I have read back a fair amount on this forum, trying to get a feel for what to expect on my first trip to Phuket.
I am coming the latter part of next week for about a week. It is a bit of a mixed crowd, many friends of both genders and should be a good trip in that regard. I am not bringing a +1, so was hoping to find some local fun. I know it is available, but my question are these. Are there any places with the quality of Nataree in BKK? Are there any higher end clubs, like some of the G clubs in BKK? Are most of the massage places, not in high end hotels, give a HE at the minimum.
It will raise a few eyebrows if I show up at some of the events with what is obviously a "rental friend", but if I find someone compatible I am not adverse to a weekly or multi-day arrangement.
I welcome your comments, and hope that I haven't disturbed the "natural order".

What provider do you have? If you have ATT, you can get away with just adding international. Neither verizon nor sprint will work well since they both use CDMA instead of GPRS or the step down of EDGE. All three of them lock their phones to not allow other carriers. Your best bet is to get a cheap phone from Orange or another provider there and a pay per use phone with some international time.

i will be in phuket in november.i am here to meet some friends, etc so this is not just a "boys" trip. there are a few guys that brought some sand to the beach, and some other family members of the group involved so this will be a bit of a different kind of trip. will have to exercise some restraint in the "rental friend" area. the resort they chose is in the kamala area.
last night i went to a bar close to where i am located and it was populated by about 6 ladies well past "best if consumed by" date. i was told bar fine 500b, lady's fee 1500-2000b depending on the lady, etc. i wasn't the least interested, but it was good info.
i did talk to the concierge at the property and he is going to help me set up a road trip to a phuket "g club", if it is anything like the places i visited in bkk, it will fit the bill. many guys can't bring anything home, but would like to have a "boys night out" with some really pretty girls. then come home and dream of "what if". lol.
i will report the findings.
i plan to go to patong tonight and just see what's up there.
changing gears, i bought a mini-sim card from "happy / dtac" that allows 3g data for iphone or ipad. if anyone uses whatsapp a lot, they have a weekly rate for whatsapp of 199b for a week. also a weekly rate for 3g data, if you use more than 1g, it is throttled, but the first gb is at their "top speed". just an fyi.

First, an alert. I saw on the news that the USA Navy is coming to town on Oct. 7 for a few days. They are bringing two ships, one of which is an aircraft carrier. I am sure full of horny sailors with money to spend.
Went to Bangla road for my first foray into the Phuket fun scene. After having a few drinks after different venues, decided to concentrate on the very large building at the east end of the road. It must have at least 40 different small bars inside, they all share a single sound system and have 3-4 girls dancing on the bar and all trying to get you to sit down for a drink.
It was hard to decide where to stop, but my buddy spied a lovely lass he liked and we sat down. This girls was hot, but was his number two choice as we couldn't find number one from an earlier recon.
We ordered a drink and I started chatting with a MILF that had a nice smile and at first I thought she was a manager. My friend then saw his number one walk by and wanted to find her. He asked the dancer about bar fines, and she said she only danced and drinks, no barfine as she had a "husband". Oh well.

A couple of Aussie guys (they had a few beers in them) approached the girls and inquired as too how much they would charge to come back to the hotel. I guess the girls were insulted that someone would "mistake" them for hookers.
I laughed out loud! I mean they are dressed like hookers, in a place that has a lot of hookers and promotes "Russian girls". Certainly how could anyone make that mistake. But it made for a humorous moment!

It will be a couple of my friends first time to Thailand and they've heard of the soapy massages.

If the situation is so bad and risky in Thailand, then please don't come here. Believe me, if any foreigner was arrested for "associating" in a brothel, that would be known very fast. If there were any chances of extracting some tea-money from farang for being in a brothel, then many cases would happen.
Don't you think it strange that these lawyers fail to give any figures? And only speak about a (vague, unquantified) possibility? In lawyer's speak, that means it is but a theoretical possibility but actually never happened.

Went on a bachelor party last week in Phuket with about 6 guys. The original plan was to try a local
G" club, but they are nothing like the ones in Bangkok. (read lame) so we went back to fun street. We decided to go to Rock Hard because the groom to be had been before with good results.
It was pretty quiet but a few cuties in the lineup. One guy pulled a big titted girl from the stage and as it turns out she was from India. As he had never had an Indian girl before, he took her to a ST hotel, and was happy with the results. I sat a couple, but the increased bar fine kind of turned me off and I didn't make a selection.
Across the street, there were a number of cuties available and another friend took the one with the great ass from a few nights before out for another successful test drive.
All in all a good party, and the crowds were not too bad, at least the girls showed some interest.
One thing was kind of funny, I paid the bill in Rock Hard and the waitress asked me for a tip. I picked up the bill and told her that I had already been charged a "service charge" and wasn't going to tip twice. Plus she wasn't that much fun anyway.
Food: can't eat street food anymore, Patttya's "Central-festival" food floor has some great Buffet for Lunch. Does Phuket has its own Equivalent?Just came across your post. Just where in Pattaya is the "Central Festival" located? Any idea on cost of buffets?

The cost including soft drinks and unlimited food (seafood. Meat) is 300bt in my Favourite place.
Just got back from a trip to Patong- stayed at the Acca Hotel (GF, no joiner) which is just 1 min walk further than the Yorkshire. Clean, modern furnishings, and good bathroom.
Checked out the Suzy Wong group of Go-gos. The original, Devil's, and Diablo. They are located at the very end of the Soi that is all open air bars in the middle (with a roof that covers the entire Soi).
My assessment:
Best quality: Suzy's.
Best atmosphere: Diablo.
Selected a very nice girl from Diablo for LT, name was Milky. She was very fun, and we danced at Tiger Club before retiring and having fun before bed and after waking up. Standard rate. Not the most attractive, but she had girl next door type look and fun personality. Overall I found the girls at Diablo to be more fun.
Also selected a girl from Suzy's (got to get there on the early side to have best pickens, the first night I stopped in late around midnight, all the cuties were taken). Girls here seem a bit more detached- but once you select one, she will warm up. I chose a girl who was darker skinned and had a cute but not hot face- and short hair like a punk do. I forget her name, but she had the hottest body in there by far. All natural, spinner type. Very fit. Did ST for standard rates, and she was also quite fun. Her friend is the one that looks like Bai Ling and is actually half Chinese.
Did not get a chance to try the clubs for FLs but may next time, there were some hotties partying it up at Tiger late night.
Beware the LBs on the street, some are lookers! .

I remembered patong as a enjoyable zoo 3 years ago but not its became to a real anoying safari. Expensive, noisy, super congested. Many girls then you can dream if you are ready to compromise for quality.
The best disco is a new tiger, but finding a good one you will need to look hard. Samui girls outperform Phuket girls anytime period!
If you like walking st Pattaya you will like patong. If you like L. K metro in Pattaya then phuket is to the place for the equivalent. I moved to Karon but again not my thing. Booked a flight for to tomorrow to Pattaya airport. Price vary every minutes but I have manage to book online for 3200.
Patong is more for tourist taking photos then a monering destination. The final conclusion is that for me Pattaya has the best balance between food quality, atmosphere, cost, an girls. (Although lack regards to girls) but I felt last time very comfortable and we'llcome there and this is the reason why I will be back tomorrow.
Good thing about Phuket that fills are tolerant for taking photos. Far better then Samui.

heading to phuket next february. have read a year's worth of posts, thought i'd summarize them for the benefit of others who might be doing similar research. the details below are not from personal experience, and corrections would be more than welcome. more info on short time hotel prices would be appreciated.
for a monger, pattaya is cheaper than patong and offers more choice. for someone wanting a decent holiday with some mongering thrown in, phuket has better non-mongering attractions.
bangla street is the mongering epicenter of patong. the bars open early (before 8pm) and the massage parlors are open by 11am at the very latest. it's business as usual during christmas and new year.
barfines are around 500 baht, and fees anywhere from 1000 to 3000 baht. cheapest quoted was a bar on soi sea dragon. 500 bf and 1000 lt. most expensive 3k, negotiated down to 2. 5lt (diablo). diablo also quoted as bf 600 2000 st. suzy wongs quoted as bf 600 and 1500 st / 2000 lt. classic bar 300 bf and 2000 lt.
ladydrinks are said to be 160 in diablo and 200/220 in suzy wong's.
a massage parlour will try to get 1000-2000k from you for a hj or bj, however a 1 hr massage and hj can be had for 500 all in. it seems they will quote 300 for the massage to get you in, then it's negotiable.
there are 3 soapy massage parlors. christin's, katherine's, and blue moon. the only reported price is 3000 for christin's, although this is said to be the most expensive of the 3. a couple of satisfied reports.

several short time hotels in the vicinity of bangla, but no prices mentioned. some bars also have st rooms (also no prices mentioned).
gf hotels mentioned: acca hotel, patong hemingway, yorkshire inn, summer breeze, tatum mansion, jiraporn hill resort, baichong hotel.

To add on a quick report of my favorite place to go in Phuket, as I live here. Katherine Massage website is easy to find on Google. Price is all in for in-call, choose or book 1 girl 2, 600 THB for 1. 5 hours (1 shot. 2nd or more negotiable with your girl) , price for 2 girls are better at 4, 000 THB (if you want a 3some. 2 shots included). Their happy hour is from 4-7pm, walk-in only rate 2, 000 THB / girl, or 3, 500 THB for 2.
Kat girls are friendly, mostly come from BKK for 3 weeks. So, there are always new and fresh talents monthly. My 3somes last week was with my fav gal Estee, and she chose Helen to join us. To add on a quick report of my favorite place to go in Phuket, as I live here. Katherine Massage website is easy to find on Google. I was at Diablo last night. As was reported a few months ago drinks are around 150 for men and 180 for ladies. Bar fine was 700. ST / LT was 2000/3000 but she told me she could not go LT until after midnight. Girls wore skimpy underwear. Next door at Suzie Wong they were dancing topless.

Unless you are moving on to greener pastures, there used to be a handful of bars on the main soi leading into the beach and pier area of Chalong. As you are going towards the pier on your way in some of the bars were 2 or 3 blocks right of that main entry soi and some were right on the soi. The choices weren't great but you could get pussy. I have not been there for a couple of years though so maybe they are gone now. I'd be surprised if that were true though.
Really though, if you want to monger get out of Phuket. If you want a beach and sea going experience Phuket can work but culturally it is definitely the asshole of Thailand.

Mai Khao Beach is actually north of the airport. This is quite a distance from the nightlife in Patong, over 40 kilometers (about 25 miles). While this is doable on a motorbike, it is a very long drive. Almost an hour each way. I would not recommend this at night after a few drinks. Additionally, if you are on a motorbike and it starts to rain, then you are in big trouble.
I have done the Kata Beach to Patong drive on a motorbike dozens of times and it's great even late at night, but that's only a 10 kilometer drive.
A taxi is a better option, but it will cost around 1000 baht each way (I have never done this myself but basing it on the fact that taxis are easily 900 baht from Patong to the airport). Mai Khao Beach is actually north of the airport. This is quite a distance from the nightlife in Patong, over 40 kilometers (about 25 miles). While this is doable on a motorbike, it is a very long drive. Almost an hour each way. I would not recommend this at night after a few drinks. Additionally, if you are on a motorbike and it starts to rain, then you are in big trouble.
I have done the Kata Beach to Patong drive on a motorbike dozens of times and it's great even late at night, but that's only a 10 kilometer drive.
A taxi is a better option, but it will cost around 1000 baht each way (I have never done this myself but basing it on the fact that taxis are easily 900 baht from Patong to the airport). A tuk-tuk might be less expensive although I am not certain, but I wouldn't even consider a tuk-tuk for such a long drive.

For starters apart from the 6 or 7 big hotels in the Mai Khao area (and you don't say which one you are staying in) , there is nothing there except sea, sand and National Park.
You will ride a long way (the other side of the airport, is more like 15 Kms rather than a couple! It is at least 5kms as the crow flies. Straight along the beach) before you will find a massage outlet. Never tried them so can't comment as to what is available!
I will eat my hat if you manage to score with a girl from the spa in your resort. They are paid too much money to be opening their legs for a monger for a thousand Baht or two. Then again. Everyone has their price, so if you are spending Baht 6k on a spa, what is another two or three thousand!
There are lots of massage girls on the beach, sometime three generations all working as a family. 1hr massage cost Baht400. It is possible to get one of these ladies to come to your room. Law of averages 3 or 4% of them may drop their drawers for an extra thousand or two.

I am staying at the Marriott and I am not too concerned about the lack of nightlife in the area because:
1. I am in great need of some rest.
2. I am there for 1 week and then going to Bangkok for 5 nights.
So, if I have to wait until I go to Bangkok for some fun I am ok with that. However, I know that after a couple of days I will get a little bored and want to venture out.
Based on what you said, I think the best plan for me would be a taxi ride to Patong and see if I can find someone I like to take back for a day or two or three.
Since you have spent time there and at the Marriott, what have you found as far as other people staying at the resort?

Staying in Karon, expect to pay 400 THB each way to Patong, so rent a motorbike and carry your license, and international driver permit as well as wear a helmet. The risk of check points is high.
Karon has beer bar action as well, but not that much. But to be honest, I was terribly disappointed with Bangla road in Patong. I might even check out Kata beach if I got bored with what was available in Karon.

Viagra / cialis can be had in virtually all non-chain pharmacies across Phuket and Bangkok without prescription, usually slightly more expensive in Phuket. There are usually several pharmacies on every block.
Car service to Karon should cost about 800-900 baht. If you have a hotel booking, ask them to pick you up at the airport at a pre-arranged fee. It saves hassle since you don't have to explain the directions to your destination but might cost 100-200 baht extra.
Jet-ski scams. They will claim you damaged the jet-ski and will demand thousands of baht.

Last week I spent 5 days in Phuket. First 2 days in Phuket Town in a cheap Hotel called Phuket Center Apartments right next to old town and easy walk to Katherines Massage and Pink Lady 2002. Not easy to find tuk-tuks in town and I do not wish to try motor bike taxis (cheapest way to go around). Is that a good idea for a person who is coming there for the first time (I can't drive 2-wheelers).I have not been strictly in Phuket, but seen the traffic in other areas, including Krabi or BKK etec, I say that a self driven car is not the best idea to go around. You will have to find a parking place everytime you decide to stop soemwhere. If you take some strolls, at some point you need to go back to your car, maybe "far away". With a taxi any place is an ending or starting point to go elsewhere.
Not to mention, in case you go for some more beers, hos iw your capacity to handle a steering wheel after that. This is entirely to your knowldge of course.But the parking situation will be a common knowledge and I think the other will comment.

Renting a car will allow you to get around and really see the island and its many beautiful beaches as opposed to being in only one place. The coastal road is no problem to drive. The scenery is great and there is not much traffic at all. I found convenient parking at all the beaches I cared to visit. Take it slow on the road and enjoy yourself.
I rented from Hertz at the Airport (advance booking). The ride from the Airport to Patong is pretty straight forward. The drive takes around 40 minutes. The road signs are in English and Thai. You can't miss the turn off to Patong. It takes you right to the northern end of the town and the beach. There are 2 main north south roads in Patong. The beach road going north is Thawewong and one block east the road going south is Ratuthit. Bangla is an east west street you will easily find.
I was in Phuket with my favorite Bangkok Go Go girl in March. I would have rented a motor cycle if I was solo, but the rented car worked out real well for the two of us. We went to a different beach every day, had lunch there and frolicked in the ocean. Our favorite beaches were Kamala, Surin, Kata Noi and Nai Harn. Patong Beach and Kata Beach were too crowded to suit my taste. We spent our evenings in Patong having dinner, barhopping, and boom booming. We did not use the car at night.
Returning the car was really easy. I called the Hertz cell # given to me when I initially picked up the car as I entered the airport and a Hertz representative was waiting in front of the airport to take the car off my hands. I gave him the keys, unloaded my suitcase, and walked into the terminal free and clear.

Price is all in for in-call, choose or book 1 girl 2, 600 THB for 1. 5 hours (1 shot. 2nd or more negotiable with your girl) , price for 2 girls are better at 4, 000 THB (if you want a 3some. 2 shots included). Back from an awesome spent 5 days in Phuket, and also met one of the group members. Bruce. Spent 2 nights together & it was fun.
Before I get into the report. Trying to do a Sir Lancelot sytle. Day by day report, let me tell you badoo is an awesome night with chics available at the drop of the hat. I had connected with 4 of them even before I left from here. One of them even offered to pick me from the airport and drive me to my hotel. An offer I could not resist. So here we go.
Day One:
Was picked up from the airport by a sexy looking girl who worked as a store manager somewhere and did this bit for extra money ofcourse. She charged me 1000 bhat for the pick up. Not bad at all. Spome to her on the way and she offered to show me around Phuket if I wished and said she would charge me 2000 bhat for the same. Again, not a bad deal. Good chic, communication skills not bad. And not the typical pick up girl kind of thing.

Otherwise they were charging some 200 bhat. Anyways, good number of girls, but none caught the eye. Left from there and visited a few bars along the streets. It was close to 0200 hours and I stepped into Hollywood. Great crowd and a lot of girls. Saw a group of girls at a table and got into conversation with one of the cute ones (she really was cute). Spent the next 2 hours with them dancing and drinking. The club provides them free drinks, so the 3 girls just took 3 shots of some drink from me (120 bhat x 3).
At around 0400 hours, one of them offered to accompany me back to the hotel. She asked for 2,000 bhat. I was definitely not going to heckle her for the price. Soon we were walking back to the hotel. Good girl with loads of attitude. Once in the hotel, we took a wash and were inside the sheets within no time. Great service. Lots of kissing. Not to mention the love bite marks I was sporting for the next 5 days. After the stuff went off to sleep. Got up around noon the next day and after another round of boom boom, she left. Saying she will see me again at Hollywood tonite.

TerwagneThat would cost you a fair amount of money if you have to pay though the MP. Probably more than their overnight take-out rate. It will be cheaper if you can make a deal directly with the girl, but then she has to be AWOL in the MP and perhaps risk her employment. 3000 baht / day should be a nice target to aim for.
After a hectic first day, decided to take the second day easy. After breakfast, took a stroll around TigerInn hotel and saw ample of massage parlours and tattoo shops. After a few months hiatus, I returned to Phuket mostly for the purpose of meeting friends that I haven't seen in some time.
For the practical information, if you are staying in Pattaya, the Bangokok Air service from U-Tapao is convenient, leaving at 12:30 and 3:10 pm respectively. Lowest ticket price currently is Bt 2700 or so. Airport is just 45 Km from Pattaya, I just drove my bike and left it there. I got the military salute and felt like I was on a mission!
I got a rental car (kind of unusual, but proved useful as I needed to drive around and carry people) with Budget. If you book the pick-up truck, that is alway unavailable, you will get an upgrade to next category, still a modest Toyota Vios. Total price for three days came to be Bt 3400. Also the best deal on the hotel was on Expedia, getting a decent room at the Album Loft, for Bt 570 a night. This hotel is reasonably managed with the usual idiocies of Thailand budget hotels where they can insist on a Bt 30 difference for no reason, anwyay I could park the car, Internet kinda worked, no guest BS and they did not excessively dragged my balls, that's enough for me.
My rich friend stayed the Avista resort first, and the Banyan Tree at the Laguna after (plus he flew in an Hungarian escort).. The first one was a little above $200 (Jacuzzi suite) on promotion and has impressive decoration, landscape, service etc. The second is too far away for monger action, has an fantastic Japanese restaurant, and Buddha knows whatelse.
Now for the monger report, for some reason I have worked Hollywood exclusively. Coherently with all Thailand the place has sadly evolved more and more toward a regular tourist disco. Best night was Sat. With quite a few hotties in as in 7s and 8s. However the word of caution is the following, if you are over 35 and / or in a poor shape, don't bother going. Too bad I kept insisting, thinking I could play it as I always did in the past, all I got in return were three unorgasmic items (and occasionally, rational cold-blooded turn-offs) that had to be ejected after 1 pop with 1000 Bt each.
The reason is that the market has been spoiled enough so that young, muscolar men will happily take 35-40 year old fat unattractive former farmers for 2 or 3K, while the truly good looking ones will simply decline whoever hey don't like, ask 4K, or be rude. If you fall in the older category and want to party with guaranteed results, go to Tai-pan (FBI) instead.
On word aside must be spent for the Coyote club (intro, just by the bus station) in Phuket town where I partied with my Thai friend. Girls (some) look voted 9, bikini/shower/candlewax show voted 7, chances of banging one decent looking woman very low. If you do it the Thai way you bill bill will be coming in the thousand, so be aware.

I went to Hollywood disco twice during my 5 days in Phuket. The place is too dark, it is not easy to see how the girls really look like. I am 41 and in a good shape, a nordic man. There would have been several thai girls to be taken to the hotel from Hollywood. Good point is they are freelancers and don't work in the bars. So more flexible with the time, maybe.
The best looking girls in Phuket IMO were the dancers in Tiger bar complex and opposite the street. I took 3 dancers to the room, all 3000 bath for one pop. They would not go cheaper, at least around midnight when I went with them. I don't want to wait until 4-5 am for the price possibly to drop. Not worth the saving. Pics in the photo gallery. All had great bodies and reasonably big tits for thai girls. Service varied.
