Pre-pandemic entry requirements are back! No quarantine! No tests when you arrive! Just apply for your eVisa online and away you go!

Do they sell antigen test kits in stores in the Nang, Hanoi, and HCM? If so, how much are they?

Travel schedule is back on and I'm free to leave the sex prison! For the Viet expats and those on the ground, any talk of re-instating the 90 day Visa any time soon? TIA.

Hi gents, visiting the nang soon and got my night time activities lined up.

Was wondering how easy it was to get some bud in the Nang. I heard the beach areas usually have some selling but wanted to know your guys' thoughts too.

Cheers .

Long time a lurker. I am based closer than in previous years. I am interested in taking a peek. Is it possible to get a VISA on arrival?

I am a US citizen.

This is the official government evisa site. Don't be fooled by others with similar names (there's a current thread discussing this on the Vietnam board).

Sorry not a mongering report. Only a general question about bringing in 4 new cell phones. All new iphones as gifts except mine. Will customs go through my carry ons and charge me taxes for them? And how much? Or should I just take them out of boxes and wing it in my carry-on? I can ship them for 140 -150 each. TIA.

My wife is Vietnamese from Saigon originally, so we have never had any problems. I once visited and took 4 laptops, two Ipads and two cell phones, and had no problem. When my wife handed the customs official our passport she had a $50 bill inside hers. Notice I said "hers", not mine. I am hesitant to offer money as an American, whereas they expect it from a person of Viet extraction. If I were you and wanted to try it, just put a $100 bill inside your passport, folded in half, and see what happens!

Not much recent info about VN.

I'm amazed how easy it was to enter VN, previously they wanted to see exit tickets, dates, check visas.

This time I entered without an outbound flight, they didn't ask how long I was staying and weren't interested whether I had a visa or not (the visa was checked by the airline at check in).

I've nothing to report from Saigon as I see girls I have previously met here. But getting lots of hits on WeChat and other dating sites. WeChat is a pain to register as it wants someone in the same country to verify you from the qr code it creates which is a pain. I've been trying to load it on my new phone.

Once I was taking lots of high end perfumes for presents and was sweating it so I had two twenties separated from the rest of my money ready to give it to them if they asked. I would never offer it. However as I said never happened. Walked with confidence right out of there. Good Luck.

Did they ask you for Health Insurance? I have a hard time finding affordable insurance company. TIA.I wasn't asked for insurance anywhere, it was literally just a stamping of passport. I'm sure on my last trip they took a photo and fingerprints (I think) but none of that.

Regarding the previous post, nothing happened at customs, I just walked through, no bag scanning or anything.

I'm interested in visiting Vietnam for the first time. I've been to Costa Rica, Cuba, Colombia, thailand, and Cambodia and now want to try out the girls there.

Any pros / cons or otherwise ideas for visiting these 2 places. Trying to come up with a decent plan. Thanks!

If you wanted a happy ending a $5 or maybe a $10 tip in US cash dollars was all you needed. Anyone know what it is today?

If you wanted a happy ending a $5 or maybe a $10 tip in US cash dollars was all you needed. Anyone know what it is today? Most spas will expect the tip to be the same as the ticket price. At times, they will tell you this upfront, other times, it's left for you to negotiate with the girl, but the ticket price should be a ball park thumb rule. For spas in D2, FS can be had with the same price as the ticket but they will not be open about it. Just ask the girl, and most of them might agree.

Warm spa, VTB are the most popular ones.
