Amen.
Jackson,
I know that I have been involved in flame wars from time to time. I truly apologize for any grief that I caused you in having to take time out of your busy schedule to monitor that childish bullshit.
I will stick to the subject at hand, finding women and screwing them silly. I still give my opinion on matters posted on the boards, but I will not get involved with personal attacks any longer. As I don't believe that they serve any useful purpose here, and we can all tell they tend to really [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) you off!
So, I will have to second Atlanta Mongers Amen to Jack Spratt's idea. I think that a single warning, given directly to the offending party stating that if they persist in personal attacks then they will be demoted to the next lowest level of membership. I know I for one would hate to be lowered to regular member status for a while. It would be embarrassing and it would get people's attention.
Then if the same actions persist, then you would have no choice but to ban the member. But, you could do so with a clear conscience because you gave fair and ample warning that their behavior would get them banned if it continued.
Again, just a thought.
Box
Jackson,
Where are you from?
How and why did you start this forum?
Just curious

I can agree to that idea as well. Let's make sure that it is the original offender that gets punished though and not the one defending his position. Everyone should have a right to defend his reputation.
dear jackson
further to jack spratt's letter, if you check the thai photo section, you will see, in addition to multiple new posts from the traveller, a series of other posts saying it is ok to fuck **** girls by accident and/or design. apart from the moral perspective, it is very much against thai law to fuck a prostitute under 18 years of age. the #1 rule in thailand and in the thai faqs should be not to break the law (especially in a very big way such as that).
to help resolve in large part this issue on the board, may i suggest that
1. purple n gold rewrite the faqs and that he also continue to rework and repost his "short holiday itinerary' in the general info section.
2. he make explicit mention of the child prostitution laws in the revised faqs: they are there already.
3. once the faqs are fixed up, you endorse in bold blue the faqs and say that child sex is not only against thai law but explicitly very much against the rules of your - your - board.
4. after that, anyone, such as old thai hand or the traveller, playing at the margins can be reported for breaking faq # 1. (give it top billing).
5. most of the relevant information most guys want should be in the faq or one big general report.
6. although, imho, most of the trouble on the thai board is with the traveller (there was nothing like it before, except for the bobo psycho clown, there are some other factors. samus aran probably belonged in the thai women section and although he was a nuisance, no one, old thai hand being a very good example, has the
right to threaten him. old thai hand has also mentioned his interpol contacts and this, to me, is his way of getting ready to threaten someone else. i, for one, am not interested in schoolgirl uniforms; it is not the purpose of the forum.
7. the quality of monger traveller to thailand is obviously much lower than argentina. also, there is no ******* on the board who knows the place backwards and dwarfs all others in a good way. sure, freeler knows a lot but, though he might be a jack kennedy (they both like sex), he is no *******. (i hope you see the dan quail analogy: i try hard).
8. i think the above could go some way to resolving the issues and let the rest of us live with those who need the board to push their egos instead of our common interests.
anyhow: good luck from a peaceful pattaya where the pizzas are good and the women are better. as i was explaining to juice spike yesterday, i met a lovely girl in a bar. she has only been here two months but speaks good english. she is 19, 20 on 19th july (id checked and we wil celebrate it with a multiple somwe with her family who all owrk in the same bar but who will owrk for me on the big night). i think we are in love; she only asks 1000 bt long time and does not even know what a buffalo is. who could ask for more?
Dear Jackson,
I am writing from Dubai where there are very strict censorship laws against any material that does not suit the culture of the country.
Any website (including its IP address) brought to the attention of the local (and exclusive) internet service provider, is blocked and hence cannot be accessed by anyone in the country. For some reason or luck, WSG has not caught any sort of attention till date. But this can happen at any time. I urge you to provide all forum members alternate links or IP addresses or mabe even an email address that can help us reach WSG in the event this happens.
Regards
ZMan
Dear Jackson,
Why is it that I cannot look at photos all of a sudden? I couldn't even look at the photos I posted in Kansas City.

Jackson,
I echo 100% what Zman75 says about what to do if the ISP in Dubai blocks the site. This may never happen, but equally could happen tomorrow! In my opinion, it is only a matter of time before the axe does fall.
Please give the matter some thought.

I got a better question. How come it says "super moderator" under Reno Dude's name?
Beer Guzzler

Who is Nibu Raphael? Why does he get special threads across the forum? I've personally read some of his post and all I see is that he is asking for info and not providing any.
Just Curious,
Beer Guzzler
Your observations are correct, which is why he is restricted to posting in his own sections, so the rest of us don't have to wade through his "reports".
Thanks,

Dear Mr Jackson,
Is there a way to not accept PM from a member, If this is possible it will end a lot of trouble for many members & also help stop spammers.

The "Super Moderator" was a accident. I am the only moderator on the Forum.

Hello all,
I feel that the forum where providers get to post their ads is grossly underused. When people see a provider they should tell them about their site and tell them to post an ad. Also, I feel that the policy of not allowing e-mail address's to be posted in the area where providers get to post their ads is a policy that is destructive to that forum. They use their main e-mail address to recieve offers from prospective cliants. If a provider has ads on ten different sites and she has to go to every single site to find out if she has any offers is just too time consuming for her. I understand why you dont want people posting their e-mail address's in normal sections so people keep their conversations in the WSG but in the ad section it should be changed. We also need more providers posting their ads here. With a little work we could make it into a very prosperous section. I urge everyone to tell providers to post their ads there, e-mail providers and tell them to post there, Just get more of them. Also I move that the ad section should not be a completely different section. Like in the main forum you can click on personal ads but you can also click on the united states. They should not be seperate. Like how the Illinois board has Lombard and chicago, you should just make a new topic in it that is for provider ads that way WSG members dont have to go to the forum main page and through all the links just to see an ad, they can read the ads while they look at reports. I believe this also would inform more members to the existance of this section of the Forum. I believe that it is a section that is under represented and not very known, also people never look at it probably because no one posts ads their. Im sorry If I tryed to say to much to randomly. I will try to draft another version of it and send it to you later when I have not been up for 40 houres straight.
Thank you,
Jibbily Guy
I agree with your suggestions that the FREE classified ad section isn't getting the attention that it should. However, I don't want email addresses in the Forum because any email address poste din the forum quickly gets harvested by email bots and gets spammed to death. Besides, all any advertiser has to do is set their WSG Forum User Settings so that they get an email when somebody sends them a PM.

Hi Jackson,
In former times I loved it to print out parts of the forum to read it at home. There is a function that creates printable versions of displayed forum items. What is not working for weeks is to show all threads on one page, there is a function, but it is not working.
Can you please give me feedback.
Thanks,

I don't know, but it's irrelevant because I'll be upgrading the Forum's software soon anyway.

Jackson,
I was reading up in the Argentina Photo Discussions and I have to say that I'd gladly pay an annual fee to use the site. Why? Because I save money and time because of the info I get here.
Thanks
BTW:
60,000+ registered members (possibly 10,000 active members)
$20 per annum fee (cost of a BBBJ in South Central Los Angeles)
Assuming 10,000 members decide to remain on WSG, the positive cash flow would be over $100,000 to reimburse your fine efforts (at the least, the $600 you dole out each month to finance the upkeep of the site will be covered and you will be given some overdue wages earned)
Even $10 a year won't break anyone and you'll have more than enough... but thanks for keeping a great site free!
Peace
Jackson,
I would like to see a photo attachment function added to the PM system. We could then send pics of providers to trusted parties if we were interested in hooking them up. We could also send pics of places of p4p activity, without alerting every lurker on the board and LE.
RIP TrashMan.
Thanks,
K.J. Baltimonger
Jackson,
I didn’t want to put this in the wrong section of the Forum or clutter up a board so I chose to leave this tribute here. It is a tribute to the one and only Trashman. He was an institution and an icon to many. His witticisms will be sorely missed.
Although many of us have not met we share a comraderie that is almost unparalled on any other type forum. Some consider the Don, as he was lovingly called, brash and rude. He was from a time when one did not have to worry about being PC. He said what was on his mind and to hell with those who didn't like it. So what you got your little feelings hurt but the next time you came correct or you didn't come at all.
The Don was harsh but he did not admonish others out of spite or anger. Sure, those think skinned wannabe mongers got their feelings hurt but many more learned that this was just a measure to induce those that asked questions to just peruse the resources at hand- first, and then ask questions later.
I will miss his verbal spankings for sure and the tales of his exploits. He and LoveLOS inspired me to be the contributor to this Forum that I am today and in his honor, the next ho I cornhole I will holler out his name as I come! I think he may like that.
Rest in peace bro!

Jackson,
I'm glad I read this thread before I posted my problem again. You answered it in Sabbatical's post last week. That is fixing the print all posts on s single page.
Looking forward to the upgrade. Hope it goes smoothly.
Lastly, thanks for the many, many hours you put in each week (or is that day) to keep this forum up and running. It has been a godsend when I travel.
Jackson,
Here is your stated policy regarding certain kinds of Spam:
"2. The escalating number of recent reports containing personal attacks and derogatory comments towards other Forum Members demonstrates that I have been too lax lately in enforcing the Forum's SPAM policies that prohibit such practices.
Therefor, I have decided that it is necessary to adopt a Zero Tolerance policy in enforcing the Forum's SPAM Policies, including the policies that prohibit:
- Discussions about sex with persons under the age of 18.
- Personal attacks and derogatory comments towards other Forum Members.
Effective immediately, all reports containing any mention of interactions with persons under the age of 18, or...
Any reports containing any personal attacks or derogatory comments directed towards another Forum Member or the Forum Membership in general, will be deleted in their entirety.
Regular Members who repeatedly violate the Forum's Policies will lose their posting and PM privileges.
Senior Members who repeatedly violate the Forum's Policies will have their Membership Status changed to Regular Member.
You may direct your comments regarding this new enforcement policy to me by posting a report in the "Letters to the Editor" section or by sending a Private Message to "Admin".
Thanks,
Jackson"
May I suggest that you either enforce your stated policy of Zero Tolerance, or alter the policy to something that can and will be enforced. Some members of this Forum blatantly violate these policies with seeming impunity. Why should others of us operate within the gudelines if the membership is not required to do so? Lack of enforcement is a signal to other members that they, too, may ignore the guidelines.
Lastly, and forgive me if I am being a pain in the ass, but this HAS to be said: Your "zero tolerance" policy came directly on the heels of a flaming war wherein Skinless, now known as Domino, hurled the most vile and vicious personal insults and attacks at a fellow WSG member that this forum has seen. Yet, when the very same guy, now calling himself Domino does the exact same thing to me, you still ignore it. You say "Zero Tolerance" but you do not mean it. Domino is immune from all your guidelines, or so it seems. Talk about "serial offenders."
When you say "Zero Tolerance" but clearly do not mean it, you lose credibility with the membership. Firm, fair-handed enforcement will end most of the "flamimg" problem. Why are you unwilling to knock Domino down to Regular Member status (as your own rules say you will do) for repeatedly violating your written guidelines?
I know some members think you are showing favoritism because Domino is your friend. I don't know anything about that and it is not my concern. This is your Forum and you can do what you want. If you announced that since this is your Forum, you choose to enforce the guidelines selectively because you like some members more than others, that would be odd, but I would respect your honesty.
But stating a "Zero Tolerance" policy and enforcing it sporadically while some members appear to be immune, or above the law, calls for some sort of explanation. Please enforce your rules or change them.
Respectfully,
Ljohnson
dear jackson
(update: loser johnson has posted some more bs in the thai general info section so probably nbo need to read his bs here)
please do not worry yourself too much about troll ljohnson, who recently sent me a pm about the traveller which i forwarded to you. troll lj ohnson is jumping around from thread to thread as his attacks on me are so weak. this is because, in my humble opinion, he is a fool and i have presented some evidence to that effect.
in the thai photo thread, he made "jokes" about fucking pre pubescent children and he attacked bill because bill did not think such "jokes" are funny. he later discovered, much later than anyone else, that i changed my name from skinless to domino and he thinks, like a fool who sees the joke much later than anyone else, he is some sort of genius.
his letter belongs in the complaints section but rules are probably not his strong point either.
the skinless/traveller thread concerned a very serious issue, having sex with thai children. i still get pms about this and i have recently posted some of them. anybody having sex, as the travller repeatedly did, with **** thai prostitutes, is risking serious jail time and worst. that is a key point.
to resolve an earlier spat i was not involved in (which ljohnson wants to believe i was in involved in so he can win some pathetic point), i suggested that purple n gold rewrite the thai faqs and put such a warning in a prominent place. perhaps you could do that to resolve, in part, the issues. i suggested that to help resolve these issues.
however, as long as we have ignorant fools (fools is proven, and ignorant about thai hookers is also proven) like ljohnson posting, there can probably be no resolution, except perhaps to leave the entire board to the ignorant and uninformed, like ljohnson, or those with more sinister agendas, like the traveller.
perhaps this note will also suffice to say that i am not your friend (though i have to admire your brilliance herr jackson), that, to repeat myself again for ljohnson's benefit, skinless not jackson removed the bulk of the skinless posts. much earlier, when he was ranting against skinless, this was one of his unintentionally funnier points.
that spat was not the wost; the nova one was probably worse and png trying to drill the same points on another occasion into the traveller was probably as bad. i don't know as i skipped most of them as much as i could.
ljohnson's screed below says skinless hurled the most abusive etc insults at the traveller. a read of that thread will show that skinless got slowly involved because the traveller refused to heed the warnings of others and, like ljohnson, he took it all as a big joke. the thai authorities do not regard it as a joke and will give offenders serious jail time. i got involved with ljohnson because of the bs he posted on that thread, at a time when he had yet to give any useful advice at al on the board. his contribution to then had been negative and selfish take take. it has not improved much though, in fairness, he has tried.
one final thing: on regular-senior members. some senior members seem to think this is a big deal. 1ball, for example, referred to the king of the thai photo board. some senior members have very little information to give. ljohnson is one of them. he is a sad case and some of us like to issues warnings to these losers for their own good. even fools should be protected.
skinless gave more information, including the faqs (that need revamping) than ljohnson wil probably ever give. so too did domino, who reported the facts, just the facts.
so, a few more hours and it is bon voyage. some business to conduct in siberia and then a long, slow cruise to pattaya or phuket;)
ljohnson: just hold off for a few hours and then get your tag team to move in, the ones 1ball mentioned in his pm to me. if you time it better, cooordinate it better, you might not look so much like a fool. just a thought as i am still looking out for you:d
Jackson,
If in fact LE does monitor these boards, which seems to be a known fact, then isn't your posting our e-mail addresses along with our monger aliases and forum status a way of outing us to any LE with the intiative and basic computer savvy to do a little research? I strongly suggest that this practice be discontinued. There is no reason for us to need to know our own e-mail address, and we don't know whom has access to this information (hopefully only you and I). Otherwise we should just monger under our given names and add our social security numbers and drivers license to make it easier for them! Lest you think I am being paranoid, recall the case of former LA Councilman Mike Hernandez, a man whom had the audacity to vote against and speak up regarding senseless appropriations for the building of the pigdom. He ended up having an LAPD sting directed only at him to expose his cocaine abuse (if you really believe that he was the only politician in LA using coaine at that time, then you also think that Arizona has coastal access!). LAPD selects its targets carefully and since Pig Bratton's thrust (figuratively, I doubt that all of the Viagra, Levitra and Cialis in the world in a cocktail could make that old bastard "thrust" at anything) is to go after mongers instead of hookers and pimps, just like he did in NYC, there is no reason to make it easier for him!
Marlowe
Only you can see your email address. It's only displayed to you after you log in.
The reason I decided to start displaying the email address is to reduce the number of emails I get from Forum Members asking me what their email address is, and to remind members to keep their email address current and to check it ocassionally for messages from the Forum.
Thanks,
Jackson

Jackson,
Is it okay to post the web address to another site that also provides info on the hobby? This site, at least the Dallas section, does not have alot of good info on the street scene, but does have good info on amps and on independents. I think would help out alot of our brothers from getting ripped off by the scam providers. I'm sure you know which one I am referring to (has an "as" in the title along with a "pd"). Please let me know if it would be ok or not.

Congrats on the recently added Senior Membership Upgrade Form (http://www.wsgforum.com/sm-upgrade-request.html). Proper use of the form should make the process smoother and much faster -- not to mention being less subjective, and reducing the workload on yourself by requiring that the members do the necessary leg work.
Nice job.

Hi Jackson,
Don't know if you got this PM from others yet, but I figured I would ask it here for all to see.
With regards to the Senior Membership form, good idea. My question though is, if we had applied before in the old format, do we need to again apply with the form version? (Still not really sure if I want the deal, but someone did convince me to apply a little over a month ago. *shrug* Should I also fill out the form, or was that good enough?)
Lo.
Jackson,
One other thing on the Senior form. Would it be possible to put a short comments section into the form, maybe 500 characters? (I know if I had to fill it out, I would like to say that you haven't put any blue writing in my posts, but I know a couple were edited. :) I tend to use multiple periods in my everyday writing too. *laughs*)

I hope the last round of senior membership upgrades will make your daily task of vetting the rest of the reports a little easier as it is usually the senior members who post the majority of messages.

Dear Jackson,
Sometimes too much information is just not helpful. I'm visiting Atlanta next week, and in reviewing the latest messages, I note that there are a good number of acronymns used by the locals: abbreviations for sections of town, street names, neighborhoods, etc.
So I attempt to RTFF, reviewing past messages to learn the code, to decipher the alphabet soup. I read several pages in, and stuff is still not too clear (this isn't surprising). So I hit "Last Page" and find myself 175 pages back in time, in 2002.
A. I don't have time to review 176 pages and pack for my trip.
B. Just how much of this information is out of date and not relevant to the current sw scene in Atlanta?
This complaint can apply to any major city where mongering reigns.
Would it make sense to have a senior member create a FAQ for each area, at least for those areas, like Atlanta, where stuff is buried deep in the forum? These could include translations of acronymns, general descriptions of "the routes" (which will not be news, I believe, to local LE, so that info won't endanger any practicioner or hobbiest any more than usual). You could call this section a Visitor's Guide or something like that.
Are there other approaches to take about this problem? I'm no Encyclopedia Brown, but it's hard to dig out this kind of essential data from the screens of wonderful information in certain city sections.
Dear Mr. Jackson:
Thank you for the upgrade . Enjoy thanks again.

Hi, Jackson.
Although it's been a few months since I donated to WSG Charities (via PayPal online), I haven't seen my user name updated to reflect I am a WSG Charity Benefactor. I think that's too bad because the designation is almost like a form of advertising. If I had not seen the designation on someone else's user name, I would not have known about the cause and would not have learned enough about it to decide to contribute.
Just wondering. (Did I not donate enough?)
Keep the faith. Later, guys.

Jackson,
Thank you for the Senior Member upgrade.
I understand from your email that my upgrade was granted from my previous applications via the original Upgrade request thread, and not from the new Upgrade Form which I filled in only a few days ago, (just before you upgraded me).
Reading the email sent to me on the subject, the Senior Member upgrade is temporary for 30 days, and during this time I must fill in the Upgrade Request form, otherwise I will revert to a Regular membership.
So please advise, do you now wish me to fill in another Upgrade Request form, as the instruction in your email, or will the one I filled in a few days ago suffice?
Sorry to ask this, but having waited a long time for the upgrade, I don’t want to risk being demoted again, but on the other hand, I don’t want to cause trouble to your system with 2 upgrade requests floating around in cyberspace.

Do you think it would be possible to have some sort of memorial for Trashman? He was a very valuable contributor to this forum, and he will be sorely missed.
Whether you loved him or hated him, you had to respect the man. His knowledge of our hobby and the sheer number of posts to this forum should warrant some recognition. I just don't know how to go about doing that.
I was on vacation and did not learn of his passing until I returned. He was a good man, a good friend and a great monger. I will miss our conversations.

Gee and my 200th post was to be something special. So a comment on the late, great Trashman seems appropriate.
Even in death his enemy continues his harangues. I too did a check and the last post the forum search engine shows for Trash is number 611 dated 25 May 04. I'd be interested in knowing what board the resurrected Trash made his post on the 28th.

You can get 'last online' information from any messages remaining in message tracking, not from PM's received.
But you don't absolutely have to know the login/password to log into WSG.
Trash may have had his pc set up to log in automatically; all it takes is cookies. Mine does this - in fact, just opening my Netscape browser automatically loads 10 web pages, WSG included. My cat doesn't care where I surf. :D
As posted here (http://www.wsgforum.com/vforum/showthread.php?s=&postid=257431&highlight=rest+in+peace#post257431) earlier, the Don was last online on 07-14-04 at 19:35, a few days before his death.
And as Dr.Monger and Stoner posted on the Baltimore board, chances are his family is discovering a few colorful Trashman facets previously unknown.

Civ2000 is right on target with his comments. Seva, AM, my eternal intention is to show as much courtesy as I receive. Tell me Otto, how is it courteous to post that he died of AIDS? Because some "unnamed" person who spoke only to you claims to have known him, and they told you so? It seems childish, vindictive and just plain spiteful to kick someone who cannot fight back. I doubt he really cares, whatever the road holds for him (heaven, hell or nothingness). But I truly see now how petty you are. I guess you figured this time you could finally get the last word.
Dr. Monger
P.S. He is dead, and he did not die of AIDS, no matter what your unnamed, unidentified, unknown source (you perhaps?) told you. I knew him well and personally outside this board.
Let us not feed the troll.
Those who are wrong will always go out of their way to prove it.
I will not feed the troll
I will not feed the troll
I will not feed the troll
I will not feed the troll
But it can be difficult sometimes!!!!
Those that need to have the last word must have someone to respond to.
No interaction, no last word needed, right councelor?
I will not feed the troll, he is already full of shit.
I am here to second, third or whatever the original request made by the Boxcc that there be some sort of memorial to one of the greatest wsg has known and now lost.
Respectfully,

Actually, the person who told me Trashman was dying from AIDS did so as part of a warning to stay away from his recommendations so that I wouldn't be at risk of contracting it either. Do I know for a fact he had AIDS? Nope. But neither do I know for a fact that he had cancer. Or even that he's really dead, given that his account is active a week after he is claimed to have shuffled off this mortal coil.
Hey, if what this dude told me was wrong, there's no great risk to me for heeding his warning. If what he told me was correct, there is enormous risk in shagging the Baltimore crack*****s and others that Trashman was so fond of. Personally, better safe than sorry, but you boys are all grown ups (allegedly - I have my doubts on occasion), so you can decide for yourselves.
Your choice, please don't let me interfere!
Cheers
Uncle Otto
PS - Remember what I said elsewhere, even nice people can get AIDS. Stating what I've been told is no slight on anyone's memory.
I would like to request a member upgrade, to Senior status.
If this request is denied, please inform me of the reason, so I can correct it for future consideration.
Thank You.
Hi,
There is a procedure for requesting an upgrade to Senior Member, and it doesn't include making a post in the Letters to the Editor Section.
Please read the Forum FAQ.
Thanks,
Jackson
And if I were to report the same about you, that someone told me you were carrying around such a disease, you wouldn't consider that an unwarranted slur on your character? It would simply be fair warning to the board? How disingenuous! In the real world it would be labelled slander or cheap rumor mongering. You, at the very least, would have the option of defending yourself, unlike the dead.
It's highly ironic, to put it mildly, that you, who have spent so much time complaining about people attacking each other and reminding people about the board's rules regarding personal attacks, would find no problem in posting unverified information such as this about a board member. I guess personal attacks and insults truly are in the eye of the beholder.

joe, if you knew the anything about slander, the first thing you'd know is that it is legally impossible to slander a dead person. indeed, since his "passing" i've said nothing negative except that it appears his account is still active after his "death."
second, you are free to say about me whatever you like and i have no doubt you will post whatever comes to mind at that particular moment, courtesy be damned. indeed, courtesy hasn't stopped a number of board members of saying all manner of rep001ological things about me in the past (even in the last couple of days), and i don't expect it to stop.
personally if i were making recommendations to sleep with this or that trixie, and you knew that i had aids, it would be highly responsible for you to warn fellow mongers about it. i'm glad somebody told me this about trashman, even though there was almost zero chance of drilling one of his crack*****s. even if it wasn't true (i have no way of knowing for sure), it was enough to remove even the slightest, smallest amount of desire to act on his recommendations.
cheers!
uncle otto
Well, I'll happily put my courtesy quotient up against yours or pretty much anybody else's. I don't believe I've posted anything discourteous toward you at any point -- I believe the most I've ever done was post an ironic thank you -- and have no intention of doing so in the future, as that simply doesn't tend to be my style.
That said, I fail to understand why you feel reporting an unfounded rumor that someone died of AIDS is not something negative. It may not fit the legal definition of slander but it certainly fits the dictionary one. And since you've posted repeatedly that you've no way of knowing for sure that Trashman is deceased, perhaps it truly does even fit the former. I don't think there are many here who have interpreted your report as a high-ground thing to protect other mongers, so even if that is the case your approach seems counterproductive.
But the essense of it is that the slope that leads to is people saying, well, I heard this or that monger sleeps with trannies or whomever, and of course I'm only reporting this to keep all you guys safe, then that gets to be all over the board in the form of still more personal attacks. This would seem to run counter to your oft-stated desire to help keep WSG free of such stuff.
Now, I happen to think people overreacted to your post regarding Trashman's account being accessed, but given the history between the two you perhaps that's not surprising, and it would probably have been more prudent to note the access privately to Jackson. But your report of such a rumor, and your phrasing ("even if it wasn't true" -- clearly implying yet again that it is) only makes it appear even more that it's simply a personal vendetta.
But I've stated my points, and that's all I have to say on the subject. I'm quite tired of all the flame wars that have engulfed WSG over the past months, and am uninterested in being a party to promote another.
Thank you, Jackson, as always, for providing this invaluable resource to us all.
Joe,
I just wanted to commend you on a truly excellent post. Articulate and well reasoned. Kudos.
Thanks Jackson, for doing all the work this board takes.

One need only do a perusal of today's Baltimore forum to see exactly what I was warned about. Yet another monger following Trashman's quite explicit advice has reported contracting an unspecified venereal disease.
Hey, but it's all my fault for pointing out the emperor has no clothes. I admit guilt.

I echo Dr. Monger. Well said. Those of us who were involved or just read the posts, know the extremes that Trashman went to to bring peace. In life, as in death, these were spurned.
I was listening to an oldies station the other day. They played a song very appropriate to Uncle Oneupman. The following is from Buffalo Springfields classic "For What Its Worth"
"Paranoia strikes deep,
Into your life it will creep.
It strikes when you're always afraid."
Actually the best approach, and I've been asking for this from all the participants might be the Paul Simon song
SOUNDS OF SILENCE
Let Otto spew his hate, that's his right. Ignore him. Report him to Jackson, just don't respond to him. Give him the last word, let him feel he's won. As long as we feed him, he'll continue to spawn. Take away his sustenance and he'll dry up and go away.

Dear Jackson,
I admit that you are the boss here and you are entitled to use your discretion regarding the acceptability or otherwise of a particular post either in part or full. In the same vein I assume that you allow us to complain if we feel that you are being arbitrary.
Of course this complaint is not against the forum members mentioned here in.
Example 0:
The reference to Bush was in jest I didnot know that you disallowed humour.
Example 1:
Chuponalgas Wrote;
"Part of every dollar you spend on GASOLINE goes to support cruel tyrannical dictators and terrorists. So get a bicycle."
You allowed.
I replied;
Dear Chuponalgas,
I like what you have said
"Part of every dollar you spend on GASOLINE goes to support cruel tyrannical dictators and terrorists. So get a bicycle."
VERY TRUE. 9/11 happened on account of America's dependence on oil imports. I would love to go on about this topic. Would the moderater allow? In my Utopia there would be no fossil fuel consumption. Everybody would be vegetarian. Thou shall not kill! It is just not efficient. Every kilogram of flesh ( pork, beef, lamb, chicken) commercially reared consumes enough resources to grow many times more kilograms of vegetarian food. Just wishful thinking on my part. If wishes were horses beggars would ride.
You disallowed my reply which was in resopnse to what is definitely political statement.
Example 2:
Here follows a part of Rock Dog's post
Yes, there's some bad things that go along with prostitution, but you can say that about almost anything. Put some gas in your car, money goes to foreign govt's that support terrorism. Buy anything at Walmart, some of your money goes to a country (china) with a terrible human rights record. Walk across the street and you might step on some ants. Where should you stop?
My response to the above comment which you expunged was;
Now a days:
Furs are no longer fashionable.
Carpets from India and else where are sold declaring non involvement of child labour.
Fewer elephants are slaughtered for ivory.
The Repuplic of South Africa is under majority rule.
A Swiss couple in Goa (India) was arrested and sentenced for paedophilia.
Holland has legalised cannabis.
A hole was found in the ozone layer, Where? In Antartica. This ozone layer among other things shields the earth from UV radiations reducing their intensity. So what if there is more of UV? Uv contributes to increased skin cancer. Whites being more susceptible. The result was refrigerators all over the workd use alternates to CFC in their cooling system, which was found to cause this hole.
Thee Walmart - China - Human rights link exists but it does not affect you directly.
Sir I didnot start the political discussion I RESPONDED. You did not allow. I most humbly request you to kindly oblige and justify your action.
I fully understand that this forum is dedicated to give information to its members about the availability of women for sex. I'm sure that the said sex is supposed to be between consenting adults. Where the consent is not coerced under duress. Ya I know women implies adults but what about the rest.

Uncle Musthavethelastword,
You state that some explicit advice that you attribute to TrashMan was followed and this lead to the contraction of an STD. Hmmmm.
What exactly was this explicit advice, how was this explicit advice unique to TrashMan, and how does following it result in contraction of STD's?
I'm waiting. I don't hear an answer.

I never paid attention to the personality clashes you've had with the Trashmen because it was inconsequential.
But to see you now parading around as you are really underscores your own personal problems and your character.
Most of us know that Trashman has passed on, you believe he's alive.
Dead or Alive, Trashman hasn't posted a word.
It's obvious here that in your personal disagreements with Trashman, he's won.
You can't shut up about him and Trashman hasn't said a word.
Trashman was always rude and nasty to me and to any other member who didn't share his preferences. He's dead, and I'm none the worse for it. A memorial wouldn't be appropriate.

After submitting the "Request Senior Membership Upgrade" form received an email back from "Mailblock" asking me (in response to my email and on behalf of WSG) to click on one of their links to confirm that I am a human, not a computer. Have RTFF and can find no reference to such a step in the upgrade procedure. Anyone else experienced this, or can anyone enlighten.
Thanks

That's not supposed to happen with the Senior Membership form, which is setup to go through the system automatically.
Is anybody else experiencing this siituation?

It is just me or has anybody else found that the "posts in the last 24 hours" section is not working ?? That was a handy section saving me from going through all the old posts over and over again.
Mr. Jackson,
As the person who controls this site, could you please provide a ruling on the scores of requests for a separate AMP section within the New York section. I really think that it will help many of us who have been asking repeatedly without a response thus far from you. Please let us know your answer which hopefully will be a "Yes" to keep your loyal customer base happy.
Thank you.
Yes, it's a great idea that I will implement in the near future, but not TODAY. I have my reasons.

Suggestion (Reverse order), although probably not implementable:
Add a button that says "Reverse Order" which would only apply to displayed results not the entire forum. I like left-right-top-bottom, but I seem to be reading a mix of left-right-top-bottom and bottom-top-left-right-top-bottom.
When posts are long and detailed like you like them your current display method falls apart for ease of use.
When the posts are short and sweet (fits on a page) the current display method is surperb.

Jackson,
Thank you for your hard work. Yes, I miss the search function, but, I actually think that it is good that it is down. I've been reading more posts from more sections and becoming more enlightened!
Personnally, I would like to have the search function, but I can live without it for a while. And, I think most of the others here can live without it too!
I also think that people should RTFF before they start complaining about a problem that has been discussed at length!
So, again, Thank you for your hard work, it is appreciated.

I also think that people should RTFF before they start complaining about a problem that has been discussed at length!
... or at least go to complaint in the appropriate forum. "Letters to the Editor" is not a garbage bin. ;) I sometimes also got the impression people are too lazy to find where problem should be reported and just dump everything here, even if answer has already been given in the appropriate forum.

Yes Otto, I think many of us realize you are dense. To put my post a bit more in perspective.
A month ago I reported to Jackson that the show all reports on a single page function was not working. A week or so later, Jackson responded to a similar post on this board that he was aware of the problem and was going to do nothing about then as he was planning on upgrading the software.
In the past couple of weeks, as many of us know, the several other features went down. Jackson responded to this with the post you so eloquently quoted (I had read it).
Does Jackson have to tell us what he's doing? Not really, but it would be some nice PR to get an idea how things are going. It might calm the natives abit.
I still say that Jackson is very under appreciated for the effort he puts into this board.

Hi Jackson
Been having the same problem as PosterLion. Any details as to when it will be repaired? Thanks!
Hi Jackson,
Whenever you identify a technical problem, such as the search fuction not working, it may be a good idea to post a message on the Forum's front page so that everyone knows that you are already aware of the problem. That would have 2 positive effects:
1. Posters wouldn't post endless messages, as below, to let you know that they have noticed a problem, which would save you time when reading this section as most of the useless posts related to that problem wouldn't probably appear.
2. It would also save us time, since we would be advised that there is a problem and wouldn't try to use faulty functions.
In this case a brief and simple piece of information located in the right place would save everyone's time and avoid a great number of useless posts.
Thanks for your invaluable work in this site.
PosterLion asked on 08-20-04 14:31:
Has anyone else been nagging you about this? Not many, really. Just about ten guys in the posts just below yours, 50 in the other forums (in particular the one dedicated to technical problems) and probably 500 by PM and/or email, if not 5000. :(

OttoGraham,
Thanks. I figured that it had to do more with not having enough time to fix it, than being as you put it "brain surgery".
I bet that at some point he has read some of these post regarding the technical issues, sat back and laughed, and said, "Damn! I've created a monster!!” LOL!!
Thankfully, reading/posting reports, works just fine. We all owe Jackson a lot for this site. I would have been so lost in the sauce without it for my travels.

Hi Jackson,
I was last week in Bangkok and stayed at the Majestic Suites. Visited Mr. Singh (Majestic Tailors) and had some suits made. He wants to convey his thanks for the recommendation.
I want to thank you also for the recommendation - he did a good job and the hotel was good. I will post under the Bangkok section a small report.
Keep up your good works

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF THE YOUR MESSAGES HERE WOULD HAVE REPLY NOTIFICATION. PLEASE CONSIDER ADDING THIS FEATURE TO THIS GREAT USEFULL SITE. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR TIME AND CONSIDERATION!
btw, anytime soon that last 24 hour and search gonna start working soon:)!
Hi,
Just a quick question for you. Is there a problem with the last 24 hours section? Everytime I click on the link I get a error message. Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you in advance
The search function is mal-functioning. I will fix it as soon as I have the time.
Jackson
HEy Jackson can you at a real time chat feature area specific!
Jackson,
It is my understanding that there are to be no pics of any girls from the USA. This obviously explains why the US has no photo section.
I have also noticed that certain other countries lack photo sections as well. Two examples are England and Canada. Does the same rule apply to other countries as well, or is it just the US?

Thank you Jackson!
You are providing an invaluable service to mankind. I am recommending you for the Presidential Medal of Freedom!
I was in Buenos Aires November thru January visiting my ex girlfriend. After a few weeks of the dinner party / concert circut, I became bored and started exploring at the local internet cafe. It was my first internet experience and I stumbled on to your site. My life has forever changed thanks to your forum.
In the way of a self introduction, I am a semi retired 54 year old from Las Vegas. My first P4P experience was in 1968 at the Mustang Ranch. I have been a serious monger since 1990 at which time my Argentine girlfriend of 6 years fled the country for her beloved Buenos Aires (curiously shortly after I bot her an apartment in Bel Grano). I swore then I would henceforth rent, and never buy my love.
I had not heard from her in over 13 years and then received a letter of condolence upon my father's passing. She invited me to visit and added the I was welcome to stay in her apartment. What Balls! This was an opportunity for revenge I could not pass. I came, I saw your forum, and I conquered every tart your site led me to.
In all my previous trips to B/A, she never let me out of her sight. Now I understand why. I had no clue P4P was so rampant. Only Thailand surpasses B/A in accessibility.
Thanks to your Forum, my stay in B/A was unsurpassed (as was my 2 months in Thailand). I have forgiven my ex for her trecherous deceit and we have come to an understanding. I may do as I please as long as I take her to dinner. I'll be spending 3 months this year and look forward to meeting you. As a token of appreciation for your good works, I will be supporting your charity.
By the way, I have a kitchen pass for Thanksgiving Dinner.
Your Forum is priceless. I am eternally grateful.
This may have been asked already deep in the pages somewhere, it seems almost every photo gallery section has a lot of discussions and regular posts in them. I guess this could be an all day and them some task to watch over though.
This idea of a chat feature has been brought up regularly, and I'd just like to weigh in as being against it. Although I absolutely think it could be very useful, I fear it would eat up tons of bandwidth, leading to the kind of forum unavailability we saw when non-members were viewing photos.

If you really want to chat, it's easy enough to set up an IRC channel and now that we have private messages, you could message each other with what time to 'meet' in the chatroom.
I've always liked the idea of chat myself, but check out the WSG front page - there are now over 80,000 members. Imagine how huge the chatroom section would have to be!

I didn't know where else to post this, so I'll post it here. I can receive your answer or whatever via feedback if you like, in case I don't find my way back to this section.
My suggestion is for the threads to list oldest first, newest reply last. That is normally how forums run. They also can be broken up into more subforums than the 3 we have now (Hawaii Section).
It would make it easier to research what are good amps, sw's, etc. instead of searching thru 50k pages of replies. Know what I mean?
If you need help, I'd be more than happy to help out with the Hawaii Sections.

Jackson,
I'd like to thank you for the return of the search function. I'd also like to follow up on a post by Sabbatical from 22 July. He reported the print all posts on a single page function was not working. Your response was that it was irrelevant because you were going to be upgrading the software.
Is the irrelevant because the new software will not have that feature, or because the new software will fix the problem. If the latter, when can we expect to see this feature back in operation?
Again, many thanks for the super effort you put into keeping this board going.
Hello Jackson,
I like your site a great deal and also meet some great friend at the process.
I was wondering if there is a way to see the picture easier? Maybe like a phote section that all the photos go to. I just like seeing all the photos from other parts of the world but hard to find when they been there for a long time.

Hi Jackson,
I'm afraid there are still some problems with the Forum Search function. When I do a search by keywords for any date, it only brings up posts made in the last month.
As an example, just try a search for "Atlantis" in the "Germany FKK Clubs" forum or for "tochka" in the "Russia" one. There should be tons of posts and only the September 2004 ones have been found.
Sorry to bring this back to the table (or have I been doing something wrong?).:(

GandJim's problem does exist, but not for the United States boards. I did some searches yesterday and earlier today that gave me posts going back to at least last year.
Tried some specific entries in both Europe and Asia and only got posts from this month. This may help in the troubleshooting when you get to it.

Not that this post will cause any changes (since the moderator is so good at ignoring member suggestions!), but I will put it up anyway:
Why do we as members need to know how many members have been "upgraded" from Regular to Senior Member between given dates? I mean, who the fuck cares? Also, why hasn't there been ANY re-organization of the CALIFORNIA board yet? That damn board has nearly 20,000 posts (MORE THEN ANY OTHER!), and yet it continues to remain "geographically challenged" with members having to post about some VERY active areas (e.g. Bloomington) inside of others (e.g. San Bernardino!), while others (Cotati, Modesto) continue to have their own areas in spite of not being very active areas. If this whole WSG Forum board is supposed to be based on WHERE THE ACTION IS (or is it?), then BRING SOME DAMN GEOGRAPHIC ORGANIZATION TO IT! If half the effort of the moderator was put into this instead of letting members know how many members made "senior member status" it would be a MUCH BETTER BOARD! Hell, as it is, I am told on the forum sign in page that I am a "Senior Member", but that I can "upgrade to Regular Member"! And you wonder why there are duplicate member upgrade requests? Perhaps a FOCUS on these issues can get the moderator to have to do LESS WORK on this board (as if any is being done at all in any case!).
Good grief, Redneck3565, have you ever actually run anything like this? I have -- with fewer members, more people working on it, and it was still overwhelming.
Perhaps you should ask Jackson to refund your money, since you're such a dissatisfied customer.
Jackson,
Thanks for restoring the Forum Search function. However, it seems to work only back to when it was restored. Is there any chance that it can be fully restored, i.e., to the point that we can search as far back as possible, as we used to be able to do? I have some old posts that I would like to look up, but have been unable to do so. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Lorenzo
Jackson, thank you very much for all the hard work that you do. Idiots like Redneck3565 don't have a clue what you do.
Here's a hint Redneck, Jackson posts all those figures just to show how much work goes into the day to day maintenance of this forum.
Also, if you don't live in California, or any other particular place, it is very hard to break down things geographically when you don't know the fucking geography to begin with!
That is what this comments section is supposed to be used for. If you think sections should be combined, or even new sections added, this is the place that you would request Jackson do that for you. If you ask nice enough, he may get around to answering you. If you blast him the way you did, I wouldn't blame him if he let you rot forever!
How this backwoods inbreeder known as Redneck3565 ever attained senior status is beyond me!

You must be one of those guys who doesn't let things get to him. I would have booted Redneck about 30 posts ago. But then again I'm fairly quick to anger.
It seems that most of his posts lately have been complaints about you. I would ban him and let him start his own forum.
I would delete his five latest "whines" and ban him as a serial antagonist.

Thanks guys,
If you think that what he posts in the Forum is obnoxious, you should read the emails he sends to me.
I've responded to his emails, but this guy just can't accept that I have a very good reason for not re-organizing the California section at the current time, and that I also have a very good reason why I can't tell him my reasons.
BTW, I post the upgrade numbers specifically so those who are waiting for an upgrade know that progress is being made, and hopefully to keep a lid on duplicate requests. The complete list of what it take to maintain this Forum on a daily basis includes:
1. Reviewing / editing / approving approximately 700 new reports.
2. Answering approximately 100 emails every day, including lost passwords, user name changes, log in problems, reported posts, complaints about other members, requests to be upgraded ahead of everyone else, and answering a lot of questions that are already addressed in the Forum FAQ.
Thanks,
Jackson

Jackson,
I noticed something on the site announcement page. There's a small section at the top that informs us that all pending regular membership upgrade requests from before a certain date have been processed. I'm assuming that this is to show the pending members that progress is being made.
Is it possible to do the some similar sort of thing for pending senior members? That way, we'd have a better idea if we'd been approved or not.

Jackson,
Thanks for the forum, it's great.
I have a suggestion that might help you reduce erroneous 'regular member upgrade' requests. Even though you've already made me a regular member, there is a link on the main index that says 'request upgrade to regular member.' There's also a statement about not needing to make that request if you're already a regular member, but it doesn't really stand out. Maybe you could make that link show up only for Viewing Members, or emphasize the other statement more?
Jackson:
Ever since seing the new addition some time ago in the Pennsylvania section labeled "Philadelpia AMP list", I felt that there had to be a better way to be clearer. Sometimes it has the connotation of "list list" or "board board" or the wrong definition of list. i.e. a list of AMP names.
I propose changing the name of this forum to either:
Philadelphia's AMP scene -or-
Philadelphia's MP scene
You could also have:
Philadelphia's SW scene
for street walkers
and, of course the catch all:
Philadelphia
To cover escorts/independents and other brothels.
You could use this same convention for other high traffic areas as well.
Just a thought.

I love the website and I’m extremely hooked on it. However, I usually look at it at work (since I can’t at home because of the wifey) and I’ve never had problems. But the company I work for has strict rules against pornography on the web. They have firewalls that will not let you look at most porn sites. I was just wondering if the IP address of this website in any way indicates businesses that this is a site their employees should not be looking at? Or can it interpreted as just your regular forum on the web?

Beer Guzzler, I have encountered the same problems accessing this site from my place of business also. If I type, www.*************.org, I get booted because the firewall will not grant me access to a domain with sex in the title.
However, if I enter, www.wsgforum.com, I have no problem accessing the forum and even viewing the pictures on the forum. But, if I click on the *************.org icon under the blue WSG Forum banner, it still won't give me access to the home page of WSG.
Try www.wsgforum.com to see if that can circumvent the firewalls the the MIS Nazis try to erect to keep us pure of mind, body and spirit! lol.

I am just a poster on this board, NOT the star attraction. If I wanted to have long chats in private with horny strangers, I would join a dating site. I come here to engage with others in a public forum. To become a member of the WSG solely to gain access to my private mailbox is a complete violation of Jackson's trust and if I think that's what you're doing, I will not respond to any of your messages.

Like you, this is my 300th post.
In this case, I tend to support Jack Sprat III. Otto is one of those posters who is either loved or hated. Having been on boards that have nearly been destroyed by Otto's pompous attitude, I am one of the latter.
I tend to blame this entire mess on Otto. I mean why did Otto even have to say anything? As one of the "Most Senior Members", one would think he would know better. As Jack pointed out, his original post was not directed to him. As Freeler asked, "We"???
Jack made a minor mistakes in his intial post. That was to post the request here in the 'letters to the editor' rather than in the 'suggest new topics'. He made a second when he failed to ignore Otto.
Back on August 19th, Baltimonger posted some interesting comments on Otto in the Baltimore, Maryland board. Some worthwhile reading.
Jack, just a piece of advice from one who has gained the enmity of Uncle Otto. When he attacks you, and now that you have stood up to him, he will continue to attack you, ignore him. Report his posts to Jackson and let Otto "pontificate" to himself.
I will say one thing for Otto, he has the tenacity of a bulldog. Once he sinks his teeth in, he does not let go.

otto,
you seem to have your own realm to play in - why try to pick on folks trying to help other mongers in a different area? if you were ever in this area (more than 1,000 people?) it must have been 30 or more years ago. i was commenting on the lack of action in waukegan and north chicago. i don't recall mentioning gurnee at all.

Dear Jackson,
I love this site, and thank you very much for your hard work and dedication.
I was very happy to have posted my 300th report in Republica Dominicana last week. Without this site, I would have never known about the wonderful world of P4P outside of my little corner of the map.
I do have one concern however: When I was posting in the internet café's down there, I absentmindedly forgot to log off several times before going offline. Would it be possible to change the forum software to automatically log off a user, and clear all their cookies, who is not online?
I've used public computers in the US which typically have cookies disabled, so this is not normally a problem here.
I am concerned that someone else could log in using someone else's username (just by clicking "enter the forum") and post reports and photos under that name. This can definitely become a major security issue if the wrong person with questionable morals were able to make clandestine posts in this manner.
This would also be a help to those who might be concerned that another person in their household or workplace could find out information about their, most likely secret, mongering life.
I'm sure a lot of others might be against this suggestion, due to the fact that the current system allows our profile to be logged and cookied while offline, eliminating the need for us to re-enter our username and password each time we log on.
K.J. Baltimonger
Baltimonger, all anyone has to do to prevent that is to use the "Change Your Password" option once you return from using such a public computer, or turn the cookies option off before heading overseas and then turn it back on when returning.
Putting the onus on members to control their options and protect themselves seems to me a better approach than making things tougher on all members because some are careless.
Changing your password might seem like an easy option to make when taking a trip away from your personal computer, but not exactly a good one for your own machine. I'm not sure if the disable cookies feature (in the user option in the control panel) even works, since I clicked no, but my browser is still storing the pages I visit here, even after I clicked clear history in the internet options in my browser (IE 6). If I were married or with GF, and had to go into the hospital all of a sudden, my SO would be able to track down my secret llife.
I have several email accounts. Some of which allow one button login, some that show username with one button, but still require complete input of the password, and 1 account which requires complete inupt of both username and password. I like the latter feature the most, since it does not give my browser an option to store this info.
When in the DR, I always clicked "no" when the browser asked me if I wanted to automatically store this info. The browser (IE 6) was also set up to keep me from being able to clear the history in the internet options.
Another feature in the user options I've never seen work is the pop up notification of a PM, even though my option is yes. Is this one actually on? I get more than one PM each day. I'm sure somewhere along the line I should have seen this pop up.
Baltimonger,
If you go through the InternetSecurity section you will find several ways to safely remove stuff on your home computer.
When using public computers always take GREAT care by looking for ticked boxes that indicated the saving of usernames and passwords!
After you signed out (don't EVER forget to sign out!) use the back button to see if your login session really has expired.
For increased safety: don't use email programs, just sign in on the web (and don't EVER forget to sign out!).
MyIE has a working (!) cookies, history and temporary internetfiles delete function on closing MyIE.
I just saw they now have a different name, go here and try it:
http://www.myie2.com/index2.htm
The computer storing temporary pages and storing the password/ID are two different issues. The temporary pages are stores in the computer's internet cache, and it does this with every page you visit. There's really no option for turning that off, though you can clean out the cache. The option of turning off cookies most definitely does work -- I've used it on any number of occasions when traveling, and it forces me to sign in again each time I head to the forum, basically the option you prefer. You have to put in both ID and password unless you've specifically directed your computer to store such things.
I agree on the pop-up notification -- I've never seen it. Perhaps this is simply an option that Jackson has not turned on, even though it's selectable in the user options.

Re: Safety on the Internet and cookies.
The Internet is a dangerous place and you never know who may be monitoring your activities. PC software, particularly WINDOWS, is pathetically insecure. Your hard drive may contain many things you would not like others to see, even if you think you deleted it!
I devised a cheap and foolproof method of getting rid of all traces of your Internet surfing from your PC. This also works if you pick up a virus you can't get rid of.
It is tedious to create but your PC can always be in a pristine state. (Hey! I'm a poet!).
You need to have software that will make a backup of your system to CDR (NERO Burning ROM is the one I use).
1. Take a backup of your hard drive before you start all this, so that if something gets hosed you can always restore to this backup.
2. Copy to a different CDR all of your preferred site addresses and Email address book. I set mine up using WORD so that I can cut and paste the addresses to the action bar and hit "GO". Find a good hiding place for this disk.
3. Perform a FULL reformat your hard drive to clean off everything.
4. Load your WINDOWS software - from scratch.
5. Reinstall all the other applications you use - from scratch (Virus scan, ISP, Word processor, CD player, NERO, etc.).
6. Fire up your Firewall software and set preferences.
7. Log In to your ISP (at this point you have NO cookies(and NO viruses), so you will have to go through the login procedure) and set up your preferences (Click on VIEW and then set up your Internet settings).
8. Open up your Email account (you should not have lost any of your Email or address book).
9. Logoff your ISP. (Your computer is now pristine with basic ISP cookies and NO viruses).
10. Take a backup to CD of your hard drive again. This will be your Start-up set.
11. Test this Start-up set by running it to restore your hard drive including accessing your ISP. If it works OK, destroy the backup you took at step 1 by melting the CDs with a blowtorch to get rid of all previous evidence.
12. You can now cruise the Internet with a modicum of confidence. Every time you think you have too much incriminating stuff on your hard drive, restore to the Start-up set. Remember, every photograph you download and every site you visit can be extracted from your computer by an expert (LE?) unless you periodically wipe it clean!
13. P.S. A tip on downloading photographs and movies: Never go direct to your hard drive. I use a ZIP 100 mb drive and then copy to CD. After the copy to CD, I delete the files on the ZIP disk and then copy the huge "Program Files" folder to the ZIP disk. This ensures a complete overwrite of every track on the ZIP disk ensuring security.
EDITOR'S SUGGESTION: This is interesting, but you might consider re-posting it under the Internet Security topic in the Site Adminstration section of the Forum where it will benefit the Forum Members who are specifically looking for this type of information. Thanks!

Hi Jackson
I know that you had a problem with the Search facility some time ago and have now fixed it but I wonder if there is still a small glitch which perseveres?
Some time ago I had a problem searching for something and you sorted it quickly - I just got the usual 'try something else' window. It appreared that this was managed quite simply but entering the most obvious word will not show in some of the countries - Thailand being a good example.
Anyway - if you can remember how you solved it previously, it would be appreciated (and, I expect, for others who may be a bit mystified) I think that it is the more 'long-dated' posts which fail to appear?!
Thanks

Is a retired member still allowed to Post ??

adleZ was 'forcibly retired', for...well, let's just say repeatedly disobeying forum guidelines.
And if what DH said about you was an 'attack' - then what you've been laying on ME for the past week would equate to a full-scale 'shock and awe' assault. And you don't see ME running to Jackson for backup.
The Morality section is an OPINIONS thread. You are fully entitled to your opinion, but the rest of us are also entitled to disagree with it and give our own. However, the latest 'attacks' in question were not to decry your opinion. They were in response to your arrogance, vulgarity and total lack of respect.
You've belittled me in every post, you've straight out called me a liar twice and every other nasty comment you've made about working girls indirectly insults me, and you know it. But DH criticises your writing style and suddenly the sky is falling?? Get over yourself - and if you can't take the heat, then stop trying to light a fire under my ass.

What sense are you making? You think that the opinion based boards are a waste of bandwidth because they invoke flaming?
You seem wise enough to know that opinions differ and where differences occur so does "flaming". Politics and religion are two prime examples.
I would have no dissent regarding your post except that you defend SA as a worth while contribution. The problem is that SA says things for the sole enjoyment of starting flame wars and pissing matches. This is far worse offense than getting involved in a heated exchange based on opinions.
You are merely defending a freind who is far more involved in the very offense you complain about. Your attempt to sanctify his motives is smoke and mirrors at best.

Actually, the quote on keeping your mouth shut came from Mark Twain. Though he also said he'd never had an original thought.
Regardless, I am finding it extremly interesting the flames Jack Spratz III is getting for defending himself. Jack posted a valid question, all be it on the wrong board, and out of the clear blue, a "Most Senior Member" jumps up and ridicules him. For what purpose did he do that? How would you have reacted in Jack's place?
One thing about being new to WSG, is it very easy to go back and read previous postings. Before I came to Jack's defense, I went out and read his other posts. For being new to WSG and in a limited area of travel, his posts have been informative. I think Jack has the potential to be an excellant Senior Member. His post on internet security in this board was extremely well done and highly informative.
If you are going to flame anyone, ask the "Most Senior Member" why he felt he had to jump in as he did. Had he not put fingers to keyboard, this thread would not be taking place.
As Senior Members, I think it is our place to help new members. We all newbies once ourselves. There are times when a new member deserves to be admonished (and Jack's original post was not one of them and the response not an admonishment, but ridicule). As our "Most Senior Member" pointed out in some now, Administrator, deleted posts in the Northern VA board, admonishment should come from Jackson and not us.

Seva Lurker,
I have to disagree. Although I have nothing against Jack Spratt and even found his rebuttle amusing, it was a tad overboard.
He posted about a new section and Otto questioned the need for the new board as a potential waste. There is nothing wrong with that question, not was it inflamatory.
A prime example is the request that was made for an Ocala, FL section. The one who requested it has one post in it and it's a dead section by all standards.
Jack Spratt's reaction to Otto was somewhat excessive to say the least.
Here's the dialog:
If we do that, why not a Lake Villa thread too? I once got laid by a girl who once drove through there.
Uncle Otto
Dear Uncle Otto,
My suggestion was to the moderator of this board and was intended as a helpful addition to it.
Your reply was specious and unhelpful in its entirety. I doubt if you could find Lake Villa let alone find a hooker there.
I checked up on your previous posts and it doesn't seem like you have been laid in this millenium or have aided any other mongers in achieving contact in the same time period.
'WE?" (Jackson - is he really a pal of yours?)
Otto comes across as an elderly curmugeon who enjoys to pontificate without actually providing any help.

Jackson,
I have today found that Google indexes all of the posts on this board. Whilst I use a pseudonym, my geographic location has caused me to be identified personally. This came about as a result of somebosy doing a Google search and making a not too difficult jump of intuition.
Might it be possible to amend the coding of the pages so that Google only indexes the initial pages, where nobody is identified, by name, or handle. In the mean time, is it possible to change my handle such that all references to Dusty Bin are changed to the new version? (I realise that name references in posts can not be changed, but I hope it is possible for user names on the left hand panel.)

no offence intended. when i was a viewing member, i chose "jack spratt" because i don't like fat women. ("jack spratt could eat no fat", etc). the forum did not indicate at that time that there were any other "jack spratts". when i got updated to a regular member, my assigned id changed to "jack spratt iii".
i will gladly change my id to a unique one. is there a list of member ids anywhere that i can peruse to find a unique id?

i admit that as a newbie to the forum i was a bit peeved to get a condecending put-down from a "senior member" in my first posts to the board. i looked at his posts 'til i got really bored about finding nothing of substance (other than supporting his own ego and putting down other members) and if my feisty reply upset a few members then i truly apologise. i also admit i'd had more than a few beers that night!
my replies to the flaming lap-dogs of said "senior member" were, however, heartfelt and deserved. sorry for my retaliatory flaming on this board, but they started it.
this still doesn't cover why a "senior member" should be absolved of guilt in this issue.
in fact, if you have the appelation of "senior member" should you not be held to a higher standard of posting instead of sitting there, incoherently pontificating like jabba the hutt?
in conclusion (and i promise i will write no more on this subject ) i joined this board to find more places to get laid and to share my experiences with those of likewise mind (read my posts - i like to fuck women!).

There seems to be a growing trend of politically motivated posts in the forums. Perhaps a section for us to argue and debate political topics, so as not to have it lead into other areas of the forum?
There have been numerous political statements made in many of the forums over the past few weeks. I really wanted to respond to some of them, but out of respect of those posts being in purely mongering sections, I refrained. If we had a specific area to discuss these topics, other mongers would be able to tell those wanting to discuss political topics, to go to that specific designated forum, thus keeping it from bogging down the mongering sections.
Just a thought.

Sorry to say this jackson, but I think the new site format is a step backwards than an improvement. Although the ubiquitous vBulletin format in use (here) and almost everywhere is quite good, but I've found the old WSG format (which I havent seen anywhere else except WSG) to be superior in terms of user-friendliness, simplicity and clarity. Why change something wonderful to something else just because others are doing so? I'll really miss that old bland, gray format that served its purpose so well.
Cheers

excellent and much appreciated work, jackson -- i can see by the little bit of poking around i've done thus far that this will be a big improvement once various bugs are squashed and things optimized so the speed perks up. i can already say i like having photos display in the already open window, i like the increased user options, which i look forward to exploring further, i like the quick links, and i'm intrigued by the calendar option. i also can see that i'm going to completely fall in love with the ability to "search this thread" which will make it much easier to find old information.

I cannot return to the place I left, when I log out. It takes me back to the state before I added my reports. So, I cannot see my new reports added...
Ability to attach more than one photo is just GREAT. Congratulations for that.
The sorting, or order of posts is somewhat confusing. It may be REALLY confusing for older members who are not computer geniuses like most of the members of this forum.
Also, the last 24 hours function does not work. It asks for spesific words or search phrases, although I operate the section at the bottom, rather than a word search.
I have to agree with JP2U jackson,
I think that the new improvement is a step back. The old site was a lot more user friendlier. I happen to like the old look. The new look is not that bad, but navigating through it and getting to what you need to see is a bother.

Thanks for spending arduous hours revamping this great website. Your efforts do not go unnoticed.
Unfortunately, I'm starting to feel a little lonely in the Orange County Board, as mongers have not posted much lately. I think it has to do with the fact that the front page of the website is dead (www.wsgforum.com). Some of the mongers who are not computer savvy might think that the whole website is down. Jackson has decided again to go a step further in order to streamline the flow and classification of pussy data.
This is clearly the most powerful source of information on global mongering that has ever appeared on Earth.
The statue of Cristo Redentor in Rio should be replaced with an even bigger and more magnificent statue of Jackson.
Permanently illuminated too, Jackson’s image would dominate the skyline of the greatest sex Mecca, symbolising his conquest of knowledge of where to find the best pussies in the world.
I always wished wsg could use this format, but I didn't think it was possible for a board that already has such a wide scope. Could there be a risk that too many of the geographical sections start creating too many multiple threads? Or is the entire system (server or whatever) able to handle this OK?
Does anyone else think there should be some very general guidelines to follow for starting a new thread? I've seen boards with much smaller scope become a bit unwieldy because some people get "new thread happy."
Example: in a local mongering board where I live I started a new thread for each one of the AMPs in our area. Some of these will lay dormant for days or maybe even weeks without a new post. Then when someone has a fresh report he starts a new thread reporting about an experience he had at one of the AMPs that already has a thread started. So while I'm wondering if I had already started more threads than were needed, others seem to want to start a new thread for each new experience.
I know Jackson has his hands full and I'm definitely not trying to add to the "to do" list. Just wanting to jumpstart a discussion that can maybe lead to experienced and senior members helping get a good start to this new format by policing their own local areas of interest.
Hi guys,
I agree with what RealFun has just stated. Some people might get excited about starting a new thread, just to see their names highlighted. This might spoil the entire user-friendliness of the board, and would make it really confusing.
Jackson: I do have a suggestion though (you may or may not take it) to set up a few guidelines to set up a new thread.
1) Only let senior members (with 150+ posts) who have a proven track record (in the country from which they're trying to post a new thread) be allowed start a new thread. (E.g. in the UAE forum, the likes of 11Bravo, JustSumFun, Spordiac...)
2) Even in such a case let them apply for it by asking your permission, and once you've cleared it only then should they be able to start the thread.
This way you could still monitor the forum and stop it from going awry. All suggestions are in the interest of the board. But i have to say, you’re doing an excellent job.
Have fun.

Great job as usual, I love the new look.
That's a good point and I agree that some guidelines should be introduced regarding the creation of threads: if you create a thread for, say, 'AMP Lovely Pussy' within one city, no one else should be allowed to create any other thread for that AMP and all information about Lovely Pussy should be posted in that single thread, otherwise we'll end up with hundreds or thousands of repetitive threads, which is what's hapenning in some lawless boards where this system is out of control and they are a complete mess.
I'm sure that Jackson will sort this out.
I've noticed a very IMPORTANT function is now limited. The search function, it seems, has only indexed posts since the change to the new software, not previous posts. This is a severe limitation.
e.g., looking for "cyclone" (most popular bar/disco) in the UAE section, restricting search to "2 weeks and older" produces no hits. It should return literally 100's.
Any plans to have search engine index all posts?
Rolly Polly
10-25-04, 12:29
I'm not for the ability to start new threads at all. There is another boards, with a similar name, that is a total mess to weed through and get info because everyone starts their own threads.
11Bravo,
I'm not sure your problem is only happening now and is due to the change of software.
I have already reported the same problem in the Search function here (http://www.wsgforum.com/vforum/showthread.php?p=285004#post285004), just after this function has been restored. It happens only for some forums, not for all (see post from Seva Lurker here (http://www.wsgforum.com/vforum/showthread.php?p=285052#post285052)).
So Jackson is aware of the problem, just give him some time. To help him sorting this out, maybe you can let him know if, between Sept 12 (date the Search function has been restored, but still had problem finding old posts) and now, you have tried it in the UAE forum and managed to find old posts, and no longer only now (in which case problem is due to new software) or, between Sept 12 and now, you have not tried this Search function yet, or only in other forums which did not had this problem like the United States (and problem may not be due to new software)

You have me there. It seems that searching on user name does work; it's the keywords that don't.
Can't remember the last time I searched on a keyword, so can't answer the question of was this functionality restored when SE was. I really only search in the UAE thread; can't speak of elsewhere.
Of course, I should have searched on "search" keyword before posting. Oh well, live and learn.
I understand that Mr. Jackson will put this on the to-do list, to be worked off in good time.

Gauntman, it's the little red icon with the exclamation point on the top righthand side of a message.
LMAO! That was good!:D
Jackson, I just want to add my vote of thanks.
The forum is superb. I like the new format and features too, well done!
