This place is a rip off. Be careful. Unattractive girls for a large amount of money. Run by a couple of cowboys. This place was shut down by the police a few months ago, but it has now reopened. Much cheaper and better options in Pattaya.
I have 4 nights coming up in LOS next week, and I need to make the most of every night. It'll be my second trip, although the first one barely counts as I only had 24 hours in BKK.
Now that I have a little more time I'm tempted to try Pattaya also. But part of me thinks it would be a waste of time. Since it's a short stay my main consideration is not saving money, but getting the best looking young ladies possible. If the odds of that are lower in Pattaya, I don't know if it's worth going. Service is somewhat important too, but looks are #1

I spoke to some locals about where to find the best gogo girls. They said AngelWitch. I went there twice, but I just didn't see a lot of quality. I found better looking women at Sisterz and 'The Airport Club'. Although the fact that Sisterz has a ladyboy dancing on stage makes me want to gag!
The Airport Club is the first place I've ever been rejected by a prostitute. Usually they are glad to go with me since I look pretty good. It really hurt. I was telling some British guys about it. I think calling them a ripoff is a bit strong but if they're still charging the same prices as Eden then they're expensive in Pattaya. Pattaya prices have traditionally always been 1/2 of Bangkok.

There are plenty of stunners in Pattaya if thats what your after but what is a stunner, one stunner to you maybe not my type of stunner.
If service to you is only "somewhat" important and looks are No 1 then you want a trophy girl who looks good walking around on your arm, I prefer a girl with the right attitude, a lovely friendly and warm smile and someone who will want to be with me.
Plus Pattaya is a sea resort with a lot less smoke and smog than in Bangkok, I remember when I first landed at Don Muang airport and walked out to the taxi area and the smoke hit me so badly I was coughing for days and walking along Sukhumvit road (Bangkok)/Silom etc, was equally as bad at times.
Pattaya for me, 168 days to wheels up.

Why would they crack down during the low season in this economic crisis? Are the cops hurting financially and looking to extract 1000 Baht notes from SW working girls there, like they do to them around NEP in BKK? Maybe it would be 500 Baht bills in Pattaya, eh, as I understand that 500 is a common ST price there while it's usually 1000 in BKK.
Are the cops chasing away all the SWs on Beach Road? Is Pattaya a WOT in that case? {I know BKK would be significantly less desirable if there were no SWs around, and I would likely turn to the FL market in places like Thermae and BG.) Surely the BR WGs have gone some where. Maybe you can find out where they are going instead. Of course if you had phone numbers from when you've been there before, it might not matter so much if there is a crackdown or not, since you could still contact some of them.
If you don't return to Pattaya, what are the alternatives for you? Bangkok {is more expensive}? Cambodia {far away}? Online porn? OP can do me for months at a time till I get to LOS and am very hungry for a female body, although after a few months of them every day I'm bored and craving OP again in Canada.

If a girl is going to take the risk to steel from you, then it is also worth the risk to get a fake ID. Some hotel I have been to, the security guards will not release the girl until they have spoken to the customer to confirm everything is ok.
But if you don’t answer the phone, would they persist or just let her go!
Combination safe are not so great either, as some have a overriding combination No set at factory, which many hotel do not change. Even if they do change, this No is widely known throughout hotel staff.

Could you tell us exactly how she pulled the heist? Did you have your "huge amount of cash" in your safe? If so, how did she get to it? Or did you have it just lying around in your room? How did she avoid the "great seurity" and CCTV?
The reason I ask is because I too like to take girls back to my place where I feel most comfortable; my building has great security too; and I keep any amounts of cash over 3000 baht or so in my room safe. If a girl tried to steal my laptop computer or any other large items, she'd have to get past security, and that would be difficult.
Pattaya is just way way way more full on than Bangkok for girls...it is just absolutely everywhere...the town is there for only one purpose and that is sex..it is quite simply the worlds biggest outdoor brothel..literally!! Every street, every bar every hotel..it is unbeleivable first time you see it.
BUT in my opinion if you just purely want the best looking girls and are not concerned about money then you wil find everything you need in Bangkok for certain..in fact I and many people i know beleive that Bangkok is a much better destination for whoring than Pattaya...you wont find anything in Pattaya that you wont find in Bangkok....there is just a lot more of it in Pattaya but the quality is largely very low there in my opinion...and the stunners there ask the same as Bangkok anyway...

Pattaya is a spectacle worth seeing but for pure whoring probaly better off in Bangkok if time is limted...but you should make the efort to mix it up and also get out to Ratchadapisek road in the afternoons and not just get stuck in Nana and Cowboy (forget Patpong, it is a total waste of time in my opinion..

I spoke with two older gentlemen (65 and 70) who identified themselves as 'economic refugees' from the UK. I asked them why the girls along the beach road didn't look so good. They told me that the police were cracking down and it was deterring new talent from arriving and going to work. I guess what's there now was already there for some time. There's a few cute ones (and some pretty young ones too), but you've really got to look hard.
I spoke with a few of the cuter girls just to see how friendly there were. I was not impressed with the attitude. "You want lady for short time? " was about all the conversation I got. I have to say that in Rio when I meet a lady I sometimes feel like I'm making a new friend. Not so much in Thailand.
For me this one is easy. Pattaya was far superior in my mind. It was my first time in Thailand. I'm actually a big fan of Rio, but I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Besides I love Asian women. I'm one of those guys who is into stunners also. Just thought I'd mention that so you can know my frame of reference. She has to have a good attitude though.
When I arrived in Thailand I went to Bangkok for two nights. I stayed at the Davis Hotel (that I heard of from this site) with no problems, hassles, or lady ID b. S. When bringing lady back from Soi Cowboy. I thought the girls in Soi Cowboy were pretty good, but then I went to Pattaya for two weeks. I then returned to Bangkok for one night before leaving. My second time to Bangkok I was amazed that the women I initially found to be pretty stellar, were not nearly as good as the women in Pattaya. The bar fines I was quoted for both short time and long time were double in Bangkok (as some other members also observed).
Another problem with Soi Cowboy (Bangkok) is the Japanese guys. Many of the women wouldn't give me the time of day (in Rio they treat me like a king even though I'm old, 46, because I look pretty good). But in Soi Cowboy it seemed more mercenary. They didn't give a crap what I looked like. It was explained to me by some expats that the Japanese offer the girls the 3-3-3 plan. As a consequence, many girls only go with the Japanese guys and ignore the others. Want to know what 3-3-3 is? 3, 000 TBH, 3 inch dicks, done in 3 minutes, and back to the club!
I found a better attitude in Pattaya. Still more mercenary than Rio according to my initial observations. I did find a really sweet girl at 'Catz A Go Go'. She looked like an amazing stunner on stage, but after I bar fined here and took her to my hotel, she didn't look as stunning as she did dancing on stage in nothing but a sash. She was really into me which I'm sure is why her bar fines for me were really low. And god was she sweet. She basically became my 24/7 girlfriend for eight days. I stayed at the Marriot which was a paradise! With their back entrance on beach road, you go nowhere near the lobby so there is no walk of shame! What a joy to bring my lady back with no hassles! (in Brazil I now rent apartments to avoid this nonsense).
I wasn't too impressed with bar girls in Pattaya. However, you need to go into one of these places and take a very good look. I found a serious stunner (a stunner in a kind of 'girl next door' kind of way), and very sweet. The bar was 'Simon'. I walked through the place all the way to the water. Dozens of girls in the numerous 'stalls' were screaming at me. How do you choose? Finally I spotted a girl in a nearby stall. She was so cute and sweet. She spoke no English! The girls at 'Simons' are apparently prepared for this. The girls want to play games with you. Her name was Nuk (imagine that! Every girl in Thailand is named Nuk or Noy! ) and we play three games of Jenga. I would have barfined her except that the language barrier was really an issue for me with regard to the GFE issue. Besides I was stuck on the 'Catz A Go Go' girl and headed there for another bar fine. Besides she 'like to lick lady pussey'. How can you go wrong with that? By the way, while I was playing Jenga, I bought Nuk a drink. There was another girl nearby who occasionally would translate something for us. I was going to buy here a drink also, but her attitude was so bad there was no way. Was she bitter because I went immediately to the cutest, youngest girl in their stall? Probably, I would be too.
I think there's some real gems to be had in Thailand if you can speak the language. I'll be fluent when I go back in December. I did the same think with Portuguese when I went to Rio. What a difference it made! Opened up new worlds for me!
Don't get me wrong, I thought Bangkok was a very cool city. I thought it was going to be like Manilla or something. But it's much nicer than that! But it is much hotter (temperature) in Bangkok than Pattaya. Even at night, there's no relief, no breeze! Ten minutes walking outside at eight PM and my shirt is drenched.
Next time I'm going to skip Bangkok and go straight to Pattaya. Maybe there are better places to find women than Soi Cowboy or Nana? BTW, which is better, Soi Cowboy or NEP?

I skip bangkok every time now. Go strait to Pattaya. 60 minutes to Bankok or 90 to Pattaya. Same-Same. In Pattaya You will find it much easier to find a girl to rock your boat. It is every where. I have made a quick visit to Pattaya to check things out and just as others have reported there is virtually no activity at all on the Beach at night. Only during the day. The authorities have made it quite difficult to get laid at night, whish is unfortunate as this is my preferred time.

No idea what a "proper sex show" is but suggest you try Angel Witch off Walking Street; they have some of the classiest shows in Pattaya. The women aren't bad looking too.

Right after Soi 5, Pattaya Carlton Hotel, is a a complex on the left with a bunch of bars... all the way up to Big C and past... if you have time take a ride pass the Dolphin Circle to North Pattaya, Naklau there is another world of bars there. Getting back is no problem...

gentlemen, tonight at one am i witnessed a horrible sight - a lot of those scumbag farangs who volunteer as 'tourist police', plus some regular thai thugs, plus tv cameras and reporters, including one thai female and one farang female of the reporter/lesbian/feminist/missionary type, all parading down the beach at a near running speed, trying to catch the poor prostitutes. it was an unusual night - the normal 9:00-on crackdowns hadn't happened, so people were losening up, enjoying a few extra hours respite from persecution, and then suddenly came this disturbing intrusion of the forces of social control.
happily the girls have learned to be quick over the last few weeks of avoiding the brutes in brown and their massive fines or jail time, so the ole fatty mama brigade didn't seem to corner a single one as far as i saw.
oddly enough, most nights there are almost no girls at all out on either side of the beach road, and sweeps continue every 30 minutes all night. but tonight it was just this one huge cavalcade of puritanism. the girls actually crept back out within 30 minutes of its visitation, and there continued to be some girls available all night.

Fully agree and can also add that these ''tourists'' can be found most days lounging behind large sunglasses at beaches on Koh Larn, particularly at Samai Beach.
Often seen in skimpy bikinis and topless too, so one can get a look at the goods before trying the 'charm' etc.
Gotta be worth the 20 baht ferry ride.

Sorry to ask again, but I have trouble choosing my hotel in Pattaya.
Jackmeoff has recommended some hotels to me but I haven't been able to decide myself so far.
I have checked the recommended hotels with trip advisory but couldn't find any place that would fit all my desires :
1) Close enough from the action to go there by feet, but quiet enough to be able to sleep (close form the walking district soi 9 and 10).
2) A reasonable room, with hot water, silent aircon, not too noisy & a reasonable breakfast (even though it seems very easy to have a better one outside). I'm ready to pay 1200 Baths per night.
3) A very girl friendly hotel (I've read that some hotels are not, or will "only" allow you 1 girl at a time without charge).
Do you have any recommendation that would reasonably fit my expectations ?
I've seen the Sunshine Pattaya ( http://www.sunshinepattaya.com/location.html ) that looks ok, but they have some terrible reports on trip advisory ( http://www.tripadvisor.fr/ShowUserReviews-g293919-d447136-r16785728-Sunshine_Hotel_Residences-Pattaya.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT ).

Why would they crack down during the low season in this economic crisis?Well, rationality leads me to guess that:
Less tourist --> less mongers --> less business for the Bars, Go-go's etc... --> less profit for the owners --> less payments made to the boyz in brown.
So, by cracking down the beach road at night, more girls will have not much choice but to join some type of establishment, resulting in more profits for owners and thus more bling-bling for the cops.
Also, the fact that no or less crackdowns occur during the day does support that theory, since then the bars and gogos are not yet fully operational, so no big effect on nightly income.
And the girls probably need some side money etc... and they probably don't want some kind of farang revolution since some of them shop exclusively at the beach.

Koh Larn Island, Samai Beach. 40 minute boat ride from Pattaya. I don't have any more pictures. I was there with my ex girlfriend and had to take those pictures on the cool when she went to the toilet. I suggest bringing your own girl to the island though.

I have checked the recommended hotels with trip advisory but couldn't find any place that would fit all my desires :
1) Close enough from the action to go there by feet, but quiet enough to be able to sleep (close form the walking district soi 9 and 10).
2) A reasonable room, with hot water, silent aircon, not too noisy & a reasonable breakfast (even though it seems very easy to have a better one outside). I'm ready to pay 1200 Baths per night.
3) A very girl friendly hotel (I've read that some hotels are not, or will "only" allow you 1 girl at a time without charge).
Do you have any recommendation that would reasonably fit my expectations ?

Local wholesale (opposite the pier for Koh Larn at the end of walking st 50 meters, In front/next to the seven eleven store). Ask them to cook it for you. 250B per kilo live crab 150B per kilo live jumbo shrimp.
I normally take a girl to Kon Larn and we stop by the seafood vendors and get some seafood to bring out there with us because they will charge you up the aatat for seafood there. You are allow to eat/drink any food you like on the rented chairs. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ORDER FROM THEM.

Thanks in advance.Baron Beach Hotel is pretty central, and quiet if you ask for a room in Block A on Soi 8 (or a balcony room overlooking the pool). Paid 1000Bht / night. Now having my breakfast in BeerGarden, only a short ride away (yeah, that's me in the blue T-shirt with laptop). Can't comment on multiple girls.

BTW, I just had a great epiphany.*****s are people too! I actually listened to one last night, I'm always pleasent to them, usually what they say goes in one ear and out the other. This gogo chick told me this sad story about her life and how she evolved from finishing college, dating a American guy, then breaking up and now she's selling her ass. She says she and her father had bigger plans for her than this. Nevertheless, having come to LOS many many times, I pretended to empathize and sent her ass back to her bar a couple hours ago. LOL! Well I'm about to go bird hunting in a few!

I honestly believe that the primary reason for the crackdown is simply that lots of VIPs, from the mayor to the aforementioned local-booster crowd, drive down the Beach Road and find their sensibilities inflammed by seeing the girls there. Thanks in advance.I stayed there and didn't like it at all. The AC was crappy and the bed was bad. I must admit it was a few years ago, and I stayed in the old wing.
I heard from others that the rooms in the new wing is OK. Sunshine is on Soi 8, ideally situated in the "Bar Beer" area.
I think Sunbeam in the same soi, or Flipper Lodge in Soi 7 (just a stone's throw away from Sunshine) are better value.
Walking Street is just a B10 songthaew ride away, but if you prefer to stay nearer to Walking Street you could consider Diamond Beach Hotel.

It is certainly true that one reason girls prefer to work the beach is they make far more money. They always describe working in the bar as being trapped in a place they cannot leave, with lots of other backstabbing, envious girls and hardly any customers.
The fact is that as long as there is a non-bar option, a huge percentage of mongers will choose it, since bars are a ripoff and unpleasant anyway.
Very quiet in Pattaya today. Most of the bars seem to be closed, and the ones that are open have only a few girls working.
Spoke briefly to one guy who turned out to own a gogo bar on Soi Buakhao, and he wasn't sure if he would be open tomorrow. He said he knew lots of bars in Walking Street would be open, and he hoped his 40,000 Bht per month to the police would help...

They're all over the place, but in Thailand you're better off bringing $100 bills, and cashing them at the exchange kiosks to avoid the ATM intl fees that most banks charge. Also the local banks just started tacking on a 150 Baht charge for each transaction. The money exchange places are actually more plentiful than ATM's.

It might be worth taking Travelers Checks rather than cash. Apart from the safety aspect, in case of loss or theft, you seem to get a better exchange rate. This is, of course, offset by the TC and bank commission/stamp fee. After a couple of bad experiences, I have learned my lesson not to rely too heavily on the plastic.
ATM - If you want the best rates you should consider getting a Capital One Direct Banking account with their ATM card. It's accepted at any ATM that has the "Plus" logo which so far has been ones that accept international MC/Visa cards for me in Japan. Also any money sitting in there gains interest.

You always get a better exchanging rate for Traveller Checks. That is true.
But in Germany for excample you have to pay charges, if you order Traveller Checks from your Bank. And this charges are higher than the difference between the money you get for changing cash and Traveller Checks. Nevertheless the safety aspect is worth considering to take Traveller Checks with you.

I have a motorbike so cruised around the town in the late afternoon and evening, and most of the beer bar complexes were dark, with the majority of bars closed, but a few open. Walking street was less crowded than previously, but a lot more freelancers in evidence, including some very good lookers. I was very tempted by one as I watched her negotiate with a string of Middle Eastern gentlemen, who all wandered off muttering 'very expensive', as she mouthed insults at them behind their back. I suspect not expensive. However I had made other arrangements and as I wandered back to my bike saw that New Star was open, and doing good business. Shame that AngelWitch was closed as I may not get another chance to visit this trip.

4) See hotels in the Pattaya Hotels thread that Jay Hodge just suggested and read real monger reviews, and for reviews on amenities etc see hotels/reviews at agoda.com (http://www.agoda.com/asia/thailand.html) and tripadvisor.com (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g293915-Thailand-Vacations.html), but book hotels wherever you want or feel comfortable.
5) Look the address up in Google Maps, compare to #3 maps. Tip - In Google Maps you can save it under "My Maps" to edit and look at later. This helped me figure out where the hell things are when I compare it to #3 in this list. I made marks for places I might stay or go. Works great for me.

The Sailor Bar right across the street has great breakfasts in their restaurant. You could do all of your partying right on those two sois with some real gems to be found.

Thats a good idea mate but I'm not an American or in America so not an option. I will probably just bring my visa card plus plenty of Thai Baht plus some of my own currency to change if needs be. Im only gonna be there for 10 days or so.

(eg many ATMs in Pat charge 150B per transaction which is 3 percent of 5000). Travellers cheque might only be 1 percent commission plus 2 percent exchange spread.
Lesson = take a range of cash, card and TCheques and change where the rates are best.

I have found that using my debit card for my money market account for my brokerage account is the cheapest. You get the best exchange rate and they do not charge me anything. Only charge is at the ATM machine. Found with my debit card not only were they hitting me up for a foreign transaction fee but then charged me $5.00 for every transaction. It was working out to be $10.83 for every 10,000B plus the ATM fee. I also opened up an account in Thailand at one of the larger banks. Now I just transfere the amount I think I will spend for my trip via a SWIFT transfere to my Thai bank. You can check on line with them once you opened with internet access to your account. Saves carrying a lot of cash that for some reason they might find a blemish or minor tear and they do not accept.

Recently in the States, I spoke to my cousin who is a top executive for Bank of America Headquarters in North Carolina. Regarding Traveler Checks the reason why they are being less attractive when you travel and institutions are being more vary of them is that they are being copied! With High Tech ability these days they are getting better and better counterfeited. So Banks are getting burned, they are in the process of trying to creat a full-proof Traveler Check to make it harder. Remember the Cashier or Money order now you take one to the bank.. there is a waiting period for them to clear and even if you get your money right there.. you must have enough money in your accounts to before they cash it for you.
Regarding ATM, cards or Debit.... if it hasn't happen already they are going to limit you to how much a ATM, is going to dispense to a Foreign ATM, credit card or Debit card like 10,000 Baht. Why, The Thai banks want you to come back again and again so they can charge you the 150 baht again. So if you got to use one make sure you take out the Max Whe!ther it is 500 baht or 10,000 baht it's 150 baht each time.
Regarding rates from ATM, before this the Thai Banks starting charging the 150 baht. For Example, like the Bank of Ayuthya ( yellow machine ) they were giving a good rate, if the exchange rate was 34.00 take were giving a rate like .50 or 33.50 from the ATM. now the rate is much lower. If the rate is 34.00 they will dispense something like 32.60 and when you continue you get a addition charge of 150 baht on top of that... They have changed their marketing to sock it to us and many don't even know it. Even in the U.S. if you use another Institutions ATM card, it use to range around 1.50 USD, when I was home some were charging 3.00 USD, like the fucking banks that got bailed out! How else are they going to pay the government back.
For those that live here, right now, wiring money when the rate is high to a local Thai bank is the answer. For a Tourist, maybe a combination of ATM, cash and T.T.

So, back to basic.

The Princess has her house at the hill between Pattaya and Jomtien. Maybe another reason why the Beach Road shall be cleaned by street walker.
Number two surprise: Last November I had sometimes a freelancer from Spice Club in Bangkok for a ST. This freelancer Joy is her name, was amazing hot. I could her do anally, she had a very sexy butt and a quite fair skin and untypical for Thai girls european face features. She had a normal office job and went only to Spice Club to enhance her income.

But, I don't blame the Thais too much, since I guess there is alot anger on there site, since they have to serve all the foreigner whose come to Thailand to shag their women. If you imagine that, than you can understand why they act like that.
The blond guy were rescued, not by the police whose usually stroll along the walking street and stand just a few meter away. No, the guy were rescued by some bargirls and some bodybuilder farangs.
So, always something new and unexpected in Pattaya.
Use a bank like E*trade, as I do. They charge .0.84% and reimburse all ATM charges. They have! Unless it is abused. They say 6 transactions a month limit. That is listed on there web page.
Also,
UOB bank and Goverment Savings bank are said to have no 150 baht charge!

I don't use ATM's in Thailand. Fees the Bank use are ridiculous. In Brazil I use ATM but in Thailand I make everything with Bank Notes. I just carry 10.000 Euro for 2 months and that is more than enough.;-)

Brave, I guess. Or, just not very afraid about robbery. Since I will stay 2 months (60 days) and I count at least 100 Euro per day + some reserve 10.000 isn't that much.
I bought already two sun classes with optical lenses (16.000 Baht) and a visit at the dentist (thooth crown) 12500 Baht. I rather have a bit more than too less.

So if you get robbed or loose your money before you even get to your hotel you won't be having a great holiday. You can't claim that big amount on your travel insurance.
You would be better to take alot of it in travellers cheques at least you will have more protection should something happen.

You are quite right. In case of a robbary I would lose alot, but on the other hand side I still have credit cards, so I still would be able to go to ATM's.
But, since I travel alot and never lost something, nor get robbed (except in Brazil), I got a little careless. And yes 10.000 is that much money, since I lost even more with stocks.;-)
It's almost a month now since I came back from my last trip to Thailand. So it's time to submit a trip report
I was back for a two week holday in LOS again. This time I actually had a small problem at immigration. I travel frequently in my job and manage to fill up a passport in a year or two and since I might travel while my passport is away for a visa application I have a duplicate. In. This became a bit to much for the lady at immigration since they now had 4 different passports on my over the last 3 years. Luckily I was able to explain to another immigration officer why and how it works.
I showed up at Bell Travel downstairs at 15:20 and they had seats available on 16:00 bus. Worth saving about 1000B to wait 40 min, which I killed by having something to eat and get a new sim card. Seems like all the ATMs at the airport now is charging the extra 150B for a withdrawal. But since I had enough B from my last trip I decided to save the 150B and find a good ATM in Pattaya instead, cheap as I may be sometimes. Actually it’s a matter of principles. There are enough extra charges and taxes: service charge, fuel surcharge, departure tax, administrative tax and bad exchange rates. Bank of Ayudhya (yellow ATM) did not charge me when in Pattaya.
Checked in at Metro Apartments and 15 minutes later I reported at devil’s Den. Picked Ning and Jar, and had an awesome 90 min session. I was so full of hormones I came 4 times. I can’t remember having done that before. Both girls are highly recommendable. Suffering of sleep deprivation from an overnight flight I went to bed early.
Got up early the next morning and did two dives of the coast of Pattaya. Lousy dives with crap visibility, not worth the time and money. In the evening I went out with a friend who lives in Pattaya and I brought him to Babydolls. He has lived there for 8 months but still hasn’t been to the place. He was very impressed by the shows and saw a few dancers he really fancied. So he decided to come back for himself the next week when the girlfriend was going home. I got very engaged with one of the showgirls and passed my previous record for naughtiness in a go-go. So I just had to BF her. Had a very good session with her. She claimed not to have done anal before. Yeah, right I thought. But when we tried it was no way I could get it in even with excessive use of KY. She wanted later during the night to see her sister. Since I had my 3 pops I was ok with that. But will not repeat because of it. Something to do with attitude.
The next day I took the bus to Sriracha where I met I girl which I chatted with on Internet. It didn’t materialize into any action, but had a good day with an excellent dinner. But some fucking wankers was having a bloody wedding party in the street in Soi Metro and played some horrible live Thai music as loud as possible. My room wasn’t even facing the street, but couldn’t sleep before 0230. So much for this soi being a quiet area.
The day after I was driving along Beach Rd and I spotted a girl named Na, a “famous” dark Beach Rd girl who has been mentioned on various forums. I did her last year, so decided to repeat. She could also offer 3-some with the friend she was hanging out with.
In the evening I ended up in beer bar on Beach Rd where I played bar games with a cute 24 year old with no children old. I liked her and wanted to BF her. But she told me she had her period. I’ll be damn what an idiot I am. And now it was almost 0200. So I sped of to Soi 7 and let me be dragged into a bar by I decent looking girl. Had a beer and BF her for the night. Pretty fresh from the province and spoke almost no English. One of those shy ones who insisted on showering alone. However it was a turn on to have a girl who was moaning in Thai only. No fuck me baby here. Well after the first round she wanted to sleep. It was late anyway.
The next day I booked myself a trip to Ko Chang. I parked the bike on beach Rd when I went for a coffee at Starbucks and I found it gone when I returned. Someone had seen the police pick it up. So I went to the police station at soi 9 and was lucky to find two elderly farangs who worked there as volunteers. One of them even of same nationality as me. I had to pay a fine of 400B and pick up the bike at place close to BigC in South Pattaya. So I got away quite easy. That was it from Pattaya for this time. Hope it will not be long before I’m back.

The only fee I incur is that small transaction fee per check cashed at the money exchange or bank.
Look at how you might avoid paying the least amount of fees in your case ... everyone's financial position differs.

I also bring American Express TC to Thailand in US 500, it is easy and cheap to cash it in Bangkok bank or money changer, charge per check is only 25 bht plus a small commision, most other country like China charge a fee of 5 USD for each check and they don't even want to cash them.

Are you going diving in Ko Chang? I'd like to hear how it is. I'm spending a week in Ko Samui before coming to Pattaya on my next trip just so I can get some good diving in.From my experience, which isn't all that vast, diving this time of the year isn't that great, it being the rainy season and all. But then any dive in Thailand is better then diving where I live, so I go anyway.
I havn't dove Koh Chang but its probably a lot like Koh Tao which is very nice indeed. They are both in the gulf of Thailand.
If you go to koh tao its byog bring your own girl, because you won't find many there who are up for grabs.

It was the best compromise of price and facilities- free internet, 32" flat panel TVs, etc. It's a short distance from Walking street, nice pool and quiet location, and they don't charge a joiner fee. Try to get one of the remodeled rooms (not sure if they have done all of them yet).
Devil's Den is 2 girls for B3600 for incall, and they are open from 1 pm to midnight.
Last week there was no joiner fee at the Areca if only 1 girl per night stayed.
It could be a different girl every night.
The 300 Baht was levied if 2 girls together came to the room on 1 night.

The visibility there wasn't good at this time of the year.
If you are focusing on diving I would recommend Ko Tao instead of Ko Samui. For P4P however it's an other story.

The last 2 weeks in Pattaya have been great.
Generally very quiet with the exception of Arab town. That is always busy at this time of year with the Indian and Arab mongers spreading out to all other parts of the town.
Beach road is back to normal. The police crack-down seems to be over and whatever time I walked it from 8am to 2pm and various times in between there was a full complement of girls about.
A little bit of desperation is setting in with the girls in the bars. Many are offering to meet after their shift so saving on the bar fine. Many are offering to pay their own bar fine. And twice I was offered 2 girls for 1500 Baht, the pair. It is definately a buyers market.
As for the quality of the girls. That is always subjective. Everybody has different tastes. But I had no problems finding girls to my taste. I just had to put a little effort in to finding them.
On my recent trip to Thailand I spent about 2 weeks in Pattaya. This is my third trip to Thailand. I spent 2 days in Bangkok, 2 weeks in Pattaya and 1 week in Phuket. The other reports are posted in the Bangkok and Phuket forums.
I stayed in ma maison the first days, but found it too expensive (B980) for the quality of the rooms. Later stayed one night in Apex (B600) but it was too noisy. Finally changed to Queen hotel (B700). Rooms were spacy but old and had small ants on the bathroom. But quiet and not so expensive.
On my first night in Pattaya I found a bar called Tiger Bar on second road between soi 7 and 8. I found a girl that captured my interest. Her name was "meow". I decided to barfine her for B300. Sex was not too good, very mechanical. I think there was a CBJ and me sucking her toes while fucking her. I didn't come inside her, she had to jerk me off and I came all over her. She was terrified and ran to the bathroom immediately.communication was a problem as she spoke almost no english at all. I saw her one more time later on the trip, but then decided to not see her again.

And none of the girls were more than a 7 IMHO. I found a cute 19-year old girl in a karaoke bar next to the other bars I mentioned in second road. She was very cute and liked to talk dirty. Name was "Leung" or something.
I also found a girl somewhere in soi 8, don't remember the name. She went to my hotel and we fucked. The next day she went to the bathroom at around 8'o clock and came out fully dressed, wanting to leave. I had to practically force her to come back to bed and she was half-heartedly refusing when we had sex, "no, no! " I actually enjoyed that she was putting up a little fight. (she didn't really physically refuse of course). I paid B1500 as agreed and we parted.
It is also worth mentioning a bar I visited in soi 6. The first one on the left when walking from second road. Many girls outside. I picked one and went inside. She was wearing a school uniform and pigtails. She started rubbing my dick and after a while my dick was out and she was jerking me off right there. well, this question is not easy to answer, since things in thailand and especially in the gogo bars change constantly.
i spent 10 days in bkk before i went for 1 months to pattaya and now i will be the last 18 days stay in bkk before this 2 months holiday is over.
pattaya is not a ghost town. walking street is full like in november last year, specially at weekends it got crowded.
just the people are different. in november there were more middle aged westerner. now the majority of mongers are from the middle eastern countries (indian, arabs, iranians, etc) and younger westerner (even teenager party crowd i saw there). also, there were as often, a rest and recreation invasion of the american armed forces. so, the clubs were full of western teens. the thai girls though were less attractive than in november imho. guess the stunners leave pattaya at low season for their family visits or work abroad. the majority of the better looking thai girls luring in walking street are no girls but ladyboys.
i got the impression that there are less stunner in pattaya like last november, but this was because the bars which were good last time lost many stunners, imho. but, i found out that many of those girls just work now in other bars. for example at the moment i like club blu (soi bua kaow), diamond agogo (soi diamond), what's up (near angelwitch).
good freelancer spots are the bar called "walking street" on walking street. starts early (about midnight or even before) and the staff is not pushy like in insomnia. insomnia is at the moment the late night freelancer spot, but the staff is very anoying. sometimes i got impression that there are more waiter who constantly running and pushing people around than customer.
for the middle eastern crowd the in spot is the club mixx.
but, back to the question is bkk better or pattaya in regard to girls? well, every night the things look different. yesterday i came back to bangkok and meet a freelancer who i knew from a former trip. she went with me to soi cowboy and nana. i showed her tilac, shark and angelwitch. tilac and shark were less good like in begin of june. seems that many stunner are on holiday now, or change the clubs. so, tilac and shark disappointed.
my general impression was that the girls in bangkok are taller, more leggy and curvy than the girls in pattaya. so, for the ****.., aeh guys who like underdevolped girls, pattaya has more to offer. while the ones whose like curvy girls bangkok has the better opportunities, imho. so, for me bangkok is the better place, also because there is much more to do, beside nightlife.

I told her that if I was going to pay 2500 B, I would go to Darlings, and left.I have been explaining that Thailand and Bangkok is not busy now, not us as in Annie’s.
I would like to also post that since the addition of the sideline it has made us the most busy we have been in the last 10 years and we are most happy with the results. Also bearing in mind that the sideline was requested by customers so now as a customer complaining about it and saying you would go else where because of a customer request makes it very hard for an owner. I will follow our numbers for now though.
Also what you have explained about my Business is quite incorrect.
We are not charging more for better looking girls. What we did was take into our staff ladies from higher end places and charged less for there time than the places they came from charged. Ladies like Letter B, one of the Superstars from JC infinity. Letter X a X star from Darlings. If you are posting that you think the ladies in our sideline are better looking then in your opinion this is true and can not argue with this thank you. Better looking professional staff work for a higher cost (fact)
If the 2500bt price is not for you then please take our 1700bt instead.
Our original ladies are the same price and we have not started to charge more (fact).

Don't get me wrong, the girls in Pattaya might your taste, if you are into spinner with dark skin. If you are into curvy, fair skinned, leggy girls than you can still find them in Pattaya, but they are rare, therefore not easy to have and expensive. If you like that kind of girls than Bangkok is better, imho.

Whats are the best bars or places early afternoon in bangkok and pattaya to find good looking younger working girls (when I say young I mean (20-25)
For those of you that have travelled from BKK airport to Pattaya how much do you expect to pay for the trip? I'm talking about by car, not really into saving money by taking the bus. On the other hand, I don't see the point of getting ripped off needlessly, how much should I expect a taxi from the airport to set me back?
Last week there was no joiner fee at the Areca if only 1 girl per night stayed.
It could be a different girl every night.
The 300 Baht was levied if 2 girls together came to the room on 1 night.This is correct as of yesterday. But if you enter the rear wing (Corona) with 2 girls - or indeed a girl without an ID card, and do so via the car park rather than through the lobby, then no registration or joiner fee is paid.

When you come out of Immigration, turn left and go out the door, prior to that there will be many trying to wave you down for your business. Once you are out of the door you will see a Taxi booth, the cost is 1500 baht to Pattaya in a Taxi, which most likely will be a Toyota Vios, make sure you indicated to the clerk, toll included, you will see it mark on the bottom of slip!
I came back to Thailand this July and this the method I took to get to Pattaya. Although future responses might give you something cheaper I was told that the price was different from the Airport to Pattaya and that might be true since a trip from Pattaya to the Airport is much cheaper. I use a booth very dependable on the corner of Soi Diana and Soi Buakhoa for 900 baht including toll.
If you travel lite, taking the bus, depending when you arrive is a good option. Bell Travel, 200 baht and that includes toll in my opinion it is a steal even at 200 baht, last year it was 150 baht.

Walk along beach road towards Soi 6. If you don't find anything along beach road that you like, then turn up Soi 7 or Soi 6 and stroll around the beer bars there until you find a girl that you like. IMHO that is where the best day time action is, others might have different views.

I have had this information for sometime before I forget about it I better post it now.
For those of you in or going to be in Pattaya, in regards to the topic of ATM'S charges of 150 baht for foreign debit and credit cards holders. It has already been mentioned that the following Banks are not charging the fee. Here are some locations of those Banks if you happen to be within the area and what to save 150 baht per withdraw and put it towards a beer to two.
Aeon ATM, One located on the main level of Carrefour but it has been OFF-LINE FOR 2 WEEKS NOW. There is also a Aeon Branch and a bunch of machines at Tesco, just off Pattaya Nua Rd.
Government Bank ATM: ( to some Thai's this is consider the Kings Bank ) Red but close to pink color machine. One located upstairs in Carrefour, just outside the super market.
UOB ATM, always located next to their Money Exchange Booth:
One located on 2rd, on left hand side right after Soi 13/3, One located on Beach Rd, left hand side right after Mike department store just before Soi 12.
One located on Soi 13/2 near Beach Rd. across from Pizza Hut.

There are a few taxi services that will meet you at the airport and deliver you to Pattaya for 1100 Baht. Just Google "Pattaya Taxi" and you will get a good list. My favorite is VR Private Taxi Service. I've used them 4 times, and they're VERY dependable. The driver will wait for you at the airport with your name on a placard, and he'll drop you off at your Pattaya hotel about an hour and a half later. No drama.

Hi Lukasek, actually there are no Russian Hookers in Pattaya as far I could recon. The once strolling along Walking Street and Beach Road at night are Uzbeks, Kazaks and the like.
There might be some Russian Hookers at MixX, but I am not sure about that, since that girls can be Tourists, also. The Russians in Insomnia are Tourists.
The Uzbek and Kazahs aren't pretty at least not for Westerner. Their main clients are Middle Eastern Guys. Guess it gives them a kick to have sex with a almost white women, or they just like a bit more flesh on the bones. Anyway I think thei can't be too expensive, since many of the middle eastern Tourists are tight on budget.
I spoke once with a Madagascar and a Brazilian Hooker in Pattaya and they asked for 2000 Baht LT. I didn't took them to the Hotel, but the Madagascar one seems to a nice one.

There are only about 3 or four at the moment. Asked the price from a 30 something black haired size 8 with a heroin chic look and got her down to 800 ST. However there is only one really good looking I've seen who looks about 18 but I would say its going to be upwards of 2K for ST.

Whether you pay 1700bt or 2500bt you ARE paying for a service - usually a FUCK!. So why pay a tip? If the service expected is below par, then expect a rebate. Why pay full price for crap!

Well, I wouldn't expect too much from Tashkent. I were a few months for work in Baku, Asserbaidschan and the scene is really disappointing. Expensive and ugly girls there, since the Russian left the country. Though the Uzbek girls might be better looking than the Azeri.
BKK Soi 4. Well, the street scene isn't much better than in Pattaya, though there is the Rajah (spelling?) Hotel and another one opposite Grace Hotel Soi 3. Those Hotels have a collection of FSU girls. It works similar like in the middle east. You choose the girl, pay and go with her in the room for a ST. If I am not wrong the price was between 2000 - 3000 Baht. At least that is what I read here in the forum, if I remember right.
You can also go to CM2 (Novotel), Spassos (Hyatt), Spicy (Disco every Taxi driver know about) and Boss (Disco every Taxi driver know about) for Freelancer. Once I girl from the FSU (Uzbek if I am not wrong, but could be also Kaszach or what ever) started a conversation with me. She wasn't too pretty, but better as the FSU street Hookers in Pattaya. She wanted 2000 for ST if I remember right. Here's the continuation of my report from my April 2009 Thailand trip. First five parts are in the BKK thread.
Dynasty Inn has an offer where there is a free shuttle bus that takes you from Bangkok to Pattaya as long as you stay at least two nights at the Dynasty Inn Pattaya hotel, so I took them up on this offer and hopped the shuttle to Pattaya. It leaves at about 12 noon or so if I recall correctly. last night the honorable brown shirts (nice, how they now use the swine flu masks to obscure their faces) stopped every foreigner on a motocy and charged them with everything they could come up with. my lady on the back seat had her hair done just previously and didn't want to wear a helmet although i asked her to. i had mine on. sure enough we got stopped, charged, motocy confirep001ed, put into the police pound on soi kophai overnight, no transportation from the scene of the crime to the police station on beach rd., from hotel to the other end of the town where the pound is located, night and morning, the whole deal.
it happened on this corner of phratamnak rd. and soi 18 (yensabai). other guys i talked to, some arabs too, were charged with speeding (sic! on this corner at 11pm the traffic is stop-and-go!), reckless driving, not signaling, not wearing helmets etc. while all the thai folks zoomed by, no helmets, front and back.
the real hassle is then to go to the main police station at night, wait for at least an hour, pay the fine (make sure you have enough cash on you!) and try to get the motorcy out of the police pound the next day. really great.
if this should happen to you make sure that you have:
- the rental contract,
- your international driver license and
- at least a copy of your passport with you.
and last but certainly not least:
make sure that you are sober or at least appear sober; otherwise you will have the questionable pleasure to see a thai prison from inside.
when you pick up the bike from the pound the folks over there try to squeeze an "overnight parking fee" (hilarious!) out of you. you need to be firm, don't pay. it's illegal. but hey, tit!

I think the way the cops do this cheating is it automatically charge every foreigner with not having a license, regardless of whether you have one or not (they prefer to assume rather than waste time asking for one). Yes, you might be right. Anyway is at Central Festival Center on the beach road side of the building. The girls dance there after 19:00 every few minutes a Samba. There's a small jump in chronology here since Nok from Angelwitch was between Tik and Tik & Nok.
In the evening I headed to the a-go go that is probably my personal favourite in Pattaya, Angelwitch. Feel sorry for the guy being beaten up like that but my sympathy for what he lost is a little tempered by the lack of common sense he used for carrying around personal valuables to the value of 300,000 baht.

This whole story stinks from beginning to end with so many inconsistent stories by all parties.
One, first he reported that he took the girl to the his room as he reported to the police. Now the story is he didn't? People go down to Beach Rd.. for one reason at that time of the night since there is no view nor moon to speak of... if one is looking for a moon the closest they are going to find is a pair of ass and tits. So I finished - shigh - spending my six days (or nights actually) in Thailand since quite a while from previous time. Short report of observations/experiences:
After supporting comments from forum, decided to head to Pattaya after finishing my business in BKK on Monday, and come back to BKK in case offering on Pattaya would not be satisfactory. For many, many years I've done everything at every hour on the beach, and mostly very late at night, and I've never had even the slightest inkling of a problem. I doubt very much that any reasonable man who wasn't extremely drunk would ever have a problem there.

So I've just returned from my week long trip to Pattaya where I had an excellent time! It was my first time in Thailand and what follows is roughly in chronological order without being broken down into specific days.
So on a couple of recommendations from this board had booked myself into the Nova Platinum hotel, a short walk from the action. Not the cheapest by any means at 1500 THB a night but certainly very nice. Lovely rooms, very large TV, DVD player, swimming pool, and free unlimited use of the wireless internet throughout the hotel, and a free late 4pm checkout on departure date. So on the day of my arrival I got to the hotel about 10 am, which was a slight worry as my check-in time was not till 2 pm. However when I got to the hotel the staff were very accommodating and gave me a room straightaway, without asking for any extra money. Very good service.
Couple of downsides to the hotel, the food there is pricey and awful. Ordered room service twice and both times it was edible but very disappointing. Also some of the staff don't speak very much English, at one point I had to make an urgent phone call home, my phone in the room didn't work and the woman downstairs couldn't understand this. But I would definitely stay there again.
