I will be back to Thailand from 26th of July till 20th of August.

At the moment I booked an hotel in Bangkok from 26th of July till 3rd of August, then I am thinking what to do. It may be some days in Pattaya and then back to Bangkok.

I am Italian, 45 years old. I speak English. I am quite an expert tourist: I did around six trip in Thailand, for a total of around 4-5 months in Thailand.

Will be making my first trip to Bangkok, with a side trip to Angor what and probably one to Pattaya at some point over the two week period. Traveling alone and would love to meet up with anyone who is interested in getting a drink, a meal, or pretty much anything else. I'll buy the first round and might even pick up a meal check.

If any football / futbol / soccer fans are around, I plan on catching the Bangkok United v Rayong FC match which if my time calculations are correct is at 1900 on Aug 18th. Might be fun, with or without a date.

I am in Bangkok and I would stay till 11st of August.

How's it going everyone? I'm wondering if there are any ExPats living full-time in Thailand, Vietnam or Philippines that would like to get together in mid-November, or share their perspectives on here.

Without doxxing myself too badly, I'll share my experiences. I've covered 95% of the Americas from Canada to Argentina with everything in between. I've done SEA twice, backpacking during college. I've also done Europe (top to bottom) twice. As well as a bit of Africa and the Middle East.

This time around I'd like to find something more 'permanent' in order to avoid the Northern Hemisphere winter. I haven't finalized my flights yet, so I'm looking for input regarding the South East Asia post-Covid (I haven't been since pre-2020). From memory, Thailand was great, cheap, straightforward and pretty safe even for a drunk college kid. Bali was inexpensive, and incredibly nice. But I've been told the abundance of Russians have driven prices up considerably. Same goes for Vietnam.

Where's the golden goose? Is Pattaya still king when it comes to cheap hotels, entertainment, food and fun?

Now, I'm eyeing spending a few months hopping around and I'd like to see what the long-term expat veterans have to say regarding the current mongering situation.

Any input would be appreciated.

I'm doing a trip next week, looks like 3 weeks of Thailand, which I might extend into Jan, who knows.

Current plan looks like this.

8-13 Dec. Pattaya.

13-22 Dec. North- chiang mai-chiang rai (I think, but who knows).

22-28 Dec. Koh phangan. For this bit I have a Thai girl with me, ex Bangkok gogo girl.

I've been in Thialand and all of these area's at least once some as a backpacker years back, and some more recent looking for Thai fun.

I travel by myself and would love to meet up with others to explore soi 6, OK LK metro at night. Daytime I try to do some activities depending on the temp, if you're up for some scooter exploring or sightseeing let me know too. I remember it was a bit harder to find like minded people last time I was in Pattaya with all the girls swarming you wherever you go XD.
