Originally it stands for a method to create images with a High Dynamic Range. In short words the procedure is merging different exposures of the same image in order to have more details in the lights and shadows. The full story will tell aunt Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_imaging).

I thought that you can have a visa only for 1 or 2 months!
Actually i can stay for 6 month with 2 visa runs if i got it right?! ;)
I use to apply for a double tourist Visa at The Royal Thai Embassy in Sweden , it get´s me 60+60 days but i have to do a visa run after 60 days!
Then i use to apply at Thai Emigration in Jomtien Soi5 and im guaranteed 30 extra days that way! As we foreigners are allowed to max 3 entries in to "The Kingdom" in 6 month i should be abel to do another visa run and gain an extra 30 days but i dont really have the time to stay that long every year!
This is when you arrive by land .. if you fly to Phnom Phen or else where in Asia you can apply for diffrent visas at there Thai Embassy!

You are dead right. She did leave in 2004 but when I saw her again, I think it was in the Long Gun Bar (a couple of bars from Rawhide). Yeh we used to admire someone shots and the colour and then ask which brand of film they used.

It is not my intention to brag but I have to agree with Fon Tok on this one.
I am 30 myself, living on a good expat salary, always well dressed (well, depends on whose standards so let's say no shorts/hawaian looking shirt) and very polite with women (even though a large amount of ladies here can't tell the difference between a guy being a gentleman and their belief that it happened because of good Karma). I get a fair amount of looks by Thai ladies (and an equal amount from Thai guys/gays) and a lot of them would not mind being in the company of a Farang.
Lately I have found myself hanging around J-Avenue a lot and have managed to pull a lot of numbers from very cute and young girls. I have met several girls in regular jobs but probably not highly educated that have shown interest in Farangs. One such girl working at the food and beverage outllet at the airport was even game to say that she would love to have a Farang boyfriend in front of her co-workers. She was quite tall (but not ladyboy) which was probably a distinct disadvantage with mostly shorter Thai males. I was still taller than her (so O.K. height for me) and would have considered going out with her except that I had an incredibly jealous blood-hound like girlfriend at the time so couldn't risk it.

I can assure that it was a hard piece of work not moving for such a long time. Hard for both of us. ;)
But, without kidding, these photos are no HDR but simple single frame pics. As said before, I rather concentrate on the girl than taking photos at the same time, so these were done by a computer programm. Sorry. Hope you still enjoy...

Like many here, I am a big fan of your work, which is a cut above much of what we see normally. Glad to see too that you are getting into “action” photography. Please keep them coming (pun intended).
Since this is the photo section, I believe that you could further share some of your technical (and artistic) know how with us who aspire to improve their photography skills applied to our common hobby. My brand new Sony Alpha 700 is limited to 5 shots at 0.7 EV bracket, which I understand is less than ideal for HDR, but I like the concept.
Would you consider setting up a web gallery to display your photographs, possibly at a larger size and definition than our host Jackson permits here?

Sorry, obviously I did not express well: the programm was only neccesary taking the photos because I was busy otherwise. My work was limited selecting one of the many shots later on and adding a little bit of Photoshop. As the photos were taken in JPG and not in RAW format, there was no chance converting them into HDR anyway.

After having checked the photo-thread of ISG there is actually very little left to say about technical (and artistic) know how. Only following the advices of Wet Nose for example (http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showpost.php?p=650909&postcount=41) will help a lot.
Some points one could add:
1. Get to know your camera. Realize what it can do and what you cannot expect. Learn to use it without looking at, especially how to adjust focus, shutter, etc.
2. Dont look for sceneries, but be open for any to come. Be open for patterns, structures, colours and use them to organize the picture. Every photo needs a stable architecture.
3. Avoid anything disturbing in the photo by changing the angle, the focus, the distance etc. and never ever use flash.
4. In case of persons look for interactions with views or gestures. If you cannot arrange it anticipate when they might happen and be patient. Wait for the best moment. Always interact with the people and let them accept you taking a photo.
This should be enough to start with. If you post any photos of yours I might be easier talking more specifically.

If we discuss this further, we should go over to Chit Chat. But, I'd just like to point out that Photoshop CS (starting with CS2) has a "Merge to HDR" function.
While I generally haven't bothered to try to do it with the images I post here, I have started doing it in my artwork. The problem with it is bit-depth and merging layers to get proper exposure.
Here's a quick attempt (not too successful) which I just did in about 10 minutes. It definitely needs a lot of improvement, as it's too flat and the original resolution is a little too low causing some artefacts. But, I think with work and experimentation, it's possible to do this totally digitally with some interesting results.

"The Man with the Golden Helmet" is one of the most famous and most majestic portraits ever painted. When some 20 years ago it turned out that the painter was not famous Mr Rembrandt it worked like a shock.
