I believe there are 6 of them near Beach Road and they are all in noisy areas.
Just read this thread to find what you're looking for. There is one quiet soi with some nice hotels that is mentioned quite often here.
It seems to me you're asking a lot of questions without reading the forum first. And that's what a forum like this is meant for after all.Mogwai.

I did browse through few pages but could not find any thing in particular close to beach road. I don't want to wander off too far as I really love the joy of bringing in fresh meat from beach road and go back at it again within 2 hours if need be LOL.

I am not sure which quite Soi you mentioned, if you can, please do let me know. I hope to add my two cents by a report within 3/4 weeks.

Hello,

Still kind of new to this I booked a stay at Mr Macs hotel is it girl friendly, I also hear that when booking I should book for two instead of one person? Can someone clarify this for me please.

Thanks!

Thanks!Does anyone ever read past the first posting when asking a question? This same thread is going on in the BKK hotel forum.

Book for two. Do not book for one.

Thanks! You booked a stay at Mr Macs hotel and now you're asking if it's girl friendly and if you should have booked for two instead of one. I know you're new, but wouldn't it make more sense to ask or research these questions BEFORE you book a room.

The questions that you've asked have been asked and answered numerous times on this forum. Most "senior" ISG members are more than willing to share their experience, knowledge, and advice, but you've got to make an effort to do some basic research. Reading the ISG forum or using its search function and / or an internet search would have answered your basic questions.

Your questions remind me of me when I was in elementary school. I'd have a question that I needed an answer or how to spell a word. I'd ask my father for the answer. He'd point to the expensive World Book Encyclopedia or the dictionary and say "don't be lazy, look it up yourself. "

Instead of the encyclopedia or the dictionary, there's that new contraption called a computer keyboard and internet search.

Soi 13, with hotels like Dynasty Inn, Sandy Spring, Whitehouse Condotel and the Inn of the Golden Crab.
Looking forward to your reports!I had only two nights in Pattaya so decided to stay in Sunshine resort on Soi 8. Stay was better then earlier times as this was during low season. Hotel had almost 90% Indians in it with just a handful or Russians and Germans. It used be dominated by Russians earlier. The rooms were cleaned everyday, overall stay was pleasant but hotel does not have bidet and there is no in room ironing board etc. They charge for extra towels! Checked out the Whitehouse hotel on Soi 13, I will definitely stay here next time.

Just a heads up that the construction on the lot next to View Talay 6 (Walking Street side of course) is in full swing. Non-stop noise from 8 am until 6 pm. I am on the top floor and can hear the machinery cranking away. If you like to hang by the pool during the day it will be a bit noisy to say the least.

About a year back someone posted a link to a two bedroom condo that had a hot tub on the balcony. Can't find the link or the condo anywhere. Does anyone know of a good two bedroom and two bath condo that's available to rent for 2 weeks or so?

About a year back someone posted a link to a two bedroom condo that had a hot tub on the balcony. Can't find the link or the condo anywhere. Does anyone know of a good two bedroom and two bath condo that's available to rent for 2 weeks or so?That might have been me only I had a reservation at View Talay 6 for apartment #18-659, a huge 90sq meter one bedroom party palace condo with a Jacuzzi on the balcony. Unfortunately construction has just begun on a luxury high rise building next door and I cancelled my reservation.

Aware of the problem, Dance Watchers has included this notification on their website concerning this rental, "Special Sound Proofing was installed at the time this room was built. The walls and ceiling have special thick rubber installed for sound proffing and the balcony glass is double pane to keep the noise out. " But despite this assurance, I felt that ongoing pile driving construction next door would hamper my pool time afternoons and possibly wake me far too early in the morning. I know I would have had a great time at 18-659 otherwise and I was really looking forward to my stay there. Oh well! I took a gamble the construction next door would not begin until after the rainy season 2015 and I lost. So instead I am now booked at the Areca Lodge in an Evergreen super deluxe room for considerably less money. I plan to make the most of the situation, however, by spending some time checking out the LK Metro Go Go's in depth which is something I have not done before.

Here is a link to Dancewatchers in case you are interested. Apartment 18-659 is now available in late September due to my cancellation.

Will the new high rise ruin the ocean view of 18-659? I've always wondered what happens if you buy an ocean view unit and a new building destroys the view and makes your condo useless?

Will the new high rise ruin the ocean view of 18-659? I've always wondered what happens if you buy an ocean view unit and a new building destroys the view and makes your condo useless?Phase One includes the construction of the 15 story Cape Hotel in the front near Beach Road and the 28 Story Kantary Hotel towards the back of the property near 2nd Road. The project will also include restaurants and shops next to the beach. Anybody who bought a VT 6 condominium must have been aware that at some point development of the adjacent vacant property would occur and that due to the narrow and deep lay out of the lot, it would mean the views for some if not all floors would be affected. #18-659 is towards the front of VT6 facing South so its view of Pattaya Bay will be affected, but will not be totally obscured by the 15 story Cape Hotel. I would bet that after the construction is completed all property values go up because the neighborhood will be very high end with the Hilton and Central Festival Mall to the north and the new hotels to the south.

Personally I prefer old Pattaya circa the 70's and 80's before all the high rise construction began. It was much more my kind of town. But that's progress! If you agree with me you should check out Subic (Barrio Barretto & Baloy Beach).

I found a great deal for Pattaya Marriot Resort & Spa. Based on my research on former threads from few years ago or higher it seems like there is no joiner fee. A friend of mine though thinks there is for some reason, so hoping to get anyone here who's been recently or know people recently going there that can confirm on this hotel.

SL.Ask for a garden room, ground floor. You enter from Beach Rd, see one security guard as you enter & never go by the front desk. No issues.

Stayed 3 or 4 times per year for last 3 years. Including most recently in June this year. So in probably +50 occasions of returning with a companion, possibly 2-3 times have they had to deposit ID. The rest no ID was required. Joiner fee never. As mentioned by other member you can enter by Beach Road where one very uninterested security guy sits. Better still can enter from 2nd Road and take the stairs by the Irish Pub adjoined to the hotel on the right. There is zero security there and if you are not on the ground floor in a garden room can take 1 flight of stairs and then take the lift from there as the ground / lobby level is always quite busy with staff. But like I say none of this is necessary.

I might also add this is an excellent hotel from top to bottom. I have never stayed anyway where else in Pattaya so cannot compare at all but never felt I needed to. And when I have had a brush with staff whilst with a companion, she has been treated genuinely like my wife of the day!

Observation: When the hotel takes a joiners ID it is really a security measure for both of you and not necessarily a bad thing. You can have them call the room before giving her back her ID to make sure you are ok. Security can check the ID to see if it is legit and if she is of legal age, as a BR freelancer unwilling to produce ID is a red flag and a no go for me. And it is a form of security for the ladies too knowing the hotel is aware they are visiting.

Ultimately I view it as more of a service than it is a hinderance but as always YMMV.

I agree with Sunlover2. I'm always mystified and perplexed by guys who want to know how to avoid checking their TG ID with hotel security. You're NOT a 16-year-old trying to sneak a girl into your parent's house. You're an adult so act like one.

The only reasons that I can think to avoid checking your TG ID with hotel security is if she's uglier than sin and you're too embarrassed to be seen with her; she's a minor and/or illegally in Thailand; she's wanted by the police; or you intend to do some harm to her and you don't want anyone to know. If these are your reasons, you've got more to worry about than avoiding hotel security.

If a hotel didn't have security precaution, I don't know if that's a hotel that I would want to stay at. Do you really want to stay at a hotel where non-guests can enter and roam around the property (and possibly your room) with impunity?

When the hotel has the girl's ID and doesn't return it to her until they have your consent, it certainly reduces the chance that the girl has drugged you or robbed you. It also protects the hotel. They certainly have the right to know who is on their premises.

Since cancelling my reservation at VT 6, I began checking out Marriott as a possible substitute. I have stayed there on a number of trips and always had a good time. The fantastic pool / garden area and the private Beach Road entrance are the two main things I like about this hotel. The deluxe rooms are 4* quality and easily duplicated eslewhere. I am a Marriott Club member and have their Chase Visa card so staying at Marriott has its perks like 5 times points rewards, a free annual night's room voucher, and free automatic room upgrades. One time while staying at the Marriot Pattaya, I met the manager and he upgraded me to a garden executive suite ($180/ night room) gratis. The garden executive suite WAS 5 * all the way.

Getting back to my original point, I was looking for a substitute room and I found great variability in price on the Marriott Web site on an almost weekly basis during the month of July and August while I was still looking at a late September booking (so starting the search 2.5 months in advance). The lowest price for a entry level room (remember I receive free automatic room upgrades as club member) was 2730 bt or approximately $81/night in early July for a late September booking. The highest price for that late September booking is now available on the website quoted for 3950 bt/night.

I chose to book an Areca Lodge super deluxe Evergreen room for $51/ night with breakfast instead as I was looking to economize a little after I forfeited my deposit with Dream Watchers on the VT 6 1 bedroom condo due to the commencement of the construction project next door. The Marriott is definitely a finer hotel than the Areca, but it is not all black and white. The Areca has a few things going for it in addition to it's lesser cost like proximity to LK Metro, good room size, and a decent pool, ect. In any case I am sure I will enjoy the Areca just as I am sure I would have enjoyed the Marriott. If you decide to go with Marriott look for that $81/night low SUMMER price about 2.5 months out from when you intend to visit. Even $92/night is a good deal for the Marriott in the off season. You will not see anything close to this price in the high season. The lowest price I ever booked the Marriot Pat in high season was $102/night and that was a real deal booked 6 months is advance.

I chose to book an Areca Lodge super deluxe Evergreen room for $51/ night with breakfast instead Natty, USD 51 is that with the ACE club discount? I just booked 10 days, but I could only get this rate as non-refundable. So I used booking.com instead and got a no-cancellation fee rate of USD 60. I wonder if they will offer the ACE club discount when I arrive.

My other options were narrowed down to:

A) HolidayInn at Soi 1, I got their confirmation of no joiner fee. But they couldn't confirm that I will get a free room upgrade although I'm IHG Spire. I plan to spend some time with a girl who works at soi 1, and also still have to find a doable Beach Road FL, so an upper sea view room in their new tower would be great, but without upgrade the price is not sustainable for me.

B) I asked another girl I'll meet what was her suggestion, and she immediately sent me a link to LK Royal Suite (north end of soi Buakhao). They got some huge (80 sqm) jacuzzi rooms. But mixed reviews, and a bit away from LK metro.

I wasn't impressed by my last stay at Areca Lodge, hope improvements have been made, and this time I will be prepared to let them know that I will not accept if staff aren't polite with the girls I register at the Evergreen front office.

As you also said, their location proximity of LK metro is great. This is my third stay in Pattaya, and I haven't been in Walking street yet, I doubt it's going to happen this time too!

If you book through an agency such as booking.com or agoda they have to pay a large commission, so they don't offer a discount if you haven't booked directly with them.

SL.SL, I apologize, I didn't see your question earlier. I don't come on to the site that often and probably missed coming back to this thread at the same time. Just to let you know, I tried to book it. Multiple online travel agents like Expedia and TripAdvisor had prices around $50 US Dollars a night. When I actually went to book the room and pay, they all said that price was no longer good anymore. Even if I came back on again the price was still being quoted the same but couldn't book it for that. Maybe it was very specific to some certain dates.

Also in regards to the ID check, I didn't ask for ways to bypass ID checks just to be clear. I thanked the people though for giving the different options though of entering. Personally for me, if the hotel asks for it that's fine for me. I also have been pretty good about who I've picked to come with me.

Just a general question about getting to 2nd road from the evergreen suites building. It looks like the evergreen is directly behind the Avenue mall, I should be able to cut thru the mall during the day. But I was curious if there was any shortcuts when the mall closes at 11 pm? Anyway I can get to the soi 14 alley or walk around the side of the mall without having to walk down to soi 13?

Fast eddie 48.I have no issue with having the front desk of any hotel take a girls ID. But what if she's of legal age but doesn't have a legal ID? Will the Marriott give you the option to take her to your room or refuse to allow her past reception? I've stayed at the Sunshine hotel and the front desk girl told me it was up to me, which was fine by me. I took her to my room twice and had a blast both times. I've also stayed at the Greenview on walking street and knew the girl didn't have ID (was told by the gogo mamasan) but took her up to my room anyway, making sure the girl stayed on the other side of me as I waved to the front desk person.

Has anyone ever had a hotel refuse entry to a girl without ID?

I case of no ID, I won't take her to my room and I make sure to ask before I barfine her.She won't have legal ID if she's in the country illegally. I'll post a photo of the girl, you guys can guess her age (she said she was 25). Again, I'll point out that the ID question is always asked. One case though the girl said 'yes she had ID' but at the hotel pulled out a photocopy of an ID that wasn't accepted. So you buy the girl a few drinks, bar fine her and out comes a photocopy. What are the options if the girl looks of age but doesn't have proper ID?

If I know the girl on my arm is definitely of age, I would like to know if a hotel gave me the option of taking her up to my room 'at my own risk'. I've only stayed in two hotels in Pattaya so far, the Sunshine hotel is definitely a hotel where the front desk can be bypassed. Some of these gogo barfines are pretty steep, i'd hate to get all the way back to a hotel on the other side of the strip only to find out she doesn't have an ID. Imagine paying a 1000 baht barfine on a girl who's clearly of age but who doesn't have her ID and the hotel refuses to let her pass the front desk. Again I ask, do you ask each girl to show her ID before you barfine her? Or do you just spend the extra for a short time hotel room?

Im staying at the Areca lodge next trip, anyone know what their policy is if the girl doesn't have ID?

Some of these gogo barfines are pretty steep, i'd hate to get all the way back to a hotel on the other side of the strip only to find out she doesn't have an ID. Imagine paying a 1000 baht barfine on a girl who's clearly of age but who doesn't have her ID and the hotel refuses to let her pass the front desk. Again I ask, do you ask each girl to show her ID before you barfine her? Or do you just spend the extra for a short time hotel room?

Im staying at the Areca lodge next trip, anyone know what their policy is if the girl doesn't have ID?When I checked in at Areca (Evergreen) last time, the front office were quite strict on their instructions to me that girls must be registered. I don't know the answer to your question, but my guess is that they will refuse to let her in without a valid ID. The front office is often manned by at least 2-3 staff personnel, so it's probably not easy to "convince" them to see through their policy.

When I looked for an FL on Beach Road one day around lunchtime, the only one I met that I found doable was from Indonesia, so I passed on her for that same reason.

But you have actually BF'ed girls with no valid ID from gogo's. I'd expect that the club can get into serious trouble by employing girls without an ID, and if I experienced what you refer to, I would definitely take her back and ask the gogo for a refund, and I'd reckon that a lot of other guests would do the same, meaning a lot of constant trouble for the club. So I'm a little confused to what the chances are for BF a girl in a gogo without a valid ID.

So I'm a little confused to what the chances are for BF a girl in a gogo without a valid ID.How many bars are there in Pattaya? A thousand? Two thousand? There are girls available at every one of those bars, there's a good chance you'll run into a girl without ID. Are you drawn to a certain girl at a gogo and the mamasan push's the upstairs hotel? She probably doesn't have ID. I picked up a hottie from a gogo on walking street last trip, she was from Laos and had no ID. So its bound to happen.

As to the girl in the photo I posted, I got to thinking and I bet the front desk of the sunshine hotel said "up to you" was because they knew the girl was Thai and was definitely of age.

How many bars are there in Pattaya? A thousand? Two thousand? That's actually a very interesting question.

Let's try to make an educated guess: Soi 6 has about 60 bars and Soi 6 is really the ACME of bar-streets in Pattaya. One would be hard pressed to find another street in Pattaya with a similar number of bars.

Between Beach Road and Second Road from the North to Walking Street, there are about 30 soi. A quick check with Google Street view shows that the average soi has about 15 to 20 bars in it It is impossible to say they are all girly bars. Some of them may even be more restaurant than bar, some of them may cater to ladyboys or gays, but for the sake of making a rough Fermi estimate, let's keep it to 20 bars per soi.

That would give these sois a total number of bars of about 700, which is pretty impressive.

Then add the bars along beach road (3 km). To err on the large side, say there are 3 bars per 100 m, then that gives you, give'and'take, another 100 bars. Second Road is less "bar heavy" but has two sides, so we add 150 more.

Walking Street area doesn"t have that many bars (it is more agogo-land, disco and restaurants), but we'll be kind of them and allow 100 bars to be there.

What about the rest of Pattaya? You'll indeed find bars pretty much everywhere, but they get more and more rare once you cross Second Road, but we'll allow a generous 1/3th of the bars to be outside of the "core area".

Adding up everything: 700 (sois), 100 (Beach Road), 150 (Second Road) and 100 (Walking Street) = 1050 bars + 320 (rest of Pattaya) = 1370, say 1500 bars in Pattaya. This will be a high estimate.

Not bad for an area of less than 10 square km.

Can we estimate the number of bargirls from this?

Again looking at Soi 6 as a guiding light, most bars are pretty small. They may have about 10 girls available on the high average. A few are bigger, lots are smaller. As we are trying to establish a rough maximum here, that bring us to 15 thousand bargirls active at any one time. Taking into account that there will always be girls on vacation, day off, on their period or barfined already, stating that there are 20 to 25 thousand bargirls in Pattaya is not overly exaggerating things. The population of working girls in massage parlors and agogo clubs, the coconut-bar girls and the guild of free-lancers of less than professional stature could easily swell this number to 30 to 35 thousand girls busy at The Game.

So now anyone who complains that there are "not enough girls in Pattaya" can be referred to this post and rest assured.

It also make you realize that being a bar-owner in Pattaya is not the goose with the golden eggs.

From an economics point of view, say every bargirl (30000 bargirls only; we try to estimate a lower limit here) gets only one customer a day and charges him the modest fee of 1000 baht, Pattaya alone generates almost 11 billion baht per year in prostitution related income. Adding barfines, drinks, hotel costs and other sundry expenses, do you think I am exaggerating when I say that our hobby brings Pattaya close to 20 billion baht in income? All cheer for the mayor that wants to turn Pattaya into a family-oriented beach community!

Wolven, You must be an Engineer, and a damn good one. That was an excellent analysis!

In my line of work, I used to do these kind of analysis all the time. We called them "back of the envelope studies (or analyses)". We usually follow them with a more detailed study if the project is a go.

Nowadays I always ask them beforehand if they have an ID.

I will be in Pattaya in the next few months last time I stayed in Soi Diana area but noticed a hotel above the bar complex leading to the beer garden at entrance to Walking street if I remember there was an escalator and the hotel has rooms overlooking Pattaya bay. Anyone stayed here before? Or know name of hotel and room rates? Any help greatly appreciated.

Does this (or other) hotels care if a girl stays overnight? This will be my first time to Pattaya but have been to BKK many times. At the hotels in BKK they *may* ask for ID but never care how long she stays or even really notice. Is this a concern? At best they ask for ID but then don't seem to care enough to charge for a 2nd person. Is this the case?

I'm an infrequent, casual and budget traveler, considering a trip to Pattaya next April. I can pick my own hotel, between Agoda, Booking and TripAdvisor, I can find as much as I need to know. What I'm looking for is some help narrowing the field.

Ideally, I would like to stay in the 700-1000 baht range. However, a few people have complained about bed bugs in some of the low end places. Moving up to the 1500-2000 baht level is possible, it just means cutting a few days out.

Here are the things I need: a / see, wifi, comfortable double, preferably queen or king, bed, clean room, GF. A pool would be nice, but unlikely in the low range.

My overall budget for food and lodging is about $800 USD and I want to stay minimum of 8 days, up to 14 days. Assuming the exchange rate stays about the same, which is unlikely, I assume I can average $25 USD daily for food (I like a nice meal every few days, but usually am a budget eater). My entertainment budget is about $1000 USD. I don't need 2ST, a 3 some and LT every day. Probably I will average about one ST per day with a few massages and an LT tossed in.

I've RTFF, although I still have a lot more to read. I'm looking for opinions. Is it better to go with the cheaper hotel for a longer stay, or am I better off with a nicer hotel for a shorter stay? If it makes any difference I'm hoping to arrive the day before Songkran begins. I realize my budgets are a bit high. I'd rather have an extra cushion than cut myself short.

Just don't pay in advance or do one of those non-refundable booking deals. If after checking in you don't like the place just move on in a day or two. Check out the Lek Hotel as an example in your price range.

Your higher end budget is only $13-20 more a night. Why not go for that and play it safe? If you're planning to fly halfway across the planet, make sure not to go cheap. Yeah I get you're on a budget, but if you're seriously trying to justify spending $13-20 a night more for accommodations, maybe just go someplace closer? I had a blast the first time I went to Thailand and considering what I spent on the ticket to fly from the USA on a 24 hour flight (through Tokyo), I made sure I had the money allocated to have a good time and then some. The last thing you want to worry about is a few bucks a day. Thailand is fairly cheap for accommodations. I've been able to snag 4 and 5 star hotel rooms in Pattaya and Bangkok for $70-$100 a night. It's cheap. It's just my opinion but when you're traveling that great of a distance, you don't want to be trying to justify a few dollars here and there. It's a vacation, it's Thailand. Enjoy it man.

Probably I will average about one ST per day with a few massages and an LT tossed in..I would save more money, get a second job or delay the trip until you have more money. As Puntz alluded to you are flying literally halfway around the world to have such a tight budget would put some stress into what should be a dream trip for many. Thinking about an 8 day trip? That is really short.

Others have advised on a few hotel options that might fit your budget if your expectations are low you should be fine. But $1000 for entertainment will limit you. You are coming to the adult Disneyworld and already have the rides are not available to you. If you stayed 10 days that's $100 a day so roughly 3500 baht.

For 3500 baht you can have a ST from WS. Barfine 1000 girl 2000 your drink 150 lady drink 250 ish and you are done park closed for you. LT? That will easily be between 4000-5000 so that means take a LT sweet honey off WS and you way exceeded your budget so next day to recover financially. To meet your budget Soi 6 for about 1300ST total or a FL off beach road for 500-1000 will be your mainstays. Insomnia could be a good option if you aren't revolting to a 20 yr Thai girl, perhaps 2000 to girl and a few rounds of drinks 500-1000 and you are already reaching your budget limit.

My advice save an extra $500 and your options and opportunity to fully enjoy your vacation will be available. You don't have to be a big spender to have a great time here but you also don't want to limit yourself or be constantly baht.

There are several that look good, but haven't been reviewed here, like Admire House, April Suites, Katesiree Residence and Maytara Hotel. Of course, I'm just getting started looking. Plenty more things to consider, like what area to stay in. From what I've found so far, Soi 6 is probably the least appealing to me. I don't mind being a few blocks away from the action, but I don't want to be too far out.

That's where I usually stay when I come to Pattaya. It's location is really great, the pool is nice and it's a decent enough place IMHO, especially at around 1050-1150 baht per night.

I don't plan on booking anything until I am certain I can afford to enjoy myself. Part of the process is figuring how much I need to budget. On my trip to the DR, food / lodging / entertainment / transportation cost about $150/ day. It's looking like I can stay 12 days and still spend less than $800 for food / lodging / transportation. So, I should probably add $800 to my entertainment budget, take it to $1800. Ideally, I'd like to have $4 k to spend total. That's everything covered and a $500 cushion.

Eight days is a short vacation, with flights it's more like 11 days, but probably only 7 days where I can really enjoy myself. That would be the minimum for such a long trip.

Taking a second job isn't worth it, but I can, at least at the moment, put in enough extra time at work to easily cover the cost. I just need to keep to the budget.

Coming to Pattaya again November 14 for 5 nights. Wish I could stay longer, but I have to go to Phuket first for 3 nights, and I will spend the rest of my 3 weeks in the LOS with my lady friend in BKK and Chaing Mai.

Anyway, it seems the high season is starting, as some of my originally chosen hotels from last May are either full or is now full. I stayed last time at the Dynasty on Soi 13 and enjoyed my stay there. They are totally booked now. Last week when I checked they had some rooms. The Sandy Spring, a few doors down, had some rooms so I will stay there. From my research here, it is a recommended, girl friendly hotel, so we will see. If anyone things I am making an unwise suggestion, please advise. I did like the Soi 13 location and the quiet this street provides.

In Puket, I stayed at the see&and last time. Not the greatest, but super close to Bangla Rd. I appear to have gotten the last available room there. I would not have minded too terribly to have tried another place, but I am a creature of habit. I just need to remember to bring a magnet to defeat that ridiculous A / see system. Well, seems all LOS hotels automatically turn off the A / see when you leave, but it was especially problematic with the see&and.

But for sure, the prices seem to be a bit higher and the selection getting slimmer as we approach the end of the year. Not sure I will like visiting during a busier time. Hope it means more higher quality girls. But, yeah, returning to the LOS!

I am off to Pattaya next year and was wondering if you can recomend any nice decent hotels close to or near walking street. This will be my first time in Pattaya so I want to be secure in knowing that I am going to enjoy my stay in a good clean and safe girl friendly hotel, I hope to go around either June or August of 2016, as yet I have still to sort my holidays out so I'm just at the planing stage. I would appreciate if you could tell me about some good hotels to look over. I see you like me enjoy Phuket, this is my ususal place to visit in the land of LOS, if you don't want to stay ant the see and and hotel I can recomend the Summer Breeze hotel on soi Sansabi, its very close to all the action and in my opinion a very good hotel to stay, guest friendly and staff are exceptional, its where I stay for the last four years and I think you will enjoy it.

Thanks in advance.

Hawk I agree Soi 13 is an outstanding Soi to stay at. I'm sure you saw the Whitehouse Condotel next door to Dynasty. I have been staying there for years and recommend it for the location and value. Never stayed at Sandy Spring but it should be ok, too. I would stay at Whitehouse over Sandy Spring if Whitehouse is cheaper.

I often bring go go girls to Whitehouse. They seem to be appreciative of its close location to Second Road. We always take a Baht bus to the hotel from Walking Street. The girls like the short 1 minute walk to the Whitehouse and they can easily find a moto taxi by walking back to Second Road. Please let us know how Sandy Springs works out. I've always wanted to check it out.

Friends of mine stay at Inn House in Soi13 last July. They gave me a good report about the hotel.I've stayed there on one trip and it certainly was a decent place for the price. However I recently noticed that prices have gone up by around 400 baht, could be due to the high season.

The drains in the shower area clog easily and the bathroom fills up with water, only problem I faced. While I left a generous tip for the cleaning crew, I noticed that the bathrooms weren't cleaned everyday. Just wanted to point this out. Otherwise, the place is fine, small double bed, fridge and balcony included (plus a mini pool on the terrace).

However I recently noticed that prices have gone up by around 400 baht, could be due to the high season.I don't know, probably yes. They booked by agoda or booking (I don't remember) and found a good offer for July, standard room 7xx baht and room with seaview for 9xx baht for night without breakfast, both price include tax.

Hey FL Hawk,

DelI've staying in Holiday Inn, which was pretty good. As long as you show the ID of the girl, they have no problem with bringing anyone.

DelDifferent folks enjoy staying at different locations. Some like being in the thick of the action, but I want a quiet area, and So13 between BR and 2nd street fits the bill nicely. The walk to WS is not bad at all, and while a bhat bus is far easier, a walk to or from Soi 6 is doable. But, some might prefer to be closer to Soi 6, or others a little closer to WS. The bhat buses really makes it a bit irrelevant where you stay as they circle that area constantly.

I liked the Dynasty Inn, which is next door to the Whitehouse Condotel. What I liked is that it is a nonsmoking hotel, the rooms were large with a large shower, the staff was friendly and the front desk actually would call you up when a girl left to ensure all was ok. In November you can read my report about, I guess, the Sandy Spring, since the Dynasty is booked up when I am going. I expect the SS to be fine, however, though you never know if smokers will ruin it.

You still have lots of time to review hotels before your plan. Don't relay on what any one person tells you. Read the reviews, ask some question, and made a decision.

But I am starting to get excited again. Just 5 weeks and I will be in BKK! Then 3 days in Puket and 5 or 6 in Pattaya. Already looking to go back again next April or May in time to attend Comic Con Bangkok!

After I found Dynasty full, I checked the Whitehouse and they were full, too. If anyone is going to Pattaya in the next few months, make your reservations! The favorite spots seem to be filling up.

Summer Breeze is a good hotel I think there are only about 22 rooms but they are fit for purpose, I usually stay in a superior room and only pay £20 during low season.

Although there is no free breakfast, they have a good restaurant that serves good quality Thai and western food at reasonable prices.

Hope you enjoy your stay there.

I liked the Dynasty Inn, which is next door to the Whitehouse Condotel. What I liked is that it is a nonsmoking hotel, Actually it's not completely non-smoking as smoking is allowed on the balconies. And every room has a balcony.

Anyway, great hotel. The only cons I can think of is that the AC has no remote control and that the walls between the rooms are quite thin and 100% wood so you can hear your neighbour cumming at 4 AM or whatever time.

The favorite spots seem to be filling up.Try to book a room one week or even a few days before you travel as hotels often have last minute cancellations. I never book far in advance anymore except maybe for the time around Christmas / New Year although I think that's not really a good time anyway to visit Pattaya (with those dreadful stalls on Beach Road....).

Yep, I stayed there, it cost around $15 a night. My plan was to bomb WS for a couple of days while I was there.

The reality: I never barfined anyone from WS while I was in the Guest House, I kept going back to Soi 6 and other places, although I did spend some time in Go-Gos on Walking Street.

The pros:

Location, price.

The rooms are decent.

The cons:

It's on the second floor, so you have to lug your suitcase up a treacherous winding staircase.

The rooms are mostly up higher than the second floor, so I had some lady carry my suitcase up the stairs to my room. Yeah, I felt bad about that.

No windows in my cheap room. Okay, I can live with that for $15.

No in-house restaurant. No biggie, there is a good one next door.

Check-in at 3 pm. That sucks.

I noticed that there a group of older ladies, presumably housekeepers, who hung around until late in the evening. No, I didn't bar fine any of them, usually too drunk at that point to do anything but fall into bed.

The Whitehouse Condotel seems to have been mentioned a few times.

Is there any reason to pay the extra for a deluxe room over a superior room?

For 3 nights, it's around 4800 THB for a superior room and 7800 for a deluxe room.

Don't think a separate seating area would be on any real use to me.

Not sure if all rooms come with a standalone shower. Some pictures show one, others just seem to have a bath and hose pipe on the wall so not sure if dependent on room type or you get allocated what's available (prefer a standalone shower at the very least).

Not sure how anyone can stay in a room with no windows.I crossed the Atlantic once on a ship in a cabin below the waterline. No windows that could be opened.

Anyway, the girls in Peppermint GoGo ranged from average to awesome.

The girls in Soi 6 ranged from average to good enough, except I did find one sweet young thing with an awesome unmodified body and almost zero experience, willing to learn.

Next time, I would probably do WS once in a while, and focus on soi 6, except my plans always change.

They have gone up in price a lot from my first stay there 10 years ago. To answer your question I don't believe there is any reason for you to pay extra for the deluxe room. I find the couch to be worthless. I had been in all 3 types of their rooms and the regular, cheaper rooms are fine. All rooms of all types have the same shower stalls and they are huge. You can easily have your girl join you in the shower and have plenty of room to spare. Get the cheaper room.

I was in Pattaya last in may this year. I booked room at Sugar sugar on L K Metro on arrival disappointed room was OK but shower and toilet was big let down left immediately and moved to Opey de Place on Soi Lengkee for 850 per night nice clean room great service and nice pool nice balcony and good shower loved the place and stayed for 3 weeks never a complaint except on checkout they wanted 50 baht for 2 bottles of water WTF? I assumed every hotel that size gave free water. This left a bitter taste not sure I will stay there next trip anyone know if Katsree house on Soi Bukhao is OK or any other place on Soi Diana or Soi honey good at 800 to 1000 per night thanks for any help.

Hey guys,

I am looking to at various places to stay within the Pattaya area, I can't decide whether to stay in a hotel or guest house. Looking at hotels around various Soi's I have found a few that I like but also like the idea of moving out of the main area and looking at a few guest houses in and around LK Metro and Soi Buakhao.

Also looking at a few places on Soi 7 , theses are rooms above the gogo bars that look real nice, I'm looking at shooters bar and guesthouse on Soi 7 , if any one has been before can you recommend?.

On LK Metro I was looking at guest houses I Rovers, Pasadena Lodge, Kilkenny guest house, Billabong GH, Rockhouse GH.

Would be grateful if any one has stayed at the various locations offer any feedback on those mentioned.

Cheers,

Avoid I-Rovers. Old and bad room, and too much loud music all night from the bar downstair. In LK Metro I know The Metro Apartments http://www.metro-apartments-pattaya.com/web/rooms.php.

I don't know your needs but I stop to stay in soi LK Metro due to loud music from bars and gogo till late. I'm not a party-man so I don't like to stay out till 5/6 am.

DelI never stayed in any of these rooms above (or even close by) the bars or agogo-clubs. It seems a very bad idea to me. Those girls have hawk-eyes and will probably take it rather badly if you arrive with a different companion every night. Some can be quite possessive. For my own peace of mind, I always stay away from the obvious bar areas.

Am looking for a girl friendly clean hotel in south Pattaya. Will be there in a few weeks. I can pay $40- $60 US per night, give or take a few dollars. A safe would be an added bonus. A number of hotels were recommended on this forum. But I'm not sure if they are in south Pattaya. Some hotels recommended here were Dynasty, White House Condotel, Inn House on Soi 13, Summer Breeze and Sandy Springs. Any of those in south Pattaya? Also, anyone know the e-mail address of the White Inn in south Pattaya? Their Internet e-mail address of whiterose_pattaya@hotmail.com does not work.

I will be in Pattaya in 4 weeks, and when I was trying to book rooms a few weeks ago, the Dynasty (where I stayed my first time and first looked at for my second time) was booked, as was the White House. I did get a room at the Sandy Springs which looks nice. I like Dynasty as they are non-smoking, and they were good about calling you up when your lady picked up her ID. Oh well.

Thailand is approaching the high season, so don't delay booking a room!

There are two main streets in town for most of us. Second Road and Beach Road which ends at the entrance of Walking Street. These streets run parallel to each other and it is a 5 minute walk at most between the streets. For first time visitors I strongly recommend staying very near to Beach or Second Road, preferably at a hotel between the two. Whether its South, Central, or even North Pattaya isn't that important. Baht buses run a constant 24 hour circuit south on Beach and then North on Second Rd. It is incredibly easy to take a baht bus down these two streets at a cost of 10 baht per ride.

Soi 13 is a nice mid point location for everything. I would prefer to stay between Soi 6 and Soi 13 but as long as you are very close to Second or Beach roads you will be in a good location.

Soi 13 is a good compromise, you have everythongs near in a walking distance and have some nice hotel like Ma Maison and The Haven. If you are interesting in Inn House looking for promotion on booking.com or agoda.com because their price are high for what the room offer. And from soi 13 to Walking Street I think is maybe 4/500 m.

I never would like stay in the middle of Walking Street too noisy and loud musice, but if you want stay in a good location next to the WS but outside the noisy take a look here http://www.honey-lodge.com/.

Regarding extending your stay at a hotel.

I extended my stay two times at the Dynasty on my last (my first) trip. One night I extended 1 night by going to the front desk. They said it was actually cheaper to book an extension online through Agoda (the place I originally used). I was only extending for one night, so I said heck with it and I paid the higher rate. But the next day I decided to extend another 2 days, so I did it through Agoda, then told the front desk what I was doing so I could keep my same room. It wasn't a huge amount of money, make $8 per night, but would pay for a few lady drinks!

I guess it all has something to do with exchange rates or contract rates or whatever, but Dynasty was upfront about it.

I just visited Areca Lodge again, this time 9 days. Last time I was there I wasn't impressed at all (I posted a report on it some pages back).

This time the front office staff at "Evergreen" were all smiles and treated my girls well and professionally, so maybe my unfortunate experience from last time was a oneoff.

They were also a great help on choosing some good seafood restaurants in Jomtien area, and I saved lots of money by using their contact for a boat trip to Koh Larn for me and a girl.

A few, still negative, points: Their wifi still really sucks, the "remember me" setting doesn't work and I was disconnected and couldn't reconnect lots of times. Luckily I had a data SIMcard with me, for backup. Their bathroom amenities are of low quality and they are stingy with new supplies. I had to add some better quality amenities I had picked up at other hotels before hitting Pattaya. Towels are worn out / low quality. And it's really annoying that the room power shuts off when you leave it, so my PC, spare phone and other devices don't recharge.

But the big picture is, lot's of ambiance and the girl I ended up with the last 4 1/2 days loved it.

The hairdresser salon in the front building is really good and cheap too (200 baht + tip).

I extended the last day to 6 pm for 900 baht.

When I left the last night the bellboy himself suggested, after I had tipped him 100 baht, that he carry my 2 pieces of luggage half the way down soi Diana to the hotel where my shared taxi was waiting. So I processed along soi Diana, with my girl on one arm, her girlfriend who had also come to say goodbye to me on the other arm (I had BF'ed her too two nights, only so she could join us at the seafood restaurants in Jomtien), and the bellboy with all my luggage behind us.

I have never looked better!

And it's really annoying that the room power shuts off when you leave it Actually you should be happy with that because it also switches off the energy-hungry air conditioning. It saves the hotel a lot of money so they can keep their room rates as low as possible and competative.

And beside that, if hotels didn't have this system the country's total energy consumption would be much higher and this would lead to (more) brownouts.

I think nobody leave lights on or a / see on at home when they are outside. This is the only hotel I have stayed in in South East and East Asia that shuts off all power when you leave the room. And I don't agree that it's environmentally justified, it's just bad customer service.

In some of the other hotels I've stayed in with the same system, a spare card was already placed in the card holder. In other hotels only the aircon shuts down, not the power sockets.

I added in to my report to inform other mongerers about the fact that at Areca Lodge you cannot charge all your devices, e-cigs etc when you leave your room.

This is the only hotel I have stayed in in South East and East Asia that shuts off all power when you leave the room. And I don't agree that it's environmentally justified, it's just bad customer service.

Jean, I don't know what your are talking about. I recently stayed at the Areca Evergreen (the last week in September). I specifically asked for two room keys when I registered. I kept one key in my pocket and the other key remained in the power socket or whatever you call it. Thus the power remained on in my room 24 hours a day. I set the thermostat at 24. I don't like super cool AC rooms, but I hate returning to a hot room. It is also my habit to leave the room with the TV on. A standard dumb joke I play with a new girl when returning to the room with her for the first time (with the TV on) is when I say "honey we are home" as I open the door. It usually gets a humorous response from the girl as she thinks for a mini second that someone is already in the room. Ha Ha.

I liked the Areca Evergreen. For a 4 star hotel it is definitely worth the money. Nothing too fancy, but everything real nice. The princess liked it too! And she stayed with me at the Marriott on previous trips. I just booked the Evergreen again for my next visit to Patt.

P.S. Upon singing in, the girl at the front desk told me that I had to register all of my female guests. Not true. I took all my girls straight up to my room without any hassles. I have no argument with anyone who wants to register their girls, but I am comfortable enough and knowledgeable enough with whom I bed down to not need or want the additional security.

Additionally, the Princess has her own motorbike. She drove me all around Pattaya, but would not let me drive her bike. 555. We always parked the vehicle in the garage and would take the garage elevator up to the lobby. Nobody gave us a glance. One night I took a young 18 year old Go Go welcome girl straight up to my room through the lobby. No problemos, no questions. I like this hotel.

I just booked the Evergreen again for my next visit to Patt.If you see my original post I liked it very much too and so did my girls. My mention of the power is only a minor thing (and my last post was toward the "environmentally awareness" comments). I don't rate is even close to 4 star though due to the quality of amenities, towels and food. But then again the price is not 4 star.

The beauty I had staying the last 4 1/2 days didn't register her ID either, we just walked homely in and out, and we had several talks openly with the front office (organising boat trip, advice on seafood restaurants in Jomtien).

I have also booked it again for my next stay, soon coming up. This time I will also stay in two other hotels though, as the Evergreen rooms were already full for some of my LK Metro days (so we'll move over to one of the large rooms in "Adelphi" close to the other end of LK Metro), and for the Naklua leg I have booked a real 4 star hotel. Will post on these other hotels later.

For my last night in Pattaya, I told the Princess I wanted to take her to a really nice Thai restaurant. She suggested the Glass House on the beach out past Jomtien so we went there. Wow! It was great. We sat at a private candle lit table on the beach not 20 feet from the sea under a starry moonlit sky. It was a really romantic dinner. The food was excellent too. I highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions with your favorite girl. It is about a 25 minute ride from the Evergreen.

http://www.glasshouse-pattaya.com/?lang=enWow, thanks. This is exactly what I hoped to find, with both good food and a candle lit romantic setting. I will definitely go there when I'm back soon.

The first seafood restaurant me, my beauty and her girlfriend went to is just north of that, it's called Pupen ("the crab") and much more folksy with lots of Asian guests. But the girls loved it. I told them to order everything they fancied before I went for a small stroll at the beach. And I repeated "everything", and including wine. We ended up with more than 10 fantastic seafood dishes all thai style, really fresh and well prepared. But it didn't have any of the whole romantic feel I wanted to give them.

I have promised my beauty that I will give her a real "talay" seafood dinner next time, and you just gave me all information I need for that.

I am only too happy to pass on a good tip to a like minded fellow punter. I know you will enjoy dining at Glass House with your "beauty". Let me know how your future romantic evening goes. By the way, if you have your own transportation, that's fine, you won't have much trouble finding the place. But otherwise it is probably best to pre-arrange with a driver a round trip back to Pattaya.

Total bill for the dinner? The dinner tab was $49.25 and as Jean likes to do with his girls, I pretty much let my girls order anything they like. They always ask for my input before making a selection and for my final approval of whatever they are into. Thai girls seem to intrinsically know how to order interesting and balanced meals. For example; a lot of girls like to order oysters, clams, or other shell fish for starters and a whole fish grilled or steamed for the main course.

Hi There,

I am visiting Pattaya during Thanks Giving. I am very much inclined to go for a villa, however most punters who are regular visitor have advised me to go for a decent hotel with no joiners fee.

Please advise, would highly appreciate if you could suggest a few hotels / villas in Pattaya (Sole purpose is to have fun).

Cheers

I have heard of a few hotels having a min age requirement artificially set higher than 18, but I have never stayed at one of these hotels in any of my visits to Pat beginning in 2002. In fact I can only recall having a girl of mine carded 1 time. It was at the Marriott which is normally very relaxed and informal about bringing in female guests which IMHO a hotel should be. I had been drinking Tequilas with my favorite Airport girl all night. I had not realized it in the bar, but once on Walking Street it was obvious that my girl was soused. She could barely walk upright without my support. I am still amazed to this day that I was able to carry her back to my hotel one step at a time. Ha Ha. We must have been quite a sight, the two of us, when we stumbled through the Marriott lobby at 2 am and proceeded to the elevator. This was the only occasion the normally uninterested security guy asked for the ID of one of my girls. To finish the story, we made it to my room and my girl collapsed on the bed. I helped her take off her dress and then I let her pass out. 3 or 4 hours later I woke up with a the girl sprawled all over me and I had a hard on. We shagged bareback and then fell back asleep. Around 11am we woke up again, showered, and shagged a 2nd time so the story has a happy ending. She was a great girl and I had many memorable nights with her, although I do admit it is normally much better not to get them wrecked on Tequila before boom boom.

Regarding the Evergreen Areca Hotel: when I checked into the hotel this September, the girl at the front desk told me that I had to sign in all of my female guests. Not true! I took all my girls straight up to my room without any hassles. I have no argument with anyone who wants to register their girls, but I am comfortable enough and knowledgeable enough with whom I bed down to not need or want the additional security. It is kind of like wearing seat belts in my car. I don't wear them. The registration clerk also informed me that girls UNDER the AGE of 18 are not permitted in the Areca. Duh! But this is not an issue for me because I never barfine girls under the age of consent.

Specifically about my stay at the Areca; the Princess, an old favorite Go Go GF of mine, had her own motorbike. She drove us all around Pattaya, but she would never let me drive her bike. 555. We always parked her bike in the Evergreen garage and would take the garage elevator up to the lobby. Nobody gave us a glance. One night when I was not with the Princess, I took a young 18 + year old Go Go door girl straight up to my room through the lobby. (Before I barfined her I made very sure she was over 18.) There were No Problemos, No Questions from the front desk. I like this hotel. I think you will too. I have booked it again for my April visit.

Breadman, I'd phone and check because my first trip to Pattaya I stayed at The Areca and I think they had a 21+ policy. That said I got all my guests to check in their ID. I remember taking a girl from Showgirls to the Areca and she was refused. I think her ID was fake or she was too young so I took her back to Mamasan who disappeared for a couple of minutes and then came back with another ID stating she was 37 and the Areca refused her ID a second time. She was smoking hot, certainly not 37, and I was gutted but I went back to Showgirls and I got my money back or rather my buddy's as he'd sponsored the barfine so impressed was he by her but he'd already made plans. I probably still owe him that pretty heavy (800?) at the time BF. So check. See this link: http://guestfriendlyhotelsinthailand.********.co.uk/2012/06/areca-lodge-pattaya.html. Pedro.

UNREGISTERED PERSON POLICY
A maximum of 2 people are permitted to be registered to a room and must provide valid identification: passport, ID card or drivers license.
Any private visits from unregistered persons, in hotel guest room, is not permitted unless his/her real identification card is given to the front desk.
According to Thai prostitution act, all entertainment establishments, including the hotel, require proof by national ID that any lady or entertainer is at least age 18. The hotel is not responsible for loss, damage or theft of cash, jewelry or other valuables done by the person guest brings in together.
The hotel has the right to prohibit a joiner to enter the hotel if he/she shows the intention of disturbing any other hotel guest I emailed the hotel, this is the Areca lodges policy above.

I emailed the hotel, this is the Areca lodges policy above. To expand, the policy is not clear on the number of simultaneous girls. If you play it their way you'll have to pay for more than one girl in the room at the same time (registered or unregistered). I believe it's 500 baht for number two girl (which rhymes well with the average price for number two hole pr girl, sorry, I've had wine tonight).

It's doesn't stop with two, according to a girl I had with me at my stay early summer this year. She told me that the only time she had been at Areca before I took her there, they were 4 girls with this guy (she was a bit too frank, and also told me who he is). The front office were complaining though, and made it explicit that they would not allow more girls to his room that night.

What's the best way to get to WS from the Evergreen? Walk down to beach road, grab a motorbike taxi or just walk? Same question but in reverse, best way to get a WS gogo girl back to the Evergreen? My guess would be cut thru to second and jump on a baht bus.

My guess would be cut thru to second and jump on a baht bus.1. I prefer to walk to Walking Street. The fastest way is take the Evergreen entrance on Soi Buakhaow 15 and walk through the Avenue Mall to 2nd Road and then head down to Beach road any number of ways.

2. But motor transportation will be the best way to return to the Areca Evergreen when you are in the company of most girls. I prefer a motorcycle taxi for 80 baht. A good driver will know when to turn right off 2nd Road and proceed up Soi Buakhaow 15 straight to the Evergreen entrance. The alternative is to take a 2nd road baht bus, get off at the Avenue Mall, walk through the mall the short distance to the Evergreen.

Of course there is no real wrong way. You can always enter and leave the Areca by way of the front door on Pattayasaising 13 which as I am sure you know is kitty corner down from LK Metro. Its up to you.

Folks, this could be a really dumb question, but I booked the Areca for early Dec looking at some of the inputs on this forum. However, what I booked is just Areca Lodge and not Evergreen. When I google for Areca Evergreen, the same Areca comes up which I have booked. Am I missing something here or are they the same?

Although I have now been to BKK a few times, this will be my first visit to Pattaya. So really looking forward to it.

Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot.The Areca lodge complex is 3 buildings and 2 pools, as can be seen by this satellite photo. The Evergreen building is the L shaped building to the left, reports are that this building has the nicer rooms. There is a wall running along the side road to the north to keep the property private. You'll have to check your reservation to see which wing your booked into.

Thanks a lot. Most of your question has already been answered. The rooms in Evergreen Tower are slightly larger than at Areca and Corona Towers. You can still use both pools.

Main difference, I believe, is noise. Being next to Soi 15 the Evergreen rooms are much quieter than the other towers where the noise from soi Dianna will continue until early morning.

I've stayed there three times now, always in Evergreen though. Will be back a few days myself around your stay, 555.

I recently posted that I had booked some days at Adelphi, just off soi LK. My reasons were the proximity to LK / Buakhao and that it's a newly refurbished hotel with large rooms and a nice rooftop pool.

When I researched I also came around the 527 Boutique Hotel, I really like the room layouts and the transparent shower cabins (haha), but room size too small for my liking.

Now, my GF for these days just told me (because I asked, stupid me) that she really wants to stay at Jomtien Beach, so I just cancelled Adelphi. Looking forwards to 4 days of seafood, sand and sex and nothing but that, haha!

But I will still consider Adelphi for my next visit to the Buakhao area.

So, anyone else have stayed at Adelphi, and can you recommend (large rooms) ?

So, anyone else have stayed at Adelphi, and can you recommend (large rooms) ?At Jomtien I would recommend Nirvana Boutique Suites or the Fifth Jomtien. Both are lovely places to stay and very close to the beach. Though tariffs start at $40 pick the slightly more expensive rooms (circa $60 -70) and you will have a wonderful stay. Spacious, well appointed rooms in excess of 40 sqm, friendly staff and excellent privacy.

Unfortunately it's completely booked already. But I'll check it for upcoming trips.

I want to give this girl something special, I already know she'll give me a lot of something special haha, so I just booked a resort at the northern starting point of the beach called Rabbit. I've no idea if it's guest friendly or not, but doesn't matter as I will register her in the room with me for all days. It's a bit away from soi 4-5, but I believe the baht bus runs all along the beach road from the water world and southbound. I've not been in this part of Jomtien before, so lots to explore.

That's the gay beach area. Thanks, when I booked I didn't have time to check on Dongtan / Jomtien beach, as only one Gold room was still available, and today all sold out. In the reviews the beach stretch seems to be very popular among straight couples though, including wedding ceremonies. So I don't know, is it entirely gay, or mixed?

The resort has got the best overall reviews I have seen for Pattay and Jomtien. It's relatively expensive though.

I hoped for one of the "antique"/ Thai style villas, as the girl I'm taking with me is quite conservative (eg even at Koh Larn she was too shy to change to the bikini we brought with us, once in privacy everything changes, I even fucked her while her mother was on the phone), and I know she loves Thai style housing in general.

I did some research today, it's officially guest-friendly, gay friendly too. It has separate pools for families and strict adults only, very promising.

I'll post a review!

Interestingly, Fifth Jomtien is no longer guest-friendly according to bargirlfriendlyhotels dot com!

I can vouch that it was girl friendly then. I stayed there for 5 nights and had at least 2 visitors per day. On one occasion I had 2 girls with me in the room at the same time too. No one raised an eyebrow. If things have changed for the worse, I am not aware. Good to know. Thanks Jean. Have a good stay.

When preparing my trip, I asked for your advises about which would be the right hotel to stay in my four nights in Pattaya. Finally I decided for The Intimate Hotel. Good choice!. Sure not the cheapest hotel but it deserves its price: rooms, service, situation. Everything excellent! And, of course, no problem to bring girls to your room. It seems that if you bring two girls they charge 1.000 baths for the second one, but it was not my case.Yeah, the only problem with The Intimate Hotel is that they have raised the age requirement for overnight guests. In this hotel it's 20 yo as opposed to the usual 18 yo. If you're into particularly young girls (personally I'm not) this could be a discouraging factor. I'm not quite sure why they do this. My best guess would be that, while the legal age for sex business is 18 in Thailand, the bars are not allowed to hire "staff" younger than 20. As far as I understand The Intimate Hotel is under the same management as the coyote bar across the street, and they may fear trouble with the law if they don't apply the same standards to their hotel as they are legally required to apply to their bar.

One of the girls I asked to barfine and she apologized that it her time of the month. So these bars do hire staff under 20, but may be these girls bar fine on an irregular basis.

I would not be at all surprised if a few girls in their late teens (18-19 yo) appear in Tim's Bar, which from the bar's perspective is fine as long as those girls then disappear into the silent night of Pattaya with a client. However, if they cross the street to the hotel and the policy shows up, then they would be just soooOO busted.

Hello guys,

I am planning a trip to LOS in Mid Feb with one of my best friends and thought it would be a good idea to get a good 4* Hotel with a suite with 2 attached rooms and a common hall.

Do anyone have an idea about any such hotels or service apartments? I was thinking of booking somewhere close to where all the action is.

Thanks

ThanksIn September a buddy and I had adjoining suites at the penthouse hotel. Each room had its own jacuzzi and stripper pole. About a 5 minute walk from walking street and 100 meters to the beach. Breakfast is included. I would call it a 4 star hotel definitely not a 5 star but fun place.

Need suggestion if this is OK?They're all OK if they meet your needs, but you never mentioned your needs so we're all in the dark as to what kind of "suggestion" you're expecting from the ISG community. Is it cost, breakfast, location, GF, decor, room size, etc?

Anyone know of the current state of Sea Me Spring Too in regard to surrounding construction and noise? I plan to stay there for a few nights for New Years; however, tend to sleep in quite late.

Thank you.

This is the place you are looking for:

http://www.fourseasonsplace.comNot a bad looking place at all, too bad its well off the beaten path. Read a review on tripadvisor that they have a free shuttle to walking street and beach road but taxi's back to the hotel will run you 200 baht. I know baht bus's run up south pattaya road but how frequently do they run at night?

By 'ALL' do you mean 24/7?Yes. For clarification, on 2nd road, soi Buakhao, and beach road you can get a bus at all hours.
I have even seen baht buses on N. Pattaya and Central Pattaya in the late night hours. However, on those two roads the buses run less frequent.
Now if you want to go down South Pattaya (away from the beach) you would be better off just get a motor bike taxi if you are comfortable with riding on them. Or you can rent one of the baht buses right there on S. Pattaya just outside of walking st. If you do get one of those buses waiting, always negotiate the fare.

Bro,

Suggestion would be for cost, location, GF and decent room size. A friend suggested "Bay breeze", "Nova gold" and "B2 south Pattaya" as viable options too. Further I have decided to divide my trip to 4 days Pattaya & 4 days BKK.

Bro,

Suggestion would be for cost, location, GF and decent room size. A friend suggested "Bay breeze", "Nova gold" and "B2 south Pattaya" as viable options too. Further I have decided to divide my trip to 4 days Pattaya & 4 days BKK.With just a few tools, you can find the answers you seek.

First, some hotel discount sites, TripAdvisor, Booking and Agoda, are a few good ones. Each allows search by location and price. Each site also has reviews, read them and look for problems. Once you get a list of possible hotels it's time for the next tool.

Google search for "girl friendly hotel Pattaya", you will find a few different lists. Check for the hotels on your list. Maybe you can take a few off, maybe you can add a few.

Next, search this forum for posts about the hotels on your list. There's a good chance you'll find a report for some of them. Once again, refine your list.

By this time, you should have a list of several hotels which you have decided will fit your basic needs. Now it's time to rank them.

My first step, find hotels in my price range. Location is not as important to me, but I will eliminate the hotels that are too far away from food, entertainment and transportation. Next I filter out hotels that don't have my required amenities. I insist on WiFi and AirCon. Next, I scratch off any with cleanliness or maintenance or bug issues. I don't want to spend my time sleeping with bedbugs and stepping on roaches. While I'm at it, I look for customer service problems.

After cleaning up my list through Google and forum search, I score each hotel, after I group by location. For Pattaya, I might have groups for Walking Street, Soi 6, Soi Buakhao, Soi LK Metro. How you score hotels is up to you. I score higher for king size bed, larger room, view, customer service, breakfast included, pool and decor.

After I'm finished, I have 2 or 3 hotels each in the different areas I'm considering, plus 1 or 2 outside my search area.

I tend to spend 10 to 15 hours working on a list of hotels. When I'm finished, I am certain that my hotel choice won't spoil my trip.

Each person here has their own criteria for a hotel room. Some will stay in places I wouldn't dare, some only choose hotels out of my price range. It's a lot of work, but when you are finished, you will be able to ask questions that people can answer.

SNIP....Bro,

Thanks for all the pointers. Purpose for my trip is purely mongering (booze and girls as many as I can handle).

I have already been through the process you mentioned and narrowed down list of hotels (it's there in my first post here). The problem is I am unable to finalize on a particular one, may be because it's my first trip and.

Having newbie jitters (don't know if its a thing but I am experiencing it). All the hotels I narrowed down allows guests (confirmed by directly asking hotels), in my budget ($25 - $30) and situated around south to central Pattaya. But still I am a bit hesitant as to which hotel to book, as per my research action is almost everywhere (north, south or central Pattaya) but which should be good for a newbie like me? Who is travelling alone. So what I do about this, I turn to my fellow brethren on ISG who already have ton of experience and may have been through similar experience. I hope I am able to convey my exact need of help in this post.

P.S.: further research has led my to add "LK Mansion" in my list of hotels. Please bare with me.

Cheers,

MB

Cheers,

MBIn your original post, you listed 8 hotels. You later added the Bay Breeze, Nova Gold, B2 South Pattaya, and LK Mansion. That's 12 hotels.

I doubt there's any ISG member who has stayed at all 12 hotels so making a comparison between them is difficult. You should also know that within a hotel, there are old, new, and remodeled rooms (Standard vs. Deluxe vs. Suite) so you're asking someone to compare apples to oranges and make a recommendation.

Everyone has different expectations when they stay at a certain hotel, for example, less than a five minute walk away from the "action"; reliable WI-FI; free breakfast; king size bed; swimming pool. Without knowing who you are and what you expect in a hotel, it's impossible and unrealistic for anyone to make a recommendation for you that will satisfy you 100%. It's like asking which beer bar or go-go bar is the best in Pattaya.

You've confirmed that they're all within your budget, GFF, and located close to the "action". If you've done "research," you should be able to narrow down your hotels from 12 to less than 5 (and don't ask the ISG community to do that for you).

I understand that you have "newbie jitters" but you're only there for 4 NIGHTS so make an "executive decision. " You're only renting a hotel room. You're not buying the place. It's not the end of the world if the hotel turns out to be less than you expected; but it should not completely ruin your trip if you've done your research and selected a hotel that meets your basic minimum expectations.

We've all ended up in hotels that we've regretted staying at, but that's part of the adventure and the learning process. If you're so jittery and unsure of your ability to research hotel reviews and make a judgment call on which one to stay at, you might want to re-consider your trip to Pattaya or go on a package tour where everything is decided for you.

SNIP.First of all I am here asking for suggestion from people who have been in a place where I would be going for the first time, I am not expecting anyone to make decisions for me. Giving suggestion / sharing experience isn't that's the whole purpose of this forum?

I also get the point that there won't be a single ISG member who had stayed at all the hotels I have listed, hell it may be a case where not a single one had stayed in any of the hotels I have listed. But the reason I shared the list is just in case if a fellow member had stayed in it then he / she can share the experience, if not that's OK too.

As far as understanding that its just renting a hotel and not end of the world, well I must thank you for opening up my eyes.

I totally agree about people ended up staying at hotels they regretted and its part of learning process, but learning from other's mistake (mostly due to misfortune) isn't that is also part of the process? What I expected was just sharing of experience. Again this what this forum is for, at least that's the impression I was under.

Anyway thanks again for you valuable inputs.

Have a look at http://thehotelvista.com I have never stayed there but it has some connecting rooms. It bills itself as a new luxury hotel but the rates seem reasonable. I don't believe I have ever read a review here about this hotel.Try it as hotelvista.com "thehotelvista.com" isn't a valid website.

The Areca lodge complex is 3 buildings and 2 pools, as can be seen by this satellite photo. The Evergreen building is the L shaped building to the left, reports are that this building has the nicer rooms. There is a wall running along the side road to the north to keep the property private. You'll have to check your reservation to see which wing your booked into.I just booked at the Corona bldg, and having second thought. Just how bad is the nitghttime noise?

P.Corona is the middle tower and not bad street-noise wise. I just stayed there for a few nights, usually I book the Evergreen but it was sold out. The street noise is significant at the front tower (Areca).

The rooms in Evergreen are bigger though.

The last day I was there (last week) a construction work started during daytime at the neighboring building facing the south pool (the pool close to the Evergren). The noise was really annoying and went on all day.

So I suggest that you contact the hotel and ask if there is construction work going on, alternatively use the North pool.

I head there in Jan.

P.I don't know, the entire building looked deserted, from my balcony I watched some construction workers taking a lunch-time nap in some of the rooms.

On the photo I've attached, I have marked the building where construction work went on. I guess it's a sort of a refurbish construction.

I suggest that you contact the hotel directly. As I wrote when I was there last weekend the noise was really annoying. I spoke with a few other guests that were also pretty annoyed.

Hi my dear ISGians,

I am planning to visit Pattaya in first week of March-2016 . My visit is purely mongering and enjoy all the babes sky is the limit. Need information about very good quality girls in the range of 10000 Bh or $300 dollars for night. I will stay there for four nights then to Bankok for 2 days. Want to know how Indians are treated there and availability of CIS girls and European girls. Please suggest me a good hotel near to walking street in the range of $100. I love BBBJ and where can I get good quality of babes who do BBBJ. Need information from all respected seniors. Please help me.

Its a forum not a help desk, people share information here, and there search felicity to look for the information or at least go through the pages. It seems you do not have the time or patience to do so.

1. If Sky is the limit for you then why bother to ask these questions, just reach there and do as you like.

2. Indians do not have good reputation in both Pattaya and Bkk, you can also find this information on various forums including here. Why? You can check and find yourself if you put some effort.

3. CIS and EU girls might be there, but very unlikely you can take them back to your room, because of several factors, also you can find info on this by search may be other seniors may give you better explanation.

4. There are websites like Agoda, Bookings dot com etc where you can check for hotel info, price, location, reviews etc. Try it if you haven't done before.

5. Where you can get good quality babes for BBBJ. Is it even a question.

My suggestion, grow up, try to be more independent and self-learning, no one is here to spoon fed you. No offence but really the kind of attitude you are expressing if one of the reasons why Indians are generalized and not welcomed in many places. Also my note that several venues in Pattaya and Bangkok do not allow Indians, details you can find on some threads.

My visit is purely mongering and enjoy all the babes sky is the limit. Need information about very good quality girls in the range of 10000 Bh or $300 dollars for night.Go anywhere in Pattaya, bar, club, disco, massage place, Soi 6 or Beach Road and shout that you will pay 10 000 Baht for the whole night, a queue will form and you just have to pick and choose.

But there is no guarantee that a high price will bring you "very good quality girls". Your idea of "very good quality" may not be my idea of it and, more importantly, the girl's idea of "good quality".

Flashing your money around like this is more likely to bring the sharks out than the genuine good performers.

Do your homework, read the last 20 pages or so of this forum, learn how to behave in the bars, clubs and discos and you will get a more rewarding experience.

As to CIS and European girls, I cannot help you. I don't come to SE Asia to meet these girls, but what I have read on this and other forums, their quality is low, their price is (too) high and their service is next to non-existent. A story I heard was about a CIS girl promising to "go with you to your hotel", she got the agreed price paid beforehand and dropped the guy off at his hotel and then walked away. She did what she was paid for: go to his hotel with him and as nothing was said about providing any further services she just disappeared.

Some hotels I "stayed" at on my trip.

From cheapest to most expensive.

Walking Street Guest House. Secondary hotel. I got the biggest room facing Walking Street. The room was decent with a tiny kitchenette. Enjoyed the view from my room looking down at the club with the belly dancers in the window. I never did go in there but definitely will next time. The receptionist was not friendly at all. Be warned the music may be loud to some but to me if was fine. A great secondary hotel for picking up FL's and gogo girls and not wanting to take them back to your real hotel.

Green View. Secondary hotel. Man at reception was disgusting and extremely unfriendly. I got the Deluxe room not sure if there are better rooms. Safe didn't work so luckily it was a secondary hotel for me not having to keep my passport there. Room was basic. Great location just off Walking Street. I will never stay there again. Better options elsewhere.

Tweet Tweet Nest. Great hotel if you enjoy Soi 7 and soi 8. VERY nice modern rooms just steps away from Beach Road. I got the sea view room. Don't bother as it's only a partial sea view. OTH, you can see when the FL's are starting to ply their trade on Beach Road. Make sure your girl is over 20 since they have an over 20 rule. Unfortunate cause I cancelled my nights here after discovering the rule. Staff is SUPER friendly. Not the easiest hotel to find but luckily I google mapped it before I went.

Baywalk Residence. Great location abut 5 min walk from Walking Street and beside mall. Room was fairly large and decent. It was a lot darker than the pics depict. Staff friendly. I'd stay here if you're on a tight budget. Personally I'd go with Aya Hotel on the same street if I booked on Soi 13 again.

Hard Rock Hotel. After scrambling out of Tweet Tweet I stayed here for 1 night while looking for a better hotel. Typical Hard Rock. Nice room but extremely small. Got the basic room. Not the best location which is why I moved.

View Talay 6 - First class all the way. Can't ask for anything better. Full kitchen sans stove. Got the 48 sqm sea view room. My gogo girls loved it. They would all come in and go straight on to the balcony. A few MP's in the lobby but only saw 1 MPA who would have been worthy. They will come up to your room if you prefer. Hotel is nicely located beside Central Festival mall and their excellent Food Court. I recommend the tandoori chicken. The hotel extends from 2nd Road almost all the way to Beach Road which was nice. A small locked gate beside the 7-11 to enter from Beach Road. If you want to walk inside all the way from 2nd to Beach cut through Central Festival. When you bring girls home, the elevator guys will motion if you want the girl to give them her ID. You can just wave them off if you don't. Good to have a choice.

Preparing my short trip to Pattaya end of February and thought it was the right time to contribute to the forum a bit more then what I've done in the past.

In the past, I did 3 short trips to Pattaya. Try to combine such a pleasure visit when I travel to the East LOL.

My first stay was 3 years ago, stayed in The Bayview Hotel. Hotel was quite nice, in the middle between walking street and Soi 6 so for both venues it's a rather good location.

This was a last minute booking and hadn't much choice for rooms. They stuck me in a room overlooking the big pool in the middle so had to keep the curtains down if I wanted to have some intimacy in my room. Room had twin beds which was a bit of a bummer but didn't bring anybody to my room anyway. (Will post my adventures of these 3 trips later in the Pattaya section). As I didn't bring any girl to the room I don't know what the procedures are but saw some working ladies during night so pretty sure the hotel is GF.

The good: hotel is nice and relaxed with 2 big pools. Free WiFi in the lobby and common places but to be paid in the room. More of a couple style hotel but if you like some luxury it's a good hotel. Room was a bit on the older side and my room had no separate shower, bath was not huge.

Breakfast was good but on the expensive side. Can take a breakfast at the pool, which is quite nice.

2 Years ago I stayed in the See me spring too hotel, which is closer to walking street. Room was on the 6th floor If I remember correctly.

The good: Hotel is totally GF. You just come in and out with whomever you like which is nice. Hotel had a big bed and a separate shower and bath (small one) and a balcony which I.

Like if anybody smokes.

The bad: asked for a non smoking room but the room smelled like an ash tree. Shower was poor, either cold water or hot as hell, pool is on the small side.

Never had any breakfast there and would not think of taking one either.

Last year I stayed in Intimate Hotel, which is in a side alley on 2nd street. Walking street and beach road are quite close so location wise it was fine. Room & hotel are not really brand new but rooms were clean and smelled normal. Bed was good, had a little balcony (where you even can have fun with someone if she's open for it) and a good shower and bath. The pool is not really impressive but seemed to be relaxed. Didn't go there, just did a quick check. Never had a breakfast here either, it's served downstairs and like to eat in the open.

This hotel is also fully GF. Ask for ID at the counter but that's something I have no problem with.

What hotel will it be this time? Being on the difficult side, haven't made up my mind yet. When I'm in Pattaya end of February, I'd like to play a round of golf so was thinking of trying the golf hotel but sure yet. I'm looking for a decent GF hotel, with a nice pool and good shower. Any suggestions anybody?

Cheers,

Vespa

Hi all,

New to mongers area.

I'm planning my first trip to Pattaya in next Feb / March. Would like to know few information from Seniors.

1-Do most of the Hotels charge fine for bringing a girl for overnight stay? What's the normal amount if they charge?

2-Free WiFi, does it cover WiFi access to private rooms also. Asking because I read somewhere hotels give access to WiFi only in public areas.

3-I saw most of the popular hotels provide online bookings via various travel portals / apps. Now is the rate going to be cheap using these portals or booking directly with Hotel would be cheaper. I also would like to mention here that various portals provide 20-3-% off on online bookings.

4-The above are the basic points I though of. If I'm missing something need a check of, please guide.

Regards,

Fellow monger.

Good luck.I just got back after a two night stay here. No noise in the day time. I didn't notice construction across the hotel, rather the entrance to evergreen is partially blocked and covered by scaffolding. But my room was not in the same wing of evergreen so I was not affected. I slept at 4 am every night through the day waking up periodically only to fornicate or [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140), no disturbances and noises whatsoever.

I loved the place! Thank you for the excellent recommendation, although next time I will choose a somewhat cheaper place just to save money. I booked a super deluxe.

The answers are all in the past posts, but I'm in good mood and can tell the following:

1. Most hotels don't ask for a "joiner fee" if you bring one girl to your room, provided you have made a booking for a 2 person room. If still in doubt, just email the hotel and ask what their policy is for unregistered guests.

2. That is entirely dependent on the hotel. Email them and ask.

3. Usually the rate on websites like www.booking.com are the cheapest as they bind "their" hotels not to undercut the web-site prices. Again, just ask the hotel what their best price is if you buy direct from them.

Now go back 20 pages or so on this forum and start reading so you get detailed info about the Pattaya hotel market.

I was in Pattaya last February and stayed at the Ozo hotel. I'm thinking of coming back again this year and I see that the Ozo is now the Premier Inn. I was quite satisfied with the Ozo last year. I'm just wondering if anyone has stayed in the hotel since the change and if so has anything changed positively or negatively?

Thanks

Any hotel within walking distance from WS and Beach road, which has bath tubs or Jacuzzi without joiner fees? And where one can have good sleep also when sleep is required (sound proof-from the noise of bars).

Heard of Tim Boutique (Now Intimate Hotel). Any recent experience? RTFF found that they are quite strict with registering all visiting guests (checkin and check out), and many rules and call every room every morning at 10 am and all that.

Any other good option?

Any hotel within walking distance from WS and Beach road, which has bath tubs or Jacuzzi without joiner fees? The suites in Baywalk Residence. For something a bit nicer, the Pattaya Marriot.

Having the girls register in and out is actually seen as a benefit, not a hinderance.

Thanks a lot for your valuable advice Banana Boi and Christian G.

Did lot of study and research and booked studio rooms with bath tubs at Baywalk residence. It was quite cheaper, Location is very good and satisfied my requirements well.

Got a good deal (Insider) from Agoda.

Thanks a lot.

Very good hotel near everywhere. Yes, they are strict about registering visiting guests, but this is not bad.

I haven't heard the Wave Hotel mentioned often in this forum, but I had a great stay here recently and fully recommend it. It's *not* a budget option, but it's a very new, very clean boutique hotel with great service. It's guest-friendly, directly overlooks the beach, and is about a 10 min walk to WS.

I've considered Wave but it's just overpriced. I can stay at a comparable hotel like Page 10 and get a nice gogo girl for the night for the same price.

I think Agoda's vagaries have been commented on before but I think I'm going to have to stop using agoda.com to book my Pattaya and Bangkok stays. No confirmation page, no confirmation email and, when I go to 'manage my bookings' there's nothing there at all. Yet I know I handed my credit card details over and got a brief message saying it was booked. Who knows if I'll have a room when I get there? Then after two hours I get an email saying they don't know what I'm talking about. But I bet I get charged, as usual.

My usual habit for these things is to open two windows and hunt down the same rooms via Bookings and agoda, then go with the cheapest. But with their hidden fees and now, just lately, this complete lack of feedback, it's Booking.com only for me for now on. Or maybe I'll just turn up.

Anyone else noticed this decline with agoda or are they just picking on me?

Anyone else noticed this decline with agoda or are they just picking on me?Booking.com is totally transparent. You get an instant confirmation email, and your booking always shows up in your account on their website. And should you need to cancel a reservation they also confirm instantly. But more importantly, IMHO, is that they show you the TOTAL price upfront. Agoda quotes their prices minus the taxes and service charges so that you think their price is lower. It's a lousy way to do business. Booking includes the 10% and 7% addons in their quote.

And Agoda almost always charges you upfront, while Booking almost always lets you pay directly to the hotel when you check out. When they've got your money they've also got you by the balls.

I only used Agoda once, and I had to prepay for a 28 night stay in Patts. When I arrived at the hotel at 02:30 after traveling for 31 hours from the US they had no record of my reservation. I had to call Agoda on my cell phone at $2. 99 per minute to try to sort this out. That call cost me almost 100 USD, and while they finally found the reservation they refused to reimburse me for the call. They didn't even apologize for the error. How arrogant is that?

I've used Booking at least 20 times without a single hiccup.

I had a similar experience the very first time I used Agoda but put it down to their being a new company (that's how long ago it was).

In this latest case their only advice is that if (probably when) my credit card gets charged, I should send them 'evidence'. What they'll do after that I don't know. Since the deal I booked isn't going to show up on my card til I go on holiday I suppose I have to just sit and worry about it til then!

I had booked Hotel Nana Bangkok with Agoda but didnot face any problem.

I immediately got an Email confirmation. And I had forwarded the same email to the Hotel Email ID.

While Checking in, the reception already had a print of the booking with them and check in was smooth.

I have again booked with Agoda this time in Pattaya, don't know how will be the experience this time.

To be more cautious, I will forward the booking confirmation email to the Hotel Email so that they remain aware of the booking in advance.

Anyone else noticed this decline with agoda or are they just picking on me?Marckus, I think its a bad experience you have faced with Agoda. I booked Baywalk residence for my upcoming visit yesterday afternoon with a pay later option. By evening my mind changed and I cancelled the booking and rebooked another Hotel, all within 10 minutes of timespan, seamlessly. Got instant emails of cancellation and rebooking. Same was also updated in my logged in section.

I don't think its yet time to write off Agoda. I have also been using Booking alternatively and both seem to have been good so far. Multiple cancellations and rebookings flawlessly handled.

The funny thing is that both Agoda & Booking.com are owned by the same American company (Priceline).
But Agoda was based in Thailand originally while Booking.com was based (and still is) in the Netherlands. Maybe that says it all, LOL.

I have booked with all the major booking sites (Agoda, Booking.com, Expedia, Kayak, ect) and with specific hotels directly. I have never had a problem with any of them and they are all fungible in my opinion so I have no loyalties and book with the one that offers the best deal at the time I am interested in making a reservation. It varies. Sometimes there are great deals on Agoda and other times not.

Concerning Agoda, I like doing business with them. They provide good descriptions of the specific rooms I am interested in and their room quotes are per night and never include taxes. Taxes are listed as an extra charge that is added on to the reservation before the total cost is calculated. It is easy to see. Booking dot com, on the other hand, provides quotes per length of stay and sometimes these quotes include the taxes and sometimes not, so I find the Agoda website easier to read and decipher. But like I said, Agoda DOES not always offer the lowest price. Sometimes Booking. Dot com has the lowest price and other times even Expedia or Travelocity or the hotel website direct has the best deal.

I have always received, within a few minutes of making a reservation, an email confirmation with an attached PDF voucher for all my Agoda reservations. I save the voucher file to hard disk and print it out as well. This is the page you show the hotel when checking in and I have never had a problem checking into any hotel. Agoda does have a number to call in case you do not receive the confirmation email with attached voucher. I have called this number only a couple of times, not about the voucher, but about some other matter and my issue was handled professionally and efficiently. I have no complaints with Agoda.

P.S. Agoda also has a reward point system similar to Expedia's and it is always nice to receive $25 off a reservation every once in a while.

I book direct with Intercontinental, Hyatt, and Marriott hotels because I have each of their respective Chase credit cards. These Visa cards have an annual fee, but come with annual free nights and free upgrades. The cards also have zero fx charge for all foreign transactions. Still, I always compare the hotel web site price with Agoda /Booking.com sites just to make sure I am getting the best deal.

Anyone else noticed this decline with agoda or are they just picking on me?Looks like they were indeed picking on you! 5555.

On a less humorous note I have been a Agoda member and user for a long time now (over 10 years). Incidentally Agoda was founded in 1998 in Thailand and is now headquarted in Singpaore. I have used the portal for all my travels across all continents and I have not once faced an issue. They even have a decent loyalty program which allows you to redeem points against hotel tariff. Maybe your experience was an exception and you must complain to them. They take feedback pretty seriously and will redress your grievance.

P.S. - I am not canvassing for them, just my 2 cents.

Aloha all,

This will be my first trip to Thailand (Mid-March). Couldn't think of a better way to celebrate my 45th Birthday. I wanted to thank the forum users for aiding me in my hotel search. I am a long time user of the USG for Honolulu and I am excited to make some memories in Thailand. I will be spending 4 days in Bangkok (in total) and 2 days each in Pattaya and Phuket. I first booked the Penthouse Hotel in Pattaya but after going back and forth in my mind after reading a lot of mixed reviews, and considering the venues of Walking Street and LK Metro, I thought I might have a better time spending my actual birthday at LK Metro rather than Walking Street. So, I canceled my booking at Penthouse and booked a Deluxe Suite at LK Metropole. I don't know which forum I should post this question and I apologize if this is off topic and / or a stupid question but how easy or difficult would it be to coordinate several LT girls from a bar / gogo or would it be easier to book through DD or something for my birthday festivities. I'm envisioning the Wolf of Wall Street plane ride here (without the coke). I will probably not get back to Thailand again so I wanted to make the most of it and have a grand ol time while I am there. Again, sorry if the question is dumb. I am also starting to have concerns because I am from Hawaii, mixed race tan complexion, wondering if the Thai girls might not be too interested because I'm not white or haole as the Hawaiians say.

That said, if you're looking at bringing more that one guest at the same time, the Penthouse is the better choice. They let anyone in there. BigRig,

Forget Penthouse. LK Metro is much better choice.

As to your Wolf of Wall Street ride to Pattaya; that is a bit of a fantasy. You can avail yourself of the Devils Den VIP pickup service, but its not like you are going to have an orgy in the back. No, that will only begin when you arrive in Pattaya, so for a 90 minute ride from BKK to Pattaya with two girls it really is not worth it and way overpriced. Just wait to arrive and walk over to DD. Meet the girls and take who ever you want. Or wait until 8 pm and hit the Walking Street. There are plenty of girls in the higher rated Go Go's who will do menage. It is always best to meet the girls 1st hand, see who you like and build up some chemistry before you take them back to your hotel room. There are no shortcuts if you really want to have a good time.

P.S. buy a membership. I was going to send you a PM with more information, but you do not have private message capability.

how easy or difficult would it be to coordinate several LT girls from a bar / gogo or would it be easier to book through DD or something for my birthday festivities.Easy! Go to any place where you can get a girl for LT and ask her if she has a sexy friend who wants to join.

However, don't assume your LT girls will make your session into a regular orgy. Most likely you will get the opportunity to sequentially fuck them where the other (s) are just watching, or more likely play with their smartphones or watch a soap series on TV.

DD Girls are arguably more used to include the other girl in their play but some have reported that their play is more "scripted" and less spontaneous.

When in Thailand I usually go to Eden Club in Bangkok (similat to DD in Pattaya) and for an ST session I enjoy that very much (it is like being a porn actor in your own xxx movie), but I would quickly get bored to have to entertain them for an LT booking.

For me ST is very much focused on the sex itself. In an LT situation I find the GFE more fun, but I wouldn't know how to manage a GFE with multiple girls at the same time.

Hello guys,

I will be in BKK for some work and decided to make a trip to Pattaya beach for some fun. I will get there early and stay one night. I would like to book a nice room no more than $250 for the night. I'm looking for a hotel bot too far from the action, guest friendly and just overall nice place.

The Hilton Pattaya had peaked my interest.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

View Talay 6 (VT6) right beside the Hilton and Central Festival Mall. Get a sea view room facing Walking Street and the Pattaya sign. 500 square foot room (48 sqm) for about $70 USD. Friendly staff. Girl friendly. Good wifi. Full kitchen. Walkout access to both Beach Road and 2nd Road.

The Hilton would be a good choice. Hard Rock and Marriott may appeal to you as well. Personally I would pick the Hilton or Marriott if I wanted a high end hotel and was only staying one night. I don't know what those hotels go for but they are less than $250/ night. Actually I'm not sure you can even find a $250/ night hotel room in Pattaya. If there is any way to stay more than one night do it.

At your budget Hilton would be the best choice, strategic location and walking distance to both beach road and second road. They had a joiner policy though just check.

Banana Boi's suggestion is a good one but if it's your first time and you are only staying one night I would choose a hotel over a condo.I'm confused because you can book VT6 through a site like hotels.com just like any other hotel. The check in is quick and a guided tour of the place from a pretty decent looking Thai girl. I just feel it's better than Hilton since I'm assuming Hilton's views from most of their rooms is blocked by VT6.

If you were budgeting $250 for the night anyways you may want to consider Wave hotel right on Beach Road, near Central Festival.

S. {snip}Actually, if you walk to Soi Buakhao and take a baht bus heading to the right (toward Sai Pattaya Dtai - Pattaya south road) the bus turns right on Dtai and goes down to 2nd road (for the same 10 B) Very short walk to WS from the corner. Going back just get on a passing baht bus and ride up to Diana get off and walk from there (have fun crossing 2nd road, though.).

At check-in there is a sign that says something about a 500 baht fee for 'unregistered guests'. What's their policy? Is it 500 extra if you get two girls back to your room or is this some new way to get hobbiests to stay elsewhere? Attached link below states its 300 baht extra if you want 2 girls in your room. So im guessing its a 200 baht increase on that charge.

http://guestfriendlyhotelsinthailand.********.com/2012/06/areca-lodge-pattaya.html

"And since the Areca Lodge is bar girl friendly you won't have any issues at all inviting one to your room whether it's for short time or long time. But they will charge 300THB if you want to invite a 3rd bar girl into your room which is not a lot of money. You can see a guest friendly confirmation from the hotel below."

Easy!

Thanks for sharing your experience about ST in DD. I am going to Pattaya on March. Definitely I will try it. As you said GFE is is more fun in ST. After the session everything will be more demanding on other ways.

Dear friend how was the attitude of the girls in threesome? Involved or passive?

Hi,

Planning a trip to Pattaya in March and was looking at intimate hotel for booking.

The name sounds raunchy! Any feedback on the hotel if anyone has stayed.

Must say this is a great forum. Have been an active reader and only now jumped into for my first post.

Surely more to follow post my sexpidition!

Dear friend how was the attitude of the girls in threesome? Involved or passive? The performance of the Devils Den ladies is most often described as mechanical. This is not necessary a bad thing as they will run through the items on your check list. They will also try and make you cum fast, but again that is not necessary a negative as you get as many pops as you can muster during the session.

I think of DD as more like sexual circuit training. Hit all the station and focus on what you want. If you have particular points of interest state them during the booking process. Be blunt and specific as they have heard it all before. I have had some great sessions there and some disappointments, but IMO DD should be tried at least once for sure.

Another piece of advice would be to pick your primary lady and have her pick her partner for better chemistry.

Hey,

Will be visiting Pattaya on 24 of March for three nights with 2 of my buddies.

Had stayed in Beachfront hotel last time around but it was kinda far around around 2 miles from walking street. Looking at a hotel which is close to WS. Offers good rooms and should be girl friendly. Any pointers.

I plan to be in Pattaya for 2 weeks in May. I've been before, quite a few years ago, but just twice and stayed at the Dusit Thani and the Sheraton.

Since this is a longer visit I tentatively booked (free cancellation up to 3 days before arrival with full refund) on Travelocity with the current 20 PC off promotion, I got a Deluxe King in the Tower for about $915 USD for 14 nights including all taxes. (If anyone wants to use this deal the code can only be used on the Mobile app and is MLOVE20 and is only valid on a few hotels).

So, a few questions:

1. Has anyone stayed at the Bayview Pattaya on Beach RD recently? What's your opinion, vs say View Talay 6 or Whitehouse Condotel. My deal includes full Buffett breakfast every day.

2. For me fast and quality wifi, a good king size bed and a great bathroom with a super nice shower are the most important things.

3. What type of clientele can one find at the Bayview? Is the safe a good one? Security?

4. The pool looks good. But in May with the rains unsure how much I will get out of it.

5. Is there a decent healthclub with treadmills (not a deal breaker).

6. Any similar suggestions for Bangkok, where I plan to spend a week.

Thanks guys for any feedback. Yes, I have RTFF quite carefully.

Dear friend how was the attitude of the girls in threesome? Involved or passive? In Eden Club the threesomes fully involve both girls.

The will both suck you dick, or one sucks and the other licks your balls or give you a rimming.

Any combination you like they can deliver: have one sucking your dick while you lick the other? Check! Fuck one while the other get licked by her friend? Check! See them both masturbating while you jerk off and come on their tits? Check! Finger one's pussy while the other sucks you to completion (CIM)? Check!

All that (and more) I have done at Eden Club in Bangkok.

I am also considering the Whitehouse Condotel and View Talay 6. Any thoughts on which is better? Do I need to book for 2 guests to avoid any joiner fee?I have never stayed at the View Talay 6 but know the Whitehouse well. I am guessing the VT6 is more upscale than the Whitehouse. Whitehouse has very nice roomy suites but those can get pricey. The Whitehouse may win out for most people on a budget. A regular room goes for about B1350 which I believe is a good bargain considering the size of the room and the hotel's outstanding location.

Can anybody here let us know if VT6 has easy access to Second Road? I often go to Big C and the soapies in that direction. Easy access to Second Rd is a must for me.

If you want the cheaper room go for the Whitehouse. If your budget isn't too tight go for View Talay. I've read lots of good things about VT6.

VT6 is a 30 m ramp down to 2nd Road. Can't be much closer. On the return baht bus route off Beach Road there is an entry gate beside the 7-11 and you have to walk about 150 m down a path and through the garage to an entry door. If you prefer to walk inside from Beach to 2nd you can walk through Central Festival.

VT6 is nice. Take advantage of the amazing sea view until construction begins this Summer.

I am seriously considering changing my current reservation and going with either View Talay 6 or Whitehosue Condotel. I have contacted both to check on their prices / special offers since I will be staying for a minimum of 14 nights and I am interested in a large 1 BR suite with a luxury bathroom, Hi speed wifi and excellent air con as my top feature requirements.

Also, I have only been to Pattaya twice, just for 2 nights and the last time it was about 15 years ago! So, I don't know that much, except I stayed at the Sheraton and the Dusit resorts before. I will want to be more budget conscious this time because I will need 2 weeks in Pattaya and a week in Bangkok.

It seems from the map that the Whitehouse Condotel is a tad closer to waking street and they also have a basic breakfast. It seems that VT 6 has better swimming pools, an upscale mall right across, but no breakfast. Also, I don't really see any pics of their bathrooms and shower areas. Comparable suites seem a bit bigger at Whitehouse Condotel based on website data on squareft / sq. Mts.

My flight is booked and paid for, so even though it's in May I want to finalize my hotel now and get it out of the way. It's been quite a few years since I've been to Asia, as lately I have been spending a lot of time in Latin America, Carib, and Hawaii. But, I have been to Asia a lot, and Thailand maybe 8-10 times, mostly for work and never more than 3 days or so during work related visits. So, this will be a distinctly different experience. Thanks to both of you and any others who have any suggestions. I will post my hotel decision and also a report after my visit. Cheers!

I am seriously considering changing my current reservation and going with either View Talay 6 or Whitehosue Condotel.Whitehouse Condotel suites are very big. Showers are huge. It is located closer to Walking Street. Breakfast is basic but served late. VT6 is probably more upscale. An Ocean view room is possible at VT 6. The views at Whitehouse are mainly awful. You won't want to look outside your window.

The only rooms with any view at all are in the very front of the building -- and that view of just of the street -- Soi 13.

VT6 is nice. Take advantage of the amazing sea view until construction begins this Summer. It seems that VT 6 condo owners are using different companies to market their rental units. I have found at least two. One of them wants me to transfer 5000 THB via PayPal to confirm the booking. And, I am about 3 months out from my arrival day in May.

Also, this same rental company is saying that I will have to pay more for any electricity and water use beyond 100 THB per day. I have no idea how much use that is and it will be hot and humid in May. How will they determine usage and excess use rate charges. Did people who used VT 6 have these same policies ?

I am yet to hear from the other VT 6 rental company.

If any of you has booked and stayed at VT 6 , could you please help me understand the above policies? Which rental company is legit? This one has a VT6 website name, but the actual rental company is Kanya Condo.

Also, between now and May if the condo owner decides to terminate, or change their rental marketing agency, what will happen to my reservation and / or deposit?

Appreciate any suggestions or advice / feedback re the above . Thanks and cheers.

Usually when you rent apartment in condo for short term like daily or weekly, electricity, water and at least one day of cleaning a week is included in the price, no extra charge for this.

On many boards I always read that people use this 2 website for VT6:

I was most happy with their excellent service. I'm sure you can get the same or similar apartments for a cheaper price elsewhere, but as you say: what will happen if the agency disappears? Better to use agencies that are already many years in this line of business and have a good track record.

I have booked the Premier Inn as well, this time for 10 nights beginning 6 March. I stayed for a similar time last year when it was the ozo hotel and found it quite good but with little or no view. Hopefully it's just as good this time with new management. The location is perfect for me although the pool on the roof is fairly small and the fridge won't make ice.

I have been advised that there is a 1000 TBH cleaning and laundry charge at the end of the rental period, a 2,200 TBH fee for standard maid services for the entire rental period, a 300 TBH fee for VAT for the rental period, and 450 TBH is deducted from the Pay Pal deposit (I assume that is a pass through of the Pay Pal fee that they have to pay Pay Pal.

Appreciate any one who has used Dance Watchers who can confIrm the above?

Thanks in advance as I have not used a condo apartment in Asia before (only in Europe and Latin America).

I have no idea what the "maid services" include. Probably not what I am thinking about. ;) Although i did read somewhere that Tik of Dancewatchers upon request arranges for a massage in your room when you arrive.

Just ask them what costs they charge. I found Dancewatchers very open and communicative.
