Thank you S.If you mean Loi Kratong (ลอยกระทง), then any place not to far away from a body of water (unless it is a lake with no outlet to a river or the sea; that will not bring good luck!) will be OK. It is a very popular festival.

My plan for such an event would be to start a few nights before, find a lovely BG you "click" with and make a reservation with her to attend the Loi Kratong festival together. Buy or make your own kratong (don't forget to put some hair and nail clippings in it), sing the Loi Kratong song (http://youtu.be/Gbt6WjULZ-g) together and then retire to celebrate your good luck in a more intimate way!

I'm planning on visiting Koh Samui for a week in December. I've emailed a couple of hotels in Chaweng & Lamai to check whether or not they are girl friendly before I book anything, I've decided to settle on the Beachcomber hotel. From an hotel point of view they have to give services to two people as these are in the rate, be the 2nd person an occasional guest or a permanent partner. Even if, for sake of argument, one is changing hte 2nd partner every two hours. Still max 2 chairs will be occupied at the pool at each given time, max 2 people will take breakfast etc. I might understand the request of third or a foruth set of towels in the room. As that represents an additional cost for the cost (if we want to be generous with the hotel!

I had an incredible week in Ko Samui. I started setting up the activities about 8 weeks prior by building profiles on the Thai dating sites. I found Thai friendly to be the best for me. I messaged 4 or 5 girls but by the time I arrived I was down to three. On my first night in town, I met up with Patty (her line name). She worked at a different resort but we met me at my place. Do you have any experience with weather in December there?Certainly once, probably in the mid 2000's or so, and it was not so good weather wise on Samui. Right up till the end of December, I remember well pulling the curtains open in my bungalow each morning and seeing more drab dark cloud cover or to find the rain already falling (and sometimes for much of the day, after which total grey cloud cover persisted). Clear skies was rare. Others will of course have experience of December (or several Decembers) where the weather was fine. For me, I always visited in different months after that and found more stable weather in other months, but even in other months sometimes it doesn't play the expected tune. At the time I remember feeling really sorry for folks who were there on two week holidays, moping around in waterproofs and sitting in restaraunts all day looking down. Google 'Samui Weather Blog' and the owner's records of daily weather each month each year will give you an indication of how it was has been weather wise each December in recent years.

Just look at the flight and hotel prices in almost all Asian countries. Most of the people make at least 2 -3 weeks out of those couple of free days. Therefore the high season is everywhere.

Well, I am writing about my first time stay in a positive way; yes I read the forum, I knew it is not Pattaya and I am aware it is low season now. Some of the posters mentioned it is tame, but I would call it almost dead because there are only a few tourists here and not only the ladybars are deserted, so are the restaurants and regular places as well. You don't want to be the only customer when having dinner, this is depressing. No worries, I am alright aaand flexible, rant over.

I stayed at the Verticolor where you get a quiet and comfortable room for 1500 bth / night in 15 minutes walking distance from Soi Reggae. I would NOT consider it a mongering place, I guess walking in with 2 ladies is not possible but it is moderately GF as long as you book for 2 persons (I did), otherwise expect 200 bth to be paid. Don't worry about the noise from the airport starting planes will only disturb you once in a while when staying at the pool.

As I suppose you have read the forum, you already know that in Caweng the action is concentrated in 2 areas, Soi Mango and Soi Reggae. To make it short, I only got laied two times but this is because I am picky, before I take a lady to the room that does not meet my standards I rather prefer to sleep alone. What I prefer is slim, at least be-cup, looks what I consider 7+, not too small would make feel like a sVcker, upbeat personality, willing to please, at least basic english no hardened bg and drunk ladies are a nono as well. Oh I did not mention I definitely prefer LT, this is because in my homecountry I can easily have ST at a reasonable price, but in holidays I prefer the GFE with a pretty and young lady who takes care of my morning wood.

The moment I saw her I was hooked, she stood out from the crowd I saw the days before, just imagine a 20 yo Isaan princess with very cute face, OK she was small, but I know when I have to compromise. While having some drinks together she told me she has a BF in europe (for this reason I will not be too specific about details) and a regular customer (young guy) she stays LT (month) with, he is apparently not here for holidays only. She was good company, entertaining, talkative, dancing. Hmm at this point you might ask yourself, why is this sucker buying drinks for a lady he will not stay with? The simple truth is, this bar is at the end of the strip next to Reggae Disco, and there yet was no one I fancied, so just have a little patience and maybe some nice lady shows up on my way back. If you are not careful she will play you, I. E. Asked me to ring the bell what I did not. So after a while I left after swapping numbers. Rest of the evening beinng uneventful, Soi Mango was nothing to write home about as well. BTW I think a scooter is a musthave. Soi Mango is not walking distance and I am used to walk, the songthaws proved to be a little bit difficult, one reason being that part of chaweng has one directed streets only. The first night I stopped several songthaws, but when they approach you can not verify if they have passengers. Unfortunatetly they were empty, so when I asked if they are bus or taxi they told me taxi OK next. Upps I got distracted, next day Paradise Lady called me if I was up for ST, so we met in the bar early in the evening agreed on 1000 bth ST 2 hours 300 bth BF being paid and off we went to the hotel. Well now comes the part when I have to confess she played me. At the hotel she told me she has no I'd because it stays at the hotel of her regular. OK, let's just try, well the hotel proved not to be exactly GF the receptionist told me she can not even stay ST with no I'd, but I have to blame myself for not asking for her I'd. I just not thought it is not necessary because she knows the rules. (Insertion, she was wearing decent clothes no obviously hooker outfit and another night when I entered the hotel the reception was empty and we could have sneeked in easily. I wish it would have been like that with PL. She did not know a ST hotel but offered to go to the room they have at the bar. Ohoh I knew that would be very low standards but I have done that already in places like Santo Domingo, San Jose, Legian, so off back we go. The first room she showed me was the sleeping room of the ladies (several matresses on the floor) and did not even has light, I said no way, second 1 small bed but light so OK here we go. Who would have imagined that under some circumstances Thai ladies do not require a shower before the deed well it happened to me already but very rarely. Without going into details she gave long and decent BBBJ and we had passionate (even in this surrounding) sex in multiple positions, so mission accomplished, but bottomline is, this was not what I had desired or I would not repeat. General observations.

The problem (now) is not quantity there are more than enough willing ladies, it is quality. There might be some decent ladies but then they are kept for several days and not visible in the bars.

Based on the effort of the younger ladies to get customers into their bar, they have a abias towards younger guys and asian customers, OK this was to be expected, but even as mid 50's caucasian you still get some attention.

Samui is a nice and green tropical island with many sights to look at, so get a scooter. I am only used to drive a car and just on the other side of the street, but I found driving safe if you drive carefully and not outside cities at night, not too much traffic, but this should change with high season.

Maybe the experienced member can advise when is the best time to visit, taking in account weather (rain and typhoon) as well as talent available, or is it almost impossible to pick up a hottie all around the year?

BTW, is in Bang Saen beach nice action?Bangsaen Beach is the beach area of Chonburi. It is a very lively community full of Bangkok tourists during the weekend. During the week it is more quiet. The food is plentiful and cheap once you go away from the tourist areas and go to the restaurants where the locals go. Seafood is especially delicious here.

As to mongering action I'm sure there is some action, although it will be again more geared towards the locals or at least, Thais. So far I only used one massageshop that offered the usual extras. I had no need to look any further as my girlfriend lives here.

It is also home to a large university and my GF who studies for her PhD here told me that some of the master students of her faculty indeed are into The Game to make ends meet or be able to offer themselves some luxuries. There is indeed not much mongering action. Most massage shops are strictly legit but you may find the odd masseuse willing to give a HJ. I myself am a frequent visitor to Bangsaen because my GF lives and works in Chonburi and I prefer to stay in a hotel on Bang Saen Beach Road. I frequent a massage shop near Nongmon market where one of the (older) ML's treats me to a BBBJCIM for a 300 baht tip (cheap but she seems happy with it).

As reported in an earlier post a couple of months ago (not by me) you may find some extras in the "Cooldown café and massage" on Long Had Bangsaen beach Road, about 100 before the Bang Saen Traffic Circle (coming from Sukhumvit Road). And about 100 meters before the Cooldown is also a massage shop ("for good health") that provides extras. But YMMV of course.

I also must mention the Galaxy Entertainment Complex. Karaoke and massage. I have never been there but looking at their website my guess is that FS is definitely available.

The Galaxy complex is at large building at the corner of Sukhumvit Road and Long Had Banngsaen Beach Road (the main road from Sukhumvit to the beach). Coming from BKK turn right at the traffic lights; the galaxy is then immediately on your left hand side.

Stayed 1 week in Chaweng and am staying Lamai now. I did not encounter any gogo at both places. At least not in the classical sense, I agree you will find some beer bar with poles and girls dancing, but is that a gogo?

My experience is, there are some young cuties (altogether maybe 6) dancing at the naughty bar complex* in Lamai. Butttttt I suspect these are pretty much coyotes or they are veeeery selective. Ymmv but for me, mid 50's caucasian it is even hard to get their attention, no eye contact, no smile. One example, I was sitting with a lady, I told I was interested in the dancers and telling me one of them is her sister (whatever hehe) she called her over. She said Hello, and left 10 seconds later, before I could even offer a drink. There is one young asian guy who obviously speaks Thai. He is doing rounds hitting on the dancers and gets some attention. Never saw him leaving with one of them. So maybe they do not speak english and / or are not comfortable with falangs especially if they do not speak Thai.

Was on Kho Phang Nang (besides Ko Samui) last month, with a pretty FL (6-7), I picked up in Pattaya before. Payed her 1000 BHT / day in cash. Plus food etc. , of course.

(Bar lady should be more expensive, because of barfine, at least. Last year I travelled with a bar lady, 1300BHT+300BHT !).

She was also happy to do the driving on the scooter, which I rented on several days, 250 BHT / day. Rate should be lower for a week etc.

Only alternative would have been expensive taxi. So, renting a bike or scooter is highly advised, to visit other beaches etc.

In case I will risk going to Koh Samui what beach is better to stay for mongering Chaweng or Lamai?Back in my archive of posts from last year (shouldn't be too far to go back) I wrote a few posts on Samui that may be usefull to you. While I personally feel that the Bar WG scene is now nowhere near as good on Samui as it used to be (my mongering there goes back to 2002, usually in Lamai), I was still getting a lot of rewarding fun in 'naughty massage' places in Lamai and Chaweng which bypassed all the nonsense of bar fines, lady drinks etc etc. Full sex with nubile younglings (legal age, of course) is still quite possible in those places without it costing you much. The key (imo) mentioned somewhere in my archive posts is not to go past a line of massage shops once and then give up based on what you see outside on that particular visit. Girls appear and then vanish at different times of day and night, and there are plenty of diamonds in the ruff. Once you've found a good one, get her number so that you can keep track of them and notify them when you're in the mood (I got some to come to my room). If I remember rightly, my old posts have the locations where these massage places are clustered these days in Lamai and Chaweng.

The best about transportation is motor bike, it will cost you per day 250 bt or 200 bt (discount for long time).

Taxi will cost you more, by example they will ask you 500 bt to go to Chaweng from Lamai (one way).

About lady bar, they will ask you 2000 bt + 300 bt bar fine , but you can deal 1000 bt or 1500 bt + 300.

Two bars I like are Full moon bar (good pool table and quiet. Sometimes) and Ploy bar (crazy ladies).

I was on KS in the second week of February and stayed at Am Samui Palace in Lamai Beach. Booked a pool view room incl. Breakfast via Agoda for THB 2500.

Nice, quiet room, fair breakfast, totally GF.

In case you are interested, there are many MPs in Lamai. I used one of several at the north end of Lamai Beach (ca 9. 468318,100. 047689) and found a nice lady there.

Two bits of advice:

1. rent a motorbike THB 200 / day at the reception. Th island is far too large to explore on foot and too expensive by taxi.

2. FLY to Samui, I. E. DON'T fly to Surat Thani and take the ferry. Though cheaper, it takes practically the whole day and getting your luggage between shuttle bus and ferry is a big PITA.

I do agree with Daddy San. I stayed at Am Samui Palace in July 2013 and it is close to everything. The beach, the shops and the bars. Avoid "garden view", it overlooks the parking lot and is close to the main road which may mean a little noisy at night.

No gogo's in KP but a sufficient bar scene spreaded along one of the roads departing the urbanisation where the ferry docks. Maybe 10/15 bars, not so intense as other locations, but you can find bar girls and have entertainment.

You will need a motorbike of your own to go around.

This is not necessarily the best thing to do, to be honest, but distances are significant.

On the ground here on October. I moved between chweng and lamai. Hotel price are 800 but can be head for 700 a night. Quality is top class assuming you know where to go. At chaweng try Arreya guest house which appear in google maps. Lamai has "mae som boon house" excellent choice. Both places has not a reception so you can bring a dog to your room if you want.

Massage girls can be taken out to hotel for a ST for 1000 bht at low season price after some bargain. Best thing is to rent a motor bike and look around as the area in chaweng is a bit spread out.

Bar girls quality is below average and massage girls can be OK, still most of them are Mom's from ISAN.

Motorbike rent is 150 but look for a shop that do not take a passport as deposit. Try jumbo rental at chaweng. 077-231020 or at south chaweng since the area around green mango is super expensive. First thing is to buy "happy tourist"internet package for a month. I did it in pattaya at central festival.

The best looking bar girl I have found in lamai, tall, white skin and slim. Unfortunately,all other girls in most bars both in Lamai/Chaweng are typical ISAN darker skin but here and there you can get lucky to find whiter skin.

Ladyboys are everywhere as well. I do believe samui is a perfect balance for beach vacation as Pattaya become too chaotic with sky high prices for girls but yet very cheap for food and accommodation.

On the ground here on October. I moved between chweng and lamai. Hotel price are 800 but can be head for 700 a night. Quality is top class assuming you know where to go. At chaweng try Arreya guest house which appear in google maps. Lamai has "mae som boon house" excellent choice. Both places has not a reception so you can bring a dog to your room if you want.

Walked along the Chewang Beach road and found the place teeming. After locating all the major places, decided to have a massage. Opp to Kasikorn Bank is the road that has Nida's Massage. When you walk further along the road there are quite a few massage parlors. Went to one which was names 'Welcome' since there was one young and attractive girl sitting outside. It's hit or miss for what we like. I came here for 5 nights, cutting it short to 4.

The girls are laid back, in the sense that if you're a party animal and they like you, they will deign to give an offer or accept yours. If I lived here, or did not come here alone, I might have had more patience for it.

Tonight I feel like checking out Lamai as a last resort, but from what I can see, it's this:

Everything revolves around the Chaweng area. Soy Greenmango is your best bet. My friend who works here told me to start with Henry's Africa Bar, then the Ark Bar. At the back of Soy Greenmango are several beer bars with girls, in my experience, the ugliest one will come and talk to you, as the other girls that beckon you in stay at the front.

Dreamgirls at the beginning of the road is the only "gogo bar" that I could find, and I use that term usely compared to what I've seen elsewhere. No nudes, and the mamasan smilingly will approach with the menu of 5000 baht long time. Long time meaning, they will stay till 6am. A ripoff obviously.

The end of the street has Greenmango disco / restaurant which fills up late in the evening which is your best bet for the late night takeaway. It is however a mix of all sorts of tourists, Thai girls, some African girls, and other foreign guys. If it's your thing, it is here.

After 2 am, a curfue comes into force, and then its goodnight. Koh Samui, for a partying area, sure seems to sleep early.

There are still options, and some clandestine bars, like Henrik's bar, that remain open until 6 am with girls still inside, but hit or miss again, especially during low season.

Overcrowded with couples, tourists with children, and ladyboys everywhere to get a laugh (I'm not laughing). A tourist trap.

For me, this is my first, and will be my last time here. Been to all the major places in Thailand now, Pattaya is King, hands down.

Actually I never even got to discussing prices even. I went too early at first. Around 07:30 - 8 and it felt like I had arrived before time for a house party. The girls seemed unprepared to get into their act and not ready to entertain much. Next day I returned to pick up her friend who barely spoke English and there was a miscommunication when her friend asked her to translate what I had suggested for the night . She thought I wanted her to go along for a threesome and told another customer to come another day - that after he had already bought her an LD. I apologised for the mis-understanding and told her to get back to the new punter. The way she interacted with me from the night before, I got the feeling she was hoping I was a regular or working in TH, someone who would be her sugar daddy over time.

The girls by the lake in contrast couldn't care if I even ordered a drink so to speak.

I stayed at the Montien House. It's close to Soi Green Mango. Under 2500 baht in June. They have rooms over 30 sqm. Has a pool and good breakfast buffet. No issues bringing ladies back. The only issue is noise. There is no place in Chaweng that you can escape the noise from the Ark bar's thump thump thump. Also, Chaweng is in the direct takeoff path for Samui airport.

Good luck with the 1000 baht short time. I tried, but no dice. Have a great trip.

I just stayed in both towns in May. Both have plenty of places to get P4P. Massage parlors, gogo bars and beer bars. Chewang's Soi Green Mango is a mini Bangla Rd (very scaled down in comparison). A couple gogo's and a bunch of beer bars. Soi Reggae was all beer bars plus Club Reggae. Lamai was all beer bars in three areas, but more mellow. Personally, I enjoyed Lamai more. Chewang seems to be oriented for a younger crowd or at least it feels that way. I'd say that Chewang has better talent in general, but I had no problem finding someone I liked in Lamai.

The one time I was in Koh Samui at end of 2014 I stayed in Beachcomber Hotel on Chaweng Beach, it is a good Hotel that I can recommend and below THB 2,500 per night. It's about equi distance between Green Mango or Reggae. Far enough from Ark Bar so you don't get that noise, but everywhere in Chaweng you can't seem to escape the noise of the trucks blaring the music advertising the Muay Thai fights!

First time visit to Thailand and spent 3 days in Ko Samui with the Mrs and another couple. Getting time to myself is always difficult when traveling with the Mrs. I searched the forum prior to arriving in hopes of formulating a blitzkrieg plan but couldn't find any info on FS places around Fisherman's village. But with the huge quantity of HJ massage shops around I knew there had to be something. I was expecting him to turn down a quiet side street or maybe pull over and point the place out but not my luck. The place is a normal looking massage shop right on the main highway in front of everyone and everything. He pulls right up to the front door where all the ladies are sitting outside and starts chatting them up to make it clear he referred me. So here I am sitting on the back of the scooter waiting for the guy to make his point to a bunch of massage ladies while tourists walk by. Joy. We speed off back to 7/11, pay the taxi a total of $6, purchase my things and head back to hotel.

I spent much of the 2nd half of November in Lamai Beach. Here are some general notes of what I found.

Before the King's funeral and the next couple of days, the whole area was dismal. Things picked up after the funeral.

Lamai has 2 major clusters of bars. The first area is in the busiest part of town. The easiest to spot bars are Longhorn, Sexy Sex, and Super Girls. Those bars had nothing that interested me. The girls were just not appealing. Old. Probably never pretty. If you are alone, they may come out to the street to talk and rub your crotch. Desperate.

Another major area is about a 5-minute walk south. Easiest to spot bar is Suda. Another Bar is named Green. This cluster had a mix of has-been and never-was girls mixed in with some cuties and a some lady boys. There are not a lot of good options, just a few young pretty girls. Be sure to check the whole area carefully. Over the course of my stay I found 3 worthy options, two of which performed very nicely in my hotel room. GM, no International transaction fee credit cards and ATM cards are best with family. Plenty of ATM machines at airport and elsewhere. I assume you will be transiting so you should get some local cash as soon as you spot a BANK ATM machine. The exchange shops will break large bills for you.

SimpleGuy85 was nice enough to point me in the right direction on my last trip to Samui but I've lagged to post here. See the attached screenshot for the approximate location. The road is the south end of Had Chaweng 1, also called Suan Uthit Road. There are a row of massage places and girl bars between the First Residence Hotel and Family Mart on Route 4169. I am sure it has some good points, but never was a favourite for me.I'm too old to enjoy a month of intense nonstop mongering. Samui is a good change of pace.

I've visited Samui October through February and the weather was good enough almost every day. It's a compromise between a relaxing beach vacation and a wild mongering trip. I like Lamai beach much better than Pattaya, cleaner and more relaxing. The bars have few hotties, but I've always found one that pleased me. Certainly the choices are far fewer than Cowboy, Nana, or about 4 areas in Pattaya.

Prices are not too much different than Pattaya. Of course, there is nothing comparable to the top Bangkok or Pattaya areas. The Samui bar areas are more like a smaller and toned down Pattaya Soi 6.

I've also had better success in Samui at meeting non-working girls than in other parts of Thailand. The employees at tourism based establishments seem to be more approachable than in BKK or Pattaya, at least it has worked out that way for me. That has led to success in meeting vacation girlfriends who are more enjoyable than someone I might pay.

Over this time, obviously there's been change. From a sex tourist perspective, it's been mostly downhill: many of the bars are either desolate or perpetually for rent. Still, if you have time, something can always be found. A bigger (and worse) concern is the appearance of mass Chinese tourists. Once they overrun and destroy the laidback, relaxing beach, Lamai will be done for. There's also the increasing presence of downmarket retirees (of the ex-military contractor types). After last visit, I went over to Phuket to check out the burgeoning detox facilities there (some are state of the art) but found even more Chinese and the beach an absolute plastic soup. Even so, I'm anticipating a forthcoming Lamai visit and hoping for the best.

Pangan was better (outside moon parties). Huge sandy area inside a stinger net on Haad Rin, hardly any jet skis. The stinging plankton on Pangan was unforgiving though. At one point no one ventured into the water any more. A full-body lycra suit was a good investment. No visible mongering action on Pangan. Happy shakes a scam.

For a beach holiday alone or with GF, Ko Chang or Ko Lanta win hands down.

I should have made clear that my "upcoming" trip is not until early Jan though I suspect your comments equally apply. As I've never been to Pattaya I have 2 days there and want to experience it once. This limits my time in Samui / Phuket to only 2, max three days as I have an outward flight back home via KL so have to get back there.

In honesty I'm not overly that worried here about the quality of the sea! It's really about the quality of the mongering options in Samui or Phuket. Having been to KL then Pattaya I'm thinking I don't really need / want the big showtime feel of Bangla but I do like Phuket as a place otherwise. Backstreets away from Bangla round to Amari were a bit grim when I was last there though. I like Samui as a place and the airport is close. Just wondered what the action is likely to be like in early Jan. Lots of reports in several forums of bars closing (Pattaya) and wondered if the scene now in Samui might be a bit dead? Lamai has 2 clusters of about 8 girly bars each, one cluster along the main strip and another a bit to the south. Sometimes as few as 3 girls per bar, sometimes as many as 8. Most of the girls are a bit older than ideal, but there should be one per night to make you happy.

If you want sex at a Lamai massage place, I doubt the large shops along the main drag offer much, but I could be wrong. If you go by the south cluster of bars there are a few massage shops along there were you can get a crappy massage and sex from an average looking 25-40 year old Thai girl. I think I paid about 1500-2200 THB for those services.

JB.Most of my experience is in Lamai where the free lance scene is not large. I managed to meet one who was hanging outside the 7-11 on the main Lamai drag just south of the center of town. I met another in a bar playing pool across the street and a little bit north. Neither was a fantastic experience. I think each one of them charged about 1500 or 2000 THB.

If it is free lancers that you seek, Lamai isn't a great location.

I spent over 2 weeks of February in Samui, most in Lamai. Here are my impressions.

Watch for the clusters of lady boys at the bars. One of my friends was tricked at the boxing ring bar cluster. He had already made a verbal deal when I happened to see him and question his choice. Watch for the standard warning signs: narrow hips, deep voice, overly aggressive, flat shoes, overly feminine motions, and Adam's apple.

But, the bar fine is only about 500 baht and short time is only 1500-2000 baht for the best lookers. I found some good performers who earned my repeat business.

I found very few free lancers.

Don't go to Lamai Beach for the sex life. Go for the beach, nice weather, cleaner air, and relaxed environment. The limited available sex life is just a bonus.

Severe rain and some flooding on Samui this week so I'm out of here but a couple quick notes about what I saw last week. Black "restaurant" in Chaweng is busy most nights and great after 10 on the weekend. Plenty of ladies and good variety some younger some old etc. Some decent looking massage ladies in bangrak between ghost road and the airport road. Massage ladies in Chaweng looking worse and older IMO. Lamai had many massage shops open but very few places to have a drink. No real lookers IMO. Last night I walked by all the girl bars in central and south Lamai Beach. I would estimate a total of 75 girls looking for dates and about 40 men drinking and chatting with other men. That's a lot of bars for so few people. Groups of girls. Groups of men, mostly older. Not much interaction that looked like it would turn into ST or LT.

Lamai Beach has never been known for high quality girls, but this is the lowest that I've ever seen. The night before I was in the lower Sukhumvit BKK area where quantity was low, but to me the average quality seemed higher than pre-COVID.

Last night I walked by all the girl bars in central and south Lamai Beach.I've now walked all the bar areas of Lamai Beach. Perhaps slightly better looking girls to the north than the south, but in 3 nights I've only seen about 3 girls who are worth bar fining. The bright note is the group of about 5 massage places just north of the bridge has some good looking girls. One of them suggested that she spend the night with me in my hotel (I declined).

Lamai Beach is a BYOG kind of place now (bring your own girl). To my knowledge, Lamai has never been a great mongering destination, but it is really bad now. By contrast, I would say BKK lower Sukhumvit has many fun things happening right now.

I would never recommend Samui as a mongering destination. As a whole, it's much quieter than other tourists destinations in Thailand.

The grounds look nice and it close to the beach?It does look beautiful in the pictures but it is a fair way out from Lamai main street with the bars and restaurants (assuming more have reopened since January when I was last there). I have not stayed at the Auru so cannot comment on guest friendliness. The best place I have stayed in Lamai is the Lamai Wanta or The Hive, as it is now called. It is right on the beach and 2 minutes from the main street. Be aware that Lamai is not a hotbed of WGs. No problem bringing guests into the Lamai Wanta.

Pre COVID had plenty of taxis readily available, in March 2022 you could easily find a taxi, but you may need to search for the driver. Lamai is small enough that I walk everywhere, but many people don't like to walk that far.

We spoke on Saturday and he says there are plenty of working girls, but most are old and unattractive. Only a few scattered doable girls. He said Chaweng isn't any better.

I've never noticed any of the moon parties drawing extra working girls to Samui.

The second week of September is a long time off, so things will change (for bettor or worse). Whatever is in Samui now is different than you will find in September. It's more a vacation island than a party spot. Look, if you guys just want to grab some girls each night either on the street or at the "beer bars", yes there will be girls in certain areas, and yes you can fuck them. Its just a far cry from BKK stuff. On getting high, I don't know the current weed situation there, but you can prob find it, and maybe mushrooms, maybe. From Koh Phangan, there are some places that sell molly, but if you're just going over for the party, you won't have time to get it, but you can do mushrooms shakes at mushroom mountain. They're a bit pricey and just OK, you'll probably need more than 1.

OK on the party -- yeah you can do the boat over / back to Koh Phangan, it works fine, but be prepared to be up all night.

Back from Koh Samui. The island goes back to life, good flow of tourists, specially in Cheweng, already widely described here.

Once tired of the 'message' booths with their usual treat, I went to discover The Resort, which seems to be the one and only 'classic' brothel on the island.

It is situated 4 to 5 kms from Bo Phut, and located in GMaps. The sign on the road called 'Happy Inn'. Rather than a 'Resort', the place looks more like a provincial motel in Brazil. Only more run-down.

I enter through the wide-open glass door, and first come across a tiny Burmese employee, her face covered in white argile mask. Scream like.

She accompanies me to a tatty karaoke lounge. The official activity seems to be karaoke nights. Then comes the tea lady, a Sino-Thai, not too graceful.

Ratecard (I got a discount of 500 be each time), 1 hour service:

3500 be: standard room, aircon, 1 girl.

4500 be: room with large bathroom, aircon, 1 girl.

5500 be: idem with 'a star from Bangkok' I. E. Girls with bigger breasts.

5/6 girls come together, phys. Say 6 to 8, rather young but one. I opt first for Kuhn, 30 yo. Takes care of me in the bath with a rather repetitive technique. We continue in bed, etc. , I won't give details. Pretty girl, easy-going, but fairly average performance.

I went back another day with Macha, a 'BKK star'. She knows how to use its main asset; otherwise she was rather disappointing.

There are more places for one, it has younger girls, and it is also the place that the freelancers on the island congregate to as it has more punting tourists and it has Hooters, Hard Rock (closed), Green Mango, Hush and The Black nightclub, amongst other larger bars and places. Tho if you are getting ST for 800 baht at Lamai, that is a way better rate than you will find in Chaweng.

https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083124829647I was in that area a few days ago and didn't notice that bar, but the Facebook post is months old and bar ownership and ladies change quickly. I'm on Samui now and was here in December, I recognize very few of the same women.

I'm mostly in Lamai, which works better for me than Chaweng. There are hundreds of bar girls to see, but only about 20-30% are doable and about 5% are of a quality that could get customers at the Nana Plaza go go bars. The hotter bar girls tend to get bar fined before about 2100 and they tend to prefer all night sessions, so I suggest starting early.

I've called 3 TF girls over the past 2 weeks and all arrived on schedule. One was exactly as expected from TF, one was much worse than expected, and one was much better than expected.

Average doable bar girls tend to ask for about 1500 baht short time. The best looking girls ask for 2000 short time. I assume the many uglies ask for less than 1500. Bar fines run between 300-1000 ST. Several places do not allow bar fines to start until late at night, even though they want you to pay the bar fine early in the night. So if you pay your bar fine at 22:00 you might end up sitting there buying drinks for 2 hours before she can go with you. Not all bars have the same rules, so be sure to know when the girl can leave before you pay the bar fine.

Thanks.(1)I fly from BKK to Samui, price is not too terrible. I don't know of a direct ferry from Bangkok to Samui, if it existed it would be 450 km (about 12-20 hours). You probably mean a "bus plus ferry" option. The bus takes you from Bangkok to somewhere in Surat Thani, maybe a different bus to the Don Sak pier, then a ferry to Samui. I've never done the bus system, it's probably 15 hours. I have twice ridden the SeaTran ferries, nice ride. I've heard horror stories about the Raja ferries, so I avoid them.

(2) 3 days sounds about right for the Samui touristy stuff. Mongering is normally easy in both Chaweng and Lamai Beach, but there are never a lot of hotties. I keep in touch with 2 Samui P4P girls and they both went home in April because of too few customers. Don't expect to find many good P4P options.

(3) Can't help you with hostels, you can get a decent Samui hotel with breakfast in June for 1600 baht or less. You can find some under about 1000 baht if you don't need to be on the beach.

(4) During high season here are often European girls traveling with friends, but I've never seen any European or African P4P girls on Samui. I'd guess that 70% to 90% of the Samui P4P girls are Thai. The other 20%-30% are a mix of Lao, Vietnamese, and other Asian nationalities. Last visit I did about 7 overnight sessions with a 24 year old Lao girl, she was great but she is back in Laos now. Most of the Samui P4P girls look over 40, very few look under 25.
