Really? I was one of the first people on this forum to deploy the tactics he mentionned: being outside a gogo before or after working hours about 15 years ago.I used to say go to the Bookow market food court at 5 pm. All the LK Metro gogo chicks would be there in their pajamas getting food before work. I ask her longtime ok? She says yes. I ask her how much for her. She says 5,000 Baht. Then, I tell her it's 1,000 Baht for the bar and 4,000 Baht for you. Then, she says, "Yes, 4,000 Baht. Sorry. " Did the girl just try to overcharge me? Ok, I'm going to fuck you four times tonight for trying to overcharge me. Maybe I made a mistake saying 4,000 Baht. I have a trip to pattaya for May 3rd and I'm like a kid at the candy store again. I have a roster of a beach road freelancer, disco freelancers, and a few go-go bar girls I plan to see. Got into BKK at 4:45 this morning via ORD and HND. ANA air was great.
Awesome service and plenty of legroom even in standard economy. Was through immigration in 5 minutes, and found the bus. I was expecting first bus to leave at 7, but there was 1 at 6 am. Got 2 the moto taxi stand called grab and got to my hotel, near LK Metro less than 2 hours after leaving bkk.
Cheap hotel room (probably not guest friendly) wasn't ready at 8 am. Dropped my bags and went for breakfast. Back at 9 and they were finishing my room off. Checked me in at 930. , instead of making me wait til 1.
Cost of the bus was 143 thb. Cost of the grab 105 thb. Hotel is $18 per night, basic rooms, but comfortable. Will get out and gather impressions after I get some sleep.

On the plus side, if short, thin, cute and under 30 is your style, it might be worth a visit. No pressure while I was there. Spent 110 b for a coke and split.
Last stop was Playgirlz. Inside was fairly nice. They keep the stage loaded with girls, sometimes all topless. They also have a nice choreographed stage show. No nudity, but entertaining. Needed a shave and decided to go for the full pampering session at Sharr Barbershop. It's located on 3rd road a little south of Central Pattaya Ave. They open at 10 am and I was the first customer of the day. The girls working there are very cute.
The 90 minute package is 800 b. It includes foot massage, body massage, manicure, blowdry. Shave, facial cleansing, cucumber mask, ear cleaning, hair wash and blowdry. Ouch, watched the whole thing, and if that's the quality of women we're talking about, then the place kinda sucks. And not in the good way either.
I've been saying it since the start, the whole basic premise is kinda off. Minimum stay of 2 weeks? Far from the beaches. The talent aren't attractive. I don't know dudes. I can imagine stopping by for one night just to see what the fuss is all about, but to waste 2 whole weeks of your precious Thailand time, tsk tsk. Unless of course you lucky bastards are living in Thailand, then by all means, spend time here. But do tell us, what's it like.
Currently in Pattaya right now and enjoying every bit of it. A few observations after multiple years of going:
- The weather the past few days has been awesome for low season. Breezy, not too much rain, not too humid, far less traffic, lower prices, etc. I should've been coming to Pattaya during low season years ago.
- I was wrong for assuming walking street go-go bar girls would not be willing to meet after work or on their day off. In Pinup and Palace, none of the women I barfined were open to it but at Shark there were several women happy to meet outside of work.
- Soi 6 is a great place to hangout. The problem is you can't really evaluate each women while they're harassing you and grabbing your nuts, but if you can find a decent bar it will be fun to just have a beer and play se connect for.
- I've talked to multiple walking street gogo bar girls (and Soi 6 bar girls) and the consensus appears to be that Chinese and Taiwanese are the biggest customers. Not Koreans or Japanese.
- The fact that Pattaya sets the beach chairs and umbrellas out so you don't have to bring anything is so damn ingenious. I've been to so many beaches around the world that never did this (Spain, Hawaii, Dubai, Brazil, DR). The only issue is the harassment of endless solicitors but that's the case in any tourist destination.
- For discos, the only one worth going to right now is The Republic (ranked #90 in the world). Myst, Panda, Insomnia, 808, Lucifer, and the Indian discos suck. World House Pattaya is another high ranked disco but I haven't been to it.
- For WS go-gos, the only ones worth it are: Shark, Pinup, XS, and Palace. But as we know, the best value will always be a freelancer not a bar girl.
Overall, very happy I came to Pattaya during low season and will continue to do so moving forward.

There are many things linked to prostitution in Thailand that are illegal, including in certain cases, the act itself. As shown in ETs posts on this, pimping in illegal. Just got back from Pattaya 10 days mongering trip.

My 8 day visit to Pattaya ended Sunday. There were things which I enjoyed and things which I didn't.
Climate options are either hot and humid or raining, hot and humid. Daily heat index often exceeds 120°F, rain does make it comfortable except for the humidity. I'd recommend bringing an umbrella and hoping for rain.
There are plenty of food options, and I found them all to be enjoyable. So many expats bring their food with them. You can get pad thai right next door to a place serving bangers and mash. Prices are excellent. If street food and night markets are your thing there are plenty of options.
Getting around is easy and cheap, and it's a very walkable city. Baht buses are everywhere and Grab is quick and cheap, wait times of 2-3 minutes.
English is spoken by many. Better communication leads to better outcomes. Hotels can be found for crazy cheap prices. Drinks are also cheap, in the bars and in the stores.
My sessions, on average, were excellent. It's been since I broke up with my last girlfriend since I've had girls kiss like that. Most girls offered MSOG.
