It's a Thai gogo bar scam. Mamasan figures you can afford another lady drink or are desperate so mama or the girl tells you that there's a drink quota the girl needs to meet. This happens a lot to guys who don't know better at Walking Street gogo bars. Why we have that popular poster named "Forty Drinks". This is the first I've heard this at a LK Metro gogo bar though.

What you should have did in that situation was walk. Tell the girl to find a lady drink from another customer while you wait at another gogo bar. Ask her to Line you once she has that drink and you will come back if you haven't found another girl by then. Today was my final day of my month-long trip Thailand and Philippines. It would prove to be one of the best.

No, your main risks as a punter in Thailand is overpaying, and or barfining the wrong girl and having a shitty session. I spent 2 weeks on Soi 6. Hated it and I was not the only one.

Two guys in their 30's wanted to walk from Beach Road to Second Street. They looked down Soi 6 and decided to take the next street. They chose to avoid sexy girls because the girls are such a pain in the.

I saw many guys at both ends of Soi 6 building up the nerve to run the gauntlet the first time or to return back. Kinda like you are about to go underwater and you are taking big deep breaths before you dive under.

If I walk slow the girls grab my arm and sometimes my nutz. And not in an enjoyable way. Rubbing my junk slow and soft is great, but they grab fast and hard making me jump back most the time. It is not a slow soft pulling of the arm but a hard firm death grip. I was shocked at the force and number of girls that were pulling some really big guys towards their bar. What a stupid business model where guys dread walking down a street full of sexy women. Next time you go. See how many Asian customers you see drinking in the Soi 6 bars. Not many. Many walk thru the street like they are walking down a circus side show, but few stay. Most Asians (especially Koreans and Japanese) do not like this behavior. The few Asians I see seem to prefer to sit on the opposite side of the Nightwish group of bars with the calmer ladies not pulling at them.

In addition, the girls sometimes are not happy to give up their front row seating overlooking Soi 6 for customers. Some acted mildly shocked I wanted to sit front and center to watch the parade walking up and down the street versus sitting in the back of the bar. So much for "Welcaaaahhhmm". So stupid that none of the bedrooms upstairs have trash cans for used condoms. Place in tissue and throw in garbage can in the bargirls bathroom on your way out. Also, no shelves and very few hooks to hang your clothes so either had to place on the bed or on the floor.

When walking down this street I have to worry about being pick pocketed, hit in the nutz with their hand, hit in the nutz or eye when beaten with their foam beat sticks, getting my shirt possibly ripped when I try to escape their evil clutches, possibly hurting them when I use force to pry away, pissing off one aggressive girl making my escape and thus losing the ability to sexing one of other girls in the bar that I actually want, and avoiding getting hit by motos and cars. The wonder of Pattaya is the plethora of choices, and not a universally guaranteed high quality of girls and services. The reason there are so many choices of venue types and sub-types is that each has it's own customer base. "One man's trash is another man's treasure", as the saying goes. So I am also puzzled why you would stick to one place instead of exploring the other ones. 2 weeks would be barely enough to try out enough places to conclude there is nothing in town to your liking!

Personally, I don't see any allure in Soi 6. Last time I was there, the girls were young, but pretty ugly. I can find a lot of 30-35 year-old women in town who are more physically attractive! Plus, younger girls (especially the hot ones) tend to be much more disinterested, moody and laser-focused on fleecing you, without necessarily making you happy along the way. And the service was industrial-level mechanical!

".Post Songkran, wait times for Bolt are very reasonable. But traffic is still terrible, probably due to Chinese tour buses, but also population growth in Pattaya.

If all you are doing is hanging out in the tourist district of central Pattaya, there is no reason to worry about space on the Baht Bus. If fact, there is never a reason to worry about space on the Baht Bus. If it is full you just wait for the next one. But head into greater Pattaya during high season and you will experience what I have described in previous posts about the having Baht Busses pass you because they are packed with people.

Bolt is great. Door to door service. Comfortable. Of course if you cannot afford to use it stick with the Baht Bus. I have never paid more than 200 THB for a ride to my destination via Bolt. During my time in Pattaya, the cost difference between the Baht Bus and Bolt has never been a concern or worry of mine. When I am loaded down with packages (because of a shopping spree where I am getting respect for my cards like in the movie Pretty Woman) after shopping with my Thai girl, it makes sense not to pile onto the Bath Bus. Someone mentioned it is hot in Pattaya now. They were right.

Right now I am spending time in Pattaya, having some fun. My trip is all about sex, and partying! And by "partying" I mean drinking and fooling around with girls, especially in gogos and night-time GCs, rather than clubbing. I noticed, that regardless of venue, all the costs of my drink (70-100 or 150) and LDs (140-220) are roughly the same everywhere. What's more, there is no logic in these differences: often an LD in a run-down beer bar will be more expensive than in an up-scale gogo. This leads me to always wonder "what will I get out of this" when I get asked for a drink by a girl I just met 15 seconds ago. I noticed some men are pretty happy with them just sitting awkwardly with barely any conversation, but honestly, if I just want to sit next to a very hot woman, I have a few friends back home who meet this criterion (smoking!) and are always happy to have a coffee with me.

Some people will point to Ibiza, some to a deserted island, some to the mountains, and some to Pattaya. Bangkok is much more expensive and much more subdued, although the shopping malls in BKK have more hot young girls, that's true. So probably also true for the expensive gogo bars, but I didn't check them out. Most people think of PIMP Bangkok with horror, but some have expressed their lack of remorse in spending a small fortune.

So do you want to see nice-looking bikini ladies dancing and prancing? Bikini ladies who give you hugs? Or you want to see topless ladies? Naked ladies? Naked ladies who give you lap dances for lady drinks? Naked ones who ask you to DATY or finger them? What are your criteria for ladies? Only looks? Only age? Or would you like them to be at least a bit friendly? Or is being friendly the #1 criterion? For me looks are not enough for example, but I know a ton of people for whom only that matters.

In Pattaya you can't go wrong with Kink, you can get all the listed activities above (some activities only with 1 or 2 ladies). Windmill doesn't have a good moment. But honestly, planning in Thailand and Pattaya doesn't make sense. Once you start you'll know which way you want to go. Don't book your accommodation for more than 2 nights, do some reading up and that's it!

I see he's consistently complementing posters with words like "solid report! " That's great, if you do want your forum to stay alive and fresh, with new posters and members. Or do you prefer not to? There's a lot of specific info on this forum, but it's difficult to find and often a few years old. It's also pretty scarce at times for people like me, who want their insane extended holiday experiences, but without going bankrupt.

Las Vegas Agogo. I won't be a regular, but it might be just the place for you! But most of all, customer service is first-class, the waiters really make an effort to make sure you're happy, and suggest a new drink only once. They also bow their heads East Asian style, which it makes it all seem very polite. (Yes, it's too easy to guess why they do it).

TF again. Got a very nice 20-year old Lao lady, very thin and small (she might have been a few years older, but there's no telling). Spoke no English whatsoever (Google Translate works well) and seemed absolutely elated at meeting a rather fat white man well older than her. The kissing, the hugging, the smiles, the laughter, all the way to the end. After which she went to the bathroom and came back fully dressed ready to go. That was not totally unexpected, she deserves an Oscar for acting, but who cares, it was great! Another win for TF! Had she not dropped out of character after the finish line, she'd be coming back soon, perhaps for LT. TF Sweetheart ignored my messages for a day or two, all while sitting online on TF all day, but seems she wasn't having that much luck, she's interested again and probably coming back today or tomorrow.

As for the negativity that is displayed by some posters towards me, I do not understand it either. They have never taken the time to share with me or the readership in general why they have become my personal critics. But it is not important. As it is not the critic who matters. It is the men like you and me. The men in the arena. Making the effort to share quality intelligence.

I can see that you like to party the same way I do. I appreciate the details you give for each venue and I learn a lot as this is my first visit to Thailand and I am new poster. LOL!

Right now I am spending time in Pattaya, having some fun. My trip is all about sex, and partying! And by "partying" I mean drinking and fooling around with girls, especially in gogos and night-time GCs, rather than clubbing. I don't mind some dancing, if that gets the party started, I'm just a bit too old and a bit too fat for that (though not by much).

I noticed, that regardless of venue, all the costs of my drink (70-100 or 150) and LDs (140-220) are roughly the same everywhere. What's more, there is no logic in these differences: often an LD in a run-down beer bar will be more expensive than in an up-scale gogo. This leads me to always wonder "what will I get out of this" when I get asked for a drink by a girl I just met 15 seconds ago. I noticed some men are pretty happy with them just sitting awkwardly with barely any conversation, but honestly, if I just want to sit next to a very hot woman, I have a few friends back home who meet this criterion (smoking!) and are always happy to have a coffee with me.

Now, I don't expect an immediate BJ or heavy petting from the girls: if they sit on my lap and laugh, or wrestle and hug me a bit, or jokingly dry hump me, or just have an interesting conversation, I'm fine with that! I'm always hoping for a mini-sales pitch from a lady, one I usually don't get.


To my surprise, the most value for money (VFM) seem to be some of the gogos, the night-time "party" GCs, and BJ-focused GCs. Some of these ladies really work hard! And worse VFM? Beer bars (both for LDs and bar fines). To the extent I think we should stop considering beer bar girls as sex workers. Perhaps I'm a bit too disappointed, but those are consistently negative experiences.I cannot speak to many experiences personally, but each and every time I have sat down with a girl at a beer bar, bought her a drink, felt her up, had a conversation with her, then bar fined her I have had a positive experience. It is not my first choice. But focus on the girls who choose me. If I am walking by and a girl catches my eye and gives me a "come hither" look I am going to investigate. So, far things have worked out in my favor. But as one particular critic has pointed out "I am one of those guys. ". Yes, I focus first on chemistry and not on looks or price. I do not have a problem going with a girl I do not find "model" stunning if she wins me over with her personalty during conversation. This method has worked for me in the past and has continues to work for me.

To finish up, I'll throw some positive recommendations:


1) Kink! I've been here perhaps 5 times. The girls have different skill sets, from acrobatics, dancing, to the more explicit that I highly value. But it's always fun! OK, so I see there is some competition and perhaps even conflict between some of the users, but I don't plan to take sides. I'm just here to write about my own experiences and to pass answers to questions that I asked myself recently, and that I feel can be helpful to others. I won't be posting detailed stream-of-consciousness what-I-did-today stories, I'll try to extract and group information together by subject, so it's more of a compendium of sorts, or just random short recommendations. For people like me.

So today is about Pattaya's gogos. I was curious what the differences are and why I should go to venue X vs venue Z. I mentioned liking Kink and having been a fan of Windmill, but what about all the rest? I focused on LK and the wider Buakhao area, as opposed to Walking Street, which is known for now being a focal point for families on holidays, men who have never been to gogos etc. Although to be fair, the ones in WS are so numerous, they can't all be just tourist attractions!

Throughout a week or so, at around 9:30 PM (sometimes slightly later), I would visit one or two gogos to start the evening, drink a beer, perhaps buy a lady drink, have a little chat and move on. So it was rare I would ask about stuff like barfining, I was interested chiefly in the entertainment. I visited: Kink, Sugar Sugar, Dolls LK, Las Vegas, Paradise, Crystal Club, and Fever in LK; Red Hot & Blue and Stunners in Buakhao; Playgirlz and Heaven Above in Boomerang and Windmill in WS. I also visited Pinup previous time around and. Katoeys Are Us, out of curiosity.

My general conclusion is that non of these clubs are bad, I would claim the differences with few exceptions, are mainly about how fully dressed the women are (all full bikini; all full bikini with 1 dancer topless. Which was the case in Crystal Club I believe; all topless), how much pressure the staff puts on you to buy drinks, and how open to having a laugh the girls are. But that might depend on your luck, time of the day etc. - you definitely want to consider coming back later if the place is empty. Feel free to do a self-guided gogo crawl, it's probably the simplest method.

So what are the exceptions, outliers and funny visits?

Kink. Obviously!

Stunners. This is my new catch. It's a very small (narrow) gogo, and located pretty far from LK, separate from all the other venues. It's essentially "the local gogo", just like you have your local shop, your local library and your local pub. The customers are in large majority living locally (mainly farang), the atmosphere is light and unofficial, the girls are chatting even when on stage, but it's in a good way, the customer doesn't feel left out. It's a low-stress atmosphere. The mamasan sat next to me and started talking, which at first made me wary, but turned out she just really wanted to know what I'd like. I didn't really tell her, but the first girl to approach me seemed pretty good looking, but most of all extremely friendly, so I bought her a drink. It was fun, so when she offered for a friend of her's to join, I agreed. The girls were very easy going, eager to please and easy to joke with, and I found ways of making the first one burst out laughing consistently absolutely every single time, at wish. What can I say, that was a lot of fun! The funniest part was when they looked at my drinks' bill (reasonable.) and they were alarmed. But that just tells you what type of customers they have.

Windmill. Two years ago I loved it even more than Kink. The girls were perhaps not as good-looking as in Kink, but they were wilder and more enthusiastic. Some would look at me as if they're just going to rape me there and then! This time around, a bit confused by the changes and the 2 Windmills, I entered the new Windmill on the left, were I was shoved (gently, but still) by staff to a table on the ground floor, before I could even look around. I got high-pressure drink requests, but there wasn't much happening, not as much as in Kink anyway. Well, I drunk up my own beer, payed and left. 
 A few days later I rolled by, this time I avoided the crowded staff in front of the "new" Windmill on the left and pointed straight to the "old" Windmill. They got the message. Anyway, I went in, and straight upstairs. There were 8 girls who forgot to put on their underwear standing on the main stage, and 2-3 more girls sitting naked in an extension of the stage. Customers close to the stage were mainly 60-year old local expat regulars, all drinking their draft beers, just 1 or 2 buying LDs, but all pretty happy. I bought an LD, got a lap dance and some touching, it was quite OK, but Kink still wins for me. At least this time around. But if you stay closer to Walking Street, might be worth a try.

Sugar Sugar. Mentioned in a previous post.

Playgirlz. I felt somewhat out of place there. It wasn't too crowded, but I was actually told twice "you can't sit here" without being told where I can sit. But ah well, perhaps they were having a bad day. Anyway, I sit down, get offered the card, and the first pages are bottles of alcohol for 5000 THB etc. , before I get to the beer section at the very end. Hmm. Then there are these ladies walking around with enormous bunches of fake plastic THB bills around their necks. I've seen similar in other gogos, but these were much larger. It was all screaming, at least to me: spend all the money you have. Yes, I know that's their brand, and I went out of curiosity, I can even imagine customers who will want to throw around that cash! But honestly, I was hoping for something more eccentric, like (fake) pearls everywhere, gold paint, some sort of throne and crown for the big spender. Perhaps something more gangsta, like in 50 Cent's PIMP music video! Either way, curiosity satisfied.

Red Hot & Blue. Gogo / GC hybrid, or that's how they market themselves. It was pretty empty, I was the 3rd or 4th customer. There was one guy, perhaps Indian, who did not abandon eye contact with his phone even for a second for a good 15 minutes, and looked very sad. A roughly 55-year old white man was playing Connect-4 with a lady (in a gogo! And I think there was an Asian customer just sitting with a beer. Three ladies were prancing on a mini-stage, no eye contact with anybody. Actually, I was having a good time and giggling, because it felt a bit like a scene in a movie. Hoping to lighten up the mood, I started prancing myself, the 3 girls eventually caught on, synched with me and smiled. Even the Indian dude took eyes off his phone and started laughing, clapping and waving his arms. Yuppie! I sat down with a smile. The waitress ran up to me and asked: 3 lady drinks for the ladies? Well, no. I answered. - Oh! - answered the waitress and ladies, and they all immediately left to smoke cigarettes outside. It was still a memorable and fun visit, but not for the reasons I'd imagined. Might be more conventional fun when crowded.

Heaven Above. Supposedly a gogo / GC hybrid. Some of the girls are stunners as per reputation, yes, but most are pretty average IMHO, and I noticed one that I would rate as a 3. The girls mostly dance on the table (well, they bend their legs), which I've been told is a wonder for leg lovers, but not for me. The girls are pretty insistent about drinks. It's worth noting, that this club does have its wild enthusiasts. I'm not quite sure where that comes from, I did not notice any giggles, shenanigans, or enthusiastic conversations, mostly topless women sitting next to men and sipping on their drinks. But ah well, whatever rocks your boat! I bought a drink for one young girl, but all she did was sit next to me, nod her head and sometimes smile awkwardly, with very little conversation despite some level of English. I wasn't very happy, but indeed I should have tested the water more: my bad! So I tried switching to an older lady who kept catching eye contact with me and smiling and smiling. But somehow her enthusiasm subsided, and then she misunderstood my lady drink orders. Nothing terrible, but all together that was a bit of a mood killer. Of course I could have sorted it out with the boss, but I just felt like moving on to the next place.

Katoeys Are Us. I went there 2 years ago or so, it's a ladyboy gogo. Yes, I went there on purpose, although I have (nor had) any sexual interest in ladyboys. I don't know how things have changed since then, but if they haven't changed too much, I'd recommend a visit if you're a tourist! Just be nice, and absolutely never laugh in their faces. That's universal advice for interaction with anyone, but I just have to mention it. So preferably, go there before drinking and not drunk. The performers were very nice, no pressure whatsoever, and it was all interesting, a one-time experience that satisfied my curiosity. I even bought a LD (or LBD) for some conversation. It was quite the opposite experience of what you might think passing by certain spots in the Buakhao area. Anyone who's been to Central Pattaya must know what I'm talking about.

Pinup. Also visited 2 years ago out of curiosity, but I hear from other forums that little has changed. It's mainly a pickup spot for the hottest and most pricey stunners, visited mostly by Asian customers. It's worth buying a beer and spending 20 or 30 minutes just looking at the scene, even if you don't plan to "buy".

At the request of a bargirl, I went to Walking Street last. It was generally less busy than High Season, but still plenty of customers.

Skyfall: the quality of the ladies is less than High Season, probably the top tier has been sponsored up. There were some 50 year old granny types dancing.

Windmill 2: pretty much the same girls as the original Windmill, and the same antics. Still have old Farangs playing with the ladies, but now more Chinese customers, much younger than the Farangs, which thrills the ladies, but the Chinese don't stay long. I suspect the Chinese are looking for ladies to bring back to the home country, but they can't present Windmill ladies to Mom in China.

I had a friend who use to use the Den exclusively on his 3 week trip everyday he would have one of their girls or a repeat. Based on their general prices for girl prior to Covid in house it was customary to pick too girls fuor 90 minutes you could also book a lady overnight 10 pm till 6 am then around 4000 baht.

I use different metrics to gauge how busy Pattaya is now. One is visual observation, but another is how many ladies ping me looking for a customer. Particularly, high volume ladies, the know and who get 10,000 baht a night during High Season. When they start asking to come see me for 2000 baht, you know things are dead.

And soon, the guys who fell in love with a bar girl in January stop sending her money, and she comes looking for a customer, too.

In a week or so, I'll do an addendum to my gogo review. I have some new thoughts and new reviews, but I'll post them together. Today I'll try to answer another question I myself have had, but this one is a much tougher one.

The Question is: Which lady should I choose? Let's assume I'm somewhere between mid-30's and mid-40's, and I'm overweight (an XL, but just single X). My interests are in sex and having fun! It might not be the same as when I was 20, but I can still manage to do both pretty well.

Age and looks. The girl's age and looks are definitely very important, and that's what most people would focus on. As I pointed out with the 2 TF stories, finding young chicks who will perform well in bed is definitely possible, but that doesn't mean easy. Although I have seen a man 10 years my senior, and probably double my weight with a young girl I was very jealous of.

It's worth noting however, that some less attractive ladies really took to heart the famous 1970's slogan of a certain car rental company: "We're #2, we try harder". Very often the ladies will be surprised, or even puzzled, that I'm not there to complain about failed love, family problems or the like. When we go back to the hotel, usually things cool down. The lady will usually take an "ok, let's get past this" attitude, and the sex is usually bad. First of all, they want to get on top of me, and very quickly get tired. That's fine, I can get on top and pump away, I'm more fit than these girls give me credit for. They are often upset in the "this was not part of the plan" manner, and often after a few minutes of banging, they try to convince me I won't be able to finish. TF. My experience (not statistically significant) is that the better encounters are with TF girls rather than beer bar girls, and the former can be much hotter. And much cheaper: same price no LDs no bar fines, so you can afford to sometimes get it wrong. The key here is you should really screen the TF girls well. I focus on the ones that seem to have relatively little experience. I study the profile, the pictures, and search for any reviews out there. I'm very suspicious of any 10's, 9's and even 8's. And I do a video-connection before inviting them in, crossing off the girls who try to avoid it.

Was in Pattaya for one night, got an accommodation from Agoda it was a dump, my take is to arrive there and scout for one, average prices around 600 to 1000 bath for a nice place. Hit the walking street and came across many freelancers, many of them past their prime. , got talking to one who was cute and nice, agreed for 2500 for whole night, went around the place for minor shopping and later to the hotel, the deed was normal missionary no great effort to serve from her side. SIM. Get an Airalo eSIM card before leaving your home country. This will allow you to keep your home SIM card and still have a Thai SIM in the same phone, and you won't be loosing time in Thailand to do this. It works really well, and you'll get 5 G in most of central Pattaya. Get the Airalo app, the rest is self-explaining.

Baht Bus. The Baht Bus is still 10 THB per ride. Use the Baht Bus when travelling between Terminal 21, Soi 6, Central Pattaya, Walking Street and Jomtien Bus Station. Fast, cheap, plentiful!

Bolt. For all other far destinations use Bolt motorbikes. Install the Bolt app, and always use cash as the payment option. The rides are about 30 THB for distances such as Central Pattaya to Walking Street or Central Pattaya to Telephone Bar Club.

Exercise. Walk to places, unless you're going to a club and it's pretty far away. Do walk, especially after sundown, when it's not so hot, or when going shopping. I know most of you hate it, but some exercise is a must! And if you can't walk for 10-15 minutes, I doubt you go to the gym much.

Food 1. Try the Tops Food Hall in the basement of CentralFestival Pattaya Beach Shopping Center, open until 9 PM /10 PM. You prepay as much as you want at the cash register, and you receive a dedicated card to pay with. You can use the card for multiple days or return it and get the remaining balance in cash. Choose from about 20 different food stands at very good prices and eat calmly in an air-conditioned environment! But DO take a bunch of your own tissues, they always seem to be out, at all the tables and all the cutlery stations. Food 2. Places located more closely to Buakhow are Cheap Charlie's (Thai main dishes for about 100-120 THB), a favorite amongst local farangs, good food and I do recommend it. The outdoor food court between Tree Town and Buakhow is an all-time favorite for tourists, especially those taking their "dates" out, though it's kind of pricey, and you're more than likely to be spotted by your previous dates and get texts. And you'll sweat a lot before you're done with your meal. The Mexican joint (run by a very friendly young Indian guy) is worth a try.

Laundry. Take minimal clothing from home and use laundry centres, at around 60-70 THB per kilo of laundry. If you bring it in in the morning, it will be done by the afternoon, but otherwise it's going to take 24 h. There's also a "fast" laundry, where you can get it done in about 2-3 hours, for 130 THB (or a bit less if you bring your own detergent).

Doctor. For medical advice, I recommend Buakhouw Clinic. It's quick and cheap. I got a gentle rash, went to get it checked out anyway, better safe than sorry, especially in Pattaya. Doctor confirmed it's nothing to worry about, and I got a medical cream. In and out in 10-15 minutes, and I payed 300 THB for everything including the cream.

Viagra. If you need Viagra to keep the party going for even longer or stronger, or whatever other reason, it's officially OTC (over the counter AKA no prescription) in Thailand. Make sure you buy it from a real, licensed pharmacy, never from a dude on the street. If the place doesn't look official, or sells non-medical stuff, or it's not air-conditioned, it's not a pharmacy. You can ask for Sildenafil (which is the scientific name, Viagra is a brand) or straight away ask for Sidegra, which is the official local generic brand. It's the same medicine, the same chemical substance, no difference. Pay attention to the dosage. In the West they often sell 2 or 4 tablets x 25 MG, in Thailand they only seem to sell 4 tablets x 50 MG or 4 tablets x 100 MG. Read the leaflet! I can't give medical advice, I'm not competent, but AFAIK 100 MG is the max daily dosage, and you more than likely don't need that much, unless you know that you really do. Try 50 MG first or 25 MG brought from home, it's usually sufficient and lasts quite long. The price in Pattaya is about 200 THB for a 4 x50 MG, and 350-400 THB for 4 x100 MG.
