usually I have fun. I am just an average guy who prefers to think positive and tries to have fun, no matter what happens. Life is too short to waste time with being mad. If there is shade then there must be some light.
To be honest I am currently very pissed about a few (exactly 3) members of this forum. They claim to be perfect and like to blame me for being honest and trying to warn others. They never admit of making mistakes themselves and like to play godfather. Real life is much more complicated than they want to realize. What pisses me off most is the fact that they do not read carefully and do not try to understand what I say, only repeating their insults towards me. You only have to read in the "General section".
But why do you ask ? You have been one of those mentioned above.
Anyway, I do not want to continue that stupid discussion or move it to a different section. It will end exactly here. PERIOD
Guys this back and forward stuff is getting really old, really fast so how about just getting back to the posting of some photos? So let me start us back on the right track here are four different girls all shot in Pattaya this year, all 18 or older and all available to be bar fined tonight, any takers?

You are half right about this one, the one in the upper left corner I did post before and she does work at Living Dolls. The girl in the lower left hand corner is Lek and she is now working at Champion A Go Go on Walking Street, Pattaya. The reason I said you are half right is three and a half years ago she started to working the bar scene at the old Black Out A Go Go, which is now the location of Living Dolls Showcase. And not to start another war here but she just turned 21 within the last month, so how old was she when she first started to dance at Black Out A Go Go? Enough said about that topic.
I hope we can get back to the posting of more photos soon. By the way Lek is a great bar fine always lots of fun and she loves to have her picture taken.

I do not like GoGos that much, but Champion is one of my favourites. The girls are not as pushy as somewhere else and never had one from there who was in a rush. Non-alcoholic drinks seem to be a bit cheaper than in any other GoGos as well. Do you know why they do not show those porn movies anymore ? Not that I miss them, just curious.
I will definately take her when I will be back in april/may. If she should change and move to another place could you provide her phone number via PM ?
BTW, I used to know the owner of the old Black Out A GoGo, but haven't seen him for quite a while.

You're right about Champion, the drinks are less than other Go Go Clubs. And they're still showing the Porno films on the TV's or at least they were on Thursday night when I went in. Lek's number is #8 and I don't see her changing bars as she is the star of the bar.
I do like Living Dolls Clubs a lot and I know many people within the two clubs, and they all like to talk. But I'm not affiliated with them or any other club in Thailand. I don't always agree with what the twoLiving Dolls clubs have done. Over Christmas they just flat out ripped off the guys going in with very high bar fines for over two weeks. And now they still charge 600 baht for a bar fine which is higher than most other clubs.
And no I do not believe we have met, I find it better to keep a lower profile and to run alone or with people that don't know my posting name.

BTW, could you provide any info about a nice apartment in the Pattaya section or PM to me ? A friend of mine wants to stay there for a few months and I used to own a condo, house or rented a room in a hotel so I can't be of great help. I know a few like the Nova Park, but these are too expensive for him. Maybe you know a cheaper but still nice one.

I guess its time I lit incense at the feet of the master of this board and beg for advice on photo uploads.
I've posted many images to the China board, but none come remotely close to the quality of your uploads. I'm your biggest fan, without a doubt. There is a thread going there now in the photo gallery section if you're interested, and I won't quote any of it, but suffice it to say that I really need some help.
If you have the time to bother with this, your advice may help many, not just me. Hence the post here instead of PM.
Briefly, I have a Canon A40 (2 megapixels), which may in fact be the whole problem. I haven't figured out how to store images on the Canon in RAW, it may not be RAW capable. I use the highest storage quality, but they still download to the computer (iMac's iPhoto or Canon's File Viewer) as jpgs around 350-400k or so.
I then transfer the image from iPhoto to Photoshop as TIFF files to edit (iPhoto allows exporting as TIFF). I know people hate that, but the Canon A40 lens and color are so bad, this editing almost always makes a better image.
After editing the TIFF file, I save the file as a jpg, maxed out at the highest compression quality possible. There are three compression format choices, (baseline standard, baseline optimized and progressive) but "standard" results in the biggest file, so I assume its the best. In truth, I really don't know what those formats are.
My question is a simple one: How the HELL do you get such great resolution. That four girl montage is truly excellent! And the photo of the girls in the mall back a month ago blew me away! What can you tell me about your magic, oh venerable master?

I use a Canon G3 presently taken high resolution pics (4 MP). This is my 3rd. digi-camera and the best so far.
Your 2 MP A40 should also give you h. quality shots you'd be satisfied with. Allow me to suggest just transferring from camera to pc and use your editor program without converting.
Re.: programs
Photoshop is a professional program used in the industry by all.
Fireworks is also excellent but highly advanced for the hobby photographer. Fireworks was also designed for a webmaster.
For picture editing, try Paint Shop Pro. It's basically the same as PS but much easier to use and excellent for editing your photos for uploading to this forum or others desire f.ex. printing from your pc. The program has a capture function for loading to your pc.
I have and used all 3 programs and PSP is adsolutely the easiest to learn and you get good results compared to the other more expensive programs. PSP is probably one-fourth the cost of the other programs. You can probably download a trial v. from their website.
Briefly, my 4 MP G3 shots load into the program, PSP as 11 MB large. That's poster size. I resize, sharpen and then use the jpg optimizer to reduce the pic to lower KB without losing too much quality. Then save the file. Of course this is trial and error on the users part. You can also adjust brightness plus almost all the other features in PS.
I will be in Cartagena for Easter and BJ for the summer. I hope to have many pics to upload. Of course I have many pics now but they are not appropriate for this forum.
Your owner's manual should have the info regarding taking in raw if possible. Then upload to a program and edit accordingly. Finally, save as jpg.
You can also just buy a G3 or wait a couple of months and buy the new Canon 8 MP out soon.

Cronin, if your images are downloading to your machine at 350-400k or so, that means that you're not shooting in the highest resolution the camera allows -- on the A40 in large/superfine mode your files should be in the range of 900+k. I believe the Canon A40 stores things as jpegs only, which may well be the core of your issue, as that means compression is taking place which can result in jaggies or pixelization -- it's not as good a format for hi-res storage as is TIFF or RAW.
Photoshop is and always will be the program of choice -- it's simply the best thing there is, and the choice of any professional, though the latest Fireworks and PSP are't bad. Since you've got Photoshop there's no need to really think about any other program. I don't really see why you're exporting as a TIFF when Photoshop can simply import your jpegs -- I don't know much about iPhoto's export function, but that may well be adding some noise or resolution loss into your pictures. Given that Photoshop can convert pretty much anything, and has extensive filters available for buffing images, why not use that for importing the images directly?
You are correct that baseline standard is generally best, but another key in Photoshop is also to make sure that image quality is set to 12 or maximum (depending on the version of Photoshop you're using; in some older versions the max is 10) and please note that in some versions you may have to use the slider to get there, as selecting maximum may not put you there. This means that your jpeg saves are lossless -- you may in fact see your file sizes get even larger as Photoshop uncompresses things your camera has compressed. Ignore optimized and progressive -- they are basically different encoding methods which aren't supported by everything in the way standard is, and while they have some uses, they really aren't worth bothering with for what you want to do.
Just a note -- if you're putting things in Photoshop and saving as TIFF files to have lossless compression, you might as well save them as native Photoshop PSD files, which does the same thing but adds the ability to work with layers.
But that's baseline stuff: I, like you, wait to hear from SexReview about his specific techniques since what a program can do and what someone can do with it are two different things.

Your pictures are fine and pretty good. If you are using Photoshop 7 (I don't remember if the same function is available in ver.6) then there is a menu item under File which says Save for Web.
Use that with the image and you can adjust the quality and fine tune it. You can save it either as a .gif or .jpg file. Both are good for the web.
I don't want this to be a PS forum, but you can PM me and I can give you more tips and tricks.
BTW the pixes are hot!

first let me say many members have given you lots of good information here. your pictures are very good and i don’t think you really have a problem with them but more the limits of what you are dealing with.
in general about taking photos, the more you know about taking photos the better your results will be. even if you use a camera set on automatic, if you know the effects of f-stops, shutter speed, asa, light, focal length, lighting, and the limits of your camera and your personal level of skill using the equipment you will shoot better images.
i really think one of the most important things is being comfortable with your camera and knowing what the results will be before you snap the shot. because of digital cameras this part has really become very easy, just start shooting a lot of pictures, in different lights, with flash without, indoors and outdoors. it really doesn’t matter what you shot and you have no cost involved because you don’t need to process film because you are shooting with a digital product.
try to forget about the photo programs you can use to improve the picture and just shoot the best shot you can as it comes from the camera. programs like photo shop should be used to just polish and put a few final touches on an image. after all we want to see some real pictures of the girls. with photo shop you can take 20 or more pounds off a person, remove marks on the body, change hair and eye color, put the person in a background place that they have never been, and at that point why bother to take a picture in the first place just create a computer image. but as i said i think your photos are great these are just things i’ve done to improve my photos before using photo shop.
about your camera 2 megs is not really a lot and that is affecting your image. all of the pictures that i have posted have been shot with 5 meg plus digital cameras. and a larger image will always reduce down into a better looking picture because you are putting more data into a smaller image size. turn off the digital zoom feature of your camera and forget you even have it. only use the optical zoom within the camera, not the digital zoom. try to not shoot people using a wide angle lens, it can distort your image. i would not worry about shooting in a tiff or raw mode because i think with all the conversations you are doing you are losing image quality and not gaining it. shoot in jpeg mode with the camera set to the highest image setting. i know tiff is higher than jpeg but i think the end results will be better for you using jpeg. jpeg is a better format to view on a computer screen and if you adjust the photos for the computer they will look a little better.
try to not crop your pictures, just reduce down the size of them. that way the images will be much better. also try to handle the images as little as possible because regardless of what you have been told they do degrade a little each time you change and save them. i keep a master file of all my images as shot and a working file so, when i need a picture to rework i always start with a clean copy.
shoot with as much light for indoor pictures as you can, because if you have more light the camera will record an image with more detail. also, the photo will be much sharper than one done in lower light. if you must shoot in low light using a flash get as close to the subject as you can within reason so you can make the most of the light your flash throws. also i’ve found that darker skin girls will shoot much better than light skin ones because even if you over power the flash they will not wash out. the hardest shoot i ever did was with a girl from norway, because the flash would wash out all her detail, she was so light skinned that i had to shoot with indirect flashes.
about photo shop, it is a great program and i do use it. a few things i have found are that the auto adjustment features are really not that good i like to make smaller adjustments using the manual features. most pictures tend to look a little better if you adjust the curves. but don’t try to really overwork a photo because it starts to look fake.
the posting with the four pictures combined into one that you posted about was made with photo shop. one of the reasons it looks good i think is because the images were shot at 2000 x 3000 and then reduce down to the 240 x 320 sizes so lots of information within them. also when you reduce a photo it becomes sharper. which lends me to the last thing i will post about this here, made all your adjustments after you have resized the image first.
just keep posting and maybe think about moving up a little in your camera that you shoot with. don’t let anyone tell you your pictures are not good because they at, they are also real pictures of real girls shot on location and not in a studio, and that makes them even better. you can do a lot with photo shop it is a great program, below is a before and after photo of lek from champion a go go walking street, pattaya.
this photo was just a quick snapshot done on walking street one night when she was acting very playful. as you can see the before photo of the left was already a nice shot of her, but by using photo shop to blur the background out and sharpen the image on her it really makes the photo stand out. i also took the liberty to remove the birthmark she has over her right eye. most of the time i would leave it in place but in this shot it drew too much attention.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm a very adventurous type. It just made sense for me to do some homework before I arrived. We're all different. People are either primarily internal or external in the way they make decisions, i.e. where they choose to get the information upon which they choose. Internal types are usually go-it-your-own types, and that's fine. Works for them. External types learn best from others, and that's my primary type.
I get going with what I learn from others, then go off on my own. This way is the fastest way for me to learn. We agree in that part of the fun of exploring the Thai scene, or for that matter any scene, is finding things on your own. I just wanted to jump-start my adventure with years of another's experience and knowledge.
The best point I can make in this regard is my years of mongering before discovering this board. It was great before, but now it's easily an order of magnitude better. Principally because of interactions with other members, just like this.

I see your point. Personally, I find the Thai scene very easy in terms of access for adventure. But, finding sources of information can lead to a faster and more productive experience for some people.
One good source of info are the girls themselves. I have found lots of useful info from them. For example, some girls will recommend their friends based on what I like in terms of looks and skills. This has worked well for me and have had great 3somes or met new girls in the biz... Also, the more adventureous and open minded "regular" girls have been a good source of info and some have been as wild if not more than working girls.
The best info comes from the inside.

I think everyone is adventurous, however many of us don't speak Thai and have a 7-14 day time limit and want to get as much action as we can in that time. So, of necessity, we need to take short cuts and it sounds like people like Globotto provide an excellent service (at least it sounds reasonable to me).
Boards like this one are a great help too.

Just thought I would try to get things back on track.
I had my eye on Som (23), another Nana parking lot girl, for a few days, but we kept missing each other until my 2nd to last night. I shoot with Sony and Nikon Equipment. The Nikon D1X is a great digital camera(5+Megs) that uses the Nikon series of lens. It is a professional camera and a little on the heavy side but it preforms great. For those not wanting to spend $4000 dollars for the camera body alone but, want to stay with Nikon look at the D100 (6+Megs) which is a consumer level camera. It is about half the weight of the D1X and a third the price, the major difference between the two is the D1X is a all metal body which will stand up to the rigors of professional shooting. The D100 uses a plastic body and will preform well, but doesn’t have the heavy duty body. I don’t like shooting on the street with the Nikon because it draws lots of attention.
Most of what I’ve posted was shot with a Sony DSC-717, which is a great camera(5+ Megs) with a lot of features. It is lighter than the Nikons but the lens is not inter-changeable. And you can pick on up for about $700 dollars which is a great price. I purchased and took delivery of the new Sony DSC-828 which is a 8 meg camera ($1000.00) and so far the test shots have been great. Can’t wait to get back to Pattaya and shoot a few thousands shots with it.
I don't like to setup lights because the girls tend to be drawn towards them and the pictures look unnatural. So I use the lights in the room and the camera flash, plus sometimes a second flash.
About posting your photos you should because this is a information board first and foremost and the more photos and information the better for everyone.

Secondly there are only two photos where it is obvious a flash was used that is an achievement when you concider the hotels usually put in the smallest light globe. I use a 4mp ricoh rr1 which the flash strenght is never predictable I will post some I have taken with it one day.

SR - I took my Nikon 5700 this time, as I can't get a smaller camera to hold up for very long. (They always break in one way or the other). I have the earlier version of the Sony (3 megapixel version), and was considering the 5 megapixel version you have.
I rarely take pictures at the full 5 megapixel range though. Usually in the 3 megapixel is fine, quality wise.
8 megapixels? I'd hate to think how much memory that will take to store. You'd need a 1 gig card to store 5 images! :)

I don't know if it is brave or not but between, the D1X, The Sony DSC-F828, my laptop and a video camera it is more like 15K in cameras and support. But I've never had a problem and they are insured, why own something if you don't take the time to enjoy it.

I had a Nikon 5700 but I didn't like the pictures it took many came out with a blur to them. Other than that it worked great. And I have one gig cards for the new Sony which seem to work very well.
You guys can look for Earth but as I said she does a lot of Long Term bar fines so good luck. Also don't think that because I took pictures you will or will not be able to do the same thing. Some of these girls I worked for months over a few trips to get them to the point that they would take a bar fine with pictures. Of course that fact that I was taking all their friends helpped a little I think because they wanted the baht.
But don't think you can always walk cold into a club and get the hottest girls to do photo shoots because it doesn't always happen. The girls must trust you first and the extra fee for shooting pictures doesn't hurt your case.

In BKK you can get second hand camera at Pantip Plaza. Before I have priced new cameras in Thailand and found them to genarally more expensive than say in the US. But if you want a new one they have lots of shops that sell them there as well.

SR I do agree with you, about the photos, I used to do a lot of shoots here in Europe for websites, (Canon Eos D60 and XM1 Video) Once you have done a few shoots of girls and they know you're correct, moneywise and treat them right, they tell their friends and it's a lot easier to get them infront of your camera, but when you just show up and ask to take pictures, most of the girls are worried about where the pics will end up.
That's why I'll take my D60 with me next time instead of a disposable haha, I just didn't trust it for the first time in LOS

Greetings from the PRC. Let me take advantage of a break in the action over here to send out a sincere and profuse THANK YOU to all those who stepped up to help me a few weeks back. So many kind people with great replies to my request for image improvement! I won't take up too much space for this (Jackson has a great new photog section, and its not appropriate here anyway), but a lot of people got involved and I wanted to thank all at once: Skinless, NY Expat, Joe Zop, Far East Andy and my own digital Buddha, Sex Review. I was surprised, thrilled and humbled at the wonderful information and the selfless care of those posts. I hard copied the lot and re-read them often. Obviously, this is a labor of love for all of us.
I will continue in the photog section asap, but in short, I've learned what I was afraid of: my Canon A40 is just not up to the task. After weeks of consideration, I'm leaning heavily toward the new Nikon D70 digital SLR as my new toy. Planning a purchase in Hong Kong very soon. It's way too much camera for me (I don't know an F stop from a fuck shop), but I would rather grow into a camera than out of it.
Here's a tidbit of my frustration as an example. Yes, I know, this is the Thai section and these are Chinese girls. But dammit, I don't have any Thai photos for examples. What I gained in using the highest A40 res setting (and all your great advice), I still lose in the final image resize to 640x480 in PS. GRRRRR.
