flight and arrival.

i flew qatar airways from kuwait city to bangkok via doha. i had a smooth ride and the accommodations were nice for economy. they did have alcohol but the choices were limited to wine and heineken since they are a muslim airline. on arrival to bangkok at approximately 12:00 p. m, i went downstairs level 1 to look for the bell travel service (approximately b200). the website said that it was at gate 8, but i later learned it was right next door to gate 7 (about 50 feet away). it shared a booth with the local bus that was leaving an hour earlier and only charged b125. i left on this bus which made stops at north pattaya, central pattaya, south pattaya and jomtien. not knowing where to get off, i got off at the final stop jomtien (had i taken the bell bus, i would have been taken to my hotel by shuttle rather than looking for it on my own.) at each bus stop, there are baht bus-trucks ready to take you wherever you want, but they act as taxis and are going to want more than b10 to take you to your hotel. i walked for a few minutes up the street and then took a baht bus to soi diana. i asked around for soi bukahow and figured that i would eventually find the target regency hotel (b450 with some nice rooms) , figuring 'how big can this soi be? after learning my lesson the hard way, i found soi lk metro and saw 3som bar and guesthouse (b500 / nt). i gave up right there looking and stayed here for my trip.

3som bar.

located across mash agogo, i felt that i had a pretty nice place. the manager, lek, was pretty hot and had long, black hair which i loved. the girls were cool and there was not much hustling for drinks. the first night they had to babysit me plenty, though maybe someday i will explain the funny parts of this story further. they had a safe in room, fridge and microwave, plates and utensils, wifi and tv with the usual channels. if your bar tab exceeds b1000, you get a 10% discount if you stay there.

my only problem was my last night there, where someone pulled a spiderman from the outside rear of the building and broke into my room. they stole $400 that i had left and a cell phone. my stuff was packed because i was leaving in a few hours and i had everything pulled out of my safe already. my door was chained from the inside and lek had to break the door open to see what happened. lesson learned: wait till the last minute to pull everything out, even if you are leaving in a couple of hours. second lesson learned: they also took a t-shirt of mine but left theirs in its place (a buddhist belief that they should not leave you without something that is needed) , and though you may have great evidence that would help solve a crime in america, the police aren't coming, you won't even get thru to them on the phone, and most people do not even know how to call the police. i needed a police report for issues unrelated to the trip report, so i went to the station and got one done. the american manager consoled me a bit and i have faith that steps will be taken to minimize this in the future.

little things worth mentioning.

baht bus was easy enough at a cost of only b10. when you stay at a place that has a bar, sometimes it's worth buying a few beers and keeping them in the fridge so that you can walk downstairs holding a cold one at a good price, especially if you overspend and need to find things to come back within budget. few currency exchange places are open at night, and those that are have a worse rate than do the day places, so prepare early. tuk. com has electronics for pretty reasonable prices. i bought a camera there for under $100 that i love, so if you lose or need to upgrade something, it's worth taking a look there.

freelancer bars.

i like insomnia; it was a pretty nice place. the laser light show is pretty cool. it is extremely packed, so expect this. lucifer was a mainstay on my first trip, but i just didn't feel it this trip. you just can't stay the same old way and expect people to be excited when others are raising the bar. mixx discotec at the end of walking street really seemed like a waste of time, mostly russians and their prices were way higher than i would pay for a night out. tony's also is an arab / russian bar now, and the changes they made really changed another previously-favorite bar of mine. insomnia wins for me in the freelancer bars for environment though i did not pull anyone from them.

beer bars.

i really have the most fun at beer bars. my favorite was simon beer bar across from tony's, and in particular rolling stone 3 (it seems that most bars in both of the simon beer bars were named rolling stone for some reason!). the girls there seemed to have the most fun, and my favorite was rose, a tall, very thin, beautiful tanned, outgoing girl who i was more than happy to barfine. i also learned the importance of treating girls well, as a guy tried to barfine her while i was there, and she told him that she doesn't leave the bar. a couple hours later, she left with me. there also were some guys who came to the bar to breakdance, and though many people loved it, i felt uncomfortable as it takes my mind off of the girl and off of my surroundings: it would be the perfect time for someone to pick the pocket. also, the bar charges b5 for the bathroom, and sometimes it's a pain trying to find the coins when all you have are baht bills.

gogos.

daytime – champagne was lauded by many, but i really didn't like it at all. the girls really looked like the b team and it seemed better to just go drink at a beer bar. went to tahatian queen agogo on beach road where the girls were a little better, but i pictured it being bigger and darker, and in all actuality it was small and pretty well lit.

nighttime –

on lk metro, my favorite was submarine agogo. beer was reasonable and they gave you a free shot of sambuca or tequila walking in the door. it was cool to see walk over water to go into the place. champagne and office were ok at night, nothing to write home about, there was a waitress at office that was probably the best looking, most active girl there amongst the office group, and if i had to do over again i would have barfined her.

on walking street, my fav was silver star agogo. yes, it is more expensive when you sit at the jacuzzi, but if you have the right girls there than it is worth it. on soi 15 (?) there were two gogos that were just crazy, but in a good way, where the entertainment was everything that you want, and the sex shows made you pop wood.

i went into cavern, airport, and a few other bars that people rave about. i just didn't see anything there that was special as compared to the other gogos. the girls weren't that spectacular and the mood wasn't that special. i guess ymmv.

i did go to kittens agogo just to be able to say that i went. it's weird when you go in for the first time. i remember thinking to myself 'i hope that i choose the right side. ' i got closer to the doorway (there are two) , you see that one side says 'ladies' and the other said 'ladies with a difference. ' i immediately walked into the ladies side! the ladies were cute, the katoeys were hot (damn, why can't they be full women!). the atmosphere is very party like, and girls do not approach you unless you signal to them that you want them to approach you.

secrets.

i did stop by one day to check it out. it seems busy and the girls are outgoing. the daytime lineup wasn't the greatest and the drinks were a bit pricey, but i can see why guys like it. it's a frat house, similar to medellin mansion in colombia or sportsman's lodge in costa rica.

soi 6.

it deserves its own category as there is nothing else that compares. busy day and night, the girls are outside of the bars soliciting customers but often times once you walk in, its only you and the girl that brought you in there, so choose wisely. my favorite bar was lisa bar near beach road. the girls there change costumes daily. bee was my favorite girl on soi 6 and was from lisa bar. i still picture her in her flight attendant outfit (who needs airport agogo!) looking amazing. there are some ladyboys on soi 6, be careful. one of my buddies that i met there was walking home and had his shorts pulled down to his ankles. when he pulled them up, the ladyboys were gone with his wallet.

[CodeWord900] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord900) was pretty good. i expected a dark, dreary place but it was beautiful, fully refurbished in red everything, brightly lit. i had a good session with an older gal (33) that was new to the game, where i plowed her with drinks before going upstairs for my reward! devils den, if you know the reputation, totally lives up to its billing, as i was done the first half hour and the girls were having none of it. i really tried for the next hour, and they were awesome, but whew what a workout! bring you're a-game. club blu looks beautiful from the outside and had some of the most beautiful women in pattaya in my opinion. however, when you look at all their badges, the big word 'coyote' really kills a mood!

going home.

i got a taxi to the airport at 0300 a. m. for b1000. smooth ride at that time, and easy trip back to kuwait (and subsequently 'the shit'. why can't i be delayed returning instead of at the start of the vacation! lol)

the wingmen.

i met some great joes. laamok (pattaya addicts board owner) and his dad were great people. brian (sn?) was my wingman almost the entire trip. 2 pattaya addicts members, doodie and a guy from hawaii, whose name escapes me right now, were also good wingmen from the time we were together. one stayed at china garden, and for b500 he had an amazing place for which i hope to book someday on my return.

lessons learned not previously mentioned:

1. ensure that your cash is the new series cash (they don't take the old stuff, and had i had the $400 in new series bills rather than the old, it wouldn't have been around to get stolen.)

2. ladies love chocolate – i took 3 bags of milky way miniatures and passed them around, and they all made the extra effort to repay my extra effort.

3. baby wipes – sometimes you get sick, and when you hit the toilet a little too often, you realize how happy you are to have some with you!

4. microsoft office – i had to write something in microsoft word. don't expect any computers to have this at the internet café's, as they are mostly for email, chat, and gaming. if they do have it, realize that they probably won't have spell check.

i have some edits to make to fill in some holes for things that i forgot, and if i can get my internet speed to cooperate then pics will be forthcoming (pg, but hey, its something).

Picked up this 18-year old tall girl from Champagne go-go who I'd give an 8 (checked age on her I. The. When she left it with reception) , spoke just passable English but had good attitude. Was speaking to a fellow mongerer during breakfast and he claimed it was due to my Indian origin. I lived in India for 18 years before I left to study in Europe. Been working with multi-national company since 12 years and spend 9 out of 12 months working abroad in various places, some quite remote. I spend most of the remaining 3 months travelling and mongering, mainly in Indonesia and the Caribbean / S. America. I totally understand the Indian mindset where one is taught very early to save, however I do believe my mongering expenses on any given night easily exceed more than 70 percent of fellow mongerers of all nationalities. So it's a shame that due to some of my Indian brothers (who I admit do behave cheap and badly) , coloured guys like myself have to suffer. I have particularly noticed this kind of racial profiling in Thailand (probably because unlike Indonesia or Caribbean, I do not speak the local language, I speak decent Bahasa and Spanish). When I was in Pattaya 4 years ago, I had a similar problem in one of the go-go's (cannot remember name) , a bribe of 100 baht worked, similar problem in Phuket 2 years ago. This kind of problem has never been encountered in the Caribbean / S. America in so many visits. The clubs should be interested in who spends on drinks and pays bar fines, not on race and colour and even dressing.

I'm not sure maybe my dressing had something to do with it (T-shirt, shorts & slippers) , perhaps they have a dress code. Regarding appearance I'm 1. 72m and 75 kg in my early thirties, but I doubt that had anything to do with it. Senior members, please advise if I'm missing anything apart from the obvious stated in this message.Seems like it's the "Indian thing". You can look at a lot of previous posts on this subject. Some Indian guys have made it bad for the rest. Added to Thai racist / nationality issues. And there you have it. I have seen people of accepted groups looking like they just feel out of an asshole in some venues. But they are the "in crowd". I don't know what else to say. But as you know, baht talks. Bullshit walks. I am sure you can find many venues where you will be welcome.

Last night I had a similar problem entering Happy go-go on WS. The guys outside took a close look, I knew what was coming, so offered to pay for 2 drinks upfront. The guys outside actually apologised to me, saying that had it been any other day (other than Saturday) , they would have let me in, but the owner was inside and they could get into trouble if they let me in. I created a small scene there telling them that this kind of behaviour was ridiculous and they were all behaving strange. Then he asked me to wait while he would go in and ask the owner. I didn't have the patience to wait and walked away. He still asked me to come the next day, he would let me in. BTW I was again in T-shirt & shorts, as I refuse to wear something else, if a white guy can get in looking more shabby than myself and get in. World economic power is shifting, BRIC countries are and will be the engine of growth in the next 10-20 years, we are already seeing sharp decline in the economies of the west. If these establishments do not realize this, I'm afraid they have a lot of business to lose. I have been to numerous clubs in Jakarta, Bali, Batam, KL and Singapore and nobody even takes a second look, on the contrary you are served very well.

Anyway next entered Dollhouse go-go (already had visited 1 go-go in soi LK where the stunner refused LT, so moved on). This was probably the worst go-go I had been to. Service and quality of girls were well below average. Walked out after 1 drink. Next stop Champion go-go. Saw 2-3 fine ladies here, but the hot 18-year old from day 1 immediately recognised me and sat beside me. After another drink, barfined her, stopped at McD for take-away, then in my room. Overall good service. 1 pop at night. 1 in the morning, she was gone by noon. This girl spoke a lot, I now know everything about her family, job and future plans.

I rode by soi 7 and saw 2-3 go-go's and numerous bars with some good opportunity, may try these tonight. IMHO, WS clubs are over-rated, you can get equal or better quality in go-go's elsewhere, still to try North Pattaya. And only the WS clubs (some of them) seem to have problems with colour, never had a problem in other areas. Could be because I always notice lots of Indians & Arabs in the WS and beach road areas, I don't see many in other areas.

BTW, I work with an oil major in the oil & gas exploration industry. Spend most time away from home, most cases no weekends off, so the 3-4 month leave in the year.

Interesting reports dude. If you need a girl late at night then try clubs on walking street. Lucifers, Insomnia (go after 1 am) , Marine disco (something similar) , minx (less FL) would be worth checking and girls are usually interested in LT. Just make sure you agree on price before hand (anything from 1000-2000). Experience could be a hit or miss so try to spend some time with her in the club and get some chemistry going. I am not sure if they allow shorts and flip flops so go with jeans and t-shirt instead. Good luck.I know what you are saying, but I like to be all tucked in by 1, at which time most discos get going (just a personal thing). I also find the discotheques too dark and noisy for my liking. How many times have we fancied a girl in a nightclub and then regretted after stepping out in normal light. You can't ask her to come out to have a look, you've then ruined the chemistry. I used to have a wingman in Batam who used to enter a club with a torch, and everytime he saw something he fancied, he would point the torch on her face, ninety percent of the time she would feel insulted and walk away. This is a continuation of my report from Thailand. The first part is in the Bangkok forum, and now comes the report about my time in Pattaya.

On day four of this time in Thailand, I am heading towards Pattaya, for the rest of my holidays and some beach life. There, I stayed for the first time at the Sabai Resort (http://www.sabairesortpattaya.com). In previous years, I always stayed at the Sabai Lodge respectively the Sabai Wing, but the Resort is a bit newer, even though inside the style is quite similar. Perhaps the rooms are slightly bigger, but I am not even sure. However, the whole area is nicer and a bit newer. If you can afford, it's worthwhile to go for the Ruen Thai Paradise part. This is a more 'private' part, with all ground floor rooms and direct access to a swimming pool that is exclusively for the guests of this part of the hotel – and of course, for the guests of the guests. During the low season, they have a special promotion, and the rooms there were available for 1'850 Baht / night, instead of the 3'050 Baht during Peak season or 2'750 Baht during the High season. The whole hotel is girl-friendly, no joiner fee, and not hassle at all. They also refrain from the humiliating procedure of collecting the I'd, which is preferable for me. Each guest of the Ruen Thai Paradise part may officially bring two 'guests'. I will definitely chose the Sabai Resort again, and most likely the Ruen Thai Paradise area, where you also have free of charge WLAN Internet access. The access was not always very stable, but when I told them, the reset the router, and then it worked again.

In my opinion, the only disadvantage of the Sabai Resort is the longer distance to the beach – if you like to go there – and that (too) many baht taxis in Second Road are heading towards Naklua, rather than turning into Beach Road. This means that it is best to walk down from Second Road through Soi 3 or Soi 2 towards Beach Road and catch the baht taxi there.

In the evenings, I went to the Walking Street. I usually enjoy my dinner alone. It is cheaper and less trouble. I only eat with a girl, if we have a special relationship. Actually, once some years ago, I ignored this rule and brought a nice girl from Happy A Gogo to the Nang Nual Restaurant. We had a nice seafood dinner. But all of a sudden, she said 'hurry up, you are wasting my time, I want to go back to the bar after our boom boom'. You guess what I told her? She can go immediately and does not need to waste any time further.

Well today, after dinner, I strolled through several bars. Many of them were quite empty – almost no guests and only very few girls. However, I found then a cutie at the Happy A Gogo. She must be around 21 years young and has fabulous tits. I knew immediately that I wanted her. After she finished her dancing, she came to me, and after a drink, it was clear that she is going to accompany me. We took the baht taxi to my hotel. There, she seemed a bit tired, but the shower woke her up. She was not too much into it, though. She only wanted to give a CBJ, and then, I rather don't want it. Anyhow, compared to other places, I consider you get better value there than in some other places. Then, I did some bar hopping again. To my disappointment, one of my favorites, Club Boesché seems to be closed. I checked also on other days, but it was still closed. I am not sure whether or not it is due to the low season and whether it will ever open again. A few other impressions: Living Dolls was just average. Peppermint had little action, but a few cuties. Shark Club on top of Soi Diamond has a few cuties, but some of them are very young. I had one of 19 years only, and her performance was pretty poor, so I kept it ST. More and more bars have now the 'bathtub show' with girls enjoying themselves under the shower or in a bathtub or similar. Topless is the standard in both, Bangkok NEP and Pattaya. In some places (more often in Pattaya) you find full nude. And one of the 'wildest' bars is definitely Windmills, a bit behind in Soi Diamond. They also have the girl-on-girl show, and if you are lucky, you get involved. I was lucky. So, I could give the two girls on stage an intensive DATY – with all the spectators around. Then, one of them grabbed the banana. I put it into my mouth and did her with the banana. Pretty amazing feeling for me (and perhaps for her). After that, I took banana into my hand and did her doggy with the banana. I had the impression that she even enjoyed! Not too bad for a small tip of 100 Baht, which she gladly accepted.

Since my last visit, perhaps 2 ½ years ago, there are also a number of new bars, like the Baccarat, the Fahrenheit, Iron, the Alcatraz, etc. Not all are really my style. I prefer the older style, where the girls dance on a small stage and you are close, very close to them. Many of the new bars are more anonymous, and there is less 'contact' with the girls, which means – in my opinion &8722; less fun. Nevertheless, one of the newer ones is still one of my favorites, the Airport Club in Walking Street. They have some 'bathtub' girls, and some of them are quite pretty. Similar applies to the Iron Club.

One of the new clubs, however, I started to like is the Fahrenheit. Actually, on my last day, I picked a cutie there, and I regret that I did not find her earlier. I trust, we would have spent a few days together. So I look forward to doing this when I am back in town. In Fahrenheit, I also had seen a few days before a totally stunning girl. She has an absolutely perfect body, huge and perfectly shaped tits and a beautiful face. In my impression they are higher than at the Nang Nual. On some other days, I tried the 'J' Noy Seafood Restaurant, which claims to celebrate the 55th anniversary. The food was good, but I did not have the impression of particularly favorable 'anniversary' prices. On another day, I tried the Food Fair Seafood restaurant. The service was average and the food taste as well. So, I believe I will stick to the Nang Nual in future.

A few words about girl's prices. Most of them charge 2'000 for ST and 3'000 for LT. This is mostly standard in all the gogo bars. A few exceptions charge only 1'500 for ST and 2'500 for LT (for instance some girls in the Shark Club above Soi Diamond). These prices are more or less equal in Bangkok and Pattaya. However, they all have had a child or children and, hence, their bodies are not so perfect anymore. However, they tend to be much more decent usually speak some acceptable English. I experienced that some of them are the hottest girls in bed that I ever met in Pattaya. Really wild.

The FLB Bar is yet another bar, where you may relax and play some games, listening to background music and regularly also live music. Again, the girls might not be the prettiest or the youngest in town, but they tend to be rather decent. Not all speak English very well, however. Talking about all the wild nights, I should not forget that this takes a toll. I normally am a bit exhausted, after 4 or 5 nights. Then, I am glad that there is something like Cialis. For those who are also interested: it's very easy to obtain in Pattaya, without any prescription. However, I normally buy the India-made replacement 'Apcalis'. So far, I had exactly the same effect, for far less money spent. One box (4 pills) sells for 500 baht (which is still a bit expensive). If you buy larger quantities, they need to order (takes 15 to 30 minutes until arrival) , but then you get it down to 300 baht per box. Perhaps, you might even negotiate further down. And where do you get it? There is a small pharmacy ('Bee Pharmacy') , just near the corner of the Beach Road, where the Walking Street begins. It is only about 20m from the beginning of the Walking Street, just adjacent to the Bamboo Entertainment, on the side closer to Walking Street.

Yes, and one other thing I should not forget to mention. Due to the season in July, almost every evening or night there was some rainfall. Usually, the rain was very strong but did not last for too long.

I know what you are saying, but I like to be all tucked in by 1, at which time most discos get going (just a personal thing). I also find the discotheques too dark and noisy for my liking. I stayed for the first time at the Sabai Resort. In previous years, I always stayed at the Sabai Lodge respectively the Sabai Wing, but the Resort is a bit newer, even though inside the style is quite similar. It's worthwhile to go for the Ruen Thai Paradise part. This is a more 'private' part, with all ground floor rooms and direct access to a swimming pool that is exclusively for the guests of this part of the hotel – and of course, for the guests of the guests. The only disadvantage of the Sabai Resort is the longer distance to the beach – if you like to go there – and that (too) many baht taxis in Second Road are heading towards Naklua, rather than turning into Beach Road. This means that it is best to walk down from Second Road through Soi 3 or Soi 2 towards Beach Road and catch the baht taxi there.Sabai Resort looks nice. I particularly like its pool area, but the hotel is too far from walking street for me. I will usually walk up Beach Road that way every morning to get some exercise. At night I want to be much closer to the action so I can walk back to my hotel with my girl of the evening. Still it is a hotel worth considering.


We had a nice seafood dinner Nang Nual Restaurant. I believe I will stick to the Nang Nual in futureNang Nual is probably the best of the big seaside tourist restaurants on Walking Street. I can't say the food is great, but not bad. I give it 3. 5* out of 5. This is one of my issues with Pattaya. The lack of really good Thai restaurants, unlike BKK, where the food is out of this world and the number of great restaurants is very large. The best Thai food I had in Pattaya was at a little soi cart place. A girl I barfined out of What's Up A Go Go took me to a place between her Go Go and Walking Street. The little soi was lined with temporary food carts, card tables, and portable chairs. I let her order and the meal was fantastic. I think the tab came to 450bt or something like that for a plate fried rice with chicken, Thai raw shrimp marinated in lime juice, and two beers. I never would have tried this place if not for her. I will definitely go back there when I visit in February.

This is a continuation of my report from Thailand. The first part is in the Bangkok forum, and now comes the report about my time in Pattaya.

On day four of this time in Thailand, I am heading towards Pattaya, for the rest of my holidays and some beach life. There, I stayed for the first time at the Sabai Resort (

). In previous years, I always stayed at the Sabai Lodge respectively the Sabai Wing, but the Resort is a bit newer, even though inside the style is quite similar. During the low season, they have a special promotion, and the rooms there were available for 1'850 Baht / night, instead of the 3'050 Baht during Peak season or 2'750 Baht during the High season. The whole hotel is girl-friendly, no joiner fee, and not hassle at all. They also refrain from the humiliating procedure of collecting the I'd, which is preferable for me. Each guest of the Ruen Thai Paradise part may officially bring two 'guests'. I will definitely chose the Sabai Resort again, and most likely the Ruen Thai Paradise area, where you also have free of charge WLAN Internet access. The access was not always very stable, but when I told them, the reset the router, and then it worked again.

But all of a sudden, she said 'hurry up, you are wasting my time, I want to go back to the bar after our boom boom'. You guess what I told her? She can go immediately and does not need to waste any time further.

Well today, after dinner, I strolled through several bars. Many of them were quite empty – almost no guests and only very few girls. However, I found then a cutie at the Happy A Gogo. She must be around 21 years young and has fabulous tits. I knew immediately that I wanted her. After she finished her dancing, she came to me, and after a drink, it was clear that she is going to accompany me. We took the baht taxi to my hotel. Shark Club on top of Soi Diamond has a few cuties, but some of them are very young. I had one of 19 years only, and her performance was pretty poor, so I kept it ST. More and more bars have now the 'bathtub show' with girls enjoying themselves under the shower or in a bathtub or similar. Topless is the standard in both, Bangkok NEP and Pattaya. In some places (more often in Pattaya) you find full nude. And one of the 'wildest' bars is definitely Windmills, a bit behind in Soi Diamond. They also have the girl-on-girl show, and if you are lucky, you get involved. I was lucky. So, I could give the two girls on stage an intensive DATY – with all the spectators around. Then, one of them grabbed the banana. I put it into my mouth and did her with the banana. Pretty amazing feeling for me (and perhaps for her). The one thing they did not have back then was a gym, do they have one now? As far as the LT prices, I've taken girls on 4 out of 5 nights from go-go's, paid 3 of them 2000 and one 1500. Sometimes they quote 2500 but very easily settle for 2000. I have discussed LT prices with at least 10 girls on this visit and all have readily agreed to come for 2000 (not including the 600 barfine). And I am quite choosy, if I don't see someone who's really hot and I fancy, I don't mind coming back alone. Yes, I found ST prices are standard 1500. Just my observation to aid fellow mongerers in any way I can.

Thought I'd just go out and enjoy myself, enter as many clubs and get sloshed, and if a real hot girl comes my way, will bring her back (Had enough sex last 4 days, so wasn't purely looking to find women for a change). Started near my hotel, soi LK, Office first, then tried Oasis, both were below average on girl quality (maybe it was still early, before 9). In Oasis, the girls are friendly and come and talk to you, service is nice, but left after 1 drink. Thought I'd hit the soi 7 & 8 bars. First Club 23, this club is quite big inside, with stage for girls to dance, few pool tables and a huge lounging area. Played few games of pool, bought a drink for a girl I liked, however rule there was barfines after midnight only, so thought I'd come back to barfine her if I found nothing else. Next Silver Star 2 go-go in soi 7, very average selection, next Sexy Girls on soi 8, even worst, finally went back to WS. Entered Sweethearts go-go. I remembered this place, I had barfined a girl from here for 3 nights during my last visit (4 years ago). The one thing I liked about this place is it plays my kind of music (60's to 90's rock) , so I had few drinks here, was enjoying myself, saw few doable girls, but I by then I knew I had too much to drink and would immediately pass out on my bed, so didn't bother. One thing I like about this place, they have absolutely no problem with colour, half of their customers were Arabs and Indians, even Indian couples were sitting there (which is rare). This is a smart owner with good business sense, I believe he's Swedish (the girl I barfined last time told me this). The owner personally shook my hand when I left and thanked me for coming. Will definitely go back.

By then it was past 1 and I noticed the discotheques filling up. Entered Insomnia, had 2 more drinks there, saw some above average girls in groups, most hot ones had company. After this, the remaining part of the night was a blur, remember entering Marine disco, it was quite empty. Passed by that Russian girl place (Polo club I think) , had a drink there, they have a lounge which says Thai models or something, sat there watching some average girls poledancing (some hot girls were with other customers, some were at a room in the back, they kept coming out to the bar, so maybe they have private / special rooms inside, was in no state to investigate). This is a continuation of my report from Thailand. The first part is in the Bangkok forum, and now comes the report about my time in Pattaya.

A few words about girl's prices. Most of them charge 2'000 for ST and 3'000 for LT. This is mostly standard in all the gogo bars. A few exceptions charge only 1'500 for ST and 2'500 for LT (for instance some girls in the Shark Club above Soi Diamond). These prices are more or less equal in Bangkok and Pattaya. In addition comes – at least for the gogo bars – the barfine of currently 600 in virtually all places. I normally don't negotiate a lot for the girl's prices. On walking street, the only places you will be stopped are Alcatraz, Fahreneit and Happy go-go, let's us all boycott these three, not worth it really, too much opportunity around. Today I entered Peppermint, Airport. Baccara, Iron Club and few more (will post full report tomorrow) , no problems at all. After all this talk about the past and present of Pattaya and what good a place it can be or can't be, I thought I'd drop in a little irrational perspective of an experience I had with a SW on Beach Road. Now, mind you, I've traveled to Pattaya for over 9 years and I too have seen it change, but nothing so drastic that can't be explained by a little shine off the apple after the newness has worn off or the fact that the sheer excitement of a first time visit just can't be matched again.

It IS getting more expensive, but I still keep coming back. Among my numerous trips, I have sometimes left feeling it is heaven on earth and other times left feeling that the place just didn't do it for me any more, but I still keep coming back.

This one experience is just one reason why I come back. With the caveat that I TOO can hardly ever find anything worth writing home about when it comes to SW's on Beach Road, but then you find this bolt of lightening in a bottle.

The two pictures (in links) are of Noi. It was a little over two years ago in 2008. I was walking on Beach Road when I came across her. RipI have had similar experiences in Bangkok and Pattaya. They simply don't care how much you can spend in these places. Apparently people such as who know how to behave in such a place are limited. Others who visit from India are majority from a different background and have a different way of acting at such places. I just returned from a weeks trip in Pattaya. Kinda agree with range for the prices for LT. It should be somewhere between 2000 and 3000. But I guess 3000 is still on the higher side. Just completed a 10-day visit to Pattaya, have reported each day in fair amount of detail in previous posts, so will only state general observations and summarize my trip. Also, where applicable, I will draw comparisons with Indonesia (where I have more often mongered) , comparing Thailand to S. America or Caribbean would not be right (I just feel the chicas there are much hotter and better looking and provide better GFE). I am only making my personal observations, some may disagree depending on their past experiences, and they have full right to do so.

The girls : Although large number of girls are available (girl to customer ratio is extremely favorable) , I have noticed very few stunners in the go-go bars or beer bars. Maybe the hottest ones are looked after by expats or regular Japs or other tourists (noticed the stunners in various places always had company). Quality of girls at go-go's is definitely not as good as you can see in the higher end malls of Bangkok or Pattaya or at the airport at times. I am quite selective, at the go-go's, maybe I was finding 7-8 hot girls out of 100, in Indonesia, although the number of girls available is far less, I believe the percentage of better looking girls is higher (maybe 7-8 out of 40). I preferred the go-go's as I believe they are cleaner places (girls are checked regularly) , you can find some gems in beer bars, but you have to look much harder. Also, almost all girls put heavy make up to look better and hide their age, there have been so many instances where a girl has looked superhot from only 10 feet, but when I took a closer look, she looked quite bad really, poor light in some places doesn't help either. So always take a close look before deciding, sometimes the girls dancing are not close enough, in that case, if you fancy a girl but are not too sure, wait for her to finish her dance and sit down, then get up and take a good close look while going to the toilet. Also, the girls sitting with other customers always look hotter, when the same girl is on her own, she doesn't look that hot (normal human behaviour / psychology) I spent the night with a girl on 8 out of 10 nights. 2 were repeats. My favourite hang-out place was Sweethearts go-go as they played my kind of music and had very friendly owner and waitresses.

Rates : I paid 2000 LT, except for the last night, where I paid 2500 (most girls will agree to this, some stunners may insist on 3000). Bar-fine is 600 in most places. 1000 at the better ones, some places barfine is 1000 till midnight then becomes 600 (in the Moon Club, barfine is 2000 till midnight, then becomes 1000). These are all go-go rates. Beer bar rates are 1500 to 2000 LT for girl and 300 barfine, although I never picked up from beer bars.

Freelancers : Many of them around, especially on beach road, they will make eye contact, some may even call out to you, however it is quite difficult to find the gems. Better looking freelancers are at the discotheques at night, I could see some cute ones, although few may not be available, as they are just a group of friends having a nice time, but no harm asking.

Weather : I was extremely lucky that it drizzled only twice for short periods when I was there (in 10 days). The day I left, and the subsequent day (yesterday) , its seems there was heavy downpour and some places were not accessible.

Soapies : Only went once to Sabai Room in North Pattaya and service was only average, cost 1800 for 1. 5 hrs (massage, soapy and one pop). Unlike 4 years ago, when I noticed some hot young girls there (even got their numbers and went out in their days off) , this time the ladies were much older and less attractive, checked out Sabailand too.

Racism : Like I've written in my posts, I was barred from entering 4 clubs (Alcatraz, Fahreneit, Happy go-go and Beach club) , despite offering to pay for 2 drinks upfront, on one occasion I even had a girl with me who I had barfined earlier, coloured folks please don't try these clubs, it will frustrate and upset you and can have a psychological affect and ruin your holiday, you can still enjoy at 90-95% of places. At Baccara, first time the guy observed if I bought a drink, after seeing me buy my drink and a lady a drink, he didn't bother me on the other occasions I went. It is sad but a fact of life. I have seen so many white guys in the last 10 days enter go-go's, take a round inside, check out all the girls and leave without buying a drink and some even misbehaving inside, I guess the percentage of Indians and Arabs doing this is more, and we coloured guys have to suffer due to the behaviour of few. These clubs don't want to check your passport, nationality, accent or behaviour, if you are not white, you will be told it's a members club and asked to leave, that too not politely. Having said that, I never found this racist attitude with any of the ladies I went out with, if you treat them well, they will reciprocate.

Food : Tried the seafood at King's and Nang Nual on WS, very good food, but expensive. Also had the seafood at the large seafood restaurant in the Arab zone, almost as good, but half the price. Most of the time ate a donner kebab outside my hotel (good value at 50 bahts) or a subway.

Hotel : Was staying at the LK Metropole in central Pattaya, wanted to stay at the newer LK Renaissance, but it was full during that time. Will post a detailed review in the LK Metropole thread.

Next visit : Will stick to Indonesia for the time being, since I know average Bahasa, which helps finding regular girls (I'm sure guys who know Thai feel the same way in Thailand). Also find Indonesian women slightly hotter (at least percentage wise). I found Pattaya too much in your face, may plan a trip to Thailand but to Phuket or Koh Samui where there are more things to do besides mongering, that too in the low season (when it is high season in Indonesia). The racism part at least for me tips things towards Indonesia, where all this is unheard of.

Some advise : If your trip is over a week, space out / plan your trip or you will burn out early with the sex and alcohol, it does takes its toll. 4-5 days in Pattaya is enough, beyond that will tire you, I was feeling drained during my last 2 days. When I monger in Indonesia, I bonk different women for 4-5 days, then go to Bali or Lombok for other activities (scuba, surfing, etc) and to relax for a week (with a girl if I really have found a nice one) , then back to Jakarta or Batam for another 4-5 days of bonking different women, then go home, that works perfectly for me.

I believe I have done my part and hope I've not missed anything useful, will report on my next holiday to Indonesia in January. Guys, thanks for your support and the invaluable info you have provided in earlier posts.

Pattaya comes close to your ideal, I think. No shortage of SW for ST in all price ranges. The beach in Pattaya is very lively, somewhat too lively for my taste, but you can always jump in a baht-bus and drive to Jomtien where the beach is much quieter and cleaner.

Regarding your Asia trip, I havn't been to Philippines, so cannot comment. For a first time visitor in Asia, I believe Thailand is much better than Indonesia, especially if you are white (girls available everywhere in Thailand and sex is more open). However, if you want better beaches and more things to do, I would recommend Phuket (there is a good balance of girls and sight-seeing). You can go through old reports on Phuket thread. And good thing is the place is big, if you prefer the loud nightlife and more women, stay at Patong, if you prefer a more quiet place, with better, cleaner beaches, stay at Karon / Kata. Place is quite scenic and beauitiful, get a bike and ride around the island, you will enjoy it. There are also a whole list of activities to do. And with me being a Cheap Charlie you know I was not going to spend money like some of the other guys were doing. No club in Bali stopped me from going in. You can buy a lot of clothes of good quality and very reasonable to low prices in Thailand provided you are of reasonable height and size.

The DR is a lot of work as a rookie to get acclimated as the culture is really right out of a movie and some Spanish is essential to really succeed but once you know your way its good as well but still always some work. In the end though, IMHO, nothing beats SE Asia.

Thanks a lot!Having been to these place a few times, I would say PI is a place to consider just because it is cheep compare to others and also very many options. However you can't expect wild maxworld experience in PI. If you interested in that Pattaya is close bet. And more so in FKK in Germany with many east euro / Russian invasion now a days. Remember cost wise, there is not much difference between a session in FKK and DD in Pattaya.

South of our country is get better and better as you travel south. Santiago Chile a desalination I started like it. DR is not my preference as it is becoming run of the mill.

Traditionally prices were about half in Pattaya compared to Phuket and Bangkok. Classically it has been 500 short and 1000 long in Pattaya, and about 1000 short and 2000 long in both Bangkok and Phuket. However nowadays the prices may be different.

But what really makes Pattaya better is the Beach Road. I used to pay 300 baht for short times there in the good old days around 2001-2003. Nowadays it is almost impossible to find anything less than 500, but the great part is there is no bar-fine. This scene will probably be eliminated very soon, so check it out before it is whipped out.

Phuket is a large island with many options. Sure if you only go once and look in a few locales you'll only find what you are not looking for. This has been previously discussed to no end on this board.

It's been a couple of years ago for me, but I went there three times. I did it on the relative cheap, even in Patong. Stayed in a guest house, drank at beer bars, and spent my mornings at massage shops. It's all there, and you just need to negotiate a bit to get what you want for the price you can pay. I did find food to be more expensive. Hard to negotiate a restaurant menu!

Sure, Pattaya is cheaper and easier for the budget minded monger. Beach Road and Soi 6 are the bargain basements of Thai pussy, but you do get what you pay for! Not that that's a bad thing, mind you.

Went to Soi 6 after arriving in Pattaya with the intention of just chilling out at one of the bars and watching the world go by, before moving on to other venues.

Arrived with my wingman and decided on Kiss Cool.

Totally disagree, just walk at Patong area at night, definitely more noisy than Pattaya, thousands of single ladies available in the bars and discotheques, many go-go's too, soi lion and soi tiger come to mind. There are beer bars, go-go bars, massage shops, etc, all around this area. You can catch a "baht bus" to Walking Street for 10 baht, too. A motorcycle taxi will take you to Soi 6 for 40 baht.

I am an Indian, very well travelled, including to LOS too.

I have personally seen entire lots of American Blacks and Indians treated exceptionally well in all of the Marriotts I have stayed at (Bangkok, Phuket, and Pattaya). In each case, the blacks / indians were well presented well educated and civil bunch. One black I talked to is a physician from North Carolina and actually owned stock in Marriott. When I doubted him. He logged into an online account (Scott Trade?) and pulled it up on his laptop. Said he only stays at Marriott hotels when he visits Thailand. That is how 'frugal' they are in my opinion but that really has no effect on a hotel stay where the rates are established so to turn them away doesn't really make sense to me.

Hygiene differs from different cultures however and It seems that daily bathing (at a minimum) and a daily dose of deodorant is more of a western contrivance and not one the rest of the world has entirely embraced including Indians. As Thai ladies are very conscience of hygiene it is no secret why the chemistry between these two cultures is strained from a P4P perspective and I think its true of other non-western cultures, that act similarly, as well with respect to P4P.

I have a bunch of friends in town and we went there last night. All of a sudden the waitress comes over and says drinks are on the house. I thought it was because we come there so much. Any suggestions?This might be too late for you, but I would just go to one of the many small KIOSKS around Pattaya the day BEFORE you're to leave and set up a pick-up at your hotel (they do it any ways). With the regular going rates (1, 000B for a taxi. 1,200B for a car, tolls INCLUDED). Make sure to leave just a partial down payment (30-50%). If you get any resistance check a few more KIOSKS, you might bump it an extra 100B or so if resistence seems universal.

Quite a few drivers are just looking to get back to Bangkok (with a PAYING CUSTOMER) after already driven somebody down the night before. They'd be happy to get an early jump on their return.

It seems to me there'd be no reason not to get the regular rate. Let us know what happens.

When I wasn't there the driver called my lady's phone (we spent the night together again) and we got him directed to the right place, but if he hadn't shown up I would have had to ask the lobby for a taxi at short notice. That probably would have been more expensive than the 1, 000 Baht I paid.

Now it's around $1 = 30 baht, so it seems like prices have effectively increased 25% since then.

A little about myself, I am an Asian-American in my upper 20s. I am pretty athletic and fit. I have an easygoing attitude and I generally get along with most people as long as they're not complete assholes. I'm fluent in English, semi-fluent in Mandarin Chinese (doubtful that would help me out in Thailand though) , and I'm trying to learn as much Thai as I can before my trip. I suppose that knowing Chinese helps a little for learning Thai because it's also a tonal language and the sentence structure for both languages are simpler than it is for English. I've read reports from others saying that they had a great time even though they speak zero Thai so I'm not too worried. I just think I'll have a better time if I take some time to learn the language. A big part of it for me is not just learning how to speak the language but also to be able to understand. I would rather that the girls assume I don't understand Thai at all so they can freely express themselves and maybe I'll be able to pick up on what they're saying (in case they're saying something they don't want me to know about).

I'm hoping to be able to have the freedom to walk into any hotel to check-in but that may be wishful thinking considering that this is high season. Would you guys recommend that I make solid reservations for my time in Pattaya since it will be during high season? My research has narrowed down the Vault, the Whitehouse Condotel, and the Penthouse. The Vault is well recommended by experienced mongers and I emailed the owner, Mike, to check on the rates for high season. They seem reasonable and the owner seemed pretty cool. I don't know much about the Whitehouse Condotel but I've seen it recommended a few times and after checking out the website I like how the room and especially the bathroom look. I've read that the Penthouse can be a bit wild and in your face in the lower level rooms but I don't mind. I'm a fairly young guy looking to have a good time while holiday so that kind of atmosphere actually seems pretty attractive to me. I'm very interested in having a private in-room hot tub that can fit 2-3. I think the penthouse rooms at the Vault may have that available but I'm not sure about the other hotels. Anyone have any recommendations for other GF hotels that would have this feature? I'm trying to keep it to $150 (4500 baht) max per day for a hotel.

A bit of information for you. (Perhaps other mongers will add more answers to your questions.)

If you want to stay at a specific hotel then you should make a reservation. But, even in high season you will always be able to find a vacancy somewhere!

Whitehouse Condotel. A well run, mid range hotel in a good location. The owner is a Brit. No problems to take one girl back but if you take 2 back together then they require an extra payment.

Do not worry about speaking Thai too much. OK, a little will help you but many mongers do very well with NO Thai language skills.

If you want a Thai / English dictionary then an electronic or paperback one can be bought there for MUCH less than outside of Thailand. I think that paperback ones are available from around 200 Baht.

Re cash. I just take US$ or Euro and change as and when required. Most hotel rooms have a safe so you can keep your cash there. You will get a much better exchange rate in Thailand than outside!

It is best to reserve your credit card for hotel and restaurant payments and bring cash (dollars or euros) and use one of the many exchange offices you will see everywhere. As usual the exchange rate at the airport is not very good, so exchange only for a few thousand bath to cover your first expenses (like taxi, bus, train, perhaps some drink or food). Large bills get a better exchange rate. I brought 500 EURO bills and got quite a good rate.

Doesn't charge anything in advance and operates a very liberal cancellation policy. Consider taking a hotel in a bit quieter neigbourhood. Pattaya is rather small (at least the "interesting" part is) and everything is within easy baht-bus distance. You do not have to be in the middle of the monger area all the time. You will wear yourself out in a few days!

I will research more about rates when closer to my departure since the current rates are low season rates.Unless you are Thai, you will always have to pay the "foreigner" prices, simply because you will meet only girls who deal with foreigners. Mind however that if you bargain it down to the absolute minimum, you get a minimal service only too. Personally I could spend MONTHS in Pattaya. But not staying IN Pattaya. Since you'll be there for a couple of weeks you may consider renting a condo on a weekly basis in Jomtien. It's a bit more quiet there and the beach is nice. And the action is a short 10 minute Baht Bus ride away.

And CHEAP! I hooked up a studio on Craigslist last year for 1000 BHT a night in a beautiful new building with balcony and sea view. The memories of banging the girls over the rail of that balcony still keep me warm at night.

Soi 2, There are matches going on now in May but I'm not sure of the exact dates.When I was at Big C Xtra last week someone put a flyer on my motorbike about the Muay Thai so I decided to pay the place a visit. The tickets are 1200 baht for normal bleacher seats and 1500 baht for VIP (website says 1000 & 1200) , which consists of white plastic chairs on the floor. Caught the 2:20pm bus from Ekamai Bus station on Sukhumvit Road, hopped on a motosi taxi from the bus station to The Stag's Head on Soi LK Metro, and was enjoying a great meal by 4:45pm. After we ate, we walked over to Champagne a-Go-Go to visit with my GF's friends (she used to dance there), and watch the dancing.

What do you guys think of my plan? I know you guys suggested I stay 1 week in Bangkok and 1 week in Pattaya or split it into 2 trips but I couldn't help myself. I love the Philippines so I needed to spend a few days there and I didn't want to miss out on Pattaya on my first trip. I was also wondering on how I should get to Pattaya from my hotel and back to Bangkok after I'm done with Pattaya. In past experiences, taxi drivers didn't want to travel long distance because they would lose money to come back to their city of origin. When I googled this, it suggested I catch a long range bus from the Eastern bus terminal?

This is really no problem. Just ask any Taxi driver in BKK and offer 1000 Bhat and pay the highway fee. For the trip back from Pattaya there are many small kiosk with signs "Taxi to Bangkok". They all organize BKK Taxi drivers who brought passengers to Pattaya. Cost for going back is only 800 Bhat.

Thanks for the positive message. I love the Philippines because it only costs $700 to get their from Hawaii. That plus the hot, young, cheap girls that you can get really drunk makes it so much fun! Allright ppls, I'm heading out to Pattaya in the next two weeks, and want to scope out the boards and soak up as much from the veterens as possible. I read here that the going rate for sexual services in nearly 3000 baht, but other sites are claiming 500-1000. 500 for short time, and 1000 for long time.

A friend told me that 8USD is too much, and that a mid-class worker makes 8USD as a daily wage. He then told me that you can hire a "guard" (tour guide?) from the bank that has connections and can get you places to stay for 2USD a night!

Am about to head to Pattaya, haven't been back for about 18 months, but reading back on the forum I wanted to get a sense of price inflation which seems rampant.

My usuals:

- Beach Road: S / T 500 Bhat (I don't L / T from Beach Road)

- Beer Baar: 300 to 500 Bhat for Bar Fine, Bhat 500 S / T, Bhat 1, 000 L / T.

- Go-go: 500 to 700 Bhat for Bar Fine, Bhat 1, 000 S / T, Bhat 1, 500 to Bhat 2, 000 L / T.

In terms of go-gos, I was often pushing up against the Bhat 2, 000 for L / T on my last trip, but that was eighteen months ago. Reading back through this thread it sounds like either there has been massive price inflation, or, someone is payint too much, or, whatever.

Can I get a sound check on going rates for L / T in particular for Beer Bars and Go / Gos please? (For someone who can say saw-dee-cup, etc but doesn't speak that much Thai.)
