Barhop Saturday 3. 5. 2025.
As has been reported in my bar reports over the last few months Angeles red street is quiet, very quiet, very few western tourists, if any at all, Korean punter numbers well down too, maybe due to the recent murder of a Korean tourist in broad daylight, never seen it this quiet in nearly 30 years of working and living very near to Angeles, maybe they should have renamed red street to dead street in all honesty.
Visited 12 odd bars, some western bars and some Korean bars, many bars with no customers at all, many bars with very few girls, what girls are on stage seem very distant, no smiles, no dancing and very little eye contact in almost all bars, exception xs bar, still some shows going on here all be it with much lower numbers of girls, no black tape girls spotted where normally there are many, some girls ok looking, some girls not, at least the girls at Xs bar were some what welcoming and smiling, normally standing room only with Koreans here, tonight choice of seats available.
Blame the constant bar price hikes for girls, expensive lady drinks, blame the severe lack of passable looking slim girls (many unfuckable IMHO) in most bars, the short time only mentality of the few better looking girls that will actually barfine, the drinks only girls that promise a good time to get drinks only to give excuses not to leave their bar when asked, the very high commissions paid on lady drinks making it more profitable and easier for many girls stay in the bar, the strictly Korean only girls, the very high hotel prices compared to nearby destinations for the severe lack of visitors to Angeles, maybe its all of these things together but one thing is for sure would be visitors have voted with their feet to just not visit Angeles at all in all honesty.
Lets hope the powers that be (bar owners, bar girls, hotels, restaurants) start to see sence and address Angeles many problems, time will tell.

BTW, The Korean that was robbed and killed in from the BPI ATM next to Apple Massage a few weeks ago did try to resist. He tried to hold on to his man bag strap and was shot. The ambulance took over 35 minutes to get there. This is contrary to the report earlier posted. The actual video of the robbery and shooting had been posted a few weeks ago and clearly shows he resisted. Looks like he briefly held the strap by seer reaction and was quickly shot without a warning.
Earlier posted failed to report a heavy police presence in Red Street and Korean Town after the shooting. Quite a quick response to the shooting to maintain the tourist crowd.

In my Philippine holiday, Angel was the best place for girls paid.
I will have to stay 5 night, but then I never back to Makati and I stay 2 nights more.
My hotels was Walk About, nice, just conditioner never work weel (or to cold or to less, hard to sleep). People check girl ad the entrance, room was clean and they change ofter also all bed linen.
Swimming pool was clean, but specially to location was perfect: just sitting outside you can see what happen in Wlaking Street, but is it NO a noising position. All this for 20 euros a night.

Trip was nice. Rented a condo near Ground Zero. Everything in walking distance. Didn't do much Bar / Club hopping but spent some time at Kokomos and Phillies on several occasions. In the evenings things start to pick up and more girls out 1. 5 k ST widely accepted, no fuss. Fields Ave, Real St, Raymond St, Santos St, even some along Macarthur Hwy near the 7-11. Scored a nonpro I met at SM Clark Mall at one of the kiosk. There are numerous girls available at the mall, out and about, shops, etc. Filipinas are very approachable. A lot will like to hang out and have fun. Finally tried ChowKing for the first time. Not bad but the Halo Halo was so-so and I like Halo Halo. Also tried that 99 peso Ramen place at SM Clark. Not bad for 99 pesos. Took a few girls to Jollolibee on Macarthur Hey, which is always a hit (the other Jollibee near the other end of Red Street is being remodeled and under construction). Kokomos has ok food. Went there with a girl after a fling. I had fun with her. She was in the top 3 on the AC trip.

Another FL type myself. I've just found over time, if you don't look in the usual places you will find them. And they don't necessarily have to be street walkers.
Agree that outlandish prices are a prompt to say "Thank you, but no thank you" and move on. It usually ends up in a negotiation process where you own the game and start low. Very low. I've got some good 1500 k results with this and then a 1000 k tip in the morning.
I'm never an arsehole / asshole when it comes to negotiations and it helps.
The alternatives to street walkers are usually contacts of hotel workers or shop assistants. I just slip them my phone number or have been propositioned by quite a few.
Whenever a shop assistant says, "Is there anything else I can help you with?" _ Or similar_ I just reply, "Yes, just your phone number. ".
It's worked on more than one occasion.
You just have to wait for them to finish work, but they manage to text you until they do.

There are some shady types but if you chill awhile you will find what you are looking for. If you see something you are interested in don't let them walk by because you may never see them again. Lots of women will walk by you and if you are just sitting there watching people walk by then your prize will walk by and get away. Don't concentrate on the girls that just hang out on the corner only. Also the other streets yielded good results. I never said that there was an over abundance of good looking girls out but the nice ones are there. A lot of guys see girls walking by and think "she looks nice" but that's it. About the girls at SM Clark Mall, well there is nothing wrong with approaching a girl and getting her number for a meet up outside of her workplace. Where will the prying eyes be? I think that is a stereotype, plus they don't know who I am. I've eaten at several places outside the mall. ChowKing, Jollibee, Street BBQ a few times (a FL even bought me some street BBQ up to Phillies and shared with me), I ate at the rotisserie chicken joint on Macarthur Hwy right before you get to Jollibee, ate several times at Kokomos, ate at Phillies, ate at the airport.
More about the FL's in AC, IMO if you have time and patience you can find descent girls. Don't limit yourself to just one area, walking about and cultivating leads and numbers is worth it. Yes it's more work than just sitting in the GoGo's but I like the thrill of the hunt. I am in more control of the situation and I dictate my terms. Don't ask "how much? Make your offer first. Whats happening on the town over the last few weeks.
Its no secret that angeles is dead, very dead, very few western tourists if any, Korean punters only appear at the weekend, bars with very low numbers of girls and even lower number of attractive girls but more about that later.
Hammer bar and resto (old envy) has opened, its looks cool and higher class than the other places around, giant screens adorn the wall, nice comfortable chairs for dining with multiple leather couches for relaxing, limited opening menu on for now, food and drinks crazy expensive, two small main meals and two soft drinks was just under 2,500 peso, food ok but not great, hammer bar and resto has been struggling to attract any customers since opening, my fear is unless they sort out the crazy prices this place will either be closed or bought out by Christmas.
Western oriented Bars visited.
Champagne bar, Geckos bar, masquarade bar, lollipop bar, shooters bar, mostly a few older expat customers in early nursing their beer with very few guys sitting with bar girls, mostly guys sitting alone, can't blame them as most all girls are older and plain in looks in the western bars, what does not help is very few smiles / enthusiasm from the girls, many girls just sitting around and not dancing, local beer prices 100 peso to 150 peso, lady drinks around 300 peso, short time mainly 5,000 peso.
Smaller / medium size korean oriented bars visited.
Bar nana, bar sky, avalon bar, Q bar,123 bar, gold moon bar, again very quiet for both punter numbers and girl numbers, these bars a struggling big time, a step up in quality in girls from the western bars but still mostly chubbies, oldies and below average girls in looks with probably 10% of girls ok looking (korean only girls) local beer 120 peso to 180 peso, lady drinks 350-400 peso, barfines short time mainly 6,000 peso+, one quick drink in each bar and out the door, not worth staying for the second beer in all honesty.
On to the two bigger and better korean oriented bars of red street (madonna bar and xs bar) these two bars are the only two bars where it might be possible to see the better looking girls in higher numbers, madonna bar 30 odd girls working, xs bar maybe 40-50 girls working, some girls ok looking, young and slim and some not so slim and ok looking, local beer 180-200 peso, lady drinks 350-400 peso+ , barfines 6,000+ peso, many of the better looking girls in these two bars are entertainers only, many girls are drinks only, many girls are strictly korean only.
In summing up.
After nearly 30 years of working and living near to angeles city, the time has finally come to say goodbye to angeles, in truth have not really enjoyed angeles city or the night life for few years now, the town is dead, its a mere shadow of its former past, the pollution, the poverty, the begging and lack of infustructure, the dirt and bad food, the increase in crime just gets one down in the end, the town gets more expensive by the day, the amount of girls and quality of girls is also at an all time low, yes if one is a young high spending korean then its possible to get laid by a few ok looking slim girls (no not stunners or cat walk models, just barely ok) the girls might not be the koreans 1st or 2nd choice girls as there are just so many girls that just do not barfine with anyone, but be patient and a younger korean should be able to get laid without too much problem, as for western punters (especially older westerners) that want to get laid then not easy at all if one is even a little bit fussy in ones bed partners in truth.

One of the officers said that the laws in the Philippines do not protect males, and that if she decided to file a complaint that I was going to get arrested and have to go to court. At that point the cops straight up told her that she was asking for too much, and that if she wanted to get paid she would have to meet halfway. I ended up paying another 13 k (+2 k from earlier for a total of 15 k). The officer that was interrogating me started to realize that first is was 10 k, then 20 k, then 15 k, and she didn't want to press charges just get paid. He even wrote on a piece of paper "SCAM?" and showed to to me, to which I nodded in the affirmative.
When it was all done, we were let outside. One of the hotel staff then told both myself and the officers that she did the exact same thing with a Korean guy last week. He ended up paying her 5 k + $100 or something. They took pictures of her, and now she's banned from the hotel. The cops have pictures of her too, so she's also burned that bridge. But either way, be careful out there.
For further context, I've never been arrested for anything in my life. I absolutely abhor violence, and I haven't even gotten so much as a fucking speeding ticket in over 20 years. I haven't even made it to any of the bars on Red Street yet. After tonight, I want nothing to do with P4 P. I don't even want to leave my room to eat, but my stomach is growling. I did it in Pattaya once in a similar situation, and in Boracay where they were going to arrest one of the 2 girls I brought with me from AC, because she jumped in the sea naked at night, being drunk. For traffic stops I give the 200 standard bribe, without arguing.

There are plenty of 'freebies' in AC, if you have looks and game, and you're ok with spending quite a few nights striking out, alone. You should always give the girl something, whether it's a nice dinner, a bottle service table, or, I do like the suggestion here, 'money for your birthday'. I'm in Angeles now and was walking by when the raid took place. Never really visited that bar much as I took the girls there to be Korean only girls. It was the Western bars closing that resulted in Korean bars opening. To think that Westerners would be interested in opening a bar when the Korean bars are closing due to lack of business is wishful thinking. More likely, the bars would close and remain vacant and there would be less girls in Angeles City resulting in even less visitors. That was what happened in the past. The Western bars started closing and the number of Western visitors went down. It was only because the Koreans reopened the bars that there are more bars now and more visitors due to the influx of Korean visitors. If the Korean bars closed down, the number of girls in Angeles would not remain the same. They would leave to go to Manila instead. Why stay for a low number of customers and the lower prices that they want? All you have to do is look at the history of Angeles City.

The worst smell from their abscesses is like a sharp ice pick in my sinuses. My past 4 bar fines have all had this smell with differing degrees however deep kissing them is much less fun when they smell like an abscess. They provide good service otherwise but this lingering sour fetid smell is making almost not worth the effort.

I don't really follow this forum, but I figured I should write some notes from my two weeks here. I feel like there are fewer lookers in the bars compared to last year, but pretties can still be found. Prices are through the roof; I've been paying 5,000 for 5,500 for barfines. And most ladies do not want to spend the night. Despite all the negatives, it's still pretty fun.
Here are some notes on the bars I've visited. They can be grouped into bars that are fun to hang out in, and bars that are glorified brothels.
Viking – probably one of the best bars. It's Korean-style with the girls in dresses, but the small stage is packed with girls and they rotate around and seem to be having fun. Quite a few beauties here. I pulled two on different nights and had good experiences with both. Upon entering, a lady claiming to be mamasan will sit with you and try to help you pick a girl. One of my girls explained they are just tequila girls. I discovered the tequila girl will say anything to get you to call a girl down, but in truth she knows nothing about the girls so just makes stuff up. I ended up just waving them away and approaching the stage directly to interact with the girl I wanted myself.
Shooters – a good bar to sit and have a drink and ogle the girls in bikinis. Last year there were quite a few sexy ladies here. Not so many this year, although this is just a snapshot and sexy girls can materialize later, or on a different day. There are two 30 minute rotations, so you can have a beer and scope out both groups. The girls seem aloof, but I called a couple down last year and had good experiences.
Lollipop – maybe the most famous bar? Similar to Shooters with bikinis and two rotations. Not as many sexy girls as last year. Some of the girls partied and got crazy with guys that were tipping.
Geckos – small bar with lots of sexy girls in bikinis. Even though they are right in front of you, they are pretty aloof so you have to call the one you like down. It's a good place to have a drink and watch sexy girls.
Skyfall – another K-bar, but there are a lot of girls on stage, and some will make eye contact and smile. Last year there were a lot of good lookers, this year a lot of fugglies. But it only takes one and I found a cutie and had a good experience. Surprisingly, at 2 am five girls, some quite good looking, got up on stage and danced in their birthday suites.
Baccara – a K-bar, but it often has customers and some energy, so I feel comfortable sitting and having a drink to scope out the girls. Lots of fugglies when I went in. But one stood out, a 19-year-old part Chinese teeny bopper. She was energetic and goofy, leading to a fun night. But she kept her dress on all night and had a pocket full of condoms, dampening the fun. You never know what you're going to get with a teenager. Surprisingly, she was the only one to spend the night.
Bunny – a forgotten bar at the end of the street near McDonald's. I have fond memories of the old Bunny Ranch, where years ago I somehow managed to pull off barfining every girl over the course of a couple weeks. Dollhouse – was pretty grim when I was there.

Q-bar – another one of the best bars. Fun, accessible girls in bikinis. I was satisfied with the girl I took home.
Owl's Nest – looked grim.
Champaign – nobody talks about this place, but it's a fun bar to have a drink in, with accessible girls. Once again, more pretty girls last year. I did see one I liked though, and that's all it takes.
Monsoon – fun bar with good atmosphere and accessible girls. But I wasn't interested in any of them.
Old Bar – another bar nobody talks about. It never let me down until this year. It's a small bar usually packed with pretty young girls. This year the situation was grim. But there was one young cutie: a twenty-year-old cherry girl. Turns out she was the nineteen-year-old cherry girl I had bought a drink last year. It's probably a good idea to ask if she's a cherry girl before committing to a 400 PHP drink.
Brown Sugar – it's back open, still with the old classic rock motif, but under Korean management, so it's just a brothel. Girls are just standing in dresses, avoiding eye contact. I did spot a nineteen-year-old cutie I might go back for.
123, Quality, Badboy – all boring brothel bars. It's not that I feel unwelcome in them, I just feel uncomfortable. I'm always the only white customer. Most customers, if there are any, are groups of Koreans. The girls are just standing waiting to be called down, and won't smile or make eye-contact. If I'm the only customer and don't pick a girl within five minutes, they will all sit down and play with their phones. Despite people saying Koreans have the pretties girls, I thought most girls in these bars were nothing special. However, there's always one or two I'm interested in. I didn't pull anybody from these bars, but last year I had a good experience with a 123 girl.
The rest of the bars are just brothels I haven't bothered to go in: Bar Nana, J 23, Soya, Cosplay, lofty, etc. None of these bars are for getting a beer and having a good time. Probably the best way to handle these places is to do what the Koreans do. Walk in and just stand there scoping out the girls, ignoring the waitresses unless you see somebody you're interested in. There is no second group to see later. All the girls on the stage are all the available girls in these bars. Only then order a drink and tell the waitress who the lucky girl is. Once you get her out of the bar, she's just a Filipino girl, and you can still have a good time with her.

If you want something extra, there are some Facebook pages advertising hotel massage with pictures of the available girls, some very cute. I used this service twice last year, and once this year, and it is the real deal. The girl that shows up is the girl in the pictures. I always picked a cute girl that turned out to be 19 or 20. The massage girls handing out the cards are usually there on the east side of the street between Kokomos and Tequila Reef. I've never tried them but some seem cute. For full service, no condom, with admittedly average looking girls, there's a place at the south end of Narcisso.

But you will be hard pressed to find a girl that will actually do LT. Some will say they will but once in the room and the deed is done they make up an excuse to leave. Even when they do stay LT to the girl that usually means leaving by 7 AM. Some bars many of the Kbars its 4 k for short time and 5 k for long time. In some of the Kbars the better-looking ones (if you can get them to go with a non-Korean) its 6 K. I have been told by waitresses that I know from the Kbars its 3 k short time for Koreans and 4 k long time for Koreans but we pay 1 k more than they do. Madonna bar 12 k to 6 k. Freelancers can be had for 2 k but some guys have said they have gotten them for as low as 500. But most of the freelancers are fives and below in looks IMO. AC is no longer the cheap destination it used to be.

It's been 13 long years since I last visited Angele City and Philippines and decided to do a quick two night stay to introduce a long time friend who is a first time visitor to Asia to monger scenes in the region. First I want to thank all those who helped me with recent intel by answering my questions over the last few months here. Now it's time for me to contribute back.
The Manila airport although newer and with more terminals than my last visit is still chaotic and disorganized. This is the only airport where you have to pay to get from terminal 1 where I landed to terminal 3 where the Genesis bus to AC was. But at least the bus was straight forward with its 450 P fare to SM Clark mall in AC. The new mall across from SM is new for me and it was no longer feasible to walk with luggage from SM Clark to my hotel which was Valentino's. But with Grab which was not available 13 years ago, it was an easy short ride to my hotel.
Valentino's hotel is a basic accommodation of good value located right where the main action was but off on a side street to avoid the noise. It served our purpose but next time if we do return a nicer hotel might be warranted. But this hotel had no issues with bringing girls back.
The AC scene has changed dramatically since my visit 13 years ago. I recall I paid 2,500 P for long time at Insomnia. There were no.
Korean businesses and most bars had beautiful girls lined up outside their bars to entice customers in much like in Pattaya. Now it's usually older door girls outside. It's still as dumpy as before although the center new lane in the middle of the street recently built is an improvement. As reported, much fewer clients here than before.
From the intel I got in advance I knew we had to just poke our heads into each bar to see if any potential exists. Turns out most bars either had too few girls or they were not attractive to us. Madonna was a miss for us since we were not willing to pay 12,000 P barfine. All other bars had mostly 5000 P barfines with a fee at 5500 and 6000. These were mostly single barfine rate bars whether long time or short time with a few quoting 4000 to 4500 short time rates. It wasn't really defined whether long time was guaranteed or not so this loosey goosey lack of structure did not sit well with me but no big matter since we were interested in short time for this stay anyway.
We ended up staying at XS since they had an amazing show and many girls available at two rates 5000 and 6000 P although long time vs short time again were not well defined. But the mamasans and waitresses we dealt with were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They were friendly, not pushy and informative. At least one of them sat with us most times so they were available when we needed them. I ended up barfining two different 5000 P girls over the two nights after buying one lady drink for them. They hardly touched their drinks so we knew they were just interested in the cut from the drinks. For me both girls were friendly but the girl I pulled the first night was much more relaxed and fun. I walked them both back to the Red St area after our sessions even though for our second night my pal and I treated our girls to some food at Tequila Reef before saying goodbye. In retrospect we both agreed we should have repeated with our girls from the first night as they were more fun than the second set of girls.
Before ending up at XS for our second night, we did pop into Club Atlantis since they had a show too I recall this place since I remember taking my Insomnia girl to see the show there 13 years ago. Sadly it's no longer what is was before. They still have shows there but the dancers were chunky and unattractive so we left within minutes.
Overall, the Filipino girls we met were friendly and GFE as I can see why many of guys like the girls here. But the Red st scene needs some more structure in order to compete with Thailand and other monger destinations. Without the Koreans here, AC would be dead as a mongering destination. Our next destination Vietnam does have more elegant girls in our opinion but the AC girls had better and sweeter personalities. Too bad these cannot be combined to form a new species of girls.

The street is very dark and not alot of witnesses to keep an eye on things, I've had 2 pretty close calls late at night, which I found pretty shocking (maybe criminals target Koreans).
Because I typically never have issues in AC, because of this if you drink I would not stay there, I do not.
The rooms are pretty average for the price and GF, so up 2 you.

Genesis bus I think is NAIA Terminal 3, either Bay 13 or 14, and is around p450, direct no stops to SM Clark in Angeles. Busses depart hourly. If you arrive at a different terminal, catch a taxi to terminal 3.

Responding to some questions that were put earlier stopped into Madonna tonight.

But that should not matter anyway if you intend to take the bus to AC, you just go out to T3 bay 13 and hop in the bus, it leaves at the top of the hour. Therefore the time spent going thru immigration is irrelevant, the next bus will be there waiting for you. Ride time will be around 2 hours, if no problems arise on the road.

Because in the past few years I only visit AC once a month, or in this case after 2 months, I see the decline like in a timelapse movie. Sorry to burst your bubble, but to paraphrase your comment, it's not going to "just blow over". I'm convinced it's here to stay until a miracle drug is produced that's deemed safe and priced affordably for the commoners. And that's just not going to happen in our lifetimes.

I never thought about it that way but you're probably correct. Having said that, most simply did not care and had zero interest. Without repeating myself ad infinitum, any condom discussion were totally about STIs not pregnancy prevention.Weird that I have never been concerned about catching a disease. I was just always concerned about not wanting to get a chick pregnant. And since I had a vasectomy 11 years ago that is no longer a concern. Caught it the very end of my trip and was scheduled to go to Sosua within a week of leaving Angeles City so was able to buy over the counter Doxycycline and azithromycin to treat it. Today its stronger so now you need even more to treat it. Caught it again in 2017 in Angeles City but within a week of returning I was in Mexico and was able to see a Dr. And get treated there.
I used to catch Chlamydia maybe a half dozen times in Medellin back in the twenty teens and would get treated when I returned to the states. Also caught crabs I think from one of those Plaza Botero girls back in 2022.

Without an infection I usually get an injection before I leave as a precaution. No need to find out a week later back at home.
