I concur it's maddening when a girl promises long time, then invents an excuse to leave after the first fuck. It's even worse when (as here) the phone call with the bogus excuse comes before the shagging has concluded. That's why I never ever Agree to long time with a girl I pick up in a go-go bar. Last year had singles and double this last time. 2 hours with 2 cuties in their top room was about 4, 500 baht. trip to pattaya ended on the 25th. extremely busy this trip, and now in tokyo. just a few endnotes.
on the 24th had my usual breakfast of champions. 3 eggs and coffee for 60 baht. walked on soi po going towards br and stuck my hand out and found a cutie. you can see from the po pictures, quite pretty. at 19 years old, she the youngest this trip. see pictures. am always a bit reluctant to get a teen, since often they do not perform well / can't handle the pounding. no idea if she worked a massage or br, but i offered 500 baht and quickly accepted. went to the ps hotel. she performed as badly as i feared, and did not like the pounding one bit. no creativity. tried to rush me, and the usual whining. the second i paid her, ran out the door like the wind.

* most common dinner. skinless white chicken on a stick at 2 for 20 baht and two eggs for 40 baht. watch them carefully as they cook it. never "salt" or butter. undercook the eggs. overcook the chicken.
* worst meal. last evening went to secrets. overpriced. disgusting. cause of all the grease, my heart nearly exploded. perhaps many of you obese farangs would like that crap. too bad cause i usually a fan of secret's parties.
* most expensive meal. the manhattan. went with friends. my plate was 1700 baht. theirs were 500. 1000 baht more. nice change of atmosphere. great food. expensive. classy. almost like leaving the country.
* favorite meal. the fish see picture. usual dish is 200, 220, and 250 baht. have them cut off the head and tail. this one included rice, which i returned. imo there is no better dinner.
* number of french fries eaten. zero.
dental: i went to the place across tuc com. absolutely satisfied.
* cost to get teeth cleaned. 700 baht.
* cost to repair 1 filling and fix 1 cavity. 1400 baht.
in a few days leaving for philippines. angeles city. overall hate ac. shithole. corrupt to the core. damn teenage gang bangers. beggars. pollution. insanely overpriced hotels (thanks orchid and abc). kokomoz always sucked. those who know my posts know i despise the concepts of bfs and ld pressure, and yet that is pretty much all ac. have friend there who must visit, and there are ways to (quietly) avoid the bar bs. am now skimming over a few hundred pages from the ac thread on isg. but have been going to ac for over a decade now, and doubt much has changed in past three years other than the bar names. prob should do cebu instead. always liked it there.
will hopefully make an update poppers pattaya hotel guide a year from today. intelligent suggestions appreciated.

Had the chance to visit BKK and Pataya on short trip of 3 days, going for the first time so had no hands on experience, landed in the morning at BKK and drove straight to Pattaya, checked in after lunch then had a peak at the Tiffan* Sho, its good entertainment, then as suggested by a local headed to Rasputi* which is suppose to be a Massage Parlour and about 3 KM from Walking Street (or can be called Fuc*ing Street) went in and was greeted by one of the PAPASAN, they have a bar inside as you make selection of your gal for the evening you can sip in a beer, sat along the restaurant type arrangement, they have two types one with black badges and other with Red, black are expensive about 2500 baht and red for 2000 baht both for 1. 5 hr, selected a gal name nina, was taken to the counter to pay cash and get the room key, was taken to 3rd floor, got into the room, they provide room service also if you need anything to drink, ordered one but was very expensive, double than a pub, the gal closed the door and we had a sweet chat for about 15 mins and turns out she is model in BKK for Lingerie and was on call here for some time, ohh. I forgot to mention, I took the one with black badge. In the meantime she prepared the jacquzi for the wash and massage, there after we both went into the jacquzi and had spent about 20 mins where she was taking care of all of my body rubbing with bath gel and giving so called massage. There after had a very good fu*k and later had a good time chatting with her, though her english was very very limited, she was chatter box. Then got her through for a second round for 700 baht tip (I know its very expensive, but I liked her attitude and service hence I paid). Overall had a very good time, spent about 2 hrs and no problem from the PAPASAN.

certainly not the best holiday destination but for a monger that's just the paradise! marteau, mon bon homme, he was kidding about hating pattaya. i don't go to beer bars, buy lady drinks, nor bar fine either. first of all i do not drink much. the drinking that i do is usually in my room with a female. i mean i can buy a 70 cl bottle of sang som for 229 baht and other thai whiskey for less than that, versus about 150 per drink at a bar. also, there are so many women around that it really is not necessary to pay bar fines and such. for the price of 1 bar fine or 2 lady drinks you could have another lady.

Thailand's population is a young, and there is very little significant public economic development investment outside of greater Bangkok (except for possibly Chonburi & Chiang Mai). Hence, there will be a constant stream of young, tight bodied cuties from Isaan, and other rural regions, migrating to Pattaya for a long time to come. The economic pull is just too strong.

My negociating experience in Pattaya was limited to LT from the gogo and beer bars. The beer bars had a 300 barfine and the gogos 500 or 600. In my experience the beer bar girls would ask for 1500 LT. You should be able to trim that some. I helped a guy out and negociated 500 LT for him once very late in a beer bar but I only managed 1200 for myself. You should be able to get less but I did not want to keep buying drinks which would have cancelled out any negociation gain. If you enjoy drinking in the bars and take you time it will help.
In the gogos sometimes a mamasan or a girl will say that they are required to charge 2000 ST and 3000 LT. All I had to say was no and it was too much and it quickly came down. I was able to get that down to 1500 to 2000 LT. The farther away you get from Walking Street the easier it will be to get the price down. A few times the mamasan tried to collect the girl's tip in advance. Do not do that. Just say you will pay her when she leaves.

I hear you on the Rio bit. I have no plans to go back there and before Pattaya I never would have imagined saying that. I do miss the big ass and diversity and the termas but overall everything is much better and cheaper in Asia.
My negociating experience in Pattaya was limited to LT from the gogo and beer bars. The beer bars had a 300 barfine and the gogos 500 or 600. In my experience the beer bar girls would ask for 1500 LT. You should be able to trim that some. I helped a guy out and negociated 500 LT for him once very late in a beer bar but I only managed 1200 for myself. You should be able to get less but I did not want to keep buying drinks which would have cancelled out any negociation gain. If you enjoy drinking in the bars and take you time it will help.
In the gogos sometimes a mamasan or a girl will say that they are required to charge 2000 ST and 3000 LT. All I had to say was no and it was too much and it quickly came down. I was able to get that down to 1500 to 2000 LT. The farther away you get from Walking Street the easier it will be to get the price down. A few times the mamasan tried to collect the girl's tip in advance. Do not do that. Just say you will pay her when she leaves. Good Lookn Out.

You are stressing about it too much. Metered tax? I. I didn't know they existed.

Low season, but there still will be women to "meet" and places to go.
Lots of good hotel deals, both on the internet (hotels) , and walking around (smaller guesthouses). Just depends where you want to be based in terms of your activities.

No its $43 plus your time plus drinks. I had my shares of 1000 bt long timers, and let me say morning service was poor or non existent, or mood kill tricks used. I call this reasonable if the company remains service orientated and not making excuses to get out the door.
With GFC and a stinkin 20 hour flight, I expect the cash is king rule applied. In local terms nearly a weeks worth of wages. I expect them to keep the eye on the ball. If they just muddle. Many people may decide not to come.
In the low season. Bar owners are to blame. If they can't lower prices, they should jolly well up the service levels. I know one (overpriced) joint that flatly tells the girls if negative feedback received, they won't be recommended.
I explain that I expect 2 parties, and that if one party is not as good as the other, I may have to shop around.
Truthfully some gals will lie, even if they know I will only pay ST if they make an excuse to run. So I ask for a 2nd number for backup morning service if the chosen one gets cold feet. She gets to loose face by calling tag team partner.

For example, in RIO, things really center around the beaches COCOCABANA and IPANEMA. Rio is by first a URBAN CITY. And in that sense, you need to play by the rules of ANY CITY you visit (at least in USA ). That means if your a Tourist STAY IN THE TOURIST AREAS, unless YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR GOING! Some of the TERMAS (strip / fuck clubs) are off the GRID (tourist zone) and it's not wise too " venture off " if you don't know where your going. Don't worry it's not hard too get directions, but you need to BLEND in with the CITY. I. E. Don't be " sight seeing" and move with"a sense of purpose" And you"ll be allright.
With that in mind, unless your sitting in a open cafe, inside a TERMA, or eating at a restaurant, you reaaaaaally should'nt hanging ouside. Now before I go any further they GOT RESTAURANTS, TERMAS and BISTROS OPEN just a about ALL NITE in the GRID. But its not encouraged too be on the BACK STREETS during TWILIGHT HRS. (8 pm- 11-12 am.) Now between 11-12:30 ish am. Is when MOST OF US, hits the CLUBS.
Why so LATE? Some might ask. Well the SUPERSTARS don't really hit the CLUB till then anyway. And I'm SPOILED. LOL!

And I can't speak for Bangkok but as far as I'm concern (a minority) in Pattaya, the holiday isn't going anywhere and from my history the Farangs are the ones that created this mess. As far as business district I haven't seen one here because its a little here and a little there. When I ride my motorbike I made sure to wear the one with the shield. Now I'm all set.

A quick report on a one week wander down to Pattaya to see 2 mates from the old country.
I stayed at the reliable Pasadena Lodge in LK Metro and ate mainly at the small but excellent Thai place in Soi Buakhao on the same side of the road as Oasis but between there and Club Blu. I also used Marine Seafood off WS and the Beer Garden a couple of times each both places providing good quality food at reasonable prices.
I visited many Go-go bars including the new ones in LK and WS. The most disappointing to us was Alcatraz in terms of atomoshpere. Plenty of talent to choose from and something to suit most tastes could be found in all the places we went, Kiss, MASH, Office, Oasis and Papayago locally and Secrets, Peppermint, Iron Club, Casanovy and Baccara in WS.
On entering some clubs we found on some nights them virtually empty and on others quite busy there seeming to be no real pattern.
I had 3 in-call visits from 3 different girls from Dream Teen all who spent 2 hours giving JCL an early afternoon delight and relaxation. All 3 girls provided 2 pops and an agreeable massage in between.

So I am tired of Bangkok and go down to Pattaya for a few days. Rttf they say, but after reading 12 pages back on this forum I find very little of interest. First nite is Walking street and first stop Casanovy (11 pm) , a friendly place with some nude dancers and some in bikini. A place myself close to the nudies, one them looks at me repeatedly and smiles (not very common in these types of gogo-bars). I decide to come back later after having a look at some other bars. Before I go a see something shocking, a customer (Korean?) give one of the bikini dancers on stage a money-note. I cannot see (the note is flipped) if it's a 100 or a 1000 but it looks mostly like a 1000. The girl gets very happy and bends down to thank him. He says nothing and looks very serious and then he leaves the bar (not taking any girl with him). Incredible! Not strange that some girls are reluctant to leave the bar when they make big money this easy way. And the guy? Why? Lots of small beer bars where the employees stop me and grab my hand, trying to get me into their place. But I just walk on. Some of the beer bars looks ok, but I want the gogo-bars. I go into Silver Star, looks good. Then I continue up to Soi 7 and go into Silver Star 2. This place I like, the best I visit this evening. Some nice girls around and a casual atmosphere. Sois 7 and 8 can of course be recommended for their low prices and easygoing atmosphere, but surely, the girls are generally less pretty than on Walking street. The Gogo-bars often have shows with girls bathing each others.
Long walk along Beach Road up to Soi 6. (Around 10 pm) This street has lots of small places, mainly indoor beer bars, also a few gogo's. Kisskool seems to be the best of them, but not many dancers there. Parallel to Soi 6 is soi 6/1. This narrow alley seems a bit suspect, lots of very small places (some kind of "bars") , but I don't really know if which kind. At least some of them with lady-boys. Watch out in this area!
Down Beach road again. I check out Worldwide (nearby soi 8) and Tahitian Queen (nearby soi 13). Both good places with some beautiful girls, but now it's getting late and difficult to find any place to sit. Outside along the waterfront there are now some streetwalkers.

IMO LK seems to be the best alternative in Pattaya when it comes to go-go-bars taking up a middle ground between pricey Walking Street and the variable quality of sois 6, 7.8 and PL2.

I personally prefer Jomtien Beach, the next beach south of Pattaya. Very little pollution and always some nude action in the peak seasons.Yeah, I like to stay in Jomtien when in Patts. It's quiet and you can get a reasonable deal renting a condo in one of the tall buildings. Last time I had a balcony, ocean view, internet, small kitchen all for about 1000 Baht a night.
The beach isn't great but it's not too dirty. One problem last time was jellyfish.

16..30. 3.2011. Another 2 weeks in Pattaya, and it was just great. Girls very beautiful – I was in Pattaya first time in the mid 90s, and this time the market was better than ever. There were two motorbikes in the no parking zone which the cops had chained together. A few minutes later a motorbike taxi guy walked up. One of the bikes was his. The cop politely unchained it for him and chained the other one by itself. That same day another monger got a ticket for stopping past the line at a traffic signal. Those guys are something else.

If you have private medical you can get refund of $50 per scrip, but if not the next best thing is take the extra cost of a trip to Cambodia, by TG (Thai Airways) it is not that much more with a stop both ways in Bangkok. You only need stay one day and you can buy VeeTab in the pharmacies there for USD$4. 30 for 10 of 50mg pills. They are made in India for a one time Australian compnay, been using for about 5 years now, they are good, and at 50c a night, anybody can go wild.

I spent 10 days or so in Pattaya for no particular reason as it seems my destiny is more about Phuket, where I'm now.
But, certain things are easier in Pattaya and the experience was good overall.
My recommendation is always the same, hit the discos early enough for the best lookers, or late for the best deals, hit the streets (will never forget the 10 I picked-up once and could not fuck), hit beach road if you like too. My disco girls where good and funny to be with. It was memorable to tell the bouncer that he was half gay and fuck off when he grabbed my butts (thing that he actually did).
But the best sex I had with a beach road girl that I've been banging 3 or 4 days in a row. Wish I could remember her name, she kind of stays around soi 11 (or 13? By the 7-11). Staying in the Areca Lodge as we did last time, incredibly I've not been to Devils Den despite it being so close to the hotel, we kind of ignored that LK Metro area for some reason. Going to check out Mixx nightclub too as we used Insomnia for picking up girls with some mixed results.

I was thinking what if I just didn't show up to pay the ticket and just let them have the Internaitional license. What kind of system do they really have to track down people?
Thereafter I went down to Soi. 9, it was empty I told the Tourist police what happen and ask them how much was the ticket they said 400 baht for going down wrong way. It was on the board but in Thai. Next morning I went down to pay and first window I gave them the ticket and the kind told me 600 baht. I said to him sign says 400 baht. He laughed and said that isn't the infracting? I paid 600 baht moved to next window and they actually had me down in the computer and after I showed him I paid he gave me back my license. So they do keep track but do they have the time to come after you if you throw the ticket away?
Not sure but don't want to find out? May the kids go back to school and tuition is due so they will be out in force that month?

Now with my International driving license if they had any brains could easily forward my name to Immigration and if they did would easily located my address. Then as you know shit could hit the fan just to get me for more money to blackmail me on my immigration status. It could be worth 200K baht, for instance if the plane ticket is for a first class flight.

N. 2 even if you have a paper ticker lost or stolen, after reporting to the airline you *may* have some difficulty in getting a replacement, but you can be *damn sure* nobody else will be able to fly it.

My point is that there is a mix of cynicism and naivete that makes them irresistibly humorous in a dark sense. Like the pics of the poor guy defecating his carry of amphetamine pills in the prison showers. Whatever concept for human decency and pity they have here is very, very different than "ours".

OK, I agree that there is probably no such thing as a 'complete' freebee and you always end up paying something! Perhaps a Taxi, drinks or sometimes a meal, but the difference in price between a nice Thai meal for one and a meal for two is just one extra bowl of rice!
Even as a 'Normal Old Guy' it is perfectly possible to find 'civilians' in hotels, shops, café's or on the street. In fact EVERYWHERE!

I met Freeler on his last day in Pattaya and my first. Walking around, Freeler said, quite rightly, I was like a newbie, admiring legs, bums and more. And he tore up the notes he was to pay and then fatso had him done for insulting the king, who is on the baht notes. He was carted off in a utility truck police wagon, the fat tourist cop happy to have fucked up a tourist on the pretext he insulted the king.
The jet ski mafia are back to their old ways. Do not use them under any circumstances. They have outrageous rip offs going and you will most likely lose 30, 000 baht or more.
Be very careful getting into fights as the Thai scum wil all jump in and the tourist police are probably worse than the brown mafia. They make me sick: arrogant nobodies who want to be somebody.
Lots of young Russian and Israeli babes about. I am sure thyey are getting fleeced by the riff raff. Lambs to the slaughter and nothing we can do for them. The Russians (18-24 yo) are well worth a poke.
