is not the best but never had any issues about hearing sounds from adjoining room. I mean normal sounds. If unfortunately you happen to bring back a screaming type then even the best of sound proofing is of no use.

But no matter, really. If you did not get a sturdy table/desk and an arm chair in your room I would still specify and ask for a room with one in it if I ever booked a room there, show a photo on my phone if needed. Thanks again. Seems like their room rates go from around mid-$30 USD to mid-$40 USD just to get that sturdy table / desk and an arm chair in it. I wonder if they are aware as I am how much better a blowjob experience one can achieve when there is a sturdy table / desk and at least one arm chair in it rather than just a bed? LOL. Well worth the extra $10 USD imo.

My only concern is that they don't have in room safety deposit boxes. Does anyone have any thoughts on this issue? I'll prob have a lot of cash on me, and I feel kind weird stashing my valuables in a locker that's not in my room.
Anyone have recs for a similar hotel (location and price) that does have in room safety deposit boxes?

Anyone have a recommendation between Nana Plaza Hotel vs. Ruamchit? I'm looking at a convenient spot to pick up freelancers. I have been leaning toward Ruamchit but was turned off by the fact that they don't have in room safes. Which offers a better selection (Thermae or Nana Plaza)?

Most of the 3 star or 5 star hotels, have their in house massage parlors. Most of them are definitely available for in calls. I had one such wonderful experience. I was given a glowing review about one such masseuse by a fellow visitor and I tried the same. She charged 1000 be for 1 pop but I told her I want 2 pop which she was not initially willing. I was able to convince her for 2 pops for 1500 be and extra tip as applicable. She started with a nice leg and back massage and then some BBBJ to get my johnny upright. One ready, covered it and started with WOT and switched to missionary where I released my first shot within 15 min. Again with a quick shower where I forced her to join me and I enjoy some soapy sliding of fingers into her twat and me mauling her boobs and dry humping her from behind (not entering her). After drying up we started round 2 with another massage and BBBJ with special attention to my balls. This round was exhausting for both of us and I tried most of positions I was aware of and spent more than 1 hour banging her. With both of us exhausted completely she resorted to handjobs and even tickling my bumhole. All this could still not make me cum. Out of pure exhaustion I told her to finish up in spite of not coming.
Our entire escapade took 2 hrs and I paid her an extra of 200 be for all her effort.
I was lucky to strike jackpot in my hotel stay and I didn't have to travel anywhere.
P.S: this is an old FR (2 yrs old). Just to let people know that hidden gems may be available within reach and we might be travelling far and miss out on them.

Walk outside the front door, turn left and go about 25 steps, make a left onto Soi 4 - walk past Morning Night and Stumble Inn and into Nana Plaza. Or to the right Hooters and Nana Hotel with their lineup of FL out front.
The view inside the hotel didn't exist. But it was clean, had room safes and at $40 a night. It's cheap.

Both are ground zero to NEP, have in-room safes and are about the same price, so it is a really personal preference thing.

Just booked Dawin with an option to cancel. In the policy of the confirmation it mentions that 2 guests only and additional guest charged $450. I know outrageous. So if I book someone from Smooci in the afternoon for a few hours then at night get another for all night (LT) would that count as an extra person and do I have to pay the additional fee? Any suggestions would be appreciated and depending on it might have to decide whether to cancel the booking or not. Thanks.

Moved from BKK Reports to the appropriate forum.
Am in BKK for only 2 days. Would like to try a 3 some in my room. I heard that most hotels would not allow 2 girls to join, only 1 (even if one books a big room). Who knows about hotels allowing 2 guests the same time? Thanks!!Not true Gannaton. I enjoy threesomes and threesome pool parties all the time. ALL the BKK hotels that I do commerce with don't care how many girls I bring up to my room at a time. I have personal histories with all the hotels listed below so believe me when I tell you that these hotels don't bat an eye when I bring in 2 or 3 girls at a time. I just escort my girls straight to the elevators like we own the place. I never register my girls. I don't like to register girls because I feel it is a mood killer and a waste of my time. I do not consider a hotel that adds a joiner fee for the 2nd girl to be girl friendly.
My short list of true BKK girl friendly hotels includes: Marriott Thonglor Exec Apartments & Hotel, JW Marriott, Marriott Exec Apt Sukhumvit Park, Marriott Courtyard, Renaissance, Intercontinental, Radisson Blu, Radisson Suites, Sofitel, Westin, Grande Center Point T21, Grande Centre Point Ratchadamri, Centre Point Soi 10, Admiral Premiere, Column, Fraser Suites, Grand Mercure Asoke Residence, Landmark, Hyatt, ect ect.
In addition, there are many more BKK hotels that have similar policies. If you want to know about a particular hotel not listed here: #1 google girl friendly hotels Bangkok (there are a number of competing sites) or #2 to be absolutely sure, email the hotel itself and ask. You will receive a prompt and courteous reply regardless of the hotel's policy.

Just spent 2 nights on a short and quick work trip and the passion when a women rides you in that hot water of the jacuzzi: Price Less:

Anyone know if this hotel is guest friendly? Just opened so no info on the usual sites. It was GF when I walked in with my girl last time. A few weeks back. Given the location with Hillary's / Oscar's and other pick up places close by it should be. Rooms are a decent size. Club floor OK. There was quite a lot of noise from the street and adjacent bars. Also avoid getting a room which has an adjoining room. Sound proofing was poor. Staying on Soi 11 has upsides but the constant hassle from touts who perceive any foreigner as tourist is a pain. Pushing taxis, girls, shops, peanuts, watches, sex shows etc. Taxis seemed reluctant to use meters too.
YMMV.
Cheers FK.

Thanks Rob.It's many years since I used a Hotel Room safe or any other safe in Bangkok or any other country I have been working in. Even the room has a safe, I don't use it.
Okay I don't have anything very expensive like jewellery. I even struggled to spell it. I have laptop computers. I have a passport. Carrying large amounts of cash is not a great idea. That is really asking for it. I do have Thai bank accounts. Your belongings are much safer in the Hotel room than with you out on the street or in a shopping centre.
Last time I had something stolen, a bag with various valuables in it, like phone, camera, etc. , was when I put it down in a shopping centre, to fill out a form. Don't take your passport with you except when really necessary. A photocopy is okay Motorcycle thieves exist out on the street too.
Hotel rooms are very safe unless you take someone very unsafe into your room. Then you don't let them out of your site, and be careful for spiked drinks.

It would make good sense if someone compiled a list of those Hotels that are not GF, or very family oriented Hotels, since surely the list would not be so large.
Maybe I was just lucky, but I don't ever recall having a problem in Sukumvit area, in 3 to 4 star Hotels. I never chose the absolute most expensive or anything really low priced. Maybe Tai Pan had a hint of not being GF many years ago but I was not sure. Rembrandt I also was not so sure. Had GF staying with me there.

I'm not sure if I will be bringing anyone back or just use a short time room. I'm always cautious and insist on the hotel to take their ID and will insist on a call if I'm not with them when exiting. I think I will start looking for another hotel as I don't want the temptation to be there.
Thanks, Rob.

I realize room safes are not 1000% secure but they are better than carrying around valuables on my person.
And I can confirm Mercure on Soi 11 is GF. I checked out of there yesterday. The rooms there are extremely modern and nice. Every girl I brought back commented how nice the room looked. One girl even took a bunch of selfies in the room because it looked so nice. I had the upgraded room. IDs are not checked here. When entering the hotel you arrive at the elevators before the reception desk. The reception people will not see your new girlfriend. A security guard will see you but not stop you or request the girl's ID.

I almost always stay in hotels with room safes. Most 3. 5*, 4*, and 5* city and major resort hotels have them so it is kind of like an industry default. Nothing is 100% so there is always a risk. I find that a more relavent issue is wheather the room safe is large enough to store my noteboook computer. I dislike hotels with small room safes. In such circiumstances I store my notebook in my suitcase under some T shirts and lock the suitcase. I have never had a problem with hotel theft in over 35 years of travel. Knock on wood.
But once upon a time when I was a young backbacker, I was staying in a low budget hotel (pension) in Cartegena. I had very little money back then, but I knew how to have a great time. Anyway, a local thief climbed over the roof of this hotel into the garden courtyard and robbed the guest's clothes hanging near the windows in all the rooms. This hotel had no AC only electric fans. No TV or room safes either. LOL. My jeans that were hanging near the open window were stolen out of my room while I slept. I found them lying in the courtyard near the wall in the morning. The few pesos in their pockets were gone. Ever since then I always hang my clothes in the closet or the farthest area away from the door or an accessable window. 555.
Few months back I booked a room in Fusion suites.
It was one of the best rooms where you can enjoy the girl you are with. Bathroom separated with just glasses, When the girl I picked up from bar was taking a shower, I was peeping and she noticed it and she started teasing me for a while. It was very good.

As I said earlier, Bangkok Hotels are quite a safe place to leave a passport, even not in the safe. As soon as you take your passport with you in a bag, danger increases a lot. Non secure rooms like beach bungaloes may be different.
If ever a Hotel maid would steal something, most likely is to try some female guests Lancme face cream (not take the whole jar), where never could be proved anything was missing, or try the perfume. Cash is a most obvious temptation as well. Not passports.
Right now staying somewhere else. However it is inconceivable that hotel staff will search my bag and take a passport. Hardly even noticed if room had a safe. It does, but I can't be bothered to use it. I might forget stuff in the safe.
A Hotel is more secure than my own home, and that does not have a safe. I am aware of Thai people having house broken into and things stolen. Very stupidly some Thais keep significant money in the house, without even finding a very strange place to hide it. One Thai girl is missing significant cash (not a made up story). She is not sure if was stolen or she just forget where she put it several months ago when moving house. Nothing else is missing. Could have been stolen (maybe not).

I'm the same, I never use a safe at a hotel. A maid is unlikely to steal a passport, they are unlikely to be able to sell it on for much money and it would be a one off thing. They would be fired pretty quickly and lkely to end up in jail. Sure, if you left US $ 20 k in your bag and the staff found it then maybe they would be tempted, but not a passport.

And of course not carry ridiculous amounts of cash away from the room. No reason for me to tempt fate and leave anything sitting around the room. I won't even book a room without a room safe. I will agree that the Thai girls and Thai housekeepers are extremely honest. In all my years I have never had a theft with a Thai female guest or Thai hotel staff.

We just write our views to make sure readers understand that Hotel maids are pretty honest, and there is no need to be in fear of things getting stolen in the Hotel room in Thailand, by the staff. It would be an unrealistic fear. Once a female friend accidentally left a wallet on a bus containing a very large amount of cash. I forget now if was 50K Baht or more. She got it back. The Thai cleaner of the bus did not even open the wallet to see how much money was in there. Friend was very lucky. Carrying large amounts of cash is indeed stupid behaviour. Don't push your luck that far.
I am not going to suddenly start using the safe. It's just not an issue for me, and if the room has no safe, no problem as long as overall security of the Hotel is adequate. I rarely leave wallet in the room. Its in my pocket. That is a more dangerous place than leaving it in the room actually. The issue arises of what to do with wallet while swimming. In that case, a safe is an option. I have also used a water tight plastic container to hold cash and cards that can go swimming with me. I don't like to leave valuables unattended on the beach. That is definitely dangerous.
I never heard of a Passport being stolen from a room and my laptop computers never got stolen either in so many years of coming to Thailand. There are plenty of honest people in Thailand. Even most bargirls can be trusted not to steal your stuff. Freelancers is a more dangerous thing.
I take freelancers to ST Hotel if I don't know them. Take no risks with risky type of people. On the street or in dark alley is probably the most dangerous situation in Thailand. Perhaps the Police are also dangerous. Still have never been mugged in Thailand after 25 years, nor anywhere else in the world, although a thief did rip a mobile phone from pouch on my belt in a foreign country in early days of when digital phones were very expensive, and made a run for it.
Have lost bags after putting them down and leaving slightly unattended for a short time. Once in Thailand managed to lose my wallet when getting out of the taxi. Subsequently got back the wallet and cards. Obviously the first finder of the wallet at least took the cash and dumped the rest.
So I suggest to all to protect yourself from what you think are the biggest risks likely to happen. Cannot worry about scares for bomb explosions, bird flue, Sars, etc.
Cannot worry about every last extremely low risk. Could be killed in freeway car crash or struck by lightning.
Shit happens. Once in a beach resort caf, I accidentally dropped several credit cards and similar Id Cards. The floor boards at my feet had significant width cracks for ventilation. Some cards fell through the cracks. Access to underneath very narrow (too narrow for me to get there at my size) and was very difficult with sand and junk, so hard to get the cards back and in the end maybe only got some of them. Leaving passport in a bag in the Hotel, is far from one of my worries. I would not even worry about leaving my wallet in Hotel room provided does not contain significant cash.
Never had a anything stolen by a bargirl. Worse thing a bargirl ever did was open a bottle of something in the Hotel mini-bar or packet of nuts or chips that I normally would not use .

Thai's are pretty honest people that way and I have never had a theft problem in Thailand in over 30 years except one night when I felt a SW's hand trying to lift my wallet. I rebuked her and told her to leave the area before I call the cops. I never saw that SW again.
But generally new visitors should not be overly concerned about their personel safety in LOS or their belongings in their hotel room. Still, its better not to play around with temptation. Use your common sense: never drink more than you can handle and do not leave valuable things out in your hotel room. To that end I always put everything away in its proper place before I go out for the evening. Use your suitcase or the room safe. It is up to you. I never carry large sums of cash, my passport, jewelry, or more than 1 credit card with me wherever I am (BKK, Pat, MNL, CGK, Phnom, Macau). Hotel safes are just another layer of protection, but not foolproof by any means. I use them primarily because they are a handy place to store things like cash, credit cards, and notebook for easy access. I hate rummaging through my suitcase looking for things. If someone is truly concerned about their valuables I suggest seeing the concierge and depositing those items in the hotel safe.
Anecdotally: I was staying in a nice resort hotel in Ko Lipe one time. I went out for my morning swim, but absentmindedly I left my room safe open with a wad of cash showing. While I was away, houesekeeping came in, cleaned the room, and closed the door of the safe. Nothing was missing. But I felt bad because I had foolishly left such a temptation in plain view. Needless to say, I left a generous tip before I left the resort.

IF so, how far a walk is it from Nana Plaza, also icheck in soi 2, thanks.
IF so, how far a walk is it from Nana Plaza, also icheck in soi 2, thanks.Very long walk and there is a ton of traffic congestion on that street. Icheck on soi 2 or even 4 would be much better. One of the hotels near 6 alley on soi 4, or or maybe try the Nana hotel itself but you have to book direct with them they are not on agoda anymore.

How about the Icheck on soi 7? The one on soi 2 looks like they provide a tuk tuk any may be a bit far too.On Soi 2 they do provide a tuk tuk shuttle service but it stops at midnight. A moto taxi is usually only 20 baht though. Walking from Soi 7 will ultimately be about the same time and distance. Sometimes I walk, sometimes I ride.

Yeah, but I do also go over to soi 7 alot. One I just discovered was hotel solo on soi 2, any info on that one?I'd stay on Soi 7 or 7/1 before Soi 2.
Yeah, but I do also go over to soi 7 alot. One I just discovered was hotel solo on soi 2, any info on that one?First time in Bangkok I stayed at Boss Suites (nice place I recommend) on Soi 4 750 m from Nana plaza they had a tuk tuk which is ok going out but unless you want to wait in heat bit inconvenient on way back. Second time I stayed at Ruamchitt right on Sukumvit Soi 15 what a difference that made. Much easier to get around there. And girls right outside the hotel. Hard to beat. So I think it's worth it to spend an extra 500 baht a night on a better location.
Yeah, but I do also go over to soi 7 alot. One I just discovered was hotel solo on soi 2, any info on that one?Yeh it's (Solo) too deep in Soi really I would prefer Majestic Grand or Soi 4 Hotels.
Solo did not want to allow me to have a female visitor aged 19. Said that is below age limit. So I checked her in as a normal Hotel guest and she stayed the night. Stupid stuff!
Solo is small hotel with cramped B/F area. I don't really recommend it.

Solo did not want to allow me to have a female visitor aged 19. Said that is below age limit. So they make up their own laws at that hotel? I'll never stay at that shit place then.
Can anyone suggest some good short time hotels near Nana and what will they charge?
Having stayed in Hotel Mermaid and Park Plaza Sukhumvit Hotel near Asok I was wondering that somebody knows a better girl friendly hotel between Soi Cowboy and NEP.
Requirements are minimum 40 meter square room and price doesn't need to include breakfast. Bathtub would be a plus. Rate between USD 70 and USD 85 per night.
I have been very happy with both hotels I have stayed in before but it seems that PPS have higher rates these days even though still doable. Still happy with Mermaid even though not between Soi C and NEP.

Check out Admiral Premiere (ADM & grand suites), Column (1br exec suite), Grand Mercure Asoke Residence (deluxe & exec suites), & Fraser Suites (superior (w/balcony) & deluxe suites). Agoda and whoever frequently offer very good deals on these hotels (large 1 bedroom suites) for under $85/ night before taxs and fees. It goes without saying that these hotels are GF and they never batted an eye when I escorted 2 or more girls up to my loom. They all have relatively nice swimming pools and offer a varying degree of good locations close to the night action. All these suite hotels have separate great rooms (living room/kitchen combos) & bedrooms, large bathtubs, washer/dryers, and refrigerator/freezers.
Try Shama Sukhumvit Suites, rooms are huge and you can bang around the apartment.
Location is 2 minutes walk to NEP via the back door.
Lemongrass amenties in room, USD80 per night. Stay more nights for discounts.
Have fun!

Premier king / Grand Premier rooms are in the range of 70-90 USD range and a good breakfast is included. Only thing is that the size of the rooms is 30 meter square. Hotel is clean and location is right between SC & NEP.

Lobby is huge, leave the ID at the front desk.
Don't include breakfast as that's the worst point of this hotel.
Am sure you will figure it out. The back door leads to soi 4, I enjoyed my long stay here everytime. Washing machine and kitchenette at your convenience.
Another hotel I would recommend is Lohas Residence, further down into Soi 4. Great room condition, but a little too far deep.
Cheers!
Anybody have a preference? I stayed at grande once for a night, I see Dawin has no gym as one difference.

I am currently staying at Grand Mercure Asoke Residence. Room are newly renovated (Renovation still in progress on the lowest floors, but I did't notice anything). Although I just joined "LE Club" for this stay I got upgraded to an Executive Suite on one of the highest floors. It is huge (80 sqm), big living room, separate eating area, kitchen and two bathrooms, one with bathtub and both with walk-in showers. I pay 3.1 K for the night.
If you pass the front desk they take the ID of the girl (but do not call when she leaves), but there is also a back entrance where you only have to pass the secirity guys, which did not care about me passing with a girl.
Location is in quiet soi 19, about 400 m off Sukhumvit road, right where Terminal21 is.

Anybody have a preference? I stayed at grande once for a night, I see Dawin has no gym as one difference. At the moment I would choose the Dawin as there is quite a lot of construction work going on in Soi 6, also very close to the Dynasty Grande.
Thanks, is their a front desk if book for a few days and want to extend stay or just all done online? Is back door open for return at night or just for leaving, thanks again. They are more than welcome to extend your stay directly at the front desk. Once again, online may have some discount as compared to walk-in rates. No harm requesting for the same discounted rates at the front desk directly.
I remembered entering in hotel at 4 am via the backdoor, however its better to email hotel to verify in this.
Cheers.
Anybody have a preference? I stayed at grande once for a night, I see Dawin has no gym as one difference.Comes down to your requirements. I have not stayed at Dawin (note the name is not Darwin LOL). However never heard anything bad about it. Supposed to be good value for money. I expect Dynasty Grande is a bit higher standard overall (ignoring price).
Dynasty Grande is a good class Hotel with very good swimming pool, and bathrooms are very good. Separate shower stall. Decide your requirements and select accordingly. Years ago standard of Dynasty Grande restaurant food was poor other than at B/F however that is very old info. I just ate food elsewhere, no real problem. If need to sleep in daytime hours heed the construction site warnings.

In my opinion, the only advantage the Dynasty Grande has over the Dawin is the Grande has a decent gym. However, I have never seen more than 1 other person in that gym with me, so I'm guessing that's not a big selling point for the hotel. The Grande does have a nicer pool, but I've used the pool at the Grande a total of two times in over 100 stays and I haven't used it in years so it's not a selling point either in my opinion. The fat old dudes in speedos sitting by that pool are an eye sore, so I prefer a room that does not overlook the pool. Unfortunately, the fat old dudes are normally the only ones ever out by that pool. About 8 years ago, there was actually a good looking girl in that pool. A Japanese girl who was there with her Japanese husband. The sad thing is that was such a rare event that I still remember it 8 years later. The Dawin is newer, but again, no gym. Food at both is pathetic. Both are good value for money.

Having looked at all of the suggestions you've made I might consider staying in the Admiral as it has been reviewed here by several other punters. It looks closer to Soi Cowboi than Mermaid Hotel and Park Plaza Sukhumvit as well.
For some reason I do like to start my evening journeys in Crazy House and get warmed up. Afterwards I have a stroll through SC and continue to move on to NEP. MOst of the time I'm heading back after midnight to SC and end up in CH if I didn't found anything of my liking in between.
I can't decide between the following hotels! Any Suggestions?
1. The Landmark.
2. Majestic Suites.
3. Majestic Grande.
As you can tell, I prefer to stick around Nana Plaza and the BJ Bars. I'm also open to suggestions to staying around Soi Cowboy but would need a really good comparison to Nana. Background why I like Nana area is because I know there are massage places that offer FS on the Nana alley (Soi 4?) Is there anything like that at Soi Cowboy?

Majestic Suites * 1800 Baht approx. Possibly best value for money.
Majestic Grande * 2500 Baht approx.
Landmark * 4000+ Baht approx. Never stayed there.
You can see there is no comparsion. Last time I took Majestic Grande purely as it was about my price range and could get a booking.
Consider also Dynasty Grande and Dawin recently mentioned.

If ever Column has a good price deal, then I would take that every time. It is a super Hotel for rooftop bar, pool, and views over Bangkok if get a moderately high floor at least. Girls really like it too. Classy. Normal prices for Column are quite high. Not absolute closest to the bars but that matters so little. Can always take a taxi or motorbike. One of my favourite regular girls really loves the column Hotel and it's rooftop bar. She likes to dress show off in sexy fashion outfits. I thought was better than being on the top of the State Tower personally.
Mermaid was one of the best value for money Hotels when I tried it (when fairly newly opened). Alas Admiral Premier became too well known. Some Japanese guys live there all the time. Often used by Chinese bus tours, causing it to be fully booked or not having the prices as good as used to be. Was best a few years ago when was little known.

Background why I like Nana area is because I know there are massage places that offer FS on the Nana alley (Soi 4?) If you exit Cowboy on Soi 23 and turn left, you will soon see massage places on the far side of the street. There are many to choose from and you would walk for 10 minutes to take them all in. I do not have a favorite but have enjoyed myself here. One reason I like Bangkok is there are so many choices beyond the obvious.

If I would go for massage, Soi 4 is about the last place I would think of. LOL Well actually I don't even like massage! So I mean last place I would go to an MP looking for sex. Surely Soi 22 through to Thonglor is the hub for sex MPs. I have visited MPs in Soi 19 but not in Soi 23, despite having so many. Also have used MPs in Soi 33. There are just so many possibilities one cannot think to try so many of them unless they have stunning girls. LOL.
For Soi 4 beware that many MPs appear to be populated with lady boys in addition to real girls. Danger, Will Robinson!

I started my evening a bit too early, around 6:15 at Soi Cowboy. I was denied entry into Crazy Horse, so sat on the patio of Lighthouse. It seemed quiet and I started getting bored. To kill time, I walked to Nana Plaza and went straight to Bangkok Bunnies. I loved the welcoming atmosphere at the club and decided to linger around until 9 pm. At this point, a very cute girl who's name she said was 'Ba' stopped by and asked for a lady drink. I bought her one with the intention of barfining her later. We were able to hold a conversation without getting bored and discussed her fee to go back to my hotel. She quoted 2500 B for an hour or 2 and 4000 B for overnight. I thought it was reasonable and told her I will come back after checking out the action inside the club.
Once I went inside to see the performers on stage, I forgot about the patio girl Ba. After scoping out the talent, I chose No. 22 and bought her a LD. She was very friendly and easy to talk to, so I ended up barfining her. Enjoyed my time with her as she was very un-business like and friendly. Her name is Mai, she's 31, petite and I thought she was very attractive. She's a single mom but has no baby damage. I plan to see her again.
Saw a lot more pretty girls while leaving the plaza.
After seeing some of the responses, I think I need to be more adventurous and stay closer to Cowboy this time then. I was thinking Grand Centre Point T21, price is a little steep but hell I'm on vacation.
Curious though, Is it the price that makes Majestic Suites to hard to book? Looking at the pictures online, they're not all the glamourous, looks like the Lobby, Check-in Area and restaurant is all connected. Meaning to get to the elevators, I have to walk past the front desk every time??

You can be seen entering by the front desk. So what? That is not a problem. It is a Monger's Hotel, not a family Hotel. Anyway you obviously don't want it, seeking something more up market it seems.
Personally I prefer to waste money on girls more than expensive Hotels. However each to their own priorities. I used to stay in classy Hotels when they have a good price, like Column Hotel (a big favourite). Unfortunately they rarely have a special these days.
It is definitely not adventurous to stay in Terminal 21. Just get it straight what you are seeking actually. Personally I prefer to stay closer to Cowboy and to the MRT (underground) and to the major Massage shops area, as traffic in the below Soi 21 district is pretty jammed up and I rarely need to go down that area. If I want to go to Nana I use a motorbike for short distance or the BTS. Soi 4 is problematic for Taxis as they can't turn tight out of Soi 4 nor turn right into Soi 4. There are some tricks to overcome the limitations but I still prefer not to stay in Soi 4.
That would be "Crazy House".
It is not normal protocol to discuss price for the night with a lady if you are not going to take her. Experienced mongers would probably not do that. Perhaps more applicable if you go shopping. Thais don't like it if people are asking the price when they don't want to buy. However I appreciate you wanted to see what prices you could get.
"Ba" means crazy (sometimes) LOL.
Can anyone recommend a good, clean, safe and cheap hotel close to BKK airport, arriving late and will probably take taxi to Pattaya next morning.
Finally decided on The Landmark, thanks for all the input. What sold me on The Landmark was that it's basically across the street from Thermae and also close to the BJ Bars. I realized that I'm not much into the GoGo Bars so neither Cowboy nor Nana really interests me, and if I did want to venture to either, they're not far apart (however heads up to Syzgies, I'd like to PM you about Cowboy if that's ok) After Syzgies made me think about what it was I was looking for, I realized that what thrills me the most is picking up SW / FL's, Plus a nice place to stay, room service and American TV is definitely a plus. Will report on The Landmark.
Majestic Suites is a small basic Hotel very popular due to price and location. Yes not glamourous. You can be seen entering by the front desk. So what? That is not a problem. It is a Monger's Hotel, not a family Hotel. Anyway you obviously don't want it, seeking something more up market it seems.

If you are Japanese(or similar) I could understand staying very close to the Thermae. Otherwise don't bother, IMHO.

No need for the club level, plenty of good breakfast places around. I personally walk to Cafe Tartine, nice sandwiches and croissants. Should be about USD $150. Get access to great gym next door as well. Pool is just OK, nothing like T21.
At night, one usually has to have the girl show ID and they write down her info. Dinotrex, please find out if they have a minimum age restriction.
Plenty of SW / FL around nana all the way to Thermae. Careful though, it's gets dark in those alleyways and tough to spot those.
Ladyboys. Safe travels.

Almost all of the places you read about here are located very close to each other. Be sure to cross Sukhumvit and visit Soi 7/1 and Soi 11. Most hotels have only a few USA TV stations so don't get your hopes up too high for TV.

Hi,
My first visit to the LOS coming up in November and planning to spend just 2 days in BKK and 4 days in Pattaya.
Based on good feedback on this forum, shortened the list down to the S Sukhumvit & Ruamchitt Plaza.
Can't decide on either one, both are closer to NEP / Soi Cowboy.
Ruamchitt has a slight advantage since it is located in the dead center.
Price wise, there is not a big difference between the two.
Just looking for a clean no frills place, good breakfast is a must. Of course has to be girls friendly and I believe both are.
Please suggest if there is anything that I need to consider before making a choice. Promise to provide feedback after the visit.
Cheers!

If you are Japanese(or similar) I could understand staying very close to the Thermae. Otherwise don't bother, IMHO.I have chanced to walk into Thermae one time. Ordered a Remy and walked the horseshoe. Stopped and chatted with a lady by asking her is she was ok with farang or Japanese. She smiled and said Japanese. I walked over to the center and talked for awhile another older guy like me. He said it was his second time in here and he wasn't able to score.
My question is this, being an older in great shape white guy, grey hair and a mustache, If a lady refuses you do all the ladies pick up on that and also ignore you? I will say it is the best looking group of ladies I have seen in Bkk. Please advise. BTW, I walked outside an took an FL, that was a great ride 2 hrs, 1500 baht.

Cheers!I haven't been in a room in Ruamchitt in many years but from what I hear the rooms at S Sukhumvit are much nicer. Ruamchitt used to be pretty dumpy. I stayed at S Sukhumvit a few months ago. S Sukhumvit has a much better location although Ruamchitt is good also. Sukhumvit is a 1 minute walk to Soi Cowboy. The hotel is next to the BTS Asoke station, the MRT Sukhumvit subway station and practically across the street from Terminal 21. S Sukhumvit recently changed their name to Sukhumvit Suites. IMHO Sukhumvit Suites is a much better choice.

S Sukhumvit is a good choice. Safe in room as well. Very girl friendly, never had even a peep from anyone when bringing girls back.
I have chanced to walk into Thermae one time. Ordered a Remy and walked the horseshoe. Stopped and chatted with a lady by asking her is she was ok with farang or Japanese. She smiled and said Japanese. I walked over to the center and talked for awhile another older guy like me. He said it was his second time in here and he wasn't able to score.

RL.I don't think it matters to the other ladies if one lady refuses you. Unless the lady is well known by everyone never to accept a Farang, most of the rest of them would have no idea who rejected who in that discussion or why anyway. And that assumes more than a few of them were even paying attention rather than trying to catch the eye of some other potential customer in the room.
Your question suggests you only spoke with that one girl and did not try another. Otherwise, you would have had more info on whether that first discussion/refusal mattered or not, right? Based on the description of yourself, I think you would have been successful in getting a taker within the next 2-3 girls you chatted up. The FL you took outside and had a great time with might very well have been standing in Thermae 30 minutes earlier or was planning to go in there later.
I am also an older Farang guy (64), in pretty good shape although I have never used the word "great" (LOL) as you did and when I walk the horseshoe I get dozens of inviting smiles and unblinking looks from lovely young girls on both sides and ends of that room, all the way around. That was true as recently as a week ago. Any night I have been intent on taking a girl from Thermae I have been able to do so and can't remember the last time it required chatting up more than two of them to make that happen over the past few years. And I am not talking about the older, less attractive ladies there. However, there might be things that set us apart that you mentioned and one that you did not mention. Maybe they matter a little, but no way to know for sure. Some things that set us apart (but still might not matter one whit really) is my hair is not grey because I chemically darken out the grey, I don't have a mustache, I don't think it has ever occurred to me to approach a Thermae girl by asking her the question you asked, I usually approach by at least trying to say Hello in Thai (Sawatdee khrup).
Further, I am smiling when I walk into the place and look confidently yet non aggressively around the room, continue smiling at least a little bit while I walk the horseshoe and definitely smile even more when I approach a girl and say Hello to her. That is the one thing you didn't mention that I believe really does make a big difference when it comes to Farangs. It might not matter when the most grim-faced, serious looking old Japanese dudes slouch over to the hottest girl in the room. But we Farangs need to assure these girls we are light-hearted, not too critical and ready to have a pleasant if not a genuinely fun time, imo. Smile. A lot.
Guess this should have been in the General or Bangkok Reports thread. But the question was asked here.
Fourteen years since my first trip to Bangkok and I have just booked the Nana Hotel for a couple of nights at the end of the month. .
It is an itch that has to be scratched, although in the past I have had breakfast there, been to the nightclub, Angels? And had a massage and ball shaving with a lovely called Pimm.
I have read various forums and booked with the hotel direct a Superior room which at 1690 inc tax and brekkie is a good deal for the location.
I just don't fancy walking too far in the Bangkok heat and I certainly will not have to walk too far from The Nana. .
Fourteen years since my first trip to Bangkok and I have just booked the Nana Hotel for a couple of nights at the end of the month. The location is ground zero for lower Suk punting. Close to: Nana Entertainment Plaza, streetwalkers / freelancers, BJ bars, naughty soi 7-1, Bamboo and Analisa massage shops.
The Nana BTS is a short walk. Nice pool area and decent buffet breakfast. The hotel gets mixed reviews here, but has had some recent room renovations and IMO is good VFM. The superior room booking should get you a Sukhumvit view room on a high floor. If you don't fancy the place just move on to another.
SL.
So decided on the S Sukhumvit Suites based on feedback from Allover, ForumulaOneFan and Raghubar. Thanks a ton fellas.
Will post feedback after my visit, coming up in exactly 30 days from today.
How is Admiral Premier Suites. Premier Studio, 1 King Bed with Balcony. ? Booked it, have a short window to cancel as it is for the next coming days.
I just don't fancy walking too far in the Bangkok heat and I certainly will not have to walk too far from The Nana. .Was a little hot earlier today. 5 PM is 30 C and cloudy. Will come down to 26 C by late this evening and 25 in the morning.
It's not so bad. You just don't want to walk around too much in middle of the day when sunny. In that situation get there quick on motorcycle or use aircon taxi or BTS. Yet I still see plenty of guys sitting in open air bars in the daytime. I don't see that many guys are allergic to warm weather. I actually hate freezing cold weather much worse than Bangkok heat.
It's not really the hottest time of year. Bangkok is never the hottest part of Thailand. The smog filters the sunlight so it is not so bad when it hits you directly.

Before I moved here I lived in a very cold climate. It took me awhile to develop an approach that works for me. Here are a few suggestions that I've found helpful.
1) Don't keep your air-con at 18 Celsius. Find the highest temp that you are comfortable at and keep the setting there, for me it's 25-26 Celsius. If you keep your room at a very low temp the shock of humidity / heat when you leave it will be perceived as being much worse.
2) Take your time walking, no extra points given for arriving 5-10 minutes earlier. Most are here on vacation, so what's the rush? Find a pace that works for you. Thais will always find the shadiest route to their destination and there is actual science behind that strategy.
3) Stay well hydrated (sorry, beer doesn't count).
4) Light-colored and light-weight clothing can help.
Anyone else with suggestions?

Randy Murican.I live in California with outstanding weather nearly every day. The heat in Thailand just kills me and I find myself diving into 7-11's when I walk just to cool off for a minute or two. Sounds crazy I know. Being overweight doesn't make it any easier. All of my shirts (polo shirts, t-shirts, and short sleeve shirts) are moisture wicking. They are mainly Adidas, Nike, and Reebok brand and the moisture wicking really works. My shirts never show sweat or moisture even though I perspire a lot in the heat. I see people wearing t-shirts soaked in sweat. Doesn't happen to me. I usually visit Thailand sometime between May and September.
I always book hotels close to the BTS or MRT. The farthest away form the BTS I stayed was the Mercure Soi 11 on my last trip. It's still not far from the BTS and I love Soi 11. I keep the room temp at 24 degrees. Randy Murican's suggestions are good too.

Randy Murican.I will try the air-con tip next time I'm in Asia. Usually I crank it down to 16-18 degrees and lock the remote in the safe so the cleaners can't adjust it. I stayed in Bali for 2 months one time and towards the end no A/C and using a blanket at night so we do acclimatize pretty easily.
Thanks.

Randy Murican.Nice.
When I first met GF we used to have arguments about the air-con. 25 C was the lowest temperature she could stand, and 23 C was the highest I could really stand for sleeping. In the end we had to compromise on 24 C. Eventually I got used to being warmer than my office temperatures in home country. LOL.
I am still amazed to see so many Farangs wearing boots or even running gym shoes. I wonder about sweaty smelly feet. I mostly stick to sandals unless something more formal called for or doing exercise. Strangely Thais tell me that wearing sandals with a strap around the back of heel to hold them on securely is considered to be more classy than those without (which are considered as not so different to flip-flops). Hard for me to figure this thinking, but that is what I was told.
One older buddy of mine used to walk so much around Bangkok that he was too worn out to want any sex sessions. Now that was crazy. A few years later I notice he even struggles to get up the stairs. It is pretty stupid to walk any great distance around Bangkok. In bright sun, even 5 minutes walk can be a good limit, just from getting too sweaty. 20 years ago I used to walk a lot more and it did seem to help keep the weight down (maybe). I recall losing significant weight on first long holiday in Thailand. Too busy to eat much perhaps.

Hello friends,
Can anybody revert if Holiday Inn express is guest friendly or do they create problems for guests?
Use an umbrella to block the sun when it's too bright. And make sure it's a pink umbrella with floral or cartoon character motifs. 555 One has to look after the lovely white skin.

Hello friends,
Can anybody revert if Holiday Inn express is guest friendly or do they create problems for guests? On Soi 11? That is way down at the end plenty of options closer, unless your going to the clubs. Not sure about guest friendly part but if one wasn't that would be it I'd ask them first.
Hello all,
I'm coming to Bangkok on the 27th staying in the Salil hotel, anyone any views of this place, girl friendly? I see is closer to Eden and Dr BJ, is that a good or bad thing?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
All Natty's suggestions were very good you can be sure.
Was best a few years ago when was little known.Looking at Column again I have the impression that the furniture and interior is rather old fashion. This and the higher price makes me decide to choose between Admiral Premiere and Mermaid. The only downside I can find in both rooms of AP and MM is the lack of an iron which is rather odd especially when you notice that the Admiral 1 BR Suite has a washing machine. That's a plus for Park Plaza that provides the iron as a standard in their room facilities. I guess I can ask for an iron in case I need one.
The only thing important for me is a spacious room with some nice interior and a bathtub is great addition. I don't bother about a hotel's pool (Never had a glimpse at Mermaid and Park Plaza pool), or their rooftop views nor am I interested in breakfast. I also had the feeling that Column was a tiny bit too far out. I'm not a big fan of taxi's or motorbikes and don't really use the BTS that often. Thinking about it; another plus for Admiral is that it's still not that far away from Phrom Pong in case I'm interested to try out one of the MP's. There are also some good joints to eat in between Asoke and the MP's. If somebody's into Japanese you should give Masu Maki & Sushi bar a try. Cheap but oh so tasty! You can find it in Soi Sukhumvit 39. A hidden gem if you ask me. That brings me to the point that Jackson should have a sub-folder in General Reports - "Where to eat before and / or after sex with / without your bird" .
Having stayed in both Park Plaza and Mermaid I'm pretty sure that if I would pick Admiral I won't be disappointed.

Having stayed in both Park Plaza and Mermaid I'm pretty sure that if I would pick Admiral I won't be disappointed.Well each to their own. However let's get realistic here. Column is miles higher than both Mermaid and AP, for standard and class, also for height, and probably the price. LOL I can't say I noticed how old or modern the furniture was. It is 500 m walk from Soi Cowboy (Asoke end) although have to cross Sukhumvit at the lights or use overpass. About same distance to AP maybe very slightly more. Mermaid is 650 m away. So there is no way that Column is far.
If want to go to Snow White, it may be a little too far to walk (1.7km) from Column or AP, about the same. Mermaid is definitely a lot closer (only 1 km). I would take motorcycle from Column through back Sois since taxi would be slower than walking. Motorcycle would still take at least 10 mins I guess. Would walk if not too hot.
If you want cheaper value for money, then Mermaid is the go. If you want high class, then choose Column (at higher price), whether you need pool or breakfast or not. AP used to be great value for money but I suspect not so special any more. Does have a good refridgerator and mini kitchen though.
I have been looking for good priced quality Japanese since my old favourite closed so I will give Masu Maki a go. I hope they do not have crab / seafood stick. LOL I see on internet pics they do (but luckily on not many dishes). I want the "real" Japanese food. The artistry of the pics and "sweet" looking brown sauce splooged on the plates is a slight concern to me. Sauces should be separate (and optional). I trust it is full of Japanese customers but fun and not stodgy place? I probably have to request no sweet sauce put directly on the sushi or other dishes. Not into sweet sauces at all.
Off back to Bangkok in a couple of weeks for a visa run. I've booked into the new Hyatt Place on Suk 24. It's a bit of a way from Suk itself but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. Pricesd under 3,000 baht which is cheaper than the other Hyatts in town. Stayed at the Park Hyatt last trip, that place is really nice but pretty expensive.
Well each to their own.
Not into sweet sauces at all.I have the impression that you're even more pick about food than women! LOL.
The place is very tiny, not that Japanese looking and I would go there only for lunch mostly due to the fact that I'm going to MP's during that time of the day. I think that for the price you pay there you can't expect too much. As for myself I'm more of a nigiri fan but I'm most definitely not a connoisseur. The maki attracted me and I wasn't disappointed.
If you're more into finer kind of dining then you might give Sushi Masato a go in the neighbourhood of Sukhumvit Soi 31. Rather hard to find as you can't tell it's a restaurant when you look at it. Was lucky that they had a spot left that night and the Omakase was excellent according to my taste. Problem is that you pay a price for it. Question is that it's worth it or not. I had quite a while ago a great salmon skin salad in Tenyuu Sushi Bar in the Emquartier shopping mall. Not sure it still exist though.
Remember that I'm giving some recommendations of Japanese food between Mermaid and Snow White only. I bet there must be other Japanese joints that are better. I'm happy to hear if that's the case.
Apologies to all that thought to read about hotels. I won't be doing it again. LOL.

Hi,
I will be inviting three girls to join me for a few hours in my hotel. Can anyone recommend from personal experience what hotels may be girl friendly of a foursome.
Considering Salil, Dream, Nana Hotel but would welcome suggestions.
Thanks.

Apologies to all that thought to read about hotels. I won't be doing it again. LOL.No problem. I like to hear about any worthwhile Japanese restuarants, not too touristy gimmicky. I am only slightly finicky about food really. If I am going out to eat Japanese I want proper Japanese food. Same like I would not bother to go to a Thai restuarant outside Thailand if the food does not resemble the real thing. In Germany was very hard to find a Thai restaurant that was good, not impossible. I did find a very good Japanese one though (popular with Japanese). French restuarants in France were a mixed bad some very good, some extremely basic and boring. I have also experienced Italian restuarants in Italy, so I know when it's good and when rather ordinary. Not many worthwhile Italian restaurants in Thailand. I have been to a really brilliant Tapas restaurant (OS), so after that, most Tapas restaurants don't cut it.
To me it's not worth paying good money and using valuable time to eat in a restaurant if the quality is not good. I don't eat at KFC, Maccas, Pizza Hut, etc. It's a waste of time. Pizza in Thailand Thai style is very bad. Fuji restaurant is Jap food for the Thais, but is not really quality I am used to. In my home country I only ever bothered to eat out in quality Japanese or French restaurants, or top class Chinese seafood, since most other places are a waste of time. Also my regular dinner partner was a chef, who was only interested in eating high quality also.
I like to cook my own food so that I can know there is no sugar in it. Yet I do eat Thai food on the street. Can't stand a very sweet Phat Thai though.
I have a low carbs diet so that means no rice, no nigiri, not much Maki, but Sashimi yes of course, tempura limited, and no sweet terriyaki sauce. Plenty of good things remain on the Japanese menu. My GF only eats raw Salmon for Sashimi no other types, but I like Tuna, octopus, and eel as well. We would never dream of doing "Omakase" meaning leave it up to the chef what to serve us. We have our favourite things.
Finding really good Japanese for a really good price has been difficult. There used to be a good one behind the Villa Markt in Soi 33/1. A below ground one in Soi Asoke is not bad, but very large and a lot of customers and a bit pricey. A very small one near the Admiral Premier is not bad but a long time since I went there. There used to be a great amazing fun Japanese restaurant between Soi 24/1 and Soi 26. Owner was Japanese with Thai wife. Was recommended by an MP girl and we had dinner there, good food and a blast. Unfortunately that restaurant changed owners, and my next experience there was crap.
High class Japanese in Emporium but pricey. So I am looking for a new budget Japanese restaurant still with exceptional quality. Ha ha!
I fussy with girls too. I want special quality for Looks, attitude, performance, everything. Value for money if possible would also be nice. LOL harder to do.
The other day I was tempted to eat at "Tuuk lae Dee" at Foodland Soi 5, very late. Previous time may have been 20 years ago. LOL What I got was very disappointing so I won't repeat. I made mistake of ordering farang food. Yes cheap but not good.
We have to face up to many overseas type cuisine places in Bangkok not being much good., but some good ones do exist. Even my Sports Pub serves pretty good quality food.

Thanks. For such a crowd Nana might, but I don't have any evidence, ask for a joiner fee. I recall having read something in the past but not 100% sure. You can ask the reception to be on safe side. Just put the question properly like "any issue if I bring a couple of girls in for a few hours. ". Be politely assertive, don't induce them to think an orgy is going to happen with noise and troubles. A 3-some is pretty usual so if they have an issue they might state the limit to how many girls, like "it's ok, but no more than 2" or they might say "no problem, just leave the ID down" which could hint there is no real limit.
Play it smart, don't parade too much, enter the lobby in a chatting way with the girls, head to the lifts, don't make too much noise to attract attention. There is a "security" in front of the lifts, but never bothers if you walk in like at home.
Keep your room key handy to show you are a guest.
You might want to check a ST hotel like an Hotel not far from soi 4.
Certainly Nana king beds can host a 4-some. And the rooms are not strictly tiny.
They have seen everything and most of staff seems to be there from day #1 if you look at them. So go imagine.
Nice.
I am still amazed to see so many Farangs wearing boots or even running gym shoes. I wonder about sweaty smelly feet.
20 years ago I used to walk a lot more and it did seem to help keep the weight down (maybe). I recall losing significant weight on first long holiday in Thailand. Too busy to eat much perhaps.I can agree on boots, but today's textile technology offers very breathable running shoes and outsoles give great support for long walks if you know what and how to chose. As long as you buy original brands, not the fakes, and you don't go the cheapest.
This might explain why your friend had walking issues. Often it is down to wrong shoes. And weight!
A good pace twenty minute walking on daily basis will burn some calories as long as you then don't overdo with eating: a diet is good as long as you help the body by burning some calories in a proactive way. If you just reduce the food or calories you will not achieve much as the body quickly adapts to live with less income to preserve current reserves.

Nana Hotel was extremely lad back in the past. I recall a LB getting in the lift to go up accompanied by a guest many years ago. I got turned off at the time, and did not want to stay there any more.
I once took 3 girls to my room at Admiral premier with no problems.
Of course I had a shortage of towels LOL.
You might want to tip the room cleaning staff to give you double the normal towels ration. LOL.

Some things may help you to adjust (acclimatize) to warmer temperatures.
Randy Murican. Those are good suggestions. I'm originally from a northern USA climate. When my family moved to a hot, humid area they eventually gave me one additional piece of advice: You will always be a little damp from your own sweat. Don't even try to feel dry, it won't happen. Nothing physical about that suggestion, purely psychological. It helps me.
Hi,
A bunch of friends (8 of us) are planning a weekend in Bangkok. We wanted to book a large suite (or two) which will accommodate all of us as well as be GF. Any suggestions?
Also any suggestions about where we can get a few girls to party with us in the room?
Thanks.

Randy Murican.I second that about light weight clothing. And by light weight, go for the lightest material you can. Not all short-sleeve shirts are created equal. Avoid those knit polos, except after the sun goes down. Knits are too heavy. Many chinos and khakis are very thin and light. Just select them carefully and pay attention to the fabric when you are trying on pants. The most comfortable shirt I wore in Thailand (end of November, early December) was something cheap I bought from Old Navy. As you know, they use cheap thin fabric, which is one reason why their clothing is so cheap (and disposable so you can toss them if you don't want to take dirty laundry back home). It was actually cooler than the t-shirts I wore.
Another tip for controlling sweat. Good old fashioned talc powder. Back in ye old times when there was no A/C, this was a staple in warm climates.
When I was in BKK last November. After every shower, I would towel myself completely dry and applied deodorant. Then I would generously dust all my sweaty regions with talc powder. You can buy small travel sized bottles at Walmart and other places that stock travel size toiletries. If you are needlessly scared of getting cancer from talc, then opt for corn starch baby powder. It does a good job of absorbing sweat within reason. Then I'd spray myself with a cologne that women seemed to like and head out the door, and never worried about being a stinky farang!

Thanks.Once girls know what you are planning, they might be scared off. I have heard stories, particularly relating to Indians for some reason, about about a guy taking a girl back to the room, where the girl discovered a whole group of men wanted to bang her for the original price. These things scare girls for sure. If a group of guys wants to organise a group of girls, that might be more acceptable to some girls (but not all). If you get girls that know you and your group already, that will be easier. You have to develop the element of trust.
I have no clue how much money girls want to be involved in a gang bang.

Definitely girl-friendly. Stayed there 2 nights October 2017. Had an in-call (Smooci) one night and took a girl with me the next. No fuss by reception nor extra charge both nights.
Soi Cowboy is a couple of blocks away within walking distance. May need a taxi on your way back to the hotel with a girl late at night.
Hotel quality was average. Sheets, pillows and towels were clean but bathroom floor had some grime not cleaned properly. Soi 31 has a few restaurants nearby.

Thanks. If you really want to make it a great time for everyone, you wouldn't want to start it off with a nasty surprise to the girl (s) when they arrive in your suite. You're highly likely to have a much better time with them, if they know in advance what to expect and are happy to oblige. You could try reputed escort agencies and make your requirements clear up front. Also, 8 is a big gang, so you'll want to have enough girls for a decent M-F ratio, and not have one or two girls among 8 men.
Also, it looks odd and rather threatening to see a bunch of 3 or more guys going out in a pack to hunt. If you guys do go out to find your girls from bars / gogos, you'll do better by splitting up and going in smaller groups such as 2-3 maximum.

This is a fresh new building with very spacious apartment-style rooms that have a mini kitchen and a tiny living-room-style sofa area. Very clean throughout and staff were friendly / pleasant / helpful. Highly recommended.
It's very convenient for Nana Plaza (walking distance to get there and back, or a 100 Baht flat-rate taxi late at night if you have a girl from Nana coming back to your room). Girls had to leave their ID at reception, but no extra charge as I had already paid for a double room for two. Not sure if there would have been a charge if the room was meant for single occupancy.

No gang bangs planned here. We are looking at a party with 5 - 6 girls at the same time because not everyone is into mongering!. But we would like the girls to stay longer. I guess a big group going into Soi Cowboy is not going to work that well. I will try the escort agencies and tell them exactly what we are looking for.
Will also check out the Grand President. Are the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit and Somerset Lake Point GF? They both have suites. I am assuming that the Grand President is.
Thanks again.

I will be staying at the Marriott Executive Apartment hotel at Suk Thonglor. I take it that the location is good. How about the hotel? I have a reservation for an apartment where I plan to have loads of fun!

I will be staying at the Marriott Executive Apartment hotel at Suk Thonglor. I take it that the location is good. How about the hotel? I have a reservation for an apartment where I plan to have loads of fun!I have stayed at the Marriott Thonglor Exec Apartment Hotel a number of times and posted positive reviews on it. I think it is a very good hotel. The 1-bedroom apartment is comfortable and stylish. The pool is in the sun most of the day. The high-quality breakfast buffet is large and varied. The rooftop bar is a great place to bring a girl for a nightcap. Lastly, the hotel is very girl friendly. They never batted an eye even when I brought back 2 or 3 girls at a time.
The location is very good for me although I am sure some would not like it. The hotel is a 1.5 blocks from the BTS station so it is relatively easy to get to Cowboy and Nana. In addition, the Thonglor and Ekkamai area has a lot great restaurants, bars, and clubs, but not the point & shoot variety found on Soi 4 and Soi 11. This neighborhood is more upscale. I, for one, like putting a little distance between myself and all the noise of lower Sukhumvit.
I will be staying at Marriott Thonglor Exec Apartment Hotel again for one week on my next trip. I am also booked for one week each at the Radisson Blu, Column, Grande Centre Point Ratchadamri, and the new Hyatt Place. I like to spend a week in different various locations when I visit BKK. It is amazing how a small change in address gives a different perspective making things seem fresh and new.
On that note, I also recommend the Marriott Exec Apartment Park Hotel on Soi 24. The Marriot Park Hotel's 1 bedroom apartment is nicer IMO and larger than the Marriott Thonglor 1 bedroom exec apartment. But the Marriott Park Swimming Pool is morning sun only and the Park restuarant is not as good. The Marriott Park is located 3/4 of the way down Soi 24 in a quiet highrise residential neighborhood, but I kind of like that. It is very close to the Oily Massage shops and a 10 minute walk to the BTS or a 90 second motorcycle taxi ride. When I am in a hurry I take a motorcycke taxi to Cowboy. It is an invigorating experience. 555. I have stayed at the Marriott Park Exec Hotel many times as well, but this next trip I decided to try the new Hyatt Place Hotel instead with it's somewhat similar location.
I have stayed at the Marriott Park Exec Hotel many times as well, but this next trip I decided to try the new Hyatt Place Hotel instead with it's somewhat similar location.I stayed at the Hyatt place over the weekend. My initial thought when booking was that it was a bit far from Sukhumvit, according to the maps on their website, but it isn't as far as shown. It's opposite the Ariston Hotel and only a few minutes walk to the Emporium, you can go into here to get to the BTS if it's a bit hot outside.
I had a larger than normal room and thought the hotel was excellent value, around 2,700++ baht / night. The reception is on the Lobby floor so you can bypass it completely when bringing girls back. For some this is not necessarily a good thing. I assume you can register guests as well, I didn't bother since I had 2 girls come during the day, on different days. If you're a Hyatt member then I's a cheaper way of getting in the nights stays per year to keep whatever level you're on. I've stayed at all 3 Hyatts in BKK now.

Did ask them about the joiner fee, they replied for time being no charges for that.
You mean can bypass the reception at lobby floor?
Did ask them about the joiner fee, they replied for time being no charges for that.
You mean can bypass the reception at lobby floor? No, I didn't ask about a joiner fee and didn't pay one either.
Yes, you can bypass the lobby. The entrance is on the ground floor whilst the lobby is one floor up. From the ground floor you can go straight to your floor.
The hotel is just down from the Hilton and across from the Ariston. Taxi drivers don't know where it is and the sign is small. The hotel itself looks more like a condo, so it's easy to miss. If you take a taxi look out for the Ariston hotel and get the driver to stop there.
I visit BKK this week. Wish to know good hotel for girls. Preferably 4/ star.

Sofitel the list goes on unless price is an issue.
The last time I was in the big mango, I stayed over at Adelphi Suites. Brilliant place with the exception that they have all non smoking rooms. I love their friendliness, breakfast and overall service. I remember paying around 1500 B a night when I was last there maybe 6 months ago. Tried searching to get a similar price and I'm shocked to see that they've nearly doubled their rack rates.
Is there a similar hotel I can go to? Budget around 1800 B a night and hopefully with a great view? I like to look out when I'm not with a girl.

I visit BKK this week. Wish to know good hotel for girls. Preferably 4/ star.Perhaps you are asking what hotel has a fishbowl with ladies to choose. I have seen this in hotels in Jakarta and in Phnom Pen but I do not recall seeing this in Bangkok. In Bangkok you find ladies in bars, in massage and on the street and perhaps bring them to your room. Also in hotel lounges. Maybe that is what you are asking. Maybe you are asking what hotels allow you to bring a girl to the room. 99% is the answer to that. Maybe you are asking about short time hotels that are just for sex and not for staying. Please clarify.

I don't rally look at budget hotels these days, I'm usually only ther for a few days so the extra to go better is only a couple of thousand baht.

Any high floor on a very tall Hotel can have very good views.
You can use Hotel booking filters to set your price, and check on map to see if location is good for you.
Omni Tower might be a good option for you if can get a high floor. For a budget Hotel I like Mermaid as very good value, but is probably slightly over your 1800 price.

Kiria123, you sir have a full inbox so I will answer your question here as best I can:
Is the gym in the hotel any good? /KirsiaWhile I have not tried the gym, I have walked past it numerous times (every day in fact) on my way to the pool area. It seems very popular among the guests and there are always friendly Marriott staff present to assist. Therefore I think you will find the gym more than adequate.
Any feedback on this? Getting 25% off so I would like to check it out. Anyone stayed there?

Will do a report later but loving night 1 in patpong.

Will do a report later but loving night 1 in patpong.Too late now, but there are plenty of reasonable Hotels near to Chong Nonsri BTS station. It is walkable from Pat Pong but perhaps not a short walk.
Fx Sathorn is probably 300 m or so from Pat Pong.
Fx Sathorn, Holiday Inn, even iResidence is probably okay Furama Silom.
Going more up market there is Montien north of Pat Pong and Dusit Thani to East of Silom.
So I don't see the big problem. Obviously one does not want to stay right at Pat Pong.
The Strand in PP is usable as a ST Hotel but impossible to stay at due to low class and noise of the rock bands in the area.

I really like this hotel, as it only cost $70.00 cnd / night, has a pool and a small gym. Also, most importantly its girl friendly. Walked in and out with several different girls, and not even an acknowledgment from the front desks. Rooms are nice and clean, and only a few minute walk to Soi Cowboy action. ASOK station and Terminal 21 are only a short walk away as well.
Are there any hotels that have normal beds? On my last trip, I stayed at two different hotels where the beds were 3 feet off the ground and very soft. Sleeping on the beds was a problem and gave me back spasms. Has anyone else experienced such problems? Does anyone have any experience where the beds were "normal" by US standards and "firmer"?

I find the beds at all the Hyatt's to be great, but you pay a bit more to stay there.

The Dynasty Inn is a budget hotel in Soi 4 that has rather firm beds. The Dawin in the same soi is a bit more expensive and has firm beds too but the mattresses there have soft top layers which make them better IMO.

The Marriott has soft mattresses ie American style beds. The Grande Center Point T21 has firm mattresses ie Japanese style beds.

Soft (US) style or Hard (Japan) style?
Stayed here last week just to try out this new hotel, girl friendly, can bypass lobby if you have concern of that. About 300 m to bts phrom phong at soi 24.
Room a bit dark and bed is firm.
Still prefer Novotel Ploenchit because of the room setting and softer bed.
After some consideration I finally chose again to stay in Hotel Mermaid in Bangkok which is probably my 3rd time. Hotel Mermaid (Soi 29) is near Soi Cowboy. Corner suites are in good shape for a very reasonable priced. King size and rather soft bed plus big bathroom including bathtub. Asked for a iron which they have provided me during my whole stay. Just behind the bed there's a blue T5 lamp that gives a nice atmosphere when you're doing your thing. Hotel is girl friendly and they ask your girl to leave the ID behind which ain't a problem for me. I can't comment about their BF and other facilities such as the pool as I have never used nor even seen them. Stayed there for about a week for about USD 85.00,- a night.
Anyone know of any hotels that have proper bed mirrors, maybe a swing, or a sex chair?
Be it short time hotels or not.
Preferably near Suk, because the only options I could find in Bangkok were really far from Suk.
