I have been to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil many times over the last 6 years and I thought that it was heaven on earth. Thanks! Pattaya is cheap. You should not have to pay those prices in the go-gos unless you go to Alcatraz or Airport. The latter I believe is where the hottest girls are. You can negotiate to 1500 ST. Maybe even 1000 ST if it's late enough. It just depends. I suggest you go to several go-gos and see which one you like; that's what most of us did. The drinks are super cheap during happy hour (sometimes as low as 45 baht) so there's nothing to lose.
I haven't been in 6 months (I live in BKK) but personally, my favorite go-gos in Pattaya are:

This is where they take bus loads of tour groups from Korean and Chinese to see the sex shows. Yeah, Patt is the right choice for mongering. And don't worry about hitting the street. Walking Street is like Mardi Gras. Tons and tons of people, tourists, tourist police, party people. Just don't get too hammered or you will end up with a Ladyboy. Also, walking toward Walking Street, don't walk on the BEACH side of South Patt Road. Stay on the side with all the shops and malls. I say this only because you are uncomfortable but by the second night you will be walking everywhere without worries.
I am like you. I prefer 10's and I don't mind paying up. The best bet, hit SuperBaby and SuperGirl. These two places in the Original Cul-de-Sac of Old Pattaya. The center-center of Walking street have unbelievable girls. Young and beautiful.
Stick with the Go-go bars and go early. Barfine the finest girl early because they will disappear. I steer clear of take-out services and massage delievery services because you really don't know what you will get. Who is to say your taste is similar to the guy you talk to on the phone. Patt is pretty polluted these days. Don't swim in Patt Bay. Take a $0. 50 ferry out to Koh Larn for a day of swimming in clean-ish water, or go way south by taxi and swim there.
Finally, Soi 6 & 8. That area. Is intimidating at first, but in the end, it's all the same. Watch your back, don't get too drunk unless you have a mate watching your back and you will be fine. Some skanky chicks there, though.

They have a great pool/garden area to relax during the day and the breakfast buffet is very good (lots of fresh fruits, juice, western and eastern dishes). There is a private entrance from beach road into the garden area to bring your girls back at night. Just say high to the security guard as you walk in and he will smile and salute you. I think the rooms in the 4 story annex just north of the pool are best for your purposes; nice and private. Request one of those rooms. The Marriott is just a few blocks walking distance to Go Go central. Do not be apprehensive or uncomfortable. The place is totally safe like some weird cross between an adult Disneyland amusement park and Fort Lauderdale, Thai style.
In Pat, Go Go's are the way to go. Don't fight it if you want the best looking girls. I recommend What's Up A Go Go with it's amazing party ambiance but I also like Heavens Above, Super girls, Baccara and at least four or five others.
In sheer numbers and ease of access, I don't think any place in the world can top Pattaya. Good luck on your first trip to Pattaya. If I were you I would stay in the new Hilton on top of a new 7 story world class mall. You will have access to 100's of restaurants in the mall and a ton of other things to enjoy.
If you stay at the Marriott or Hilton you will have access to Baht Buses which run one way towards Walking Street on Beach Road and one way back towards your hotel on 2nd road which is only a short walk from Beach Road. You will have no trouble getting around and it is very safe. It is not too complicated getting on or off the bus. Just stick your hand out and they will stop and then ring the bell when you want to get off all for 10 Baht each trip.
Hiring a girl you do not know to show you around is a real BAD idea. Once you get here you will understand much better. From either hotel it is only 5 minutes to Walking Street where your life will change forever. You are not going to believe what you are going to see. There are 1'000's of beer bars. 100's of Go-Go and 10, 000's of Freelancers walking by.
I love it when guys write on here they want a 10 the second the come into to town and do not want to look around for them. Sorry to tell you it does NOT work that way. Part of the fun of being in Pattaya is going from bar to bar looking for a girl that you are attracted to.

Still I have a bit (but not extensive) experience of Thailand and as I said none on Pattaya.
So take this with caution!
What I meant on BKK is that it offers a wide variety of each and anything, maybe more spreaded than Pattaya, very true. But gives the chance to see a bit more the normal life thai environment (albeit still pushed by the scene when you go to areas as Nana, etc.
There is a JW Marriott right in Nana, but others hotels nearby are of not far quality.
Lots of guys go to Livingston Lodge in Soi 33 (see separate forum for that) .10 min taxi from Nana, with its own surrounding.
It includes its own Sports bar with ladies.
But as a newbie on that, as others suggested, go out and explore, for the simple reason you will have the chance to see around how the mongering scene works out.
If you stick to LL only, with all respect and with no offence it is like spending 2 days in a brothel (and LL is not one, and not meant to be one: just trying to explain how you will limit yourself to experience BKK.

the hotel is located right around the corner from soi cowboy and the skytrain & mtr rapid transit. there are plenty of taxis available 24/7. it is a modern, new, very nice 4. 5* hotel. better than the marriott, which is fine, but the location of the marriott is really good only for nana and nightclubs. i think the grand millennium overall is far better especially if you plan to go to the high end soapies. but, be sure to check out soi cowboy when you are there as well. coyboy is a miniature walking street, pattaya. baccara is a great go go. tilac and shark are worth a look see too.

You can go into one bar and they will have the best looking girls you have ever seen and then go back 2 weeks later and you will wonder if you even walked into the same place because all the girls you liked will be gone.
As for looking at stunning girls with very little chance of getting them, then hanging out at a busy BTS station on a work day in the morning or afternoon when they are going home is unreal.
However, if you are 20 to 35, can speak Thai, and have a great deal of money, and you spend a week chasing girls on the BTS you will have more beautiful girl friends than you know what to do with. I am 53 now and when I got here I was 45 and I got lucky a few times on the BTS, but it is not easy.

I've been sold on Pattaya ever since, Bangkok is cool if he had more time. If he has only 3 days. I'd say go to Pattaya stay on soi 8 (eastiny place) and prepare to have fun. He can visit the bars the on soi 6, 7 &8 during the days and hit walking street at night. Since we are talking about first times here. My first few times in BKK I had not even heard of Pattaya. Then I met a guy in the lobby of the Nana hotel who was either in the US Army or a contractor in Iraq. I asked him what he was up to. He said that he was waiting for the bus to Pattaya. I asked what that was. He told me and my wingman that it was better and cheaper than BKK. We had been to a lot of mongering destinations and so far the number one spot had been about a tie between Rio and BKK.
It still took me a few more visits before I stepped foot in Pattaya. But since I went there I have not looked back. We finally visited Manila and AC in September and we were not impressed. If you are not fucking, eating, or sleeping then there is literally nothing else to do. Plus Filipinas are shaped like a board when their clothes are removed. Since Brazil has changed so much (exchange rate being cut more than half, inflation, closing of Help Disco) it is really not even worth going to anymore. And I lived there and did some MBA studying there so that is saying a lot.
My first few times in Pattaya I stayed on Soi 8 but then I got tired of all of the noise. I moved to the All Seasons Hotel where it is very quiet. Then I stayed at a small apartment building for 500 baht/day a couple of times before getting my own room for 4,000 baht/month in a larger, almost new building. To me and my VHO Pattaya is by far the number one mongering destination on the planet. Not only because of the girls, bars, and discos, but also because there is so much else to do between sessions.
In my opinion Soi 6 is a good value. You get to choose from dozens and dozens of girls who stand outside the bars.

BunkyYeah, tried that too. But I found the girls / visitors ratio quite intimidating, felt like 50 to 1, pushing to hook me. So, I didn't feel like sitting among them, just picked the one who seemed nice and went to the hotel. Nice girl, but not hot at all, as I expected. Cheers! There are relatively few genuinely 18 years old girls without babies who now operate from Beach Road. The majority of the girls without babies who say they are 18 will actually be 17 or 16 and be operating on Beach Road because they are too young to work in the bars. The police have made operating from BR such a hassle for the girls with the nightly roundups etc that its generally not the first choice for those with other options. Those with babies / stretch marks / quite a bit older which would lead to few bar fines may decided to operate from BR to get far more customers as do those who have gone down the drugs route. It's much more difficult than it once was to get real diamonds in the rough.

This is Sabai Dee Room Body Massage. I stopped by today at 1:11 with two wingmen but it was too early. They do not open until 2pm. There was only one girl there and she was rather old. This is the cheapest soapie in Pattaya. 1500 baht.
This would be Sabailand Body Massage. It is right on the corner of 2nd Road and Soi 3 next to a disco / gogo bar. The address is 102/1 Soi 3 North Pattaya. We arrived there today at 1:20 and had sessions. There were about 10 girls in the fishbowl at this time. The damage was 1600 baht for 90 minutes. Soapies are not my thing. Once you have had one then the novelty is gone.
There is one more soapie in this vicinity. As a matter of fact, if you blink you will probably miss it, as I did today. It is called Sabai Dee Body Massage. The address is 435/52 Moo 9, Pattaya 2nd Road. Big C's address is 78/1, Moo. 9, Pattaya 2nd Road. The lot numbers look far away for some reason but it is really only a stone's throw. At 1800 baht this is the 3rd cheapest soapie in Pattaya.
The fourth soapie is Heaven which is on Sukhumvit. The address is 149/352 Moo 9 Sukhumvit Road. Going down Central Pattaya Road as if you wanted to leave Pattaya, you would take a right onto Sukhumvit. Heaven is located on the left, directly next to the 7-Eleven you see after you make the turn. Sessions here are about 2000 baht.
The fifth and only other soapie that I know of is P. P. Body Massage. It is off of 3rd Road. The address is 92/26-28 Moo 9, Soi Jirapol, Pattaya 3rd Road. It is the most expensive. This is the one that has one price for the girls with blue tags and another for the girls with red tags. They have brand new rooms in what appears to be a new four-story apartment building right across the parking lot from the main building where the fishbowl is. If you get the more expensive girl you get to use a new room. If you get the cheaper girl you have to use the old rooms in the main building.

ThanksStay away from DM airport. Too far away from Patts. If I land in BKK before 5pm I use Bell Travel service (google it) 350 baht to your hotel via bus and shared van. If I land after 5pm then I use www.pattayataxi.info. 1000 baht to your hotel directly via taxi. This includes the toll fee. The bus takes about 90 min to get to Pattaya bus terminal and then shared van to hotel. Taxi is about 90 direct to hotel

Well, after reading hundreds of pages on this great forum, I finally arrived to LOS on beginning of December, flying from EU with stop over at Delhi. First time ever in this part of world. I would say that this video is quite representative of what you are going to see in Pattaya nowadays. Exchange rates are better with the money changers in Pattaya or even the banks. Airport and hotels are usually the worst.
But the truth is, the rates are not that different anyway unless you are looking to change a huge sum of $.

Coming to this thread late but as I am very much a 3 some fan, here are my thoughts / observations.
1 Pattaya is one of the easiest places in the world to set up a 3some. In general you can think in terms of getting a discount for 2 girls (buy one get a second half price etc) as the majority of girls will see it as relatively easy money for her and her friend.
2 Apart from the genuinely bi girls most girls will be much more comfortable with their friend rather than a second random girl that you select. They key to these smaller bars is that they change by the week so Naughty girls and the Super Baby bar next to it were great Week 1, but Star and the other Super Baby were better Week 5. BTW my target market is girls that have been in town a month or less. I love being the first farang which happened several times on this trip. The key is to chat up the mamasan when you first sit down and she will usually guide you to the freshness before the wolves start sniffing. It also pays to buy these new girls a little alcohol as you are getting to know them as it loosens things up.

I also found time to golf a few times my last week and I regret not golfing more. Pattaya is truly a golfer's paradise and the courses here are top notch. The best deal is to hook up with a golf social club. The one I found was the Golden Ferrett in Pattaya New Plaza. They provide a nice breakfast, transport, prizes, and a beer upon return. They golf at a different place every day. I ended up going with them every other day my last week. St Andrews 2000 was a spectacular course. Golf map attached.

Hi mates,
I'm wondering if anybody of you experts can help me realizing this dream. Took the bus to Pattaya two days ago and picked Cake and Rain from lineup at DD. They both look more or less like their pictures, Cake is thinner than she looks and Rain has slightly longer hair and is about 5'9".
