So it seems that the LK Metropole Hotel is the winner. Is there anyone that actually stayed there and can make a brief review before I make the booking? Yeah, tripadvisor reviews are available but I want to "hear" the ISG member point of view with all the common interest that we share.

Hi guys,

I'm planning a one week trip to Pattaya and I'm thinking to book either LK Residence or LK Metropole Hotel. As far as I understand both hotels are girl friendly which is condition #1. Also I found the Thai climate too hot and need a (clean) bathtub and both hotels have that. Also the bathtub can be interesting place when you came back with a girl for the night. The location also seems very good. I have never been in Pattaya, but it seems that around there is a lot of party streets. LK Metro, Soi Honey. Please can someone confirm me if my observation and expectations about the location are correct.

Both hotels seems perfect choice based on my criteria but what about the noise? I can not sleep when it is noisy and I'll need that to restore the lost energy So if you have been at LK Residence or LK Metropole Hotel can you comment on:

- noise.

- is it clean.

- is it a good location for the purpose of the trip that every one of us visit Pattaya. I mean libraries, theaters, galleries, etc.

Cheers,The LK hotels are top notch. In fact, have an upcoming stay booked at LK Empress next month. The hotels you mention are in the heart of LK Metro. Another option just outside LK Metro, on Second Road & Soi 10; Intimate Boutique. Very clean hotel, very guest friendly and close to all the "major attractions".

SL.I think the condo idea would be the best. Planning on bringing two girls down with me and need them to be able to come and go from the room without being stopped by reception while I'm out with some friends.

No ID check and discret back door from the parking next to the lift. But you need a double key card for you and your girls.

I'm thinking of switching my reservation for LK Empress to be shorter and switching to Wave. Can't do full since it seems like some hotels are already booked the weekend I'll be there in August. Wondering if anyone has comments about it. It will cost twice as much as Empress but does look nicer all around. Wondering what type of people stay. If mostly families / couples etc. I believe it should be guest friendly but still would like to know.

I stayed during high season and I hardly ever walked into other guests tho so don't worry about who stays there. I didn't ever eat breakfast or used swimming pool tho so when there you might get a better impression.

Yes it is girl friendly so doubt that changed. Reception (later in evening just a random security dude or so) just takes ID. Don't remember them calling in the morning tho but maybe you can request them doing so.

Now price / value wise it's ridiculously bad. I travel 7/8 months a year and always think of this place when thinking of one that's overpriced by 60%. They charge double as most other places and I thought the rooms were very average at best. Imagine sleeping in some ikea room. Felt all a bit cheap and trying bit hard and just can't see why they ask so much for the rooms, except location or so. Doubt they try to target monger market and more the hipster crowd or something that think they want something fancy (I fell for it so haha). I like to mostly only stay in upscale places but this one def felt out of place considering the amount I paid and what you get. Note also that rooms facing beach road have lot of noise coming in. Doesn't seem well insulted.

So stay there if you'd like it is a nice place with lovely staff but it isn't anything really fancy if that's what you hope for.

Anyone have recommendations for a hotel that allows 3 guests in one room without having to pay for an extra joiner? Any recommendations for a hotel that doesn't check the id's?VT6 technically allows unlimited visitors. There is building security but they are easy to avoid by walking up to the 4th floor and taking the main elevators, or using the "staff" elevators located in the garage. Honey's coffee house is a reliable agent for Vt6 rentals. Note that Vt6 is a big albatross. Even though it's smack in the middle of the action, it's size makes it seem a bit dark and isolated.

Just booked Sureena Hotel Soi Pattaya 13/2 Beach Road, for around 550 baht per night all in. Half block off Beach Road and next to Post Office. Definitely on the low end but good location. Will report after stay from mid Oct to first of November. Price on the hotel search engine website was cheaper than the Hotel's actual website by around 200+ baht.

Staying at Siam at Siam design this week. Rooms I really like. Staying in a Junior corner suite ocean view. Spacious and nice with great room cleaners (and if you tip they will do anything for you in any timeframe you wish). Girlfriendly: Yes. It is a big hotel tho and you will feel like a number here. And it's also a Chinese in- Chinese out factory. You will see them all day, every day, any time. Took 2 girls so far but was never asked for ID but I think it more depends on time / busyness of the staff. Even after midnight lot of times there are large groups being checked in so your guest and you aren't really a priority then. But of course if you want her checked in that's possible with the security on the side.

Funny thing is you get such a different experience of Pattaya here then when staying much closer to Walking street. It's almost 2 different holidays I feel. One 'bad' thing about the hotel is that it is on the wrong side of directions of the baht bus for going to walking street. So when you want to take the bus there have to go through the soi to get towards beach road. But that's a short 5 minute walk.

Wouldn't advise the hotel to people who want to take back beach road FL's quickly as it's bit of a ride to get there then. But overall I give this hotel def. The +++ and there's sometimes some great deals to be had compared to other places closer to walking.

Hi guys,

Sorry to butt in, but I was wondering if anyone had stayed at the sandy recently?, I have always stayed here when visiting Pattaya, and I noticed on google earth the restaurant has gone next door, and the bar. Hooters - has been reported as making the hotel a noisy place to stay?

So I was hoping someone could give me a and update, as I like the hotel. If anyone else can suggest a similar girl friendly one, that is quiet and convenient that would be cool.

Thanks.I stayed there in mid-June, and it was great. My first time there, and I was sufficiently pleased that I plan to stay there again when I next visit Pattaya. Had breakfast most days in the outdoor restaurant directly across the alley. All good. ID at desk as usual, but staff is great (flirted with them as I aways do, but of course they wouldn't come up to my room).

I was on Soi 3 looking for Welkom Inn yesterday and ran across a brand new hotel that just opened this past week. There isn't even a sign with the name yet. It's called Miyat or something similar. Touch up construction appears to be ongoing but they've opened up most of the floors. Definitely a luxury hotel. Rates are B3,000 a night but vary with occupancy. I'll report back about whether or not it's GF but if it is, it would be a nice alternative to Baraquda and some of the other more expensive options. It is a very impressive looking hotel, nicer than anything else I have seen here by far.

In other news I was surprised to see a Terminal 21 shopping mall being built near the circle on the north end of town. There is a large structure also being built attached to it. It looks like that will be a hotel also. It is a long way from being finished.

Stayed in Penthouse (13/4), a fun vibe but the rooms are so dated, they just don't take care of the place.

Lower end resorts like Loma are a bit far from the action.

Wave is probs beyond my price range, but looks cool?

Hard Rock doesn't give you much space for the money, and last time I was there you couldn't order room service from the cafe. But the pool is great.

I've been staying at Sunshine, but too low end.

Hilton was fun, but everything has a price and not a fun Pattaya vibe.

Mecure (the back and white one with ice bar) was okay, but again. Not worth the money and a bit far away.

Looking for cool, upscale vibe / in the center of things for around 3,500 or less. Any suggestions?

Stayed at LK Residence for 8 nights in their Superior Room. I was meant to stay at City Garden Pattaya Condo, booked through AirBnB but that room was an absolute disaster, so I booked LK Residence on the same day and moved in. I got a price of USD 55 per night which is pretty good.

With LK properties you simply cannot go wrong. Everything is good. Well appointed, large, clean, elegantly decorated rooms. Good comfortable bed with choice of pillows. Spacious bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and a WC that has a water jet (quite common in Thailand). A decent balcony, for smoking. A large fridge that is well stocked, a microwave and reasonably well stocked crockery and cutlery units. Yes, there is a safe. All the electrical work in the room can be controlled by an electronic master unit next to your bedside, so it is super convenient. Decent pool, not too big though. Very efficient and friendly staff. I had trouble with the aircon one of the days and the staff resolved things very quickly.

The biggest drawback of this place is there is no restaurant, so calling in room service is out. But with a location like Soi Diana you are never too far from some good places to eat.

Lee's Diner serves fantastic Thai and European food. Thanks to Banana Boi for the recommendation.

There is always Kiss Food and Drinks.

Bronx Pizza is great VFM.

Beefeater Steakhouse, Longhorn Steakhouse for some great steaks.

Tons of street food.

Some sports bars on LK Metro.

You can do your laundry at Kim's Laundry that is up Soi Denmark, They charge per piece but it won't set you back by much. Pharmacy, 7-11 and Family Marts are all over the place. ATMs / Money Exchange right at your doorstep. One of the best clean massage joints, Paanan, is located on the street level of the hotel. Bars are everywhere. Almost all girls know the place and have no trouble coming over on their own.

Getting around is very easy. Baht bus up North on 2nd road. Baht bus down South on Soi BuaKhaow. Moto-taxis are available at all times. Uber works just fine and is usually cheaper than the moto-taxi if there are more than 2 people travelling.

All in all, I think this is great place to stay and I would love to be back here soon.

Deluxe Room with a pool view. Agoda rate of $40 USD per night plus taxes and fees. Nice king size bed. Great view of the pool from balcony. 199 breakfast buffet option. Lots of couples and kids so not exactly a hobbiest hotel, but they had no issues with girl visitors. Standard ID check and phone call system. Probably won't return since it's out of the way. Have to walk thru Avenue to get to Second Road to go North or all the way south to Beach Road to get to WS. Also getting back from either is inconvenient.

My favorite hotel is W14. Pretty much on WS and easy to get to Second Road to get to Soi 6.

First timer here to SEA and just did a walk in to this place as it was advertised as "adult only" and around the corner to the entrance to walking street. Hmmm, first impression is this place looks like a love hotel out of Alice in Wonderland story. I just flew in from Siem Reap so really did not care where I spent the first few nights. Asked for basic room at 1450 a night, walk-up rate. 2000 deposit and got my key. The room, man I've never seen so many angles, curves and knickknacks in a hotel room before. It kinda felt like I was in a cave at first. Everything works, the food is good, service with a smile so on that front no issues. Doubtful I would stay here again but it can definitely grow on you if you view it as a "themed" room like some love motels have.

Thanks Rob.My opinion it is hype. The pool is really small and no girls around as the club attached to hotel is closed for renovations. Maybe that is were the girls came from. I would not call the pool a pool. Its the smallest hotel pool I have ever seen and if your room is the one I think it is, it fronts the pool with a sliding glass door from your room. When I did a walk in, they basically showed me all room types and that pool room was kinda creepy as you basically have any big butt geezer who wants to take a dip in plain view of your room. I am in a deluxe room at 1495 baht a night. A decent breakfast is included with every room.

The outdoor pool is a rather new addition (added 2-3 years ago) and is small but good enough for dipping, along with a small but decent (afternoon) sun deck.

There is also a more extensive indoor pool setup; that is probably where the public shenanigans you heard about took place.

Aloha all,

Quick review for y'all.

Check in easy.

Modern and all around clean facility except for the ginormous key you have to lug around everywhere.

All tile floors. Cold A/C. Mini fridge. No microwave. Nice flat screen TV with plenty of channels, some static though.

Bed is on the hard side as are the pillows. Fine for me though.

Clean balcony. No view from 3rd floor, maybe from higher up. 8 floors total and nice pool on the roof.

The pool is nice except that it really burns my eyes, goggles recommended for laps.

The gym is adequately equipped but no A/C! Brutal!

Bathroom has nice toilet with high pressure crack attack hose thing. Shower is a nice relaxing rain type and open glass wall / natural tile type. Perfect for watching your lady shower whilst reading ISG reports on the bog.

Location is one street north of Soi 6 and a stones throw from the soapies near soi2 area. Sabai, Honey2, Rasputin.

Thought breakfast was included but not. So price is 198 buffet and omelette stand. Meh.

Guest / girl friendly with no guest fees. They call before my ladies come up, hold ID, and call when they leave. Nice!

Hope this helps.

Also, I booked on agoda through a YouTuber's link to help support his content based on one of his video reviews. Don't forget our hard working foot soldiers on the street!

Changed from Penthouse Hotel over to this place on soi 7 above the gogo bar. I booked on Agoda for 3 nights at total of 70 us, insanely budget priced. I was not expecting much even though the pictures were decent. Your lead to the back of the gogo to enter a locked door that your room key wand opens. Hallways are wide and newly done. For some reason I was expecting something cramped and narrow. The room and bathroom are both of nice size and budget furnished. I felt like I was getting a great deal for the money if you can handle the gogo downstairs at night. I was on the second floor and you can hear it but it was not disturbing the first floor would be a different matter. I would stay here again and do recommend for those who like their ladies just a downstairs walk away.

I wonder if anyone knows a girlfriend hotel close to walking street that someone can recommend.

Yes I know I can read the forums report. But I would be grateful if anyone could provide information.

Thanks for your help.Yes, all hotels in Pattaya are girl friendly. Some might charge an extra 500 - 100 baht for the second girl (in case you are interested in threesomes).

If you CAN read the forum reports, then why wait for any member to give any more information?

Do some homework.

Just received an email from Hotel Baraquda that there is an 3200 baht for a mandatory dinner over NYE. Is this normal for NYE?

Thanks.I remember a few yrs ago I stayed at Siam Sawasdee on Soi Buakhao over NYE and it was mandatory to buy the dinner there for that night as they put on a dancing show as well. I didn't want to, but had to, as it was really hard to find other accomodation over that period.

Out of curiosity, I just checked the hotel availability in Pattaya on NYE. Over half booked. Places either sold out and some have sky high prices. I'm showing Baraquda as sold out so if you can still get a room and only have to pay a 3200 baht surcharge for a hopefully decent dinner I'd be all over that. for example Hard Rock is 14,000+ baht for 1 night. The best deal I see remaining is Areca Lodge for 2000 baht. I thought Areca did the NYE dinner surcharge in the past but I guess they aren't this year. Advise to anyone is to book now with free cancellation, if possible. Yes, the mandatory New Year's eve dinner charge is common.

Thanks to Banana Boi for the recommendation..I also stayed at LK Residence, and thought it was great value. No fees if you bring a girl in. I will be staying there the next time that I am in Pattaya.

My Booking.com reservation says 1 person max.In Thailand, Hotels have this shitty rule to mention the number of persons will be staying at the time of booking and while checking-in. I don't know what's the reason behind this, but it's always a wiser choice to mention 2 persons if you are planning to bring over a lady.

At most of the places while checking-in, when you say 2 persons are going to stay they would ask you about the second person to which you could answer that - "She would join later". No questions asked further, however they would collect the passport / ID card of the lady while going in.

For your case, while checking-in say you are on double occupancy. Should be fine irrespective of what you have mentioned in Booking.com.

During the day you're steps away from Beefeater, Calle, Longhorn, Patrick's, etc. Someone can correct me but all open until midnight(?). All side by side and all have good food, especially Calle. If you have reservation for two guests, is there still a charge?I think it's not possible to make a reservation for two guests when the room is for double occupancy only.
You would have to find and reserve a room that is suitable for triple occupancy (eg. with 1 double bed and 1 single bed, or with 3 single beds).

I am making a return to Pattaya after my only trip there 7 years ago. Alas the place I stayed then, Roo Bar in Walking Street, is no longer. I would like a recommendation as to both hotel and area. I don't need to be in the zoo of Walking Street again and if I remember correctly I found better bars and girls further east down the beach anyway and I know it is just a short baht bus trip to go back and forth to the different sois.

That being said I am trying to pick an area to stay. I was thinking either around Sio 13 or Soi 7/8 with me leaning towards 7/8. I don't need a fancy hotel with a pool (although it would be nice) but am looking for something inexpensive with a shower and a bed, and close to some action with friendly girls. For reference if you are familiar with Angeles City, which is my usual destination, I stay down Perimeter Road on Malabanias to get a cheap room and hit the bars in that area, never even venturing to Fields.

However, one of the main reasons I am returning to Pats is I miss the bars where the girls wear a mini-skirt, no underwear, and nothing else or even all nude so I want to be near some bars with that kind of dress code.

I would appreciate any recommendation as to hotel and area. And for the hotels, what is the best way to reserve? Email them, use their online booking form or just show up? I plan to be there early December.

Thanks.

Thanks.Soi 13 is a good option. Inn House is clean and cheap. The hotel opposite, Sandy Spring more expensive, but larger pool. (some nice from Hooters at night) Use agoda or trivago and go to the map and see prices. Remember to book for 2 persons (same price as 1 person as breakfast is not included) Both girlfriendly and no fee. In Soi 12 with beachfront you have a more upgraded hotel LK The Empress.

Travelodge Pattaya is located close enough and has a good price. More importantly its got good reviews on Agoda and other sites.

However I couldn't find anything about it here. Can some one shed some light before I book for 4 nights?

I had the following in mind: LK Metor / Empress / Areca but either they are sold out or a little bit beyond budget.

In case I missed earlier reviews, pardon my bad search skills.

Check out Whitehouse Condotel on Soi 13 at Second Road. An even better location than Travelodge (although they are close to each other) and good reviews from myself and others on this website. Book through the hotel website or send them an email. B1350 gets you a nice room with very large bathroom and a huge shower for two. Breakfast (not a buffet) included. GF of course.

The hotel's quoted rates include breakfast and all taxes. When booking through other websites I. E. Agoda, taxes are not included which means you pay a bit more. The superior room is their cheapest room and I am fine with that room choice. Best value IMHO.

May I suggest the areas around Soi Bakauo (spelling). There are some fine, cheaper than Hotel, guest houses available. China Garden at Steak and Co. On Soi Lengkee have good sized safe clean rooms. In September I was paying BHT 600 per night. They have a limited number of rooms with Jacuzzis in, if that is your thing. Safe in room, WiFi, key FOB entry through 2 doors, 24 hour reception etc etc.

There are three guest houses on Soi 15 at the rear of Avenue, Hideaway, Boomerang and Beer Garden, each of which I have stayed in during the last 3 years or so, each I would have no problems recommending.

You may wish to try Arecca LodgeHotel on Soi diana. Never stayed there myself, but reviews are quite good. In September they were advertising rooms at 799 BHT.

Earlier I asked for opinions on a couple different hotels, well I ended up staying at Sea Me Spring Too with my girlfriend. Since everyone was so helpful I wanted to give back a little. My overall thoughts on this hotel are good. The location was nice: close to the beach, shopping malls, food, and baht bus pickup / drop off locations. Even with the new hotel built in front of this one the view from the rooftop pool was still fantastic, we both enjoyed the pool very much. The room was pretty standard but clean (although the window to the bathroom was kind of weird) and my only complaint would be a little more English TV channels, this is a small thing and I understand the limited options. The hotel is guest friendly but I didn't bring anyone else back to my room. The price was reasonable and I would stay here again if I return to Pattaya.

Anybody have any issues or suggestions with these?I have never stayed at the Eastiny Seven but have stayed at Sunshine on Soi 8 several times and like it fine. Things I like about it is it is more or less an equidistant walk to Beach Road 1 and Beach Road 2, so makes it just as easy to catch a blue baht bus going either direction through the area. Has a decent breakfast buffet included. Two pools, one on the roof, one covered at ground level if it is raining or you and your girl don't want to be exposed to the sun. I much prefer the rooms in the "newer" section where the elevators are accessible on the opposite side of the ground level pool, which if you and your girl enter the hotel that way, around the right side of the pool and not through the glass doors and the lobby, you don't have to deal with any ID presentation issues. That might only be a good idea if you know the girl fairly well already. Otherwise, you can simply enter the hotel through the lobby and do the ID check thing. I do ask for and insist on a non-smoking room because sometimes they try to pawn off a smoking room that has simply been sprayed with neutralizer instead.

Pool big enough to do exercise swimming while getting a sun-tan (not shaded). Reception told me you could bring as many girls as you wanted but only one at a time, otherwise some joiner fee was due. Room promoted at 800 bath today. Made a good impression as a budget mongers' hotel.

Thanks in advance for any replies.Never stayed there myself but the beach end of Soi 10 is a good choice. Very central location and quiet because there are no bars in the vicinity. You will have some traffic noise from Beach Road though.

The hotel is brand new, like most hotels in Soi 10. Should be girl friendly, it would surprise me if it's not. Gets reasonably good reviews on Tripadvisor.

I thought it was the website company to provide a reliable owner, not the customer to find one.I don't think the website company checks and visits every apartment. What makes a reliable owner are the reviews from the customers, so if you want to book an apartment from Airbnb you need to read through all the reviews.

What problems did you face with Airbnb? I was planning to book a condo in Pattaya for a mongering trip this time.Airbnb can be fantastic, OK, or terrible. I have had all 3 experiences.

Remember that many airbnb are simply individuals who are trying to make extra cash. If you like what you get and the price you paid, life is great. But if there is a problem, chances are it will not be taken care of in a timely manner.

There were 2 guys that I met in Pattaya who checked into Airbnb places where the A/C. Broke. They were stuck without A/C for days. Thailand is a hot country and it's hard to sleep without A/C.

Having said that, I met many others who were satisfied with their Airbnb places.

My advice is that if you are a bit picky, better to go to a well reviewed hotel. If you don't like your hotel room, or if something breaks, they will move you (unless they are sold out).

Pattaya was one of them, where the apartment was simply not maintained well. That said, Uncle Volodya had an apartment in the same condo and his unit was terrific.

You got that right. I have been using AirBnB successfully for years together now and I have had only a couple of poor experiences. Pattaya was one of them, where the apartment was simply not maintained well. That said, Uncle Volodya had an apartment in the same condo and his unit was terrific.
Could be interesting to know which condo is, so we can avoid it! Thanks.

Does anyone know if Baywalk Residence charges extra if you take two girls together? I know it is guest friendly and no issues if you bring a girl. But curious to know before I book if two are ok or they charge a joiner fee.

Anyone ever stayed at the Amari Nova? Its in an odd location but they have an amazing double room suite for $83 prepaid and websites are saying its guest friendly. Agoda lists that room as 6 guests allowed in the suite, Amari's website says 5 guests.

Hi folks,

I'll be coming to Thailand for a mongering trip in February and looking for suggestions.

Please help a fellow ISG monger.

Any AirBnB good owner or hostelworld recommendations where:

1. Drinking and smoking allowed.

2. Girls allowed without any fuss or extra charge.

3. Complementary Breakfast.

Thanks.

Nice place for you to consider.

Great breakfast included and served until 11:00 am. Very nice room. Nice staff. Girl friendly with the front desk collecting her ID before allowed upstairs; I'm happy to tip for that post session call before she can get her ID.

Drawback was lousy Wi-Fi that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I also had noticably slow cellular data coverage in that hotel and some other places in Pattaya. I was usually connected to True, which was the strongest signal I could find. 3 G.

It was a long walk to Walking Street or to Soi 6 or to the soapies. Difficult walk on the land side of Beach Road (narrow, crowded, irregular surface, cross streets), not too bad on the beach side.

That side of Beach Road is the only safe walking stretch of road in Pattaya. Taking a bus bath to walking street is not so great: you get off on the wrong side of the turning and then what? Never being safe as a pedestrian is a major downside of living in a country like Thailand IMHO.

Earlier I asked for opinions on a couple different hotels, well I ended up staying at Sea Me Spring Too with my girlfriend. Since everyone was so helpful I wanted to give back a little. ... The hotel is guest friendly but I didn't bring anyone else back to my room. The price was reasonable and I would stay here again if I return to Pattaya. What was the price?

Stayed here last week. A good hotel for the price (1500 - 1700 B) per night. Located at a 2 min walking distance to Soi Buakhao, 5 minutes to LK and may be 10-15 minutes to WS. Girl friendly, absolutely no issues there. They do take the ID and check with you when the girl leaves with a phone call. We found the roof top bar and restaurant plus pool a great place to unwind and relax in the morning time. Sometimes breakfast buffet time gets noisy and crowded but service is always good and though the menu is limited, it tasted great. Will recommend and thanks to everyone for the feedback on this forum which helped me book this hotel.

Before moving to Travelodge, stayed here for couple of days. Though neatly kept, the age shows. Seems to be a renovated hotel with large room keys! Hated carrying those around all day.

We mostly saw senior citizens with golf gear. A very quiet hotel with a good location though. Nothing to complain about but for the same price point, I would choose Travelodge over this hotel. Good breakfast though! Loved those toasts and pancakes with ham / egg omelette.

At the reception desk there is a box for you to drop the keys in when you leave the hotel. When you return to the hotel, give the receptionist your room number and she gives you the room key. You should never carry the key outside the hotel under any circumstances. If the key is lost or stolen, somebody could use the key to open your room door and steal from you. Always leave this or any key with your room number on it at the reception desk. Of course this applies to every hotel that provides keys with the room number on it.

I have posted favorable reviews of the Whitehouse here for years but I have failed to mention that the clientele at the Whitehouse is older (40's-60's and up). That has never bothered me but I know some people may not like that. I'm glad you mentioned it.

Sureena Hotel is an excellent choice for the budget minded. Located half a bock off Beach Road on oi 13/2, it has a myriad of massage parlors, cafes and even a 7-11 conveniently located across the street. There is also a Post Office located a few doors down. At the moment, there is construction going on with a new elevator being installed, so noise during daytime hours can be loud at times. The rooms are okay with the exception of the windowless, interior rooms which resemble, frankly, cheap, 2 dollar working girl accommodations. Avoid those rooms. The A/C worked fine for me and there also was a refrigerator. The hot water supply was adequate as well. They are chica friendly with no chica fees, but only max of 2 chicas, or threesomes are allowed. 3 girls, or more, are forbidden. The day manager explained to me, as best she could in her broken English, something about prior fuckfests involving shrieking, skid marks, etc. And the like. Anyway, it is a great location and one can actually pull freelancers just by sitting on the front stoop and chatting with the passing girls, especially late at night, when as business dwindles on Beach Road, dispirited Little Darling Spinners often wander to the 7-11 in search of refreshment (and perhaps solace when weighing themselves at the 1 Baht weight / fortune machine in front of the 7-11) and you can call out offers such as 600 Baht? 500 Baht? Even perhaps 400 baht? What can they say, it's 2 am, not like it's a bull market of buyers. I did try for the mythical $14.75 offer for academic curiosity, but found no takers. Alas.

Sure thing, next time if I stay there will definitely drop off the keys at the reception. I had a brain freeze probably to not think about the chances of losing the key and someone getting access to the room quite easily. Not too concerned about the age group really. The place was girl friendly as well, saw quite a few gentlemen having breakfast with their LT friends.

I stayed at Whitehouse in October for a week. Rate 1350/1600 Baht depending on season Inc breakfast.

Then moved next door to Dynasty. I paid 1200 Baht excluding breakfast.

Dynasty has larger rooms which seem to have been refurbished, a big reception area and a terrace with tables at the front for smoking.

Both are, to me, good value.

I like Soi 13. Quiet but not isolated.

Enjoy,

Somehow they manage to keep everything in good condition. What might help is that the walls and closets are made of solid dark wood, which may be less 'vulnerable'.

I brought a 20 yo who looked more like an 18 yo and did not have any problems.

Earlier at the time of check-in the front desk lady explained in great length about bringing girls, need for ID, etc and did not mention at anytime it is 21+ , so we knew what to expect.

However they do not allow non-Thai girls as ST / LT guests. Atleast that's what I was told. So if you are intent on bringing any EE or Afro chicks you may be left holding the short end of the straw.

Hi guys,

Been reading through the various Thailand forums. Have RTFF. Have my only second ever punting trip coming up in Feb. First one was Phnom Penh.

Am planning to head to Pattaya and have booked hotel vista on beach road for about 4 nights. Wanted to know if anyone had any prior experience here? It looked good on agoda and tripadvisor reviews are also pretty good. Thought I'd check here anyway.

Am planning to head to Pattaya and have booked hotel vista on beach road for about 4 nights. This is actually a pretty good find. It's actually not on Beach Road. It's on Soi 4. Soi 4 is a 'dead' soi. All I remember on it is the gay massage parlor near 2nd Road. No problem you're within walking distance to the soapies which is recommended ONCE and to Soi 6. I assume you're getting a DTAC data plan at 7-11 when you arrive. Wifi rating for the hotel is bad. I recommend you to contact the hotel regarding their girl policy just to be safe.

I was in Pattaya a couple of weeks earlier and was put up at Tej Palace. I guess it's on Soi 16 or 19. It's an Indian hotel and they also have a restaurant serving Indian food. Nothing Hi-fi and I wanted something cost effective which it is. Decent rooms and average food. No complimentary breakfast either. One advantage was that the lunch I had was added to the bill which I could pay using my credit card.

This is at a 10 minutes walking distance from Walking Street.

Superior rooms were nice at the Max and they also posted a sign explaining two guests were allowed, free of charge. It got a bit noisy one night, when one of the clubs hired a DJ to set up right in the street. But, otherwise I liked the location and will check out Sureena when I'm in Patts again. However, other destinations in SE Asia are calling me now.

Are they close enough that both can be done?Hi Monger,

I have my first trip coming to Thailand soon and every question you have asked is answerable in the forum or by common sense. Any tourist web page will give you the weather you can expect when you plan to visit, for me its not an issue because I'm not into outside sex. Research will answer how many girls are available at any given times of the year. If you look at Google maps you can see the distance between Pattaya and Bangkok and where does your plane land? Once you establish the distance between the two cities you can decide on how you spend your holiday.

Mate as we say in Australia, get of your arse and have a look!

Good luck,

Rob.

If a girl complains about this you have made a poor selection. I always stay near Second Road and have never had a girl complain. I prefer hotels closer to Second Rd rather than Beach Rd. It's easier to return to a Second Rd hotel via songthaew than Beach Rd from WS late at night. On some sois the distance between Second Rd and Beach Rd is a bit far for our high heeled friends.I think any plans to walk more then 4 blocks with a girl at night is a bit far. Firstly I would want to be back at the room ASAP to play, secondly you don't want any mood ruined by walking to far because from my experience Asian girls hate walking, and thirdly if it is a money thing maybe you should save a few more dollars before you go.

My opinion.

Thanks,

Rob.

Hi all,

It'll be my first time visiting Pattaya next week. I have read through many of th FRs but can't seem to find any information for a girl friendly hotel that also has smoking rooms.

I have visited the hotel websites but as usual none provide a clear message with regards to smoking. I liked the look of Siam at Siam but I received an email from them stating they do not have any smoking rooms.

Any help with a girl friendly and smoking friendly room will be much appreciated.

New to this forum but will post my report on Pattaya upon my return home.

Cheers.

Cheers.Hi TT, welcome to the forum. Most hotels in Pattaya are girl friendly. A search using those terms will throw up many sites with lists of hotels.

For smoking I would suggest getting a room with a balcony, many hotels in the area are non-smoking but provide an ashtray for smoking on the balcony.

Are they close enough that both can be done? How long will you be going? 3 days, 1 week, 1 month? Are you an experienced punter? What kind of scene are you looking for?

You will get the best response on this MB if you provide more information, and show that you already did some research. Examples in italics:

What is the best time of the year to visit? Weather should be mild and girls should be plenty. I am thinking April/May to avoid the rainy season. Does this fit my criteria?.

Also this is my first trip ever, what would you recommend Bangkok or Pattaya? I am more interested in massage shops and beer bars, and less interested in freelancers and gogo's. My budget for the ladies is 4,000 baht per day, and I want it to go as far as possible..

Are they close enough that both can be done? Given that I will only have 1 week I want to try both if possible. What is the most convenient transfer method between the two cities?.

Stayed 4 nights during Christmas holidays, this is my second stay over here.

As always the hotel never disappoints, good location and nice rooms. However, there are few things I didn't like this time I would like to highlight.

1 - While checking-in during evening, I told them I was expecting a guest at 10 pm. The reception asked me to comedown and escort the guest when she comes. I told them I was tired and looking for a quick nap before the night starts, thus requested to send the guest to my room but they didn't agree and mentioned that I needed to sign the guest entry form when she comes. To this, I encountered to sign the guest entry form in advance since I didn't want to come down due to tiredness but they refused.

It'd be a great help if they can address this matter.

2 - I had to book a taxi for Bangkok for which made some local calls since my mobile balance was almost finished. To my surprise they charged me 100 bahts for three local calls, each of them lasting from 2-5 minutes. A rip-off IMO. I was in the assumption that local calls were free of charge. Nevermind, I learned my lesson.

Mark my words, never make calls from hotel phone and don't use their laundry service. It's a rip-off.

Breakfast was nice, 1000 bahts deposit they returned while checking-out. Overall, it's a nice hotel in medium budget. I feel their business is a bit dull these days due to which some nice promotions are going on.

I've never stayed in a hotel in Thailand where you have to sign a form for guests. In some Hotels for the safety of guest visitors have sign and leave a ID At the reception and when leaving you can collect it. So the guests won't steal or leave without you being present when leaving at the reception.

I've never stayed in a hotel in Thailand where you have to sign a form for guests.People seem to be using the words "guest" (global term) and "joiner" (more a Thailand term) interchangeably, where they have quite different status as far as the hotel is concerned:

Guests are registered to the room. They have charging privileges to the room account. They can request a room key at the front dest.

Joiners are someone who is visiting you at the hotel. Technically they should be in your presence at all times. As far as the hotel is concerned they are not staying there, but hotels want to log them in for security purposes.

I've never stayed in a hotel in Thailand where you have to sign a form for guests. As mentioned in previous replies, some hotels follow the practice of logging guest / joiner details. In Areca Lodge, they note all details of guest, keep a copy with them and give one to the guest / joiner. The guest has to present the copy while leaving the hotel to collect her ID card. Green as of December '17. No problems at all. However, the walls of the room seem to be paper thin with a lot of unwanted noise coming in from the adjoining rooms, corridor etc. Why I am mentioning this is because it can be quite irritating especially when you are trying to catch some sleep. Would advice some caution in this regard. In so far as room amenities, cleanliness etc. Is concerned, have to say it was all of nice standard. No issues in this regard.

So I am taking off for my first high season trip in four days. My low season trip in Sept I noticed prices got lower the last week or few days. Due to plans not being set in stone in regards to a Hua Hin trip I hadn't booked a room uet. Today I learned why it's called high season. Duh. Siam Siam and a few others I had my eye on from last trip doubled in price and / or sold out. My BKK room at four points sold out too.

My question is this. I'd like something a little nicer than LK empress and Areca. Close to walking street. Preferably with a balcony and a pool bar would be a bonus. GF obviously.

I stayed at the Hilton last time but it's a bit too expensive. 330 right now. Avani would be a great fit but they now have a big joiner fee and room is pretty pricey. Any ideas?

Any ideas?I just quickly checked for check-in 4 days from now. From what I can see lots of hotel availability and prices don't seem that bad. I see Hilton at 6700 baht. Siam Bayshore steps from Walking Street for 2900 baht. A bit further out but still on baht bus route there is the luxury Dusit Thani at 3700 baht. Another high end hotel is Royal Cliff for about the same price 5 minutes from Walking Street if you have a motorbike. ISG favorite Baraquda is 3200 baht and very convenient for Walking Street and LK Metro. If your budget is lower PM me with your exact dates and I will find something within your budget.

Banaboi, yeah I that may of seemed a little bit exaggerated. My list of GF hotels I gathered last trip didn't have a whole lot of different hotels listed. None of the ones why'all mentioned except Barracuda. That Royal cliff looks really nice. I'm going to check that one out eventually either way. Wow! Seems the baywalk is the winner for me. The only problem I had was my room's floor was so highly polished that it was very slippery in stocking feet.

You may or may not like the location. It is a long walk to both Soi 6 and to Walking Street, but both are doable.

I could not relate to a prior comment that somebody wanted a nicer hotel.

I believe the original poster has already stayed at LK Empress and wants something nicer. Royal Cliff is the nicest hotel I have stayed at in Pattaya. More of a resort like Dusit Thani. Your best bet is likely Baraquda for convenience to Walking Street and a nice room.

I concur with others that the average Baywalk room is not nicer than the average LK room. The 60+ sqm rooms in some of the LK hotels are quite nice.

Have stayed at Baraquda which was excellent. Close to WS and very nice rooms and facilities. Stayed also at Siam Bayshore which had ok rooms and nice facilities. It was right on WS so great location. Lately have been staying at At Mind just near Soi 6. Great location and well priced. Good rooms but beds a littke hard. Good pool and facilities. All three hotels are GF. Am back in Pattaya next week and have again booked At Mind. Cannot resist it being so close to soi 6.

Thanks for the tips in this thread, I've stayed in Baraquda for a few nights and I'm really pleased with it. The only thing is the furniture seemed to be a bit dated (and also the wardrobe was rather small), but overall the experience was very nice. Super-friendly staff, had my room ready at 1 pm, and since I (unbeknown to me) have a silver status in the accorclub, also gave me a late checkout until 3 pm (couldn't do any later). Which was very handy as my flight was departing in the evening, and I only got back from Insomnia at 7 am anyway.

A girl I took from Insomnia spent good few minutes being amused by the concept of the in-room shower (as in Baraquda the shower is separated from the main room by a glass partition, rather than being in a separate room). They also called me when she was leaving to check if everything is ok, which I find really nice and gives me a peace of mind.

Its not cheap, but highly recommended.

I've never been to Pattaya before so have been doing my share of rtff.

I'm looking for:

- oceanfront or at least ocean view.

- walking distance to nightlife.

- upper end / somewhat fancy.

- balcony.

- GF 18+ Ideally 2 girls at once

$ not too big of a deal. Up to $200 USD a night is fine.

From what I've read my best bet is going to be LK Empress. Can someone confirm? (Or offer a better solution).

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Thanks in advance for your feedback. As far as I am concerned, Hilton Pattaya is the only real upscale hotel but it's like 15 minutes walking to Wakking Street. And I don't know if you can get 2 in at one time.

The LK hotels have a 'wanna be ‘ Renassiance pretentiousness (on the outside) which to me looks poorly executed. Ie cheesy.

But for views from the restaurants, pool and connected to the no 1 mall in Pattaya, I think it is very good. You'the have to make sure you are booking ocean view. And I don't know about smoking.

Priority: Centralised location, girl friendly (no joiner fee), upper middle category (around 3500 Indian rupees per day is my budget). This is my first trip to Thailand and my friends just gave their confirmations for this trip. So its an urgent request.

Thanks in advance for the support in hope that seniors and others here will help a fellow monger.

I don't believe anybody here has ever published a list of hotels that are 2 girl friendly. I would suggest emailing the hotel of your choice and asking them directly.

And now a word about location. It seems all first timers worry about the walking distance to walking street (WS). Stay very close to either Second Road or Beach Road in Pattaya and you will be happy. Being very close to Soi Buakow is ok too but I much prefer hotels located next to or on Second or Beach Road. Don't worry about distance to WS. Pattaya's baht bus system operates 24 hours and is amazingly convenient and cheap. Hop on a baht bus and you can get to WS and / or shopping malls in minutes for 10 baht (US thirty cents).

After spending a disastrous night at Page 10 on Soi 10 I went online and booked two nights here. It gets an 8. 2 at bookings. When I came walking up to the hotel I was a bit worried, it looks kinda seedy from the outside but the room is really nice and built with mongers in mind (seriously, no love swings, but a great bed, mood lighting, windows into the shower blah blah blah) super clean room, very nice people. It was a little pricey on short notice I'm paying 140 US for two nights but not expensive by any stretch.

It's on soi 8 about 1/2 block from the beach.

They require that visitors register and the lady who checked me in (Annie, very nice) said they got to be a minimum of 20 years old.

I haven't spent a night yet but my room doesn't point to the bars so I think it will be ok, but if not I'll update.

Noise update: I'm in the back and there is some bar noise but not bad.

Tweet tweet is a great hotel. Just don't bring a girl under 20. They won't let her in. I found out the hard way when my 18 year old wasn't allowed to stay.

What's wrong with page 10? The rooms are very nice.

Edit. I see you were warned beforehand by staff.

Here was a run down of my problems.

Internet down for more than 20 hours, I was able to get what I needed done using my phone as a hotspot but that's a pain.

The A / C temp wouldn't go up. It blew exactly the same temp air when set to 18 as it did when set to 25, it was either too warm or freezing in the room.

I'm not a drunkard, I wanted to go to bed at 12. Those clubs across the alley are LOUD, sleep was impossible. I think somebody that hits the town partying wouldn't be affected by this because they would get to the room after the clubs closed. I had to stay up past 2 (for the troll that likes to snark everybodies posts on this thread I didn't get up and go out because I didn't want to. I was tired and wanted to go to bed).

The king sized bed was two single beds shoved together, that's a pet peeve of mine.

When I couldn't sleep I thought I would take a bath, the stopper in the tub was broke it wouldn't fill up.

The shower had a big rain shower head and a wand. The big rain thing didn't work.

There was somebody else's hair in the sink.

There was some issue with the plumbing. Whenever somebody flushed their toilet or used the shower the noise coming out of my shower drain was enough to wake me up (for that troll, I'm not a light sleeper, it was really fucking loud).

When I went to the front desk at 3 am to beg to have my room changed the guy at the front desk laughed at me. Maybe it was one of those laughter to cover the shame things but it really pissed me the fuck off at 3 am when I couldn't sleep.

I think that was everything.

This hotel was recommended to me by a guy who travels a lot and knows Pattaya, I really think it was my turn to have everything turn to shit and that most people would be ok there.

Yes, the desk at the Tweet place was clear about the age thing, I asked what age needs to be on the ID because I don't do Buddha dates and she was nice enough to write it for me.

Here was a run down of my problems. Thanks for the info, I'm booked in there mid March and this won't do. I'll stay a night and if it's too bad then check out and find somewhere else. For what I'm paying, I expect something decent and that hotel is supposed to be a 4 star albeit run down. I'm going to look for a backup in the same area, maybe VT6.

Hi All.

We returned about 10 days ago from Pattaya and stayed at the Penthouse hotel. Overall it was what we expected and you couldn't get a better location regarding Walking Street and the proximity to the Baht Buses was great. Starting to plan our next adventure and would like to stay somewhere different but not wanting to waste time and energy walking from walking street with our girls can anyone tell me how late the Baht Buses run? I should have noticed but checking out buses at 2 to 4 am wasn't exactly on top of my agenda.

The only reason I don't want to repeat at the Penthouse is that my wife wanted to video call and when I'm supposedly away on business I don't think the theécor of the Penthouse would amuse her!

Thanks in advance.

LOL. I loved the video chat issue. I can relate. Same issue here, the SO wanted to video chat while I stayed there and I scrambled to act like my video wasn't working. No can stay there due to that and it was really only good for a fun party night with a girl that you want to just fuck using all of the room amenities. Not a place to spend the night in my opinion.

Hey fellas,

New to the site, but I'd like to thank everyone for the great info I've come across so far!

Planning my 1st trip to Pattaya and wondering what your opinions are about Areca Lodge Vs. Siam at Siam Hotel?

Areca seems like a safe choice because of the location, but Siam at Siam is nice as hell and so damn close to Soi 6 LOL.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

.I wouldn't recommend Areca Lodge in terms of location, stayed there once and never again. You leave your room with the idea of going somewhere and find it takes ten minutes just to get off the hotel grounds. Then its another good walk to get to a baht bus. Great location if you plan on taking girls from LK metro or spend your days at one of their three swimming pools.

On two occasions, I had problems in Pattaya for bringing in more than one guest (girl) to my room without additional joiner fee for the 3rd guest (2nd girl). I was alone but had the rooms booked for two guests, as always. Only at Penthouse, I was able to bring in two girls at my room at the same time without any additional charge. Having bitter experiences from the two occasions (one being Aya Boutique, other I don't recollect the hotel name exactly) I never tried this to other hotels except Penthouse.

Any suggestions from fellow mongers about hotels at the beach road or even at the second road, who would not mind a 3rd guest (two girls at the same time) joining at the room. I read through the last 5 pages but did not quite get the answer. Would appreciate your help in switching form age-old Penthouse to any new places for my next trip coming end of this month.

Cheers, TFE.

There are often many questions about bringing 2 girls to a room. Have you guys tried booking rooms with 3 guests rather than 2? I'm certain not every hotel will have an added fee booking for 3 rather than 2 persons. Or is it hotels are still stopping you guys from bringing 2 girls at once even if you book rooms for 3 people?

Cheers, TFE.Hotel Max on Soi 13/2 just up the block from the post office. They even had a sign on the desk stating that only two girls are free in the room, presumably meaning there is a joiner for the third, fourth and fifth girl.

I liked the location because it was right off Beach Rd and I pulled some girls off there and was in the room in less than 5 minutes. Its also cheap but reasonably comfortable in the superior rooms.

My quick report:

- Best Beach Villa on Soi 4 or Soi 5 - good clean hotel, good rooms. I like it there. No problems at all. There was a big construction yard oposite to the hotel but there was no loud noise during my stay. Bring a freelancer there, no joiner fees. I met her in the lobby, she just leave her ID on the reception.

- LK Metropole. Again good hotel, very nice rooms. No problems at all, everything was good. Bring another freelancer, she came directly to my room. I did not pay extra to the hotel for the visiting girl.

I'm planning my next trip to Pattaya and this time I want something between Soi 7 and Soi 13. Looking at the map at agoda I found LK Mansion which is a little bit outside of my searching area but what caught my eye was the price. Its ridiculous cheap and at the same time the photos of the rooms looks not bad. Have any of you ever stay there? And is it a noisy place because I see its next to the main road?

Same question about Eastiny Residence Hotel. Very good location, very low price. For that price it must be a very low end hotel if you compare what you pay for the other hotels in the region? But at the same time I read good reviews on booking and agoda, the rooms seems normal (a little bit low end but for that price are more than ok).

I am wondering why these two hotels have so low price and is there a catch.

Edit: Now I read about Eastiny complains about bad wi-fi, sometimes no hot water, some strange sewage problem but that my be accidental.

Thanks for the advice Hotman. About Eastiny. I don't think I will take a risk with such an important thing like choosing the hotel, I was just wondering why the price is so low and where is the catch I'm in search of a something of the LK Metropole and Best Beach Vila level. The places that I made a small review few posts ago. But this time I'll try different location. Or maybe one week at Soi 7-13 and one week at the the party area around Soi 6. I'm still evaluating different options.

I was just wondering why the price is so low and where is the catch .There is no catch. The hotel is crap basically, and no one wants to stay there. Even the Cheap Charlies.

Some of these hotels manage to get occupancy levels up through tour groups eg all the Bella Hotels, and the Sawasdee Hotels. Making the experience even worse for the random monger who books.

Thought I'd add a quick review of Amari Nova. Stayed from 19 to 23 Feb, studio room.

I'd class the hotel as middle of the pack, not bad but not amazing either. Affordable price, a number of good Thai restaurants nearby and close to soi 6. Staff all friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious and cleaned regularly.

Hotel is showing slight signs of age but you have to look very closely to see. Would recommend for people who want a room with kitchenette but still within budget.

Hi everyone,

I am currently looking at a possible 3rd trip this year. Each time I've mostly stayed in the Intimate Hotel (Tim boutique), averaging around 30 to 40 € a night.

If I were to come for 3 weeks, and wanted a guest friendly hotel that had a bath (I like bathing with my nightly SPs), is there a better and cheaper option?

Also, if I wanted to have a threesome, are there hotels that do not charge for 2 guests?

I would be very appreciative for any suggestions.

After some research I decide to stay at Tweet Tweet Nest. It looks good. Great location, interesting room interior, guest friendly. Or at least it seems so. But I read somewhere that you have to pay if the girl stays after midnight till morning. So I sent an email and that is the answer of the hotel:

- The reservation booked for double room type (check-in 1 person) if the guest would like to have Guest / visitor / Joiner (For free of charge), Please follow.

1. Guest / Visitor / Joiner need to present original Identification document to hotel.

- Thai ID Card or passport (only).

- Foreigners passport (only) and IM 6 Number.

2. If the guest would like to have guest / visitor / joiner stay over hour / night, Please follow by hotel policy must be 20 years old up.

3. Follow Hotel safety's policy. Hotel will be inspection before your Guest / Visitor / Joiner leave the hotel.

4. If the guest would like to have guest or visitor, hotel able to service on day time only and follow by hotel policy.

So it seems its a 100% guest friendly but is any of you ever been at that hotel and can you confirm "first hand" that there will be no surprise at the morning when the hotel want to charge for the girl that stay with me?

Also I want to try one (or few) of these black ladies that I saw in my last trip in Pattaya and they are definitely not local. It seems that they will need something called "M. 6 Number". Have you ever encounter that kind of requirement and do you have any idea is this a document that these African girls have?

Definitely 100% guest friendly with no extra fees but as I have posted before I had a 19 year old gogo girl turned away due to their age rule. Rooms are nice. Good layout. Fantastic staff. Seaview rooms are not true seaview. They overlook a pretty decrepit building. May be a bit noisy from Soi 7 and 8 if you are a person who sleeps before 3:30 am. Warning it is a bit difficult to locate if you do not know what you are looking for.

I think the Dynasty Inn is very decent and a standard room there is 1480 Baht in high season (so around 50 USD) and 1280 Baht in low season. I can highly recommend this hotel and it's only a 5 minute stroll to BR.

If you want it cheaper you could try the Lek Hotel, opposite the Dynasty Inn. They have rooms starting from 950 Baht but they are facing Second Road so I would recommend the rooms at the back starting from 1300 Baht. However I think the Lek Hotel is less value for money. I have stayed there in the past until it got too worn out. Don't know what the rooms look like these days.

Another option and closer to the beach might be Ma Maison, also in Soi 13. A standard room there is 1520 Baht at the moment. Never stayed there but it gets good reviews.

Does anyone know if hotels like the Hilton Pattaya are joiner friendly? It's listed on some of the sites like http://guestfriendlypattaya.com but some threads like this (http://www.pattayatalk.com********topic/58875-hilton-guest-friendly/) claim overnight guests aren't allowed. Has anyone stayed there recently and can confirm one way or the other? I don't want to book a week only to pay joiner fees or have girls get turned away every night.

Does anyone know if hotels like the Hilton Pattaya are joiner friendly? .Yes, the Hilton Pattaya is girl friendly. You can either bring your girls straight in past the front desk, no questions asked if you act confident and assured, or if you act hesitant and unsure, security will most likely ask to hold your girl's ID while she is your guest at the hotel. It all depends on how you handle yourself. But there is also an alternative way to bring girls into the hotel from the shopping mall bypassing the front desk completely. This option is available only up until closing time at the mall at either 10 pm or 11 pm. The bottom line is there is no joiner fee at this hotel or limit on the number of girls.

Two other 1st class Pattaya hotels:

Avani (former Marriott) - I used to stay at this hotel a lot when it was a Marriott and super girl friendly. I cancelled a recent upcoming reservation at the Avani when I learned Avani now charges a 1000 baht joiner fee and might impose restrictions on my female guest's access to the swimming pool.

But I recently came across a really low room rate for the Avani, I mean a really low rate even for a low season reservation. This discount hotel rate plus a 1000 baht joiner fee would be less than $100 which makes it a tempting offer, because I do like the location and the swimming pool / garden setting, but before I book it, I will have to exchange emails again with the reservation department and straighten out a couple of things. Good thing they know me. LOL. Because I don't want no hassles over my girls concerning my afternoon pool parties and lunches. I will not tolerate any BS.

Intercontinental. I hear this one is absolutely girl friendly. It looks like a great hotel, the rooms, pools, & grounds etc, look really nice, but its location is not ideal, especially for a newbie. On the otherhand, for someone like myself it might be interesting. If I were to stay here, I would rent a motorcycle and then easily be able to fool around in both Pattaya and Jomtien. I might like that.

Note: the Intercontinental is significantly cheaper than the Hilton. I only consider the Hilton because I have hotel points and can stay at the Pattaya Hilton for free from time to time. The lowest rate I have seen for the Pattaya Hilton is $165/ day which is kind of crazy for Pattaya in the low season and almost twice as expensive as the Hilton Sukhumvit in BKK, but if you can afford it and want to stay here, then I say go for it. It is a very fine, 1st class, gf hotel. You will like it.

I usually stay at sunshine residence but for ast few years hotel has come more expensive while quality is down. However location is very good to walk the chicks from beach road to room.

This time I want to try something different. Has anyone any recommendations for a similar, quite, hotel that is walkable easily from beach road and very Girl Friendly? TIA.Thanks to the excellent reply by Mogwai, I was able to book a room in dynasty inn for a day and pleased to inform that hotel is very GF and excellent alternative to Sunshine. I stayed in sunshine as well, hotel still delivers, location can't be beat but it is mobbed by people from a country whose manners are not the best, besides the hotel is expensive if not booked a month in advance. Hotel has added water jet to washrooms which is quite helpful. Here is a list of some other hotels that I visited or made a lost of so as to act as alternatives next time. If anyone has stayed here please let us know your experiences.

LK Empress.

Beach Baron.

Dynasty Inn.

Serenotel.

Basaya Beach.

See Me Too.

Sunbeam.

The first three are confirmed GF.

Two other 1st class Pattaya hotels:
I would add Wave hotel to this list. Small boutique hotel on beach road. Friendlier staff than at Hilton for example. Guest friendly, no joiner fee.

Hotel right on second road with a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, worked wonders on the girls. But the beds are absolutely the hardest I've ever slept on and there's no lift. You do get access to the rooftop pool across the street. There's a small gogo bar downstairs so expect noise until 3 am.

I think Page 10 is probably a good hotel and I had a really bad run of luck there. It looks like a nice hotel, the people who work there are nice.

Here was a run down of my problems.

I am just back from and trip and I stayed at the Page 10 hotel. It's a nice four star hotel but I agree about much of what has been said before. It sounds as if you did have a run of bad luck.

I had no problems with the internet although they made it clear that large downloads (movies etc) were prohibited.
The room was fine but it was often impossible to get to sleep before 4 am because of the band / singer from the beer bar on Soi 10.
I was not impressed by the breakfast buffet, you could have an omlette and some other items but all the rest was more like a dinner buffet.
I had no problems with girls coming up to my room.
Finally, the hotel is a bit worn down, it really needs a good sanding and painting all over.
