Bangkok now top air travel destination in the world. Not surprising and certainly many of the locals (unlike for example the general attitude in Manilla and the Phils) basically see it as an amazing megalopolis, not something to necessarily escape from per se. Of course, its not exactly like one would typically be able to bus it in from other locales.

I would venture to say that's the rule in about 100% of asia. Latin America, too. All the girls who are considered attractive have light skin.
You should see the (older) Chinese ladies around here. When driving they put on these ridiculous "welders helmet" face shades, full length gloves, etc, in an effort to maintain their beauty while stuck in the car.Latin America doesn't seem to apply the (unwritten "lighter skin is more beautiful") rule quite as rigidly as Asia apparently does.
As far as Korea, Japan, and China, yes the rule probably is about the same, and certainly is with visiting Japanese etc mongers to Bangkok, but at least in the case of Luo Zilin Miss China 2011 (4th runnerup in Ms Universe) a true flat out 10 world class stunner who should have actually won the Miss Universe contest in Sao Paolo (she got a terrible question with a poor translation, itself unnecessary as her English is passable) I wouldn't say by Chinese standards her skin was that light. Since I knew about her from a few years back, that's why I didn't presume the rule was precisely the same in those countries.

Bangkok now top air travel destination in the world. ]I saw the article. Let's see how long that distinction lasts. At Suvarnabhumi Airport, the first experience new arrivals get is a long, long immigration line, with many empty stations. The impression is flat out that Thailand really doesn't care much about travelers. That impression is reinforced with the long lines when exiting immigration. At least the long lines at immigration when entering Thailand let you rest from the marathon walks from the arrival gates.
This week, another nice touch was that many of the toilets weren't working and, at the ones that were working, lines were out the doors. No, I'm not making this up.
Suvarnabhumi, good luck handling still more arrivals / departures!

I don't think there are many people who base where thy are going because of an airport. If that was the case the USA would have lost out on a lot of tourism a long time ago. Last time I was in BKK arrivals the computers went down. So what? I would rather wait an extra 20 minutes to get into Thailand than to zoom through immigration with my Global Entry pass in my own country any day.

(I am not American), or transit there, you get to really appreciate Bangkok airport as being a much better overall experience. I suppose my view is slightly biased by usually flying out of BKK on very late flights when immigration queues are shorter.
On landing in BKK, I am often in the taxi within 30 mins. I think that is not too bad.

She gets my vote and I haven't even seen the other girls in the competition. You definitely have an eye for great beauty. As far as other competitors, there was absolutely no other competitor that evening that even came close to Luo Zilin. It was like comparing minor league baseball to the majors, she was just in a different league with for example a level of facial beauty even by Miss Universe standards well outside the normal boundaries.
Strangely enough the eventual winner (Leila Lopes of Angola), standing to the right, is probably barely a 9 level. Not only are Luo Zilin's presentational skills very strong, her personality and sense of humor are also quite good.
Here's the question that probably cost her the title. The translator as I recall at the time either when interpreting her answer back or in the initial question, instead of making a precise translation, somehow made or caused Luo Zilin's answer to appear even more restrictive than it really was, and these Pageants always penalize anyone taking a more traditional stance, in this case with her suggesting people outside of a country need to "respect and understand" that particular country's position on nude beaches, the implication being that for example if China wanted to ban nude beaches, then outsiders ought not to interfere. Yes, reasonable but not sufficiently politically correct.

On landing in BKK, I am often in the taxi within 30 mins. I think that is not too bad.Same with me, if the arrival gate is not somewhere far, with the hlpe of being amongst the firsts to disembark and being able to go through the Fast Lane as a business class passenger. Still have to wait some 5-10 minutes for luggage, but the paperwrok beauraucracy is then behind. And in appr 1hr I am at the hotel just behind Soi Nana

So instead of focusing on the real problem and putting the pervs in jail, the NGOs and their government allies now have launched a full scale WAR ON MEN, including all acts of fully consentual adult to adult P4P.
I just tried to watch this video. Had to stop after watching it. Same old crap about being trafficed. The one woman is a real life feminist and needs 6 good inches and a drink so she can loosen up.
Western, thanks for the video.I just read an interesting report on [CodeWord908] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord908) in Thailand. The hypocrisy is even worse than I imagined. Apparently it's common knowledge in parts of the NGO community that the vast majority of [CodeWord908] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord908) in Thailand involves people in non-sex industries such as fishing (Thailand has the 3rd largest fishing industry in the world) , which is almost entirely comprised of trafficked workers who are effectively slaves. The inhumanity of the problem is so severe that there are documented instances of fishing vessel owners transferring workers from boat to boat, never allowing them to return to dry land and even executing entire crews when it comes time to pay them. The government is aware of the problem but has officially stated it will do nothing about it for fear of the impact on the national economy. According to what I read, the exaggerated claims and complaints about the extent of the P4P industry in Thailand and the attention NGOs who are trying to "solve" this small part of the problem receive are part of the government's efforts to cast attention away from the larger problem.
She gets my vote and I haven't even seen the other girls in the competition. She looks better in the 2nd pic to me. Look, I saw an absolute tall (but not LB) stunner. 1 in a thousand on the BTS today, and she got out at Thonglor. Too me she was pretty close to Miss China, and maybe even more to my taste. Best looking girl I saw for several weeks. Definite star or model quality to my eye, although Thais choose strange looks to be the top movie stars here.
Stangely I met a past Miss China at the Luhu golf club in Guangzhou 2004 (also the Chinese football team) and she was very tall but not very curvy body. To me looked very much like a LB that I could not be sure I was meeting a real woman. I was just visiting a friend who was promotions manager at the club at the time, and got invited to a party related to a golf tournament and promoting certain sports cars.
I don't remember exactly which Miss China competition it was as I suspect there are several.
It seems they may like to choose exceptionally tall girls for Miss China.
In Sweden I see stunning young girls on every corner. They all have tits, either real or get fake ones. No flat chests in Sweden! For some reason the older ones don't seem to have worn the years that well and are not so special.

To be fair TTG, when you arrive at Heathrow, or L.A. (I am not American), or transit there, you get to really appreciate Bangkok airport as being a much better overall experience.God bless anyone who isn't a citizen landing into the USA. It's usually a long immigration act, longer for your luggage to come out, then you deal with public transportation with drivers who don't speak English. Can you imagine landing at BKK and the driver not speaking Thai?

Especially if these new "criminals" fit somebody's political agenda.
I've read that the bulk of [CodeWord908] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord908), as you mention, has nothing to do with the sex industry. Another example, albeit not in Thailand, is the practice of trafficking in young boys for camel racing. Until recently, thousands of poor kids were bought and sold simply to race camels for some rich Arab.
Can you imagine landing at BKK and the driver not speaking Thai? It's known as mulit-culti diversity, dude! It's a wonderful thing!
One very frustrating experience was getting off a plane at LAX and having to take a taxi to a close by address in El Segundo a few years ago. Fucking taxi driver was fresh off the boat from Korea. Spoke about 3 words of English and didn't have a clue where El Segundo is (it's immediately adjacent to the LAX area).
I can imagine the frustration that some poor bastard from China must feel.

In Sweden I see stunning young girls on every corner. They all have tits, either real or get fake ones. No flat chests in Sweden! For some reason the older ones don't seem to have worn the years that well and are not so special. There are really only 2 "Miss China's" each year of any international significance . One that follows the Miss Universe track (in the United States Miss USA feeds into that system) and another that follows the Miss World track (Miss America feeds into that system)
Luo Zilin was all over New York City the summer before last, that's why some of us took special interest in what the outcome of the Miss Universe contest in Sao Paolo was going to be. She is supposedly 5 ft 11 and 1/2 (perhaps fibbing a bit to avoid the 6 foot label) and can look a bit like a bean pole, but Miss Universe winners tend to be not much below that, typically 5 ft 8 to 5 ft 10 inches quite routinely, but (instead of being a "professional" pageant girl) was actually a major Chinese fashion model, recruited to find a "1 in one billion" contestant and specifically to win Miss China and eventually Miss Universe contest. She went through an extensive training program to avoid acting "too Chinese" at the pageant as explained below. Note the "at least top 5" hoped for expectation of her handlers did turn out to be true, and also note that the Miss China 2011 runnerup seen in the video (also being trained) is probably "only" around 5 ft 8 inches.
By the way, if one (theoretically as its not going to happen) got rid of the de facto (unwritten rule) that international beauty contest winners generally should be on the ultra tall side, one could find many (especially given their innate beauty Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean and so forth) women for example around 5 ft 3 to 5 ft 6, with long legs etc. that are for the most part every bit as beautiful as these international beauty contestants, but by having the height rule, they probably rule out 99% of potential candidates. The rule thus effectively creates its own shortage, thus generating scarcity, thus more interest in the pageants. Plus it gives a built in advantage to eastern European and other western women who by definition tend to be probably 3 to 4 inches taller on average.

http://bangkok.craigslist.co.th/w4m/3869946962.htmlI'm not so interested in the woman in that ad. Her stomach is way too loose. Probably old and had a baby. I contacted a CL advertiser once and she wanted an outrageous 5000 THB for short time. The pictures did look hot, but not worth that amount of money.
I think the CL girls go after the lazy or embarrassed guys. They know they are charging too much, but they also know that the guys either don't know better or simply prefer to do things the way they'd do it back home.

cue in the theme song from the twilight zone as this has to be the most surreal incident i've witnessed in thailand.
the scene: a bar in thailand.
the time: the recent past, late at night.
into the bar walks a middle-aged caucasian male, short of stature, balding, with a bit of a paunch. he's wearing sandals, cargo shorts and a green t-shirt. not a physically imposing figure, but no worse than thousands of other farang men who visit los bars every night in the never-ending pursuit of booze and women. he hasn't taken ten steps into the bar before he's confronted by a girl who had been sitting near the entrance. she blocks his forward progress and yells at him, using an abrupt index-finger pointing gesture to punctuate her words.
i'm seated about ten meters away and can't hear what's being said because of the background music, but i have a clear view of the action. given her facial expression and animated body language, there's no doubt she's very angry. the farang looked bewildered at first, but then anger washed across his face as well. he's shaking his head in a vigorous "no." he makes a dismissive motion with his hands and seems ready to try to push past the girl.
four more girls jump up and form a five-girl line with the angry girl at the center. they were diminutive in size, but i had no doubts they'd be a formidable as the defensive line of the new york giants if push came to shove. one held a beer bottle behind her back. if i had had any telepathic powers, here's what the outnumbered farang would have heard me projecting into his mind: "make it right, assh*le. you're about to get a beating. if the girls can't take you, the male staff sure as hell will." but the farang appeared oblivious. faced now with five girls, he looked even angrier and was gesturing for them to stand aside. had he touched one of them, he'd have certainly gotten the bottle across his head.
at that point, the mamasan reached the beleaguered farang and ordered the girls to sit down. i've known that mamasan for years and she's an expert at smoothing things over. just like st. nick, she was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, and i'd laugh when i saw her in spite of myself. all smiles, she approached the farang and took his hand in a reassuring manner. he seemed relieved and happy at her arrival, but it became immediately obvious the situation hadn't been resolved.
the farang's expression turned angry again and he pulled his hand free from the mamasan's. he shakes his head "no" rapidly again, then looks over his shoulder, as if he's about to leave the bar. a few more words exchanged with the mamsan, a bit more head-shaking from the farang and he turns on his heels to exit the bar. a shout goes up from the girls and three of male door staff step into the bar, looking very serious indeed.
finally the realization hit the farang that he was knee-deep in some heavy shit. he must of reassessed his likelihood of leaving the bar unrep001hed as he glumly returned to talking the mamasan, although i sensed his heart wasn't in it any longer. but her words, however unpalatable, were a better option than taking on three thai males in a physical confrontation.
all this happened very quickly in real time; not more than a couple of minutes had passed since he entered the bar. i still had no idea what had caused the commotion. my best guess would be that it had something to do with payment either to the bar or the girl. what else could it really be? on the other hand, why the hell would the farang go back to a bar where he had a beef? it was a bit of a mystery.
and i had a choice to make. my beer was almost finished, so i could either do the smart. call chek bin and get out before any real trouble started. or order another beer and await the denouement of the farang's predicament. as i said, the mamasan and i had been friends a long time and i was sure, for the price of a drink, she'd tell me what had happened.
at that point, the farang manager entered the bar and the mamasan motioned him over. the mamasan broke off and left the two farang to sort things out between the two of them. she noticed me sitting there and came immediately over. as i suspected, for a drink she was happy to fill me in.
the pudgy farang had been in the bar the night before. he'd paid the bar fine for the girl who had confronted him and agreed to her price for a long-term session. according to what the girl told the mamasan, nothing unusual had happened until she was supposed to get paid. the customer had gotten two rounds. one at night, the second in the morning. and seemed well pleased with her services. but when it was time for him to open his wallet, he wanted to give her less than half of what he'd agreed to the night before. he felt the girl was trying to cheat him, but since he'd done his research, he knew "the right price" and he wasn't going to give her more than that.
the girl had, of course, argued the point with him that morning, but to no avail. it finally ended when he threatened to call security to have her removed from his room if she didn't leave with the money he was prepared to give her. she decided she couldn't win and went home, bitter and disappointed over the money she'd gotten. i don't want this to turn into the 10, 754th discussion about what's proper compensation for the girls, so i won't name any sums. suffice it to say the guy is very optimistic if he thinks his price for l / t is an acceptable one.
ok, i had the background, but the big question remained: why the hell had he come back to the same bar from which he had taken a girl he cheated the night before? was it simply a case of the farang not being the sharpest blade in the box or was something else involved?
my attention shifted back to the customer and bar manager. they seemed to be having an amicable enough conversation, although the customer looked a bit worried. he shook his head "no" again a few times, but then shrugged his shoulders, took out his wallet and peeled off a few bills. he held them out to the manager, who didn't touch them, but called over the aggrieved girl and she accepted them. i couldn't see if any more words were exchanged. the farang lumbered out of the bar with no more dignity than a defeated orc.
once the farang had cleared the curtains, the girl rushed to hug the manager. with a smile a mile wide, she did a little victory dance on the way back to her friends sitting by the door. clearly, it had been important in many ways for her that she got the money she felt she deserved.
so far it had been a fairly mundane story. punters try to cheat the girls every day; some even become cult heroes when they're successful. it's unfortunate, but also a reality of p4p in thailand. despite all the stories of moto drovers or even cops collecting money due to the girls, it doesn't happen often. talk to any working girl in los and she'll tell you she's been gipped out of all or part of her fee at least once. whether she gets cheated a second time depends on how cautious- and accurate. she becomes in picking customers who won't do it.
the strange part had to be the farang's return to the bar. i still couldn't figure that one. but then something weirder happened that made me hear the "the dee the dee" notes of the twilight zone's theme song: the bar manager had collapsed in a fit of laughter on the first row of the bench seating across the room. he was laughing so hard i thought he'd bring up a lung. what the hell could be so funny? obviously, it had something to do with what had just transpired, but there was nothing farcical about it that i'd seen. the customer had been persuaded to pay what he owed; nothing inherently funny about that. the mamasan had joined the manager and she was also roaring with laughter.
i decided the only way i'd ever find out would be to ask the manager. i'd said hello to him a few times, but had never talked with him. of course, he could tell me it was none of my business, but then i wouldn't be any worse off than i already was. i was hoping the mamasan's presence would work in my favor, since she had known me a long time. i stuck my courage to the sticking place, walked over and introduced myself to the manager. i asked him if he'd mind telling me what was so funny, adding that i'd understand if he couldn't.
he shook my hand and motioned for me to sit down. he was struggling to bring his laughter under control and wiping tears of mirth out of eyes. i asked him if he and the mamasan wanted drinks, but he said that wasn't necessary and he'd buy me one instead. then he told me what had occurred with the customer that had caused so much hilarity.
he said that he'd already heard earlier in the day from the mamasan about the customer who had cheated one of the girls. when he reached the bar that evening, the door staff had informed the same customer had come back, but was refusing to pay the girl the money he owed her. the manager had entered the bar half expecting to find the customer in a pool of blood on the floor, with five or six girls stomping him with stiletto heels. he was relieved to find there had been no violence, but the customer's obtuseness surprised him. the man simply couldn't understand that he'd done anything wrong. the manager had tried and tried and tried to explain to him that if he agreed to a price, that's what he had to pay. he couldn't cut the girl's fees after the fact.
but the customer insisted he'd done the right thing. he felt the girl had tried to cheat him by demanding more than what he regarded as "the right price." he couldn't grasp that "the right price" is one to which the girl and her customer agree. he was convinced there was one overriding correct price and anything above that was an attempt to cheat the customer. he felt he'd "stood up" to the girl by not giving her what in his opinion would be an excessive amount. the manager replied that the girl had asked no more than she usually got, but the customer insisted it was too much.
the manager realized he was casting down a dry well. he told the customer no matter what he believed about prices, he was obliged to give the girl the money to which he'd agreed. it finally dawned on the customer that he wouldn't be leaving the bar until he paid and he had begrudgingly handed over the deficit from the morning.
having resolved matters about as well as he could, the bar manager was nonetheless intrigued by the man's stubbornness and asked him how he could be so certain he knew the right price. the customer answered. hear, punters, now and tremble. that he had read it on internet boards. moreover, he'd read that the bar girls respected customers ":who knew the right prices" and paid them accordingly. he couldn't understand the hostility the girl and others had expressed simply because he'd known how to play the game. he'd expected to be welcomed that night as knowledgeable customer who wouldn't put up with any bullsh*t. instead, he had gotten a lot of hassle. turns out the guy was a first-time visitor, but was trying to act the part of an experienced hand based on information gleaned from a few punter-board posts.
the manager said he had to fight to keep his jaw from dropping to the floor and not to p*ss himself with laughter. he managed to keep a professional demeanor until the guy left the bar, but had then exploded with laughter. he said he couldn't get over the sheer stupidity of anyone thinking that cheating a bar was the right thing to do, then going back to the same bar expecting to be greeted as a hero! he said he'd wished he'd been able to warn the guy that if he had pulled that stunt with another girl in a different bar, he might have spent the remainder of his vacation in a hospital bed, but doubted words of caution would have made an impression.
while i understood the humorous aspects of the story, it seemed more spooky than funny. flying saucers, ghosts and store mannequins that come alive in all honor, it's far scarier to think that the real-life actions of even one person are guided by anonymous posts on a punter board.
"you are about to enter another dimension, a dimension not only of sex and money but of mind. a journey into a wondrous land of imagination. next stop, the p4p zone!" the customer in the above story could have had a life-changing experience that wouldn't have been of the imagination but because of an overactive imagination.
bottom line: if you agree on a price with a girl and she lives up to her end of the bargain, make sure you live up to yours. and don't by any stretch of the imagination, twilight or p4p zone, believe everything you read on the punter boards.

Well written and content highly believable. No need to hide the bar name. I think they handled it well! Maybe it was our friend never gets old who was the Farang in question? LOL.Sounds like it might have been, yes.
,.,.to then going back to the same bar expecting to be greeted as a hero! That's priceless. I wish I could have been there just to see the guy's expression of disbelief when he was faced with reality. Nice story.

All because guy read the one outlying report that Rainbow girls do 2 hour short times. LOL.
Yes, it's unfortunate, but a lot of "outlier" stories, one-offs, best-case scenarios, etc., are taken as the norm for P4P in Thailand. Those sorts of posts remind me of tales I used to read about hitch-hiking in the "underground" press back in the 1960s and 1970s. I recall one from a guy who said he began hitch-hiking at the entrance to the Holland Tunnel on Manhattan and within five minutes, a car stopped that took him all the way to San Francisco. Certainly it's possible for something like that to happen; every lottery has a winner, just like it's POSSIBLE that a Rainbow girl once gave a two-hour S / T session or a "stunner" accepted 1, 000 baht for L / T. But there's also little reason for individual punters to believe that such good luck will repeat itself. To base one's expectations of P4P in Thailand on one-in-a-million stories is plain silly.
Even worse, wind-ups and deliberate disinformation are accepted as truth by the most gullible readers. On some of the Pattaya-based boards, small-scale con men and scammers have been regarded as knowledgeable insiders regarding the local scene.

What to go to Thailand from KL for the weekend.
But the photos gallery's here are shit. One is loaded with pictures of ugly, fat and old nasty women. The other is loaded with nothing but a bunch of people talking- even though it is a photo gallery?
Should I go to Hong Kong instead?

The trip before that I had a two hour / two pop short-time with a girl from Rainbow 2 (in fact a few nights later I took her for short-time and she voluntarily stayed for long-time for the same price).
These things do happen and to suggest such occurrences are one-in-a-million is ridiculous. It might be more worthwhile trying to work out why it may happen to some people but not others. Personally I don't think it's down to my boyish good looks, I think it's down to the fact that I smile, have fun and get to know the girls, making it as little like a business transaction as possible.
To suggest that there is some kind of set of rules that applies to all girls, from all bars, to all men, of all types, with differing modus operandi, in all seasons, at all times of the night is naïve. There are many different factors to consider.
Yes, it's unfortunate, but a lot of "outlier" stories, one-offs, best-case scenarios, etc, are taken as the norm for P4P in Thailand.
EvilThank you for this report. I have had a really good laugh about it. The occurrence you witnessed however does reflect what a lot of discussion on ISG seems to be all about, to find the cheapest fuck available. I have been living herefor quite some time now and of course the prices have risen. Same as everywhere else in the world. However SW's here still give you most of the time great service and some idiots think they can take advantage of them because they read it in a forum. Don't get me wrong I haggle the price in advance like everyone else and bring the quote down to what I want to pay. When the girl has given great service I usually give her what she had asked for in the first place which means she knows that I know the going rate and the next time she sees me I have preferred customer status. This just happened last night at the massage place opposite Nana Plaza. I had been with one of the girls there, Pan a week ago and passing by last night she came running when she saw me gave me a hug and dragged me over to the other girls. After some chatter she took another girl, Ana by the hand and said I should have a 2 girl massage. Ana had a real rack on her and a great rump which meant I was not going to say no. The short of a long story is that a had I great threesome with 2 pops at 2500 Baht which I upped giving each another 500 on top of it.
I probably won't go back for a while but know that the next time I am there I am going to be looked after again because all the girls know me now.

What to go to Thailand from KL for the weekend.
But the photos gallery's here are shit. One is loaded with pictures of ugly, fat and old nasty women. The other is loaded with nothing but a bunch of people talking- even though it is a photo gallery?
Is Bangkok a shit place to go now or are the photo gallery's just shit?
Should I go to Hong Kong instead?Bangkok is a great place for mongering; and the hotels are a better deal than in HK (though I do love HK.) Kaintuck's gallery appeals to certain appetites and has it's fans.

Agreed that so much of it boils down to a "sanuk" attitude. My motto in the bars is "When I'm on holiday, everybody's on holiday." In other words, I'm there to have fun, and it's a whole lot more fun if they're having fun, too. Getting to know them, playing around, flirting, discussing their family, having a bite to eat, etc, seems to go a very long way to assuring a great session. As you said, making it as little like a business transaction as possible. I suspect a lot of guys don't get it.
Has anyone been able to get pictures of the BJ bar girls in action. If so which bar, who? I will be going back and want to take naughty pics for the photo thread of BJ experts. If you prefer to PM me it's fine. I've seen a few pics of girls standing or sitting outside, I want to take a pic of them with their mouth full (of me.)

What's the big deal of a specific BJ bar girl giving head? Lips around a cock are lips around a cock, no matter where the girl works.
Do you want to see the thrill of a BJ in public? That is another story, then.

44 Million Baht Lottery Wins for two Pattaya Monk's.
A Monk residing at a South Pattaya Temple won 38 Million Baht on the Thai National Lottery on Sunday. Another Monk at the same Temple, who was ordained on Sunday won 6 Million Baht.
The Monks reside at the Tamsamakee Temple in South Pattaya and because of the large win, the monk who won the 38 Million Baht has disappeared and attempts at contacting him have been unsuccessful. The other Monks at the Temple are thought to know his location but are keeping quiet for now.
Pra Kajonwat purchased his lottery tickets the day before he was ordained as a monk on 15th June. On 16th June he was ordained and also found out about his lottery win. As soon as he leaves the Monkhood he intends to give money to his Mother so she can build a new house and he will also donate some of the money to local orphanages. The Monk revealed to us that he has never seen his American father and would like to use some of the money to track him down and visit him in the United States.
The missing monk, who was ordained 8 months ago, is likely to be disciplined by the Chief Abbot of the Temple, should he return, as he purchased the lottery tickets after his ordination which is not permitted, according to other Monks we spoke with at the Temple.

There are others who questions some of your claims, albeit it a polite way. Please stick to your guns. If you want to claim multiple Rainbow girls go 2 hours and then say it was one. What are we to believe. As a matter of interest, did you read my diary? Because if you did, surely you'd know that it was extremely honest. I didn't just write about the good things, I wrote about the bad, as otherwise what's the point? I don't write to show off, I write to try and provide the reader with accurate information about my experiences. In my recent diary I wrote about a 'condom malfunction', I wrote about a Pattaya girl crying after she wasn't allowed in to my room because she didn't have ID, I wrote about a Phnom Penh girl who only did missionary because she said she was feeling ill, I wrote about being over-charged in Siem Reap, I wrote about a lovely looking gogo girl in Pattaya downing the lady-drink I bought her and walking away within 30 seconds, I wrote about almost not being able to get a girl in Bangkok because of elections etc. A few years ago on the Philippines thread I wrote about an accident I had in which I tripped over, landed on my crown jewels and was out of action for a week! I write about what happens, whether good or bad.
So I assure you that when I write about a Shark or Rainbow girl staying for two hours / two pops, it happened. I don't boast or exaggerate, I just write about what happened whether good or bad.
It does make me smile though when people like you or Evil dismiss it as fantasy just because it never happens to them. Surely a better and more productive response would be to ask why sometimes it happens to others but not you. In my opinion it's not down to what a guy looks like or whether the girl is a wall-flower as you predictably suggested, it's down to your attitude and how you treat the girl. Whenever I walk out of a gogo bar, my choice of girl likes me.
Agreed that so much of it boils down to a "sanuk" attitude. My motto in the bars is "When I'm on holiday, everybody's on holiday." In other words, I'm there to have fun, and it's a whole lot more fun if they're having fun, too. As you said, making it as little like a business transaction as possible. I suspect a lot of guys don't get it.I totally agree. I think one of the common misconceptions on this forum is that the same rules apply for all. They don't. The same girl will charge one customer differently to another and be prepared to stay longer with different customers too. Therefore the onus is on us, the customers, to make the girl WANT to come with us. Here's what I do when I call down a pretty girl from the stage of a gogo bar:
- first thing, I take care of my appearance. I always wear trousers, shoes and a shirt, sometimes a splash of aftershave too.
- when I call a girl down, I ask what her name is and buy her a drink straight away.
- chat to her. Ask where she is from. Ask about her family (Thai's love their family)
- hold her hand, tell her 'you very pretty' (even better if in Thai)
- have fun and be prepared to be silly. I. E dancing together in the seat.
- play little games, to make her as relaxed as possible (I. E I have blue eyes so I play 'stares' which is always a lot of fun).
- most importantly for the 'getting to know you' stage, don't talk money or make her feel like a prostitute. Make her feel special.
- if she's still a bit stiff, then either she's not the girl for you or she needs another drink / more time.
- normally by this point she will ask me if I would like to pay her bar-fine. If not, I will ask 'you like to go with me. 2000 short-time, tip if make me smile'.
- holds hands when leaving the bar and walking to your hotel.
- maintain the fun, friendly, relaxed mood when you get to your room. I. E a back massage.
- after the sex, get her phone number
I'd be very interested what tactics other forum users adopt but this usually works well for me.

The more you write the more realistic it gets. LOL.
You are jarring my memory-thanks-good brain power I have. I recalll one R4 waitress who ask me why I never barfine. I went on a whole 2 minute spiel comparing a mp 2 hour session for 2500 baht compared to a Rainbow session of 40-45 minutes at over a $100. In essence barfine Rainbow girls is just a bad value. She went on to say if I barfined her she stay 2 hours. LOL.The waitress was right in asking why you never barfine? Legitimate question from her to understand whether you are a voyeur or what? Purpose of those bars is mainly to display girls for take away, be it ST or LT isn't it?
You might have a good brain power but comparing in a few word space a baht price with a dollar price isn't much of a smooth thinking, just a bit twisty.
I keep on reading you never fail to go to Rainbow but you also never fail to fire on it. Love and hate? Do you have a lost lover there? Seems a bit stalking action: you stare what you can't get and, would that be a human being, creating embarrassment.
What makes you laugh when the waitress told you that she stays 2hrs in ST? Don't trust her statement? Don't like her?
Are we starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel of understanding you? Be careful on your wording as we might think that could be your real interest. Nothing wrong in it, somehow. This might explain why you don't barfine at rainbow: wrong place. Try Temptation, Cascade, Obsession, Casanova. Maybe her brother works there.
And yes, don't take me serious, have a laugh, Mr LOL (icons might solve the problem of so many LOL's, I appreciate that).

- I only negotiate for LT.
- I never hold hands when leaving the bar: it is not part of Thai culture to do so. Mind you, only in public. I have had girls who had my hands up their shirt already in the hotel elevator and her hands inside my trousers. It is not they do not like to "touch" but it should not be in public.
-I never ask for her phone number, as it is unlikely I want to do a repeat performance, even if she was very good. Repeat performances are for the GF.

Purpose of agogos is to oogle girls in bikinis-preferably hot ones. You go to the wrong a-gogos: I don't settle for anything less than full nudity.
Waiters saying she stay 2 hours is funny because she know the hot girls don't. And yes I'm not interested in her.
Purpose of agogos is to oogle girls in bikinis-preferably hot ones. Eye fucking them as our street friend calls it. You observe a popular bar-most guys are there just to relax.
Oogling agogos girls is great value barfinging them isn't.
I've always wondered what the barfine rate is on any given night. 15%Ehmmmm eye fucking them? I honestly can't stay more than 10/15 min in a gogo. After that I get bored. Don't take me wrong, nice girls, etc etc. But doesn't add anything to my.
Barfine rate? I know an englishman who runs a bar in Samui. At 10. 30/11pm, half of his over 40girls are not there as they have been BF. Of the remaining one can see, another 50% will go away with a customer, before the night is over.
You might have calculated 15% at the time you have been there, that is another story.
It is well known the best go soon away in the early hours of work. So off your sight and off your statistics.

Classic Harold. Just because certain things don't happen to you, you dismiss them as fantasy. I did have a two hour short-time with a girl from Shark and a two hour / two pop short-time with a Rainbow girl on my previous trip. It must be painful for you to accept given your self-confessed lack of success but I don't really care if you believe it or not. Like the majority of people on this forum, I don't respect your opinion. You seem to think that there is a set of rules that applies to all girls, from all bars, to all men, of all types, with differing modus operandi, in all seasons, at all times of the night. You've proved time after time on these pages that you are completely clueless about the scene. You recently told a story of a gogo girl dictating to you when she could be bar-fined! I nearly coughed up my tea when I read that. It was almost as funny as your line 'Pattaya has ugly girls. I've never been though' (an opinion you later admitted you got because a Bangkok gogo girl told you so!). You are like the Mr Bean of the mongering world. Inadvertently hilarious.
I do think you boast and exaggerate (sic). 1000 for head turner off premise then it went up to 1500. LOL.Have you ever heard of the game Chinese whispers? It's when a story gets told and retold so many times that by the time it reaches the end of the line it has changed beyond all recognition. I'll give you an example. Here is an excerpt from my diary:
I noticed street-walkers congregating on the opposite side of the street in Nana Hotel car-park. There were 15 in total, aged between 20 and 30 and a few were reasonably attractive. The pick of them, a girl wearing a leopard-print top, smiled to me. She was a 7/10 and had a nice figure. I returned her smile. That was what I wrote. Yet in your ongoing obsession about me and my diary you have repeatedly told anyone who hasn't 'ignored' you yet that I claim there are 10/10 girls to be found in Nana parking lot for 1000 baht. I never said any of those things, I simply stated that I saw a few cute girls in the car-park and went on to say that in any freelance scene there are gems to be found. I even posted a photo. You on the other hand seem to think it's impossible for there to be attractive freelancers. You think when a girl reaches a certain level of attractiveness, she is zapped by a thunderbolt on to the stage of Rainbow 4 by some kind of Gogo God.
Again your fascination with getting phone numbers is misguided horse shit. A really respectful person would go do them at their place of work without needing to appear cheap.Firstly, don't talk to me about respect. You have had numerous comments deleted that perfectly demonstrate how little you respect the girls. You called one guys girl a 'hound' on the Photo Gallery and recently called Rainbow's line-up 'disgusting'.
On to your point, why is getting phone numbers 'misguided horse shit'? If I take a girl from Rainbow I will pay 600BF + 2000ST + maybe 400 drinks = 3000 baht. But if I text her and arrange a meeting before / after her shift, I will save 1000 baht at the very least and she will get a nice little bonus on top of her earnings in the bar. Surely it's common sense to both parties?
Also, if I take a girl a second time I'll usually just be after a quickie so I'll text '1500 for 1 hour? ' The girl usually agrees to this. Which is quite ironic because you have revealed that Rainbow girls won't stay with you for longer than an hour and you usually pay 2500 baht. So if you take in to account the bar-fine, your drinks and the lady-drinks, you're probably paying 3500 for one hour. That's 2000 more than I pay for 1 hour because I have the foresight to get a girls number. I think the only 'horse shit' here is your ineffective way of getting girls! In fact I heard a rumour that you are called Harold444 because you pay 4000 for 4 minutes with a girl. I can't remember what the other 4 related to.
Now you ask for their numbers. Before it was them begging you to take their number. When did I say that girls beg me for their numbers? If I meet a girl I like I will ask for theirs but sometimes they ask for mine first.
None of this pie in the sky fairy tale shit. Prostitution I s a ugly dog eat ugly dog world if there ever was one.The 'pie in the sky fairy tale shit' you talk about is the way I help girls relax and enjoy my company. It's how I get girls cheaper than you and how I get them to stay longer than you. It's how I get the 'girlfriend experience' with them and then get their number afterwards. It's how I get 2 hour short-times while you don't. It's also how I try to make their job as much fun as possible. I appreciate that being a prostitute isn't the dream job for these girls but why not try to make it as much fun as possible for them? Your dismissal of all of this as 'fairy tale shit' is very revealing. I respect girls, you don't. I treat the girls well, you don't. The girls like me, they don't like you. Maybe you should try some of the 'fairy tale shit' and you might get a girl for longer than an hour? Just a thought.
If you get along so great why don't we ever hear of how the repeat session went.Because on this trip I wanted to go with as many girls as possible. If you had read my diary you'd have known the answer to that question as I talked about it quite a lot. It still makes me laugh why you are so reluctant that, shock horror, I might actually get along with the girls really well. It actually seems to offend you!
Thai girls love their family, Just as Obama bin laden surely loved his.To clarify, I suggested that asking a gogo girl about her family is a nice way to get her talking as Thai's love their family. Where does Obama Bin Laden (great Freudian slip there by the way) come in to it? You're really not very bright are you?
Finally I have got to ask, why are you in Bangkok? You seem to only visit the Rainbow bars and confessed today that you don't bar-fine girls as it's not good value. So why go? Why not go to Angeles in Philippines where you can get equally attractive girls for a third of the price for long-time? Even you could get a girl stay with you for longer than an hour there!
.
Look at it this way, Pink: The Thai tax authorities have to know that of the tens, if not hundreds of thousands of foreign expats living in Thailand, all of them are required to bring in to the country at least 800, 000 Thai Baht every year in order to extend their retirement visas; almost all of it from their home country pensions. Add it all up and thats a lot of money.Hmm is not like that. One do not have to bring in new money every year, it can be always the same and that's it.
As long one meet either the required amount in savings, or the monthly income, how much of it one actually spend is not checked and does not matter.
However I do agree that all westerners, one way ot another, bring in a lot of money in Thailand.
Ask about her family (Thai's love their family)...I offer her a piece of gum. To improve breath quality. It works.

Classic Harold. You're really not very bright are you? You're still wondering? Most of us figured that out back in 2006 already. H444 is a disease, and like Herpes, he keeps coming back. I put him on my "Ignore" list years ago but everytime someone quotes him, I unfortunately am forced to see his brain farts.
My calculation is for example. Out of every 1000 customers walking the door and buy a drink. 150 will barfine. I'm really just guessing. If am the bar owner I'd be delighted to have such a rate of 500 customer in a night, buy a drink and 75 leave with a girl under their arms, when the workforce is appr 100. See? I even cut your number by 50% and keep the same percentage. To show that percentage sometime is irrelevant. Would not you be happy to sell 500 beers in a night? Don't overestimate the statements about bars or MP's or KTV having 2/300 girls. That might count the whole workforce available during a month. But not all of them are showing up every single night or work day.
I noticed this in China (or Asians) KTV where the mamasan, there are 3-4, comes up with her lineup of 6-8 girls at a time. After the 3rd-4th line up, you start to see some you have already seen, mixed in the crowd. That means each might have some 25/30 girls at hands. At the best.
Same is at MP's with fishbowls. How many are there, when counted? 30, go for 15/20 off in some rooms for duty, and you end up with appr 50 in house at a given moment.

I contemplated ignoring him too, like lots of people have done it seems, but the problem is that newcomers might actually believe some of the stuff he comes out with. For example a few weeks ago a first-timer researching his cherry trip left a comment that he was sad to hear that Bangkok is so bad these days, all because of a spate of Harold's hilariously inaccurate reports the preceding two or three days. Senior members can ignore him but newcomers can't.

If only that were so. Theres so many that could and should be deleted, think Dante2, PinkPearl, ChochaMonger and a few more of lifes totally useless specimens. But they just reincarnate themselves with a new name and come back spreading more of their written disease.Banning, without going into the conversation again it all started a few years ago after a guy got banned. Thereafter it seems this got a little gun shy for the moderator? IMHO?
But haven't you figure it out yet? This guy is just a kid, researching the site and places on the Internet from his lock room while dinner is being prepared. Harold! What are you doing in your room? Your dad is going to be home soon!
He had accumulated over a thousand post of those thousand it is just responding to other posters experience with stupid remarks and has selected a few places like Rainbow 4, luckily not too many Rainbows otherwise he would get lost. And of those thousand of post they are 99% negative and that is being conservative and always uses LOL, a teenager at best with pimples and haven't even touch the clothes of a girl in his life and most likely has a blow up doll and a vibrator under his mattress. His mommy must really love him to be having to clean those sheets of his?
Harold what you doing in your room? The Internet can be a wonderful thing for some people who can't get the real thing.
She quite likes it. Not all the way in though. You try sticking something up a hot Rainbow girls asshole. It just isn't allowed.
Any one want to experience Pattaya in downtown BKK Just take a stroll down the lane where Dr bjs 2 places are. LOL. Reasonable facsimile of everything especially the qulaity of girl you will find.
Even a Russian or Uzbek is known to work that lane.
Add in a few seasoned Beergarden hags to the mix of Dr Bjs girls and instant Pattaya.I think you might find she "tolerates" it so you keep paying for your 40 minutes of fun, including two showers and travel time. Hilarious response and very predictable, I quote one of your posts and you get all defensive then start having a go at me, love it. You already admitted you were wrong to make statements about Pattaya having never been there and then you go and do the same thing again. If nothing else you are absolutely unique H. For the record I don't believe the post saying you keep a blow up doll and a vibrator under your bed. If you have the internet there is no need to.

It's been a couple years since my last visit to the LOS. I have three weeks to burn this trip and I'm bringing some BKK virgins. Really is nothing better than seeing the newbie get their cherry popped in Asia. Anyway, here's the itinerary which based on any input here, is subject to change at any time. First, we'll be arriving in Singapore and using this location as our hub. Considering about $35 will get you to BKK, Vietnam, Jakarta among many others, we are planning to see as much as we can. I'm really looking for that "slap you across the face moment" for my buddies and would like to find the best location to have them walk into a room with dozens of beautiful ladies for the picking. This has to happen at least once, then I'll let them fend for themselves. I've been following Sir Lancelot's posts for the past month and he mentioned Jakarta as being a great, unspoiled monger location. Can anyone with recent experience confirm and recommend anything? I have no problem with freelancers, but an occasional barfine is ok too. We plan to rent motorcycles and cruise the coast of Thailand and Malaysia plus Vietnam if we can arrange visa's while in BKK. I was in Penang last year and had a very nice time with the freelancers and massage ladies, but the cost was quite a bit more than any trip I'd taken to BKK. Any suggestions will be most appreciated. I will be updating our activity throughout the trip.

I'm really looking for that "slap you across the face moment" for my buddies and would like to find the best location to have them walk into a room with dozens of beautiful ladies for the picking. I've been following Sir Lancelot's posts for the past month and he mentioned Jakarta as being a great, unspoiled monger location. Can anyone with recent experience confirm and recommend anything?Hi, I hope my diary proved useful. I think it's a great question asking for a 'slap you across the face' venue to really wow your friends.
Jakarta I would rate as one of the most under-rated sex destinations in Asia. It's extraordinarily cheap and there are lots of very pretty girls. If you go there you must visit Hotel Classic. They have some very pretty girls. I have attached a pic of an 18 year old big-boobed girl I went with for 275,000 rupiah. You can also have threesomes there for 400,000 rupiah which is about £30 off the top of my head = 1500 baht. Jakarta has various venues like this (Hotel Travel is another) , the Blok M bars have lots of freelancers, there are soapy massages at Kartika, there is a nightclub with rooms on the premises called Stadium and then there are the Pen J brothels. It's a really exciting and diverse scene with pretty girls available for cheap prices. Send me an message with your email address and I'll email you my Indonesian diary.
In terms of other 'slap you across the face' venues, here are few more that might interest you (I'd love to hear other suggestions from other people too) :
1. If your friends are Bangkok virgins, you owe it to them to take them to Nana Plaza one night. Rainbow 4 is the crème de la crème but Mandarin and Billboard have some nice girls too.
2. Next night, take them to Soi Cowboy. The must-visits here are Shark, Tilac and Baccara. The latter probably has the prettiest girls but they can be a bit like zombies early in the night, so maybe visit after 9pm. There is another dance floor upstairs with topless girls.
3. Nataree massage parlour. Although I love massage parlours, I confess that I've only been to two in Bangkok. But Nataree has LOTS of very pretty girls and I suspect that moment when you first walk in with your friends, their jaws will drop to the floor.
Other non-Bangkok suggestions:
4. You should take your friends to a place that offers 'soapy massages' (body to body on an inflatable mattress). I can remember having my first and it was the most pleasurable sensation I'd ever had. Your friends will definitely thank you. Strangely not many places offer it in Bangkok but lots of places offer it in Pattaya (I. E Sabai Dee, Honey 1, Honey 2 etc). As I said earlier, I'm not an expert at all about the BKK massage scene but I'm sure there is lots of good info on the Bangkok massage threads.
5. Walking Street in Pattaya will be a real eye-opener for your friends. It has lots of great gogo bars, beer bars and nightclubs and is probably the best place to people-watch in Asia.
6. Soi 6 in Pattaya. If your friends like something a bit more seedy, soi 6 is the place. It's a street in Pattaya containing lots of bars where you can very cheaply take a girl upstairs and fuck her on the premises. There tend not to be many beauty queens but every now and then you can find a young cutie.
Non-Thailand suggestions (you'll have to excuse me as I don't know your exact itinerary) :
7. A threesome at Le Cyrcee in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Young girls, cheap prices, what could be better?
8. The X-houses of Sanur, Bali. It's a sleepy beach town in which lots of buildings have a red X on the side. This means they have girls. It's like a treasure hunt walking around trying to find them (I made a map which is in my diary). There are some really pretty girls and it is extremely cheap. Bear in mind that the rooms are like saunas though.
9. Fields Avenue in Angeles, Philippines. This might worthy of consideration for your trip. The gogo bars in Angeles are bigger, better and cheaper than those in Bangkok or Pattaya. The bar-fine system is also very different as it's just a one-off payment to the club and the girl will stay long-time with you. Atlantis, Carousel, Typhoon and Insomnia are my favourite bars but there are many to choose from.
10. Manila Bay Café in Manila, Philippines. This is probably the best freelance venue in Asia I think (I'd love to know if anyone thinks differently). It's a big bar with women outnumbering men by at least 6 to 1. All eyes will be on you and your friends. It can be like a bear-pit at times but there are some extremely pretty girls to be found. I've attached a photo of a girl I took from there for long-time.
11. I was only going to make this a top ten but I've got to add one more since you sound keen on Indonesia. In east Java there is a city called Surubaya. It used to house one of the biggest red light districts in Asia. It is much smaller these days but is still worth visiting. It's called the 'Dolly brothels'. You walk down a street and can see in to dozens of show-rooms where there are girls sat on couches. You have to search hard for a good-looker but they can be found. The unique thing is that you take the girl to their very own room so you will be having sex with them surrounded by their posters, stuffed toys and possessions (see pic).
I hope some of this is useful. Like I say, send me a private message and I'll email you my Indonesia diary from a few years ago.

BJThe operative word used is Attempt, the Internet gets you only so far? Using your hand in front of the net gets old and having a blow up doll is cheap and as close as he is going to get.

I think Bangkok and Jakarta are your best bets. Read the posts on the Bangkok threads and you'll pick up a plethora of useful information.
I had many long stays (a few months at a time) in Indonesia over a period of several years ending about five years ago. I think Jakarta is under appreciated as a mongering destination. Don't let the fact that Indonesia is a Muslim country deter you. Read the Jakarta thread in the forum and you'll find a lot of good information. A good place to start your mongering is Block M. In general I found the Indonesian ladies to be sweeter and better looking than the Thai ladies.
None the less, overall I much prefer Bangkok. It is less unattractive than Jakarta; the mongering grounds are easier to negotiate. You can procure women in the gogo bars, nightclubs, beer bars and off the streets and in some surprising places. On my last stay I fucked the maid who cleaned my room. You can go to the massage parlors. Either soapy or oily; and you can book an escort.
In Jakarta you're going to be picking up freelancers in clubs and bars for the most part.
Yes and not just in Udon Thani all over the Northeast.
This is good news for hots. Not so, even if this works out, your hot chicks will still be there Hots.
There has been a few old posts talking about AEON ATM's now charging the Thai 150 bt fee.
Having got back in country and staying in BKK for a while before going to Pattaya and than Up country, I used the AEON ATM in Terminal 21 Mall Thursday 26 June. There is NO 150 bt fee.
I really enjoyed your informative post and I've had fun in Jakarta on the few times I've been there, but one must know where to go and I think this post provides that
Information with one correct. The "X" on the houses only means that the house or business is an X-tension, as in added on to a previous address. This is a common error and one that could lead to you being a little more embarrassed than you'd like to be. I know I live here in Bali now, but am moving to CM Thailand in a few weeks.

Most places were 'pizza delivery' as it was low-season when I visited but there were always a couple of guys on bikes asking 'girl? '. The main x-houses (with something akin to a fishbowl) were down a bumpy track to the left of Circle K on Jalan Danau Poso.

I read on another forum, this dirtbag is so cheap, rather than going to a doctor to remove his genital warts, he's self-mutilating his penis to make them go away, and is left with scabs all over his junk. No doubt he'll be spreading his funk around Angeles City or wherever he may be in the PI

There is NO 150 bt fee.For some reason my bank was closed on Monday. I noticed a few other businesses closed that would normally be open. Was able to buy booze in the market as usual with no signs about any holiday.
As regards fees, on Tuesday in BKK I used a different foreign bank card than I usually do. For the first time ever was charged a fee of 180 baht for a withdrawal. Withdrawal was 5 figures, in baht. With the card I usually use there the fee is 150 baht, though I wonder if it, too, will be 180 next time I use it.
On another subject, these TGs sure look younger than their age. Saw one in a store the other day who claimed to be in her mid 20's but didn't look a day over 15. Tons of young hot girls walking around in the daytime in the vicinity of NEP, at MBK etc.
Hi all,
Just a General question which may be placed best in this part of the forum:
Having 4-6 weeks vacation in October / November and also having a rental car during this time, is it still good to go to Thailand during the rain season?
I'm not looking for beach vacation in an AI Hotel or diving or similar (also not planned to stay 6 weeks in Pattaya)
I just want to drive through parts of the Country without big planning before and picking up nice Thai Girls here and / or there.
But I prefer FlipFlops instead of fisherman's boots. Another Option would be somewhere else in Asis or going to the Caribbean (Cuba, DomRep.)
Thanks for an answer, also knowing that nobody can predict the exact weather during Oct / Nov.

HotzoTo Hotzo,
The first part of OCT have heavy rain a lot of flooding in Bangkok, if you go end of OCT is ok and NOV weather is good cooler weather not as humid you might want to visit other country in SE Asia if you have 4-6 week 2 week in Thailand enough try Malayasia or Indoenasia for a few weeks.

I'm really looking for that "slap you across the face moment" for my buddies and would like to find the best location to have them walk into a room with dozens of beautiful ladies for the picking. This has to happen at least once, then I'll let them fend for themselves.1) Darling 1 Massage Macau.
2) Ipanema Singapore Orchard Towers.
I think we're all looking for this type of venue. Today I would rate Darling 1 Massage in Macau as Number 1. You walk in and there they are. Lots of good looking girls lined up for your choosing. The girls are grouped by their nationality. Thais, Viets, Chinese, Superstars from different countries, etc. Some high end BKK fishbowls were like this but the BKK fishbowls have declined in terms of good lookers. Freelance bars, even those loaded with pretty girls, just don't have the same effect as a fishbowl loaded with phenominal talent. In the bars you have to compete with others for the top talent, buy drinks, etc. In fishbowls you choose and point. My favorite freelancer bar is Ipanema in Singapore. Darling, Ipanema and Singapore in general offers the luxury of girls from different countries. I hear Beach Club in Kuala Lumpur is good but I've never been there. Chesterfields in Moscow was also a great one but it's gone downhill.
Any other nominations?

Biergarten off Sukhumvit in BKK; and Manila Bay Club in Malare, Philippines. They are both hit and miss but I've had some nice tits I mean hits in both.In Singapore now I'm seeing D cups or F cups galore.
White skinned China dolls & aunties by the dozens, not something you'll find in BKKs beer garden.
Afternoons to late evenings. About 50 USD all in for a quick fix with typical PRC type service (boobs massage, nipple licks, etc).
Less than that for an adequate hotel room in the heart of the action in Geylang. Ditto to fly from BKK with Air Asia.
Overall the scene IMO is much the same & as good as Bangkok, from my research & early impressions.
Walking around I've also seen some attractive EI & very hot Thai looking girls for sale.

There is definitely a biological design to explain the attraction for younger girls.
While I do agree that older girls give better service and may go out of their way to srvice your whims and fancies, And are less prejudiced towatds your age, color, etc etc. However, I do partake young girls, sometimes half my age.
The attraction may simply be explained to their being more fertile and capable to procreation than an older lady.
I recently had a girl, all of 20-22 years old. Her face was all written over "I don't like you". I still went ahead and didn't push the envelope much, it was mostly me servicing her, rather than vice versa. While playing with her clit, I observed that she was getting aroused at that, which gave me a clue that might help me get a favorable reaction, I offered her DATY, and she readily agreed, by the time, I was done 15-20 mins later, she was thoroughly aroused and wanted to get fucked hard. A smile after the first session got her talking, and soon she was merrily chatting away, about family food, etc etc. A further offer of 300 bahts for a second shot was readily accepted and she was more than ready for the 2nd time. All her reservations seemed to have gone and I immeresed mysrlf in viewing and enjoying the young body, she was endowed with.
Nice one. And it's only going to get worse.

HotzoIt will be rainy in October and early November, but usually much less than earlier in the summer. It usually doesn't rain all day so you'll have plenty of semi-decent weather to see things.
The big question is whether or not you can speak and read Thai. Traveling outside of the touristy areas, the road signs are mostly in Thai. Very few people speak English or any language other than Thai or Lao (assuming you're traveling through Isaan).
While girls are available just about anywhere it's not like Nana or Cowboy. In smaller towns you'll have to know where to look and you'll have to speak passable Thai. Even then there may be nothing available. It depends on where you decide to stop. All the small town venues will cater to Thai guys and will tend to focus on massage and karaoke.
It may be easier to find a sweetie and take her with you. Not as much variety, but you'll have an interpreter.
Or, you may have better luck doing this in Vietnam where the written language is a bit easier to decipher and more English is spoken.

You think this would work the other way around? Say a woman twice YOUR age offered you what you offered the girl half your age.Yeah why not? Whatever rocks your boat man. For me it would work only if she is a MILF or has the right curves and not too droopy around the right places.
If she is attractive and sensual enough, then why not!
Also the price has to be right. Afterall we are working girls for something or the other. Just MHO.
i very rarely go to the gogo bars these days but about 2 months ago i ended up in nana and we somehow ended up on the seldom visited top floor (heading to billboard which as it turns out is a pretty nice bar).
there is (or was now) a bar there called lone star and it was one of the most bizarre things i have seen in bangkok but it seemed to be full of nothing but 14 and 15 year old girls. it was shocking! we commented at that time that this was just so utterly odd and so completely out of place in the modern day. it was like something you would of expected from 30 years ago.
i was in nana yesterday and the place was a buzz with talk of a big police raid on that bar on wednesday and how they took a away a lot of **** girls. that is a good thing as that place was completely out of control. i mention it as it was just so utterly bizarre to see that and we were pretty appalled at the time. i am glad it got closed down.
did anyone else know about that raid or see that bar before? it was just so surreal.
I read that Thailand requires your passport to be good for 6 months after your entry date. My passport is set to expire 6 months and 2 weeks before my planned trip, will that be an issue? Should I renew the passport before the trip or just point out the extra 2 weeks if they bring it up?
Why take a chance. Get a new one and then you are safe.

Should I renew the passport before the trip or just point out the extra 2 weeks if they bring it up?Correct. The other day I tried to book tickets for me and my dad from Angeles to Bangkok for 2 weeks from now. On the Tiger Air website it said the passport has to be valid for 6 months and my dad's expire in December. So he went to get a new one the day before yesterday. They said he will have it Tuesday. I wouldn't take any chances.
I hate to clutter up a board by asking 'rookie' questions. Here's the deal, United airlines allows a free layover (no time limit) before heading onto another destination and then back home. Its an amazing deal since it allows you to check out two hobby destinations on the same free ticket (using airmiles). I'm a diehard German Fkk guy but this flight deal is too good to pass up. I'm pretty well set on Bangkok and Pattaya, I was going to do the Fkk leg first before heading onto Thailand until I ran across some Angels City posts. Im thinking it might be better to fly to Bangkok first and then onto another destination nearby instead of visiting the Fkk club scene. So now my question is how does Angels City and Macau stack up against the scene in Thailand? Quality of the girls, the scene in each destination, the ease of reaching each destination, costs, risks, visa requirements, hotels etc. Basically any comments comparing these three to each other would help my planning. Anyone who doesn't wish to clutter up this thread can send me a PM if that's preferable to them.
How does Angeles City and Macau stack up against the scene in Thailand?I have no first-hand experience, but I have read multiple online reports in the past month regarding a crackdown by the authorities in Angeles City. Mostly it seems to be petty harassment of the girls and the bar owners, as opposed to the punters. But some guys report that the bar owners are currently viewing with suspicion gentlemen they haven't seen before. The consensus opinion of Angeles City experts is that this hassle is temporary and the scene will eventually get back to normal. But not much clarity on what "eventually" means. Don't know when Mr. Breadman plans to take his holiday, but it he's traveling soon he may wish to investigate the scene in Angeles City before making any firm plans. There are web sites that focus on that part of the world, but I shall refrain from posting any links in accordance with forum rules. A little Google-fu will find them easily enough.

I'm not sure where to ask this but this seemed like the proper place. I am interested in a vibrator but want one that is a proven orgasm donor. not cheap, but excellent product. small, no chords and there is an rf control.i agree. we-vibe tango is about the size of forefinger. high quality. rechargeable internal battery.
chord only for recharging.
girls appreciate the hassle free nature of not having to buy special batteries and yet fits in her purse.
its got various speeds and rhythms. small but by no means weak.
this is definitely the small deluxe.
of course there are girls that want the huge jack-rabbit right up them (like a girl cat who once worked at ll and then the office) , however we-vibe is the discreet one.

we-vibe is the discreet one. Also designed to simultaneously hit the G-spot and the clitoris. Guy can have vaginal intercourse with the girl while she's wearing it. You too may love it; or you might find it a little uncomfortable or distracting. You will feel the device and vibrations as your penis slides past it.

We-vibe 3 perhaps? Not the very simple "Tango" that I have bought. There are several styles. Of course there are far cheaper vibes but most clap out after merely weeks.
That is why quality is relatively important. There are shit products available on the street in Sukhumvit but I assure you these are made in China and almost worthless.

The same discussion is going on in a parallel universe: The Philippines-General Reports forum so I thought I would bring both worlds together.
The Hitachi Magic Wand is a great one, but it is a monster and too bulky for travel.
For travel a quality compact, portable, waterproof, and rechargeable vibrator is what is needed. The two best that fit all the criteria are the Lelo Mia 2 and the We-Vibe Tango or Salsa which are all available on Amazon for less than $50. I have a black Lelo Mia 2. It works pretty good. Of course does anything work better than tongue on clit? Some girls say no and some girls can't live without their Magic Wand.

So now my question is how does Angels City and Macau stack up against the scene in Thailand? Quality of the girls, the scene in each destination, the ease of reaching each destination, costs, risks, visa requirements, hotels etc. Basically any comments comparing these three to each other would help my planning. Anyone who doesn't wish to clutter up this thread can send me a PM if that's preferable to them.Macau. Expensive. High end. No English. Full of Chinese & Hong Kongers. Forget it.
Angeles City. A small dirty wild west like place with a few blocks full of hooker bars in 3rd world Philippine Islands. To be distinguished from Bangkok which is called Angels City, or the City of Angels. Good GFE. Cheap. English spoken. Lousy food & infrastructure. Scams galore. Dangerous. Don't bother.
Bangkok / Pattaya. Huge hooker heaven. Prettier, slimmer girls than the PI. Cheap. Easy. Safe. Good infrastructure. Go & have the time of your life.
Singapore. As a 2nd Asian destination this would be preferable to Macau, as English is widely spoken, making things much easier for those fluent in the language. My guess is that hotels, food & hookers in SG would also offer you better options. Much like Siam above, but hotels more pricey. Extremely safe. Only 2 hours by air from BKK.

The We-Vibe3 is nothing like these other products. A picture is worth a 1000 words. The We-Vibe 3? Uhm. I am just a innocent, simple, country boy. I don't think the Vibe 3 is for me. Maggie and Gik from Devil's Den have tried electric stimulation on my erogenous parts several times and it left me cold. I did not feel the magic. No, what turns me on is a beautiful girl with a passionate nature who likes to dfk, smoke deep, and have sex in many positions. Hence the reason why I bought my Lelo Mia 2 in order to open the flood gates. Some girls really like it. What really stimulates my dick is a bareback ride. There is no feeling simulated or natural that comes close to that. But I have to admire the ingenuity and design of the Vibe 3 product. Remote control! What are they going to think up next?
Of course does anything work better than tongue on clit? Some girls say no and some girls can't live without their Magic Wand. That depends greatly on the skill of the guy and also on whether girl likes soft stimulation or very powerful stimulation. I bought vibe for GF to use while I'm away. However she liked it so much she wants to use during sex too. Instead of oral? Not at all. She always wants the DATY to warm up first and being very sensitive she doesn't take long to orgasm at all. During sex, she then wants to ramp it up, so every time she gets close to orgasm, the vibe comes on to just multiply it. This means she is orgasming many times in not so long a session and gets tired a little quicker than ideal for me. So sometimes I have to restrict her vibe use in order to extend the session a bit for my benefit.
The vibe makes little difference to my feeling, but sends the girl into massive explosions.
In the past she had complained that certain cheap vibes were just gutless and feeling was too weak and a hassle to buy batteries so rechargeable is important. Discreet is important. She did not want one that was noisy as daughter might hear the noise from other room.

I've done anal with girls while they had a big vibrator up their vagina. I could feel mild vibrations and found it interesting. Though I can't say it enhanced the sexual pleasure for me. Similarly, while I like getting rimmed, if anything it relaxes me and I get softer, unless another girl is sucking my cock or I'm banging another girl at the same time. Toys and girls are a fun combination to play with, but I'm with you, nothing feels better to my cock than a girl's three orifices.
Funny you should say this. I have a girl from Thai Friendly in my room and introduced her to her first vibrator. Took 30 seconds and I heard 'I want' so I have lost it for it goes home with her. And she was remarking about hiding it from her daughter. Something about telling her it is chocolate which made no sense.

I read that Thailand requires your passport to be good for 6 months after your entry date. My passport is set to expire 6 months and 2 weeks before my planned trip, will that be an issue? Should I renew the passport before the trip or just point out the extra 2 weeks if they bring it up?Don't chance it. That's my advice. I was in the same situation when I was about to book my ticket to Thailand, and after doing much research I decided to just renew my passport. What you need to remember is that you're entering another country. Their rules, their ways. And it is not always going to be consistent, so why take a chance? Is it really worth it to face a situation where you could be told. No you cannot enter, too close to the 6 month mark. Time to turn back and deal with headaches?
Renew the passport, enjoy your travel to LOS. It is amazing.

Macau: Expensive-Yes. High End-Yes. Go! You won't regret it. The place is loaded with beautiful Chinese girls dying to give you a PSE. The Sauna action is better than BKK Soapy action.
Angeles City: Dirty-yes. Wild West-you funny, but yes. English Spoken-Yes. GFE-Yes, yes, yes. Cheap-Yes. Dangerous-you so funny. No, I never felt threatened there and I never allowed any one to con me. Oh, you aren't kidding about the danger. Ok, don't go! More Pinays for me.
Bangkok: ("Pattaya. Prettier, slimmer girls than the PI. Cheap. Easy. Safe. Good infrastructure. Go & have the time of your life.") I won't argue with you here. I love BKK, but it is not exactly cheap anymore.
Phnom Penh: Not for everybody. I like it. Funky atmosphere, nice girls, good food, reasonable prices, plus a little culture thrown in.
Singapore: Not preferable to Macau, although Singapore is surprisingly very good. Girls from all over the world are available in various Orchard Road bars. Expensive by BKK standards. Geylang is very great. The Chinese and Thai houses are best. Hotels are expensive, but cheap accommodations are available in Geylang. Food is excellent.
Jakarta: Going first time in March. Dirty, congested, and sprawling. I have heard great things about the night life. From my own experience, Indonesian girls are great.
Macau: Expensive-Yes. High End-Yes. Go! You won't regret it. The place is loaded with beautiful Chinese girls dying to give you a PSE. The Sauna action is better than BKK Soapy action.Natty, Is there somewhere we can see pics of all these beautiful Chinese girls. I mean to me some Chinese girls are stunning like "Singapore Girls" (on the airline) or Shu Qi but by far the majority of normal Chinese girls are quite ugly to my taste.
I went to Guangzhou for several days and saw plenty of Chinese girls were available but most did not appeal much.
http://www.2flashgames.com/photo/shu_qi/Shu_Qi_0142.htm
My stereotype of the typical Chinese girl is a round puffy face and very straight non curvy body with a flat ass.

Unfortunately experience needed to work out which cheaper models actually work really well (with good power). Ask the girl selling in the shop which one she actually likes herself LOL

Natty, is there somewhere we can see pics of all these beautiful Chinese girls. I mean to me some Chinese girls are stunning like "Singapore Girls" (on the airline) or Shu Qi but by far the majority of normal Chinese girls are quite ugly to my taste. The majority of girls in any lineup be it a BKK Go Go, high end soapy, or Soi 24 oily are usually not up to my taste, but in my favorite places there is that 10% to 15% that I find attractive and desirable. Same same in the best Macau saunas; except Macau being Macau, the Vegas of the East, the saunas are employing some of the most attractive working girls in all of China. The fact is there are so many girls in every sauna's evening lineup that I usually see at least 10 to 15 stunners [STUNNERS] at Rio & East, and maybe 5 or more absolute stunners at Familia Nobre ShowTime's. Sometimes the selection is so good that I give up trying to make an intelligent pick and just do the equivalent of eeny, meeny, miny, moe to select a smiling girl from the 4 or 5 best in show.
I wish I had some pictures of my Macau Sauna girls for the memory books and to post here on the forum. But unlike BKK Soapy's, it is very hard to take pictures inside the private rooms at the Saunas. I brought a Swan Pen camera with me last time I was there expressly to snap a few shots of the girls. But once the girls realized what I was about to do, they asked me not to take any pictures. Management forbids it and these girls are very well managed. So you will just have to take my word for it that these girls, at least the ones I have had sessions with are pretty close to spectacular. I rate most of my sauna girls 7* and higher for face, body and usually 8* for service.
Here is the East Spa web page. I don't think it does the girls justice, but it does show the diversity of looks you will find among the Sauna girls.
http://www.eaststartgroup.com/east_spa_club/albums.asp
http://www.2flashgames.com/photo/shu_qi/Shu_Qi_0142.htmI have been wowed by Shu Qi's extraordinary beauty since I first saw her spread in Taiwan Penthouse back in 2000 or earlier. Naturally I have downloaded all of her nudes including some rare nude videos. I love the videos of her taking a shower in one and in another frolicking on a beach. They were all made over a decade ago before she became a big star. Actually she has been in some very good movies. "Millennium Mambo" and "Three Times" are probably being her best cinematic efforts and of course she chewed up the scenery in "The Transporter". If I had been the director of Transporter I would have trained the camera on her and left it there for every scene. The car chases and fighting scenes got in the way IMHO.
I went to Guangzhou for several days and saw plenty of Chinese girls were available but most did not appeal much. My stereotype of the typical Chinese girl is a round puffy face and very straight non curvy body with a flat ass.Well you said it right there. It is a stereotype. Actually there is a great deal of diversity in Chinese sauna girls, probably more variability than one sees in the working girls of BKK. Macau is a magnet for the most attractive working girls in China. It is a place where they can earn top dollar. That is the draw and the reason so many attractive girls can be found there. So in the saunas you will find the stereotypical Chinese girls you are referring to for sure, but you will also see tall girls with large natural breasts, medium height girls with athletic bodies and semi hourglass figures, thin spinners with small breasts, and voluptuous spinners with 'C' cups. And yes you will find some girls with bolt-ons and straightened noses. I am with you on the silly cones. In hate them. What a turn off! Incidentally the Viet girls have the highest percentage of chest augmentation among all the Macau Sauna girls. I would estimate as high as 90% of Viet models carry extra weight. I do not know why. I differ with you, however about straight noses. I pretty much don't care one way or another. It does not have any influence over who I choose. But, I have advised several BKK girls not to do it. I have said 'but you have such a pretty nose. Such a pretty Thai nose. Don't change it. ' And I think a couple of girls may actually have listened to me. But I will take a girl with a nose job all else being good. It is not a critical factor for me.
Now back to Macau: I think Macau is great, but don't take my word for it. Macau is 3 hours away from BKK. Go there. Spend 3 or 4 days and check it out. It will never replace BKK, but I think you will like it. My M. O. Is to spend roughly 3 weeks in BKK. 4 days in Pattaya, and 5 days in Macau per trip.
Natty I agree the sauna girls of Macau are prettier than the soapy girls of BKK. But I believe the non P4P girls you see on the streets of BKK are prettier than the average non working girl in Macau by far.
I've been to Fuji Sauna and Millionaire Sauna which are not true sauna experiences. How much does a high end sauna like East, Rio, or 18 Spa cost in Macau? My guess is they are priced higher than BKK's priciest soapies. I will be in Macao next month. May try a real sauna for the first time.

Is to spend roughly 3 weeks in BKK. 4 days in Pattaya, and 5 days in Macau per trip.I think that is good advice to take the side trip. Thanks for the video. I liked 3 girls or so: Konoka, Nala, Cassy. Probably non typical looks from these 3. Some others were a normal Chinese look that might be great for others, and some looked just plain in the face. Not many Shu Qis obviously. I guess she is a one in a million type. The bodies looked pretty good, being slim and curvy. So obviously the typical Chinese straight body types don't make it.
I take your point that these places are taking girls far above average and then get to select the cream from a large group. So China no doubt has stunners. Its just a low percentage of the total population. In Thailand you can see very pretty girls on the BTS at times or in Emporium. The are everywhere specially in richer districts. Even the girl that serves me coffee at Starbucks is really quite pretty to my taste. This Starbucks is in posh sports plex. She wasn't selected for her brains I'll bet.

Its nice to see you back on the boards. Can you explain what you mean by "not true sauna" experiences? I am not after a real Scandinavian "sauna" experience at all. Just like I don't go to a soapy massage place for a massage. I like bathing with a girl and sex. Massage is pretty ho-hum for me. Real sauna even less interest.
I read the Macau sauna experience involves getting a locker, sitting on lounge chairs, getting bathed a girl (not the girl you take to the room) , and then watching some type of show. The show involves all of the girls parading around the room for you to choose. I thought Rio and the others did this. When I went to Fuju and Millionaire, I told mamasan what nationality I wanted and she showed me the girl. If I approved it was off to the room and straight to sex with a little bit of action in the tub.
Not bad but not the full sauna experience I imagined. And then there is the red rope but I don't want to get too far off topic.

The Macau sauna experience is the best in the world top international model include East European girl, I like East spa and sauna 18 the best very expensive but facility and service is much better than the Bangkok sauna by far, yes the red rope experience is a lost art most sauna in Shanghai and Zhu Hai don't offer any more.

in bangkok attractive young thai females are often willing to happily offer bls, dato, dfk, or whatever one might dream of or imagine. sometimes even a 1 or 2 hour bbbj. i'm not sure the pse would offer or could beat that. such tgs can be found walking the street for a mere 1000 baht st. in macau the price for the sauna experience is what. 10x that? and no option for takeout to the conveniences of one's hotel room?
in singapore i often see smoking hot p4p ladies working the streets or indoors, usually prc. they'd be in the top 10 percent in looks of those on the site you posted or hong kong 141. many of them are white, naturally large chested and have a service routine that includes body licking (cat bath) & boobs massage, among other things, which i had never experienced in bkk. not without asking for it, anyway. sg prc house girls go for 150 sg$ an hour, or roughly 120 usd.
i've read about chinese services in changping near hong kong. as i recall there are many places there where the ladies do a routine of many steps, perhaps 20 in all, with the customer. ever try that?
if the op is to check out macau, a mere one hour ferry ride to hong kong might be considered, time permitting. from there it is not far to changping, although i've heard cp is not recommended for those travelling alone or not adept in chinese.
if the op is to check out sg, indonesian pussyland in batam is only a 45 minute boat ride away. there is also malaysia such as kuala lumpur in less than an hour by air as a decent mongering destination.

On top of that there are soapy venues, Stadium, the Blok M freelance bars and the Pen J brothels near the train station which are open during the afternoon and have some nice girls in the fishbowls for rock-bottom prices. You could also get a flight to Surubaya and explore the Dolly brothels. They're quite sleazy and you fuck the girls in their own bedrooms.

Sometimes even the worst lookers can give a very high level of satisfaction on services demanded. I went to an oily and there were only 2 WGs there as it was early in the day. Both of them were really low in my ranking, in terms of looks, ass size etc. But one girl was smiling a lot and was giving the vibes that she really wanted to try and give. So I remembered what many had said and went with her, even though she was no where near my spec.
We got in the room, and she went out for the water / Coke etc and soon came back with a smile. Maybe she must have seen me go up a few times with my favorite in that shop, so she didn't ask my name or "where you come from?" soon we were in our bare minimum and we were in shower, for the next 2 hours it was almost continuous molestation and She really tried hard to please, we must have done 4-5 positions and being the eager beaver. I did 4-5 positions which I had seen in the movies in high school and had fancied trying them, but had seemed too much to ask even a WG. It was really fun and she too seemed to enjoy it with a complete stranger. Guys never go with a set mindset, be open to experimentation with different types of girls. The rewards can be totally unexpected.

Has any one scored freebies from these places. Would do with some change of flavour without.Goo to the Full Moon party. But getting laid for free with them is up to you. They are not there for you to fuck them.

I concur. I had a beautiful busty threesome in Jakarta which was one of the highlights of my monger life. Never been to Surubay, tho. What about Bali. Is it worthwhile? I have to go to a conference there in 2015.We meet again.
Yeah, I think Indonesia is definitely the place to go for girls with larger tits. I went with a top-heavy girl in one of the Pen J brothels. I think you would have approved! Where did you have the threesome? Maribaya, Travel, Classic or somewhere else? I plan to go back some time soon.
I recommend Surubaya as a stopover for a few nights, no more. The Dolly brothels used to be the biggest in Asia but now it's just two streets full of wismas (shops with windows in which you can see the girls sat on couches). The talent pool is moderate but there are some lovely girls to be found. It's VERY cheap and I was the only tourist as far as I could tell so prices are very cheap. The others customers seemed to be Indonesian businessmen. Aside from the cheap prices, the most unusual thing about Surubaya is that you have sex with the girls in their own rooms, surrounded by their posters and cuddly toys.
If you're going to Bali with work, you'll find adequate pay-for-play. I stayed in Kuta which is a very nightclubby scene where freelancers can be found. I wasn't impressed with the overall standard but there were a few nice ones. However they charge high prices because they're aiming at the young drunken Aussie crowd who will pay over the odds. Your best bet is Sanur which is about 15 minutes away by taxi. It's a sleepy coastal town which has lots of X-houses (houses with X's on the side). I went in low-season I think and most of them didn't stock girls, they just had rooms and you could describe your type and a guy on a motorcycle would go and fetch a girl for you, like a pizza delivery service. There are three or four X-houses that definitely stock girls and there were some lovely ones. You pick them and fuck them on the premises, so it's just a half hour quickie. Short-time or longer can be negotiated I believe. The prices were very cheap. When I went I painstakingly scoured the town and produced a map of X-houses, I can email it to you if you like.

An extension of the main house and has nothing to do with being a brothel? What the 'X' itself means, I don't know, but there are plenty of Sanur Brothels without the X.
For example, Brothels 18, 89, 29, 505, 14a, etc.
Some of those have ST Rooms on the premises, others have one they work with a short distance away.
You'll also find Brothels with an X, such as 66x and a ST hotel (67x) next door.
Several of the ST Hotels have the X extension (10x. 11x. 18x, etc)
In those, you show up and they go and collect a Girl from a Brothel like 18/89/14a.
(which is why it is often better just to visit one of the Brothels with ST Rooms attached).
Below is a summary of ones I visited a few months back.
Promised to Barri, a summary of the Sanur visits in recent weeks.
* 1st, a summary of ST rooms either at ST Hotels or on site at Fishbowls *
* 2nd, a summary of the fishbowls visited this time. And here is a link to Barri's Bali Monger Map, marking all the Brothels and ST Hotels.

Didn't I read somewhere on the forum that the "X" simply means that house is an extension of the main house and has nothing to do with being a brothel?Hmm, not too sure about that. You might be right, certainly the buildings had a feel of being extensions but I spent three hours wandering around the Danau Poso area of Sanur to create my map, walking up the path of any building with an X painted outside. It was like a treasure hunt. Four of them had seated areas where there were girls and those that didn't had a few guys lingering next to a scooter who asked 'girls? ' when I walked in. On one night there was a power-cut and half of Sanur was plunged in to darkness, including the big X-houses. I didn't fancy taking a girl to a room without a fan, so I decided to go to one of the smaller X-houses nearer the beach where they had power and ordered a 'young pretty girl with big tits'. The scooter driver didn't disappoint. I must have visited about 20 X-houses and all of them were either brothels or short-time rooms where girls can be ordered.
Thailand : Tourist Arrivals from 1998 till First Quarter 2013.
http://www.thaiwebsites.com/tourism.asp
In recent years arrivals are going off the charts.
Even in years with the tsunami, sars, riots, and flooding tourism numbers hardly flinched. This is total tourists including couples families, etc. So only a portion are sex tourists, and that proportion may well be dropping.
I think the breakdown of sex tourists has changed a lot. 15 years ago bars had a high proportion of Farangs. Now the numbers from Japan, Korea, Singapore, etc. Are right up, and Farangs in the minority.
Sars, bird flu, flooding, etc. Never have any effect of me at all.
Funny to see 700, 000 Australian visitors reported one year (population is probably < 30M). That is hard to believe. Maybe 100K sex tourists visited 7 times each in same year LOL. If you knew what Australian wives are like, you would not blame the men for seeking something different LOL.

I see relative to US$ baht is way down. Money is flowing out of emerging markets as the world anticipates the US Fed ending QE. Thailand's recent quarterly economic numbers are not good. No sign of a crisis like the 90's but this may intensify over the next few months. This is good for us I guess.
I am in Pattaya in lk empress hotel,
I usually have breakfast at the hotel. Many of the hotel mates had really great stunners, they also used to have breakfast together and later big goodbye to Thai girls. My question is can I approach them and ask them for fresh date. I am afraid that they may make scene.

I see relative to U.S. dollar the baht is way down. Money is flowing out of emerging markets as the world anticipates the US Fed ending QE. Thailand's recent quarterly economic numbers are not good. No sign of a crisis like the 90's but this may intensify over the next few months. This is good for us I guess. As I write this Bloomberg is quoting 32.04 baht to the dollar in the forex markets and my favorite survey of Bangkok money changers shows that those selling dollars can expect an average of 31.37 baht per dollar. That's very very close to a 52-week high. I don't follow any other currencies, but a quick and dirty Bloomberg search shows the euro is at a 52-week high as well, while the yen has fallen, albeit not to its 52-week low. Just for laughs I checked the ruble. Looks like it was trading roughly at parity with the baht at the start of this year, but since then it's lost two to four percent.
As for who benefits, clearly it's anybody who earns dollars and spends baht. The difference between 29 baht to the dollar and 32 is slightly more than 10 percent. If the trend continues through the end of the year, I'll see a nice little discount in the dollar cost of my Christmas holiday. Of course, those savings will be more than offset by the shellacking that I'm taking in my southeast Asian equity investments. Take a look at EIDO. OUCH!
The more important question, it seems to me, is the future of the Thai economy. The country has a substantial amount of foreign currency held in reserve, so I agree with Mr, Kausch that we probably won't see a repeat of the crisis that struck in the late 90s. That said, I read where consumer debt is very high and the government's program to buy rice at artificially-high prices is a costly disaster. Plus the situation elsewhere in the region is just as bad. So long term my prediction is that there will be fewer jobs in Thailand's export sector. This won't be good for the average person in the street and it may set up some argy-bargy between the current government and the powers behind the scenes.

BunkyBunky,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Sorry to hear about your SE Asian equity investments. Be smart and keep a careful eye on them.
I know this is a sex forum, but currency exchange is relevant to mongers as our money fuels the P4P machine.
You are correct, Thailand is holding a fair amount of foreign currency reserves but I've been following Thailand's current account data. At the end of 2011 Thailand had a surplus of US$5. 32 billion; at the end of 2012 it had a deficit of US$2. 44 billion. In 2013 by the end of June it added another US$3. 08 billion to this deficit, with most of that in Q2. I'm eager to see what it is at the end of Q3.
Capital is pouring out of emerging markets, including Thailand, at an accelerating rate; and I recently read the smart guys expect this to continue for the next two years. But what do they know?
I've been around long enough to remember 1997 very well. I had friends from the USA who made out like bandits and Thai friends who got massacred by that little event.
The situation in Thailand may not be as dicey as Indonesia and Malaysia, but I think we can expect the value of the baht and Thailand's markets to continue to drop. Obviously good for mongers exchanging their currency for baht, but I'm a little concerned about guys who have their money in SE Asian equities. The problem is where do you put it? Don't want to cause any panic; just suggesting you be vigilant.
The broader issue is the general prosperity of Thai society. If this continues it is bound to have an affect on the average Thai. For example, I just read an article about the generous, disastrous as the article described it, rice subsidy. Bottom line, the article questioned how much longer it can continue.
Of course the consumer side of the P4P industry benefits if things get tougher for ordinary Thais. Hunger is a powerful aphrodisiac.

Kindly let me know whether to approach such girls or not, if so how?You can do anything you want, but in my personal opinion it is low class to hit on other punters' girls while they are still out with them.
Your thinking like this seems to indicate that your mind is still in sexual prison back home, wherever that is, and that there is a shortage of good looking girls to go around in Thailand. Holy Buddha, Manliraj, there are more good looking, sexy, friendly girls in BKK and Pattaya than you can shag in 5 to 10 years going at it 2 or 3 girls per day. So RTFF, map your strategy of where you want to go for the day or evening hunt, then go out and get your own girls! The thrill of the hunt is part of the game. When I am in Thailand, it is immediately apparent to me that I can't possibly shag all the sexy Thai girls I would like to shag. It's like being at the Lord Jim's lunch buffet at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in BKK. They ain't ever going to run out of tasty food and I can't possible eat everything on the buffet so I have to make my selections carefully. Sometimes I pick something that is not great and I leave it on my plate and go back for something better. It is pointless to give a shit about what other patrons have on their plate.
Same Same with Thai girls. Unfortunately, I am not 18 any longer. I presume your are not either. I can't shag 5 girls a night like I could back then. So I have to ration my vital personal fluids and be very selective with the girls I choose to hook up with during my trip. I always end up leaving some really nice girls for next time or never. There is only so much shagging I can do 24 hours per day times 7 days per week times 6 weeks per visit. So get with it, Manliraj. You are in Thailand now. You are a man. Be free, have a great time, and don't think about other punters and their honeys. Gather your own sweetness. It is much more satisfying that way.

It is much more satisfying that way.We can pick a girl, shagging and discharging the load, anytime in anyway. But sometimes a thrill from hunting of a suitable girl makes our days and being a memorable for long time.
Once in a nightclub in Tashkant on my departing time, I had seen two masculine guys standing face to face keeping a Police man in middle. Why? Because, they were fighting for a girl inside the club. May be one of them got the girl or may be not. But sure it's a thrill for them in their way if someone wins.
Years before I was walking through the Soi 13/2, Pattaya; certainly a massage girl blocked my way. Trying to invite me inside of her place for business. She got zero English, but with her all expressions in face and wide smile dived straight inside me. That I fall on her with all of mine and it was ended up with taking her in my room for 6 hrs. That blind jump discovered a thrilling day; still it is amazing for me.
Hunting our girl sometimes is an extra thrill, doesn't it? Why not we can try in our own way?

Special mention to Kumbu, you rock god bless you.Well well in theory nothing wrong in doing it this way but would you not prefer to atleast let the sperm from the recent punter to dry off before you hit on the girl as she is about to leave LK Empress (by the way also my favorite hotel for my short Pattaya visits)? Would be a hazzle if punters were running around the hotel and knocking doors asking "are you done now it is my turn". Lets not go there.

Kindly let me know whether to approach such girls or not, if so how?If they've said their goodbyes, the girl is now free to do whatever she wants to so you can approach her. She will either accept or reject you, not sure why she would want to make a scene. She should see this as an opportunity to make more money. Everyone is different so its just a matter of how YOU want to pick up girls.
What is up with these guys always wanting a girl from someone else? Go out and find your own. It's not like they are in short supply. There have psychological and logical ground, to do like this. Psychologically, the girls with other men are always charming for us. Even the girl with me is also adorable for someone else too. Logically it is time saving and near to believable that, it has been chosen amongst the best. Moreover may be not knowing about the resources too.
Certainly there never been short supply for such places; if the service of the desired girl is available.

I think it's still early days in terms of the selling, but eventually equity prices in this part of the world will drop to the point where valuation is compelling. If I was a younger man, with decades of investing ahead of me, I'd be paying attention here. The long-term story is still positive: good demographics, more transparency, etc.

Hunger is a powerful aphrodisiac.Sad to say that's always been the case in the Kingdom. Difficulties that make it harder for ordinary Thais to make a living, whether they are international capital flows, natural disasters or government policies, tend to encourage women to become sex workers. I think those decisions lag the events that drive them. So it will probably take awhile before we see the effects at ground level. Meanwhile I'm sure the gents who read this will diligently search for the ground truth!

Someone told me about this free app so I tried it and am sharing it with the board. The app is "Inspire eMagazine" and they have some cool stuff on it for both Pattaya and Bangkok such as upcoming events, discounts, jobs and more. For example, under events they're advertising both Tony Bennett (for old timers) and Justin Bieber (old timers can take their young GFs) for events in Bangkok next month and there was a bikini party in Pattaya, Soi 6, last night. For those who don't know how to use apps they also have a website and before anyone ask, I have nothing to do with them. I am only posting this because I found some of the information useful and other expats may also or you may not.

Was killing a lazy Saturday at home, and found this very interesting paragraph on the Stickman Blog dating back to 2010 which I have quoted as it is.
"Of course the Japanese have long had their own bar area, Soi Thaniya, just off Silom Road. Many of those venues discourage Westerners from entering, as much because the way the Japanese like to party is different to what Westerners are used to as anything else. It is also said that Japanese men will boycott a girl if they know that she goes with white guys although whether this is true or not I really don't know."
Quite an interesting read with some great pics. The notable point being Japanese men boycotting girls that go with white men. Could this be responsible for the door policy at some of the go go's.

"The pace of change has been dramatic, and the Pattaya we know is fast disappearing. Today, naughty boys are very much a small minority of visitors to the city. The demographic has changed." This is from an interesting article dated 23/06/2013.The influx of Russian families, many of them mid 20's to mid 30's men and women, along with the Russian criminal element (same age group. Only typically better dressed and driving better cars) kind of make the 'traditional' Pattaya expat look (and likely feel) like yesterday's has beens. They are still here, but probably staying home in their darkside US$50k "homes" a lot more.
The notable point being Japanese men boycotting girls that go with white men. Could this be responsible for the door policy at some of the go go's.No and this is direct from one of the club hawkers. The door policy is simply one of economics. Farang have a reputation of being cheap charlies, buying and nursing a drink for a long time. Etc. The Japanese have the money to spend and do. From personal experience there is, at least, one club (Super Queen) that may entertain farang given proper etiquette and money. The mamasan was nice enough to give me a tour a couple of years back but I didn't have the funds to actually try the place at the time.

That says all in theit NGO definition. They keep it as that way they are not subject to the auditing government agencies have to go through. Often there are a lot of political connections, as the politician can exercise power and fund control.
I feel that the donations are ice on the cake.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpr7jxbmg24maybe i told this story here already, maybe it was on another forum. sorry if i repeat here.
my thai gf is a university researcher, now doing her phd. during her bachelor studies she participated in a large study about the south-east asian sex industry. this research was funded by an ngo and coordinated by an italian university. i don't think it will be far from the truth to see some links to catholic "do gooder" organizations. anyhow, my gf interviewed many wgs in thailand (bkk, pattaya, phuket). the vast majority of these wgs entirely voluntary entered their profession and their main drive was to get a nice income at not too much effort. most were from a poor background and wished to support their families. for most of them it is / was a temporary solution. a small minority (mainly students and such) joined the game for personal reasons to augment their income and live a more luxurious life. my thai gf could not find [CodeWord908] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord908) or under-age girls networks. that doesn't mean there aren't any, only that they must be well hidden and in the overall scheme of things of an extremely limited size.
it goes without saying that this was not the message the ngo wanted to hear and the report was never published: perhaps only the vatican's secret archives have a copy. ;)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpr7jxbmg24the documentary seems to have been made in 2002. so, it's 10 years out of date. it's also full of shit, but that's not the point. what struck me was at the beginning when the narrator said there were no jobs for these poor young girls, forcing them into prostitution.
here's an interesting site:
http://www.tradingeconomics.com/thailand/unemployment-rate
note the unemployment rate in june was 0. 55% it's been dropping like a rock for years, hence the shortage of girls in the bars. legitimate work has been an option for quite a while now.
i notice that even at the highest, in 2001, it was about 5. 75. that's a number that would give obama a hard-on, and it's their worst in over a decade.

i've sat thru the years with thais bargirls and former bargirls who sit around drinking and telling me the very same thing i saw in this video. i know several girls in the past in pattaya that have gone into bkk, so their family and friends wouldn't know or felt that beach road the opportunities weren't there or as good as bkk for the money? it seem in listening to them that although they had aids, they were working and getting back at farangs who they know gave them the aids, it was like who cares about them they certainly don't care about us. the thing that rings in my ear today is that " all farangs that come here treat us like dogs!"
as for the education in this country if they aren't attending a accredited international school, the government schools are no more than a baby sitting institution for their poor population. a student out of these schools come out with barely a kindergarden level english and can't even add or substract after 12 years without a calculator. today they leave at 15 years old which is middle school level unless you have money they leave without any future.
that being said regardless of the unemployment rate that there is no unemployment below the surface this is what i see in the local level like pattaya. you go to 7/11, lotus, burgerking, big c or big c, bangkok / pattaya hospital, top choeron, all the large franchises and observe do you see any old people? they stock these places with young good looking girls and people do you see any old people? or someone for example that is in their 30's.
this country discriminates not ony against us but their own people! unless you are lucky to work for the government there is no future for their poor people. this government like many give them enough so they don't *****. i was told once by a royal thai police in bkk over a drink " this country is a democracy but thai people don't know it " sure the education is better and sure it is got to have something to do with influx of girls working the bar scene but to me where are the people who are 30 plus working other than with the government?
just like the drugs being produced up in the golden triangle with their own army the government knows what is going on they are a big part of it like the video indicate. there are lots of human trafficing and **** stuff going on but no phd person or any person especially a thai is going to dig into this because the realility is they are digging their own grave. saying they did could not find any is just a polite way of saying they " can't ".
to many of you the stats might suggest the factory of sex workers have slowed and that might account for people saying not too many stunners and such and such but the flow continues however small. but in my life time there will still be a flow of girls as long as the same old same old mentalilty of men are still running this country regardless of having a women pm in the forefront. i read a column recently in the bangkok post written by a thai until the education system get serious and women demand more from their men the influx will continue which we all here benefit. in my experience what thai women don't understand based on their own country that women are view as second class (since the men can have more than one wife) the real same is their own country is the one that treat them like dogs?
just my 2 cents living with the thais many which today surround me like the girl in the video, i know several today who work as cashiers and such but the right price they will go with the customers and i didn't have to watch the end of the video to know she went with customer. and even today there are thousand of farangs like this guy in the video. the years have changed but regardless of the all the number it really hasn't changed except that the price for everything is going up including the drinks?
just my 2 cents of generalization!

The documentary seems to have been made in 2002.
It's dropping largely because tourists and sex tourist arrivals are going through the roof, thereby employing many more people in the tourism related businesses, including bars, gogos, MPs, etc.
If you noticed a shortage of girls in some bars, they were probably out doing a ST. With tourist arrivals increasing so dramaticly in the last 2 decades, there have no doubt been many new sex venues open up.
It seem in listening to them that although they had AIDS, they were working and getting back at Farangs who they know gave them the AIDS, it was like who cares about them they certainly don't care about us.The vast majority of Thai working girls are serious Buddhists, which means they don't believe in harming another life. Of course illicit drug & alcohol abuse over years, plus other issues, can screw up their heads & make some of them abnormal & dangerous. Like the recent post in the BKK thread of a gogo girl trashing a guys room.
The thing that rings in my ear today is that " All Farangs that come here treat us like Dogs!"I doubt many Thai P4P ladies have that attitude, which is nonsense. Like working girls in any country they encounter good & bad clients, with a very large majority being decent, and some being a spectacular boy friend experience for them, besides a handy ATM & potential husband.
Sure the education is better and sure it is got to have something to do with influx of girls working the bar scene but to me where are the people who are 30 plus working other than with the government?Burger King isn't the place to look for old aged employees, either in LOS or LA. You'll see the odd one, probably in management. And then there's the ones you don't see, in upper management & owners. I see old Thai working people all over the place everyday. If one doesn't live in at Golden Arches, they should too.
Note the unemployment rate in June was 0. 55% It's been dropping like a rock for years, hence the shortage of girls in the bars. Legitimate work has been an option for quite a while now.I disagree somewhat. Yes, the unemployment is low but then how many people are working for near starvation wages? You go into a restaurant and have 5 people wait on you, or the requirement of needing x number of Thai workers for every farang. Many jobs are bs. If Thailand ever decided to become even remotely efficient in terms of business, unemployment would skyrocket.

Now go to the farming areas of Thailand and tell me how they count, or do they not count the hill tribe people. Just because a guy or old (or young) lady sit on the stairs going to a BTS stop and holds out a cup for baht. Is she / he's what? Employed or just not "actively looking for a job"?

If Thailand ever decided to become even remotely efficient in terms of business, unemployment would skyrocket.I think you're both right, except I would not call the wages starvation wages. I don't see large number of homeless people in Bangkok, and the vast majority of people look reasonably well fed. I haven't spent enough time in other parts of the country to have a first hand opinion about the country as a whole.
I don't think the Thai economy will ever become efficient. The country is insulated enough and the economy centrally controlled to such a degree that there will always be enough menial, low paying jobs to support a minimal standard of living. Conflicts between the Red and Yellow Shirts aside, the Thai government knows it needs to make sure food prices are low enough and wages are sufficient to enable people to eat, and to the extent the economy permits, for people to have minimal housing and and a few cheap consumer goods.
I think the dwindling numbers of SW in Bangkok is attributable to two things: (1) the low unemployment rate and (2) the declining birth rates. There probably is a drop in the percentage of unskilled young women looking for "the easy money," but there are also fewer young women. While some women find prostitution so repugnant they will work menial jobs for minimal wages, there always have been and always will be some woman who find the wages of sin too attractive.
In North America and Western Europe there are attractive, well educated women who could have professional careers who opt to work as high end escorts. The money and life style are too attractive for them to pass up. College women at schools in large cities work in strip clubs and as part time hookers to support their education. A few of these women go on to become full time escorts because they can make more money as escorts than at the types of jobs they can get with their liberal arts bachelors degree. Similarly, we all know Bangkok is filled with attractive young Thai women who are university students, clerks and office workers who supplement their income turning tricks part time. I know one high end escort in Bangkok who sells real estate by day, another who was a primary school teacher who now makes very, very good money as a full time escort.
We also know in addition to the supple of SW decreasing the fees SW charge are increasing. That's just supply and demand; but as the supply-demand curve drives up wages prostitution will become more attractive and an equilibrium will be maintained. My recollection is there were fewer mongers and more good looking young SW in Bangkok 8 years ago, and they were much cheaper. Still, there were plenty of SW to meet the demand on my last visit in December 2012.
One additional factor is the relative tolerant attitude Thais have toward women who become prostitutes. For year I've had many conversations about this topic with middle class and wealthy, well educated Thais who have some sympathy for young Thai woman working as prostitutes. I also don't believe the common Thais back in the village are unaware of why young women from their village go to Bangkok. I'm convinced prostitution in Thailand just does not have the severe social stigma found in some other countries. I'm not saying it is "acceptable," but I don't believe the women who become prostitutes are made to be complete social outcasts. The girls in the gogs and MPs seem to form their own little subculture, but I think this is voluntary and not forced on them in the same way it is in less tolerant countries. For example the other ladies in the office know why a few of the women have more money and nicer clothes than they do. They may not be willing to become semipros, but at the same time they don't ostracize these co-workers.
As long as public education is poor, most jobs are low skill, attitudes towards prostitution are tolerant and sufficient numbers of mongers from countries with well developed economies visit there will be a sufficient supply of SW in Bangkok. And I don't see any of these things changing anytime soon.

If, in your rush to comment, you had paused and READ my post I asked for information about Thai Railways November maintenance programme and only facetiously asked about alternatives to maintain that the post had legitimacy on a sex board. No doubt had I not done so senior members who have nothing better to do than criticise the post of newer members would have objected.
Perhaps you might find time to comment on the relative merits of flying nd bus travel. Now that would be a useful way to spend your time.

I agree with nearly all of P. K. Opinions.
I can't speak for the middle class, what I can speak is the low class and poor. Yes there aren't many homeless you don't see them especially in Pattaya, the one's you see usually have so mental problem or destroy by drugs. Another reason is the Thai culture or Asian culture they take care of their own. Why you think the girls working are always sending money home? In a particular situation I question a women enough is enough, you are a women you have several older brothers one in particular is doing well and corrupt official why are you mad and upset at your farang husband for not giving you money to help finish your mother house. He already from what you tell me gave 95% why be mad at him. What the hell are your older brothers and sister doing we are talking 5% and you are willing to destroy your marriage over that?
It is easy to make enough money to get by go to the darkside of town in Pattaya, you will see areas line with tin can shacks with hardworking Thais preparing food to sell at the market. No education and many with educations but no future so the best thing and can do is cook. Find a market, pay 200 baht for the stand, some with key money like 6. 000 a year for the right to the location and hope to make gross 500 baht a day or night, that might get them 10, 000 a month. These types of work all through Pattaya pay no taxes at all and if it is a place like a pool hall you pay money for the cops each month the more illegal the business and more you make the more you pay. Take that gross and find a room for 1500/2000 baht a day excluding utilities and living in them 5 family members. I know because I rent to several families like this currently which is very common everywhere they survive on a 150 to 200 baht a day that includes food and kids lunch money so when they miss their rent payment I let it go but not the drunk ass Thai man I had who drank 20 plus Leo a month and tell me he has no money while his kid starved to death. I knew in time he would seek off in the middle of the night and he did.
Like the guy said lots of nice stats but it doesn't show what Thailand is all about? What they want you to see is the Land of Smiles? Bring the tourist in put them in the Vans and Buses and when they flip over and crash they cover it up just like the employment issue.
Just another point of view!

I went to SM to buy a plain t-shirt. There is a worker for each brand of t-shirt. So say you are looking at Brand A, the Brand A worker will have to help you. But if you go to the next rack over to look at Brand B, then the Brand A worker will fall off and the Brand B worker will have to help you. Whichever shirt you choose, that worker will take your item all the way across the store to the register and give it to one person who will ring it up and take your money. That person will give it to the person next to them along with the receipt and they will put it into a bag and staple it before handing it to you.

I notice this in the nicer department stores in Bangkok as well. Perhaps not to the same degree as in the Philippines but there are many more clerks in Bangkok department stores than in department stores in developed countries. The people who control the economy tolerate inefficiency because it gives people a little income and something to do. You don't want too many hungry, ornery people sitting around with nothing to do. They might start talking and get some dangerous ideas in their heads.

Just to be clear, department stores 'lease / rent' their space to brand owners. So each brand has their own sales / merchandiser / clerk working on commission basis to provide buyers with service. Department store collects combination of monthly rent plus profit margin for leasing the space, usually 30++% of selling price. Sales girls usually can earn up to another 10% commission on products.
This arrangement is the norm in Asia. In the US, the closest model is the cosmetic and / or fragrance counters.

My first girlfriend in college worked at the cosmetics counter in the mall, so I know exactly how that works. She worked for the cosmetics company, not the store. In the US our department stores buy beforehand most of the things that they sell in the stores, but the department stores in Asia only lease the space to the manufacturer or seller of the goods.

but the department stores in Asia only lease the space to the manufacturer or seller of the goods.Retailer is King in Asia:
1. Goods are also placed on 'consignment' basis. Meaning you stock the shelf, get paid only after it's been sold. If it fails to sell, they yell and tell you to pick up the goods.
2. They also charge you a 'listing fee'. Meaning, for the privilege of stocking your product on their shelf or space, you also need to pay an one time up-front fee.
3. Every quarter they also often ask you to run a 'sale'.
7/11 and similar convenience stores often also charge #2, plus if your stuff doesn't move within 30-60 days, they kick you out!
Dealing with retail in Asia is harder than kicking out a freebie the next morning :D

I have no knowledge of the status of the train from BKK to CM other than to have heard on several occasions that it is a nice, comfortable ride at a reasonable cost. It's on my list, but I have not ridden it yet. Nothing on the official website indicates that the northern line is down now.
From what I am told the bus (even the overnight VIP bus) is a long, tedious 12+ hour ride. Unless you are really strapped for funds, I'd avoid it.
Personally, I've made the trip from BKK to CM (and to Chiang Rai) several times. Each by air. I can usually get a RT ticket on Thai Airways for US$175-$200. I think other airlines may even be a bit cheaper, but I like Thai. They are a class act, and they fly several times each day. Valuing my time and comfort, I choose to travel this way. Although I may still take the train. Just for the experience. One of these days.

Oh Dear, Did I touch a raw nerve. <snip
Perhaps if I repeat it some of the more mature members might find time to respond.
I am sorry. I asked more mature people to reply. You obviously did not get the message.
Even dummies have some intelligence. I would not give up your day job and become a ventriloquist with this poster as your dummy.
Wrong. As usual by all accounts.
Let's stop argung about 'he paid, ' 'I paid, ' 'you paid'. The most boring posts are those arguing that "X" paid 'too much. ' There is enough information on guideline payments here to make any further discussion a non-event.
Ignorance is dangerous. Given your self confessed ignorance of the realities of India I suggest that any further contribution by you on the subject be regarded as ignorant ramblings.
Racist Rant. I find that the post above is so ignorant of reality, so stupid in its content and so unbelievable that I hope any Indian members here will correct the OP. As a visitor on many occasions to that country I find the catalogue of criticisms appears to describe an India I do not recognise so full as it is of anecdotal crap.

Even though your question may not be an ideal one for this forum, I think it still deserves a courteous response.
SWThis is a great response, considerate of you to take the time to give this guy a guy who considers himself "mature" but is nothing more than a immature ass who thinks too highly of himself!
There is nothing wrong with the question being ask here it was a simple one and I gave him a simple answer I know now I was wrong because he wanted his hand to be held like a little prick that he is and would settle for nothing more than a long extensive answer and as you can see my short and sweet answer rough up his neat little world.
But the answer you gave I seriously doubt if he can even buy a ticket by himself. As one can see from the summary given that the word "mature" is used loosely and has expanded to fit his needs.
Nevertheless, while he can't find the way to C.M. or look it up himself too stupid or lazy or both, I was out late late or early morning and decided to check out a oily, Soi Buakhao, Soi Honey, stop at Paradise that opens all night 24/7, 4-5 girls sitting outside but one standout, white skin, 25 years old name something like Not, Nok? girl in the end could easily work at a go go told me she was shy? but after a so so oil and lots of conversation in Thai no boyfriend and no baby great pair of tits all natural with good pair of legs. Did 69 with her for a long time and she does a good slow deep throat. Surely will repeat again she works from 8pm to 9am in the morning. Agree for special massage before 900 baht but gave her 1,000 this was FS. Now she did hit a raw nerve!

In the simplest possible terms I posted a question asking for information about Thai Railways, viz, is there any information on major track maintenance on the Bangkok. Chiang Mai main line.
Perhaps if I repeat it some of the more mature members might find time to respond.Check out the website www.seat61.com. It has alot of great info about train travel in southeast asia, including Bangkok to Chang Mai

SWThank you for you courteous reply.
Having travelled to Chiang Mai half a dozen times by train over the last ten years (and to Nong Kai A few times) I am keen to try the Japanese single berth first class sleepers rather than the older twin berth sleepers. If I do travel by train I will report. But you should try it. A great way to spend a night.
I do enough domestic flying in SE Asia to get bored with local flights!
Nok Air and Air Aisa are 1/2 the price. And flying time the same. Thanks, I had missed Nok Air in my research. Last time I flew Air Asia it reminded me of Ryan Air!
You have now firmly established yourself as one of those nasty little creatures that reside under a bridge (in this case our forum) only to come out waving and screaming for no reason except to annoy or pick fights with every passerby who happens to come along.Perhaps you might take time to read the polite responses to my question. And my replies. I hope they demonstrate 'politeness. '

LBM1. You missed the point. I asked about possible track maintenance.
2. I have bought train tickets in Thailand from agents whilst overseas, from local agents whilst in Bangkok and from the stain. The only person holding my hand was a diminutive Thai girl travelling with me.
3. I enjoyed, vicariously your description of your night out. Love cheap pornography.

It has alot of great info about train travel in southeast asia, including Bangkok to Chang MaiThanks; used it lots and thoroughly recommend it. The guy running it likes feed back and we have 'chatted' about the 'bamboo line' in Cambodia.
Uhhh. Couldn't this be said for people in general and has nothing to do with religion or being a Thai working girl? On the whole humans value life, but everyday in every country, people kill people. Not all people or hookers are created equal. I like my chances with a "life respecting" Buddhist Thai girl rather than with a PI, Indo or African.
That being said, though, again, there are bad apples everywhere. For example there were recent reliable reports of a TG working the streets near NEP, knowing she has HIV & having BBFS with customers. This worries the other girls working there. So unless you're "in the know" about who to avoid, or use "protection", beware. I could advise you not to take any ugly or average looking girls, but there's many guys here who think up is down. Luvpuss may have already stuck his joystick in her.

You mean like the "life respecting" Buddhist Thai girl that drugged my friend the other day?If you RTFs or government travel advisaries, etc, you'd know this is commonly warned about.
It happens in countries around the world, not just in Thailand or with TGs.
Too bad your friend committed a rookie mistake.
He wasn't the first & won't be the last.
Funny thing is, if I came on here warning about it & how to protect yourself, like I do with other things, a few would whine about it in the usual ways. While others would learn something & could be guaranteed to avoid what happened to your pal.

Thank you the compliment; however, one of the things that surprised me when I first started reading the Thailand threads on this forum is how much I was able to learn about Thailand and the Thais beyond the sex industry. I think there are a number of you guys who have broad and deep knowledge of Thailand. As I've mentioned in the past, thanks guys.
There's no education like first hand. I try to learn something from every girl I'm with and my experiences get better and better. Especially when you go beyond the bed. As fucked up as it is, you are almost better off not going to get to know the men. Too many cultural differences.
Excellent point. This was very evident in Jarkarta department stores and Traveler's explanation was a well written eye opener.

But why are the pharmaceutical industries not investing in malaria drugs and new antibiotics. The answer; they are too busy investing in drugs to keep the old and ancient alive (because they are prepared pay to to stay alive)
That's fine and quite sensible. But I work in the pharmaceutical business, and I can assure you that pharmacists have a much bigger commercial interest in selling you any old snake oil that anybody working in the pharma business, since 99. 99% of us have absolutely nothing to gain whether you buy a Pfizer drug or a J&J drug or neither. On the other hand a lifetime working in the industry does give us a bit of knowledge.
I've always wondered why the pharma industry gets such a bad rap. Most guys on the R&D side come into it from a scientific background with a real desire to improve the world's health. The marketing side of the pharma business can be pretty dodgy, but no worse than any other business (automobiles, banking, law, IT, PR, airlines: they're all pretty straight guys, right?) Pharmaceutical companies are in business to make money, as are all businesses. R&D's function is to develop new products that will make money. Marketing and sales function is to make money for the company from existing products. Simple as that.
There are what the medical community calls orphaned diseases. These are diseases that get no attention because businesses can't make enough money off them to justify the R&D. This problem is not created by the companies. It is a moral issue at a societal level. At one time the US government funded considerable drug development. Scientists worked on problems that were deemed valuable (but not necessarily profitable) by the scientific community. That is no longer the case. In the US virtually all pharmaceutical R&D is done within the industry. If you're a US citizen and want more attention paid to these orphaned diseases, elect politicians who support adequate funding for the NSF and NIH.
My personal experiences are consist with what Mouse writes, the doctors and scientists I've known who work on R&D in the industry are as he describes them. My biggest problem with the pharmaceutical industry has to do with the way they go about getting products approved for specific applications. This discussion can get pretty technical and is so far removed from ISG's purpose, I'm leaving it at that.
I wish we had some strict moderators at times to keep us all back to the topics of the thread. I admit to getting off track too. Some guys need to get laid very soon, I reckon.
You should be aware that 'sex in Bangkok' covers a bit more than immature men describing their sexual exploits providing vicarious reading for other immature males. Thus Bangkok Reports on viagra and testosterone are fully justified.
They do not relate to Bangkok Thread. We have a general thread for miscellaneous topics. Some deviation from thread purpose is to be expected. You could read up on the aims of the forum. Good positive experience reports are something that is generally accepted and desired by many readers.
On one hand you say reports on Testosterone are justified, and on the other you say you aren't going to give any credence to the opinions of others, no matter how well researched and knowledgable they might be. If your opinion differs, fine, state your opinion, otherwise why dump on the others? Instead of just knocking others, add some more value. This is a interesting issue. How much moderation is appropriate? Seems ISG gets almost no moderation. I know racial issues are taboo, to the point that I got my wrist slapped for paraphrasing some technical information in a scientific journal on genetics as it pertains to race. You have to be careful about criticizing ISG or you will also get a demerit point. The forum appears to give us a lot of room to attack each other. Maybe a little more policing is needed there, but then I'd have to tone down the foulmouthed, opinionated, ranting persona that manifests itself in some of my posts. I agree with Syzygies that getting off thread topic is a problem, and I'm one of the guilty ones. Problem is monitoring this problem would be work for the forum moderator. I'll leave that at that. I think the practical solution is for us to be more disciplined.

I think the practical solution is for us to be more disciplined.I don't think getting a bit off topic matters too much if it doesn't dominate the discussion. Some other forums like the German ones are much cleaner because they are strongly moderated by sensible moderators (not too emotional and not too sensitive). Moderators bring the discussion thread back in line as they have the power to delete posts that start going too far. Jackson has cleaned out stuff on occasions too, some of it trash and some of it sensible but off topic. Of course German forums have very few personal attacks, because the moderators do not tolerate it. Anyone misbehaving too much may get thrown out, I guess. In German forums, posters write much more freely with little fear of criticism, so get more candid opinions, and there is great toleration that different guys can find a particular place or girl has completely different appeal or lack of it. YMMV is the dominant belief. So there is no need to dump shit or vitriole on those merely holding a different opinion. If we had moderators to stop all the completely negative shit dumping posts, the forum would be better IMHO. There would be no need to counter-attack after receiving senseless attacks. However sometimes the moderators may need moderating too. They are certainly not infallible. LOL.
Good moderation requires finding someone good who is willing to do it regularly. Unfortunately that probably doesn't exist for the Thailand forum.
Unfortunately it is very hard to discuss anything that relates to differences in race, culture, religion, etc. Without some overly sensitive people raising the "racist" flag all the time, even if you write generally accepted facts. Neurosmyth claimed I was racist for thinking that black guys on average had bigger dicks (not a fact as such) , where I cannot see the harm, even if there was no scientific evidence behind my belief (brainwashing) and only observation and x rated movies. I don't see my comment was unfavourable to black guys in any way. Even the term "black" is not acceptable to all, even though my dark skinned female close friends call themselves "black" girls without any problem. Basically they are happy to accept that black girls are more horny (or less stodgy) and generally better at sex.
Someone wrote that certain establishments were refusing entry and the reason for refusal could not be proved to be racially based. That person was purely stating the status quo, but was immediately assumed to be in favour of the racial discrimination.
So yes, one has to be very careful not to offend the racially sensitive types, so certain topics are best avoided completely.

Kythera Biopharmaceuticals said a drug intended to treat double chins met its goals in two late-stage clinical studies. ATX-101 injection reached its main and secondary goals in the trials. The drug worked better than placebo at reducing fat in the submental area of the neck, which can create the appearance of a double chin. ATX-101 is intended to destroy fat cells while leaving other tissue largely unaffected. The company also said patients were happier after treatment with the drug than placebo! Bayer has applied for permission to sell it in Europe starting on 2014.
Another marvelous example of better living through modern medicine.

don't want to beat a dead horse on the india discussion of the past on this thread, but this excellent well written article by an educated indian, who is clearly not racist, validates every statement i offered on the subject and explains in detail why i won't be going to india any time soon.i had thought that i would not be talking about indians after the last fiasco on this subject, when people accused me of being the bad person. however, you brought it up. the author of this article is basing his views on his own experience growing up. although quite a bit of what he says is true, it does not address the issue of indian men about their attitudes towards women, which was the original subject. what you and the others who think indian men are so lovely, need to go and stay in india for some time. i too am a product of india, who came to the americas in the late 70's.
india has it's multitude of goddesses for almost everything imaginable. the goddess of learning, wealth, strength etc. etc. they have religious celebration and pay homage to them. the author is partly right, that deference to women is limited to the temple precincts. however, in many cases women are not allowed in certain temples or if they are having their monthly period. the temples had their own set of dancing girls who in some cases offered comfort to men. women are looked down and treated like shit. if you look at the indian papers, everyday there are reports of honor killings, [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123), gender based abortions and violence.
the difference between the indians and the west is that in the west the women are treated with respect. that is not evident in india on a large scale. a large number of indian men who are roaming the world on their work or tourist visas bring along that culture. i have seen it not only in bkk but most anywhere they go. they are never willing to learn the good aspects of the west, forget about trying to assimilate to their new surroundings. they think the women are the same all over the world.
it is not surprising to see that when their asses are kicked by the western women, they immediately fall in line. when they are in thailand, they regard the working girls beneath their contempt and treat them accordingly. the thai women, being the pacifist kind, don't fight back. and the indian men see that as a weakness and exploit them. four for one price, anyone? there are many things india can be proud of, but not on this one.
so, daddy07, you can elect not to go to india, but that is your prerogative. but you should go and visit the country. it will open your eyes. there is a lot of rich history, different culture and cuisines for one to explore. after all, we gave the kamasutra to the world.

I won't be going to India any time soon.I don't think India will be any the worse off for your absence. However you will miss the opportunity of visiting one of the most vibrant, fascinating and rich cultures in the world. You will miss history both of the past and of the future as India strives to deal with a multitude of problems. Whilst the relationship between Indian men and women has a long way to go it is not all bad. Change is happening.
But India does not befit from uneducated prejudices and ignorant (in not knowing) visitors.
I don't think India will be any the worse off for your absence. However you will miss the opportunity of visiting one of the most vibrant, fascinating and rich cultures in the world.Well, it's a big country with a lot of people from diverse backgrounds and a long history, so yes, there is a lot to learn about. Not sure it is any more fascinating than any other mix of cultures.
Apart from problems with men / women relationships, India is faced with the issue of the huge disparity between obscene wealth and shocking poverty. Compounded with a rigid hierarchical caste system, India is storing up huge problems for itself, and it won't be long before the underclass seeks a fairer receipt of the spoils of economic development. Just my opinion.

So I am messing around earlier adding plans and making lists for my trip to Bangkok / Pattaya. I will be travelling from mid November to mid December.
Luckily for me it seems, I come across an interesting little part in the fine print of my email flight booking confirmation.
"Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your intended return date."
Knowing that my passport is due to expire next year, I think very little of it, but after a while something is eating away at me compelling me to go and check. Sure enough I realise that my passport will expire approx 4 months after I land in Thailand.
Not sure what this all means, I start to do some research and conclude that some people have experienced landing in Thailand with less than 6 months validity on their passports and have been refused entry. Others have been refused boarding to the aircraft at their departing airport as supposedly the airline can face serious fines for carrying a passenger in with less than 6 months validity.
Not sure how accurate the information I have researched is, or how strict they are on passport validity, but I will be renewing my passport asap.
Kinda really glad I checked now, as arriving with the bags full and being told to get out would kinda blow.

Airlines don't require the validity. Countries do. If you want to travel with less validity, that's your call. But don't be surprised if you are turned away.Well, you are wrong. If you read all the fine print on the emails that comes with airline reservation, you will see notifications by the airlines that you must have 6 months on you passport. And indeed some airlines do check passports and refuse to board anyone with less than 6 months on their passports. Ryanair in particular has a reputation for doing this. I've never asked what they are looking for, but when I check my bag at my point or origin I notice my passport is carefully scrutinized by the person at the counter. I've always assumed one of the things they are looking for is whether I have 6 months left on my passport.
I suppose airlines could allow people to board with passports that will soon expire, but that would be a very bad policy.

I suppose airlines could allow people to board with passports that will soon expire, but that would be a very bad policy. If they did happen to allow it then they would face a fine by the country you were trying to enter. In addition to that, you would be turned around in immigration and led to a small room until which time said airline would have to put you on the next flight to where you came from. Both are mentioned in the original post.
Many times when you get off an international flight you will see agents holding a sign with peoples' names. Those are the people who slipped through the cracks for whatever reason. But as long as they catch it before the person reaches the immigration counter then there will be no fine. You don't fuck around with immigration and customs.

However, airlines CAN let passengers go to Thailand with less than 6 months left on their passport.

Those are the people who slipped through the cracks for whatever reason. They are usefully fist class passengers or VIP's being picked up at the plane to be taken through immigration on fast track passengers. Sometime the signs are also for any passenger with a very tight and short connection, being taken straight to the next plane / gate. Nothing to do with your assumptions.

However, airlines CAN let passengers go to Thailand with less than 6 months left on their passport.I was surprised to discover that Thailand only requires 90-days on the passport.

And here is the text.
Check the current validity of your passport.
All travelers will need a passport valid for at least 90 days following your departure date from Thailand. However, we strongly recommend traveling with 6 months validity on your passport at all times. VisaHQ can assist USA citizens with a full range of expedited passport services, including new passport application and passport renewal.
I'm not sure if the airlines get fined, or if it is more about covering their asses. If they bring someone to Thailand that is denied, then they have to bring them out. This may end up costing the airline a bit.Airlines can be fined by the host county but it is not an automatic fine and the fine is subjective up to a certain limit / amount. The fine is based on the severity and the amount of infractions the airlines have with the host country. Visitors who are denied entry in any country will most likely have a round trip ticket so the airline will not lose much on rescheduling their return flights if they are refused entry. Almost impossible to get any airline to transport visitors from one country to another on a one way, (unless they also have an onward ticket to another country) ticket these days because the airlines know if passengers are denied entry then they, the airline would have to pick up the tab for their return flight to wherever they came from.

That is not the Thai Government Official site, that is a third party site giving out information. The official Thai Embassy/Consulate says your passport must be valid for six months after the expected date of entry into Thailand.
Also, text from the U. S Dept of State.
http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1040.html
ENTRY / EXIT REQUIREMENTS FOR USA CITIZENS: If you are a USA citizen tourist staying for fewer than 30 days, you do not require a visa, but your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your entry into Thailand. Thai Immigration officials may ask for your onward / return ticket, and airlines may ask for this information when you book or check in.
And from Thai Consulate:

That is not the Thai Government Official site, that is a third party site giving out information. As I am familiar with this company. I am well aware that they are not a government agency. I was very surprised to read their claim that only 90 days remaining on the passport is required for a Thai visa. I had never heard of this.
All I can say is that it is a reputable company whose business is helping people get visas and passports. Apparently they can get visas to Thailand for US citizens with only 90 days on the passport at time of departure from Thailand. I have no idea how they do this. Notice that they strongly recommend traveling with a passport that will be valid for at least another 6 months at the time of return.

Your original post and subsequent reply read like you were surprised about the 90 day rule and you genuinely believed it to be true. If you knew or suspected the info was wrong it would have been better for you to post their info and correct it instead of posting it like it was gospel only to make your disclaimer after the fact.

Otherwise, shame on you for blatantly misrepresenting my post.
I wrote that I was surprised to read they can get a Thai visa for a US citizen with a passport so close to expiring. I did not say I think or know the information is incorrect. This is a sizable company whose headquarters is in Washington, D. C. They have been in business for over a decade, have close relationships with the major embassies in that city, and have offices in several other cities. They are skilled at getting passports and visas quickly and are adept at dealing with red tape. I have known people who have used and had nothing but good things to say about their services. I do not think they would claim to be able to do something they could not do.
Personally, an expiring passport is not something I even think about. I've always had mine renewed by about the end of the ninth year.

Indeed I cannot understand why it is an issue worth discussion. I can envisage situations where it is plain stupidity not to renew a passport once it has less than a year to run.

I can envisage situations where it is plain stupidity not to renew a passport once it has less than a year to run.How true. If you've been following the posts, this started when a member discovered the 6 month rule for the first time.
Some people apply for a passport, use it once and then never think about it again until a decade later when they plan another trip, only then to discover their passport has expired. Fortunately, one can pay the freight and expedite the application for a new passport.
People who travel more regularly, as is probably the case with most ISG members, are probably aware well in advance of when their passport is due to expire.
Maybe someday in the future one or two poor sots who are unaware of the 6-month rule will stumble across these useless posts and think to check their passports' expiration dates.

Senior member over at the Usasexguide site, just starting here.
Few questions for all western expats living in Bangkok or Thailand in general. Especially those that work there.
I have planned for some time to move to Thailand when I retire, lately have been considering it sooner. How many of you, that are from the west or AU, work in Thailand. And, without giving away details, what sort of work is it? Ie. Work for western corp that has office in Thailand, work for Thai company, own my own business, etc.
It is possible I may be able to continue working for my currently company and just work remotely from Thailand (or where ever). But I like to cover all my bases.
Thanks
