Seiously, who ever asks if a friend can come? I think one time in 14 years a chick has asked me about us going to get her friend because it was the friend's birthday and she did not want her to be alone.Doesn't surprise me for a man who spends lots of days in the same bar month after month. A girl asking for her friend to join together in his condo is just an extension of asking him to buy drinks for her friends.
Can you explain this comment a little more? Are there more concerns for personal safety than with Thais? Very little is written on this forum about African freelancers. I've never hired one, but my friend says they are a lot of fun.African are known for scams.

Those same chicks have been in Pattaya for years and I have never heard anything bad about them. In Dubai me and my wingman had a great time with some. We stayed at their place all night for like $30. This was like 15 years ago though.

It probably wouldn't be worth the risk for them to steal from you as the consequences for them would be worse than if a local did it.

Passed by it last night around 11:30 PM and decided to check it out, since I had never been there before. Maybe 8 girls, one or two fairly cute ones. Was told BJ was 500 and FS was 1000. They did not mention the 300 room fee, so I wondered why the rates were so cheap. Didn't stay, as I was tired. Will go again another day.Mind you! Maybe Money Doesn't Matter.Pinup increased the barfine due to a lack of girls. With a 1000 b barfine that place would be empty at 10 pm. Besides that a lot of girls prefer to work on 1 daytags. This makes it impossible (or at least harder) to fun a bar / gogo because you have no clue how many wil show up tomorrow.
Had it once in Tantra a few months back. PR ladies (in sneakers) on stage just because of a lack of girls.
It seems one gogobar changed the rules (with contracts) and now they all have to follow.

It's unhealthy as well. Throw it away. And make sure you clean up as you go or it gets messy.

I am currently on a cruise ship with a mamasan / recruiter. She spends the day on the phone recruiting ladies and trying to convince lazy ladies under contract to go to work.
Once a lady has been paid, she is reluctant to go back to work until she is dead broke. Of course, her Thai boyfriend will help her achieve that status as quickly as possible. So, the most common pattern is work 10 days, take one day off, work another 10 days, etc. But, ladies with sponsors can take more time off to spend with their boyfriend, or special customers.

Last time I visited Thailand was just before the pandemic. Back then I liked to visit Eden Club in Bangkok and Devil's Den in Pattaya. It's not a report, but asking if anyone has information about this more or less hidden club in Pattaya Central that it seems to have reopened not long ago. I was on the other side of the street and some girls were outside and seemed younger than the usual GC. So ever since arriving to Thailand my sleep pattern is all jacked up. I sleep like 13-15 hours a day within a 24 hour period. The windows to the front patio are one way, meaning outside can barely, if at all, see inside. I noticed they both also started to clean the outside windows as well. Visited Champagne that was a big disappointment, a shadow of its former self. It was almost empty, very bad line up on stage. Overall a depressing environment, as we know it can change, but for now it's not good. The thing is I have my stable of ThaiFriendly girls that I've seen before regularly with a fixed price of 1500. These are my remarkable girls. The one pictured I've banged 42 times since the COVID in late 2020. They are my "go to" girls that I compare others to when paying 1500 baht per 1 hour. If there is a disagreement and the new one doesn't meet these standards but demands more money, I go back to the girls like the one pictured, and still get my 1500 baht pricing. They are nice enough to see me still even when they have boyfriends or sponsors. Why? Because like Sicario, I am a professional and it's just business. I see many of them in public and all they get is a "wink" when nobody is looking and they are with other people. Yes me, the hunter, the hitman.

Visited Champagne that was a big disappointment, a shadow of its former self. It was almost empty, very bad line up on stage. Overall a depressing environment, as we know it can change, but for now it's not good. Also visited Kink and I almost could made the same report preparing myself to leave the bar when I start seeing a considerable number of people going upstairs, there was no sign of activity upstairs and even didn't knew there was a space upstairs since it was my first visit there. I decided to go there and asked the staff if I could go with my drink and bill (like in Windmill in the past), they told me I could take the drink but had to pay the bill first which I did. When I got upstairs I didn't expected to find a total different environment, more than 10 full nude girls, some in a small stage and the others mingling with the customers. A very hands on aproach, like Windmill in the past. The girls quality was really so-so, but I have seen worst in Go-Go's this year. A lot of clients and a very enthusiastic ambience. I just find curious the fact there were no signs at all, perhaps they want to mislead some new clients avoiding second floor to become full. I will probably try one or two different LK go-go's next time, and of course would be grateful if someone suggest's "this one, and not that one".Best ones are on WS not LK when it comes to GoGos. But, few customers, so the ladies sit in empty bars.
It is common for bars to offer high salaries for ladies when the bars open, but then scale back salaries after the first 10 days.
So, there are now ladies who exclusively work on 10 day contracts for new bars, moving on to the next new bar when the 10 days are up. If you are a balloon chaser who goes to new bar openings, you will see the same ladies at each opening.
When High Season comes, many of these bars will be jammed. I just don't understand why they are opening in September, when there are few customers.
As a resident here, I have lots of ladies maintaining contact so they can get a night with me if they have no customers. But, they will all forget me when High Season comes.

Thanks in advance for your input.Yes I took two covid tests prior to departing as Inhad three flights to get there and the timings varied and so I had consider the 72 hour test window for my connecting flight in Japan and for when I entered Thailand, so it was all a little complicated. But no airline asked for proof nor did Thai immigration. Of course, you should still get the test. I had one Covid test through my health care provider and a second through a private company which was covered by my healthcare provider.
So I am heading back to Pattaya for the first time in 3 years.
I am positive that I am not going to the same Pattaya that I left in 2019.
So here are some questions:

Some bars have indeed disappeared, but others are still there.
You will find nearby the Tree Town complex, not existing in its form before Covid.
Some bars will continue with low music and dimmed light after 2 am, especially in the less obvious locations.

TreeTown is the main area now.

Barfines seems higher. Expect 500-2000 for barfine now. 500 beerbar but for gogos it seems its all 1500+.

Expect a lot of indians. Empty gogobars and a lot of beerbars with just girls no costumers.
In general there are too many bars now for the amount of tourist. And they need girls to GET customers so the competition is killing. Higher salaries for the girls (so higher barfines) and girls who work more and more on a 1 day tag instead of the traditional 10/30 day tags.
So that hottie you see? She might work somewhere else the next day.

Took a stroll around these streets today checking out what is on offer at the Tree Town bars and I believe the soi called Soi Chayapoon (the soi with Amon's bar) and man it's looking rough. Must have passed 50 bars and not one looker, most older and overweight and a ton of aggressive LBs grabbing at my junk. I think the bars are desperate, they were quoting me 400 BF for LT, I thought it's usually like 1,000 or more.
Soi 6, as average as it is, puts these other areas to shame, which isn't saying much.
Plan to try some GCs I haven't been to yet to see if I may find a diamond in the rough.
I'the say TF and GC's are the best options right now.

Just got back from probably my last trip to Thailand and had a decent time. My last few trips there, I was going through the motions a bit so I'm not surprised.
Pattaya is still a good place to visit but just not for me anymore.
The only Street I still consider to be good value is Soi 6 and that's hit or miss. You can still find some decent girls there and the price is still good value but Soi 6 has been going down hill for years.
Soi 6 used to be great with all the closed bars and people used to just go to session but since the Night Wish group took over, it's more and more about people getting drunk. If people want to sit there for hours and drink, that's totally up to them but often they will sit with the hottest girls for ages with no intention of taking them upstairs.
You can find some good deals on Thai Friendly too but I find the online scene a bit boring and like to see what I'm getting in person before I take them.
Didn't really enjoy Tree Town tbh, didn't see too many hot girls and the one place I did, the cocktail van, wouldn't sell me non alcoholic drinks except on one occasion.
Soi Pothole bars have improved but I find the Gentleman Club girls often lacking in looks.

Just got back from probably my last trip to Thailand and had a decent time. My last few trips there, I was going through the motions a bit so I'm not surprised.
Pattaya is still a good place to visit but just not for me anymore.
The only Street I still consider to be good value is Soi 6 and that's hit or miss. You can still find some decent girls there and the price is still good value but Soi 6 has been going down hill for years.
Soi 6 used to be great with all the closed bars and people used to just go to session but since the Night Wish group took over, it's more and more about people getting drunk. If people want to sit there for hours and drink, that's totally up to them but often they will sit with the hottest girls for ages with no intention of taking them upstairs.
You can find some good deals on Thai Friendly too but I find the online scene a bit boring and like to see what I'm getting in person before I take them.
Didn't really enjoy Tree Town tbh, didn't see too many hot girls and the one place I did, the cocktail van, wouldn't sell me non alcoholic drinks except on one occasion.
Soi Pothole bars have improved but I find the Gentleman Club girls often lacking in looks.

I understand if they suit your tastes all the more power to you, but I don't fly for hours to fuck average looking women nor do I have months and months on the ground to hunt. The quality of the women in the average GC is really not great at all. I have done it all. Massage shops, bars, free lancers from clubs, Thai Friendly, GC's, gogos. And quite frankly the quality of the women is well below par with rates higher than what they used to be. Thats not to say there are not hot women here, I'm nto exactly banging ugly women but its becoming a challenge everyday and I am having to shuffle through a lot of very average situations compared to the past.

Guest friendly hotel to the point where I don't have to go down and receive the girls. They can come and knock on your door directly. I wouldn't recommend that unless you do a video call with the girl though. Girls on TF know really well how to pose perfectly for pictures. I'm at a stage in my life where I can afford to splash out when traveling. Once I make the long journey to Pattaya and settle in for several weeks, I'm not really price sensitive. If I can find a hot girl who's willing to go back to my condo for a couple hours, I'm happy to pay whatever the market will bear. Plus probably a little something "for the taxi."
But these days the search seems to have gotten an order of magnitude more challenging. There are fewer girls in town, and hotties have always been in the minority. That trend may reverse if the upcoming high season goes well and word filters back to the village that there is money to be made. More worrisome, I think, is that there are now OTHER ways for the girls to make money. Stupid sponsors; web camera sites; and hustling drinks to name just three. It seems to me that the average to below-average girls can probably make ALMOST as much from those "boom boom free" pursuits as they did going with men. Maybe they take a small pay cut. But they'll make that trade. Call it the Pattaya version of "quiet quitting."
So currently we have a smaller pool of girls to choose from. If they were "out and about," the old Pattaya business model might still work. I'd have to search harder and pay more. But I could deal. Unfortunately some of them have moved online. Fine for ex-pats and/or Thai speakers. But for the guy on holiday, it's a challenge. Even if he finds a girl he fancies in the flesh in a local establishment, there is a non-negligible possibility she's only there to hustle drinks. (I read with great dismay the stories about this happening on Soi Six. YGBSM!)
Mr. Roberts has some sharp words about the scene in Pattaya that does NOT revolve around P4P. I take his point about the lager louts you see day drinking all over town. But as I've written before, Pattaya's laid back beach vibe appeals to me. You don't have to spend all day blasted to enjoy sitting in a comfortable bar sipping something soft while watching the world go by. You can hang at the coffee shops, or explore the cheap food options stone cold sober. Heck, you might even get a little exercise or take a side trip.
But here's the rub of it: There are an infinite number of little beach towns. Pattaya's magic "plus factor" has always been the P4P scene. Right now that scene is arguably so lousy that the "plus factor" is very small. Will things gets better? I'm pessimistic. Thailand is now a relatively affluent country. The birth rate has been falling for years. The current regime is hostile to naughty boy tourism. Different business models allow girls to make money outside the bedroom. Meanwhile the Boomer Boys are aging fast. Neoliberal economic policies in North America and the Eurozone have depleted their disposable income. Who's going to replace them? Our brothers from the subcontinent? Working class Chinese dudes? *Maybe* our friends in Northeast Asia. But are there enough of them to reverse the trend?
OK, that's enough pontificating. I've got to get back to work on that side hustle project I've got up on the other screen. It pays pretty well, but I'm not sure I'll spend any of that money in the LOS.

Arrived BKK after 29 hours + travel around 2100 45 minutes early, breezed through customs. A bit annoyed that my ride via Nams lady taxi wasn't watching my flight and ended up waiting 45 minutes in arrivals, but over all the service was good, booked the L sedan nice big sedan for the 1. 5 HR trip.
Arrived at the Holiday Inn Express, I think its a fantastic brand new hotel for the price, extremely clean good location good breakfast. There is a good money exchange across the road (I always use to pull out from the ATM but I did the math and it's better to exchange cash, much better rate then my bank but may vary depending on your bank, I only exchange what I need for the day) , in house laundry machines. If your walk to the left as you leave the hotel and walk to the first major intersection there are two great carts that does really good espresso and coffee as well as fresh fruit smoothies. Both for under 100 Baht. Then same direction you have Mamas Burgers which she makes the meanest burgers, hot dogs etc and very reasonable prices. Popular with all the expats, only open at night so great post bar 2 am snack.
Also Nemo massage is a 2 minute walk, very good legit massage place.

Got checked in and the HIE around midnight, walked to Soi Pothole was hoping to hit up Maggie Mays for a quick ST then explore a bit more but was closed already by the time I got there. Few other bars on the street I had done some research on didn't have any lookers. Walked around a bit to get a lay of the land, LK Metro & Tree Town. Was busy, since I wasn't here before Covid I can't compare numbers of customers vs ladies etc but my initial impression is alot of ladies that are past their prime and younger non lookers.
By 2 am got a bit frustrated couldn't find anything I like. Ended up sitting down for a drink I think at a place called Excite (Beer Bar) right as your turn left onto LK Metro Soi Buakaho its on the corner right side. Found a cute little Issan girl, which seems like the majority of ladies are. Forgot her name but she has two cheek piercings. I have 4 different views at the moment, so I am still trying to decide where my head is at with things.
1 - Given how average looking the women are in the P4P scene in Pattaya right now, I am spending more time chasing down freelancers and girls on dating sites anyway. I am not sure what the point of being in Pattaya actually is, because I could be doing the same in places like Samui or Krabi and spend my days in a far nicer part of the country. Granted I won't have access to this many freelancers, but I have been here enough to know that line is blurred anyway.
2 - Spend more time in BKK. Its not so much cost in Pattaya as the quality being poor, and at least in BKK the options are better at a slightly higher price. BKK has always been great for a few days, but I don't know if I could spend a month there given I can work remotely. The great thing is that the massage shops, oilies, soapies and escort scene is MUCH better quality wise, for maybe a 20% increase in price. If its predominantly sex, then BKK is a better bet if you are not one to sit in a bar all day.
3 - Accept that this is what Pattaya is for a while. Maybe it gets better, but I suspect that with all the sponsors and simps all over the world that live in our home countries where an endless war is being waged against men, there is a never ending pipeline for these girls to supplement their income. I think the smartphone and internet has done more damage than anything else. One girl I repeat with has an OnlyFans page, and she says she has cut back on fucking for money because that is slowly growing. She has over 100 people paying her 9 bucks a month and gets tips and extras for custom videos, photos and msgs. That does not sound like much, but 40 k baht a month just from Onlyfans puts her at three times what a factory worker makes. So she has pushed her ST and LT rates up, is picky about who she fucks now and she sticks to regulars she likes or better looking younger guys she is attracted to. This is a girl who would have been working a pole 15 years ago, but she is simply not in the scene and she does her own thing. I think the cheap charlies have always hated the two week millionaires because they think they push the price up by spoiling the girls, but what they never realized is that it was the two week millionaires that were also bringing the girls in. A lot of these girls often came into the industry looking for boyfriends and maybe husbands too, and they were not really after the wily old fox that had been living in the city for the last 10 years and was going to be far more mindful of the pennies he was spending. The lure of big money from their perspective, especially from people whose service expectations were likely to be lower too was another factor.

Much less tourists in the streets, with perhaps certain zones of LK Metro that in certain nights felt very lively, One perception I had was there is an eageness to open (or re-open) new business. Thais seem very oriented to entrepernauring activities. I wlll now divide my observations:
Beach road. Much less women that in 2019, of course the old, fat and ugly where all there, but has in the past here and there you could found doable girls. Some much better you would find in Bars or certain Go-Go's. Didn't approach any one, but noticed a certain difficulty of closing deals between the women and the punters. Many talks, but almost no closed deals.
Gentlemans clubs. Also didn't adventured to none, but saw some girls outside, not too many young ones, but that has already been said here.
Bars. Here you can find the oldest women, many of them had company, I think long time residents are already used and if what you are looking for is someone to talk, they will be better providers than a young girl. Pattaya at the start of the year was in a terrible state with most places closed and bars forced to close early. I understand that conditions are improving and I'm looking forward to a Christmas return.
The bars are having a tough time restarting, they are finding it very hard to recruit girls at this time so they are accepting any girls willing to work but they also have to offer larger salaries and a bigger cut of the lady drinks. That's having an impact where the girls are making enough money on salary and drinks that they don't need to do even ST with customers.
It's particularly noticeable with Nightwish bars, it's rare to see girls go upstairs as they spend all their time earning money from drinks and horn-pulls. If you ask to take a girl upstairs it's pretty common for them to say that they have period or they are a drink only girl. On a Nightwish related site, there has been a growing wave of complaints about this practice, so much so that the price increase to 1500 + 400 is barely being spoken about. Loyal customers over the years are saying that they don't intend to return to Soi 6, so Nightwish is now losing customers to the Soi Pothole / LK Metro / treetown bars and I don't stop there as often as I used to either. I'm not about to boycott Nightwish but I am going to reduce my time in their bars.
There are still plenty of other options and I will make the best of it.

I keep in bi-weekly touch with about 15 travelers. Only about half the normal group are planning on going to Thailand this high season. Most say the reason is more expensive airline and hotel prices. In my case, my November/December flights are not too expensive, but my February/April 2023 flights are 50% more than what I paid for better class travel at same time as 2022. I haven't yet booked my hotels, but those prices have also increased a good bit.
Even without the current problems in Russia, Ukraine, and China, high season won't be all that high.

It depends what the alternative destinations offer to the captured tour. Certainly in our hobby, LOS is second to none, even if we do not represent a big chunk (for the country, but are significant for the local Pattaya insustry).
There's not much a country can do to drop airfares, especially when its own airline is not in the best shape, and as a major cost factor comes from fuel. Subsidising inbound passengers (as many tourist destinations do in Europe with Ryan air)? I doubt it can happen in Thailand.

Live in a city locked down at 24 ,or less, hours notice for a month.
Find they cannot access their bank accounts and their savings are in the wrong sort of account and not protected by the government.
Their employer shuts down periodically because of power shortages, or permanently because of cash shortages.
They are still paying rent, as well as the mortgage on a flat where construction hasn't started yet, and the family savings made up the deposit.

Second Road is pretty much jacked up from those Indian businesses near WS, all the way until after the Base. If you take a 10 baht bus from Jomtien, it will detour on 16 behind Day and Night Hotel. So pay attention to save you a long walk. The area behind Avenue is totally jacked. They've pretty much managed to kill all the businesses on Buakhao 15 leading up to Buakhao. Nothing is alive back there. Immigration Jomtien was nice about handing me a 30 days extension to add onto my 60 day tourist visa. Cool! It may be another long "holiday" in Thailand once again. When you are a long stay tourist (not expat), it is totally different the price you pay for everything. You know so much more. Saw some Desi bros at the beach looking at a menu at one of those beach stalls with chairs and umbrellas. Asked them, if they see any kitchen around here? They said no. I said then why would you pay a 30% mark up for food the vendors just order from a Thai restaurant to be delivered? Use LINEMAN or FoodPanda and save you a bunch of duckets. I don't see anything suggesting prostitution "in a brothel" is illegal as your link suggested. Unless it is a brothel where the deed is on public display I suppose. Running a brothel, pimping as in helping someone procure a prostitute, living off the money someone else earns from prostitution, age-related, by force or coersion, etc, yes, I see those behaviors cited as illegal.

I don't see anything suggesting prostitution "in a brothel" is illegal as your link suggested. Unless it is a brothel where the deed is on public display I suppose. Running a brothel, pimping as in helping someone procure a prostitute, living off the money someone else earns from prostitution, age-related, by force or coersion, etc, yes, I see those behaviors cited as illegal.

Technically they are soapy massages. But then again, they operate like brothel with sex on the premises. Everything is disguised as massages. The wording is so vague. "Taking away a person for the act of prostitution" is illegal. What the hell does that mean? Barfine? If anybody gets caught in some sort of raid, which does happen. Do not argue on how prostitution is perfectly legal in Thailand. Just go with the flow and don't make a big deal out of it.

Agencies and hotels from Thailand are being in tie up with lots of travel groups in India to promote group travel, an evidence of booming economy after covid. Of course the mannerism showed by the groups are not up to the western standard. But that doesn't mean that they are all gays. Younger generations are highly sophisticated and the standard of travelling became greater quality these days. Exceptions are allways there but please don't generalise. Even on TF, the going rate is 1200 - 1500 THB though if you in Pattaya, not sure why you will use TF.

When I go to Pattaya I totally understand the behavior of the Indian mongers. If the median tech worker is making 375 Baht / hour that 2000 Baht spent at a Soi 6 bar is a 1/2 days pay. One 1/2 day of my pay I can BF 2/3 of ladies in the bar + drinks.
This is not meant to be a cut on India, or on Indians. I work with scores of hardworking, dedicated Indians every day, and I my bonus is dependant on them. It is just the data.

It's my final days in Pattaya and being a little drained with the usual things I decided to conduct an experiment on Soi 6. A lot of talk of increased prices and recent comments stating they paid 1,500 plus room cost. So, I walked down Soi 6 and propositioned around 10 random girls for ST (all average to slightly average and above in looks). The quote for the room was always 300-400 baht and every girl quoted me 1,000 baht for her up front, no negotiations needed. No need to pay 1,500 baht, any girl that quotes you more than that, walk off and find another as most do 1,000 baht. There's hundreds of girls on the Soi to choose from, no need to get stuck on one and pay 500 baht plus extra.Thanks for the information and your intel! This is good stuff, I love Soi 6, good value.

It may be a long wait I'm having a difficult time leaving Little Japan in Ho Chi Minh. Spending way too much but so much fun. There are 500 baht BBBJ options a 50 baht taxi ride away but that's not my thing.

What's the trick?If you are only talking about Happy Endings, then it would be difficult to find a shop in Pattaya's tourist areas that does not include this. Just assume it is offered and for the 1% of times that you strike out, remember the name for next time. The act itself is performed on the massage table, generally at the end of the massage. The massage is usually of average to very good quality and will be the full time that you booked.
For Full Sex / BJ, yes you will need to find dedicated shops. Again, not that difficult. Look for more seedy establishments, girls dressed less formally or uniformed, and younger (debatable) faces. Acts are also performed in the room on the table or mattress on the floor and the massage component will likely be short and perfunctory.
Generally speaking, the further away from Beach road, the more that will be offered. If in doubt, just ask. It won't be the first time the girl has been questioned.

I fired a barfine today.
I had told her she could stay with me for 2 days (she works in Ban Chang). So, she showed up yesterday at my condo, with zero belongings, no suitcase, no change of clothes. If you walk down Sois, like Soi Pothole even along Soi Buakhao from Pattaya Klang to Pattaya Tai main road majority will be a Happy ending. That percentage will drop with the ones wearing the uniforms. Let me get this out of the way since beauty and looks are subjective I'm not going to even touch on it!
Shops on Beach Road are all on the Left side, wrapped around Walking St. Towards Pattaya Tai right side past the Bamboo bar, all along 2nd Road both sides ALL WEARING uniforms the % will drop with Happy Ending. I've seen some very good-looking ones in my eyes with the uniforms it is like a box of chocolate you never know what you are going to get. I don't do the Thai Friendly stuff, massages are my thing today it is like a game I ask for a foot massage conversation always starts up where you are from, etc. Etc. If the conversation leads to oil, you are heading to 1st, based? If they don't provide an outfit or pants, ask you to shower come back you just laid naked you are on 1st.
Uniform girls usually want a bit more they want you to think this isn't what they do normally you special handsome man etc, in the end, it takes a bit of work I've ended up with some pretty good regulars that rather see you on the side because they don't want the other girls to know. Hotel: messed up a little here as it was alil out of town on the mountains. Had a few girls ask extra $ for taxi to come there. But was on average 40 bht on bike and 70 on car taxi via bolt to / from beach road area so no big deal.
Weather: too humid! And the afternoon rain was predictable.

It was a quiet soi with lots of naughty things going on behind closed doors. It was not a party atmosphere, it was fairly low key like most G clubs are now. Opening up the bars and making it a loud street kind of ruined it for me. And of course back in the day all the bars were individually owned there was no big ownership group. Very different street then.
