First, thank you all for answering. This is really the best forum for infos and tips to first-timers like me.

My, my, my. I've been told from this friend of mine that staying 3/4 weeks or more makes sense as the only way to balance high costs of plane ticket, since once in Pattaya life there is cheap and now I find out that it is expensive too!

Maybe I should re-plan and stay only two weeks.

By the way, flyng to Bangkok from Milan with Thai Airlines is about 900 euros (roughly 1. 300$) so it is actually half of the budget for the holiday.

(Unless you don't have better tips for that too, it seems to me that flying with Lufthansa, Klm or other companies which stopover at somewhere makes a long journey longer and even more expensive. Thai Airlines still sounds to me as best bet).

Back to budget. Yes, I think I can raise it to 1. 300$ or something, depending if I manage to save something on plane rate, but not much more.

Opebo, as for lifestyle during holiday, if think 1 girl a day will work for me. I have been told that girls stay overnight for an average of 1. 000 baht, so having 2 girls a day would mean either a permanent threesome or an extra session in the afternoon and I don't think I would ever reach that score.

As I told, I would enjoy some rest too, some lazy time in walks, laying on beach or riding a boat to coral island. Or is it a 24hr pussy-focused set like gambling is in Vegas?

Now, I would enjoy a comfortable accomodation, but I don't need no luxury. I would enjoy some fine food and drinks, but I don't mean pushing it at top.

Thai Learner, with all respect, 100$ a day sounds a bit high-roller to me, even considering that still, my budget is actually too tight.

I will think about it and see if I can come up with something.

I have to agree with Thai Learner, I usually budget about 150USD (about 90GBP or 100EUR). I certainly don't live like a high roller on that budget, but I don't want to spend the money to go all the way to Thailand and not enjoy myself.

My recommendation is that you push your trip back to the summer, if possible, its low season in Thailand and thus flights are cheaper, also its cheapest to fly on Wednesdays. I just did a quick search and found a ticket on Egypt Air through Cairo for 806USD, as oppossed to the 1, 300USD you mentioned on Thai Air in January. Given your budget constraints I really feel that you might enjoy yourself more if you were able to move your trip back and buy the ticket now. That would give you an extra 500USD to spend during your trip.

IMHO. You don't want to come to Thailand and not be able to enjoy your time there and if you come with only a 40, 000THB budget for 3 weeks, I think you will quickly find yourself bored, because you can't afford to do anything but walk around and sit in your hotel room. If you take 1 girl a night LT at 1000THB each for 3 weeks, that's over half your traveling budget right there, and you still haven't paid for the hotel room. So if you pay 500THB for a really small room, with no aircon or TV, you've spent another 10, 000THB, and now you have only 10, 000THB for everything else, including food.

There are other things to do in Pattaya besides shopping for pussy, the Thai's are putting a real effort into making Pattaya a travel destinantion for all types of tourists, not just us. With that said, all that stuff costs money too. Trips to the little islands, are realtively cheap, but on a really tight budget like yours could represent a substantial cost. For example I once took a ferry with a girl over to a small island, it was 100THB each, each way. The 100THB for the taxi's around on the island, add in food and drinks for the day, and it was 1, 000THB, reasonable to me, but if my budget was 40, 000THB I doubt that I could have worked it in.

Egyptair had a promo recently for only 420 euros from Athens round trip.
You had a connection at Cairo of about seven hrs both ways though.

Qatar and Emirates were asking about 620.

Thai was 650 if you purchase the "charter" ticket through travel agencies.

I choose Thai for their non stop service. All the above from Athens.

Check for best fares.

Charter ticket means that you have to book your hotel together.
Travel agencies seem to overcome this problem with Thai international.

Most of the places I stay would be charging me money for smoking in a non-smoking room. Be sure to get the fee from her before you boot her out.

I've spent four nights in Pattaya so far and here what I've got: nothing stellar, still having a good time.

I choose to stay in the same resort as in Aug. that is Chopraya on Tepprasit Rd. Compared to "downtown", it takes two minutes more to get there but has a very nice pool and garden, walk straight to the room, has wi-fi, A/C, and is quiet, costs only B. 650, or 4,200 if staying 1 wk.

BTW I rent a scooter, and if anybody has a comment on the wisdom of that, like it happened some years ago here, please save yourself the effort and spare your advice for someone that cares about.

I try to engage girls without going to bars (that bores me to death), but that only partially works. Anyway, after three trips I have developed a better sense of what to expect and from who.

For example, I go to Lucifer on Friday, and there is a really good R&B band playing. I've found that is not always immediate to tell the pro or semi-pro in there. Many girls apparently come to just have fun, have no problem in paying their own drinks, and possibly look for someone younger than me. I play the cool and stay on the safe side. Two chicks come and the one with a large rack, not very young, a 7 or less, wants to dance with me, I was in the mood also, I pay her one drink, all good so far and she is very enticing, then she wants more drinks (140 b), little detail she was a bit drunk already, I give her a chance to chill a moment and talk, she doesn't want to, her loss and I walk away.

Similar situation in the place with the hanging vintage car, sure some random woman will smile or take your hand, but they are not attractive, speak no english and one wonders WTF they are doing in there. Again, in most cases the lookers do not appear interested, but if they do, they are quickly taken.

Speaking of which, this is one of the two constant truths I've found so far about Thai girls: (1) the really good looking ones are taken already, and (2) there is always (at least) one problem with them.

On the third day or so I go looking for my former girl Dak at the place where I understood she was living in August. I show a picture of her to some woman living in the same building, she makes a puzzled face but cannot help. I leave my number to in case she founds her, but have no hope. That is a bit of a loss as she was a good girl with a sense of the humor and I didn't get bored with her. Pics below, may be you have seen her ?

I meet for a beer with Mouse1, he's a cool bloke, but he's heading for Devils Den, that is above my budget so I have to pass.

The other friend I made is a Saudi, but he has his own quirks, just came here to study (on his laptop, no books ?), only carries a small backpack ??, drinks half a bottle of whiskey "to sleep" ??? That's all good with me but he likes LBs, so that pretty much closes the matter of hunting together.

At the end, so far in the positive I've only got some not very good looking girl from a Soi 8, that does everything without complaining for 500 b, and a new shortie, Tai, that has an Ok face, a bit chubby yet enjoyable body with C-size boobs, to stay LT for 1,000. She wanted me to do her friend yesterday, another sweet chubbie but I won't repeat, at least Tai is actually hotter in bed and have some english.

All the others, bar or beach road, were serial complainers and non-doers.

Final note about the type of Westerns you can meet here. I walk into a massage shop to ask for a take away. While I'm being told the prices, etc, this guy (nationality doesn't matter, but not mine ;) from the back interjects, "he talks shit". I go like "excuse me, can't you mind your business"? Few more exchanges follows, and I leave telling the ladies, to thank much old falang for the lost business.

It is amazing how quick a you can spend a budget I budget around £100 a day which is 5000bht (approx)

Accomodation for me is 550 bht
Food 500bht
Bar Fine 500bht
Girl LT 1000bht

This does not include drinks for you 60-150bht lady drinks 80-200bht plus may be tips .

You can also get a baht bus which drive around Pattaya with trips with in Pattaya itself 10 bht a trip , you can rent one as a private taxi for 100 bht .

Sometimes I spend more sometimes less.

I have seen idiots who have wasted money in just one bar and they have spent 30,000bht .

I also rent scooters so I feel I need to say something:

Make sure you are careful about where you rent these scooters from. Many shops can give you great deals (150/day for a Honda click Automatic for example) but BEWARE... that paper you sign when you rent the bike is NOT an insurance.
I really suggest all who rent scooters to pay insurance, in case something happens.
I rent my Bike for 350/day (yes, expensive) but it is inclusive of insurance.

And please invest 400 thb in a proper helmet... these worthless mushroom hats they give you are not protecting your scalp.

At this point I've got a better idea of how arrange my trip.

I read that not all user agree with each other's budget but I will assume an average of 3. 500 bath per day, making a balance between wilder and quieter days.

Still, I don't want to wait for a later trip when season is hotter, so I will probably reduce my holiday and cut on days rather than cut on fun.

I think that Thai Airlines is the only way for me to get there with a nonstop flight. It's getting me crazy to see rates raising and lowering from week to week, from date to date, it's hard to get an insight on when you might book at best price (same date, same company), sooner, later? All through last week flights for incoming December were cheaper than flights for January. I don't get it, nobody from north Italy going there for Christmas and everybody going in January?

Blu-express is the same to Blue-Panorama. Flights are available only on Friday, so you have to make either 2 or 3 weeks square, but most of all fares are close to Thai (you don't save much) and they now results "full" for my dates (I think they play some tricks too with that).

Can you link me one of the site you mention? I keep scanning company to company and each gives me high rate.

Prices are not much different nowadays than they were back in January 2008. But, if I am not mistaken, US$ is lower and euro is higher now than (almost) two years ago. As you are coming from Milan, I guess that you are an Italian national, so, it's better to indicate what is your budget in euro.

You probably can save around 150 or 200 euro on your flight though. I don't know exactly what are your vacation dates in January 2010, but I've found a round trip ticket Milan-Bangkok at 722 euro with Emirates Airlines on GoVoyages (http://www.govoyages.com/) with a departure on January 9th and return trip on January 30th 2010. You might even find better deals depending on your actual vacation dates.

Taxi from Bangkok to Pattaya: 1000 baht including tollway fees with Mr. T (for instance): mr_ttaxi@hotmail.com

Return taxi fare from Pattaya to Bangkok: You can find almost everywhere in Pattaya taxi fares at 800 or 850 baht, but usually not including tollway fees.

Accommodation: You can find a decent hotel room with A/C in the 500-800 baht range per night, and even cheaper (however, the location is not always great then or you won't have A/C but only a fan in your room, but it could be only 250-350 baht per night approximately).

Food and drinks: If you eat mostly at the street stalls and Thai working class restaurants and drink moderately, for instance mostly water and only 3 or 4 beer cans (or bottles of iced tea, soda water, coke, or whatever) by day and buy them mostly in the 7-Eleven stores, you can spend only 200 or 300 baht (approximately) per day on food and drinks. But don't forget that you may have to pay also food and drinks for a girl if you find someone who wishes to stay 24/24h with you.

Girls: You can save on bar fines if you only pick up freelancers. A lot of them will agree to go with you for 500 baht ST or 1000 baht LT. Older girls (and/or the less attractive ones) might even go for 300 baht ST. You also might have better deals if you negotiate a price for several days with the same girl (but you should be very careful and select your girl wisely for not being stuck with a boring or a too jealous one, for instance). If you want to have a girl that will stay 24/24h with you, not only you will have to buy food for her too, but also entertain her and probably, offer her a few gifts too.

So, if you can save a bit on your flight ticket, it's probably possible to spend 3 weeks in Pattaya with a total budget of 2000 euro (including your flight ticket), but you must be very reasonable on everything and you won't shag many girls (one LT or two ST per day mostly with freelancers) and can't do many extras (almost no shopping for you, and no expensive non-mongering activities).

For various reasons I went with Devil's Den girls on two nights, and on both those days my expenditure was less than average...

Knowing that I have a hot totty booked for the night means I'm not tempted during the day (so no visit to Soi 6), and I'm pretty relaxed in the evening (so no need to trawl the bars and buy multiple lady drinks at several bars). A couple of beers in a quiet bar is enough.

One night I did take a girl from a bar, paying about 300 + 1500 Bht + drinks, so around 2000 Bht. So the price differential is not so great, but I agree that I wouldn't want to do it every night.

[CodeWord900] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord900) (pattaya) has undergone a significant transformation since the last time i was there. they now have semi-private booths on the main floor for those who want to sit and chat with the girls as some were doing last night and a large bar area. unlike [CodeWord900] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord900) in bkk, the pattaya version now has upstairs private rooms with a couch and a high chair but the girl i had was a bit too short for the high chair so she asked me to sit on the couch.

the ambience and appearance of the place is vastly improved, the sleazy atmosphere is gone. chose a smiley-type girl or should say she chose me but must she have misread her duty description because she was more interested in tossing my salad than blowing me but i will never pass up an opportunity to enjoy that pleasurable event. all the girls seem to be very happy and in upbeat spirits with a couple of them saying come back and get me tomorrow, while others were smiling and giggling.

Prices do increase but you also have to take into consideration the exchange rate as well on my first trip in 2005 i could get nearly 70bht to a £. In January this year I was lucky to get 50bht to a £, now it is around 55 bht to a £. So this makes things more expensive .True. It's getting me crazy to see rates raising and lowering from week to week, from date to date, it's hard to get an insight on when you might book at best price (same date, same company), sooner, later? All through last week flights for incoming December were cheaper than flights for January. I don't get it, nobody from north Italy going there for Christmas and everybody going in January?

As far as airline tickets are concerned the sooner the better. They offer limited amount on low fare seats and when they are sold they go to the next higher fare, usually 50 euro higher and so on. My flight for the same dates has gone up to 930 euros now from about 645 when I booked it on 11th November and it is for the end of February not January and from Athens not Milano which is further by two more flying hours.

If you don't make your mind soon you will have to pay much more I am afraid.

Use your ATM card for money or bring euros and change only small amount at airport due to lower rate there than the city.

Blu-express is the same to Blue-Panorama. Flights are available only on Friday, so you have to make either 2 or 3 weeks square, but most of all fares are close to Thai (you don't save much) and they now results "full" for my dates (I think they play some tricks too with that).

Using credit card atm is expensiv nowadays. Back home they chrge(depens country and bank) from euro 8 to 15 for one transaction.

The best is to take traveler checks in euro 100. Use credit card then only for emergency cash or once the eurochecks are 0.

Correct! That's why I wrote ATM card not credit card. My bank is charging me 4 euros/transaction plus the new 150 baht/transaction by the Thai bank now imposed. All that for the withdrawal of 20.000 baht.

I bring mostly cash for my entire stay and also opened an account with "K" bank for after hours convenience.
ATM card is a back up alternative in case cash is drained out.

Arrived well and fit yesterday, got an upgrade to business class on the way out. At the airport went upto arrivals and got a taxi which had just dropped off a passenger. I said to the driver 1000baht to Pattaya ok he said and I got in, one and a half hours later stuck in the heavy Pattaya traffic around town.
Dropped off my bags at LK Renaisance and headed to Soi Honey for a massage, picked a girl called Dang, 39 and 2 kids but knew all the right moves, ended up taking her back to my hotel for an over nighter. I am still using my UK Nationwide Debit Card at BoA (Yellow) ATMs with no charges, not even the 150 THB. I also get an excellent exchange rate for withdrawals of 15000 THB a time.

I am interested to know how one can open a Bank Account here with only a Tourist Visa. I have tried a few in BKK but they say it is not allowed. Will be down in Pattaya around 9th December for a week or so, maybe easier there.

You can. At least in Bangkok and Pattaya at Kasikornbank. The only thing they require is your passport and a Thai address. But a Hotel will work.
You can get an ATM card instantly. For online Banking you need to register a Thai mobile number to receive a one time password by SMS.

IMHO, you should consider flights with other airlines even if it implies a stopover for a few hours because it might very likely help you to save around 200 euro (and maybe even more depending on your actual vacation dates) as explained in my previous report here: 961082

let's get this straight - Ayuthaya Bank (the "YELLOW ATM BANK) DOES NOT CHARGE the fee. The PROBLEM is that they give a LOWER EXCHANGE RATE (about 1.5%) to make up for it. IF you withdraw 20k B, then it costs you LESS to pay the 150B FEE. IF you have the time, go to a bank (NOT AYUTHAYA) and make a point of sale withdrawal inside (same rate as with the ATM - BUT NO FEE)

of course, you would need to do this during normal banking hours...

I can confirm that Ayuthaya Bank has changed from 0 to 15 B fee. I recall having read about different currency exchange rates a while ago so I gave it a test on 23 November. I however got feedback that the fee varies, some get charged and others don't. also worth noting that when I reurned to Pattya I was not able to withdraw money on the two Ayuthaya Bank ATMs I tried, so I had to use a reguler one which charges a 150B fee.
Semms like I mixed up the forums I'm posting at, but this is what I posted on another forum:

Here we go again with the never ending topic regarding the extra ATM fee levied on foreign cards in Thailand. Last time I was in Thailand in September the yellow Bank of Ayudhya ATM did not charge the fee. But someone on this or maybe another forum claimed they gave an inferior exchange rate, which sounded quite weird to me. The Thai bank surely does not charge me in my native currency NOK. That conversion I firmly believe is done at my bank with a 1.75% extra to the official currency exchange rate, wherever they get it from.

At the corner of Soi B and Soi Diana there is a Bank of Ayudhya ATM located next to a red Siam City Bank which charges the 150B fee. I wanted to check out if there was any difference in the currency rates so I took out 10 000B at the yellow one and a minute later the same at the red one. Siam bank charged as usual 150B, and Bank of Ayudhya ATM now charged 15 (fifteen) bath. That was new to me. Then when I checked my bank statement the 10015 B was 1740.84 NOK and the 10150B was 1764.30 NOK. This gives an exchange rate of 5.75299 and 5.75297. Pretty much the same rate I would say.
So my conclusion is the yellow Bank of Ayudhya ATM.

well Tim, I was there in August. BAY didn't charge a fee but gave about 32B/$ (US). On a 10,000B withdrawal it was roughly $306 - plus the roughly 1% additional fee from my US bank. They made me agree to the exact withdrawl $$ amount before the transaction.

The Bangkok Bank and Siam Bank charged me the 150B (I didn't have the opportunity to go in for the withdrawal - I needed cash for some purchases and had left the passport in the room) The exchange rate was $29.94 per 1000B - or for 10,000 $299.40+4.50=$303.90, so about 1% difference. By your numbers, BAY has apparently changed to the "international rate of exchange".

Since I have not had the time to make it back (yet! - both English and Thai translation of the word applicable) I cannot say whether or not there some better rate available from BAY (or not as the case may be - if it IS then for "fast money" I would go back to BAY). By the way - there was one down by the market area heading toward Central where Soi Buakhao swings to the right then to the left by the new hotel. Is that the one you were describing? It's a ways from Diana IIRC.

That's just my 2 baht experience, your experience may be different. Like I said, though, go INSIDE the bank and avoid the fee entirely. It's ONLY charged for the ATM withdrawal

Walkin in any Kasikorn Bank branch in Pattaya with your passport and your hotel business card and you are done in 15 minutes.

They charge 500 baht for the ATM card plus you need to deposit some amount into your account. Whatever amount even another 500-1000 baht.

Most probably same applies to Bangkok.

Interesting to note that things barely closed for the birthday holidays. On the day itself, Saturday, there were maybe 50% of bars truly closed, but the next two days everything was as normal.

King's birthday is a big thing. Most bars honor the holiday and abide by the rules of no booze for the day. Some do offer it, but behind closed rooms. Open bars on the outside were very empty except for a few customers eating food.

365 days and only a handful that requests bars to not serve alcohol. Thailand's still up there in ultimate party country.

On average, March is less busy than November (hotels have more rooms available, but the girls are less numerous usually).

Weather is hotter in March (probably by more than 5°C during the afternoon and a lot more from the evening till the next morning) than in November.

Both months are pretty much equivalent regarding the amount of rain (usually no or almost no rainy days then).

then it’s time to return to los again for another two weeks. it will actually be the 5th time this year, mostly short trips, but still it’s been a good thai pussy year. i booked a 46 m2 studio at nova park. it has some mixed reviews, but it was just below 1000b a night at agoda, so i decided to test it out and booked 2 nights there.

one aborted landing and then we touch down in foggy istanbul. i forgot my book in the plane so i might as well start typing this trip report. al hamdulilah, a lot of hajjis in white bed sheets at the airport in istanbul. i think i will have more fun than them. so i head off to the turkish airlines lounge, which is closed, but door is open though. but it’s just full of snoring passengers who have probably been stuck for hours. so then it will be a coffee instead. bkk flight is boarding, no it’s not. just on the bloody screen. it even comes up last call, but there are no staff there, and no plane at the gate, and then they change back to wait in lounge. a new time appears and the same bloody thing happens again one hour later. one thing is for sure. turkish airways sucks when it comes to info. i’m tired, i’m horny and i should have landed in thailand soon. now, the new boarding time is 1000. and we actually start boarding some time after 9. but then we sit in the waiting lounge until 1030 before boarding the plane, which doesn’t take off before 1130, 4 hours after the plane should have landed in bkk. have to forget about my plans for devil's d today.

I woke up at 2 PM, but should have slept for a few more hours. I meet H for a late lunch and later S joins us and we head over to DD at around 6. 4 girls in the line up only. In March the weather as noted is much hotter! Too hot for me personally! This year it was not only hot it was very humid as I remember. April is Songkon ( The water festival ) some like it and some leave town or don't bother to visit during that period because they get soaking wet! As for the rain I normally say to people " don't even thing about it too much to enjoy to let rain get in your way "

Hotel? Well I don't stay in them but it should be less than high season Nov/Dec.

I have been a regular reader of ISG but do not post much which I am trying to change now. I was in Pattaya during Song Korn for two days and then in Bangkok after that.

Warning for NicFrenchy and others who may not like like it, I will keep on using the initial letter of my friends names.

It is 01:30 in the morning Friday 4th December and I’m back at the airport. I was considering spending my last two days in BKK, especially since it’s so late. I haven’t stayed there for a while since there us no Internet in the room, but with the Waawee coffee shop opened next door who offer WIFI access for 50B for 2 hours and makes good cappuccino, HL is more attractive to me. The location is just superb on Pattaya Tai where it meets Beach Rd and Walking St and they always have rooms available for 600B. The rooms are a bit old but sufficient for a short stay.

In March the weather as noted is much hotter! Too hot for me personally! This year it was not only hot it was very humid as I remember. I suppose there will be much mosquitos too... how is it in January?

Agreed, but it gets worse, during this last week in Pattaya I have seen so many (shirtless) Russian blokes I thought I was in Moscow, except for the temperature and the prices of course !!

I thought most bars had a Dress Code, however it seems to be more of a Baht Code I suppose - as long as they spend they can wear or not wear what they like.

Bare male bellies in the street are bad enough, but in bars and restaurants, no thanks.

Still I will continue to enjoy Pattaya - so long as the ladies dress correctly :)

Back in the UK with treasured memories of my latest visit, found the best day time massage to be on soi 13/2 "Happy Dreams" the girls here are by far the pretiest on this soi and much better than where I went the first few days soi honey. Prices are the same 1 hour oily for 300 and 500 for the HJ, be careful they will try for 1000 by offering to take their top off while they polish your shaft. I can recommend Jont and Lyn, Lyn actually did a little first knuckle rimming which was what I was looking for. One other observation, head from Apex on 2nd road towards soi 8 you will come to a cluster of bars on the same side of the road as Apex, there are probably 20+ bars all together. Spent a few hours 1 night here and basically there was probably 100 girls for about 3 farangs the whole time I was there so must be a good hunting ground.

used this company http://www.pattaya-taxi.com/ emailed reservation and got picked up from airport 1100bht. also got minibus back to sukhumvit for 4 of us 1800. girl in office speaks english-had major problems trying to make self understood with taxis elsewhere. would recommend

i stayed areca lodge (2 star) £24 per night, my friends at lk metropole (3 star)about £30 i think –(both on soi dianna inn off second road)booked through agoda http://www.agoda. co. uk/. both ok for money, girl friendly, no charge for guest (300bht for 2nd girl at areca –didn't have energy for that!) food good in metropole –also advantage their breakfast available their until 12. i only made breakfast 3 times at areca where buffet breakfast finishes 10- bit early if out till 4:30 and don't sleep till 6. reasonable pool area at areca –only had time to go in once though-. would recommend both,.loads of action outside and not far from beach road, walking street to walk –get baht (10bht) bus back

had 9 girls in the week in pattaya:

No, the mosquitos are not that bad in Patts. Most "decent" hotel rooms don't have any mosq. problems either as long as they have an A/C working- the filters inside the AC keeps them out. Most mosq. get into your room when the cleaning lady keeps the doors open too long.

If mosquitos are your worse fears then you have absolutely nothing to fear in patts (except the ladyboys at night).

1) its never safe to carry too much cash anywhere in the world (not just patts), always carry what you think you will need for the night + a few bahts more just in case. Leave the credit cards locked in your hotel as there is little use for it at night unless you are going to buy something expensive in a store.
Try to remember not to encounter ladyboys when you have too much cash as some are expert pickpockets.

2) all decent hotels have safe deposit boxes to store all your extra cards and money.

I am 100% baffled by this 'Pattaya's shirtless yobs' discussion on ISG. I always spend a few days in Patts on every trip to Thailand because it offers most things that Bangkok offers at a better price and with a better climate.

I've seen people wandering about without shirts during the day in all the Thai beach resorts, but this is par-for-the-course in seaside resorts the World over. I have never seen people without shirts at night other than myself when I (rather chivalrously imo) gave my tacky Ben Sherman short-sleeve to my barfined girl to wear on the taxibus on a cold snap night about 4 years ago. Ha ha, you know I meant bank transactions, but still can't figure why 500b? as i've open Patt accounts before with very minimal charges (if any). The sole idea of having the bank ATM use without all them fees. Not sure what the insurance and service plan fees are thou?

my 2 friends came back from their day trip with very bad stomach upset resulting in them both vomiting and purging for the rest of the day (day 4). i gave them some charcoal tablets to neutralize any minor food poisoning and lots of or salt. their "giks" abandon them (surprise-surprise......) and i had to baby-sit them through the night. in a way it was also good for me to take a rest from mongering...hehehehe

I took this picture on an earlier trip this year.

At the end of the day, Pattaya is a beach resort, and people do tend to dress down and lose their inhibitions whilst on holiday at the beach. What would be considered inappropriate dress in urban Bangkok, is surely fine for Pats. I have often seen their caravan set up at the top of Walking Street and thought that it was a good idea to have some liaison between the real police and the punters. So they are in effect a ‘monger police’. These guys must have originally come to Pattaya as punters themselves so must be aware of the problems. I gather that they are fairly unpopular and maybe even a bit of a joke amongst ‘regulars’ but I guess that they are better than nothing. However, Miller himself looks more of a yobbo than 90% of the sex tourists he is dealing with. If you ever meet him ask him to say yaba. Well, to be frank about it, nothing is 100% theftproof in Patts. Yes, I've heard some (but not many) stories about theft but mostly from your own room safe and not the main one down with the reception desk.
So here's what I always end up doing:

1) never withdraw too much money to begin with, calculate what you need daily and withdraw around 3 days worth from the ATM--add a few extra bahts just in case, then when supply gets low, withdraw some more etc,etc.--remember, you are NEVER more than a 5-7min walk from the nearest ATM so don't need to carry much around.
2) the extra money you have, pocket 1 days worth on you and put the rest in the room safe.
3) keep your passport (carry a copy with you), extra cash you may have on you from home, credit cards and other valuable documents and stuff them in the reception desk deposit box.
4) above all, don't be so paranoid about the whole thing as it WILL affect your mood and good times worrying about every little thing, go with the flow and it'll be ok.
5)avoid the LB/katoey, they are your main threat to having something lifted from you.

personally, I use a motion sensor alarm attached to whatever I use to store my B. That in combination with securing the bag to the bedpost and a hardshell bag usually provides enough security to deter the "common" thief.

Since I don't drink in the room (except alone) I'm not concerned with getting drugged (which is the "other" source of problems) But your advice is appropriate for most situations. I RARELY have over 20K B at any particular time anyway.

The lobby box is OK particularly IF they allow you to use your OWN LOCK (some places have what resembles a "gym locker" box - I bring my own lock)

Motion Sensors? Christ where do you folks stay... Now you're starting to get me worried and I've never had issues anywhere in Thailand.

Securing to bedpost? Only thing I secure to the bed are girls with the bondage gear :D

Personally in Manila and other places I do / have used a PacSafe but do not use it in Thailand. I have security cables for the netbooks but I'm more interested in data theft then the theft of a netbook.

Seriously the hotels / properties I've stayed at, and my experiences in all of Thailand have all been above board thankfully (knock on wood).

I haven't used the pacsafe much - it's a bit of a hassle with the locks except when traveling on a bus.

Now you've got me concerned. I've visit Thailand every two months for years and never had an issue. Granted I usually pull higher end girls and stay at better places but now you've got me ready to pack up my pacsafe, security cables for equipment my portable door lock, security cameras, and everything else.

Yes I do travel with atleast one if not two locking chests for work materials that won't fit into safes (70 lbs is my usual luggage weight each piece so good luck to a little spinner BG trying to sneak those chests out the hotel).

The most problems i've ever had was pick pockets at NEP in BKK. I work in bad areas in SEA and Thai to me is (or was) like nirvana but you bastards just ruined it for me. Again I'm mostly just worried about data theft but what frigging BG would care about my data.

I guess I should be thankful but in reality you just started to make me paranoid. Bastards... just bastards.... :D :D Seriously Thailand is so so so so safe compared to many other SEA countries. Granted you want to play with lady boys or FL and stay in flop houses then you run a higher risk but in general Thai's, for the last 15 years, have proven themselves to be much more honest then other countries.

With the current economic issues, I will agree that things are getting more dicey all over the world but still, thailand is safe(r) just use normal precautions. But motion sensors, bicycle chain locks... my god that is my like my bondage gear :D I guess I could use my bed straps for locking up the luggage when they are not used on the beds...

And as to my bike cable lock?---best $6.95 investment I ever made. If the gal had made off with my luggage, then the cost of the luggage itself would be $125, clothes inside the luggage (shirts/ jeans/ pants)=$200, pair of sneakers=$75, camera + charger+ extra batteries=$300 and misc stuff inside the luggage( like my electric shaver etc)=$75+

So yup, shit adds up real fast.
But I do agree, LOS is a very safe place overall, but just need one bad incident (like stolen luggage) to ruin a good vacation. So, always better to be on the "safer" side.

The motion detector is actually for the computer but it works anywhere. Cut the cable and it screams 115db (pain in the ass to disarm, too, in case I forget I set the motion sensor).

3 "movement" levels - none (cut the cable only), low (takes bashing it pretty HARD- no, you dirty minded bastards, not that kind of hard), and HI! (just move it and it chirps twice in 3 seconds then screams. I also use my cable lock for the computer to secure bags, too because the sonic alarm isn't a "lock" just an alarm.

Anyway - about the ladies - I KNOW the ones to trust and don't trust ANYONE else. Sometimes I have an amount of valuables with me, too. Those go into the locker box where I stay that has one. No desire to mess around with anything except true poo-ying, so that isn't an issue either. I will admit to having a LB get irate at me when I said "chawp poo ying tao nun. Ta yak doo poo chai, doo eng dai" - I only like ladies. If I want to look at a guy I'll look at myself.

Oh, and I heartily recommend USING A NECK WALLET, too, Utterly IMPOSSIBLE TO picka-da-pocket :)

When I'm in Pattaya, the girls that I bring back to my room are mostly FLs from Beach Road or Walking Street. I've never had anything stolen so far. I don't act like a fool, I am reasonably careful and I often take my time to select a girl for a LT session. For instance, when I've just met a girl, I usually have only a ST session with her at first, and if everything is fine, I may take her again the day after for a LT session. I second that. I'm strictly FL too... the skankier the better! (just kidding) If I had never been to Thailand before these guys would be scaring the shit out of me. I do keep my pacsafe tied up in the closet with my extra cash, credit cards, plane ticket, and passport, however I have only had that for my last 2 or 3 trips. Before that I still had never had a problem with people trying to take things nonetheless. Maybe it's because I'm a cool mf and I don't mix getting sloppy drunk with mongering.

Also, before I leave the room to do a pickup the only money I'm going to have on me is what my final offer to the girl is plus a little spending cash. For instance, if I'm doing a BR pick up then I will carry with me 500 for the girl plus 300 in case I want to buy snacks or food. Rare soapie event, 2000. If I am doing a Lucifer run then I carry 1000 for the girl (in case I end up going back to her room instead of my hotel) and another 700 for misc. I don't get caught up buying the expensive drinks in the club. The faces I have seen on guys after they get those bills in excess of 3000 baht, when they could have used that to session for 3 different all-nighters.

Arrived from Isan 6pm, Nov 3rd, at the Ibis on 2ND Road for 2 nights as the Pasadena Lodge was full.

After de-clogging from the slog South, I ventured into Soi 6 for some well earned relief. Took a slow stroll towards Beach Road and decided on a sexy girl who took my eye outside Kiss Kool. Opened a bank account the day before I leave Thailand so I only deposited 1.000 baht. Got my ATM card right then right there and all the necessary gear for internet banking. Some more info on that was send to me next day by e-mail. A lady clerk helped me to set up my new pin on the ATM outside the bank, without her looking of course, and that was it.

Next time in Thailand I intend to do what you are saying. Change the euros into baht and deposit them there and use my ATM card onrwards. Don't know about foreign currency accounts. Ask them and let us know.

I forgot to ask about fees. I think they do not charge otherwise my Greek friend who took me there would have told me.

Have your money well spend there. Plenty of holes eager to take it in.

What is with all these renovations going on along Walking Street? They are tearing half the place down, gutting out bars, sometimes for the second time in a year on the same place. Just take a walk from the North side down to Soi 16 and up. I saw an escalator that was less than a year old being removed.

Is the future Walking St all glass and metal ala SoHo Square?.

I'll admit I prefer the funky original buildings to the Soho style and I know things change but do all these renovations seem overly excessive to you all?

And do all these renovations seem to be in good for business sense?

Sorry to inform you of this, but Thai Banks require 2,000 Baht in the account. If there is not 2,000 Baht in the account they deduct 50 per month as a bank fee until there are no longer any funds in your account and it is closed.

We often don't know all the details of the story when shit happens, but most of the time (of course, not always), it could have been avoided provided that the punter has not acted foolishly. Common sense is your best protection, not a barfine.

I try to help out the newcomers, when I can. The guy opened a bank account with 1,000 Baht. Thai banks will charge you 50 per month if your account has under 2,000 Baht. So, the guy made a mistake. The teller at the bank should of told him, but then again you never know how good her English is, or if she could of even explained it anyway.

In addition, I should have mentioned this before. Thai banks also charge you 200 Baht per year for your ATM card. So, even if you do open an account with 2,000 Baht after one year it will be under the minimum limit and you will be hit with the monthly bank fee.

Hopefully, when he set up his account, he also set up internet banking and can transfer some funds in, so he does not have problems in the future.

Other than that, Goyave, please do not comment on my post anymore. They are not intended for you, nor do you comments add any quality information that a newcomer might find useful. In addition, I find them offensive and I am tired of reading them.

Read again the previous posts, Bill Miami, and you will (hopefully) see that I'm not the one who wrote some precisions about Kasikorn bank accounts, and I'm not the one who mentioned your paranoia either, so, don't present things this way, because despite what you might think, I am not a serial antagonist and certainly don't deserve the honor to be considered as your Nemesis.

I find Walking Street go-go bars to be the only place with quality acceptable to me in Pattaya, and even then I have to hunt for a while. Beer bar girls are cheaper and usually friendlier, but have nearly always had a baby (an instant no-no to me) and tend to be older (18-21 is my range). Any of you Pattaya experts know of any other options, other than go-gos, for that quality? By the way I am in BKK right now, and the quality in Nana Plaza is the best I have seen for years, and they are getting their kits off again now! Or maybe it's that I have much more well developed instincts and street savvy and common sense than you do, and I am perfectly capable of doing what's needed to safeguard my personal belongings and my physical being. What you call my having been lucky, I call my having taken suitable precautions to protect my valuables and my person. The fact that you recognize that you yourself are incapable of protecting yourself in the company of a freelance hooker is not my concern. I personally haven't got any issue with doing so. My belongings are always secured when I'm with one. I don't get drunk either, so I keep my wits about me. I've written it before.

Best way is to lock yourself, and the girl, inside and put the door key inside the electronic safe. In that way she can not leave unless you open the door for her.

Unfortunately not all hotels provide this option. Most apartments do or you can install your own at some low cost.

Rule of thumb NEVER EVER leave your drink unattended even in your room when you are with a girl. You go to the bathroom take it you.

During my recent trip to Pattaya I had the distinct pleasure of spending 6 days and more importantly 6 nights with ms. Hom from Devilsden. You're not a senior member yet, so your reports are still delayed and can often appear at a later time between other reports written by senior members... and sometimes, senior members forget to check earlier posts from regular members that are actually displayed later in a thread.

I've found this girl not in Pattaya, but in a brothel located in Isan (Northeastern Thailand) a few months ago. Even a Farang can pay as low as 300 baht for a ST session on premises there. Service quality offered is often poor (not always though, but one must investigate a bit to find the real gems there), but the girls are usually younger and prettier than your average bar girl.

You can find Thai brothels (usually disguised as karaoke joints) in Pattaya too (for instance, near the junction of Theprassit Road and sois 8 & 10, or near the Esso gas station that is located not far from the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital on Sukhumvit road; beware though, it is not recommended for a newcomer to go in this area late at night), but I haven't checked them recently and it’s a bit dearer than in my favorite brothels in Isan. Farangs are usually admitted in the brothels and fake karaoke joints that I know, but it’s better to speak and understand at least a few basic Thai words and sentences): most of the pimps / papasans / mamasans will probably try to charge you (often twice) more than a local for the deed.

I have just returned home from my eighth trip to LOS. The trip lasted 30 days. Here’s what happened. I am including costs for the benefit of those who don’t know what things cost, and ages for the curious. All ages were confirmed by ID card.

My plane landed a little early and I just made it onto the Bell bus to Pattaya (200 baht including minibus transfer to hotel from bus station). The bus was full this time so I was reminded this was high season (late November). I checked into Radi Mansions located between Soi Yume and Sukhumvit (450 for superior room) and got a nice welcome from the owner and his Thai wife. I had arranged to meet two ISG members and did so at Cats Corner bar on soi 14/15. The 19yo that I know at that bar was on her night off. I politely declined the mamasan’s offer of an alternative lady (the best way to [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) off a girl is to take another from the same bar) and my ISG buddy and I toured around Happy Go-Go and Secrets before ending up in Windmill Go-go. I started to feel a little bushed so I proposed long-term to a dancer (25yo) in Windmill shortly after midnight (when the barfine drops from 1200 to 600). The next day we visited the big reclining Buddha and got blessed by the monk, later going to the municipal park where they had a big display of lanterns after nightfall.

After two nights in Hat Yai we took a bus to Songkhla (40 each). The bus was colourfully painted and had really loud falang music playing. Most of the other pax were muslim schoolgirls. Thai muslim girls are great, not at all shy, asking us endless questions, smiling hugely. We checked into the BP Samila hotel (1500 inc bf), a really swanky hotel right on the beach which is assaulted by relentless deafening waves. We walked around Songkhla a lot the next day. The day after we returned to Hat Yai and got on a minibus to Trang (200 each). I was really scared as the young driver drove so fast and tailgating so bad and in the wet weather. When we got to Trang I wasn’t sure whether to be grateful we were still alive or angry that he had tried to kill us. We checked into the Thumrin hotel (700 for superior room) which was a bit dusty and smelly. Next day we took a minibus to Had Yao and on by longtail boat to Ko Libong. We stayed at the Libong Beach hotel in a beachfront bungalow with no AC or hot water (800). This was the best place I stayed in this trip. The owners do a good job, it is not luxury but they are friendly, things are done well and prices are OK. It got so cold around 3am, we hugged each other for warmth till sunrise, and we loved it. We walked to a nearby fishing village which was really clean and well kept. It is muslim so there are no dogs which was nice. There was nowhere to eat in the village but there were some places nearer to the hotel.

I won’t go into details, suffice to say my girl was taking very, very good care of me in and out of the room, she has a slim body that I just adore and that seems to fit with mine to perfection. We were chatting away happily like before without any sign of getting bored with each other. However, she kept telling me she was stupid because she had recently had a French customer who was on his first trip to Thailand and who fell for her in a big way, promising her all sorts of wonderful things, marriage, life in France etc. She normally does not like French men as she considers them cheap charlies but this one had clearly been an exception and very generous. She kept telling me she left Franceman because she loved me and she was stupid for doing so. Eventually we had a discussion. I reminded her I had a wife back home, so marriage was not possible. She said she could be my mia noi. I asked her what this would involve. She told me I would need to buy a house for her and give her 30,000 per month, to be paid whether I was in LOS or not. She has a friend who lives in one of the country club secured ghettos on the fringes of Pattaya and there was a house for sale for 2.8 million near her friend’s. This friend (42yo) inherited her house when her falang husband died, and she has just remarried another Englishman who was on his first trip to LOS and fell for her big time. I agreed to look at this house but made no promises. It just so happened that I have a friend who has just split up with his mia noi after eight years and stood to lose his house as a result because he had put it in her name, so I was in no mood to take a similar risk.

All this mia noi pressure was getting to me a bit so after three nights on Libong, we returned to Trang and took the night sleeper train to Bangkok (2700 for first class). Then taxi to Pattaya (1000 after some haggling). We went to see the house and I met her friend’s new husband. The house was of no interest to me. The new husband was a nice guy but fresh from a nasty divorce and clearly with little idea of what he had gotten himself into, or about Thai girls in general. I told my girl I wanted a few days alone in Pattaya so we separated, this did not please her too much but she accepted it OK.

I went to Secrets and ended up barfining a 29yo who I took to Kum Pun. We had a ball dancing at Kum Pun and back in the room she was a real sex bomb, the first such experience I had had. However, it was a bit too much action for me and she smelt a bit fishy so after a bit of boomsing I withdrew gracefully without coming. I said I might one day buy a house somewhere else in Thailand but I would take a mortgage or lease on it so even though it was in her name she would not be able to sell it without my consent. I also asked her not to complain when I had a couple of nights alone in Pattaya as I was paying so I was the boss and I could say when she came and when she went. This caused a bit of a bad mood for one afternoon but she was OK after that.

After four days we caught the minibus from Ban Phe to Pattaya (200 each, go up the side street next to the 7-11 opposite the Samed pier, ignore the taxi touts who will charge you 50 baht per person just to show you the place). Again I told her I wanted a couple of days alone in Pattaya. Of course I tell her I do not go with other girls, just looking I say. I went with my Secrets girl again because she was so hot for me when I walked into the bar. Basically the same thing happened again in the room with her. She started sending me frequent texts which I ignored but I go and see her in the bar when I can. No more barfining for her though.

When I met up again with my no.1, she got into quite a bad mood so I told her to cut it out. She persisted so I told her to go home. She would not so I went to get security. Before I got to the door, she grabbed me, told me she was sorry etc. She was absolutely perfect from that moment onwards for the next five days until I left to go home.

I have just returned from a weekend in Pattaya. I was tired and taking it easy.

I looked in at X-Zone gogo in soi 16, right at the end of Walking Street. The
first local drink is always two for one. It's one of the sleaziest gogos I know, but surprizingly also quite easy-going. It's a mixed bag of girls, but there are absolutely some cuties.

I strolled Soi 6 where I said hello to two girls I've made friends with, but no longer feel like going with, one at each end of the street. I usually buy them a drink or two if I need some time to relax, and I always wish I didn't just know them in the bar. This time I wanted to take an unlikely little waif longtime, as I had taken her ST before, and had good memories, and wanted to go eat, see a movie, whatever. Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya

Arranged for Queen Vic's airport transfer. I was getting off of a long four-day five-flight jaunt across the Pacific and SEA, arriving late at Suvarnabhumi and didn't want to have to think about or jockey for a taxi. The driver met me in the arrivals hall and the comfy van allowed for a nice stretch and nap on the way to Pattaya. The Queen Vic on soi 6 is a basic Inn. You'll get your room, shower, TV and safe. All is clean but at 600B per night, you get what you pay for. Admittedly, they do have more expensive/nicer rooms but while in Pattaya, I didn't want to spend too much time in the room. The view of the soi 6 ST bars from the room is priceless.

High season Pattaya is dreadful. Maybe it was the combination of the tourists, from every freaking corner of the world, mixed with the tired exapts? I think I prefer the low season!

Spent good times in my favorite gogos, Lollipop and its sister club, Baccara. The girls there continue to be playful and fun. Two STs on two different nights each wanted 1500 but settled for 1000. I also went back to an old favorite, Club Beosche, a little further in on Walking Street. The Jacuzzi shows were still top-notch but the club was too packed for comfort each night.

Did rent a motorbike for a couple of days (200B per day), so was able to get about and explore the further reaches of Pattaya and Jomtien. Recommend to those who wish to get away from the routines of Beach/Second roads.

Of course, shit can happen, but the news media only report the worst stories and dramatic events. And in probably more than 99% of encounters with freelancers, there is nothing worth reporting for the press.

We often don't know all the details of the story when shit happens, but most of the time (of course, not always), it could have been avoided provided that the punter has not acted foolishly. Common sense is your best protection, not a barfine.Agreed on in full. Outside of the rare occurrence, I stopped paying barfines a long time ago. There is just too much talent and too much fun elsewhere to be bothered, and until that changes, I won't. I also have never been ripped off let alone rarely ever had an unpleasant experience. I think the girls know how to suss up a guy pretty fast, and if they know you live here or are spending significant time here, know your way around, know the language, or whatever you give off that lets each other know where you stand, then I'd say the odds have been greatly reduced. Not that you should leave a bag of money on the table or give your newfound dream date your room keys, but I think freelancers get a pretty unfair rap. It's like being told that with gogo girls you get a better body and better bang for the buck. I picked up two gogo dancers last week, and guess what, both of them had recently stopped work because they didn't like listening to the mamasan, dancing, or being committed to certain hours and had taken to freelancing. The original Black Pearl located out on Siam Country Rd. has been closed for sometime. The second one opened is still in operation and is out towards the one million year old park. When you head out from Sukhumvit along a road called Chappowitti ( mispelling ) you will continue on this road for sometime. Once you go over the new overpass ( which you can see the new freeway to Bangkok ) you will be getting close. On the right you will see a 7/11 with a local market next to it. Go pass that and there is another 7/11 on the left.. don't make that left to the Park.. instead continue straight for another 100 yards and you will see this shack on the right with a Cannon in the front.

Well, I'm very disappointed. Yes, there's girls everywhere, and most any can be had short time. But what makes Thailand stand out (compared to FKK clubs or whoring generally) is long time. But I'm finding that the ones available to me long time are not ones I'd want to spend much time with.

This is probably due to me being overweight, falang, and nearing 50, and there seems to be 'a policy' of young, pretty girls going with young pretty guys. Or am I missing something crucial here? At least this is holding true on Soi 6 and the better gogo's-almost every girl will go with me short time, but virtually none long time-none of the pretty ones, I mean. I am 65, was overweight, diabetic and had a heart attack. Fortunately it was a mild one, I recovered, started exercising, lost 40 lbs and I don't get turned down as often anymore. I don't advise having the heart attack first.

I suspect that it's (at least partly) because it is the high season now and many girls would rather have several (more than 2) ST customers than only one LT session with one guy. It's easier for them to do so when more tourists are in town, especially for the prettiest girls. Of course, as mentioned before, some girls don't do LT at all for several reasons, one of them being the existence of a Thai boyfriend wanting them at home during the night.

I find that at least in the gogos , its harder to get the top girls to agree to long time up front if they dont know you. Obviously, "this is Tland" so the reasons are numerous and have been mentioned. Having a good attitude and being playful goes a long way IMO, and is more important than good looks.

If I take a stunner from a gogo, usually going somewhere after for a drinkie and a little dancing/partying seems to work well. Alot of the top gogo girls like to party w/friends etc, esp in Pattaya.

Maybe try the beer bars? Should have NO problem with LT there, based on experience. ;)

Well, I'm very disappointed. Yes, there's girls everywhere, and most any can be had short time. But what makes Thailand stand out (compared to FKK clubs or whoring generally) is long time. But I'm finding that the ones available to me long time are not ones I'd want to spend much time with.

This is probably due to me being overweight, falang, and nearing 50, and there seems to be 'a policy' of young, pretty girls going with young pretty guys. Or am I missing something crucial here? At least this is holding true on Soi 6 and the better gogo's-almost every girl will go with me short time, but virtually none long time-none of the pretty ones, I mean. Just a couple of hours ago a cutie agreed to go LT w/me, when we got in the room she pretended to be tired and said we'd do boom boom in the AM. I immediately walked her back to the Soi 6 club and got my bar fine back (which I was willing to sacrifice, actually, and lucky to have it back).

Now, I'm not especially ugly, just an average american 40 something, overweight, but over and over again, I'm refused LT.

I much preferred the low season, when there were fewer tourists and I had better luck LT (although back then too I got a lot of refusals for LT).

If anyone has any advice about this let me know. I'm not having a good time here at all, and if it were economically feasiable, I'd fly out of Thailand pronto.

This was my first trip to Pattaya or Asia for that matter. Did read alot on this site before going and trying to make this a perfect week.

I understand now afterwards that one week is not enough time to explore even half of this place, but I did have a fun and interesting week.

New and nice place, but location is about 200 meters of 2. Street, and the backstreets are not the nicest. But for me it was no problem.

I had a huge appartment, small kitchen, huge cooler, GREAT air con, nice balcony with limited view. Breakfast was really really nice, even if I only got to try it 2 times.

When checking in I recieved 2 breakfast tickets pr day, so a joiner would have breakfast as well.

The hotel is in my eyes very joiner friendly and my first two days I had booked girls on the phone and they came straight to my room with no problem.

The hotel have a pool, but being placed in front of the hotel close to the bumpy back street, I would say its pretty much useless.

I arrived late on the first evening, so I had booked with Kiki Kinky up front agreeing that she came to Pattaya and stay night with me. She is a really great girl, speaking almost fluent english. She has big boobs and they had some problems with gravity.

One negative thing about the trip: it was difficult to find girls who could say more than"you sexy man" in english. I know that long discussions in english is not the reason why going to Pattaya, but if anyone can recommend girls who speak some english, that would be great.

I am soon going back to Pattaya and I hope to get some answer.

Question:

1. When taking a girl for ST, and after 2-3 hours she asks if its ok for her to stay the night. Does this mean anything? Shall I pay extra for this? (happened to me 3 nights.)

2. What is the procedure to have a girl for lets say 3-4 days straight? (Thinking about barfine and payment)

3. Is it possible to find 4-5 stars hotel where I can pay cash and don't show any ID/Passport?

Next time I am going I will try to hook up with some of you guys to have a "partner" too make it all more fun.

Phattaya funny times (love sex and adventures)

We all love Phattaya, I guess. It's a dirty, noisy, smelly and crowded town. But what it really has is the strangest, weirdest and most amazing variety of characters to meet from around the gloB. It is in fact better than sex. After you have done all the positions with a hundred or a thousand different women, men, donkeys, horses, pigs, etc. It loses a lot from it's novelty. It turned out that his name was Pavel and on a salary of around a hundred thousand dollars a year plus a bit extra "from his inventions", that he is selling to companies. He could make more but 100 grand a year was "enough". Naturally I was taken aback, being something like a beggar all my life, always having lived in a tin shed next to a rubbish dump, feeding from foodcourt leftovers. The only time I see a real bathroom is when I come to Thailand and stay in 200 baht hotels. At home we always use the latrine and the bucket.

He assured me that "money is where you see it". I had to object that I have to have the money first to see it but he kept denying. Pavel says "You first have to see the money to have it later. " I had to accept, after all he was buying the beers. Real HEINEKEN in a bottle! I always drink the cheap Chang or the draft on special. Heineken bottle is the rich peoples' stuff. Such a nice, slender bottle, so smooth, glorious. Not bulky and rough like Chang. I felt wonderful having found such a rich friend.

He said he was sitting here or in other bars most days, just observing the crowds. That didn't sound too exciting to me (being the man of action such as constant wanking, eating, shitting, rooting, etc). Just by the act of looking at it we change scenes to suit us. He even assured me that the music in the bar was different before I entered. (How could I object, I wasn't there to check it!) He was a top conversationalist gentleman, we talked about all things like politics, jiggying women, football, the Dalai Lama, etc. He even assured me that he personally knew the famous Japanees man Schoko Asahara. (The gentleman who got locked in the cage because naughty acts on Tokyo sub ways.) Pavel insisted that Mr Ahasara was a kind of god and could not be locked in a cage. He is not same like us. He, the Dalai Lama and many other gentlemen are actually one, they see with each others eyes, they walk in each others bodies, they jiggy with each others phenises, it's troo. They cannot be khilled, confined or locked in cages and it was foolish even to try. I was fucking amazed, while getting a bit drunk as well after the many FREE beers.

I very much got engulfed in my friend's stories (much more than in the feast of meat before upstairs) when very suddenly one huge brown arm appeared before us, me getting a big slap on the face. Crazy scream and trumpeting. Even the boys leading the female elephant were shocked and seemed in panic. All noise in the bar stopped and looked towards us. One of those fucking animals that they lead around at night for alms was right in front of us and seemed to me rather mad.

Certainly not docile like they usually appear. Only Pavel did not panic. He said "Don't be afraid. It is you! She won't harm you. " How can I be a fucking female thickskinned animal? ". It appeared to me. Nevertheless the fright was over, she emptied all the cigarette butts from the ashtray before us, stuffed them in her mouth and left. Everything returned to normal. I DID get fucking scared and admittedly had to go into the bathroom to check the contents of my pants afterwards. (Some toilet tissue cleaned it up allright).

beagle - going "upcountry" typically means going to "ISAAN" (northeast Thailand) - Korat and east, up to Udon Thani and in between out to the Lao border. The "rice growing region" of Thailand.

Remember that "pa-sa isaan" (Isaan language) actually means LAOTIAN language - quite similar to Thai (70% identical) but different the farther NORTH or EAST into Laos that you get. It's about like the differences between Spanish and Portugese except that the consonant count is reduced to 28 in Lao from 44 in Thai. Anywhere that Thai TV reaches, they understand Thai.

OK peter - here's the truth

Thailand made a law that a hotel has to register your passport number or get a fine if they get caught. They register you unless they want to pay (and I think it's more than a room cost if they get caught not registering a guest.) There are "short time" rooms where they probably don't register you but the larger hotels will FOR SURE take your passport number.

You DO remember your passport number??

muffhunter - find an "open air" market and a seller/repairer of phones there and BUY A CHEAP MEU-TEU (Thai for "hold in hand" - a "cell phone") That plus a 300B sim card and you will have a phone cheap (phones can be had for 500 to 1000B as long as you don't demand COLOR - maybe a Nokia 1100.

I'm an American, 40s, overweight but I would say that unenthusiastic girls seems to be the outlier for me.

Last week I had two incidents that are very different than the problem you are having. Both in Bangkok, but it should be the same. First was in Thermae. I was in Pattaya 2 days last weekend with 2 friends. We didn't have a room and our taxi driver didn't know one to suggest so we stopped first at soi 8 and took rooms in the first hotel, which was Sunshine Hotel on Soi 8. Walking street a big disappointment, nothing much there expect high prices for a beer. Watched some tired shoot a banana from pussy show, nothing much to offer. Next day soi 6, a lot better place. Much of Ethiopia is a green and fertile land. It's like thinking that the US is a desert because you've seen pics of the Mojave. Suggestions you've recieved from other punters on here are all good ones. Personally, however, I have found just as good a result walking along the beach side of beach road.

Can I second JB's comment about beach road. Yes, you have to be wary - there are a lot of girls (and fake girls) on Beach road who could give you some grief (thieving, throwing a temper tantrum, druggies etc etc). I suggest that when you see what you like, sit beside her and chat for a few minutes. Standing over her might put her off. This way you are more likely to find out if there are any potential problems. If she pays you no attention, leave. If you see any health problems or if she appears intoxicated, move on.

But when I checked some weeks ago, I found quite a few ladies who were not from Issan but from Bangkok and the central part of Thailand. I brought each one to my guesthouse and all behaved very well. Many had no babies. Most were victims of the economic slowdown. All gave reasonable GFE - I repeated with 2 who were particularly outstanding. #1 The girls like short time for many reasons, I. E. Make more money, but also they never know who they are hooking up with. Last year I hooked up with one girl and spent 10 days with her. Girls prefer ST for any number of obvious reasons. If they stay all night, they get popped at least twice, but maybe more (my record is 7!). They stay all night with a guy who they probably do not like and probably do not find attractive. The guy might snore, he might smell bad, he might be nasty and aggressive, he might want to do things she doesn't like, she might get no sleep. If they go ST they get popped only once and are probably out within one hour. And the deciding factor, the fee for LT is only about 50% more than for ST. If you were there early last year then this year is slower and if you were there 2-3 years ago then action now is much slower than last time you visited. FL actions in discos is still ok but FL action on beach rd is way down from years ago.
