Any recommendations for a hotel near the action with good outside facilities?
I was thinking of a reasonable size pool with sun loungers that wasn't too cramped.
Too be honest at my age I need bit of a rest between the action so somewhere outside to relax would be useful.
Any ideas please?

First time to BKK in November. Looking for nice but not over the top as I don't plan on spending time in the room except for sleep and. Nice pool with pool bar is a must. Obviously girl friendly. Any suggestions helpful as the number of choices is overwhelming.
TIA.
Happy Hunting.

Snook. It's a good hotel and I stay there frequently. Definitely girl friendly.
The pool is not large and not beautifully decorated, it's long and thin so swimming laps is fine. There is a bar at the pool.
Just curious, The Dynasty INN (as opposed to the Dynasty Grande Soi 6) which is right beside NP never gets a mention on any Guest friendly review site or forum, which I find weird. Is there something particularly wrong with it? All other hotels around get mentioned such as the majestic suites, nana hotel etc etc.
It seems to have a good rating on booking.com etc, has anyone stayed there this year at all?
Just looking for a cheap Short stay base while mongering around Nana but I still want it to be relatively clean, comfortable, air-conditioned!
Thanks.

This is the old Dream hotel, right? If it was Dream then it's a nice place but I haven't been since pre-COVID. Free tuk tuk to Terminal 21 and Asoke BTS/MRT. Good location for Thermae guys. Most girls won't complain too much for walking 5 minutes.

I didn't know there were free tuk tuk, but they are normally available on the street just outside building #1.

Thanks. The Dynasty Inn has been my favorite hotel for many years. But that was pre-Covid, to be honest. The last time I stayed there was around 2017, I think. Then I moved to The Dawin, further down Soi 4, which is also part of the Dynasty Group. The Dawin is a bit more expensive, but is a much newer hotel with nicer rooms. And more quiet, if you can get a room at the backside.
The Dynasty Inn has two buildings: the first one is the so-called 'old building', which is facing Soi 4, and the second one is behind it and is called the 'new building' (although it's not really that new anymore). The rooms at the backside of the old building, and the rooms in the new building are the most quiet, although in the evening you will hear the thumping of the music in NEP.
Back in 2017 the rooms in the new building were nicer and less worn-out than most of the rooms in the old building. But they started renovating the old building around that time, so if they have continued doing that it should be better now.
It's a good budget hotel, and girl friendly. Just don't expect much comfort or luxury. The beds are rather hard for example.
There's also a Dynasty Inn in Pattaya, which is better (and newer) than the one in Bangkok IMO.
I did walk past the other day thinking that looks like a nice hotel but motorbike noise is a no-go IMO. And I actually don't even know why the government doesn't do anything about this as it's not really a feature at many other Asian cities.
I've found a good deal at Alt Hotel Nana, will report back soon. Looks right in the thick of the action and only $40.Zip and maybe even tape shut all you luggage, if not you will be loaded and now traveling with lots of cockroaches! Been discussed many times before, hotel will always have a room full of cockroaches, yes even the new rooms and breakfast area! Good luck if you don't mind sleeping with the roaches, look in the cracks of the refrigerator and you will see many, maybe good for some people but for me a no go!! Worked to hard in my life to settle for staying in a cockroach infested hotel! However if in need of a clean restroom in lobby while walking in the area if Great for that!! The restaurant in lobby also has lots of cockroaches even when you open the menu they come out! Very very sad but true, but the location is great LOL!!

Bangkok: Stayed at S15 and The Landmark. I would recommend both. S15 a bit cheaper with good central location in between Nana and cowboy. Landmark was much fancier and right next to nana plaza.
Pattaya: Stayed at Aya boutique hotel. It was good for bringing girls back since it's so close to walking street, but the hotel wasn't very nice. It looked better online IMO. Also did a night at the Arbour hotel which was much nicer, but sorta far from the action. Can't really recommend either.
All hotels were girl friendly. BTW I managed to snag some surprisingly good deals on last minute bookings, mostly through agoda. I am talking like 50-60% off on some of these rooms. Maybe I just got lucky.
I think you are confusing the Nana Hotel with the Alt Hotel Nana. Sychip1 was staying in the latter.Hi, bud no I'm talking about nana hotel where the girls stand in front of, it's been mentioned many many times about the roach; problem in the hotel, even the new rooms had problem with from the very beginning, now if they cleaned the problem up recently (doubtful) well good for them! A real shame because of location and even their pool is nice for daytime relaxing, hope this helps, and to each their own, I'm just giving my experience!
If stay in one of the older rooms, easy just look in the seal on refrigerator door and you will see all different sizes of them run!
I was there in June, it will be my go to place.Hard to knock. Reasonable price for quality accom. No issues with girls or multiple. Quiet. Yeah pool and gum not great but adequate, BUT am trying Park Royal Suites next trip for bigger rooms and closer to action. Want to walk.
Anyone stayed recently in Park Royal Suites. Formerly Phachara Suites?

Hi, bud no I'm talking about nana hotel where the girls stand in front ofI know, but the original poster was talking about the Alt Hotel Nana, which is another hotel.

I am lucky in that my employer puts me up in the Marriott for when it actually comes to sleep time.
Thanks.

I know, but the original poster was talking about the Alt Hotel Nana, which is another hotel.Yes I got it now, sorry for the confusion bud! Now at least we're updated on the nana hotel, LOL! And very much like you dynasty inn was my go to for a long time before Covid, absolutely best people watching while sipping on a beer or a cocktail! Mattresses were hard for my liking, always had maid put 3 or so comfortable mattresses cover over!
Depends on how you define "closer".I may be wrong but closer to me means Soi 4- I seem to get hot when I walk too far in Bangkok.

NI.If you mean this hotel https://www.agoda.com/partners/partnersearch.aspx?pcs=1&cid=1904956&hid=165701 I was there 3 months ago. Close to Nana Plaza area (brief walk), big rooms with full size fridge, bed was cozy. Large balcony. Staff friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, you have 7/11, pharmacy, bars, pubs everything in about 2 mintues walk.
Has anyone ever been to this hotel? https://www.agoda.com/partners/partnersearch.aspx?pcs=1&cid=1904956&hid=37462759 It's brand new and I was thinking to book it for my next stay. It's the new one not the older at Phloen Chit.
I will be landing early morning at around 2: AM and I will reach Bangkok city at around 4 AM.
I have booked a guest friendly apartment on soi 10. The issue is the apartment will have guests and will only leave at around 11 Am.
I need a decent lodging from 4 am to 11:30 am. Nearby to just rest, keep my stuffs safe. This is the first time I am landing so early.
Earlier, if I arrived in BKK at 7 AM, I would keep my stuff in the hotel and walk to HunnyBunny and reach there by 8 am and get a decent massage after.
Getting fresh and smash someone and go back to the room and get a good sleep.
This time, I am reaching too early.
I tried looking in some of the the booking apps, but I just couldn't find anything that's suitable.

Royal Express Inn on soi 8 was less than a thousand bahts when I used to stop by that shithole a few years ago. It's shit but in your case it might do it for just a few hours (located right in front of Bamboo massage).

It's the new one not the older at Phloen Chit. The new Intercontinental Hotel looks spiffy and I am sure it is a real 5-star hotel, but an indoor swimming pool in BKK is a huge negative for me, so I will not use my hotel points or free voucher nights here. Interestingly, the old Intercontinental Hotel has a rooftop pool. It is too small for the size of the hotel and as a result not near the best hotel swimming pool in BKK, but at least it is outdoor and they have an adjacent roof top pool bar so I would rather use my hotel points at the older Intercontinental Hotel despite its location which isn't that bad if you want to barhop Patpong.
The Renaissance hotel has the same indoor pool issue. It is pretty good 5-star hotel. I stayed there twice, my 1st & last time, 555, because there are better Marriot hotel choices in BKK all with very nice outdoor pools. I like to stay at both Marriot Executive apartment hotels for example.
Based on the replies I got from here, I have booked three hotels and I will finalize one based on their replies because The two hotels mentioned here didn't reply to my messages.
Still, thanks for your inputs.
Thank you: Mogwai and Mogwai.
I always spend two months in BKK and Pattaya during the slow season. This year in July and August my regular hotels in the Asoke area were fully booked or very near full and prices were 25% higher vs last year. I usually don't book hotels more than a few days in advance, but I wouldn't recommend that any more regardless of the season. With high season approaching I would suggest booking BKK hotels a bit earlier. Pattaya wasn't any different than in years past.
As an FYI I usually stay at Mercure 11, Ramada 11, Eleven Hotel, Continent Hotel, and Sukhumvit Suites. I am staying less on Soi 11 these days and more near Asoke.

Since majority of these hotels have been taken over by consortiums, there is a nexus between them to fix the prices. It's close to impossible to get the.
Amazing deals like we used to get in the past during off seasons. It has been like this ever since the lockdown was lifted. Though I did get good deals since then, I also noticed.
It's getting more and more rare to find good deals.

It's getting more and more rare to find good deals.I've seen it as well, I go to Bangkok every 2-3 weeks.
There are bargains to be had but you have may have to go further afield. If you want to stay in Asok area where every Tom dick and sally choose then I've had many regular places too which have gone up. For example I had some bargains in Ratchada or Ploen chit but the dynamic pricing means it can double the next day even if weekday.

Hello all,
I am planning to visit BKK for only a quick 2 nights, before I used to stay hotel near NANA entertainment plaza but this time which to explore those massage parlour such as cherries, Hunny bunny's etc. I understand that location also near the Soi Cowboy and BTS Phromphong station, Wish to find a nice hotel near that area for an easy access for the girls to come to my hotel for a private service. Will much appreciated for your kind input. Thanks MD.
Looking for a budget hotel near Thermae. Wish to take lady and walk to the hotel. Around $40 is in my mind. Replay will be highly appreciated.

Budget Hotel near ThermaeObvious reply is Ruamchitt upstairs. If a Thermae girl says not to you after you tell her you're staying upstairs then you know she doesn't want to go with you EVER. For the price I don't know a better option if Thermae is your target pick up spot.
I've switched over to S15 Sukhumvit now but it's not the same price range at all. Night Hotel was another recently discussed in the S15 price range.

I've switched over to S15 Sukhumvit now but it's not the same price range at all. Night Hotel was another recently discussed in the S15 price range.I really like S15 hotel too, the starting prices at the moment are from 3,000 baht upwards, so not budget. I paid 4,000 for an upgraded room. Rooms are very nice and every girl I've brought back has been very impressed with the room. Breakfast is included but I wasn't impressed with it too be honest. Tom Tom coffee is right next door and is open 24 hrs. It's also a good pick up spot between 4-6 am which I discovered!!
S15 is guest friendly, they have it written in their 'in-room information book', they write 'we don't charge a joiner fee'. They even have condoms in the room together with full length floor mirror and my room had kind of a love chair too! Most rooms have a walk in large shower and separate bath / tub. The girls do have to leave their ID at reception and the reception will call up to you afterwards to make sure you are not lying dead in a pool of blood before letting the girl go. I actually quite like this feature now. I wouldn't trust any of these freelancers if you did accidently leave something valuable lying around.
The only thing I find about them is, the receptionists can be quite nosey. They never say anything when you bring a girl back but (especially during the day) it's mainly female receptionists and you feel them kind of judging you. The hotel is small enough in that the receptionists remember your name. There is a lot of regular tourists / business people staying in the hotel too.
However after about 9-10 pm it always seems to be male only receptionists and the type that wink and smile when you bring someone back and pat you on the back if she is hot. My recommendation is to get in with the night receptionists when you arrive first, maybe tip them on arrival for bringing your bags in. They will remember you and look after you from that point on.
For a budget option around Nana, I'll give a shout out to Dynasty Inn which is just a stone throw from Nana Plaza. Was 1600 Baht and was basic but clean, air conditioned and had a walk in decent shower. Free water and a fridge. Bed was basic but was comfy enough. But the big selling point was, the rooms are in a separate back building (to where the reception is) accessed by a side alley leading onto Soi 4, so you don't have to walk through reception to bring someone back. Also no card needed in the lift. However I am in two minds about this now, sometimes I think the security of the reception logging your guests is maybe a good thing.
I had a girl from TF, became like a stalker for a few days after I refused to see her a 2nd time. Sending me messages every 10 minutes which got more and more aggressive. She was hot but also had a few screws loose, definitely had issues that I was not interested in listening to!
Thanks. Hope that they won't ask any joiner fee?No joiner fee, I bring a lady almost everyday hah. When I book the room on Agoda its already set to 2 people but don't think it really matters.

Haven't tried Sky view, but friend you'll find virtually every hotel in BKK is Guest friendly.

Most hotels in Bangkok are girl friendly and look, no one in Bangkok is going to bother with you bringing a chick. Everyone knows why we're there. If you're a guy by yourself in Bangkok, especially if you're a farang type, the hotel staff will know why you're there. Better yet, just get a twin room. If not, just get the chick in from the back entrance. Most hotels will have one. If not, who cares if the front desk wants her ID? Safer for you anyway. Who cares about the walk of shame? Do you know people in Bangkok that you might bump into in that specific hotel? Jeez.
One time I was in Prague, and I'm old, and the chick I was with was young and hot, and she was clearly dressed as a working girl, and this even older tourist couple gave me some looks, so you know the wife was disgusted at me, but I could tell the husband was jealous of me. He wishes he was in my spot at that time. Cause I was about to bang this hot blond Czech babe in her early 20's, while he was stuck with his ugly old ass wife. So to hell with the eyes of shame that follow you around hotels, they just be jealous. You're the one that's having fun. We got just one sad, lonely and sometimes too long of a life to live, enjoy it when you can.
Like I always say:
"Sad is the man who can only be happy in the imagination of others".
Now, let's talk more about the amenities of the hotels in Bangkok, or the pros and cons of it's location, etc.

Most hotels in Bangkok are girl friendly and look, no one in Bangkok is going to bother with you bringing a chick. Was staying in Adelphi suites on Soi 8 back in May. I've stayed there many times and the policy use to be that they charged a joiner fee if you wanted 2 girls in your room. I emailed them shortly before my stay and they confirmed no charge provided they don't stay overnight.
I met a couple of girls from TF outside the hotel and took them to my room for a thresome. As I walked to the lifts the man on the reception desk smiled and said 'have a good evening sir'.

Will much appreciated for your kind input. Thanks MD.Might want to check out the Doubletree on Soi 26. Excellent location and in the heart of so many massage parlors and right next to 24/1. Many options to choose. You can access from rear of hotel (bypass reception) which is connected to the Hilton and be on Soi 24. When it it's hot out you can access Emporium right there at Soi 24, cut through mall and exit to skywalk to BTS or EnQuartier or the Emsphere. Cut through Emsphere and and right on Soi 22.
I decided to be a totally lazy monger, so I booked at the Ruamchitt. Never stayed their ever, ever before but Agoda gives it good reviews. Threesome may be in the cards, replete with real, not fake action. Like toys and 69 and maybe even a strap on spitroast (I get the mouth, thanks for caring).
But I forgot to ask how is the pool there? And breakfast? I just need eggs and toast.

Its certainly guest friendly and I think the pool and gym just got a refurb, they were closed when I was last there.

Only thing offputting is it always had a strong chemical smell. Not nice like bleach but sort of gag worthy. That's the only reason I didn't repeat there. If someone stays there please let us know if that is resolved. Because great choice otherwise.
Hello, have read through the threads, but am unable to conclude on a girl friendly 5 star hotel, close to the action spots and where I can probably get two girl's together as I plan to stay there for just one night. Request help please. Thanks in advance.

Hotels in general are up and up this year. You can't really call BKK a cheap destination any more. We mentioned the Marriott Marquis the other day, in 2022 I stayed there for €100-120 per night, just got a quote for next February and it's €300 per night plus!

Dear all,
Planning my upcoming trip to BKK, will only stay 3 nights, hope to have some one out there to provide some ideas between Public House vs Quarter Phrom phong by UHG Hotel. Both is on SOI 31 Sukumvit.
I think both are close to those massage parlors around.
Thanks.

Thanks.Public house is much better, Quarter is more your mid-range whereas PH is a solid 4 star but with price tag to match. Get a sense that PH is more your affluent couples / families rather than single guy bringing back a girl in the afternoon then another one in the evening or something. The kinda place I would perhaps take my GF to.

Hello, have read through the threads, but am unable to conclude on a girl friendly 5 star hotel, close to the action spots and where I can probably get two girl's together as I plan to stay there for just one night. Request help please. Thanks in advance.I can recommend the Sofitel Sukhumvit or the Hyatt Regency; they are 5-star hotels and expensive, but they don't have issues with girls. The Landmark Hotel is also great, and girls don't need to register at the reception because the elevator doesn't require a key card. There's the JW Marriott across from Nana Plaza, but for me it's too expensive even though it's an older hotel.

Hope I won't be disappointed with my selection. I believed quarter is girl friendly, right?

I believed quarter is girl friendly, right?Yeah should be fine although being smaller / boutique the Quarter has a smaller reception so a potential walk of shame whereas PH you can probably go in and no-one notices you as there's a few restaurants in there.

So as it turns out, I get to leave five days earlier for my trip and so I wanted to take advantage by staying in Bangkok for five days prior to heading to Pattaya. Looking for recommendations to Thermae and Nana. I almost booked the Ruamchitt, but after reading the reviews on here, I've concluded that most of you mongers consider it almost like a short term hotel, which I don't want to stay in. I do not need a five star, something comparable to like a three star hotel works for me. Preferably something in the $60 to maybe $80 range? Would like to be able to conveniently perhaps a walk to Thermae and or Nana.

Fabulous virtually empty pool, clean room, good stuff, dated yet still comfortable, reasonably priced, quiet, boring breakfast, perfect location, great nightly shows.
I usually stay at the doubletree*It's a block from Nana and I've never had an issue with visitors. The breakfast is great, too.

Had several ladies join me here. Big rooms with nice bathroom. Easy reception where the girl can just walk by and take the elevator.
Can you recommend a hotel around Makkasan where I can give the room number to the lady and she can just walk straight up to the elevator and go to my door?
Not so fond of having to hassle with lady check-in.
Anybody know if this hotel is guest friendly? Can't find much info online about it. Gets good reviews also.

I remember I walked past a few times thinking it looks quite good. But tbh in Bkk & especially this area it's difficult to find a place that's not guest-friendly.

Not so fond of having to hassle with lady check-in.The Aloft in Sukhumvit Soi 11 is not requiring lady check-in. However, you still have to go down to the lobby to pick her up, because you need a key card for the elevator.

Hello Gents,
Long time reader and lurker here; had to create a new ID today to post as the last one seems to have disappeared after a few years of inactivity. I have a little bit of a hotel selection dilemma, hope you guys can help? I normally stay at the continent hotel which is right around the corner from soi cowboy and I enjoy that location very much. However my favorite hotel seems to be all sold out for the dates this December due to all the demand. I am considering either the Aira or the Eleven hotel on soi 11, or the S31 hotel on sukhumvit road just off soi 31. I will be in BKK for 17 days and I'm not sure if I want to deal with all the madness of soi 11 for that many days in a row? Also, I will be solo for the first few days but then my girlfriend will be joining me for the remainder of the trip and I'm not sure she will appreciate the colorfulness of soi 11. Honestly if it was just me alone I would prob just stay at the Eleven hotel as I've stayed there before and it's clean and decent on the inside. I stayed there for my visit last year and was fairly happy. I don; t mind the walk from 31 down to cowboy and for Nana nights I'll just take the skytrain. I had also booked jasmine city but cancelled that as the hotel reviews show it as being quite dated on the inside.
Advice is appreciated please.
Will be visiting Bangkok and Phuket, wondering if there's somewhere I can meet girls who enjoy smoking? And also some hotels where I can smoke with them inside? Thanks.

No problems with bringing in guests either.
It's a bit higher than your range but it's quite a convenient location. Rates depend on high / low season. Last time I stayed was in June and it was around $90/ night.

Pretty decent rooms, service, cleanliness and very quiet as it's down the soi. It's got a pool / small gym and breakfast is only ok but I prefer walking to T21.6 minutes walk to Thermae according to google and almost right in between Nana / Asok.
Pro tip: if you have a date you can take them to Cabbages & Condoms which looks pretty presentable but more importantly only a minutes walk away from the hotel.

Looking for suggestions for a month-long, probably two months, stay in Bangkok. I'm not looking for stars or anything fancy, just very affordable and reliable high-speed internet is a must as I'll be working remotely during my stay. Prefer vicinity of Nana or somewhere along Sukhumvit where I can easily catch a train to get around.
The Atlas Hotel seems to fit the bill but I don't recall seeing any reviews here on it. https://atlasbangkok.com/.
Any intel?
I just stayed 4 nights at the Ruamchitt Plaza and I absolutely loved it. I had a very reasonably priced superior room on the 7th floor, which was clean, spacious and functional. The staff at the reception was really friendly and the fact that the lower floors are used for ST with the girls from Thermae was hardly noticeable. Although I did not use the major argument for this location (I. E. Taking Thermae girls to your room) it is situated at the crossing of the MRT and the BTS, making it one of the best connected areas in BKK. Of course it is also right in between Nana plaza and Phrom Pong, both in walking distance.
So: shoutout to Ruamchitt. I'll definitely be back there (at least when travelling without a partner) and thanks to the folks, who recommended it here on the forum!

Or do you think the photos on their website are up to date and accurate. I'd a bit worried that the rooms in reality are a bit run down or shabby compared to any brochure photos? The rooms look spotless on their website. Interested in your opinion after staying there.
Also I wonder, if you are trying to hook up with girls say on TF, does the fact you are staying in that hotel put them off at all?
Thanks.
Just checked in, and I am perfectly happy. Of course do not expect 5 star luxury. But, spacious room, clean, good bed, excellent bathroom, quick wifi, good pool, friendly staff, ok some noise from outside on the 6th floor. But at this rate, I had a lot worse in BKK, and arriving from a dump in Vientiane, couldn't be better. And the basement is OK as well, very, very busy tonight.
I'm coming to BKK shortly and am booked at the Centre Point hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 10. Does anyone know what their policy on bringing girls to the room for a couple hours is? I don't expect to nightly but maybe once or twice during my stay.

But the walls are freshly painted and it's clean and the bed is good, so why would I care about a scratch on the table?
No need to impress anyone with the room.

Thanks.I haven't tried to invite anyone from TF to my room, but if the FLs from Thermae are ok with the place, why should the FLs from TF not be?
Parinda is on Soi 4, easy walking distance (6 minutes?) to Nana Plaza. Room is just as nice as the Double Tree, and a lot cheaper. I paid $70 per night and it is well worth it. Pics on the web are identical to what you get. Room is squeeky clean and the staff take off their shoes before entering your room. Big shower, room safe, electric tea kettle, fast interwebs, comfy couch. I brought my Roku and hook it up to the TV so I can stream from my laptop.
The front of the hotel faces the frontage street (Duang Phithak) but you can walk out the back and use Ulit alley to get to Soi 4. Boss Suites is right there too.
At first I saw it on Agoda for $52, so I came and checked it out. When you actually try to book the room on Agoda, they add some shady Fee ($10 per night?) that they will refund you 60 days AFTER you leave the room. Seemed pretty crappy to me so I just paid Parinda. I'm not as sensitive to price as some.
Soi 4 has everything I need. Laundry services, food, 7-ELEVEn's, freelancers, taxis. And most importantly its just a quick walk from there to Kasalong and Lolitas (my favorite activity). There is a gaggle of Rwandan Freelancers South of Nana. Quite shapely. The "Why Not" ladyboy bar makes for fun people watching. Irish Pubs and English pubs for football and full English breakfast, any time of day.
Would stay again.
Fargler.

Hello,
I'm planning my first trip to Thailand. I will be in Bangkok at the beginning and the end. My idea was to stay at Grande Centre Terminal 21 first for asok / soi cowboy and then the other stay at the Landmark more near Nana Plaza / Asok. Are they guest friendly with no fees?
Are they guest friendly with no fees?Yes, they are.
Parinda is on Soi 4, easy walking distance (6 minutes?) to Nana Plaza. Room is just as nice as the Double Tree, and a lot cheaper. From the Parinda Hotel to Nana Plaza is 800 meters and an 11 minute walk, according to Google Maps.
I love the Double Tree, even though it's pricy. Great rooms, great breakfast buffet. How is the breakfast in the Parinda? It doesn't seem to have a buffet, does it?
I have stayed at the Bless Hotel & Residence for 3 nights recently. Sukhumvit Soi 33, near Phrom Phong BTS station. Had a Premier Room including breakfast for 2900 Baht per night.
The room was nice and spacious, clean, and in good condition. The bed was rather hard but it was doable, because I always bring a sheet from home, so I can sleep on top of the duvet. Sleeping under the duvet is too warm for me, unless I set the air condition to an 'arctic' temperature.
The shower cubicle was rather small, and the water pressure was weak. Wifi was steady and fast.
Unfortunately the couch in the room was uncomfortable, because it was too deep. I had to put 3 small pillows behind my back to make it somewhat comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was OK. Nothing special and not an awful lot of choices, but good enough for me.
Some noise from a nearby (karaoke?) bar at night, but it wasn't too loud so it didn't really bother me.
It's a five minute stroll to the nearest Starbucks, and there are many food options nearby, in particular right across Sukhumvit Road in the EmSphere Mall. But the restaurants there are often very crowded, and not cheap.

Random comments:
Benchakitti Park is a great place to get some exercise. I enter from Soi 4, then exit to Soi 8. Soi Sukhumvit 6 cuts through at Kasalong to get back to Soi 4.
Swan laundry on Soi 4 does loads for 100 Baht per Kilo. My 3 Kg bag cost 300 Baht. Nice. Pack light and pay to have it laundered.
Brainwake serves up a decent breakfast for 200 Baht.
Soundpop on Soi 8 does not have any vinyl records (their website makes them out to be a record store vibe) but it does serve the best Latte I've had in Thailand.
I prefer Kasalong over Lolitas. Kaslong has a sink to wash your package before and after.

Is it okay to stay at a hotel immediately to the left of nana plaza or to the right of asok / terminal 21? Looks like too major roads on each side of them. Would it be a big deal to stay right outside the roads? Thinking of the carlton on the right or the phoenix chit to the left.

It's smack dab in between Nana and Cowboy. Walking distance to BTS, terminal 21 and the MRT.
It's perfect if you're looking to bring thermae girls back to your room, there's also a ton of free lancers nearby tho most in front of the hotel appear to be ladyboys not all are.
The rooms while small, and a bit threadbare are clean, comfortable, and depending on what side of the building you are on can be quiet. The pool on the roof is nice to soak in and usually empty.
I have only 2 gripes on the Ruamchitt. The price of the hotel has increased a bit since the covid times, and also the availability of rooms has become an issue as the place tends to be booked up. I've stated in a few other places nearby but none of them are quite as good as the Ruamchitt. The staff is friendly and usually has no issues checking me in early on my day of arrival.
I couldn't recomend them more.
Got a few I'm looking at. Saw Ruamchitt Plaza reviews, is on the upper limit of what I wanted to spend but more then the location it looks to have lots of amenities.
LE Fenix Sukhumvit looks good but I didn't see any reports on it.
Ratchada 17 Place is a cheap option but to be honest this mostly came to my attention because while I was browsing incall girls a lot of nice ones were here and that would be convenient. This brings up another question, how easy / expensive is it to get around the city? Will it be a pain to visit the clubs and gogo bars if I'm not within walking distance?
Any suggestions on places to avoid or look for are appreciated. AC and internet are a must, good free breakfast is a plus. Also if you know anything that wouldn't be listed, like how Ruamchitt is connected to a freelancer bar or a place that offers in house massages please let me know.
Hotel De Bangkok was another one I was looking at. Its more out of the way it looks like but they look to have nice rooms. No idea if they are guest friendly or anything though.

Inexpensive rooms, internet, AC, decent free buffet breakfast, at ground zero for freelancers and 50 meters to the Nana Plaza bars and others outside of the plaza. Certainly guest friendly without having to pay extra. Security will take visitor's ID to hold. "Visiting Hours" are 24/7. In-room "massage" service available. Some rooms may still be a bit dated, but many have been updated in the last couple of years. Plenty of taxis and tuk tuks easily acquired; skytrain is a 5-minute walk.

Sam.I did check this place but its filled up for when I plan on going. Not wanting to risk I did decide on Hotel De Bangkok. I know its not really in the mongering area but figured there were short stay options and its near the station. I tried contacting them through the contact e-mail about things like joiner fees but never got a response.

Will it be a pain to visit the clubs and gogo bars if I'm not within walking distance? It's not expensive to get around the city, but it can be time consuming. Taxis often get stuck in the heavy traffic. Public transport is a better option in most cases, but it's only operating until midnight.
Ratchada 17 Place is at a 15 minute walk from the nearest MRT (subway) station, Sutthisan. So that's quite far. It's better to book a hotel that is closer to either an MRT station, or a BTS (Skytrain) station. And preferably close to Sukhumvit Road, somewhere between BTS stations Phloen Chit and Phrom Phong.
Hotel De Bangkok was another one I was looking at. Its more out of the way it looks like but they look to have nice rooms. No idea if they are guest friendly or anything though.1.2 km from the nearest BTS station Phaya Thai. Too far IMHO. And also too far from the action.

Does anyone know if the new Hyatt Place at Sukhumvit 1 is guest friendly?
And please suggest any hotel / serviced apartments nearby within $100, the only requirements being cleanliness and fast, stable wifi. Gym and pool being cherries on the cake.
TIA.

BNM.Brr, rather far away in soi Arab.

For Thailand Agoda is normally the cheapest but I would search on Google for the reviews to cross reference.
So the Ratchada 17 was considered and then you went with the place that's over double that price? And did you book refundable room? I myself am staying 6 nights in Bkk but I've split up the booking to 3 sets of 2 nights and they're all refundable if done so 2 days before checkin in case I change my mind.
And on Ratchada 17 at that price point you can't really complain if it's 15 or even 20 minutes away from BTS, very cheap price for a private room.

What are some higher end hotel recommendations?I assume lower end of Sukhumvit between Soi 2 and 21. Marriott, Landmark, Sofitel, Westin, Grand Centrepoint Terminal 21, and Sheraton.

Greetings!
I'll be arriving at Bangkok in about 1 week, already booked a room at Ruamchitt Hotel, but, since my arrival will be early in the morning, and the check-in starts only at 2 PM, I will need a cheap place just for a quick shuteye for some hours. Already googled some options, but would like to know if you fellow mongers have any recommendations. Thanks and advance! Can't wait to begin my reports!

I've done this in many countries around the world.
If you are arriving at say, 7:00 am on Thursday and don't want to wait 6-7 hours for your room to be ready, try booking the same room on Wednesday as well. Then tell the hotel you will be checking in late, really late, for your Wednesday stay. It's probably not too expensive to do this and will save you the hassle of finding a short-stay room.
Some hotels (not sure about those in Bangkok) will also sell you an early check-in for about a half-day's rent.
I suggest you start by asking your current hotel for options.
Finally, I am sure there are shot-time hotels near Soi Cowboy and Nana. One of those could be a good back up plan if your hotel can't accommodate your early arrival.

My normal Bangkok hotel does this, but it is on an "as available" basis. It cannot be reserved.

They used to have a 24 hour from check-in to check-out policy. Interested to know if the Hyatt is the same.
With what I now know about Thai Friendly I do not think it would be hard to arrange a visitor for one night.

With what I now know about Thai Friendly I do not think it would be hard to arrange a visitor for one night.I have stayed there the past three trips before flying home. Very nice hotel. 10 minutes indoor walk to the airline check in counters or a 3 minute shuttle bus ride.

And yes I did bring my thai GF to come stay with me there. They'd check her ID sometimes but that was it.

Any recent experiences on being guest friendly? I saw on the forum and other sources it was but I contacted them about being BYOB and the guest policy. I asked twice and they refused to answer on the guest policy. So I'm curious if something changed.

I brought back some girls from Thermae (walk is less than 5 minutes and the girls never had an issue with it). I also ordered some outcall and the lobby called me on hotel phone, and then let them come up without me needing to come down. No issues at all.

Is March Hotel guest friendly? Anyone has stayed there before? TIA.
Where? This is Thailand, and I've never heard of that happening here.My thoughts too.
Never would happen in a non Muslim country or area. Possibly some muslim province in the south of Thailand or Malaysia or Indonesia.

Asia is a continent with 48 countries. Each country has different rules for different things. Saudi Arabia doesn't have the same rules as Singapore. Turkey doesn't have the same rules as Thailand. Japan and Jordan? Yep different rules.
I'm guessing, out of those 48 countries, it didn't happen in Thailand.
Has Grand President Hotel (Opposite to Aira Hotel) gone out of business or changed name? I could never find the hotel under any booking portal. Help please.

Could just be policy not enforced but who knows. I'm thinking of the carleton and four points now. Neither had this in the policy section. Anyone stayed there recently?

Is the Sukhothai hotel on Sathorn guest friendly?
I could not find any report about it.

I have read in this forum that Ruamchitt Plaza Hotel is primarily a short term place for folks from Thermae and Soi Cowboy. But how is this hotel for longer stay like 3 nights? Are the rooms clean and safe? Is it recommended for long term stay?
I have read in this forum that Ruamchitt Plaza Hotel is primarily a short term place for folks from Thermae and Soi Cowboy. But how is this hotel for longer stay like 3 nights? Are the rooms clean and safe? Is it recommended for long term stay?Only the lower floors in the Ruamchitt are shorttime rented. 5th,6th and 7th floor have clean, spacious, light rooms, nothing fancy, but not expensive either. And you don't have to worry about safety.
Pool is pretty good too. Stayed there several times the last couple of months and will return.

Are the rooms clean and safe? Is it recommended for long term stay? The place frequently pops up towards the top of searches on booking.com due to being cheap and having a central location, and not everyone knows its reputation when they book. So it's always amusing when I'm paying for one of the short-time rooms at the check-in desk, hooker from Thermae in tow, alongside a family with small kids also checking in at the same time. That's one way to teach them about the birds and the bees. On Friday & Saturday night that place probably has the highest working girl density in Bangkok.
But yeah as someone else mentioned, only one or two floors of the hotel are dedicated to short-time rooms. And as far as I've ever seen, there are no actual hotel guests on that floor. It's just short-time rooms.

I'll be landing in BKK this Sunday arvo and yet to book a hotel for 4 nights. I've been seeing across some socials that there are various hotels and condos with major structural damage. I'm sure that Thai authorities are trying to keep a lid on socials spreading this stuff around, but some of it is getting out.
Anyways, I'm looking for something that's near Nana / Thermae area and not high-rise. Thinking maybe 5-7 floors tall tops.
Ruamchitt is a bit too low end for my taste, anything nearby (obv guest friendly) in a 4 star that is recommended.
It's all a guess until you walk into the place anyways, anywhere could have damage, it's probably cosmetically covered up by now.
Cheers.

Mentioned them before but stayed there again from 14-30 March.
In the past the day shift was all over ID's for guests.
In the two weeks nobody looked twice at my guests.
Even went back to room with two girls and then the next night three. No probs.
Loving this place even more, like staying at the JW M but heaps cheaper.

My only regret is that the breakfast buffet which they had before covid has never returned. Even if it's only a limited spread (like Mecure on Soi 11) it's still far better than the set menu they currently offer.
How close to nana plaza is it?

If You have the latest vaccination, you should be ok. And should you get it it will most likely be mild.

Its 50 metres from Nana entertainment plaza.700 metres from Thermae. around 1 km from Soi cowboy. massage parlours are nearby. its 1 km from Benchatti park (for walk and running)Its girl friendly. . rooms are good and clean. I was suggested this hotel by one of friend here. I thank him and recommend to others.

I have stayed at the Westin a couple of times, pre-Covid. The Hotel was always guest friendly meaning I never encountered any guest fees and zero ID registration requests of any of my nightly guests.
The hotel design is kind of interesting with a small ground floor reception area with elevators leading to the lobby / check-in front desk, restaurant & bar on a higher floor. From the lobby there is a 2nd set of private elevators that takes guests up to their hotel rooms and rooftop pool. In all my nights at the Westin, nobody ever checked my girls or asked for their ID's. Nobody cared.
I have stayed at the Grand Centrepoint T21 a couple of times as well. It is guest friendly, meaning there are no guest fees and no ID registration of nightly guests either.
Comparisons:
#1 IMHO The Westin has more luxurious and well-appointed rooms, but the 1 Br suites at Grand Centrepoint T21 are very impressive.
#2 The pool and garden area at Grand Centrepoint T21 is much nicer and larger than the Westin roof top pool area which is too small, IMHO, for a hotel of this size.
#3 The Westin's morning buffet is better than the buffet at T21, not that T21's buffet breakfast is bad, it's just that it is not as high quality and varied as the Westin's buffet.
So, the bottom line is both hotels are solid choices and will serve a visiting punter well. I recommend both hotels for their location and creature comforts. My advice is of these 2 particular hotels; book the one offering the best rate on the dates that you are considering.

Getting ready for shift from Indo to BKK for a while.
As I'll be working remotely while in BKK, I need a room with strong, reliable wifi. * I don't like to spend a lot of money on hotels, but wifi is vitally important. *.
I'll be there for a couple of months. *.
Also prefer something very close to one of the metro rail lines.
Any suggestions?* Was initially searching near Lumphini, Chulalongkorn you or Asoke areas but open to suggestions.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance!Wifi in the hotels in Bangkok, or elsewhere in Thailand, is often not so steady and reliable, in my experience. Or it's not allowed to connect to a VPN (don't know if you need that).
My advise is to buy a SIM card with unlimited data, and either use USB-tethering or Bluetooth-tethering to share the internet connection of your phone with your laptop.
In my experience the phone network is steadier than the wifi in hotels. I can recommend True. Works best for me anyway. https://www.true.th/en/.
Nevertheless you will still have disruptions every now and then.

Works best for me anyway. https://www.true.th/en/.I have also experienced that my phone network service is more steady than my hotel WiFi/Internet service, I have used AIS for about 3 years and used DTAC before that. But I have had more "unsteady" WiFi/Internet service issues from hotels that use True for their internet service.
To determine unsteady I would do internet speed test and observe fast data transfer for several seconds and then zero data transfer for a few seconds. This is a non problem for many Internet activities, but is disaster for other Internet activities.

Near Terminal 21, Sukhumvit MRT.
Girlfriend friendly. I don't think they check the girl ID. I did not even go down to receive them. They came directly to my room.
Decent Internet. 100 mbps.
Water pressure not that great.
Not on the main road but walkable distance to Terminal21 / Soi Cowboy. Hence less noise from Tuk tuks.
4 days: $175 . Premier Room. Breakfast extra. I never wake up by that time hence I skip it.

I am going to Bangkok and thinking of staying here. It appears that it is fairly new. Has anyone stayed here? Girl friendly?I stay at the Four Points Sheraton Ploen Chit. The one on Sukhumvit 15 is different. I don't bring ladies to my room, so I don't know about girl friendly or not. You are in a very busy area with bars and massage parlors very close, walking distance. The accommodation and breakfast buffet at Four Points Ploen Chit are outstanding, so I return every year. I suspect the level of service is the same.

I stayed in their first building a few weeks ago (Bronze room) and I agree I could hear the sound of the bikes in the street.
Then I stayed at their second building (Gold room) a week later, I think it was better in this aspect, but I felt like the difference of price between a Bronze room and a Gold one was not worth it (plus when you're staying in the second building, you've got to come to the first one for the breakfast, good breakfast by the way) .

+1 for night hotel. I stayed on the other side facing away from the main road and it was peace and quiet. Stayed there 10 nights.I can recommend S15 hotel which is right down beside Thermae etc, with the rooms facing onto Sukhumvitt Road, they have two sets of windows, with a gap inbetween the two sets. That 6' or 1 foot "air-gap" cuts out the vast majority of the road noise. I tend to party all night and sleep during the day, so it's my preferred choice of room.
Only issue is you need to request it from the hotel and not all their rooms have these double sets of windows. Nice hotel but their breakfast is poor in my opinion and no pool if that's your thing.

Four Points Sheraton on Sukhumvit 15.
I am going to Bangkok and thinking of staying here. It appears that it is fairly new. Has anyone stayed here? Girl friendly?I've stayed there twice--it's halfway between Soy Cowboy and Nana. It's close to a well-known nightclub, I believe, and across the street from Thermae. I didn't have trouble bringing a girl in, and there's a hotel key-operated backdoor that opens up to Terminal 21. I like the breakfast selection, which features Thai, Indian, Chinese and Western food.

Hey everyone,
I'm planning a trip to Thailand for 2 to 3 months and I'm looking into renting an apartment, as I think it'll be more affordable than staying in a hotel. I'm considering places in the $300–$350 per month range, and I'the love to get some advice or feedback from those of you who have rented apartments long-term. I might make it a long term rental.
I'm curious about the rules when it comes to bringing guests, particularly women, back to the apartment. Are there any complications with having someone over for the night, especially in the types of apartments I'm looking at? I want to be respectful of the building's rules and the neighbors, but I don't want to run into any unexpected issues.
Also, if anyone has any recommendations for areas that are good for expats but still affordable, I'm open to suggestions!
Thanks in advance!

Citin Sukhumvit 11 on Soi 11/1.
This hotel has a theft problem. Avoid! I had the extreme misfortunate of staying here for 10 days. After a few days I noticed one of my best shirts was missing. After a few days another. In total of five items of clothing went missing during my stay. When I asked the front desk about it a nasty little staff member (rge one from Sakorn Nakorn) got into a shouting match with me about it. It was then that I recall hearing her in a vulgar shouting match with guests three other times during my stay over missing items.
The same clerk also tried to charge me for having my sheets cleaned after I'd spilled a drink on them one night. First of all, over 10 nights I only had my room cleaned three times. Secondly that's absurd to ask your guest to pay for house cleaning. They don't change the sheets after every guest unless they're visibly dirty? Disgusting.
The same snotty little clerk also hinted it I had been throwing things out of my window. She said they have video surveillance and I asked to see it and ask if she had any proof and she admitted she did not. At that point she was told to STFU then.
Also, the woman who does the housekeeping on floor five is rude and doesn't do a good job. The entire place has grime on the floors and instead of actually cleaning they just mop the dirt around.
Speaking of thievery, do not take their recommendation to have the massage shop two doors down do your laundry. You will only get half of it back as I did and I had to go back and argue for them to find the rest of it. Then they have the audacity to try to charge me for giving me the rest of my laundry and question whether or not it was actually mine. Highly unprofessional.
Location is good for that part of town if you don't mind zero security and working girls walking the hallways at night, but otherwise a complete disaster of a stay. Again, avoid at all costs. I would have moved out after the second or third night if I hadn't paid for the whole stay in advance.
My experience with Citin Sukhumvit 11 on Soi 11/1 was just fine.
Stayed there for two days and left valuables worth 1000's of dollars in my room without a problem. No clothes missing. I wonder why the OP below had such a different experience? Lastly given the room rate and location, exactly what did he expect? It is in the middle of debauchery with an extremely low rate per room night in Bangkok. I will return!

During my last trip to Bangkok I stayed in three different hotels:
Holiday Inn Sukhumvit by IHG
Highest quality of the three. Also the most expensive. Where I would take ATF if we went to vacation in Bangkok. Has a great location and every thing you want. Gym, pool, great restaurant for breakfast. Room laid out for a baller / shot caller!
Sukhumvit suites
Midlevel quality. Great location. Right next to train station: BTS? Great restaurant down stairs. Great value for the price. I have zero complaints..
Hey guys, just booked to return to Bangkok in November. I've been there for short trips (3-5 days) in 2019,2022, 2023 and 2024. Just wanted to say thanks for those of you providing trip reports. They are really helpful for those of us who only come irregularly and for short times. I usually stay at Night (previously Dream) Hotel, close to Thermae, but this time decided on Maison Hotel close to Nana Plaza.
My preferences are young, slim and natural at least be size tits, more innocent looking than slutty. I like all the experiences, but I don't get the attraction of nuru. The action seems rather mechanical and I prefer GFE experiences on a real bed. Last trip I spent time lining up girls on TF, with mixed but overall good results. I still like Thermae because of its unique atmosphere. Like a candy store. And my experiences have been relatively good. I only had 2 duds out of 8 girls, so the ratio ain't bad. And a couple were A+ experiences. I'm not so big on GoGo bars, as I find it difficult to choose girls, but one of my very best experiences was pulling a lovely girl with great service from Soi Cowboy (can't remember which club), unlike some of the recent reports here.
Anyway, looking forward to more reports and posting mine after the next trip. Enjoy, boys!
Nice hotel, 2 buildings I stayed in the building that fronts the road. Has the pool on top. Girl friendly no need to take them by the front desk to register. Pool and pool bar were good. Had 2 for 1 cocktails after 3 or 4 pm I think. It is all the way at the back of the Soi if you aren't one for walking but plenty of options for getting to train quickly around. I would stay here again, and ask for the pool building if I can again just for privacy.
Hi all, I will be in BKK at the end of Sept and was wondering if Hiltons are still guest-friendly? I am looking at Airbnb also as an option, and wondering who has opinions on that. 7 years ago, when I was last there, I could walk into the Conrad with 2-3 women, no one batted an eye. Anyone still have experience with that?
Hi all, I will be in BKK at the end of Sept and was wondering if Hiltons are still guest-friendly? Both DoubleTree by Hilton hotels, in Sukhumvit Soi 2 and Soi 26, are guest-friendly.

Hi, I stumbled across the website listed below. I wanted to solicit some advice as I am torn between the Fraser Suites or the JW Marriott. I wanted to politely ask which one offers a bit more privacy, meeting it is more discrete when bringing a lady back to your place? I am just a very private person. Thanks!

Headed to Bangkok in 2 days, and still not booked a hotel yet, how fucked am I?
I am just looking for a affordable place with reliable Wi-Fi, table I can work with and close to the action.
Any suggestions will be deeply appreciated. Thank you.
Boss Suites Nana Hotel on Soi 4 is 4-star, only $28, large suites, nice, clean, quiet with nice, cool breeze from the big park. I think they still have free breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Woraburi is on the same alley, 3-star, only $20. Both are about the same with good Wi-Fi, pools and large lobbies open out to the alley, very relaxing. I stayed at various 4 and 5-star hotels on Soi 2, Soi 4 and others in this area, these 2 are nice, clean enough, quiet, not crowded, convenient, laid back and relaxing, staff is fun, friendly like family, very Thai.
Just walk out to soi 4 there are lots of girls day and night on the street and in Nana plaza bars, also lots of restaurants, bars, massages, street food stalls, 7-11 stores ect.
Dozens street girls hang out day and night along Soi 4 with a big crowd of all skin complexion in front of hotel Maison with those plumeria trees. I bagged a beautiful, nice, fun, light-skin, blond hair, horny Kazakh girl with one of the hottest session anywhere ever. Still thinking about going back for her and her friends.Appreciate the Hotel Recommendation. I saved it in Google Maps. Thanks!

Any suggestions will be deeply appreciated. Thank you.The good news is you are far from Fucked. I regularly book a hotel sometimes only upon my arrival at the airport in Bangkok. I travel non revenue so I often don't know if I'm getting on the plane until the plane is almost ready to push back. Therfore booking a hotel in Advance does me no good. There are tons and tons and tons of options. Some of my favs are The Royal Ivory Nana on soi 4. The Dynasty Grand, my go to had been The Ruamchitt where Thermae is in the basement but they've become quite expensive lately. But there are tons of other options close to the action.

So I'll be back in BKK after a long hieatus. And I know many hotels keep the girls ID's. Here is a question.
Are those ID's logged any place. So if someone (ie: spouse) calls and asks who "else" popped in. Is that documeted or is it just like literally holding luggage (meaning not really tracked just give us your claim ticket and go).
Don't really want to have any sort of paper trail on things. And ideally a hotel that doesn't even look is perfect (thinking of the The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok might be a "no-tell" hotel). But one can never tell.
Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

http://guestfriendlyhotelsbangkok.com/I'm staying at the Jw Marriot again soon for 15 days. Normally super expensive but I got a good rate then further discount for long stay.
You could walk in late at night with 3 woman carrying a midget, they would probably offer to help carry the midget to your room.
Honestly stress free and no guest registration.
If you call someone to meet you there they just enter the hotel and head to the lifts, there are a couple of chairs and phones there for that purpose.
You just have to come down and collect them.
Never stayed at the Fraser.
I normally stay at the Adlphi Suites which is my favourite but there is construction at the back that disturbed me in March so didn't want to take the risk.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated. Not all hotels do the same thing with the girls' IDs. My two most recent Bangkok hotels copy the ID and hold the original until the session is finished and reception calls me to verify everything is OK. All the girls IDs sit on reception desk with a paper copy and the room number. I don't know what they do with the paper copies, perhaps they are scanned into the system. Other hotels may do different things. 10 years ago the ID guard at Ambassador Tower wing just sat in a chair at base of elevator with no visible means of recording visitor data. One of my Samui resorts doesn't even have a night guard station to collect IDs, the night time guard is a rover.
I favor the hotels that retain guest data, it is for my safety and for liability in case the girl goes bonkers and trashes the hotel (or harms me). Some hotels have a list of banned girls that have caused problems.

The Fraser is a 4. 5 star hotel and has large rooms (suites) with balconies. The hotel is very quest friendly but there is a "walk of shame" past the front desk to get to the elevators. Everybody who works at this hotel is super friendly does not give a shit who you are with, but a significant proportion of the Fraser's guests are Muslim middle eastern families visiting BKK for medical reason (there is a hospital nearby) and these fat matriarchs smell bad from perfume abuse and they won't even get into an elevator with a farang let alone a farang and his girls. It is humorous to watch these cows in action. My girls like to make fun of them once we are alone in the elevator. The Fraser Hotel location is near the far end of Soi 11 which has its good points and bad points, but it is a trek to Sukhumvit.
The JW is a 5-star guest friendly hotel. I think there are nicer 5 stars in the vicinity, but only one other 5-star is right around the corner from Nana. There is no "walk of shame" at this hotel because the front desk is located at the far-right side of the lobby. Just walk into the lobby a few feet, turn left, and you are in front of the elevators. Very discreet. Nobody will see you or care even if they do.
So, according to your criteria, unless a balcony is really important to you (reefer), and provided you are getting a good deal at the JW, I think the JW will suit your plans best.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated.Regarding this topic, I have not worried much about it. My basic understanding is that the hotel is keeping the ID of the visitor to prevent certain unwarranted situations (visitor creates ruckus, thefts etc.) between the hotel guest and the visitor. So it is probably designed to assist the hotel guest (and hotel too). I recall few instances now, about such collection of visitor's ID by the hotel staff.
One was in BKK near Asoke pre-Covid time, the hotel staff collected the ID and put it in a plastic tray after collecting it from the visitor, who accompanied with me. Most of the time, I come down with the lady to see her off. The receptionist then took out the pertinent tray from below and kept it on the reception desk. The lady picked her ID and left.
Other one was in Pattaya, the hotel staff asked my room number, followed by the phone number of the visitor, who's joining me. The staff note down those detailed on a post it note. Then collects the ID from the lady. Stick that note on to the ID. Secure it at the reception. The ID was handed over to the lady before she left.
In some hotels, they don't collect the ID from the visitors during the day time but after 9/10 PM ID cards are collected and kept at the reception. I'm not sure whether the hotels in Thailand logs such details in their systems, unless the hotel group has specific policy to record such details. Additionally, I don't know whether they store the visitor ID details are kept along with hotel guest's information.
I am sure some veteran hobbyists can throw more light on this matter. Happy and safe punting. Cheers.

Are those ID's logged any place. So if someone (ie: spouse) calls and asks who "else" popped in. I don't think that any decent, or even not so decent, hotel gives this kind of information to a third party. Not by phone anyway. I think your wife would have to go to your hotel in person, whisper at the reception what she wants, and hand over a couple of hundred bahts, to get this information.
There used to be a hotel with, I think, the word white in its name near Suk. They had women on staff to service clients. It is long gone but are there other hotels with it's specialty service?

I'm making arrangements for a trip in January. I want to get a guest friendly hotel near Nana but don't want it to be super noisy or crazy. I'd like a nice place but I'm not looking for JW or other 5 star stuff. I'm looking at the following and interested in recent experiences or reputation. Thanks in advance.
Omni Tower Sukhumvit Nana: this place is looking good for location and price.
Royal Ivory Sukhumvit Nana: I found this place through this forum and am curious how it compares.

Omni Tower Sukhumvit Nana: this place is looking good for location and price.Reviews from the OTA's don't look very good (typically 6 out of 10). On the plus side Booking.com lists 32 different types of room to choose from.
I want to get a guest friendly hotel near Nana but don't want it to be super noisy or crazy. I'd like a nice place but I'm not looking for JW or other 5 star stuff.Check out the Shama Sukhumvit Bangkok, which is on the east side Sukhumvit 2, about 25 meters south of the J. W. Marriott.
It's a "serviced apartment" place, so the basic layout features a living room, kitchen (with washing machine) and separate bedroom. Bathrooms have a tub plus stall-sized shower. Excellent water pressure and temperature. Modest buffet breakfast. Nice pool on the roof. If you go out the back door of the Shama and cut through a short snicket, you end up on the west side of Soi 4 next to Fitzgerald's Bar.
The Shama also offers two-bedroom and three-bedroom suites. Which makes it popular with families -- many from the Gulf states. If you're enjoying the night life, you'll seldom see them. They see the sights by day, splash around in the pool late in the afternoon and then disappear into their suites. After dark the lobby is like a library. Despite the family clientele, the Shama welcomes joiners, with the usual stop to surrender ID.
Minor nitpicks: Not many English language channels on the TV. Living room furniture is sized for smaller folks, and the last time I was there it was showing signs of wear. Bonus: Equidistant to BTS stops at Phloen Chit & Nana. Just steps from the Villa Market & Bully's pub.

Royal Ivory Sukhumvit Nana: I found this place through this forum and am curious how it compares.I often stay at the Lohas Residence about two thirds of the way down Soi 4 (Soi Nana) it's guest friendly, about a 5 ish minute walk from Nana Plaza and it's quiet as it's just far enough away.
Stayed there about 3 weeks ago, was £45 a night with a ok breakfast (which I only made once) you can get in / out from Soi 4 or Soi 2 (where reception is) which is very handy if you want to avoid the main lobby or avoid Soi 4.
The room I had was massive, it even had a washing machine which was handy, had Netflix (got to use your own account) 2 decent AC units, decent water pressure / hot water etc.
Has an 8.0 on Booking.com, loads of reviews, it's even LB friendly (not my thing but each to their own) as someone asked that question in the public questions on Booking.com
So many options in BKK, we're all spoilt for choice, and it's not just hotel rooms.

The Shama looks nice. Good tip. I had been thinking the Landmark which seems similar category and price and location. Anyone have any perspective on the comparison? The Landmark is a 5-star hotel. The cheapest room, including breakfast, will be around 5000 baht. It's also right next to very busy Sukhumvit Road.
If you want a comparable hotel (4-star and slightly cheaper) in a quiet location, I can recommend the DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit in Soi 2. Take a room at the frontside, because at the backside its adjacent to a major highway.
Please note there's also a DoubleTree by Hilton in Soi 26, so don't book that one if you want to stay close to Nana.

Gentlemen,
I have been doing extensive research on Bangkok.
For my first ever international mongering trip, which is going to happen next year I have zeroed in on two possible hotels. Hotel Aira and Hotel Mandarin. Hotel Aira seems to be right in the thick of things. Close to Nana and a rooftop bar called Above Eleven - (I think the Eleven is probably a reference to Soi 11 and not 7/11) Also I noticed there is a night club called Aces. Is that a good place to pick up a freelancer (FL) ? The drink and food menu looked hip and seems like a good time to be had there.
Any idea how Hotel Mandarin compares in comparison to Hotel Aira. It seems a tad bit cheaper (I am not penny pinching but just noticed). It also seems to be a litter further away from where the action is.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I've never stayed at the hotels that you mention, but I have gone to Above Eleven, it's a nice place to take a date. But, it's a good hike from Nana Plaza and the go go girls and Soi 4 girls are unlikely to be happy about walking that far. Plenty of tuk tuks will be available for 100 to 200 baht. Many freelancers and clubs at night along the way as you walk from Above Eleven to Nana Plaza.

Hotel Aira and Above Eleven (which are right next to each other) seem like 4. 2 km (2. 6 miles) from Nana Plaza. Yes, you are right. Nana is not walkable from Aira so Tuk-Tuk or Grab would be the best choice.

Nana is not walkable from Aira so Tuk-Tuk or Grab would be the best choice.Something is wrong. The Hotel Aira that I know on Soi 11 is probably half a km away from Above Eleven and there is a lot of action between the two businesses. Either of those businesses are a little less than 1 km from Nana Plaza. Still, more walking than many P4P girls will appreciate. I've walked that route many times alone, but not with a girl.
If I were to re-make my first mongering trip to Bangkok, I would stay along Sukhumvit between Soi 2 and Soi 23 (which is across from Soi 18). I'd get a hotel within about a quarter km of Sukhumvit (a little further from Sukhumvit would be fine if on Soi 11, since it's got so much action).
Any information on the hotels near Lat Prabang which is close to the airport?
I have used the Novotel before but it has become a Hyatt and the deals are not so friendly.
Not concerned about travel to Sukhumvit since I will have visitors from Thai Friendly with their own cars even.

To me that's right next to each other. May not share a common fence but close enough.
That being said, do you have recommendations for good hotels right where the action is. By good I mean something comparable to Hotel Aira. Clean, Classy, Upscale.
Also I did say about jumping into Tuk-Tuk or Grab to take the girls back to my room. Hopefully, they are usually amenable to that.
Thanks for your input.

Next trip I might try Maison on Soi 4, mostly because of sizzling location. I'll forever avoid Ambassador.
Anyone had any experienceof the Royal Benji Hotel near Nana Plaza? It's got mixed reviews in the same vein as many other hotels but seems fairly priced for a 5* Hotel.

I will be in Bangkok mid November. This is a general question. Can you not just email the hotel on the addy provided on their website and ask them very politely if they are guest friendly, and if they require guests to register. Personally for me, I would prefer the guests register for variety of reasons. When I go next year it would be my first time in Bangkok and first time ever leaving the country on a mongering trip. So additional assurance of safety protocol is always welcome.

Most of the time your guest will just leave their ID at the front desk before going up to the room. Most hotels are relatively affordable compared to Hotels in the USA So it just means you want to pick hotel either in the thick of things where all the action is or find somewhere like soi15 that's close to the action and yet quiet enough to get some shut eye when you decide to pass out.

Has someone really found any problems with any hotel in Bangkok?
I really find this whole talk about what hotel allows what as unnecessary.
I have used many hotels around and never had any issues with the hotel's management.
The people there are so friendly that I would never imagine they would try to make any fuss about the guest that someone brings in.

So additional assurance of safety protocol is always welcome.Haha most guys ask how to avoid registering (not that you should in Thailand). If you WANT her to register just take her to reception when you arrive. She will not be surprised. And if she doesn't want to then bullet dodged. (Presumably underage).
Gentlemen,
I have been doing extensive research on Bangkok.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.Brother try Grand Business Inn on Soi 11. I just returned from my trip to Thailand. It was good and couple friendly. They will collect the visitors card when going to your room and once she comes to collect it back, they will call to your room and check if everything is ok. Once you confirm, then only they will return her ID card. I thought this is super safe.
Regards.
Raghu.

Has someone really found any problems with any hotel in Bangkok?Only issues I've had with some hotels in Pattaya and Bangkok are if the girl is under 21 (or was it 20?). Otherwise if you book a room for 2 should be no issues like you say. Thailand knows why guys go there.

Thailand knows why guys go there.I thought 18 was the minimum age to bring a girl to your hotel. When I check a girl in, I have her hand me the ID and I look at her date of birth and Miss or Mrs. After that is verified, I give reception the ID, my room number, a tip, and instructions to call me before returning her ID. I'm sure I've had some under 20.
Just got back from a short stay in Bangkok stayed at Kingston suites on soi 15 its about 10-15 meters from night hotel quiet hotel booked it off booking got a free room upgrade to a suite room was huge bed was comfortable, ac was cold. There was a lock box in the room and it has a full size refrigerator and washing machine in the room and a 2 burner stove if you looking to do any cooking. They are completely guest friendly no check in needed and it don't matter how many guest you bring back to your room. Its central to everything. Downside is they advertise that they have a jacuzzi in the room which they do but its more of a deep soak tub as the jets don't work its all for looks according to the front desk. If your looking for a guest friendly budget huge room hotel go with this one. Perfect for those looking to have those GB orgies fantasy fulfilled.

Has anyone tried Miami Hotel in Soi 13.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/2H1jcRPuap1opwoZ9
It looks nice, reasonably priced, and the Location seems perfect Between Nana & Asok, next door the Hyatt & stones throw away from Thermae.
Just wanted to know if they allow freelancers & what's their policy regarding the same (Toll, ID deposit at reception etc).

Looks nice is always a trap, it is easy to make a hotel look nice for photos but cleaning staff is what really makes a hotel nice or not.

Want something friendly that allows Freelancers without a toll, but Checks or keeps the ID at the reception for Security purposes.
Thanks.

All -.
Previously I had posted about staying in Bangkok for my first international mongering trip. My first choice was Aira hotel, but a few mongers said it was a bit too far for walking with a hooker. Not that I mind taking Grab or Tuk Tuk, but why not stay where action is.
It seems that Maison Hotel is a better choice. How is it overall? Address. 18 Sukhumvit 2&4 Alley, Bangkok, Thailand 10110. This look like right in the thick of things.
I am looking for a good quality hotel. Not a cheaper one. Not something super expensive which will break the bank either This is my first international trip, and I want to make best memories.

Thanks.Nana Hotel. Checks the boxes for you. 20 meters from the entrance to Nana Plaza and good access to 1000 + women in the immediate area. Decent free WIFI and so so breakfast included.

Maison is a nice, clean, quiet, full-service hotel, now rated 5-star with steep prices.
Front door is on soi 2 with back door out to Soi 4, only a couple hundred feet from Nana Plaza, within walking distances of 2 BTS stations on Sukhumvit. It's in the best location for night life, bars, girls, food, sampling local life styles. Bar girls and street girls would walk the Maison alley to this hotel. Like in other Thai hotels, just ignore the cool, distant manners by lady boys at reception with their bright lipstick and rosy cheeks.
This stretch of Soi 4 has the biggest group of street girls hanging out at all hours with a wide variety of skin colors, sizes, shapes, races, ethnicities, Thai, Viet, Caucasian, African, Muslim. I did not see loud and aggressive lady boys but do check their voices. A few older women, with decent English, hang out in this area interpreting for girls, likely minders for some. Any questions or requests, ask them.

The one I am going to book for my next trip is Maison Hotel only 0.27 miles from Nana. I have never been to Thailand so my opinion is not even worth the paper its written on. LOL But I am told by the experienced mongers here that the closer the better. Makes sense. You don't want girl say No only because you are too far away and they feel like getting back they might wasting time. (looks like its 12 minutes in a taxi).I have no experience with this particular Intercontinental, but I have stayed at the one on PhloenChit Road and it is very GF so I doubt you will have any problem with the new one.
I have never had a problem with my Nana girls travelling in taxis to hotels as far away Ekkamai. There are advantages and disadvantages to staying at hotels past Thonglo. A better choice of Thai restaurants is one advantage. But it is up to you. The new Intercontinental looks like a very good hotel. I assume you have booked a reservation there on hotel points or free voucher nights. This is another huge advantage of booking a major brand. If so, rock on. If not, then you might want to check out some other 5 stars closer in like the JW Mariott, Landmark, Weston, Hyatt Regency, Sofitel, Sheraton, Grand Centre Point T21, ect. BKK has lots of girl friendly hotels to choose from. Enjoy!

In Bangkok, with its heavy traffic, it makes getting around a lot easier if your hotel is within walking distance of a BTS- or MRT station.

Mogwai makes a very good point. To illustrate, I have stayed at the Marriott Executive Apartment Hotel on Sukhumvit many times because I like their 1 bedroom suite with kitchen / living room for entertainment purposes and I like their swimming pool. A key plus is that this hotel is located 1. 5 blocks from the Thong Lor BTS station making it easy peasy to get around.
By comparison I have stayed at the Marriott Executive Apartment Hotel on Soi 24 which is around 6 blocks from the Phrom Phong BTS station and thus closer to the action, obviously, than the Thong Lor location, but it is a little less convenient despite the fact that a whole bunch of oilies are located 5. 5 blocks away on the Soi 24 side alley before you hit Sukhumvit. But I like staying at both hotels and I also like staying closer in on Sukhumvit itself and walking distance to Nana / Soi 11 / Cowboy. Mixing things up by staying in different neighborhoods is a pretty good thing when I am in BKK for 4 to 6 weeks per visit.

You're really saying it's OK because it is located near a BTS station? Like he's going to bring these girls back to his room using the BTS?

And the answer is yes, it is not an issue. Fact: I never had a problem bringing back Nana girls to the Marriott Executive Apartment hotel on Sukhmvit 1.5 blocks past Thong lo by taxi. I never had a problem bringing Patpong girls back as far as Sukhumvit Soi 24 either. And I am talking about bringing back a lot of girls over a 25-year time span which began around the time the BTS went into business. I can recall when there was no BTS and I never would have thought of staying anywhere beyond Soi 23!
So, the proximity to a BTS station that Mogwai and I are talking about is for the convenience of going out and looking for girls or whatever else one has in mind and not for bringing girls back to one's hotel room. Nobody in his right mind would try to pull that cheap charley move on a working girl, 555, although I can recall a couple of times when I was with a favorite repeat girl and no taxis were available for some reason, and we jumped on the BTS out of sheer necessity, laughed at ourselves for taking the train, and no harm was done.
The question was whether the girls from Nana plaza or Thermae would be willing to go back to his hotel if the hotel is located that far.

Anyone know if Ibis on Soi 24 is guest friendly? I like the idea of staying close to Soi 24/1 Alley and Phrom Phong BTS station. I typically stay at Adelphi Suites, but when I was there in July a new skyscraper (hotel?) was just under construction directly by Adelphi and I don't want to deal with construction noise.

You're really saying it's OK because it is located near a BTS station? Like he's going to bring these girls back to his room using the BTS?My guess is 90% chance they will go if round trip tuk tuk is provided (about 200 baht each way). About 10% chance if transportation is BTS plus walking. It's still a fair amount of walking.
So, the proximity to a BTS station that Mogwai and I are talking about is for the convenience of going out and looking for girls or whatever else one has in mind and not for bringing girls back to one's hotel room.Exactly. And apart from that, the BTS stops running around midnight, so after that time it's not even an option anymore.

They don't ask for the girl's ID's either. You do have to come down to bring them up and back down because elevator use is key card only.

Any issues with girls coming here?I have only been to Banyan Tree but no issues with the girls coming and going. You don't even have to pass the reception to get to the elevators. Please keep in mind those are the same elevators that go up to the rooftop restaurant / bar. Clientele is on the higher end so hopefully she is dressed somewhat respectable.

If this hotel is quiet then it must have damn good soundproof windows. I have stayed at the Samala Hotel, which is only a little bit further down Soi 15, and the noise of the motorbikes and tuktuks drving by almost all night long was driving me crazy.
It probably depends on which side of the street your room is facing and which building your room is located in (there are two distinct buildings for the Night Hotel).
I stayed in their first building a few weeks ago (Bronze room) and I agree I could hear the sound of the bikes in the street.
Then I stayed at their second building (Gold room) a week later, I think it was better in this aspect, but I felt like the difference of price between a Bronze room and a Gold one was not worth it (plus when you're staying in the second building, you've got to come to the first one for the breakfast, good breakfast by the way) .I've stayed at Night Hotel many times and I think I have an understanding of which rooms are quiet and which are not. Every time I've been on the Soi 15 side. Building 1 has always had much street noise. Building 2 has much street noise on the upper floors but not so much on the lower floors (say, floor 6 and below). The difference is there are some low buildings between Soi 15 and building 2, those low buildings block some of the street noise if your room is sufficiently low.
I've never measured rooms, but it seems the equal class rooms are a bit larger in building 2, but the building 1 rooms have an unfurnished balcony.

If I book ruamchitt hotel then can I bring daily 2-3 new girl to room without checking her in?Got to give a shout out to the Double Tree. It's nothing like a US double tree. It's like a 4. 5 star hotel I would say. And super convenient to Nana.
It couldn't possibly be more girl friendly. I'the arrived at night and checked in and immediately went to nana plaza. When I pulled a girl at 2 am I had forgotten my room number and lost my key anyhow. So there I am with my hottie at reception finding out my room number and getting a key. The girl didn't bat an eye. Don't ask her name. No ID no nothing. She just gave me the key and we were on our way.
Truly classy hotel and so close to Nana but priced at half the JW. Great value.
Got to give a shout out to the Double Tree. I concur, the DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit in Soi 2 is great! Not cheap, but good value for money.
Please note there's also a DoubleTree in Soi 26, called DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit.
I have stayed there only once, and my room did not have a hose next to the toilet, which I found rather strange. But other than that, this DoubleTree is also great.
Any issues with girls coming here?I stayed at the Conrad and only brought back 1 girl (Thermae, mixed experience but that's for a different post). Nobody cared when I brought her in late in the evening but she was also ok dressed. Should have probably checked her in but since nobody bothered us we just went to the room. Location was good, I mainly walked towards Nana. Taxi or BTS for other ventures.
Would it be advisable to get an Airbnb or hotel? I am working on planning a trip and would be about a week give or take days. This is my first time going to Thailand and I just want to have as much fun as I can have.

It's a little less convenient but a great hotel. Both are certified girl friendly. I would not recommend trying to navigate Airbnb your first visit.

If you've never spent time in Bangkok, you don't know the difference between a good location and a bad one. Bringing girls to an Airbnb may annoy neighbors. And if you're staying for a week it's nice to have housekeeping and perhaps breakfast in the lobby.
New guys will probably do well to stay within 1,000 meters of Nana Plaza. One hotel I often recommend is the Shama Suites Sukhumvit. It's on the east side of Sukhumvit 2, just south of the massive J.W. Marriott. But if you go out the back door and cut through a little snicket you come out on Sukhumvit 4 Alley in front of Fitzgerald's Pub. That's just steps from Nana Plaza, which is super handy if you pull from one of the go-go bars in that complex. From there you can walk north up to Sukhumvit Road (which runs E-W) and explore the odd-numbered sois branching off the north side, and the even numbered ones branching off the south side. Or you can walk south on Sukhumvit 4 Alley, which is packed with freelancers in the bars and girls on the street.
The Shama is a "serviced apartment" place, so you get a sitting room and kitchenette (w/ washing machine) to go with the bedroom. Water pressure and temperature is EXCELLENT. There is a rooftop pool and breakfast every day in the lobby. It's a popular place with families, many from the Gulf states, so after dark the lobby is as quiet as a library. No problem returning with a joiner, and they do insist on the usual formalities before you go up. Again, for the first timer this process is a good thing.
Best way to book is on their web site. Joining their club costs nothing and gives you access to "member rates."

Way back when, I'd stay at Suk's Soi 15, Royal President serviced apartments. House keeping several days a week, microwave, a LARGE refrigerator (no mini-bar me) for your drinks and snacks. Having lived in hotels for years, you quickly learn the important differences. Even the "luxury" of being able to do your own laundry ("gee, I sent out XL'S, they came back M's, the cold water, line dry NOT understood). Girls will take into consideration travel distance and "known" (some obscure place out in the sticks doesn't exactly scream "safety" - yes Thailand is safe, but foreigners not all). Having a place to kick back and relax other than the bed and a hardback chair will be appreciated. Having a dining table and chairs for a nosh from street vendor food brought back for refreshments between rounds - great.

Definitely a big improvement on a hotel room.
Will be back in January, but there appears to be a lot of building work at the rear of Adelphi (all of the rooms at the rear of the building are suites, but none are available for an extended period due to construction noise during the day). The rooms at Shama look fine, but if you check the reviews they are predominantly from people from Gulf countries, so I'll give this place a miss. Fraser Suites looks good, but it's right down the bottom end of Soi 11, so a fair walk to the action.
Guess I'll keep looking.

Guess I'll keep looking.Showing MY age, ONCE UPON A TIME, there was a back entrance from the Thermae, past the toilets, out into the front driveway of the Manhattan hotel on Soi 15. A relatively short, quick walk to the RP. What either are like these days, no idea. Just some pleasant memories.
Last year, happened to have a chance to walk into the Nana hotel's lobby - damn, dinosaur boneyard. Reminded me of that old Tarzan movie, where he visited the elephant graveyard.
