I can't see 78 doors in that kind of sois. 78 bars would mean 78 doors and at least 78 units.Just count the bars on the map. It looks quite accurate to me.
Don't forget that Soi 6 is about 300 to 400 meters long, and there are many small bars. And there are even some other businesses, like barbers, a weed shop, and a pharmacy.
The place seems to be filled with clients every time I passed by. In fact, every time I have tried to go in, there was no place to sit. That must say something. Either other punters don't have the same taste in ladies as you do, or they don't post all the lady's photos on their social media or advertising.It's not hard to understand why the place is packed. I highly doubt the customers going in that place are going there to barfine the women.
First of all, the women are of very low quality, mid thirty and up for almost all of them, a mix of unattractive fat and or old women like the ones we see all over Buakhao.
Secondly, the crowd going there is probably 90% old expats living on the cheap side around Buakhao, and maybe 10% of frequent visitors in Thailand who probably know better places to go and get a woman to fuck.
I've been there 3 or 4 times during my last visit in Pattaya and couldn't see a single good looking woman I would want to spend money on in that place, except maybe one slim girl covered with tattoos upstairs in their small VIP room. She is probably the one they put all over their facebook page, but she's got nothing special, and price of everything is more expensive upstairs than downstairs (customer's drink, ladydrink and barfine are more expensive), and the room is very small too, so just a few customers in and the place is already packed, and the girl is already taken of course.
The only reason that makes the place attractive is because it's free hassle and price of drinks are cheap. You can go there, enjoy the ambiance in a fresh and clean place, watching some women dancing in their bikinis (a few topless) in front of you, while your sipping your 95 baht cold Heineken and nobody come bothering you, no staff coming every 10 minutes to check your bill and look how long you've been sitting there. Conclusion, you can get a cold drink for one hour and spend only 100 baht, that's the primary reason people are going there.
About that whole Soi in general. I neglected to mention Play Girlz as one of my regular places. I have a VIP card there that gets me 20% off all purchases. I love this place because it has that go go bar exterior on the outside, but when you get in there, it's really a high class gents club. Most of the ladies are hot. I also like the shows they put on. Reminds me of the old Angel witch in nana plaza in Bangkok.Been there once around midnight 3 months ago and didn't see anything you described.

Some of the bars are still closed too, like Envy or The Pussy bar, and there are still places available in the soi.
Another thing is the bigger bars are slowly being divided in multiple bars too, so the soi has easily 80 operating bars.

I have heard some good things about Heaven Above and seen some photos of some of the ladies. There are in my opinion 3 nice ones there. About the service, I have heard it is very comparable to Club Fate which makes me very interested to try it. The girls will pretty much do anything from what I understand. Music wasn't as loud so you can actually talk. She also took off her top once upstairs so I can play with her natural BS. There were a dozen ladies upstairs. All seem older and weren't in the prescribed bikinis. Only 1 other gentleman upstairs. The VIP room had more of a gents club vibe. I guess that's what they meant by agogo and gents club hybrid. Definitely can get a bit more fun in the VIP room but not the same naughtiness as Club Fate.

I drank, talked, bought them lady drinks, took a couple upstairs, and then bar fined two. Same next night and again, 2 or 3 every night back to my hotel. If you are on a budget, maybe not for you. I was not, and only there for a week, so I was free with buying lady drinks and never wanted for company. I found the variety of girls quite satisfying. They'll rub your dick thru your pants and French kiss you openly, and anything you want upstairs. I never saw a BJ in the open downstairs. Where are your reviews of the places where YOU think the girls are attractive? Please give prices for bar fines and social sexual services. I personally would appreciate it.Almost exclusively Soi 6, prices, services are dependent on the girl. Not that they are the most attractive, but that's where I found the best mix between young age, attractiveness and price. Service is another story, but lately I had a better luck than in November 2022 for example.
I could occasionally take from gogos on Walking Street like Iron, but it's too expensive for my taste.

I occasionally enjoy beer across thai rose. Its 100% LB bar. I saw parades of koreans / asian custumers going in and out.
Thai Rose is full of LB, but I agree that Omega or Avarice doesn't have any.

1000 bars in buakhow? I have not done the math, but I bet the whole stretch of road is appr 2 km, being generous. That means a bar every 5 meters.
Whoever has been there knows there is plenty of other businesses in that road.But in thailand: an umbrella, a table 3-4 chair and a cute waitress = a bar. Same thing wtih a cute waitress and some girls hanging around a wasted pool table = a beer bar. Add a pole and ask the the girst to stand still near it without mooving and you have a gogo.

I think we can all agree that Soi 6 and Soi Bukao have tons of bars. For Soi 6, 30 is not the number. It is a least double. About Soi Bukao, I would have to say there are close to 1000, especially if you include the side streets such as Soi Made, Myth, LK, tree town and so on.

This October being October 2025 would be a more realistic time frame for you to be doing research. PATTAYA will change significantly by October 2026 Mr. E is correct. Before coming to Pattaya, one should do some basic research on pricing and get an idea of what places they would like to visit and maybe what hotel they would like to stay in. Other than that, just come find girls, have your fun and go back home. By reading the forum, you will find all of this information out. The search function can be very useful. Good luck.

This is a preference for the girl and the customer. Whatever both parties agree. However, do not trick girls or remove the condom without their consent. These girls often use fake ID, if that is uncovered and the lady turns out to be 17 or less, it could mean big trouble for you as well as the bar.

May I be so bold as to offer a slight additions to the pros and cons of Soi 6 v Gents Clubs.
Girls on Soi 6 when taken to the room. Pro - likely to be younger and prettier than Gents Clubs. Con. Will want you to pop quickly, get you out so they can hopefully line up the next punter. So if you are after optifuk. Soi 6 is better.
Taking a girl or girls to the room in Gents Clubs. Pros. Far more relaxed experience, you may well get action in the open area as stated, then move to the room where the girl will be more interested in providing good service which might even cause you to spend longer with her, or take her again on your next trip. Con. She may not be as pretty as the young speedy girls on Soi 6.
Hence. Horses for courses. If you are young, have a rapid refractory period, head to the Six for multiple pops with slim young pretty girls. If you are a bit older, to the point you may just about getting a second shot in after a decent recovery time, Gents Clubs are perfect!
Now about Bangkok. My favorite part of BKK is the local scene as you put it.

Now I have my spots like Maggie Mays, club fate, XS and Pin Up just to name a few. That's all I need. I'm not one to try new places in Patts anymore. Heaven Above is on my to do list though. Then, there are guys like me who really don't care about the cost as long as I'm having a good time and getting the experience I'm after. Don't forget about the Punjabi Prince who gets everything for free LOL.
Of course, you can always fall somewhere in between. Depending on the girl, the location, and the type of experience you're seeking, you might pay a little more or less. There's no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to pricing in Pattaya.
Experiences will also almost be the same over over Pattaya. The girls will treat you nice and give you what you want as long as you are respectful and polite. Nowadays the girls in bars are more geared towards short time encounters where freelancers are often more open to long time. Based on the "Guide" below, I took an early pass through Soi 6, around 3 pm. So early, in fact, that most of the bars weren't open yet A girl tried pulling me into a bar called Omega, and whereas I would typically brush it off and politely decline, this time I said YES. Lets not forget that the beauty part of Pattaya is that there is something out there for EVERY budget.
I've had girls coming from a short time offer me boom boom for 500 baht. Quick turnaround for them and a bargain for the punter as long as you don't mind sloppy seconds.
Most beach road girls these days can be had from 700-1200 baht.
TF girls usually start at 1000 and go up from there.
Then you have your massage parlor extras. Some you can even "bar fine" from the shop and take back to your room.
Then there is beer bars, night clubs, go go clubs, and gents clubs.
If you went buck wild in skyfall on night 1, night 2 you can get yourself a BR cutie or a TF freelancer on the cheapy cheap.
My last few trips to Pattaya have been months long excursions so I had to find a way to make my budget last me longer. It's not easy or even really feasible to drink and party every night for 4 months nor would I even want to. These are from twitter. But you have to barter the price. When I was there in July I was also asked for 2000 on soi 6 by two women. One agreed on 1500 and another on 1200. The third one was ready to go for 1000. I think I overpaid a little bit for the first two, but ok, I can live with it because it will be a long time before I go there again.

I just want to inform people about what thais pay before they go to soi 6 and think that 2000 for an average looking 30 year old or even a cute 23 year old is fully normal in Thailand. Or belive that its is inflation that has caused prices to raise. Inflation has caused a price increase in Thailand of a maximum 7 %. So from 1000 baht it should be no more than 1100. From 1000 to 2000 on soi 6 is a 100% price increase. I think people should know the prices of services paid by thais before they come to Thailand. So they know the score. A sudden urge to start considering retirement hit me a few days back, while working on my itinerary for an upcoming Indonesia trip. I booked a detour trip to Thailand to see if it's appeals as a long-term home.

What did she show you? The Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act and the Entertainment Places Act. There may have been other resources she provided. It was a while ago. She explained using the relevant sections in the Acts how prostitution in itself is not illegal. That was enough for me.
I can't remember about the other act, but the Prevention and Suppression Act was nowhere to be found on the internet back then. The attorney found it in hard copy form in the LOC and faxed it. I contacted them only to see if they had a copy, and learned that they will assist with legal research.

Business in Pattaya usually means a change of scenery from the hustle of Bangkok, and this trip was no different. A last-minute meeting called me down to Pattaya, so made the two-hour dash to get things sorted. Quick meeting and business was wrapped up.
With a little time to spare before heading back, I decided to make a strategic two-hour pit stop at Cat Flaps, one of the more out of the way gentlemen's clubs in Pattaya. Located in Pratamanak. I have never once had law enforcement overhear me making a deal with a prostitute in order for her or me to be "busted". In 99% of cases it is law enforcement parading as either side of the transaction in order to arrest someone on such charges. If law enforcement is not showing up as trying to buy sex from someone that may or may not be in the market to sell it or sell sex to someone that may or may not be in the market to buy it, then nobody would know the law had been broken. They have to develop a way to catch someone breaking or attempting to break said law, through what I do not understand is not viewed as entrapment.

And even then it will be a bust and charge for the force, age or disturbance of the peace part of it, not for the exchange of money for sex part of it. As is clearly stated in every Code and Act anybody has ever linked or posted here.

But we are still open to read and evaluate any quote or link from any legally enforceable Code, Act or Edict that shows it is illegal. However, as of this moment nobody has ever produced and posted one.

It turns out that some law firms, opinion pieces and other sources with an agenda or incentive to convince everyone that consenting adults engaging in a discrete act of exchanging sex for money is illegal in Thailand tend to add a creative spin on the actual wording or, worse, omit critical wording, in the Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act in order to create that false impression.
That is particularly so on the issue of Section 5 in the Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act, which comes closer to almost, kind of, sort of suggesting that it is illegal than anything else in the Act or the Thai Penal Code.
However, even in that case and with a maximum penalty for it being a silly 1,000 baht fine and only for the prostitute, it still doesn't quite get there in the actual wording of it:

There are highly motivated researchers here on this website who read that Title and those Sections and still get it wrong. Cops certainly can't be relied upon to get it right, no more than I know for a fact how often they get it wrong about Rules of the Road for bicycles. If these laws are not available for review, and I assure you I have tried to review everything written by the Thai Authorities on the topic, yet they are keeping that "age 20" qualifier and big secret except to inform only cops and bar-owners about it, then that kind of turns the whole concept of "ignorance of the law is no excuse" on its head; there is no way for any of us to know the law.
At this point, I have no idea where the cops and bar owner got that "age 20" qualifier regarding prostitution into their minds enough to expect anyone to pay a fine for violating it. In practice, no legal action would ever occur. As mentioned above, few bargirls are legally married. Moreover, since most bargirls support their husbands, if there were a trial, the bargirl could testify how much money she gave the husband from her customers. Big loss of face for the husband, and should effectively end the case. However, Farangs almost always lose court cases, on the basis of there would be no court case if the Farang had never come to Thailand.

There were different rates for different groups of girls. When I was there in 2015 the most expensive girls were at the furthest end from where you entered. Was in Pattaya last month (after like 6 years).
Indian population in Walking Street is like 80% or more. The 5 Indian clubs were packed. Indians have a wide spectrum of economic status and it was visible in the club. While lot of desis were just hanging around, there were quite a few that had their tables booked and had pulled in some serious eye candy girls. Indian spend power is super visible in these clubs and clearly there are loads of Thai girls and the russian (white variety).
Soi 6 - just too many out there. They were generally more calling out non-Indians but again the sheer size of Indian crowd everywhere don't think gives the thai girls to be choosy. Baht is a baht and I don't think the girls care who it comes from.
I didn't bother to even go into non-Indian friendly clubs listed here as why waste my time and money. Thai friendly was super easy and pricing was 1. 5 K baht short time. Within 30 minutes of activating TF on a week trial, I had one taking grab to meet me in my room. Darn that was so freaking easy. Service was pretty decent with GFE and both girls I had entertained talked English pretty decently.
Hilton Pattaya rooftop bar is pretty awesome and I chilled there for an evening.
Overall not a decent one. However, I did love my stay in BKK much better.

If all these things make you worry, then I suggest not going blind and sticking to the ones that you can check reports from other guys.
You might always find hidden gems if you want to try random ones without reports, but be mentally prepared to be disappointed and to lose time and money because many of them are terrible at showing up at the agreed time. The lack of any information in their profile doesn't help also, they usually leave it blank.
In other words, you might get a pretty 20 year old BBFS for 1200 baht that looks as good as the photos, but you might also get a skanky 40 yo+ that advertises as a 29 yo with a decade old photos and will rush you to cum after 5 minutes fucking.

High Season historically didn't end until Songkran is over. However, last year, Pattaya was busy right up until May 1.
There have always been empty bars in Pattaya, because the over-supply of bars matches the volume of customers.

I have my personal preferences. But unless you are master of your own time schedule many people have to take their vacation when they are able to. I personally cannot give a recommendation that Thailand should be avoided at any particular time of the year. It is just something that I don't do (avoid Thailand) and I enjoy the Thailand year round. Personally, I don't know how you cannot.

If you see a fight on the street, take a detour. Don't go walking straight into it. Also don't go walking around places like Soi 6, Boo Cow, 2nd, or BR. You can still monger with TF, BR at night, Soapies, MPs, GCs, and WS bars and clubs most if not ALL nights. Just make sure you take a Bolt to your destination instead of walking around playin the victim card. Third road and beyond are relatively safe. Plenty of bars over there and on dark side. Nakula has their own separate water fight day too. It's just those first 3 roads that have the baht buses they like to spray. Don't take a fucking baht bus. Rainy season ain't half as bad as Tourist Season. Bring an umbrella and you will have a better time. But the numbers are high every month! For example, there were almost a million more tourists visiting LOS in Feb 2024 compared to May 2024 and a total of 35.04 million international tourists in all of 2024. At the risk of being attacked on this forum, bring it on boys, it is not like there are no other viable places to go to get laid especially during Thai high season. Maybe this deluge of tourism, this scourge, is the reason so many experienced punters are saying the scene is going to shite.

Talk of weather in Thailand or in South East Asia in general is always weird to me. Sure it rains a little more in the so-called rainy 'season' and vice versa, but Thailand being the tropics is like any other tropical place in the world. It's hot. Always hot and humid. And then it'll rain once in a while, or it won't rain. That's it. That's the weather. Just have an umbrella. And when it pours, hang out somewhere for an hour or two and then the rain goes away. And then it's hot as hell again.
There's no real seasons to speak of. No where near the way we think of it here in the northern and southern latitudes with actual seasons. I've been to Thailand in August, and in December, and all year round, it was all the same to me. Hot and humid, and then it rained, and other days it didn't rain. There's no such thing as a 'cool' season anywhere in the tropics. If you think the difference between 90 degrees and 88 degrees from one night to the next is going to make any kind of difference when humidity is always around 85 percent, then you don't know real humidity.
So I say, go to Thailand whenever you want and can. Deal with the heat however you see best, prepare to sweat a bunch, and just enjoy the girls. Think of it like this, all the sweating and fucking you'll be doing, and the healthier food you'll be eating, you'll probably lose a bit of weight.

Just completed a couple weeks in Pattaya and want to pass on my thoughts for like-minded guys coming behind me. About me, although I'm now an older (over 60) guy my taste in girls hasn't changed since I was 20. I like them thin with curves - 42 to 46 kilos or 90 to 100 lbs. In Thailand I like a more northern Thai look rather than Isaan. Ten years ago I had better luck in Pattaya than all my trips the last few years. The big difference now is the huge influx of young (20 to 40 year old) Koreans. They prefer the same look in girls that I like which makes for tough competition. Most of these guys actually appear to be in their 20's.
The agogo club with the most girls of the look I like is Palace. The barfine is 2000 and it's "4000 for girl" which is ok for me on a short two week trip. But at primetime it's hard to get the girls interest with so many young Asians, both Koreans and Chinese, in the clubs. I found going from 1 am to 4 am to be a much better window. With the time change coming from the states it's not a problem staying up late. The clubs start to clear out after 1 am but some of these girls are still left behind. Maybe not the top tier but not too far behind either. XS club also has the look of girls I like.
The strategy on soi 6 is the opposite. Get out there at 5 pm to find them before they get hooked up for long time with the young Asians. You can short time them before their night really gets going.
ThaiFriendly is productive in Pattaya but not in Bangkok. Regardless of your age I would put it at 45 or lower on TF but use recent photos. Heading to Pattaya for the first time at the start of high season. I'll be there for about 3 weeks. I'the like to mix up my stay with some trips to one or two islands for 3 or 4 night trips. I'm assuming I'll need to find a girl or two to take with me if I'the like company as there probably won't be many or much of a selection on the islands themselves, is this accurate?
