Not that the Wolf needs any defending but what he is talking about could be an ideal setup for a more "veteran" monger. If you really like the country and plan on spending significant time there this plan can work out well. Right now I am still learning the ropes, but I can already see how easy it could be. Especially if you spread them out between different cities and live in another one. As my my track coach used to say, "Variety is the spice of life".

I just got back from my first trip to DR. Stayed in an all-inclusive and had to take buses or cabs to get out to the fun towns. They have the ultimate no-tell motels here. I have seen some in my time but this was crazy. You drive into a garage and park your car. Then close the garage door and the room is attached so nobody sees you coming in. When you leave its the same thing. All transactions for food, beer, and the room fees are done through a special door (see attached picture). The TV only had one channel some porno tape that they just cycle through 24/7. Another thing that totally freaked me out was the ceiling fan decorated with condoms!(see attached picture). This was day one of my trip.Two photos of my girl for that night attached.

I stayed at the dominican resorts in Bayahibe. The girl and the cabanas was in LaRomana. Kinda bad staying in the all inclusives. I even warned the guys I was with but they booked it anyhow saying it would be good and it was exactly as I described to them. It became much more expensive because I had to travel to LaRomana and back and also pay for extra rooms. The cabanas were $15/night. They were the lowest level rooms around. The best rooms I could find in town were only $43/night and I bet for a week it was a little cheaper. You know what they say hindsight is 20/20. Anyhow that was just the first girl I was with. There was PLENTY more. The girls ranged in price from $45-$70 with a bar exit fee of $15-$20. See the attached picture for what I felt was the best looking one of my trip. She was amazing looking. One thing I did notice about ALL the girls on my visit. They ALL were starving for some reason. The girl in the picture weighed maybe 95-100lbs and she ate 2 chicken sandwiches, 5 pieces of fried chicken, a salad and 2 orange juices. I can't eat that in one sitting!

I've stayed at all three. The Hamaca is very stylish but (as you said) not good for the "hobby". El Candil is a very nice, comfortable "boutique" type hotel with about 25 rooms and nice pool and snack/lunch bar. The pricing is around $40 per night for a one bedroom with kitchenette and refrigerator.
I, personally am partial to the Palace however. The owner John is a great guy, he'll make sure you have a good time and there are always a friendly group of travelers staying in house who will be happy to help you get a feel for the town. prices from $28 studio to $100 penthouse (ballpark)

As a newcomer in the Bay of Sosua (but not in other monger’s destinations), I want to share with you an interesting finding in DR.
The context. First, I don’t speak Spanish, except some few words (which, I finds out, is a major obstacle to have contacts with non-pros, my preferred targets). Second, I was in Sosua with my family. I booked at the Casa Marina hotel, a family all inclusive resort which is not girlfriendly, for the only purpose to be just at two streets from the scene (and from a bargain-hotel to fuck the chicas : Calypso Hotel which rent rooms for one or two hours for 300 pesos).
So my experience couldn’t be very original (and never be the same than during my trips in the previous countries I visited alone : basically, Cameroon and an Arabic country).
My trick was: having a beer in the “red light district” for 30 minutes at the evening (so my wife don’t worry too much about my absence), choosing a girl and dealing a appointment with her for the next morning or afternoon (when I can escape my family during one hour or two without making them worrying). I made it only 4 times during a two-week trip.
I share some comments of Harbag (except the tricky and the stealing problems). I was not impressed by this destination. On my opinion, the average Dominican girl is not as attractive as the girls in other countries although I appreciate very much the chubby brunettes. Too many of them have a big beer belly. I like big boobs and big asses but I hate big bellies (a unfeminine feature, on my opinion). Second critic: the non-pros are not easy targets. So if you can’t spend hours to chase amateurs girls in speaking in Spanish (I would have loved to that), you are doomed to talk to the bar girls who are, most of the time, too much professional minded (I don’t blame them, it’s their job).
The charming point of this trip was this: many of these girls, not older than 22 or even 18, have babies (they are all single mothers). Mother Nature has already given them big breasts; But having to feed babies, their breasts can become very big (I appreciate that). Out of my 4 fucking sessions, 2 were with girls producing a huge amount of milk. I spend long minutes to drink that (one became mad because I was stealing her baby’s meal!). I never experienced that before with other girls in other destinations. And it remind me good souvenirs from my childhood. The taste of Dominican girl milk is like a coconut milk: very light, sweet and perfume. A true delicatesse.

LorenzoYou can find info on the Palace at http://sosuapalace.com . You are correct in assuming that it is a brothel. It is by no means a "Palace." The accomodations are fair at best. It is not unusual that someone overpays and at least once in their lives the experience was not so hot. Overpay does not guarantee good quality. Also, if I am correct, this might have been Reality's first time in El Bohem. Actually, the chica looked better in person so the picture does not do her justice. I picked up a chica in Crystals, one time. Believe me not the best bang for the buck. Ana Mirian (formerly Luz Maria), near Puerto Plata charges salida of 1000 pesos. One can pick up a chica at Classicos for this money. At Ana Mirian it is 1000 salida, and about 1500 for the chica short term. For this one can pick up two chicas at Classicos and still have change left over! Many rave about the place but it is too expensive. For those who do not have negotiation skills and/ or do not speak the language I guess will be stuck overpaying, unless they have a good translator. Sometimes, though, there is that one that catches your eye and some are willing to pay the extra money because that particular chica has a certain fascination for him. I agree. This one guy, by himself, is responsible for the prices going up. I bet he set fire to Mrs. O'Leary's barn. It was not the cow. The truth of the matter is that it is more than one person. It is thousands of tourists to the DR. There is nothing you are going to do to stop the increase in prices. The best we can do is say no when the price is to high and walk away. I have seen girls say no to a 700 peso descripancy and sit there all night without one customer. They will do it night after night. If no one was paying them they would not stick to their guns and demand these incredible prices. I use to go to Bohem and Crystals. No more! The price is to high, the girls are not as pretty as they use to be, and the performance has dropped. Should I give up on the DR. Absolutely not! Sylvester is right about the locals not paying these prices. But then again the locals do not mostly hang around the tourist areas. I recall my first day in Costa Rica. The driver at the airport who was taking me to the hotel asked if this was my first time in Costa Rica. I said yes (I know, guys, I should have told him no. Considering I was not going to allow him to steer me anywhere I didn't see the harm in it!). He then said that he could hook me up with some chicas for $100. I told him he was insane and that the locals wouldn't even pay such prices. I then asked him where and he responded Idem. I informed him that Idem had ugly chicas. He wasn't aware that I knew he would ask for a commission if he took me to the place. Also, he was surprised that I heard of the place. He kept on naming others and I knew each and every single one of them, and could easily size up the quality of the situation. He couldn't accept it was my first time because of my knowledge but he did admit that locals would never pay the prices that tourists were paying. In DR the locals can go anywhere on the island and unless we know someone we are limited in the area we can cover on the island. Even with this bargains can be had if we stick to our guns. Everyone tells me that Mexico has been spoiled because of overpaying.
Listen, it is simple economics of supply and demand. If noone goes to El Bohem, Crystals, and Ana Mirian then these places will be forced to lower the prices. The first two have been around a long time so this is not happening. Look at Blackbeards. It was something like 1500 pesos short term and 3000 pesos long term but last I heard they lowered the prices although someone told me it is still negotiable. There were cases of chicas being found outside Blackbeards, in Puerto Plata, and they were much cheaper. At the Palace the chicas were charging too much. They were asking 1500 short term while at the discoteque chicas could be picked up for 1000 pesos and even less. After having sex with them the first time one could always go lower if they wanted to do them again and they would accept. Some of the chicas at Dominos and Four Roses would ask for even less. Around two or three in the morning chicas would be floating around and when you ask them they would quote prices. Use the simple line that it it late at night and not much can be done with the added statement of a lower price and believe me they will take the bait. Believe me if a chica has not gotten business at 3:00 AM in the morning all is lost until someone like you comes along and throws her a bone. They'll jump at at. If not there are others. Reality is telling us his experiences and like I said we've all overpaid at least once in our lives. If I told you I never overpaid for anything I would be lying. Live and learn.

As a newcomer in the Bay of Sosua (but not in other monger’s destinations), I want to share with you an interesting finding in DR.
The context. First, I don’t speak Spanish, except some few words (which, I finds out, is a major obstacle to have contacts with non-pros, my preferred targets). Second, I was in Sosua with my family. I booked at the Casa Marina hotel, a family all inclusive resort which is not girlfriendly, for the only purpose to be just at two streets from the scene (and from a bargain-hotel to fuck the chicas : Calypso Hotel which rent rooms for one or two hours for 300 pesos).
So my experience couldn’t be very original (and never be the same than during my trips in the previous countries I visited alone : basically, Cameroon and an Arabic country).
My trick was: having a beer in the “red light district” for 30 minutes at the evening (so my wife don’t worry too much about my absence), choosing a girl and dealing a appointment with her for the next morning or afternoon (when I can escape my family during one hour or two without making them worrying). I made it only 4 times during a two-week trip.
I share some comments of Harbag (except the tricky and the stealing problems). I was not impressed by this destination. On my opinion, the average Dominican girl is not as attractive as the girls in other countries although I appreciate very much the chubby brunettes. Too many of them have a big beer belly. I like big boobs and big asses but I hate big bellies (a unfeminine feature, on my opinion). Second critic: the non-pros are not easy targets. So if you can’t spend hours to chase amateurs girls in speaking in Spanish (I would have loved to that), you are doomed to talk to the bar girls who are, most of the time, too much professional minded (I don’t blame them, it’s their job).

Just curious Tomas how much do you think Americans or Europeans should be paying for pussy on the avarage in the DR?, Also you have plenty of people in the DR that are living off 3000 pesos to 5000 pesos a month and I know them personally.
I know this questions was not aimed at me, but...
I just got back from a 5 month extended trip in DR and have been going for a couple of years now quite regularly...usually for a month or two at at time.
I think the price one pays depends on where you get them and the quality of the chic. One can easily pay 1,000 pesos or less for a quickie or a couple hundred pesos for a decent BBBJ, but what the hell will she look like? Will she be fat and ugly? An undesirable? Most likely, but then again, different strokes for different folks.
On the other hand, I aim for quality. Sometimes you find quality just by walking around in the shopping centers in Santiago or hanging around the Universities in POP/STI/SDQ. Sometimes all it takes is an invite for dinner and drinks. But when you have to pay, something in the neighborhood of 2,000 pesos ON AVERAGE should be a good gesture. Sometimes it will take 1,500, but sometimes it will take 2,500...but again, these higher prices have to do with the higher quality.
Yes, I know of many people living in DR with salaries of 3,000-8,000 pesos, but they also have supplemental income coming in from another family member or friend that may be sharing the apartment with them, etc. Some may have struck it rich with a lost gringo and saved there money during that short lived relationship and can now afford to live on 3,000-8,000 pesos a month working a regular 5 or 6 day a week job.
For one, I was paying for a decent 1 bdrm apartment in El Batey, Sosua, DR that cost 5,000 pesos per month, but then there was electric, cable, and gas so it ended up being around 7,000 pesos a month. An apartment in Sosua Bajo costs around 2,500 pesos, but it is in a less desirable and more isolated area. Apartments in Santiago cost about the same as in Sosua Bajo.

Thanks. I decided to post pics once again to show everyone that there are beauties to be found down in Paradise. I normally frequent the Puerto Plata area, Sosua, and Cabarete. I also do short 3-5 day trips in between to Santiago and the capital.
You just need to know some conversational spanish. Hello, Take me to..., What's your name?, How old are you?, What's your phone number? , Where is the bathroom?, How much is it?, How long?, and Your numbers - like 20, 30, 50, 100, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, etc.
The rest takes place back in your room and you can then easily just use hand gestures to show them how you like it or what you want. It can be fun this way.

The following pictures are of a girl and her girlfriend that I had met at one of the bars on the beach. At night they work in one of the MP. The price was 500 pesos each for S.T. They both were GFE. I was suppose to meet them again but never did. They are from Santo Domingo but are sitting in the beach bars every afternoon.
This girl I met while coming back from the beach as she was walking into Costa Lunga to use the internet service and I let her know I was interested but did not think nothing more of it as I did not think she was a player type of girl since she was driving a newer SUV.. When she was leaving she spotted me walking across the street and jumped in her SUV and caught up to me and asked me what I was up to. I then told her to locate a girlfriend of hers for my friend and we all would go out for the night. Her friend turned out to be a real beautiful and actually we had a great night. She was a real GFE but in the morning I got into a hassle with her as she wanted 3000 pesos and I would only give her 1000, as price was never discussed. My friend also paid 1000 pesos to her friend and she happened to be very happy with that. They actually came back to the El Candil looking for us on a couple other occasions but I was never available. One funny story about our night with them. We went to the casino in Hamaca and when we went to enter in the casino my girl, the one in the picture opened up her purse and took out a 357 millimeter pistol and handed it to security to hold on to. At that point my eyes were popping out of my head and I was wondering what the hell was I getting myself into!!!!!. I guess she is licensed to carry it and has it for protection. I believe this girl has associations with the DR Mafia. You could tell this girl also had money as not only was she driving a new SUV, but she had nice clothes and very expensive jewlery, and owned her own house which she showed me right in Boca Chica. The house was not small by any means. Her friend who was with us also worked at the casino for several years but had quit prior to my arrival in Boca Chica.
