It had been a while for me too (5 years) when I went back to Pattaya earlier this year and I was just as afraid for this as you are. But to be honest it wasn't too bad. Most of the Russians you see there are (young) couples or families with children and they behave quite normal.

And the upside is there's a lot of eye candy: beautiful mostly blonde Russian girls who dress sexy and show (much) more of their body than the average thai girl.

The dowside is that in maybe 5 years from now the place will look more like a Russian town than a Thai town. Everywhere you go you see lots of signs, menu's, tourist information leaflets etc. in Russian (next to Thai and English). A lot of Russians don't speak English very well and are having difficulties reading it.

5 years ago I had some bad experiences with Russians and I thought back then that the Thai might kick them out of their country. Literally, LOL. You don't mess with the Thai after all.
But apparently they, or both sides, have adapted. Or the Thai are too fond of the Russian money and swallow their pride.I'm not sure about Thais swallowing their pride. It is a matter of time before they hit Pattaya. Just look at Phuket for example the Russian basically took over this place and with in the last year before the coup they were already cracking down on them and their businesses. In Pattaya there have been a number of stories in the Bangkok post and local Expat papers about crackdowns and the number of arrest for Russian shoplifters.

One thing about the Thais once they feel they are loosing control they get tough and actually do something about it. All this stuff has not gone unnoticed by the MAN, and now that he's got his puppet general in charge is starting to clean some of this stuff up that has given Thailand a bad name and guess who was the guilty party both the red and yellow shirt.

Another example is the Nigerians, they paid off the Thais to get their hookers here on some student visa, while the ladies stood right outside the police box at Nana, they claim and acted if they weren't even here until they were getting out of control and causing too many problem.

Now they are sleeping with the Chinese. They are everywhere giving them free visa and stuff because they offered to build some train system for them etc. Etc. They are all over the place up North. Now the Thais are bitching about they are too cheap and loud.

The Thai have too much pride enough pride that at times makes them stupid! This statement came from one of their own MP, who got censor after he said it.

Yes they can be sullen, boorish, and super annoying. I should know. My work has taken me to Moscow, where I now live. And frankly, the last thing I want is to see them on my hard earned vacation to the LOS.

However, I've found that its easy enough to avoid them as they seem to stick to their own Russian places (like that ridiculously moronic club by the port). Though why anyone would want to spend their vacation in the tropics slurping down borscht, listening to Russian pop, and sucking on a hookah pipe is beyond me. But to each his own. As long as they behave in a civilized manner when they visit the places I like to go to.

And the Russki lady eye candy is indeed a welcome sight (though largely off limits).

Note: I have tried to Facebook search and Google image search for the image of the girl Mo online so that I could post it here and warn fellow members to avoid her. Actually you lose money by not changing to a hard currency first. I always use my credit cards (Singapore) wherever possible. Exceptions are Indonesia (Jakarta, Bali) and Vietnam; where we will get the exchange rate as shown in xe.com.

It's been about 2-1/2 years since I was last here and I could have thought that was what I paid, maybe senility is slowly closing in LOL!! But I have been able to secure HJ's for 300 on this trip with said lady in this instance also receptive. Landed on Mon morning and bell bus got me to my hotel in good time. Hotel at sea residence and it's a real good one. Not your regular 4-5 star but right on the beach so if you want to have unprecedented view of the beach and hear the sound of the wave and while sitting in your balcony sipping singha then this is the place to go.

Now I reached before check in time and my room wasn't ready so left my bags at the reception and went Street walking on walking street. I'm excited about my potential first trip to Pattaya next month, and before I pull the trigger I was wondering. Are 5 nights good enough for a first-time visit. I'm pretty sure I could make it 3 times a day.

I'll be landing at 8 am on Thursday, so I could reasonably expect to be at Pattaya around 10 am. Anybody have a favorite place to go at that time of day?

Flying Emirates from Chicago, staying at Amari Nova Suites. Planing to get my combo Hep A /B immunization as soon as I finalize my itinerary.Wow Cowboy! This is Thailand. If you land at 8 AM, don't expect to be in Pattaya by 10 AM. It will take you at least 1 hour between landing and reaching the taxis (longer if you still have to exchange money, get a SIM-card, perhaps have a little breakfast) and then it will take you about 1. 5 hours to get to Pattaya. Then you check in the hotel, get settled, take a shower, put on fresh clothes and have some lunch (food is very important in Thailand). By that time it will already be well into the afternoon and the massage shops and Soi 6 bars will be in full swing.

You will soon learn that all this "western" planning and timing will not survive the Thai way of life. All this hurrying and running around will get you nowhere and will only make you sweaty and then the Thai girls will look down on you as a clueless newbie.

Take it easy and let the good things simply happen to you. You will see that there is so much fun in Pattaya you will need no pre-planning.

Oh, and to your question whether 5 nights is enough? You will not have made even the slightest dent in the Pattaya experience, not even if you could pop 10 times a day.

... (I'm) staying at Amari Nova Suites.First, grab a bunch of Amari Nova Suites business cards from the front desk. You'll need them to give to every Pattaya taxi bike you meet, because no one knows where Nova Suites are, or they confuse it with the big Amari Nova hotel on Beach Road. You can show them the map on the back of the business card, hope they bother to actually look, assuring yourself that you can get back to home base day or night.

Next, either turn right outside the Amari Nova Suite's lobby door and keep on walking until you reach Soi Six, or better yet get the hotel staff to run you (for free) to Soi Six on their hotel golf cart. Get off at the end of the road, cross Second, and you are at the start of the infamous Soi Six. And may God have mercy on your soul.

Want something more upscale than a cat house? OK, head up Second (you are now on Second), following the flow of traffic, and on your left you will come across Lisa Bar. It's early but you could score an early-shift hottie from the 24-hour Lisa Bar. They'll be the ones dancing behind the bar, or checking out the size of your wallet, as you walk on by. Or, if you see nothing you like, keep on going, and you will find a big Soapie right there, on the left, with a sign so big even your jet-lagged eyes can't miss it. In you go, find yourself a nice seat to view the fishbowl, and welcome to Thailand. Don't slip on the soapie tub during your exit, like some punters do.

By the way, the hospital is right next door, in case you need it during your stay. Is always good to know where the medics are, when you are going into any combat situation.

All my trips have been short ones between 3-4 days at the max, and what that does to you is leaves you wanting (and craving) for more. Pattaya does tend to make an addict out of you, barring a few nasty experiences, which as you go along you will immediately write off. My next trip I plan to be in Pattaya for a week, yet that too, I feel, will just not be enough. So what's the solution? You keep coming back.

Just keep a general list in the back of your mind of 5 or 6 recommended Walking Street Go Go's, a couple of LK Metro Go Go's, Soi 6, and Beach Road Near the Hilton as a point of reference and starting point. After a night or two on the town your list won't matter. Pattaya will blow you away. Anything can happen. Follow your bliss.

The more time you can spend in Thailand (BKK + Pattaya) the better, but 5 days is better than 4 days is better than 3 days ect and 5 days is certainly enough time to get your dick wet and have a taste of Pattaya. Warning: once you have tried BKK and Pattaya you will be hooked. Your first time is never your last time.

Recommended (but only as a starting point) On Walking Street: Sensations, Happy, Iron, and Baccara; On LK Metro: Queen Club and Show Girls; On Soi 6: Ruby Bar Club, Red Point, Nightwish, Sky Bar, and O Bar. Just go and see what happens.

Couldn't agree more with Natty Bumpo. My advice would be that you look up a good map on this site and learn the situation by heart (a little). So that at least you know where soi 6, Soi lk metro, ws, etc are. I had problems my first time, my 2nd time, 3rd. Now I am starting to figure it out.

And be warned again. I will be there in September, I was there last March. After I broke up with my GF, I intend to hire love instead of buy love. I will be back many times.

Pattaya pfffff. I don't go there if I cannot stay for at least 3 weeks, but I would go too if I had only 5 days.

I recommend Soi 13/1 for a good decent massage and the central Pattaya festival mall for good food (Fuji, Sizzler's).

I'd like to start by thanking all those who have responded to my post. Your insights have been-and will be-very helpful for this trip, which I finalized just last evening. I'll be contributing reports when I can during the trip.

Based on the recommendations, I've extended my stay a little, to 8 nights. I'll be arriving at 10:45 pm BKK on a Wed. Night and staying at Galleria 10 off Sukhumvit until Saturday, where I'll then finish the trip at Amari Nova Suites in Pattaya. Based on many reports under both threads (thanks Natty Bumpo), I concluded that skipping a stay in Bangkok would have been a mistake.

I believe I'll be stopping at Dr. BJ's first off for a 2-girl, mainly because I am a BJ fetishist. I know it's a tourist trap, but it's close to the hotel and I must say, I am fascinated with the setup. Alas, Dr. BJ's merits are to be debated on the BKK thread, I hope I haven't opened a can of worms here. But for Pattaya, I'l certainly go with the recommendations from all who mentioned specific venues.

I've extended my stay a little, to eight nights. I'll be arriving at 10:45 p.m. BKK on a Wednesday night and staying at Galleria 10 off Sukhumvit until Saturday, where I'll then finish the trip at Amari Nova Suites in Pattaya. Based on many reports I concluded that skipping a stay in Bangkok would have been a mistake.I concur that an ideal holiday features times in both Bangkok and Pattaya. But I favor a slightly different itinerary to manage jet lag and reduce travel time.

I prefer to land in Bangkok in the morning, and then go straight to Pattaya, arriving about midday. By the time I settle in the 12-hour time difference and long trip catches up to me and I'm ready for a nap. I set the alarm for, say, 1800 and enjoy my first night in Pattaya, but without going overboard. If I can get to sleep at 0200 I can usually sleep six or seven hours and wake up the next day more acclimated to the local time. (Especially if I get out in the sunlight immediately upon waking up. I recommend a little walk and then breakfast.) I still take a nap in the late afternoon the first few days, but this way I get accustomed to the local time very quickly.

I usually spend the majority of my time in Pattaya, where the laid back beach vibe suits me. I realize it's nowhere near as sophisticated as Bangkok in terms of cultural attractions, luxury retail or fine dining. But frankly, I can get all that back home. When I'm on holiday I prefer a "go-to-hell" ambiance and Pattaya just lowers my blood pressure.

At the end of my trip, however, I always spend a few days in Bangkok. By that time I'm ready for a changing of punting venue and seeing a different lineup of girls every night is just the ticket. I also like being in Bangkok on the last day of my holiday. The trip home is very long indeed, and in my view it's better to start in Bangkok than making the long drive up from Pattaya. I can usually squeeze in an early evening session, followed by some last minute packing and then a quick ride to BKK to catch a flight out around midnight.

I see that Mr. Kelly had originally planned to arrive at BKK about 0800. I would recommend he keep those flights, but go straight to Pattaya and stay however many days he thinks he needs before ending his sojourn in Bangkok. On a eight-day trip, I'd spend six in Pattaya and two in Bangkok.

Finally, as others have observe the Amari Nova Suites is a teensy bit off the beaten path. If Mr. Kelly has never been to Pattaya before I would highly recommend getting a local map. I like the Groovy Map, which is available via Amazon. I just checked mine and it definitely shows that hotel.

As an alternative to high priced Walking Street Go Go's, Soi 6 has some reasonably attractive and friendly girls for a more economic price. IMHO this is best place for budget punters and anyone who wants a little variety. The price is 700bt to 1000bt for ST and 300bt for the room plus drinks.

I agree with you, however, that Pattaya massage parlors are a big miss. The quality is not very good. Go to BKK for all your naughty massage entertainment.

I have to agree. The quality has gone way down hill on WS. But also on LK Metro, which is really sad. My advice for people visiting Pattaya:

A) look for street walkers! Some of them are extremely young and pretty. They probably get all the money themselves and they are often very sweet. You recognize them that they have makeup and are "hanging around" places. They're not only on beachroad! Beachroad is like WS an institution and the girls there are not generally all that good.

B) go to discos. Look for girls who are out with their older girlfriends, new in the game.

In regards to the girls you can still find some real gems there, I find going to Pattaya in the low-season is the best time to go for finding more good looking girls, as there are less customers booking them up and taking them away early.

After I return from the Philippines I will let you guys know what I think of the place compared to Thailand.

I don't want to contradict the CDC, but the "American" tradition of circumcision certainly predates the knowledge of its benefiits. So those benefits are just a happy coincidence and an a posteriori explanation.

And the "hygiene" aspect has always been false. There is no difference between a circumsized or an uncircumsized cock as far as hygiene is concerned. It is one piece of information I did not have with me on last years trip, and I felt at a loss without it.

I did make it to Raan Derm on Soi 22 in Bangkok and loved it.

I would be looking for similar type restaurants in Pattaya for this years trip.

You won't find haute cuisine at either place, but you will be able to chow down on a wide variety of food, both western and Thai. The dining area at the Lek Hotel is a little more exposed to the elements, so it's nice during the temperate months and you can eat poolside. The dining room at the Apex Hotel is a little more enclosed (although there is a poolside section) so it's better when it's raining. For those of you who might like to get a little work done, the Apex Hotel has free wi-fi (which can be a bit fiddly).

The night market, west side of Soi Buakaow, opposite Soi 21. This is entirely Thai food, sold from hawker stalls. You eat under a tent at long communal tables. The fare here is basic and hearty and incredibly cheap. You really have to work to spend 200 baht. I like the charcoal grilled whole fish with a salt crust. If you'd like beer, there is a 7-11 across the street. This place gets going about 1600 and for the next two hours it's packed with working girls getting a bit before a long evening. In the same vein, there are hawker stalls on the south side of Soi 15, just east of Walking Street. (About 10 meters from the Sapphire Club.) The variety isn't as good as at the night market, but the convenience can't be beat.

Pub grub at The Butcher's Arms or the Swann Pub. The former is on the east side of Soi Buakaow, about 100 meters south of the night market. The latter is on the south side of Soi 13/1 (formerly known as the Ritz Pub) between Beach Road and Second Road. The Butcher's Arms has a very comfortable dining room with proper tables and booths that's air conditioned. Excellent for when you're seeking a break from the heat and humidity. The former has a smaller al fresco dining room on a quiet soi. Both have free wi-fi and the Butcher's plays some nice 80's music.

No-Name Open Air Restaurant Near the Butcher's Arms: This place is on the west side of Soi Buakhow, but set back from the street about 30 meters, in the middle of a big vacant lot. It doesn't look like much, but give it a try for great Thai food served by a cheerful staff at low prices.

More upscale:

The lunch buffet at the Hilton Hotel dining room. A little bit spendy, but superb food. Go to the hotel's web site to the see the menu, which changes from day to day.

When you get there hop on a motorbike taxi and have him take you 7 minutes to Samae Beach for 50 baht. That is the best beach in the area (for now, because they are in the process of building boat docks right on the beach to fuck it all up.) Have the motorbike taxi return for you at 5 pm. The last boat back to Pattaya is at 6 pm. BYOB. Bring Your Own Broad.

They have live fish swimming in tanks. Unlike in other restaurants where the diner chooses a certain dish, in these places the diner chooses the actual main ingredient, which is priced according to weight. After the staff weighs the main ingredient, the diner chooses the manner of preparation and any side dishes he desires. So if the choice is prawns, for example, there umpty-eleven ways to have it prepared.

There are several of these seafood restaurants on the west side of Walking Street, some of them quite lavish. As you stroll by you can look at the amazing variety of seafood on display. The dining areas usually overlook the water. These restaurants do a good job, but they cater to tourists and they are rather expensive. You can easily spend 2000 baht per diner (especially if you let a hungry Thai girl do the ordering). For some of you Two Week Millionaires money is no object. So if you're looking to splash out, these restaurants are a good way to do it.

If you'd like the same food at much lower prices, you have several alternatives. On Soi 15, just east of Walking Street, there are a couple hawker stalls that operate on the same system. One on the north side of the street that's a little larger with its own dining area, and one on the south side that uses the communal tables. The seafood selection isn't as vast as the nearby palaces, but it's adequate. And you'll save serious money. My only complaint is that there is limited seating and sometimes at busy times you have to wait.

You can solve that problem by continuing south on Walking Street to Soi Marine. It's down at the south end, nearl the Maine Disco. (Naturally.) Go east on Soi Marine for about 50 meters and you'll come to a little open air plaza. There are two choose-which-fish-dies restaurants there. I can recommend the larger one, which has a large kitchen, big signage and a big open air dining area. They have an excellent selection of seafood there, prepared a zillion different ways, for prices that are way cheaper than the fancy competitors up the street. They sell beer, but I've never been hassled for bringing my own from the 7-11.

Finally, there are other restaurants using this concept elsewhere in town. There is a rather large place on the west side of Second Road, somewhere in the vicinity of Central Pattaya Road. I've never dined there, but it looks popular with the locals.

just sitting down to write the trip report from my last trip: aug 11-24. sorry for the delay. i did to have much time to write during the trip as it was more of a working vacation. work in the day (afternoon really. after my lady for the night left) and mongering at night. all in all it was a great trip. maybe not as wild as my trip in may (see reports) but very satisfying. though it was super low season the scene was pretty good. plenty of girls on ws and in the gogos. contrary to some reports red car (my favored hunting ground) was lively (after 12:30 am). as was i-bar (a new favorite). the overall quality of girls may have been down just a tad from may, but this could just be my impression. i still managed to hook up with some very cute girls including one sexy stunner that i haven't been able to get off my mind since i left.

i arrived in bkk from moscow 7 am monday morning. the taxi waiting for me (thanks mr virach!) 1100 baht to pattaya (actually jomtien). it was a holiday weekend so traffic was just terrible. it took over 2 hours to get to the condo where i normally stay, view talay 5 see. it was nice to see the friendly face of my landlady who takes good care of me and makes me feel right at home. even though i was super late getting in form the airport she had nothing but a big smile for me and was nice enough to accept payment in us dollars, not making me go change money right away.

i enjoy the staff and facilities at vt5 immensely and i had a great time there as always. but i am thinking of changing venues next time just to mix things up. i do prefer the peace and quiet here to the craziness of pattaya. but there no cute girls here at all. these are the kind of bar beer fugglies that bronzeman and others have been complaining about. and the beach, though nicer and cleaner than pattaya beach, really is not all that appealing. for my next trip i will try to relocate closer to the action. maybe a condo in north pattaya, in that area where honey 2 is located. it seemed a bit more quiet, but there were bars there that had some cute girls. plus this would open the opportunity for an easy quickie in the afternoon form br girls. which i kind of found myself jonesing for on occasion but with no relief in sight in jomtien.

not having slept on the plane (full of loud obnoxious russians) i was completely exhausted and decided to skip my ambitious initial plans to go for a soapy and just crash for a few hours. i awoke around 6 pm, took a cold shower to relieve my boner, did a bit of work for a few hours (this was a working vacation after all), changed some money (i found a good rate of around 31.8 to the $us at the exchange place right next to the 7-11 on thaprayya rd), did some shopping for essentials at foodland, and then headed off to crystals at soi lk metro to see if i could find the leggy waitress that had been running through my mind since last trip (see foto). we had been getting into it pretty hot and heavy (making out and her stroking my cock through my pants) last trip, but i had failed to take her. a big regret which i hoped to rectify my first night out.

As you come in front of Pattaya Tai, take the escalator up, at the top walk straight until you get to the escalator in the middle, turn right go all the way to the end where there are booths line up against the wall, you will see a sign PAO, you will see one or two guys with stacks of phone working. Tell the girl what is the problem and see if she can help you? I have gone around this floor asking before and every tough problem they tell me to go to PAO? As noted, there is a hardward store in basement as you enter to the left is a repair shop it was also recommended.

Day 6 - Saturday.

That said, I think, Pattaya is a place for bargain hunters and it is possible to find a decent lay at any price point. I personally would not pay Bangkok service rates for girls in Pattaya, not that any one mongers spending will affect the market, it's just that IMHO if it is possible to have the girl for a lesser amount it may be worth a try to offer a lower amount first and then agree somewhere in between. Although, I do tip, poor to bad service will get a nominal tip and exemplary service will fetch a very good tip from me. After all not everyone visiting Pattaya can spend like a 2 week millionaire.

IMHO, that will not put you in the category of a two week millionaire. Ringing the bell and buying rounds for the entire bar regularly will certainly be considered tip toeing on the line of the "2 week millionaire" (no definition to fall back on!)

Maybe I've been overpaying? I guess I could hold out for a better price. But paying 15-30 bucks more to ensure that the girls stays in a good mood and that the session is stellar (which almost all of mine have been) is worth it to me. Especially since I can only get out there twice a year and am only there for a short time. Wasting a time is a lot more costly for me in the long run than paying a little more.

Two times I was lucky because the performance was great. The other one was just ok (I met her at a gogo and she came over after work). She was nice, sweet, and friendly (both at night and the next day). But the service was lackluster. Maybe she was inexperienced. So paying more doesn't guarantee great performance.

In my opintion, 1000 to 1500 is the going rate. That's a good amount of money for the girl. Consider this, many shop and hotel workers here make about 15,000 Baht per month. If they work in a family mart or 7-11 they make about 10 - 12,000 baht per month. So if the girl gets 1000-1500 for 1 night, that's good money. She can work 10 to 15 days and make the same amount in those 2 weeks as someone working a whole month.

Another good one about 2-300 m up the road on Soi Lengkee. Just opened up last month.

Go up soi Diana and keep walking straight. Cross the next intersection and the street name changes to soi Lengkee. The steak place is half way down on the left.

Good location in the central part of town, with an upscale dining room. You can eat inside, or outside in a little cafe that's protected from the rain. Lots of options for those craving red meat, plus a Mexican buffet on weekend afternoons. More reviews and lots of photos here:

But the illness really slowed me down and was one of the big reasons I kept taking th saem girl all the time, not having enough energy for the hunt.

Overall August was a good time for hunting. The overall quality of girls was down a bit, as its low low season. But I did not find it to be as hot and you are much more comfortable outdoors wandering around looking for girls. I just wish that I had more days in the trip where I was up for it.

I slept in until the afternoon and woke up feeling much, much better. I was finally starting to get over this damned cold. Got some work done and then headed out to hit the town. I was feeling a wee bit of cabin fever and needed to get out of the house to interact with other humans.

I hopped a Songtaw and made it out to walking street. The plan was to go out and explore Sois 7 and 8 a little bit. I had never taken a girl form there and I remembered seeing a few lookers while I was out wandering there the night before on my way to Sabai Massage is located.

It was about 6-7 PM now, just ready to get dark and the night was just starting for the girls on the Sois. I grabbed a beer at 7-ll and strolled up and down the Soi, checking out the scene. A lot of fugglies that were well past their expiration date. But a few cuties mixed in too. Maybe 4-5 that I would consider taking.

From Soi 8 I turned into the ally that leads into Soi 7, passing the Pig and Whistle. I spotted a real cutie just outside the big beer bar that opens up out of that ally. I kept walking up and down Soi 7, nursing my beer. A curvy little cutie jumped out at me form the big beer bar complex towards the end of the Soi, on the left as you go down to BR. I got her name and copped a feel of her nice round little tiitties. But I still wasn't ready to commit to anything so I moved on. After evaluating all the other prospects on the So, I decided to go back and buy her and LD. The plan wasn't necessarily to take her as I wanted to hit up I-Bar or RC later and find and FL. However I was open to anything.

I bought and LD and we chit chatted for a while as I caressed her curvy legs and thighs. She seemed cool but the spark was king of missing, though she did compliment me on having nice eyes. I bought a couple more rounds for us, hoping that the drinks would make her come around. But I was getting tipsy too, and this was perhaps impairing my judgment. Apparently this is some kind of ritual they have to assure she is faithful to him. But she did agree to come and stay with me until midnight for 1500 Baht. The girl had kind of a bitchy little attitude and she wasn't as attractive as my first impression of her Her body was a little saggy for her 24 years. I was having serious buyer's remorse and even considered ditching her at the restaurant when I went to the bathroom. But I thought this would be a real asshole move and decided to soldier on.

Things were no better when we got to the apartment. She wouldn't kiss and instead of hanging out and warming up she was intent that we shower an start with the sex. A sure fire sign that she wanted to rush and run. The kicker was when she poked me in the stomach an said it was like jelly. I would have taken this in stride had she said it in a playful or joking way. But this girl was being mean and at this point I just wanted her to leave. I gave her 500 Baht and told her to get going. She didn't protest al that much and I was just happy to see her leave.

I can understand if she did not find me attractive and did not meant to be there But then she shouldn't have gone with me in the first place.

I wasn't ready to call it a night. I firmly believe you have to get back on the horse right away after she bucks you. It was only 9:30 PM and way too early to go anywhere. I hung out around the house in a foul mood and then set off for WS around 11:30.

Got to WS and headed to I-Bar. Not much going on there. Perhaps a bit too early. Made eye contact with a couple of girls but none was all that appealing. And after my debacle with Soi 7 girl I was feeling a bit more self-conscious about approaching girls in groups. So I bounced and headed over to true and trusty RC.

It must have been around 12:30 by now and RC was pretty lively. I saw Gaew by the bar being chatted up by some guy. They seemed to be having a good time, though she was not hugging and kissing on him like she as with me the first night we met. So I really wasn't all that jealous.

I talked to a few girls but couldn't really find anyone I wanted to take home. Problem was that they looked good form a distance, but much less so when I want up to talk to them. I eventually started chatting and dancing with a taller slim and sexy girl. She was down to go with me and I was able to negotiate 2000 for LT. But she wasn't all that affectionate --I couldn't even get a kiss from her. She was also with an older girl who seemed to be advising her on what to do.

But I understood that the girl was just doing her job and I am sure she would have preferred to go with me if I had given her the choice.

I was left with the tall slim girl, and against my better judgment took her home. In the apartment she refused to kiss saying she had a sore on her mouth. She also insisted I pay her up front and would just not let up on this issue. I was pretty fed up at this point and gave her 500 and told her to leave. The second such debacle of the evening!

It's funny really that Pattaya is a roller coaster ride for most of us. I also like the GFE and going around the bars 'interviewing' the girls costs me too much on lady drinks before I hopefully find a good one, doesn't always work though.

This next trip I will not buy a girl a drink until she has answered some questions how I want to hear. .

I woke up lonely and disappointed from the night before. I was feeling pretty low. So I IM'd Gaew to see what she was up to and apologize for ignoring her at the RC the night before. Again she was perplexed by my apology and said there was nothing to be sorry for. What a woman! We set a date for 9 PM that night. This lifted my spirits and I told her I was happy to see her again. She said she was happy too.

I did some work, tidied up and went off to see Chris, my tailor at AMA tailoring. I can't recommend the place enough. They have done some great work for me over the last two trips. I had 3 shirts and two pants done this time. All of very high quality and fitting me perfectly. And for a a very reasonable 7800 baht. Truly a great deal.

It was really good to see Chris and the gang at AMA. Over the last couple of visits we have developed a friendly rapport, laughing and joking all the time. Besides the girls I've met in Patts Chris is the closest to a real friend I have living in the city. We set a date for dinner the next day at 7 PM, right after my fitting at the shop.

I made it home from Chris' stocked up the fridge with Heinekens (Gaew's favorite) and waited for her to arrive. Sure enough she was there at 9 PM sharp as promised. We took a nice romantic walk along the beach, holding hands and laughing and talking the whole time. Being with her really lifted my spirits and lightened my heart. Guys I admit this report is a bit repetitive. I am just trying to document my time a accurately as possible. I promise, though, that thing swill get a lot more lively in the last 3 reports!

Day 8 - Wednesday.

Gaew left and I paid her the usual 2 K. I got some tasty tacos at Sam's and proceeded to get some work done. Also had a dip and the nice pool downstairs. Due to my stupid illness I hadn't really had a chance to take advantage of the wonderful facilities down stairs. After my swim I stopped to get a soda at the minimart downstairs and flirted with the cashier lady. A real MILF. Early to mid 30's. Nice ripe body. Thursday.

Would like to have your views / advise.True but not entirely. I went through the same dilemma a few years ago when I made my first trip, so let me help you with whatever I can. It took more than 8 trips (not kidding) to Bangkok before I set foot in Pattaya as all I heard was, it's a hole and doesn't welcome Indians. Guess what, since that first trip, I made more than 10 exclusively mongering trips and none of them anywhere else except Pattaya. Don't I love it?

I am an Indian too. Old (late forties) and bald, but a bit athletic built and a bit of money to spare and if you are younger and better looking and the money you said you want to spend then you have it. A few points to note though. Everything that follows is with an Indian perspective so may not be applicable to others.

- Scout through ROD for detailed reports by bro Adrenalin Rush- should be two or three years old or so but the links can be found easily. Great info especially for Indians.

- I always hunt alone as I am comfortable that way. I believe a couple of guys or a group of Indians can probably put off many options. Seen it happening but not necessarily everywhere. Many places it's easy to get in as an individual but a group of Indians could find it tougher. Already two of you. Don't pick anymore.

- Dress appropriately and be well kempt-some of the worst ones on the beach road and walking street are our brothers. Yes other guys are too, but when you are not the preferred type we need to do better.

- take a break from our usually practiced bargaining methods- yes we need to get the right price but we need to know when to pull off and move on rather than push them to agree to what you want- seen it happening too many times on the beach road. We are not bargaining for a thing but setting a price for the time together. Be nice to them.

Lets face it. In spite of whatever we do, there will be places and there shall be girls rejecting bluntly and it hurts- the thing is how quickly we recover and move on and not let it spoil our entire day. I have been told "members only" at some places and some girls outright rejected drinks when I offered them. Only if and when I happen to find a gem suddenly). So if a bald, old bugger can do it you can too. Just take it easy, keep smiling, be nice to the girls, make them comfortable and pay well. The real disadvantage is at getting the girl, but once they know you and find that you are a nice one to be around they will enjoy and you will have a great time. Once you keep going to the same place they will definitely warm up to you. Almost all girls (except two or three) always wanted to be back with me the next day. The point I am making is, yes its a bit difficult for Indians to start with but once you understand the perspective you can have the same fun too.

Never forget to move on, if a couple of things don't go your way. There are too many options and in my more than 90 nights and days there I barely scratched the surface. Being rejected is part of the learning but it does help to find another way. Have fun brothers.

As for Phuket I haven't tried it as I haven't got tired of Pattaya yet. My sincere advise, don't put off Pattaya just because of the Indian thing, its a small? For too much fun to be had. Get in there, take it on and have it all.

It took more than 8 trips (not kidding) to Bangkok before I set foot in Pattaya as all I heard was, it's a hole and doesn't welcome Indians. Guess what, since that first trip, I made more than 10 exclusively mongering trips and none of them anywhere else except Pattaya. Don't I love it?

I am an Indian too. Old (late forties) and bald, but a bit athletic built and a bit of money to spare and if you are younger and better looking and the money you said you want to spend then you have it. A few points to note though. Everything that follows is with an Indian perspective so may not be applicable to others.

- Scout through ROD for detailed reports by bro Adrenalin Rush- should be two or three years old or so but the links can be found easily. Doing this should answer a lot of questions for you, and is the best way to "educate" yourself.

When that is done, and if you then have questions that are not answered, throw them out and people will be glad to give their opinions.

Bus: From BKK bus station to Pattaya Bus station 124. Bell Travel Service: From BKK airport to Pattaya hotel 230 on website (250 at counter). From BKK hotel to Pattaya hotel 345 on website.

ThanksYes. I took one a month ago. Costs 124 baht. It will drop you off at North Pattaya station. Runs about every 30-40 minutes. I don't know what time the last bus departs. I would guess the last bus departs before midnight.

The bus terminal is HUGE! Find the information counter and ask them where to buy the ticket. Get your ticket and you can exit near the food court. Walk outside and find your bus at the # on your ticket. The ticket will have the bus parking space #, and the actual bus number.

You can find many girls easy enough almost everywhere and for the right amount of money, they will come to your room and give you a good time. More money and they stay longer; enough money and they stay three days. That is the easy part.

But unless you intend to fuck her for three days and nights without a pause, can you really enjoy staying with a total stranger for things other than sex? What connection do you hve with her? Many girls do provide GFE, but once the deed is done and you both have taken a shower, what will you talk about? You don't find friendship just like that, by waving some bahts around.

My suggestion? Go to Soi 6 and take any girl you fancy for ST. If you feel a "click", next time get her LT and see how she "performs" during a longer time. Then perhaps you can engage her services for a whole day, making perfect agreement about what you want her to do. Don't expect many of these girls to have any knowledge of the area outside of their own little world. For instance, they are unlikely to be any good as a tour guide. After a day, they're no longer a stranger. Of course you have to make a bit of an effort, but it almost always pays off. I can count on one hand, with fingers left over, the number of dud long-times I've had, both in BKK and PTY.

The key is to show interest in the things THEY like. So, you discuss their family. You eat what she eats. Hang out at some Thai clubs. I draw the line at Thai soap operas, but taking in a Thai movie (with English subtitles) can be rewarding. You can learn a lot about the country and the culture from some of the girls. Yes, some of it may be a bit of low-class culture, but it's all good. You would be surprised at how interesting some (certainly not all) of the girls can be, once you get past the language barrier.

One caveat is you need somebody a bit on the older side. I don't care what country you're in, an 18 year old girl is a blithering idiot. But late 20's. Early 30's can make excellent rent-a-companions.

Going away for several days guarantees that she'll receive income for that period of time, probably in excess of what she would have earned in the bar despite the discount. Side benefits include not having to go to work and put up with the daily grind for a few days and staying someplace nicer than her apartment. If the guy isn't a complete monosyllabic dickhead, and has a "sanuk" personality, she'll probably enjoy the trip.

Do the places on Soi 6 offer more than one shot? I've had a few experiences with freelancers (not from the beach) and the best I've managed to get so far has been 2 in about a 2 hour session. I would prefer double that in a 2. 5-3 hour slot. Prices have ranged from 1,000 to 2,500. I understand the girls need to pace themselves for their evening work but I'm hoping for some professional tips from you guys.

Help us out -- what do you give per day to them?There's definitely a range. Generally, I think a fair minimum is 1000 baht per day (same as the low LT rate). Do consider that she is working and needs to earn money, not just cover the minimal obligations. In addition, you want to keep her happy, not on the cusp of thinking that she's better off elsewhere.

Of course a good looking girl who can easily pull 3 x1000 baht short times per day in the high season would not be happy earning 1000 per day on a long-term customer.

We all think we're insufferably handsome and insanely fun to be with, but it's impossible to know whether the girl sees it the same way. Thais, especially bargirls, are good at going along, pretending to be happy and not making a fuss, even if they're dying of boredom or being slightly irritated. Even if a working girl genuinely likes being with me and enjoys the holiday, I think of it as a bonus and it's not fair to financially punish (charge?) her for having a good time by paying less than the going rate.

This may be debatable, but I feel that it's better to pay every day or two and not a lump at the end. This way, she has no doubt that she'll get paid in the end, and is free to leave if she so desires. I truly have no desire to stay with someone who doesn't want to be staying with me (but maybe I'll be thinking differently when I'm 70).

Of course, if she really likes you and you have arrangements for the future (sponsorship or marriage and such), you can pay less, including nothing at all beyond expenses (for traveling, and any obligations she may have), but that would not be hiring a bargirl.
