I've started this new thread to provide a centralized location to catalog the Forum's best travel reports. Here's the idea:

If you have written one or several detailed travel reports, or if you know of such reports, then please post the link here.

You may also include a short summary of the nature of the report.

A sample report would be something like this:

Our very helpful friend Santa has made an excellent point to me, via private communication, about the kind of report one would add to this thread. When the Administrator suggests that it may be added by the author or another member to the ROD, it is clearly with an intention to use one's discretion. As Santa has said, there is needs to be something of real value, rather than being "just another session" being described.

With great regard for his valuable contributions, I have no hesitation in adding his comment here:


I was wanting to tell you this before, but somehow kept slipping my mind. This is with reference to posting links to ROD. I have noticed that you post almost all the reports that the moderator asks anyone of us to do if we feel that the same warrants it. In most cases that you have linked they are not worth a mention. An ROD according to me should be one which after a period of time (12 months - 3 years) should have special info which might not be available to future mongers, which should help them get laid. It definitely should not be about personal experiences. How do I explain it ? Why don't you look up the links that me has posted. That might give you an idea. It should have the positives as well as the pitfalls. Just my 2 paise worth. As of now as a new person to India, if I start pulling out reports from ROD, am just gonna get a lotta riff raff. Or maybe my expectations are high. Which again is why I wasn't sure whether to post this in the forum. If you wanna post this, then there is a clear NOC from my side.
