I was in Pattaya for 2 days and a night. My first visit to Pattaya. After Baccara refused me entry, I went to Sugar baby and then Windmill in front of it. Both gogo bars are similar. Same owner I guess. I would say it was my best gogo bar experience during this 15 day trip.

Don't forget the other big group emerging on Soi 6 which are owned by the Chinese. You may want to avoid those as well as they are charging gogo bar rates.
I'm curious to see how this plays out on Soi 6. imo if Mr. Flowers and the Nightwish Group has raised the prices the others will likely soon follow suit. Thailand is the land of monkey see monkey do.

So they will pay up too.You are probably right about the reaction of overall market to this fairly outrageous price hike and I expect that I will probably still visit Soi 6 with the same frequency as before. That is to say infrequently and only when I have nothing better to do before the Go Go's open. The reason: I was never very much enthralled with the quality on Soi 6 and thus I rarely took a girl upstairs. But this being LOS, I don't expect the quality to get any better since the prices have been raised. Too bad. I expect the Soi 6 faithfull are up in arms over this development. Maybe, if you are a well known customer the price hike won't apply to you. I don't know. Think I will check and see what is being posted on that other forum which we can't mention the name of here.
But all that said, I did meet a simple, Isan girl last time I wandered down Soi 6 and after some fun prelims down stairs she took me upstairs and we had a very passionate bareback session.

I am sure there are many examples and different stories to each and every girl as to how they are to be found working in Beach Road. I don't see it as unlikely myself for a girl to travel from a rather nearby city like Bangkok, to work in Pattaya. After all it is just a two hour bus ride away and it's cheap to go here back and forth. To add something to the topic of ethnical groups, I was thinking if I myself discriminates towards any groups of girl, like some girls seems to do towards Indians for example, and for whatever reasons that may be. In my experience several times I picked the girl right after she refused an Indian or look alike Indian guy. That happened in Grace Hotel gate, BKK or in Beach Road Pattaya too. Since the Nightwish Group opened up their 15 bars or so bars price creep along this soi 6 have gotten stupid 1500 + 400 + 180 Ld, one can find much better looking girls in a German FKK and Cheaper these days, Why spend the money on the fare to BKK and endure 12 hour flight each way when one can spend the fare on a few girls in a German FKK.Soi 6 was so much better when it was all enclosed bars / brothels and was devoid of loud music and the "party" atmosphere. The transformation made a once pleasant experience into a one that I find less than desirable. And having one owner for so many bars is never a good thing. I bought the local paper, Pattaya Mail, the other day to read the article about the loss in business here in Pattaya right now. It is mentioned that business is down 70% for some beer bars and it seems much. One thing is sure and Pattaya is far from what it usually is this time of the year, in high season. The fewer tourists are very much noticeable at the moment.Yes probably on tourist sites like Big Buddha or on the beach attractions. But I am in Pattaya at the moment and I do not find it obvious the difference in attendance at WS. The Chinese have not yet entered bars or gogos. Maybe one day.

If you see a guy tossing a ton of 20's at girls it's usually a Chinese guy. I'm not talking about the guys who toss 20 or 50 20 baht bills. I'm talking the ones who toss 1000 20 baht bills, then move on to the next bar to do the same.
Another source claims many hotels are at just 10% capacity. Doubtful. Maybe those hotels and restaurants that specifically cater to the Chinese tour buses. For those of you concerned there is a lack of people in Thailand, it's just been announced that all guys from China and India are now Visa exempt.
Re. Reports that say Pattaya is dead. Here is a look at Billabong Bar in LK Metro at 12:30 am tonight. I've likely walked through LK Metro about 1000 times at night and this looks no different than most Tuesday nights.

The BR is undergoing widening and now parking is allowed in lane adjacent to coconut bar "road". In typical 3rd world country style instead of working a section, the whole road is messed up. It's very difficult to walk on sidewalk as it is all dusty, the pavement is ripped up or apart or very uneven and dangerous if one is not watching one's s step. Also the sidewalk has been reduced to half its size do one has to walk very close to ladies. Can't imagine how ridiculous will it be when tourists return. Now a days Pattaya has been hit very hard.

The first few days I stayed in the air-conditioned climate of my hotel, but after a few days I decided to hit the streets and have a chat with as many girls as possible on beach road to see if there were any rough diamonds to be discovered. I think you were on soi Thanya the next street over from Patpong 2.Let's see what Gin and Tonic's response is. Personally I never consider Thaniya Road as part of Patpong. It may only be a block but it's like you flew across the Pacific. Saying Thaniya Road is Patpong is like saying Soi 25 is LK Metro or Rasputin is on Soi 6.

Beach Road was already 3 lanes, are they widening it to 4? I believe the OP was (a) guessing and (b) wrong.
Beach Road is being dug up to install big drains to try to stop it becoming Pattaya Lagoon every time there's a heavy rainstorm. Whilst this is going on the road is down from 3 lanes to 2 in places, sometimes only 1 when the big machinery is in use during the day.
Back pre-Christmas it was the stretch from BR Soi 10 (so just after Central Festival) to about Soi 13 that was being worked on. It's not a bit of town I am often in, but I might have a wander up to the TQ tonight for old times sakes and to see where the roadworks have got to.
I am coming back and was wondering if anyone knows of any lactating or pregnant providers? Maybe Pattaya will have this sort of option.

Sometimes life sucks. I arrived in Pattaya for a relaxing holiday but three days later I found myself in the hospital with an acute appendicitis. Bad luck, but it's is treatable. Thailand has a good medical infrastructure and I had a good medical insurance, so no problems here. I survived and there were no permanent consequences.
However due to this incident I couldn't enjoy the available fruit as planned. I had to stay away from strenuous activities and avoid body contact. Keeping a fresh operation wound clean is a challenge in the tropics. In other words: a simple B2B massage or even too much sweating could put me to the risk of an infection.
So what could I do? The most important thing after any surgery is to stay active. So when they discharged me, I upgraded my hotel and spent the remaining time walking, talking and observing the streets so that I could still provide a humble contribution to this forum. No P4P for me this time unfortunately. But I forgot that I was in Thailand. Especially, I forgot I was in Pattaya.

I started out today trying to get my cell phone a local SIM card and some data. That turned out to be kind of difficult with no Thai knowledge. I got the card, but no internet. The guy pointed me up the street and indicated that I need to pay. I needed to charge the phone. I wandered up the street but didn't see a cell phone store and asked another vendor. After some sign language and pointing at my non-working phone they pointed me to a little stand that looked like they were providing financial services of some kind. First it was a no-go because I didn't remember which service provider my SIM card was for and then I didn't know my new phone number. So I was going back and forth down the street and working with the guy who sold me the SIM card to get the answers. After all that it still didn't work until a sequence of symbols and numbers was typed into the phone to activate an amount on the phone.
Now that I got. Working phone I used it to track down a ATM to withdraw money. I have a Capital One checking account that doesn't charge international fees etc.
So off I go looking for trouble and found it by using sugarbook (https://sugarbook.com/). Skinny Vinnie who quoted me 5000 baht and of course I didn't negotiate down to 3000 baht like I should have. And when we get to the room she asks for payment up front. Now I should have negotiated all this beforehand but didn't. So I get what is coming to me in spades. I tried the "if you do a great job you get a great tip, not good then no tip. " So she proceeds to ask for another 5000 baht. Wait, that's not the way this is supposed to go!
After lunch and a rest I walked over to a unknown massage shop. The ladies at reception were nice and asked me to sit down and wait for the introductions. Kind of to my surprise the lady behind the desk got up and introduced herself first. She was seriously pretty and she was flirting with me as the second lady came in to introduce herself. First it was a no-go because I didn't remember which service provider my SIM card was for and then I didn't know my new phone number. So I was going back and forth down the street and working with the guy who sold me the SIM card to get the answers. After all that it still didn't work until a sequence of symbols and numbers was typed into the phone to activate an amount on the phone.
Now that I got. Working phone I used it to track down a ATM to withdraw money. I have a Capital One checking account that doesn't charge international fees etc.
So off I go looking for trouble and found it by using sugarbook (https://sugarbook.com/). Skinny Vinnie who quoted me 5000 baht and of course I didn't negotiate down to 3000 baht like I should have. And when we get to the room she asks for payment up front. Now I should have negotiated all this beforehand but didn't. So I get what is coming to me in spades. I tried the "if you do a great job you get a great tip, not good then no tip. " So she proceeds to ask for another 5000 baht. Wait, that's not the way this is supposed to go!
After lunch and a rest I walked over to a unknown massage shop. The ladies at reception were nice and asked me to sit down and wait for the introductions. Kind of to my surprise the lady behind the desk got up and introduced herself first. She was seriously pretty and she was flirting with me as the second lady came in to introduce herself. Then I was asked to choose. Yeah only two. Well I picked the receptionist of course. And let me tell you I made the right choice. We started out dancing together. Try Thaifriendly for online. Try Beach Road for cheap (1000 baht) and try Soi 6 for on the spot fun (1500 baht).
If you're having the wors (t) luck in Thailand (Pattaya) you are doing something wrong.

"Reports on social media that a staff member at a bar located on Soi 6 in Pattaya had contracted the coronavirus are false, officials have said.
Rumors started circulating over the weekend that a beer bar staffer had been infected with the coronavirus and that she could potentially be a so called 'Super Spreader' having come into contact with hundreds of customers.

Why did you prepay for hotel? Asking bc I don't know, not criticism.First I went by the hotel to check prices. It was $41/day. I went home to cross check on hotels.com. There are different options. You get the best rate when you select the option that is non-refundable. I was pretty sure my dad was coming so I booked the room for $33/day. I went by Avenue just now, the ground street level is pretty much the same that seems to be where all the rent is coming from.
I started at the top, the fitness center next to the movie theater is closed, movie theater and bowling venue are still there. The Thai passport office is also still there along with still lots of space to rent out there were what I saw was a number of good enclosed circular spaces that would make nice size GoGo's improvement from those tight narrow rectangle spaces. Plenty of space for open Beer Bars but not sure how that would go with the rest of the other venues noted especially the Thai passport office?
The second floor, lots of spaces once again for GoGo or Beer Bars, Robin Nest Restaurant still on the other end which I hear is staying. Overall, I saw no signs indicating spaces for rent nor did I see any constructions or signs going up indicated " future home "!
The news and all the hype was the end of March for the Grand opening from what I saw I wouldn't hold my breath but you never know things happen fast at times?

Actually it is better to be safe. I have cancelled hotels and flights. Was planning Manila, Cebu, Pattaya, Bangkok. Couple of hotels dragging their feet to give refunds but airline and some hotels did refund in full.

After light dinner, we headed to our favorite Bacarra although a bunch of new popular Asian clubs I still like the place been a regular since the day they open due to circumstances I've not visited for some time my cousin promised his former regular since she decided to return to the village due to the lack of customer.
In the past, even on slow times, Bacarra was still wall to wall customers when we walked in there was like 6 customers although still early I could see the number of girls working was cut in half upstairs was now closed. After talking to the manager and head mamasan the salary has been reduced and the shows which pay extra to showgirls has been eliminated.

I don't see it getting any better it is tough enough getting a handle even for a country in the West like U.S. the government here has no clue they follow like Monkey's open their racist mouth. You got people screening you at Makro yet when you go into a major hospital like Bangkok Pattaya all they have done is put a fine piece of ass at the door putting a green sticker on your shirt! Monkeypaw is alive and kicking and STILL "on the ground" in Thailand. Just spent a week in BKK, and Billboard in Nana is Monkeypaw's new #1 go go bar in Bangkok with the sheer number and quality of girls, especially after the renovations, new lighting, and that huge LED screen added near the naked tub. Yesterday, was able to talk down a girl from 2500ST to what was left in my wallet, not wanting to hit the ATM. She left with 1160 baht foe 2 hours on play. Not quite Mr. E bargain, but a bargain nonetheless.

Spent the weekend in Pattaya (first time) and didn't make it out of Soi 6. All the bars I saw were less than half full, if indeed they had Ny customers at all. Enough eye candy for anyone, sitting round looking disinterested. BF 400 and st 1000, services very negotiable. Girls I spoke to said several no BF for 4 days+ and only a drink or 2 if lucky. Some talked about going home, others were talking about travel to Korea and accepting 14 days without pay. I had a fabulous time there, but I felt leaving today is perfect timing to be getting out as covid case numbers are starting to climb after a long pause.
Well just back home after 4 days in Pattaya. Firstly, it is obvious that the Asian and Indian numbers are way down along with the European numbers. Did not see a lot of USA guys either. Walking Street was very quiet compared to my past trips.

Girls were all desperate for cash as the punters were low in numbers. Only bar that we had a hassle in was the gogo bar near beach road. Girls were not interested in our money for boom boom and only wanted drinks. We moved on once that became apparent. We did have fun in the other Soi 6 bars though and the girls were very eager to please. Also found Scooters bar in Soi 8 to be worth a visit.
The bars we visited on Walking Street were Sapphire (my favourite) and Happy which also had some doable girls. Both lacked punter numbers but that was a good thing for us. Both sets of the gogo girls were very hungry to get barfined. Took a few out to iBar and noticed it was still fairly busy with a lot of girls.
We also visited Kink in LK Metro but found the quality a little low. The freelance bar on the corner in LK Metro had a lot of low quality girls as well but we did not bother to stay long.
Over the course of the 4 days we barfined about 4 girls from the gogos and visited Soi 6 each day for a few rounds there as well. So all up, a very worthwhile trip and just in time to beat the inevitable shutdown that will come with Covid19.

Personally I am in Paris I canceled my trip to Pattaya in emergency yesterday morning death in the soul because of the closing of the borders which was looming. FYI Walking Street in Angeles City has closed all bars and gogos since the day before yesterday.

I'm always hesitant to post this type of comment bc it's pretty useless to anyone. But I was walking down soi 6 and met a pretty 23 year old in one of the bars. We talked for a bit, I bought her a drink. After a bit she suggested we go upstairs. It cost 400 thb barfine and 1000 to her.

After leaving Big see extra on Pattaya Klang, prior I noticed all the major banks exchanged booths were all closed! T. T. Was open with current rates 32.20 many of the T. T. Both throughout Soi Buakhao /2nd Roady are as high as 32.27.
Started on Soi 6, many were closed those that weren't had half shutters girls were all in street clothes playing with their phones like they were waiting for some official noticed. I stopped by Foxy Bar part to see the manager they are part of the Nightwish Group the placed was packed with girls they were having a meeting one girl told me they are closing.
Cruise down Beach Road up Soi 8 and back down 7, many of the Big Beer bars were closed there was a number with just customer drinking lights off no music. The large drinking venues were all open. Down the rest of Beach road, I noticed a number of large massage places closed but nearly all the smaller ones were opened.
I had to make a stop at Tukcom, nothing unusual about the area seem normal again all massage places were opened. Left into Soi Baukhao, many of the beer bars were closed those opened seem to just be laying low only to see what is going to happen. I noticed none of the massage shops were closed legit or not turn left in LK Metro largest BB Billibong no customer with a few employees sitting and waiting? Went through Soi Pothole nothing seem out of the ordinary all massages were opened and still plenty on this Soi drinking!
On my way back to the Darkside, nothing closed everything opened.
If these police orders are anything like the Immigration requirement the left doesn't know what the right is doing everything is up to interpretation which means " monkey see monkey do " each day is a different day. As for this government, you live here long enough the government setup is no different than places like Iraq / Afganistan they will stand together for photo ops but thereafter they do their own thing the Mayor is nothing but a puppet he has no say over what the police really want to do in Banglamung nor the Mayor in Nongprue, Mayor of Jomtien or the police in both of these areas. As long as they continue to get theirs they couldn't care less about a Virus.

Another fucked up part is that many of the chicks live where they work. With those places closed they can not stay there. Earlier my mamasan asked if she can come stay with me for 14 days. The whole point for the closure is to prevent large crowds and what was written it goes against the mandated food or no food and the power owners aren't going to stand for it even for the Virus. I see each day and night more and more will not follow the ban as it was intended.

This is bad news for the bars and the girls. Its very good news. Bar girls are flooding the streets and dating sites at half the price. No bar fine no drinks no load stupid music.
I walked down soi 6 about 30 minutes ago or about 1 pm. There were some women sitting at about a dozen or so bars. Only 1 placed yelled out: Hello, welcome" but most bars a women would smile and let me know she was open for business if the bar wasn't.

I always use the TMB machines because you can take out 30,000 baht at a time. Recently it appears that TMB has been trying to run a scam. You put in the amount you want. Then it notifies you of the surcharge of 220 baht. You okay that and the screen goes black. What you can not see on that black screen is them asking if you will take the rip-off exchange rate that they offer. If you push something accepting not knowing then you are fucked.
The button at the bottom left of the screen declines that offer, then the screen goes back to normal. I have run into 3 of their machines like that lately. I have just been canceling and going to another, but now I can remember the button that I need to press to say don't try to pull that shit on me.
Are you guys getting responses from thaicupid or so?

I was walking down Soi 6 yesterday and I saw one girl (or ladyboy actually) looking for customers and she seemed lost in the abandoned Soi 6.
When I am going home with Songthaew from where they start going to Jomtien, it takes forever in waiting for one to fill up and to be ready to go. Today the driver didn't even wait until it was full and he left with only eight of us inside.

Based on the regulation many of the places closed could be open and many of the places opened could be closed this is particular with places that serve food and alcohol. For example on Soi Baukao, I notice my regular rib place Soi 21 (Surprise) it was open the night before, around the corner, tree town the open-air food court opened, Hungry Hippo and the few food / beverage next door all open with people, then you got places like Weatherspoons, Iris Rover, Cheap Charlies closed.
Now majority of the massage places on Soi Baukhao closed smaller ones have light dimmed, metal door pull down a bit with a girl out of uniform sitting smiling while you slow down and check. Go down Soi Pothole, the Soi is dark next to Cantebury Book store the large bar lights dimmed packed with customer drinking a number of massage shop lights down with a few girls outside clearly if you needed to clean your pipes cleaning was available.
Head back up to the Darkside while massage, bars, and clubs closed all the large Jim June Thai BBQ places were operating packed with people sitting close eating. All eating places franchise or not were operating although I did notice many were moving out particularly small massage shop who never should have opened in the best of time now can't or using 14-day closure to just pack up and leave.
Now if you want to come to Thailand need a Doctor certification and Insurance which this morning I found a number of companies who are offering insurance for a year to cover the virus many with 14 day waiting period, in general, coverage can be depending on policy 30,000-100,000 baht cash or coverage if you come down with it some coverage as high as 2 million if you go into a coma and some death payout. The prices are actually reasonable coverage rates from 500 baht to 1200 baht.
Maybe in my head? but I for some reason see more girls ( freelancers ) standing around in front of close shops on Soi Baukhao might head down to the Avenue to see if they are standing outside Big Mac etc. any reports whether Beer Garden is opened?

Beach Road looks the same as before and I didn't see more girls there than usual. I think most bar girls etc has gone home to their villages. Made a walk in Walking Street tonight, just to see what it was like. So empty and deserted with only a few restaurants open. There is a place selling ice cream (to the left in one of my photos below) and they had enough customers but that was the only place that looked kind of normal. I saw a group of police on motorbikes going through to check that the rules were obeyed. I also saw two white pick up cars driving and I didn't know what their mission was. I had a girl coming over to my room tonight, that normally works in a massage parlor, and I showed the photo to her and she said that is police ready to pick up and arrest hookers working illegally.

Was at a supermarket today loading up on my toilet paper. 2 security guards lined up too close for me. Store manager quickly ran up to them to tell them to stand behind the line taped on the floor. The 2 security guards told the manager they are mall security so these rules didn't apply to them. Manager booted them from the store for not practicing Social Distancing. Is Social distancing being enforced in Pattaya yet? How do they enforce it on baht buses?
Word will get back to them that there's no money in Pattaya right now.
Why I specifically said they will return to one of the sex markets and not Pattaya in particular.
I predict over half the bars in Pattaya where the bar owner does not own the land the bar is on will be closed if this pandemic runs over 6 months. So many were already hanging by a thread before the pandemic started. I doubt the land owners will reduce rent for their tenants until this blows over. That isn't the Thai way.

Who is the they that would enforce such a thing? Everything is pretty much usual here on that front except for most people wearing dust masks. No ethyl alcohol to be found at any stores or pharmacies. MF! I ran around looking for some yesterday and just now see I have an unopened bottle on my shelf.
I went to this chick's condo in Jomtien last night. Got in the elevator and they had markings on the floor of how everyone is supposed to stand. She was reading something about malls would close. I said not in Pattaya. She said but Pattaya would be next. So she wants me to take her around and buy some things today.
She also talked about almost going to Korat with a friend. While we were together the friend sent her a message that she better be glad she did not go. They are putting people who are arriving into other cities in 14-day quarantine and that is what happened to the friend.

It's human nature to think of ourselves and families first but I feel it need not stop there. I feel those of us who live in Thailand and have made it our home have a responsibility to help where we can. If I had a relative back home that was in need of money I would of course help them first but the safety net in the west now more now ever will in the majority of situations be sufficient to see them through this. Not so here. Depending on one's individual circumstances I would suggest we try to help girls we have gotten to know over the years and who are in serious need. A few hundred baht here and there goes a long way in a village in Essan. Just my two cents.

People are going on baht buses and sit in restaurants that are open, like you could see in my photo. It seems like Thailand is a couple of steps behind the countries where the virus is more spread, and last time I checked there is only one death related to Corona in Thailand and relatively few cases. However, I am sure the situation will change here when more people die and numbers of cases goes up. People will panic more and the government will make more restrictions affecting everyday life here.

Would heading for the beaches be foolish at this juncture?It is a judgement call as to where you want to ride out the Corona, but I think under the present circumstances Ko Chang or Ko Kood is a pretty good place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature until the pandemic passes. Food shortages: what food shortages? The ocean ain't going to run out of fish and there is plenty of rice and fruit available, so I wouldn't be concerned about that. I would not think shelter would be a problem either although many hotels have probably closed down, so I would recommend scouting out something suitable before you head that way.
The only issue I can see with a Ko Chang or Ko Kood getaway is the limited availability of girls. Even with all the Pattaya bars and clubs closed, finding girls in Pat is not a problem, but Koh Chang is another story and forgetabout girls on Ko Kood. Of course BYO is an interesting solution especially if you have a pretty good pre-existing relationship with a particular girl or girls. Otherwise, figure you will be celibate while on Ko Chang or Ko Kood unless you get lucky.

How good is their hygiene their regular sanitizing of rooms and common areas the quality of their facilities. As far as I know hotels are exempt from the same closures outside I. E. Restaurants and lounges are open so that's a plus. As to staying safe, ignore its just a flu bullshit, this is down to frequent hand washing avoid touching face and maintaining social distancing. Using what news is available Pattaya doesn't as yet have any clusters so it's most likely no worse than any other resort. This of course could change and it's true larger populations have obvious disadvantages.
Generally with the exception of sanitizing products, haven't seem a bottle of Dettol in over 2 weeks there is no shortage of food or drinks and none are expected so no worries there. You didn't mention P4P so I guess that is not top of your list of priorities, understandable you are more concerned with your health. If it were me I would stay in Pattaya as assess to testing and health care is superior.

Great time last night. Met a chick on Thai Friendly. 21 years old. We traded Lines and I went over and saw her background picture was her and a guy passed out nekkit in a bathroom. The person there told her if she did not have the 45,000 then they would process her and transfer her to wherever and she would have to spend 48 days in jail. She told them they might as well do it now then because she did not have that kind of money. Her mother ended up getting the money together to get her out (yet some of you believe chicks are not having enough money to eat).
I asked her why she would have an e-cigarette when she know it is illegal. She said everybody does it. That seemed to be the answer she had for everything she does that is fucked up.
