They told me it had to be 72 HRs before the flight departure. I was at 1 HR over. Of course i explained to them that's wrong and dumb and they just told me i couldn't get on or else they would get sued or the brazilian custom would send me back anyways. Wasnt going to get anywhere arguing and would miss my flight. I got to the airport at 7 pm so I was lucky to run to the quick test site and get a test and run back to get my flight but I had no check in and had to run to make it to the gate on time. Just made it with 3 minutes before the gate closed. Stupid PCR Test takes forever to come in time where I go get tested so I did Sunday to be safe.
I think it's best to get a Qured or Emed or whatever at home test your airline accepts so you can do it in the morning and then get the results and upload without worrying about a lab to send the results in time. A quick antigen test on the same day would also be ok if you have time to do one in the morning. PCR tests sometimes take forever to get back to you.
Anyone know where I can find a good lead on RJ twitter girls. It seems SP girls are more prevalent on twitter than RJ girls. My boarding time is 2 pm for first flight and my Covid test is 3:50 pm 3 days prior. That gives me a 70 hour difference, but when my connecting flight from Texas leaves it will be over 72 hours. You can also do a 24 HR antigen test just to be sure.

After a chill morning and flight me (I was sat next to an English speaker who recommended Ilha Grande as a hidden gem in Rio to visit) and my buddy land in Rio Santos Dumont around 2 pm. Bags take ages but easy Uber to the IBIS Centro and checked in by 3 to freshen up.
It's my buddy's first time in Rio so he's revved. As such we head straight down to Dark Room Prive for a presentation. I've read about them on here and had been in touch via WhatsApp so was feeling good. I had forgotten that Monday tended to be a slow mongering day though .3 girls on line up, none doable. Then do not get me started on this feijoada stuff. You make beans everyday, but one day out of the week you give the people a treat by adding meat into the beans. Yippee!

But with only 2 of those Blue Motherfuckers she was fucked the fuck up. She fell through the doorway trying to take her clothes off when we got home. Yep. That is what real alcohol does.

In the six years since I was last here a lot has changed, but much is still the same. Despite the IBIS Centro turning out to be a dud (anal retentive guest access and creaky beds to name a few gripes) it was great being in Centro and walking distance from the Termas' and Prive's.

You misunderstood something with Boates. They are not stripclubs, they are pick-up clubs with working girls in it. Sometimes they work in the club like in Scandallo in SP (which is the biggest and most fancy boate I know of) or they are freelancers line in Casarao also in SP or Dolce Vita in Rio. The thing though, Marius' 250 buffet in Leme is not for the seafood. 5-6 years ago the seafood buffet ran me around $100 plus tips (that's American 100, BTW). It was great, but not $100 great.
Now there are 2 churrascarias in NYC. One is Plataforma, the other one I don't remember; both are (were) within $30-50 range for lunch / dinner if they haven't hiked up the prices since the pandemics.
Sushi Leblon was good, but not great, and the dinner for 3 cost us over $200 although we did have a few drinks.
I'm not saying it's out of whack, but there are amazing sushi spots in Manhattan, some in the same price range or a little cheaper, some maybe slightly more.

I'm not bashing Rio fine foods, just saying I wouldn't necessarily be looking toward spending big bucks in Rio's upscale restaurants since less pricey eateries make me happy as well.
Having said that, there is one churrascaria I love more than all others, including Marius and whatnot. Churrascaria Palace right across from Copacabana Palace. Small, intimate, classy, with quiet piano music and excellent meats. The location should make it a tourist trap, but it isn't. That and Confeitaria Colombo are two places I always visit in Rio. But I don't mind discovering more.

I got to check out a few places while I was in town a few weeks ago. I really liked Eden Spa. The setup was fine, nothing to write home about. I chose Mirela a short blanca. Pretty vanilla but lots of GFE and she was in to it. Talked afterwards in my bad Porto, but overall was a good time.

Before the internet, Rio was basically a word of mouth thing. Sure, American men were aware of the SE Asian playgrounds. When I was coming up the ranks, Rio was more of a mystery. We knew about tan, bikini-clad Brazilian women. We didn't hear much of the Rio sex scene until word trickled back.
Circa 2000 and now the internet spreads word quickly and far. I distinctly remember meeting four mid-twentysomething Midwestern guys with a clear lack of game having the time of their lives. If the internet helped these guys find and navigate Copacabana, I suspect young Brazilian girls were also receiving news and updates quickly. Help Disco was establishing a reputation globally and throughout Brazil.
There were of course the smokin' dark-skinned Cariocas of various shades strutting and shaking their bundas in the disco. I think for those hobbyists, that participated in Brazil during the 1980's, 1990's and to a lesser extent 2000's and present day, it's important to remember that Brazil is a burgeoning young democracy, that had in 1985, just emerged from an authoritarian military regime of 20 years. Brazil's current constitution was ratified and promulgated in 1988 and held it's first democratic elections in 1989, since the coup in 1964.

Political uncertainty, corruption, violence, police brutality and street gangs robbery and killings (and still today, not much as changed), it's not surprising that most tourists stayed away. Why get mugged, robbed, beaten up or killed, when you can spend a safe and relaxing vacation in Hawaii (I'm sure it a lovely destination, but I've never been and it's not on my buck list. So I may never visit...my loss!)
So naturally, most of the North American media (travel agents), for a long time did not rate Brazil as a safe place to vacay. Yeah, fair or not...but (somewhat) pre-internet, when Help discotheque got featured in several infamous John Stagliano/Buttman and Evil Angel videos (among others), over the years leading up to it's demise in 2010, those videos, didn't exactly do a whole lot to enhance it's optics, as a "good neighborhood" business in the upstanding community of Copa. Ahrrr well....what's one to do? Infamy has its price.
On the flip side, Buttman videos are partially to blame for my Brazilian Brasileira Booty addiction. Go to Botafogo or Barra. IBIS is always good for a first time hotel.

I spent the first part of the holiday in an Airbnb in Centro attached to the Carioca metro and the second part of the holiday in Copacabana between posto4 and posto5.

I would like to give useful information especially to those who have never been to Rio de Janeiro and want to take a low cost pussy holiday. LOL.
Copacabana vs Cento
I spent the first part of the holiday in an Airbnb in Centro attached to the Carioca metro and the second part of the holiday in Copacabana between posto4 and posto5.
Although from Monday to Friday in the afternoon / evening I am always in Centro to check the brothels, I am also always on the beach in the morning. Considering the fact that all my friends live in Copacabana and considering the fact that in the evening Centro is deserted, with almost all the restaurants closed as early as 7 pm. I prefer to stay in Copa more than Centro and go to Centro just to hunt for pussy. Also Saturday and Sunday Centro is dead. Anyway probably Centro it's safer than Copa. And if you stay in Centro is easier to take out girls from brothels / trash to your apartment..

Yes, and the crackudo did not know how to use a knife, or he used a very bad one.
Had he been armed with any dive or hunting knife, those strikes could have been fatal in seconds.
It was most likely one of those knives commonly used for meals in Rio, 3-4 inches long but with a thin blade, which can leave some nasty puncture wounds still.

Strange, I'm just reporting about a case about a tourist getting knifed and the OFC tries to correct me. You use Google translate trying to understand an article, in a incorrectly way. Your translation is totally wrong. In your quote she tells that he didn't want to rob her, if so he could have just taken her mobile phone in her lap.

Maybe even more simple would be watching the video in the article and you would see that she's still holding her mobile phone when she enters the hotel.
