Still not so simple except paying for the whole van right? Racing for the front seat means longer wait for the van to get filled, and buying two seats will not work if both middle and 3rd row each has only one seat left. I have been stuck in the middle seat of a fully packed van for too many times that I really don't want to take them, and yet, there is no other good options from HK airport, damn.

FillmoreWell, you can take the big bus to the Huanggang border, then hire a private driver to take you back. Maybe it'll cost you 300 total. About 100 for the bus and 200 for the private car to CP. I'm not exact on pricing, just an estimate. Problem is you have to get out and walk at the borders.

Either that, or make sure you come in with others and hire a driver together.

Not many other options other than taking the CP HK train at Hong Hum.

I usually just grin it and take the van. Try to get an edge seat or a front seat and just bear the ride. Usually the whole van isn't going to CP so it's usually packed until the border and then some people get off after we get to Shenzhen.

Anyway, I tried several models at FH and I found them less fun and not willing to provide service when taking home. Anyone had any luck with getting BBBJ from a model at FH?

Similarity with the blue tags. I have tried a few of them and also, they are in general much less willing to give BJ.

FillmoreThe only "insider / outsider" I am aware of is that BSD frequently has parties he arranges for groups that are specially set up for invited people only. I suspect they are guys that are traveling together or business people that have clients with them, etc.

I've never been "uninvited" to an open party, even been to a few that were put together by people that had special requests, like no smoking or just playing chill music, etc. I have always had a good time, viva la difference!

There have been a couple of times I wanted to try to go to KTV, but only one or two other guys were interested and I was looking for something with a little larger crowd. I've actually never been in a KTV party with less than 4 guys, maybe that is something I need to explore. Always looking for a new adventure!

As far as the model BJ? I don't know, because I have never sat a model. I haven't been able to justify the cost difference, but there is one at FH I may try on my next visit. She keeps giving me the "eye" and I must admit she is cute! I'll let you know if it happens.)

FillmoreI don't think parties are ever exclusive. I think what you're referring to is predesignated groups that are set up on their own. Like groups of guys who just come to party with each other. Not really looking to "add" others. Frankly speaking when we party we always welcome others who Dave suggests to bring in. Although we do have some tolerance limits for odd ducks out there. Most don't fit in that category as most people are easy going. But there are some who frankly speaking are undesirable to party with.

They are far and few between.

Sometimes though, Dave does his own filtering, when he knows folks don't mesh. Frankly speaking, he knows what people's styles are like and he knows enough to see who fits well with who else. Some people can universally get along with anybody. SkyRyder is a perfect example. He is happy and has a good time in any situation.

Others are very specific as to what they want and like. I am more of a preference guy. I prefer a certain style, but depending on who is partying will be cool with other types of partying. There's no "exclusivity" here or any "insiders" here. Anybody can start a party and whether others join is up to you.

I just remember Fillmore, that you were a sing your heart out type of a guy. When we had our own party without music, you opted to open your own room. No big deal. Just your preference. As such, whenever we have the no singing party, BSD may have mentally noted that you'd prefer not to join because of your past preference.

There's definitely no "exclusion" of any type. Most of the time, everyone's invited. But we have had some nights we only wanted our friends there. That's perfectly fine too. Just the other night we had 5 girls and 3 guys. Nobody else. Dave wasn't even supposed to sit in our room on that one because of our objective that night. It was a fun different experience, but that's what we wanted.

Just last night I asked dave what was going on . He said certain number of people were down and asked if I wnted to join. I could not commit, so I opted out. But again, it was a spur of the moment thing and it all depended on who was around.

Fillmore, you are certainly welcome to party with us, but note that if we are coordinating the party, we will likely have no singing, and the ipod will be running most of the time. We usually do singing if any later in the evening when most are drunk already. .

No problem, I don't have to sing at every party, so I will be like Sky Ryder next time I join you guys.

That one time I did have problem, but it was more because too many people in that room. It was the early days of BSD's venture, so I am sure he is much better in arranging these parties now. The rooms at FH can also be crazy as one 780 room can be 3 times as big as another of the same rate.

That night the room was good for at most 4 guys with their girls but when I walked in with my 2 girls, there were already 6 guys there (with at least 2 girls each). We had no place to sit, so had to sit on 3 separate little stools. One guy (the only caucasian in the room) was very nice and he pushed and vacated some space for me and my girls on the couch, but it was really tight, we cannot move! It was quite obvious that everyone was uncomfortable to see us adding to the problem and it was more to return my favor to that guy that I opted to get another room.

I will be coming over again end of May so I will try again, and like I said, I don't have to sing and I don't have to drink red wine.

Most of bbs has moved to inside aparment some moved to a room in Lucky hotel, some are charging 200 rmb ST and.

Been following the posts here. Will be in Dongguan for 1 night tomorrow (Sunday night). I'm an ABC (American Born Chinese) , and speak Mandarin. So I could pass for a fairly young local guy. Staying@the Hyatt Regency, which I remember to be out in the middle of nowhere (!) , and looking for easy FS in a massage parlor / sauna nearby, as I don't want to bring any WG's back to hotel. Also don't want to play any "games" at the local bars / clubs. Rather get down to business! I don't mind paying for better quality.

Why would you pay 200 for a bus you can get for 160? A 40 rmb surcharge to buy a ticket you can eaily walk over to buy on your own seems a bit odd to me. I can understand paying for services regarding a BBS gal. So does that mean you pay him the 50 and still have to pay the house fee of 250 for the girl? So you're paying 300 now?

Seems like this surcharge for everything doesn't seem that straight forward. I mean yah, you said he doesn't want anything from the KTV or drink, but what does that mean in terms of your KTV experience? Are yo ustuck in a room full of Chinese speaking guys with nobody to talk to you?

If that's the case, why even go to a KTV?

Anyways. To each his own I guess. But this doesn't sound like such a great deal my friend.

Remember guys it's not just about the penny saved or spent here. The experience is what it's all about here. I mean paying a few extra duckets here and there and saving here and there when in the end, it all doesn't make much of a difference in price but makes a difference in experience is costly for those with limited vacation time.

Hunghom-Lowu = 41 minutes.

Crossing Border = 20 minutes via the passport Channel plus time to buy duty free cigarettes.

Waiting for CRH train = 4 minutes.

CRH train Lowu - Chang Ping = 27 minutes.

Total time = 1 hour 32 minutes!

If I had taken the direct train, the journey time would have been scheduled for 70 minutes but invariably, it would at least be 75-80 minutes PLUS I'd have to wait for the scheduled train AND spend 8 minutes prior to boarding to clear custmom etc and another 5 or so minutes to clear custom at the China side. At least the same 92 minutes and I wouldn't have been able to leave whenever I wanted to leave / go by the Train schedule.

FillmoreIn my opinion the vans are the easiest way. Not sure how to quantify "best" because interms of comfort, the best would be private car all the way from HKIA to your doorstep in CP. The way you're proposing is pretty complicated and would take someone with lots of understanding and knowhow because there would be lots of transitions along the way that could get you tripped up, as well as involve lots of language skills.

I personally don't like the train as much because you usually still have to get form the trainstation to your destiation, which takes time. For example, while the train from CP to SZ is about 30-40 minutes, the time ittakes to get from both TO the train station and FROM the train station easily adds another 20 minutes each way along with WAIT times for the train.

A private car, gets you to SZ in about an hour. To your exact location. No fuss. But of course if in traffic, that's a different story.

Of course the costs are what are the driving factors here. So the 45/50 rmb for the train from CP to SZ plus the cab from the airport to the SZ border, may cost about a van that takes you striaght to the door step of HH.

Anyways, just giving some options and my opinion as to why I don' think for those who don't know the lay of hte land, taking the train is best option.

FillmoreFrom what I read on your post, I detect that you had been just going from HKIA to Huanggang and then taking a taxi to Lowu yourself.

I THINK / am pretty sure that you can catch a van from HKIA directly to Lowu (although still via Huanggang). Just ask at all the counters at the HKIA. In fact, I'm pretty sure that they've also got vans going to a lot of the hotels in SZ, including to the Lowu Shangrila which is just across the street from the CRH terminal.

But unless you're definitely enamored of the CRH, why don't you just take the direct Eternal East bus from HKIA to the Miraton? I think they've got an hourly service via Huangang that will take you straight to where you'd most likely need to be in CP I / o having to sort through the Taxi Mafia at the train station.

I actually had the DJ picked for me on my last trip as I was really late, my flight was delayed. I called her at 7pm when boarding the CRH and told her exactly what I need and she picked 3 and said one was very pretty. When I arrived, sure enough, one was indeed pretty but the other two really not my type, so I ended up asking for more line up at 8pm, and luckily one model was "red" so she was still available that late, and then later on another girl was sent to me as she was late to work for some reason and she was really pretty, so I ended up keeping just the model and this later girl and the 3 picked by the DJ all just wasted 600. The model turned out had fake "red" so it ended well for me luckily.

I know some of you had BSD picked your girl when you are late, so maybe I am just very picky, but man, I waited two month before I can come to China and I damn sure want to have the girls I really want with me.

FillmoreCathay Pacific have 5 flight a day from the US to HKG and 3 flight from Canada, I always take the midnight flight it leave SFO at around 1 am and arrive in HK 6. 30 in the morning the next day and you have all day and you will be in CP by as early as 10 am if you take the bus to Shueng shui train station one stop to Lowu and take the bus to CP, I can get to HKIA to CP about 3 hr.

FillmoreWell that is 600 you could have spent on a driver. If you are going to party landing at 5. 15 and want to get there for 7. 00 take the driver. Sure at 1200/1000 (depends on their mood) it is more expensive than other ways, but a time saver. Vans are at least 230 + 20 taxi to hotel / KTV. You 'wasted' 600, that is already 850.

To the airport sometimes BSD has other people going at similar times and you can split the fare (one time we had 3 guys so we went private van (note it is a big van not a car) for 400 each. I slept through the border crossing woke up at airport, they didn't even wake me at the crossing.

You really need to prebook the driver. There are plenty of taxis to take you inside HK (I suppose you could go to a border crossing in a taxi then call a China driver to come to Shenzhen to get you). That might be cheaper but you have to walk across and will have to find the other driver. (not sure what HK taxi rate would be).

You could call or text the driver from the US before your flight left, usually you will know it is delayed before you depart so do a quick call / text to the HK driver to book them. But drivers to China mainland don't just sit there and wait for a fare, and you need someone you trust.

A bus to Sheung shui is obviously not going to be the fastest and I don't think the casual Hong Kong visitor is actually going to be able to accomplish all that you propose. And thus I would instead recommend just cabbing it to Sheungshui. Take a Green New Territory taxi which is cheaper than the Red ones.

And I'd opine that going by bus to Sheungshui just takes too long / too complicated.

The Lowu border is quirky. Sometimes its a breeze and other times it can take quite a while (much better these days though. In the past it could sometime take up to hours!). The same with the CRH train ticket line; most times all it takes is a minute or so. But like yesterday (still Labour day holidays) I lined up for at least 30 minutes. Just to get a ticket, and then had to fight my way to get on the train. Which actually was TWO trains (approx 30 more minutes) prior to the one I had a ticket for. This is no big deal in regular times as the trains are usually NOT full. But yesterday! $#* :}

SZ-CP is RMB 45 for regular and 50 for 1st class.

Sheung shui to Lowu is HK$ 18 odd.

For a newbie, might be a better idea for him to take coach or van to CP directly from HKIA. Google search hongkongairport. Com, look for Transport, Transport connection to Mainland China. CP is listed as one of the destination there. Coach is cheaper, but the more pricier (can't remember exactly how much I paid, but usually is less than HK$200 for trip to ShenZhen) 7 passenger van would be very comfortable as you do not required to get off at the border check-point of both HK & China sides. The driver will hand-over your travel document & Embarkation / Disembarkation forms to Immigration officer inside the booth of each lanes. No Customs checking, unless someone brought the officer's attention. I usually take services from the company called Eternal East. These companies have counter on the left hand side, right after you came out from the Arrival Hall exit.

Just wanted to add my two cents to the forum on the value of using someone like BSD as a guide through paradise, for us newbies.

Quality is so-so, and service is not the same, it's alot more basic (but better then nothing, if you really really need it) otherwise, save your money for DGNear to Zhongshan is a KTV that has (if I remember correctly from about 4 months ago) Sitting fee is 100 RMB, so pricing is something like 1/3/6 (?). Myself and Banana888 did not get there, but you might want to contact him via ISG and see about meeting him at the KTV near to Zhongshan.

Basic idea is that if sitting fee is cheap (100 RMB) then it encourages the girls to go ST or LT with customers, and 300 ST (500 LT) is pretty good. The only warning is that you need to get to the KTV before 8pm to have a chance at finding pretty girls.

As this was my first CP experience, recently, I didn't really know what to expect. Some aspects were quite amazing and others not so much so. Flower street is definitely an experience that will be hard to forget. Partying in the rooms was also knock out fun, but once the action gets back to the hotel room, things tend to take a turn for the ordinary. Most of the girls become shy and reserved, even if they were freak out fun in the KTV room. A bit of false advertising I guess. Get enough attention in the KTV to get to the ST or LT price points. If these girls ever get to the point where the action was at the same level afterwards as before, then I would have to say that true mongering heaven has been achieved in CP. Until such time, I would still recommend going to CP for the overall experience, but don't be too disappointed if the "fun" don't "blow" your brains out (cause the girls won't either).

First time poster. Been reading through the pages, and have been seeing mostly reports about ChanPing, and not so many about Dongguan City (Dongcheng) , so I figured I'd put in my two cents.

A buddy of mine was over here from Amsterdam, so we decided to sample a few different KTVs and saunas.

The saunas.

First up, Nile Hotel in Wanjiang, near the Metro.

New hotel, sauna rooms are very nice. Have been there 3 times in the the past month, and all 3 times was extremely satisfied. Normal room rates are 265, but if you call Owen, the manager (he does speak engrish) you can get a room for 188. The girls were in the 600 to 1000 RMB range (I get 100 off cause I'm an ABC. Hahah) but if you call in advance, you get 50RMB off. I know, it's only 50 RMB, but put it this way, buy 20 get one free. A nice plus, if you're there at a reasonable hour, the sauna actually had a little dining area where they serve you free food after your workout, fried rice, fried noodles, fried eggs, etc.

When my buddy and I were in the taxi on the way to the nile, our cab driver asked us if we were going to play, we said yes, and he said he knew of a better place. He told us he gets a commission for bringing people, so was pretty straight forward about it. We told him we'd go with him the next night.

Sauna 2: Xihu Club (Nancheng area)

This was an old school sauna. Not as new and fresh as the nile, but this place had character. Their rooms were 118 a night (if called in advance) and were pretty cool. Two floors, with an atrium (enclosed, but still gave you the feeling of being outside. Girls were 700, 800, 900 and 1000. Not as good looking as the Nile, but we were there pretty late, so selection may not have been as good. The upstairs had a 4 poster bed, and while the mami said the girls wouldn't allow you to tie them up, my girl said if I went back and picked her, she'd let me do it.

Sauna 3: Baibuckingham Sauna (Dongcheng, near bar street)

This place was a cross between the Nile and Xihu in terms of decor, but they did not charge a room fee. The girls were 600-700-800-900 depending. Having had extensive experience in both towns, assuming you're a newbie I would recommend CP and not CA. CA is indeed more "wild" and has way better saunas than CP, but these activities are not really geared towards the newb.

Was in CP in April but couldn't report as I got stuck with too much work and no P routine back in Stateside. But one of the parties that BSD hooked me up was a party with some Malaysian Bros. Man I have made about 6 visits to CP in the past 1 year and this was the Mother of All Parties. Thanks to the Malaysian Bro's who allowed us to party with them and BSD for hooking me up! They knew how to have a good time! It was one of the larger rooms at Mayflower and a room fool with some really good hotties where closthing became optional at times reminding me of my visits to FKKs. BTW I am a bit biased towards Mayflower sorry FH fans as personaly I have never had a dud from Mayflower. The party was awesome and the chicks were friendly and Hot Hot Hot. I hope BSD kept the number of the hottie I earmarked for my next trip in June. BSD throws great parties and I have always had a great time and any newbieis especially those who don't speak the lingo I would recommend using his services.

What I have gathered from talking to my friend and reading the fucking forum backwards and forwards is there are three forms of entertainment in town: Saunas, KTVs, and BBS. That pretty much every big hotel like the Miraton hotel, Hui Hua hotel, Virgin, HuiMei, Clipper, Swanlake, Peninsula, FuHao, and EurAsia has a sauna inside with a lot of attractive Chinese girls. That the KTV's also have a boatload of hot females inside where you can meet the girls, party and then bar fine them back to your hotel for the night.

I think for my first time, a four day side trip from Hong Kong would be just about right. I know how to get to CP from Hong Kong. I speak no Mandarin. Therefore, I think I should visit the top saunas first, get my dick wet, and get the lay of the land. Then maybe, time permitting, take in one of the KTV's, possibly with BigSwinginDave if he is up for it.

At this point I only have a few general questions like what are the best Chinese restaurants to check out and what to do during the day. Any suggestions from you guys would be much appreciated and feel free to critique my tentative plans.

CP is like a resort town so many things to do.

1) Sleep and recharge.

2) Wake boarding in songshan lake. Google it. It's 1/2 hr from cpb.

3) Go karting.

4) Legit 2 hr massage for 11 USD.

Restaurants kfc mickey the, s and tons of Chinese food. You won't find a mortons steakhouse.

Pay for a room and pay the girls to party with you. That's the scene to blow you away. Did notice that they start early though and seems if you get there later the best girls are already taken.

First thing is you should be prepared to be "wowed" a little. I am not sure what amongst the activities you mentioned hold the most allure for you, but if it were me, I would reverse the order. If it were my first trip with little or no language skills, my first contact would be BSD. (Little more than a year ago I shared your situation).

I would try to make a KTV my first stop, but I enjoy a more social interaction. It would also give you a chance to see numerous girls "in action" albeit in a public setting and is low risk as far as "duds" are concerned.

The saunas are numerous and Dave can steer you to the ones most highly ranked and even suggest a few girls' numbers for you to consider, depending on your personal tastes in women. I don't do many BBS, but a couple of my friends have great success, and have even begun to find some gals they have turned into a LT girl and enjoyed an entire day with them.

My personal favorite restaurants are the Dim Sum in the Miraton and a Japanese fusion place in the Lion Hotel. One place not to miss is the corner table at the Legends Cafe, just down the street from the Clipper Hotel at about 4:30 pm for an hour. Have a beer, and enjoy the SOP (Sea of Pussy) that parades down the street on their way to work. It will give you a real appreciation of what possibilities await you for the evening.

I also have a couple of favorite street food places, but will save those for later.

The truth is there isn't much going on during the day, but I have become addicted to the footies and massage at PZL. The footies are really an extended social event and what starts as an hour or so massage, winds up being a relaxing, enjoyable 3 hour afternoon with a cutie attending to your every (almost) need. As I said almost. The body massage is without a doubt the most sensuous, non-sexual experience I have ever known!

Other than that there is not much going on. I have found a couple of decent golf courses if you play, Dave can set those up as well.

I feel I must give you fair warning, this is coming from a guy who can appreciate the beauty of the Chinese women, but never found them to be "hot lovers". Prepare to contract a malady which is becoming known as "CP-itis". It seems that I have a pretty bad case, not terminal, but requires constant treatment. It is so bad that it was just easier for me to relocate to CP instead of trying to ignore the temptations here.

I hope I am in town when you decide to journey this way, it will be a fun filled four days I am sure. Feel free to ask any questions, I am sure there are many willing to offer suggestions.

MacI couldn't agree more. It's so true what Sky said. If you couldn't be@Legends in time, no worry, just walk all the hair salons in town in the afternoon (like 4pm-ish) , you would almost always find a few hotties getting prepared to work. I once just walked up to 1 to ask where they work, and her phone number. This is IMHO even better than flower street. However, be prepared that some of these hotties already have sugar daddy, so you might get a cold shoulder from them. But no worries, there are plenty others to approach, just be "thick skin".

You don't need directions in CP: it's a one-street town, a street you'll get all too familiar with if you spend more than a day there.Actually that's not really true. CP isn't a "one street town". I'd say there are two "centers" for mongering. The main strip (which is probably what Golfinho is talking about) and the Swan Lake / Clipper area. Which has a hub of BBS's and some KTV's in that area.

Main Strip is where HH / Virgin / Miraton / Century are at. Lots of shops, big hotels, and stores there. It's the "classic CP". From the olden days when Lion was the only game in town.

The Clipper / Swan Lake area is where Legends Cafe is. IT's located about a block down from Clipper, on the right hand side as you're heading towards Mayflower / Meibao, etc.

Anyways, always good to get accurate information. However, navigating through CP is NOT tough. Just know the names of the places in Chinese. Don't get in a cab and say "Swan Lake". The cab driver will look confused and take you in circles. Best to stick to places with Chinese / english names like "Hui Hua" (main area). Or "Jia Yi" (Clipper area).

-JettYes you only need to know Hui Hua for the start of the main drag of hotels with ktvs or Jia Yi (or Fan Chuan Jiu Dian) will get you to either location. Jia Yi is off swan lake road and in an odd spot for starting. Yes middle of the drag on the road half way between Mayflower (Wu Yue Hua) and Clipper (Fan Chuan). Don't bother trying to say Manhattan in Chinese they don't understand it alot, and Swan Lake's Chinese name too hard for english speakers.

Hui Mei is also an option as a drop spot, though rooms not as nice as Hui hua. Huimei is mid-drag.

Hey thanks guys for the tips and orientation. I will put up a review when I am down there. Its been years and Mayflower was definitely not there when I went. Places and structural changes are so drastic when it comes to developing towns.

In the mean time, I just went to a KTV BOSS in Guangzhou and it was the normal. The girls are not to eager to be taken out, and topless nudity is frown upon. I can't wait to see the aggressive behaviors of DG ladies. I like these a lot, but I am missing the full nudity of a strip bar in the USA. If you head to NJ, there is byob full nudes. Well, I guess I have to see what CP has to offer.

Even with the cards from the Hotels / KTVs with names in Chinese, there are problems with the cabdrivers. It is hard not to conclude that they are illiterate.Just a friendly reminder for those frustrated with the fact that most people in China do NOT speak English.

That OTH, most people in China speaks AT LEAST 2 different dialects of Chinese. Putonghua and their own province's language. Plus usually a smattering of the dialect in the province to which they've emigrated to I. E. Sichuanese, Guangxi, Jiangxi etc natives coming to work in Guangdong Province speaking decent Cantonese.

And within each province, there are also different dialects which are totally separate languages I. E. Most CP natives speaks not only their own unique Chang Ping Dialect (which sounds more like Thai or Cambodian) , Cantonese and of course Putonghua.

My recommendation is to is to stay at Hui Hua hotel in CP. Very high end. You won't be disappointed. In hotel services and a KTV to boot.

I guess I could have made the following reports in the "Living in China" thread but the incidents that I am reporting did happen in CP and Guangzhou respectively and with all the brothers coming to CP and Guangzhou, I hope that you will be extra careful when encoutering the following situations:

CP Incident 1:

My driver XC told me to avoid riding in the "bread" cars if you are not familiar with the driver. There are quite a many of them crusing around CP picking up customers and in most part they are safe but never get into one alone if you don't know the driver. The scams that are being reported is that when a lone passenger rides in one of these vehicles, the driver is in communication with his accomplices and when he stops at a traffic light or he takes the passenger through dark secluded alleys, his accomplices (upwards of two guys or more) would board the vehicle and kidnap the passenger. The passenger's personal belongings (money, jewelry, watch) would be taken as well as his things in his hotel room and safe. Additionally, they will withdraw money from his ATM and / or credit cards. They will beat the victim until he gives up all his information and have taken the maximum amount of money before letting him go. One case reported that the victim lost over 50K RMB and was in the hospital for a few days for his injuries.

CP Incident 2:

One of the Hui Mei mommy told me the other day that a patron at the Hui Mei hotel was robbed and beaten inside the hotel by accomplices of a WG working in a fake BBS in the Hui Mei area. The patron came from Malaysia and was mongering in CP alone. He apparently went to a shop that was just a front for unsuspecting / uninformed customers. When he was showering, the girl let 4 guys with weapons (pipes and knives) into the room to rob the guy and threaten to beat him up if he didn't open the safe and give up his PIN number (s) to his ATM / credit card (s). Since the guy did not want to be beaten up, he willingly gave up all his information and the assailants got away with over 40K RMB. The victim was tied and gagged but was able to make enough noise after the assailants left to be released by hotel security. This victim has been to CP many times and speaks fluent Putonghua but he was unlucky that he went to a fake BBS and to be honest if you are not familiar with the regular BBSs in town and just plain unlucky, you could be a victim of the same circumstance.

CP incident 3.

One of my customer was walking back to the hotel with 6 of his friends with WGs in toll after partying at the Mayflower and suddenly a guy ran up behind him and snatch a gold chain from his neck. It happened so fast my customer didn't know what hit him. The guy ran up to a motorcycle and sped away. These kind of things happen to WGs all the time where you hear that their purse, jewelry, and phone get snatched right out of hand and even gets robbed at knife point but these kind of things do happens to guys as well. The best thing to do when you are in CP is not to have too much on you. I don't wear a watch or have any jewelry of any kind. With the advice of SEAJ, I have a seamstress in town to put zippers in the front of my pant pockets where I keep my phone and wallet. There is no need bringing your passport while you are out of your hotel room, at most, just make a copy to bring along in case you need it. No need bringing your credit cards or atm cards with you if you don't intend to make any big purchases. Just bring cash and your phone and keep it in your front pockets. Be low key and don't flash your cash around and you should be fine.

Guangzhou incident.

The following incident happened yesterday to another customer of mine while he was en route to CP from Guangzhou. He and 3 other people were getting into a cab with their belongings (clothes, computers, cash, and their travel documents) and was taken away by the taxi driver. Apparently it was a fake taxi and there are many of them in China and it is hard to tell if the vehicles are real or fake if you are not familiar with them. They spend the whole day at the police station and the incident happend right next to the police station where they had cameras but even after reviewing the tapes, the police were not able to find the vehicle. Now, all four of them has to deal with the hassle of getting their documents reissue and for those that has never done that while traveling don't know what kind of hassle you need to endure to get things back in order. I can recall many times that I have put luggage or shopping bags in the trunk of a taxi and it would have been very easy for the driver to take off while I exit the vehicle to retrieve my belongings. Please be extra careful while encountering this situation in the future. It is best that you ask the driver to assist you with your bags so that he is outside the vehicle the same time you are so that you can avoid this situation in the future.

China is full of scams and even to the seasoned travelers coming here to work or play, please be extra careful. Don't go anywhere you are not familiar with and never tell people that you are traveling alone.

I have been a bad boy in not posting about my last positive experience with the BSD KTV outings (then two nights, Fu Hao and Mayflower) , so I thought I'd dash off a report as I cool my heels waiting to check out of the CP Peninsula, and back to HK.

And Dave's report on the scams is indeed sobering; I'll be extra vigilant on the way out.

Short of it is that Dave continues to be the master host, and is great for those of us who do not speak functional Chinese at helping arrange a general understanding of expectations between two parties (just how LT is LT, etc.) Having said that, Dave draws the line at asking the girl whether she does blowjobs LOL. The rooms are spacious relative to what you'll get in HK, comparative to Macau but at a third of the cost, easily. And the restaurant on the second floor isn't too bad.

After eating lunch at a hotpot joint along the bad-boy strip that features the Clipper, I head back and see the BBS mamasan (quite nice, but I have been rebuffed in my efforts to rent her. "no, no, I mommie!") who set me up with a nice girl on the last trip. I follow her to an alley (perpendicular to the street with the Clipper). I believe she led me to a large room with neon lights. Yi Hao is quickly becoming, if not already one of the two or three most popular KTV's in this fine town.

Went to a BSD party there on Friday and it was an all around good night.

Choose two gals, one of which I had been in the room with before, but she wasn't my girl then. The other as it turns out was on her very first night EVER in KTV.

Met a number of new guys as well as a few "regulars" like HK Steve and Albert. In the end we had about 8 guys in the room and a bunch of girls. It was one of those nights that everyone seemed to pick well from the SOP. (Sea of Pussy) aka Flower Street.

This to me was more than one lesson learned. One of the reasons to use BSD is for moments just like this, you just have to be a little patient and let him do what he does best. Take care of his clients. The other lesson is that with the amount of business he brings in the managers of these places take his calls and complaints seriously, he has a lot of "street cred".

Lucky, Hui Mei Virgin, Miraton etc. There's even a stop right after the Hui Hua before it heads off to Tesco.

And I say it is quite delightful as riding along in the buses, there is usually a few gals, mommies, etc with whom it is very easy to strike up a conversation with.

The return trip to the train station follows the same route FYI.

So if you're like me, totally fed up with the taxis in CP and you've got an extra 5 or 10 minutes to spare, try taking the bus the next time you're here!

Even with the cards from the Hotels / KTVs with names in Chinese, there are problems with the cabdrivers. It is hard not to conclude that they are illiterate.I've been to a few cities in the USA that the cab drivers were illiterate as well. It is a job you don't need to read for if you know your way around. Alot of smaller roads in China aren't marked and my drivers constantly will stop and ask locals for directions which are like go 2 streets, then right 4 streets then left 2 streets. No road names which is why Chinese GPS systems aren't that good. Alot of roads are spelled multiple ways or have multiple names.

Was in CP and found a few saunas do not take walk in customers anymore. One of them is Mei Bao. Went up stairs to pool table at Mei Bao sauna and was asked if I have booking, I said no, then was told today not open, I had to call some travel agent number in the Lucky Hotel which I happened to have, and made a booking through them, then some boy came to pool table to lead the way in.

I agree with you that has happened a few times in house, where a gal changes "classification" for no apparent reason. I suspect, though I don't know that they wind up making less money unless they truly deserve the "move up". If they are marginal quality for the extra money, I doubt they get sat often and taken out less. The up side is there is new talent coming into town every day. The unfortunate fact is that prices are going up and the service quality is not following. I will admit that I tend to be much more "critical" about taking a girl out at 700 even for short time than I was at 500. The split between sitting fee and take out now means she is competing with a good sauna girl for my "fun money" whereas before it wasn't a big enough split to really care as long as I got serviced.

The undisputed and most popular CP KTV currently. Girl strength is about 95. About 500-700 girls. Flower street is packed to the brim on the 3rd and 4th floor daily. Finally giving Eurasia (Ou Ya) KTV a run for its money. It's really cutting into Eurasia (Ou Ya) KTV's share of the pie. Eurasia (Ou Ya) KTV is indeed feeling the summer heat.

Thumbs up to the KTV boss for implementing lots of service upgrading measures because they listen to customer feedback.

1) Mummys are not allowed to hustle the customer along the path ways on the flower street. ¥100 fine per offence.

2) The mobile phone of hostesses are surrendered to the DJ for safe keeping and are locked up in a transparent plastic box attached onto the wall in the KTV room.

3) Hostesses are not allowed to change their working tags before 9pm.

4) Hostesses are to ask permission from the customer if they're to leave the room for a while.

5) All complaints are taken seriously and will be investigated to protect customer's welfare.

6) KTV boss even educated the entire company not to show disrespect to the travel agents / tour guides who bring business to the KTV. In many other KTVs travel agents / tour guides are considered "non-customers" so those KTV staff / mummys usually don't cooperate with them to protect customer's welfare.

There isn't any reason dooming SEAJ for this idea and information. I love it, even I don't use a bus all the time. Sometimes I just want to be driven in an s-class from HK to SZ or CP. But this is for my private enjoyment.I live in CP so I take those ¥2 buses very often. Although it can be uncomfortable as sometimes it can be quite crowded. But it beats haggling the price with the taxi drivers who refuse to turn on the meters.

I hate getting ripped by those stupid taxi drivers, and I wouldn't dare get in one of those mini-vans alone. Riding the buses gives you a feel for the locals, eavesdropping on their conversations, and gives you the opportunity to check out the city. At the train station where all those bus-boarding islands are, there's usually a helpful guy who works for the bus agency who tells you which one to get on for your destination.

Now I'm wondering, how would a conversation go on a bus with a mommie? Or with a BBS, KTV or sauna girl, especially if you've done her in the past?

Right on, SEAJ. I take the buses whenever possible in CP, as well as anywhere in China. I hate getting ripped by those stupid taxi drivers, and I wouldn't dare get in one of those mini-vans alone. ?I have quite often taken vans and fake cabs (personal cars) , a number of times when a regular car isn't convenient, however I do know my way around CP so know if they are going the wrong way and perhaps wouldn't do it with alot of luggage. I usually engage the driver in conversation, but now I'll look to be a bit more careful. One time I was in a car with dual exhausts, fancy radio and basically a drift type car, the guy was charging 30 or 40! To go to train during a holiday where I could not find a taxi anywhere, it was 40C and I walked from Clipper to the Hospital before finding any car.

I think it certainly isn't that safe if you don't know where you are going. If you do at least you know if you are off course. But hearing this recent 'scam' we should all be more careful. Seems the thieves are getting more creative, a fake BBS, diverting vans, .

I have quite often taken vans and fake cabs (personal cars) , a number of times when a regular car isn't convenient, however I do know my way around CP so know if they are going the wrong way and perhaps wouldn't do it with alot of luggage. I usually engage the driver in conversation, but now I'll look to be a bit more careful. One time I was in a car with dual exhausts, fancy radio and basically a drift type car, the guy was charging 30 or 40! To go to train during a holiday where I could not find a taxi anywhere, it was 40C and I walked from Clipper to the Hospital before finding any car.

I think it certainly isn't that safe if you don't know where you are going. If you do at least you know if you are off course. But hearing this recent 'scam' we should all be more careful. Seems the thieves are getting more creative, a fake BBS, diverting vans, . A question.

Realisticially, even if you DO know your directions. What are you REALLY going to be able to do or actually do if he drives you. Wherever?

Dongguan police for the first time admitted they're "under pressure" dealing with some "unstable persons" who are driven to the city from Shenzhen, Guangzhou Daily reported Wednesday.

In response to recent complaints over the worsening security situation in the central southern city in Guangdong province, Dongguan police officers said they're "under pressure" to cope with the "special situation".

Ahead of the opening of Shenzhen's World 26th Summer Universiade, Shenzhen police bureau executed a campaign in April, ejecting about 80, 000 "potentially unstable people" in a bid to secure social stability.

The way to do it contact the hotel 15 min before you arrive at the stations have them send a hotel van to pick you up,

Many time they told me they already have a van waiting for customer at the train station already, many hotel have courtesy van even the small motel like Hua yu have one and is cost 150 rmb a night there but they only have one van while the New century have 3 van, if you want the van to take you to swan lake area just call front desk from your room and van will be waiting for you.

After soooo many years of being hassled and harried by the CP Taxi pirates, I finally decided to follow Santa's tip and took the bus from the tain station. And since then, I've found it very convenient and quite a delight to take.

Take the Numbers 1 or 2 buses from the stand CLOSEST to Mcdonald's (not the further away ones. Those goes the other direction,) put in your RMB2 into the fare box and you're set. The route takes you through Mulun, Yalan (where you should get off to go to Yalan / Swan Lake Road area,) on to HuaRen shopping centre and then the Lion Hotels and the other hotels on the main strip. Lucky, Hui Mei Virgin, Miraton etc. There's even a stop right after the Hui Hua before it heads off to Tesco.

And I say it is quite delightful as riding along in the buses, there is usually a few gals, mommies, etc with whom it is very easy to strike up a conversation with.

The return trip to the train station follows the same route FYI.

So if you're like me, totally fed up with the taxis in CP and you've got an extra 5 or 10 minutes to spare, try taking the bus the next time you're here!

Anyway, got 1 blk away and he asked for 25 rmb. I told him no. 15 was the price. He stopped the cab, and a small argument ensued. I indicated that he could accept what we agreed upon or get nothing. Friday night I went to FuHao with HK Steve, Leo, Gentleman Jim and a couple of FNG's (f*kin new guys).)

A really good group of guys, and everyone seemed to pick well. I wound sending my first lady back into the pond, after BSD kindly reminded my that she was a lousy fuck. Any advice on which part of dongguan to go? First time to dongguan. Read a dozen or so pages and have a pretty good idea about buses and taxis and HK airport for some reason, but still not entirely sure where the action I seek can be found.

Arrived HKIA and after clearing immigration and customs, followed the signs to transport connection to Mainland China which is located in the lower level of terminal 2. Chose Eternal East Tours minivan to the Miraton Hotel in CP. 220 $HK. They are an authorized cross-border service provider of HKIA, so all you need to do is complete a China arrive card give it with your passport to the diver. After crossing the border, you change vans to CP and 2 hrs and 20 mins after leaving the airport you are in the lobby of the Miraton Hotel. Checked into the Miraton because I didn't want to wander around looking for hotels. 448 RMB.

The purpose of coming to CP was to attend a KTV party and to see flower street. Called BSD asked if he could accommodate me in one of his parties. Nothing that night, but would add me the next night. He then suggested we meet in the lobby and we could have dinner. Met Dave and Sky Ryder, when across the street to PZL and had fruit, drinks, clay pot chicken and rice and a great 2 hrs footie and massage. Can't remember, but I think the cost was around 165.

Dave wanted to know the kinds of girls I liked, so over to the Hui Hua Hotel sauna which is next to the Miraton. I guess I could have made the following reports in the "Living in China" thread but the incidents that I am reporting did happen in CP and Guangzhou respectively and with all the brothers coming to CP and Guangzhou, I hope that you will be extra careful when encoutering the following situations:

CP Incident 1:

My driver XC told me to avoid riding in the "bread" cars if you are not familiar with the driver. There are quite a many of them crusing around CP picking up customers and in most part they are safe but never get into one alone if you don't know the driver. The scams that are being reported is that when a lone passenger rides in one of these vehicles, the driver is in communication with his accomplices and when he stops at a traffic light or he takes the passenger through dark secluded alleys, his accomplices (upwards of two guys or more) would board the vehicle and kidnap the passenger. The passenger's personal belongings (money, jewelry, watch) would be taken as well as his things in his hotel room and safe. Additionally, they will withdraw money from his ATM and / or credit cards. They will beat the victim until he gives up all his information and have taken the maximum amount of money before letting him go. One case reported that the victim lost over 50K RMB and was in the hospital for a few days for his injuries.

CP Incident 2:

One of the Hui Mei mommy told me the other day that a patron at the Hui Mei hotel was robbed and beaten inside the hotel by accomplices of a WG working in a fake BBS in the Hui Mei area. The patron came from Malaysia and was mongering in CP alone. He apparently went to a shop that was just a front for unsuspecting / uninformed customers. When he was showering, the girl let 4 guys with weapons (pipes and knives) into the room to rob the guy and threaten to beat him up if he didn't open the safe and give up his PIN number (s) to his ATM / credit card (s). Since the guy did not want to be beaten up, he willingly gave up all his information and the assailants got away with over 40K RMB. The victim was tied and gagged but was able to make enough noise after the assailants left to be released by hotel security. This victim has been to CP many times and speaks fluent Putonghua but he was unlucky that he went to a fake BBS and to be honest if you are not familiar with the regular BBSs in town and just plain unlucky, you could be a victim of the same circumstance.

CP incident 3.

One of my customer was walking back to the hotel with 6 of his friends with WGs in toll after partying at the Mayflower and suddenly a guy ran up behind him and snatch a gold chain from his neck. It happened so fast my customer didn't know what hit him. The guy ran up to a motorcycle and sped away. These kind of things happen to WGs all the time where you hear that their purse, jewelry, and phone get snatched right out of hand and even gets robbed at knife point but these kind of things do happens to guys as well. The best thing to do when you are in CP is not to have too much on you. I don't wear a watch or have any jewelry of any kind. With the advice of SEAJ, I have a seamstress in town to put zippers in the front of my pant pockets where I keep my phone and wallet. There is no need bringing your passport while you are out of your hotel room, at most, just make a copy to bring along in case you need it. No need bringing your credit cards or atm cards with you if you don't intend to make any big purchases. Just bring cash and your phone and keep it in your front pockets. Be low key and don't flash your cash around and you should be fine.

Guangzhou incident.

The following incident happened yesterday to another customer of mine while he was en route to CP from Guangzhou. He and 3 other people were getting into a cab with their belongings (clothes, computers, cash, and their travel documents) and was taken away by the taxi driver. Apparently it was a fake taxi and there are many of them in China and it is hard to tell if the vehicles are real or fake if you are not familiar with them. They spend the whole day at the police station and the incident happend right next to the police station where they had cameras but even after reviewing the tapes, the police were not able to find the vehicle. Now, all four of them has to deal with the hassle of getting their documents reissue and for those that has never done that while traveling don't know what kind of hassle you need to endure to get things back in order. I can recall many times that I have put luggage or shopping bags in the trunk of a taxi and it would have been very easy for the driver to take off while I exit the vehicle to retrieve my belongings. Please be extra careful while encountering this situation in the future. It is best that you ask the driver to assist you with your bags so that he is outside the vehicle the same time you are so that you can avoid this situation in the future.

China is full of scams and even to the seasoned travelers coming here to work or play, please be extra careful. Don't go anywhere you are not familiar with and never tell people that you are traveling alone.

The Gladden Hotel is probably the most exclusive hotel in the town of ShiLong. It also features a KTV and a FS "Sauna".

When you enter the hotel from the main entrance walk to the left. There's a corridor heading to the KTV. You will see the chearfully dressed galls from the KTV waving over to you. In this corridor there's a few public phones. When reaching the phones (about half way the corridor) turn right: you will see an elevator. Enter the elevator and head to the 3rd floor. If you came to the KTV you went to far. When you leave the elevator you will be greeted by the manager and brought to a large hotel room. Sit down and the line up will be brought in.

The Gladden hotel has a special way of operating when I was there. They will bring in the girls by price range. Each girl has a different price tag. My first line-up was 3 girls for 400 each. When I declined they brought in 4 girls for 500 each, then 2 girls for 600 each, then a trainer girl for 700 and finally two top-models for 800 each. I picked a 600 girl.

i ride the mtr train 2 month ago from zhu hai to shunde is a nice ride, but until the high speed train open and the gonbei station open next yr then that is a good option to take the train to guangzhou is only one hr, the current train is too slow and too many stop and the north zhu hai station is too far from gonbei even the fast train open the bus is still the best option to cp from zhu hai.

Stayed at yi hao hotel. 278 rmb for a non smoking 16th floor room. Went to Li hao for KTV&65292; room charge for 7 guys + 6 gordon gin bottles + tonic for 2400. I've been reading through this forum one page at a time (starting from about 50 pages back) , and I'm probably going to have a lot of questions even after I get up to date. As of right now, however, I have one important matter to consider before I begin planning out my trip to Dongguan / Changping.

From what I've heard and read, Changping is basically heaven on earth for mongerers. Unfortunately, one of my friends is currently working in Dongguan and doesn't want to leave his apartment for the new experience. The majority of the posts in this thread have been dedicated to the BBSs and KTVs in Changping, and I have not been able to acquire much information about Dongguan, which is where he wants to try mongering.

So, my question is. Does Dongguan offer a similar experience to Changping? Or should I try harder to convince my friend to come to Changping with me because it is just THAT much better?

And if we do end up heading over to Dongguan. Can BSDave help us out? I realize that he's no stranger to Changping, but Dongguan could be out of his area of expertise.

BTW, I'll probably be coming through for two or three days in a week or two (very soon!). Hopefully I'll have paid the subscription fee by then (trying to locate access to a Visa / Mastercard, as I have no funds in the USA right now) so that we can meet some ISGers and share a few nights filled with harmless depravity.

If anyone is going to be in CP from the 10th to the 13th, I'm looking forward to possibly meeting you. I'm a super newbie with minor experience in various other cities, so I'd like to observe and learn from more experienced mongers. It should be an exciting and beneficial experience.

I don't think you need to "observe and learn", more like "jump in and enjoy the ride". I am sure that BSD will offer guidance and some suggestions if you ask him. The one piece of advice I would give you is to realize that IMHO in CP is not a "spectator sport", but a participating activity, at least as far as the KTV action goes.

Try to learn some of the games and don't be afraid to make a mistake, most of the time the girls and other guys are eager to help.

The one place I have seen that most guys who are new to the scene err (myself included) is in the choosing of girls. Many guys like to look, look, look, then try to decide on the "perfect girl", you need to remember that there are a lot of other guys looking for the same thing! If you wait to until you see everyone of the girls on flower street, most likely the "one" won't be there when you return. My one suggestion would be to take advantage of the "ten minute" rule. If you see a girl you like, take her and keep looking for another one, I think two is a good number to sit. If you find something you like a lot better than the one you have, you can let one go back as long as it hasn't been more than ten minutes. This is especially true for the higher end girls, models, etc. They get taken quickly in my experience.

Don't be afraid to ask questions about "the rules", etc. And take the advice of BSD, and the "experienced" guys when it comes to things like tips, or letting the girls order food, buy stuffed animals and the like. These guys have seen it all, and know most of the scams the girls run, you can't blame them, they are trying to make as much money per night as they can!

BSD especially has seen a lot of the girls in the room and has gotten feedback about how the act afterwards, so if he tells you that one of the girls is a lot of fun, it is a pretty good bet she will be. On the other hand, if he says she is lousy, no matter how cute she is, chances are he knows. Not to say you shouldn't take her if you want, but you might want to temper your expectations.

I wish I was going to be in town, but alas I will be in "sex prison" for a while longer. I hope you enjoy your visit, and don't forget the "golden rule"! You really should take the time to report back to the forum. No fair, asking for info and then not making a contribution later!

Royal Garden hotel at Dalang town about 30 min taxi from Changping one of the largest and nicest hotel in Dongguan, there are a KTV and sauna inside the hotel but the sauna have been going down hill since it open about 7 yr ago, I am not in China still back in the US but I am sure someone will PM you.

I was really looking forward to meeting ISGers and getting crazy for a few nights.

Consolation: I might have time to come through mid-August. I'll be done with HK / Macau by then (hopefully) , and will probably want to enjoy CP one last time before I head back to Beijing (and then the States).
