As has been reported in my bar reports over the last few months Angeles red street is quiet, very quiet, very few western tourists, if any at all, Korean punter numbers well down too, maybe due to the recent murder of a Korean tourist in broad daylight, never seen it this quiet in nearly 30 years of working and living very near to Angeles, maybe they should have renamed red street to dead street in all honesty.
Visited 12 odd bars, some western bars and some Korean bars, many bars with no customers at all, many bars with very few girls, what girls are on stage seem very distant, no smiles, no dancing and very little eye contact in almost all bars, exception xs bar, still some shows going on here all be it with much lower numbers of girls, no black tape girls spotted where normally there are many, some girls ok looking, some girls not, at least the girls at Xs bar were some what welcoming and smiling, normally standing room only with Koreans here, tonight choice of seats available.
Blame the constant bar price hikes for girls, expensive lady drinks, blame the severe lack of passable looking slim girls (many unfuckable IMHO) in most bars, the short time only mentality of the few better looking girls that will actually barfine, the drinks only girls that promise a good time to get drinks only to give excuses not to leave their bar when asked, the very high commissions paid on lady drinks making it more profitable and easier for many girls stay in the bar, the strictly Korean only girls, the very high hotel prices compared to nearby destinations for the severe lack of visitors to Angeles, maybe its all of these things together but one thing is for sure would be visitors have voted with their feet to just not visit Angeles at all in all honesty.
Lets hope the powers that be (bar owners, bar girls, hotels, restaurants) start to see sence and address Angeles many problems, time will tell.
