And if you keep looking hard you will find several such interesting places. BTW Lisa Bar is a dive on Soi 6, not to be confused with this gem.

There is another place, called Relax Bar. When you have driven up 2nd road all the way to Dolphin Circle, turn left to go back to Beach Road. Immediately after you turn you will see this little bar with stunning chicks. Again, an Asian haunt. Give it a go. You will be pleasantly surprised. Hard to miss, it is the only bar on the street.

Another such place is Tim's Bar that has been reported a few times here.

If you walk up Soi Buakhaow all the way where it meets Pattaya Central Road, you will find a couple more such places.

There is also a rash of bars on Soi Made in Thailand that are further up from 2nd Road. Has decent talent if you really take the effort to look hard.

Most people look at the bar adjoining the main street and give up. But those who know the town will agree there are always diamonds in the rough waiting to be found.

Here is my experience in regards to places around Soi Baukhao and Chaiyapoon. I would say I've hit around 2 dozen shops in the last two years. When I do try a new place it is because the girl outside has attracted me for some reason. Ok guys, I finally got around to reviewing my previous visit to Pattaya, which was from April 20 through May 2. I closed out my last report saying I felt I was less active than in my previous visits, and a review of the data showed that to be true. In 13 days I was with 17 different ladies for 21 encounters, for an average of just 1. 6 girls per day. Previously I averaged 2 to 2. 5 girls a day, so I certainly slowed down a bit. The total amount I spent for the 21 encounters was a bit under $1,100 total (fines, tips and fees only), for an average spent per encounter of about $51 per girl.

They charge me 1200 THB, and the driver always picks me up on time in a spotless car and doesn't drive like he's in the Monaco Grand Prix. I usually fall asleep in the back seat.

The ride at that time is pretty much seamless. Light traffic on the highway and at the airport. And I get to enjoy another late night in Pattaya.

My last stay in Pattaya and Bangkok was from June 5th to June 13th. I spent 6 days in Pattaya and 3 days in Bangkok. The last 3 days in Bangkok I was with a VLT but I still made some visits to Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy and the last day in Sukhumvit 22 massage parlors.

In total I spent 1400 for girls and 150 for drinks during visits to the gogos. I averaged 3 girls a day. Or averaged also 51 per meeting (about 2000 B). BKK: I think Nana Plaza is a little more open to Indians than Soi Cowboy, Billboard in particular. After-hour clubs like Insanity, Mixx, Levels will let you in if you dress well- I have seen many Indian guys at these venues from Dubai or London doing stag parties, etc.

Pattaya: Sapphire is really good for non Asians. I actually think Insomnia / Ibar, Lucifer, 808 are all pretty open to Indians (again, as long as you appear to be cool). Just avoid going to the bars that cater specifically to Japanese / Korean like Baccara, Peppermint, Palace as I very rarely see even more than a handful of white guys there. The soapy Rasputin is also worth checking out and I've seen tons of Indian guys there before.

My friend and I (Both Indians) have visited Pattaya Four times and here is what we did and had a great time.

- Book in a nice hotel: We always stayed in LK Metropolitan, Two Bedroom Suite (Good first impression, when the girls come into our room). This time we are going to stay in LK Empress (Three bedroom suite).

- Dress like going for a casual dinner in a star hotel (No shorts, only shoes,.) and wear a nice perfume (At least a Hugo boss).

- Get girls from Beach Road, Beer Bar. Do not Negotiate.

- Go to bars like Insomnia and Lucifer, after getting girls.

- Tip the waitress in the Bar for every drink order (We ordered shots every 15 minutes).

- Tip the assistants in the Restroom Area (They provide a wonderful two minute massage, that will freshen you up).

- Tip the doormen when you leave.

- We usually take Foot Massage daily and don't forget to Tip them too (They will recognize you the next time and offer good service).

- Respect the Girls and they will take care of you.

If for any reason a girl is not willing to go with you, don't take any offence and move on to meet the next girl.

I walk down Soi 6, I walk along Beach Road, I go up and down Walking Street, look into go-go bars, scan the go-go bar doorgirls, look into the discos. Actually, I wouldn't limit my observations about notably fewer really attractive girls in Pattaya compared with Bangkok to just the bars and P4P venues (hobbying). I have been hard-pressed to find particularly good looking girls working in places like Central Festival, in the department stores, serving in the restaurants, etc. It makes total sense; why would real head-turners in any job working before the public stay to work in Pattaya rather than go to work in Bangkok, unless family ties kept them there? Which is a pretty rare occurrence in this country.

The correct answer most will give you is to try both. Some prefer Bangkok, others prefer Pattaya. Pattaya is more expensive if gogo bars are your thing. Barfines in Pattaya gogo bars are almost double. iBar is way cheaper than the Bangkok discos. Bangkok does not have anything close to a Soi 6. Beer bars are more prevalent in Pattaya. They're literally everywhere. Beach Road is about equivalent to the Nana FL's. I'll give the edge to Nana FL's lookswise but Beach Road is cheaper. Pattaya does not have a place like Thermae or Thaniya Road. Soapies cheaper in Pattaya. No designated oilies area in Pattaya. I don't go to or recommend many of the above. Just listing a comparison for you.

Not sure if Pattaya is physically smaller area wise. I haven't measured but I'm sure the distance from Walking Street to Soi 6 is further than Nana to Soi Cowboy.

I would not be surprised if that leverage to under perform as SOP under the circumstances and in that environment is one of the reasons many girls avoid Bangkok and go to find work in Pattaya instead.

Now, if you have focused on a relatively unknown or little mentioned go-go bar or two where, if the planets are lined up just right and you follow the latest buzz on what is hot this moment, that is where the really impressively hot Pattaya girls are hiding, great. Maybe that is also where all those Indian guys can be seen taking damn good looking Thai girls for ST/LT if you know where to go at just the right time. But they must be taking them to rooms on the nearly secret go-go bar's premises, because I honestly cannot recall a sighting of such a thing out in public in any of the half dozen or so trips I've taken to Pattaya in the past few years. But the reverse has been the case since I moved to Thailand about 6 years ago.

Soi 6 is such an awesome place I want to do what I reasonably can to keep the owners happy so they, one, will not sell out and, two, possibly apply some of the profit to fixing or at least maintaining the rooms. Skip Glass House there are girls but nothing good, unless you just want to walk a few steps between Glass House, Ginza, and Nui 2.

Be warned KC1 is not nearly as good now as a year ago and every other Patpong gogo bar was very dead. Thaniya Road is very busy though but we all know the issues there.

Billabong and Thirsty Camel are not gogo bars. They are beer bars in LK Metro. Billabong quality is like ibar so don't expect much.

Caveat. I take no responsibility in a bar being bad when you go. Timing and luck play a big factor in whether a Pattaya gogo bar is rocking on a particular night.

I stayed a few days in Pattaya recently and enjoyed visiting some gogo bars. When I barfined a few of the gogo girls, I normally had pretty good experiences. For now however, I would like to report a scam case and warn my fellow mongers not to fall victim to this cheating as well.

On July 26,2018 (I. E. The day before Asalha Bucha. Buddhist celebration in Thailand), I visited the Shark Bar in Walking Street Soi 15 (same Soi as the previous Angel Witch). It seems that the Shark bar is now in the premises of the previous "Beach Club".

I ordered a draft beer, and shortly thereafter, two girls joined me. They were quite ok, and I enjoyed their party. So, I ordered two Lady Drinks, one for each of them. About half an hour later. It was around 23:15 h. I decided to leave and thought there is enough time to hit another bar, before they close. Due to the Buddhist Holiday, closing hour on July 26 was 12 AM / midnight.

I paid the three drinks (90 + 155 + 155 = 400 THB) and handed a 1'000 THB note to the waitress. Since I needed some smaller change, I did not give her any of the two 500 THB notes in my wallet. When the waitress came back with the change, I noticed that it was only 100 THB. I complained and reminded her that I gave 1'000 THB, therefore the change should be 600 THB. She insisted, however, that I gave her a 500 THB note only.

I was and still am absolutely 100% sure I gave her 1'000 THB. As a matter of fact, the Shark bar was the first place I visited that night, after leaving my hotel room. I had no expenses between leaving the room and entering the Shark bar. And, before leaving my room, I had counted all my money in the wallet and knew exactly how many notes of what denomination were in my wallet. So, for me it was easy to find out that, indeed, I gave her a 1'000 THB note, since one of them was missing in my wallet, but no 500 baht note was missing. Nevertheless, she stubbornly insisted that I gave her a 500 THB note. Even the two gogo girs (still sitting with me) confirmed that I gave 1'000 THB to the waitress. So, I called the manager (a lady). She was visibly pissed off and little motivated to help sorting this out. She told me to come back on July 28, after the Buddha holidays. By then, they would have counted the income from that evening and could figure out whether there was any 500 THB too much in their hands. Knowing the mess they have with the money in these bars, I already knew that coming back was no option at all, and I requested that the money be counted immediately. Finally, the manager instructed the staff to count the money right away. Still, I would have been extremely surprised, had they found "too much money" in their pockets.

I repeatedly told the manager, as well as the waitress that I had counted all the notes in my wallet and that there was absolutely no doubt at all that I had given a 1'000 THB note. I knew, I was wasting my time. But for me, it was now not really about the money anymore. I was just very disappointed to fall victim to such a simple and stupid scam. Actually, during my 20+ years of coming to Pattaya, I visited countless bars in Pattaya, but this was the first time to be cheated so bluntly.

Meanwhile, one full hour after my payment had elapsed. The bar was already closed, and the staff was still counting the money. Or at least, they pretended doing so. The manager now told me that also the two gogo girls sitting with me before, had confirmed that I handed only 500 THB to the waitress. Ok, the case became clearer: it was obviously an intentional scam, and the bar had instructed the girls to lie. There was no progress at all, and I had already threatened the manager that I would call the police if there is no progress. Now, it was time for calling the men in brown.

I left the bar and went to the police officers posted at the beginning of Walking Street. There are always some "Tourist Police" officers and some Thai Police officers. Finally, I could convince them to accompany me to the bar: one Tourist Policeman, two Thai Policeman, and one (female) Police Assistant. Back in the bar, the staff seemed to still count the money. The manager was obviously pretty frustrated that I came back with the police. However, she told them that they "had not found any excess cash of 500 THB". Hence, it was. As expected. Word against word. Meanwhile, the assistant took a few pictures with her smartphone. But even the policemen could not motivate the bar manager to agree to a reasonable solution. I guess that everybody already knew clearly that the bar team cheated. But the bar was probably afraid that by offering a solution, they would admit the scam. Hence, they insisted on their version.

Not very encouraging. But I learnt a few things. The police told me that these gogo bars are equipped with CCTV systems that supervise all the action. In case of a dispute (and possibly for other reasons as well), the CCTV recordings can be used as proof. Good to know! Therefore, the policemen recommended me to formally report the next day to the official police station in Beach Road. The police there would have the power to request the bar to open the CCTV and to review the recording. Then it would become visible what kind of banknote I handed to the waitress. Well, the recommendation was good, and I would have done all this, for the sake of punishing scammers. But the time for my departure was approaching, and due to the Buddhist Holidays as well as the King's birthday, I had no chance to see this CCTV recording before my departure. Hence, there was no chance either to see the bar team losing face and to get my money back. As frustrating it was, I had to give up.

The lessons for me (and perhaps for some fellow mongers as well) are as follows:

- If ever I can, I shall pay with the smallest possible banknote (recommendation by the police).

- Whenever giving a banknote to the waitress, I shall tell her the denomination, e. G. "I give you one thousand baht" and make sure she realizes what I am saying. Best would actually be asking her to repeat the amount.

- And, of course, always to check the change and to complain if it is not correct.

- If there is any scam, always report to the police. If there is a bar that regularly cheats, this will damage its reputation and increase the chances to nail them down.

Obviously, I will not visit the Shark bar anymore, whenever I come back to Pattaya.

If you, fellow mongers want to do a favor to me and to you as well, please avoid visiting the Shark bar in future! And, should you still go there, I strongly recommend to follow the above procedure. Such advice is also useful in general for any other bar, I guess.

I am afraid that this is all what I (or we) can do in this case. At least, I wanted you to be warned about the scam practices in the Shark bar in Pattaya (and possibly in other bars as well).

P.S. The police told me that this was the first time they got aware of a scam in the Shark bar, though it was a pretty obvious case. They told me, on the other hand, that they hear a lot of cheating cases (with much bigger amounts!) from the Russian-owned bars, I. E. Those with "European Girls'. So, be warned there as well.

On July 28, the bars were still closed until midnight. So, it was a good time to go to one of the soapies. I chose Honey 2 in Second Road, near Soi 2.

When I arrived around 8:30 PM, the place was packed, and a lot of Indians were there. It looked like they had dumped a number of package tour buses here and the tour included a soapie visit.

In the fishbowl, there were a few nice ones. However, when I entered the place, there was a window just left of the entrance, with the VIP girls. One of them was on my radar, and she had a nice smile. Her number is V2, she has a pretty face, very good body and perfect be-cup boops.

When I asked one of the staff, he told me that 1. 5 hours would be 3'800 baht. I found it a bit steep. However, after searching the other girls, I ended up looking at V2. So, I asked another staff, and she told me 3'200 baht. I found this very interesting and finally decided for V2. I gave 100 baht to the second staff, paid 3'200 baht at the counter, and went with V2 to the room.

I don't want to spend too much time describing the procedure here, since this has been done many times. Just so much:

- Very nice service by a very pretty and humorous girl.

- Quite reasonable English skills.

- Open minded, talkative and good experience.

- She pushed a bit too much with the time, though. Probably, management told them to finish earlier than 1. 5 hours due to the masses of customers waiting. This was the only negative aspect.

During our session, V2 told me a bit about the prices, which I found worthwhile to post here. I assume that Honey 2 is not the only place where they have similar practices.

Prices for VIP girls at Honey 2.

- For Thai men = 3'200 baht.

- For Indian men = 3'800 baht.

- For Chinese men = 4'200 baht.

I don't comment on this, and I am not racist at all. But I find it very interesting. It means that we really have to be careful not to pay exaggerated prices. The good news for me was that I did not pay more than any Thai would pay. V2 confirmed this.
