I've started this new thread to provide a centralized location to catalog the Forum's best travel reports. Here's the idea:

If you have written one or several detailed travel reports, or if you know of such reports, then please post the link here.

You may also include a short summary of the nature of the report.

A sample report would be something like this:

Anyone know a good farmacia to get Viagra in Panama City?

I will be making my first trip to Panama in about a week, and thought I would ask the advice of other forum members who may have already purchased some Viagra in Panama.

I know in Costa Rica you do not need a prescription to buy it. But how about Panama? Yes or no?

Also does anyone have the recent prices of the 50 mg dose or the 100mg dose of Viagra from any Panama sources. (any pharmacies located in Panama City).

I have purchased a generic Viagra with the brand name - "Sildenafil Calox" before from several farmicias in San Jose at a fairly cheap price. (usually running about $ 1. 75 per 50 mg pill). But wonder if it's available similarly in Panama City.

Sildenafil Calox was the name on the generic Viagra that I got. It's a blue trianglier (sp) pill - like the orginal. And they sure seem to work the same. Normal dose is 50 mg. If you get the 100mg pill, then cut them in half.

I have heard from G____Man, a native Panamanian, and he says that you need a prescription for this type of medication in Panama. But if you know the right guy in the right place, and 'grease his palm' some. Then it can be had without a script.

You don't need a script. Just go to the drugstore and tell them what you want. It is a little expensive there but not difficult to buy. I don't know where they are getting their information but I have bought it all over panama without a script, including Panama city.

The Bolero's I know of is on Calle 42?, a block from Ave Balboa, just south of Parque Urracá and that odd building with a big white arc. It has a white circular sign hanging out front.

I went there once, in about August 05, with a (legit) girlfriend. I didn´t notice any obvious working girls at the time. It was very dark inside, and relatively small.

Now that I think about it, I recall thinking that the clientele was a tad older than normal. The GF had noted that she and her friends used to visit there more frequently in her younger days.

Hmmm... now I'm not sure what to think about that. She and her friends had a bit of a buscagringo flair about them.

I arrived at the airport tonight about 9:30. As I was looking for a publice phone to call a non-pro that I met online, a guy asked me if I needed a taxi. I asked him how much to the Hotel Europa. He said he knew a better cheaper place and would charge me $27 from the airport. I told him that I would give him $20. We settled on $20 + tolls. I said that I needed to use the phone first. He said that I could use his cell on the way to the hotel. Cool.

I arrived at the Hotel Montreal and they did not have any singles available for $21 so I was forced to a double for $27. I gave the driver $22.40 but he wanted another $3 for the use of his cell (I was on it a good bit). He offered to take me out later but could not give me any solid info on where and how much it would cost me so I 86ed him. I went up to changed clothes and came down to ask another guy where La Mercado was. He said it was dangerous there but he would take me. We didn´t secure any prices.

Arrived at La Mercado and was actually looking for the club La Mayor that I had heard about. However, he took me into La Gavilan which is actually connected to La Mayor through a hallway. I chose a girl, tall and thick like I like them, and she tried to get me for $50. Luckily a fellow mongerer had already told me the going rate in La Mercado was $10. So I told her $10 and she agreed and said not to tell anyone.

When we got to the room she told me her name was Cristina and asked me my name. I told her that names were not important just get undressed. Later on I found out that her name is really Maria and Cristina is just her work name. Also she is from Cali and has 3 kids...boyfriend died 8 years ago. She was kind of cute but looked like she let Bozo the Clown do her makeup. In a strange way it turned me on though. She asked me if I would come back tomorrow and I told her no. I went back downstairs and the driver took me next door to Bocatereña.

Many pros inside appeared to be from the retirement home, but there were a few diamonds in the rough. I took another tall, thick one. She tried to get me for $40 but I told her $10 as well. When we went to the back room she wanted to put on KY. I was not allowing it. There was no way I was coming all the way down to Panama to monger with $10 worth of KY. She had a bad attitude from the start. She didn´t want to remove her shirt. I played with her mind a bit. I got off of her and told her that I am leaving to get my money back. She started to cooperate only a little. I told her that she was beautiful but had a terrible attitude. Come to find out that she was from Cali as well. I finished and went back to the bar.

Soon a stallion walked in. She said she was from Punta Canta, DR. I asked her how much for the whole night. She told me $150. I asked her was she smoking something. The body was tight but not $150 worth of tight. She said that the rate is usually $40/hr but she could do all night for the $150. I had to let her go. We headed back to the hotel and I gave the guy $20 for taking me out.

After a while I was bored and the desk clerk at the hotel told me that I should go to La Bodeguita because it is open until 6 and it has a lot of girls. I took a taxi there for $1.25. There were a few 9s and 10s...but again most were from Colombia. I met a guy in there from Israel who said he had been living here for 2 years now and all of the girls in the club are pros. I told him that I knew that but what is the going rate. He said that they will start off asking for $100 but I could get them for $60 for an hour or 2. There again I couldn´t dig it. Not after coming off $10 a pop in La Mercado. I guess I am spoiled from being in Brazil when the Real-Dollar exchange was 4 to 1. He told me that all the girls were from Colombia. I asked why. He said that they get paid better here. I like dammit I have been to Colombia 5 times. If I wanted to monger with Colombians I would have gone there. I definitely didn´t come to Panama to pay Colombians more that what I pay them in Colombia.

So now I am back at the hotel and a nonpro is supposed to be coming over at 8 in the morning. It is 4:35 now so I better get some rest and continue tomorrow.

You'll go 2 blocks south of Calle 52 and the Executive Hotel if you're looking to your right while walking, and one block if you're looking to your left. Anyway, just walk south of Executive Hotel to the highway, then go to the right (west) two blocks and it will be on your right.

Be aware of dual tier pricing in Panama. Through a travel agent in Panama City, the Decameron quoted $53 for a room all inclusive and Playa Blanca was $55 all inclusive, single person. When I went to reserve and pay, the price jumped to $87 and $85 respectively, since I did not have a Panama identity card. If you still want to book at either of these 2 resorts, I hear the food is better at Playa Blanca, especially breakfast.

The Eurohotel now has a sign behind the main desk which states "visitors are not permitted in guest rooms". The rate was $55 a night. There is a pensionada right beside the Eurohotel which had a low occupancy rate most nights, and is probably cheaper.

Las Vegas suites quoted $77 a night.
