My conclusions regarding Brazil:

The language barrier proved to be a huge obstacle in all the Brazilian cities I visited. I was not prepared for this. Spanish won't get you by. Also, my lack of local knowledge often put me into the wrong clubs where prices were two to three times what the locals paid.

I would recommend that if you are quoted a price that is higher than what the locals pay, walk away. When price discrimination is practiced, it only ruins it for everyone else. You might want to avoid any name brand places and try to find the more unknown places. I think such a strategy can cut the price in half to a third.I don't think you the were the victim of price discrimination. The prices you quoted for Centro are typical market rates. The Copa prices seemed fairly typical for the places where you are hanging out. Sure, they are higher than what 'locals' pay. But 'locals' don't hang out in these places, unless they just like the environment or don't do this very often. The Carioca safados that I know have arrangements with girls from the favelas, and they bang them at love motels for almost nothing. For a girl from the favelas, there is that chance that she can get a white collar Brasileiro to sponsor her like a mistress if she plays her cards right. So he can pull some freebies before she gets the idea that she is just being used.

Actually, the difference between the high and low end in Rio and SP is even bigger. Try 2/3rds. The difference is the ambience and "location, location location". Girls aren't that different from place to place unless you are comparing someplace like Copa with someplace like VM.

Nice comment on language. The more Porto you can speak, the lower down the price ladder you can go. I hope to improve my Porto and be able to score non-pro freebies someday. I have spent plenty of time in Brasil but for just short periods on each trip. So my own Porto is only intermediate from self-study in my home country, and talking to people during trips. My confidence with the non-pros is low due to the language barrier. I always think that I must sound idiotic to them like Borat sounds to Americans...haha.

I like to think that I could take a puta out of there for a day, for no more than the cost of lunch and sucos, and find something in her that is still human and we could go out and have fun for an afternoon with a free lay before she goes back to Florida. Just delouse or shave them bare before you take them home, cause they earn most of their Reais doing fleabitten salty dog workers off cruise ships that dock near Praca Maua . And you can imagine how eaten up those sailors' junk must be from stopping in so many third world ports. Be careful out there.

I arrived in Rio de Janeiro in the morning. I did some internet surfing and the choices looked daunting. I found this website that offered afternoon terma tours:

I emailed through the website. I got a response back but they were booked that night. I booked a terma tour for the following day.TandA: So this 'guide' charged you 70Euros or about $100USD for the 'tour'? Did you have to pay for taxis to all the places plus drinks for this guy or did he have a car and drove you around? And the next day you went to Centaurus and Solarium by yourself or was that another 'tour'?

After this trip, would you consider coming back to Brazil and to which cities?

I'm in Rio at the moment, I'll drop by 4x4 tomorrow to see what the score is. If it is closed for good then it is a DISASTER!

I already cancelled 2 trips to Rio and I am seriously thinking of canceling a 3rd pending some knowledge of the situation on the ground. If it is what I think it is, ANOTHER shakedown, they should open real soon. I'll just wait and see until all the players count their hard earned / extorted pennies. Please let us know of any news on the ground.

But that night, out of boredom, I got in contact with an escort service that my hotel clerk recommended. The girl who answered the phone at the agency spoke English. I asked her for a skinny brunette. When the "skinny brunette" girl arrived, it was a bad surprise. She was very large to say the least. I politely told her I wasn't feeling well and sent her on her way with taxi money. I decided to wait until the next day for my tour.Calling girls from escort agencies is a science. You have to know what agency, read "test drives" at the monger websites (hotforum, gpguia, gpbr. Net) , etc.

The next day I met my tour guide in front of my hotel; he was a local Brazilian named Antonio and he spoke good English. We started in the afternoon and taxied directly to the first terma. The selection at the terma was around 15 girls. I liked three of them. The first of the three girls, Marta, was a thin girl, around 5'3'. She quoted me a price of 120 BRZ for an hour. Antonio finalized the deal with the manger and I took Marta to a back room. She was passionate and friendly. The service was BBBJ with excellent tongue action, doggie, and then 69 followed by doggie again. I think the terma was called Florida Terma. It was on Praça Mauá street but I don't know the number or website.Sounds like reasonable price. If that was all included. Admission, room, girl. So far this was my best night in Brazil. I had two good experiences for two good prices. My guide made the difference because he made up for my deficiency in Portuguese and local knowledge. My tour guide was an excellent example of the power of specialization and division of labor.You should have invested $10 in a membership here at internationalsexguide. I tried to send you a personal message, but that is not possible. I might take you around, depending on my time and mood.

You could have rented rooms in my apartment, I often have girls stopping over, or can call agencies. Or I go to some brothels. Well, too late.

On night three, my last night, I decided to try some big name clubs. I tried two. First I went to Centaurus. This place is a joke. I was getting quoted 400 BRZ prices for girls who I would not do for free. I was there for around 30 minutes and couldn't stand it anymore and left.

Next I tried Solarium.

I was getting quoted 350 BRZ and above. The quality was better than Centarus but still too expensive. I left quickly and went back to my hotel.

In Brazil, I would avoid Florianopolis for paid sex.True.

Similarly, I would avoid Porto Allegre.One of the best places I know. Tons of really cheap places for R$ 30. And also more luxurious and expensive ones (which I am too cheap to use, also because they usually open at times I like to sleep)

In Rio, my tour guide really made the difference with choosing establishments and translating. It is great that someone offers tours to the termas and speaks Portuguese.

Good mongering.Guess I should start offering that, too. I understand you very well, even I sometimes prefer to go with a guy that knows all the addresses, instead of going around with my list of brothels and figuring out the exact location of each one myself. I am talking about the small hidden apartments, there are dozens of those spread all over Rio. Actually, one guy made a listing, I think he found 400. I wish I could get the list!

4x4 should reopen fine, just as one poster said, will involve the delivering of a brown paper bag stuffed with cash. However this is not 100% certain. Probably 75% certain.

Centaurus was closed for a few days a couple of years ago. Rio antigo was closed however never opened again, same owners as 4x4 BTW. 4x4 has been closed for a day before, a couple of times actually. A number of the big São Paulo clubs were closed never to be reopened. As I said above nothing is certain, however lets cross our fingers that it will be fine.

Bi*chmaps. Com is good but the maps were done a few years ago and have not been updated much if ever. Most of the prices are way out of date and a lot of the places don't exist anymore. For what it is worth I went through the whole list, cross referenced it with gpguia and then marked down what places I thought were worth looking at. After visiting about 50 places I put the decent ones into my BBreport. I think Spertos list (which you can find in the reports of distinction) is a better more up to date guide for those looking to get down and dirty in Centro.

Why anyone would pay for a guide to take him to the Rio termas scene. But hey, it's your money, and who am I to tell you how to spend it? But we were all newbies once, and IMHO a newbie to the Rio scene does not need a guide to tell him how to find the termas, or even the prives. I never used a guide, and I'm sure that the overwhelming majority of mongers didn't either. What I did use, extensively, was this thread. Bubba Boy's guide provides precise information as to the names and locations of all the termas and how to get there, and even if Bubba's guide had never been written, as it hadn't when I first mongered here, there would still be ample information for the newbie. There are also myriad posts on what to do when you get to the termas, e. G, the robes, the boites, etc, and there are numerous reviews of the termas so that a newbie should be able to tell in advance which are the ripoffs (e. G. Centaurus) and which are the dumps (e. G. Vila Mimosa). So if you want to avoid wasting money that could be much better spent, the best course for a newbie would be to RTFF and not to hire a guide. Just my two cents worth.

Nothing wrong with a first time visitor to use a guide as long as they have cash and even then don't overpay. The guy that used the guide seemed to do fine and enjoyed himself. I remember even Kidcisco, the good Doctor from Calif, used a guide on his first trips. Don from Riotrips. I haven't seen Don for a while, but his partner Ken is still around. They are decent guides if anyone is interested.I used Ken on my first trip. Very good and very helpful. Its a good investment to give you the confidence to head back out there on your own armed with Bubba's and Sperto's guides.

Don is still around and running Amerioca on Almirante Goncalves.

They can connect your two points with a line instead of the roundabout polygon that you would undoubtedly have made not knowing any better. My first couple of times in Rio Owen showed us around everywhere from Help to Vila Mimosa and soon we became very familiar with everything and no longer needed him. To me those times were very valuable and I wouldn't trade them for anything. And he never asked for a set fee. I just remember us shooting him about R20 each at the end of the trip.

Did I really need my professors when all of the examples were right there at the beginning of each chapter? They can show you a lot of tricks to the trade that it might take you quite some time to learn when venturing out on your own. They can also save you a lot of time being that you won't be attempting to reinvent the wheel. They can connect your two points with a line instead of the roundabout polygon that you would undoubtedly have made not knowing any better. My first couple of times in Rio Owen showed us around everywhere from Help to Vila Mimosa and soon we became very familiar with everything and no longer needed him. To me those times were very valuable and I wouldn't trade them for anything. And he never asked for a set fee. I just remember us shooting him about R20 each at the end of the trip.The only guide(s) one really needs is a site like the International Sex Guide, or any other place where mongers with lots of field experience gather. For me, a big part of the fun is in the adventure of finding many of the answers to the equations on my own. But, I don't like to leave everything up to chance either. So, do RTFF. Do your research. Develop an understanding of the basic theorems and formulas. Ask informed questions. Then go out and explore, experience, and enjoy! Learn from your mistakes and share some of those lessons. And realize that your own personal experiences are no less legitimate than anybody else's. I've never used a guide (paid or unpaid) on a mongering trip, but I suppose that I can kind of see it for somebody who doesn't have any overseas experience whatsoever. However, absolutely not for seasoned overseas travelers. And, you can learn a lot after only a few trips to various places. I just thank God that I'm a hell of a lot better monger than mathematician!

I only went once and once was enough. Not my cup of tea! I, however, did go with Owen. Owen is a good guide, honest and trustworthy. Unlike some others, Owen is willing to work for his pay. He doesn't ask for handouts. Although I don't need his services, I always give him a little change when I see him because he is a good person.

Located in Rio Branco in Centro, Building # 156, and located in 3320.

I was in the mood for a coroa type of gdp today, and I decided to go to several prives to see what was available. I had been to Dudas a couple of weeks ago, but the majority of the gals were occupied, so I did not partake. But this time around I saw a blonde from the Northern part of brazil. In her thirties, and she looked somewhat slutty. So I rolled the dice and it was a good session. Not a great one, but a good one.

I place, and the girls are decent, and so was the service. However, I highly suggest that if you do decide to take a girl into the cabina in this place, make a point of clearing up when the start time of your hour or 40 minutes takes place. I had already read about someone getting shortchanged on the time in the cabina. I paid 100R for the hour. I was very aware of the time the garota came into the room. I did not take a shower before the seesion cause I had already taken one before heading to Centro. So its not as though I used some of the hour I paid for to take a shower. After about 35 minutes, I release my load. So I get talking a bit with this gal. About 5 minutes later, the phone rings. I say " whats that about?" She says that its to inform us that their are 10 minutes remaining. I gave this gal a look like saying " yOU GUYS ARE FULL OF SH*T"

I told her, that was wrong! I didn't plan on going for another round becuase I had already shot a load earlier in the day, so I was already somewhat tired.

I didn't really say anything about the topic, we continued talikng about other things. A few minutes later, I went to go take a shower, got dressed, and didn't bother going back to the cabina. I headed straight to the receptionist (light skinned black girl) and informed her that this would be the last time I visit the casa, and I plan on telling all of my friends, particularly my brasilian one's about the dumb ass phone call to warn someone of a 10 minutes left, when in reality there was 20 left. I specifically told her that this was not a fluke because I had already been warned about htis problem in this particular casa. She gave me the surpised look, which I sarcastically gave back to her.

I really enjoyed this casa during the summer of 2010, cause they had some hot looking girls there, and the service was pretty darn good. Plus, no problems with management. Its a darn shame its now being a pain with clients. Good luck and beware if you decide to go there.

Since this has been posted a couple of times I thought I would give a go at translating it for those who don't speak Portuguese.

By order of MP, police close termas in City Center.

The termas Four x Four, at Rua Buenos Aires 44, in the city center, was closed on Friday night, while open and operating (at full steam). Around 10:0 pm, the Deputy delegate of the 5th DP, Roberto Johan Leal, arrived at the business (house) with agents to comply with an order (determination) of the public prosecutor, which denounced the existence of the activities of prostitution and drug trafficking.

The first complaint was confirmed and Rozilda Batista da Silva, who presented herself as responsible for the business (house), was arrested in front of everyone (flagrantly). She was taken to the Prison Complex at Bangu. If convicted, she could be sentenced to from two to five years in prison, in addition to paying a fine.

I would like to make this post about 4x4 closing or a debate about why it's OK to use a guide in Rio as long as you pay him and he doesn't spam the board with ads for staying in his apartment. Just to fit in. But I digress.

Tonight I had planned to meet a little hottie from a private at my apartment. But she bailed on me last minute. Leaving me in a mind for fun. And, well, I was torn between visiting a galpal at L'Uomo or hitting up MC. Both are about 5 mins from my office. The night was young.

Sounds like reasonable price. If that was all included. Admission, room, girl. But I don't go to Florida (aren't they open only at night?). I also normally take shorter times that are cheaper, too.The prices are Florida at inclusive of the girl and room. There is an entrada though. I am not a Doctor though, so I need to be realistic about funds. I have joined cupidbrazil in order to work that angle however it can be tough to gauge who is real and who is looking for clients.

Anyway, hung out for the duration of my R$8. 25 Xingu dark beer and then some. Left around 11pm. Was starting to fill up but just not my scene. I've been following the thread since my return from Rio 5 years ago. Back then the currency rate was good and there was Help. Now it seems that the scene has been reduced to Termas which I feel is over priced.

Anyone know where the girls from Help have gone? Has it gone underground or have they moved abroad? Is it a matter of gringos unable to FIND the supply, and as a result of lack of demand, the girls have stopped working? I have plans of going back to Brazil, but for now it seems that Rio is dead, and will be dead in the yrs to come with the world cup and olympics.

To answer droplet's question, the Atlantica scene is really quiet now. I only started coming to Rio 2 years ago in the death throes of Help but back then the crowd / girls outside Help was much larger and you used to see a lot of girls walking up and down Atlantica between Help / Meia Pataca and Balcony both on the Hotel side of the road and on the beach side of the road. During the day there were more girls on the beach opposite the Othon (trying avoid the "H" word so I don't get banned!) and again you would see girls walking up and down the boardwalk. Now, it is really quiet, few girls on the beach (admittedly it is winter here and there has been a cold spell). I've not spotted any girls cruising up and down the beach during the day. At night Meia Pataca and Mabs are DEAD, the occasional girl (s) walk up and down Atlantica. Most girls head down from the hills and staright to Balcony. You can see them crossing Barata Ribeiro and Nossa Senhora and making straight for Balcony. Maybe it fills up after midnight but before then it is pretty quiet with not many girls to pick from (say 20-30).

It seems that with the end of Help, the Atlantica scene has contracted and is drying up. Just Balcony now.

I did not use a guide on my first trip but probably could have used one. I did not know about ISG back then but got some info from some other sites. I am still amazed that I found L'uomo by myself. How much did you pay your guide and how long ago was the trip?It was 2 years ago. Back then Ken used to take people along to 4x4 on fridays and Luomo on Saturday. He'd show you how to get there, show you round the place and translate if you wanted to talk to the girls. I think he also sometimes took people on a run to the casas on Rio Branco. People would drop by Amerioca to find out what time to meet up for a tour with Ken. I don't know if he does any of this anymore. It was very helpful. I can't remember the exact cost. But it wasn't extortionate and it was money very well spent in my opinion as it gave me (speaking virtually no portuguese at the time) the confidence to head out into big bad Rio on my own. I realised that you can step out of zona sul. And in fact the action is better and cheaper if you do.

In addition, if you put an announcement on the forum saying when you are in Rio and that you would appreciate joining other mongers as they go round the termas / casas, I am sure that you will get some responses. Most people on the forum have benefitted from being shown the ropes at some stage and can help out.

2) Language. You really should try to learn some porto. It will help you understand what is going on and can help get a good rapport with the girls which will usually improve the service you get. Also you will need it if you want to step out of the costly termas scene in zona sul (Luomo, Monte Carlo, Centaurus, Solarium)

3) Budget. As I sure you are aware, the real is strong against $/euro/£ and the main termas are not cheap now. Budget mongering can be had in Centro and at some locations in Zona Sul. However some knowledge of porto, or a porto-speaking wingman is needed in these places as the girls won't speak English. Had an interesting day at Botafogo shopping. Yes, they do have a Starbucks and yes the prices are insane. 1) Guide. My advice would be to contact Don / Ken at Amerioca, and ask about a guide. There are probably other guides and other posters on the forum may be able to\provide details, but I used Ken 2 years ago and he was very good.

Are there any hotels in the Ipanema / Copacabanna area that allow guests without fee? Because I am going on business for 10 days, I am in the position where I need to get a hotel due to receipt / expense reasons. I was going to use something like hotels. I am drawn to the apartment concept but since this is a business trip I would like the comforts of a hotel. There are three in Copacabana which are simple but clean accommodations with large beds, ceiling mirrors, showers. These rent for about R$60 per hour but are convenient for a fast-fuck. Lido hotel is in the eastern end of Copacabana just a couple of blocks from Balcony bar. Vanity and Copa Linda are at the western end of Copacabana near Posto 5.

If you are in Ipanema, the nearest motels are Shalimar, Sinless an VIPs, in Leblon, a short ride by taxi. These are more up-scale, with ocean views, hot tubs, private pools, etc. Complementary breakfast is served and prices are about R$70 – R$200 for 6 hours.

I know 502, go there a lot. It closes at 12am most nights, however it is open to 2am on Thursday and Friday nights. It also closes at 2am on special event nights, like parties they have before public holidays etc. I tend to find centro girls a different breed than zona sul T girls. The centro girls tend to be less corrupted by the tourists. They also tend to be less available to stay over at night as a lot of them have a "normal" life back in the area they come from. Lots have family life which makes it difficult to explain why they are not at home sometimes. Having said that, it is still easy to get them to come over. I really have zero interest to bring a girl I just met from some dive like Balcony back to my apartment. The problem is my apartment is full of my stuff, I live in this building as a tenant, and there's way too much that she could damage or steal. I also find it way better to try-before-you-buy by seeing them at Termas.

The last time I did bring a Balcony chick back she did in fact perform poorly. Demanding money as we started to get busy in my bedroom. I basically paid her half and kicked her out (she'd BBBJ'd me by that point).

I can understand if you are here for a short time and staying in a rented apt or hotel where you don't care as much about the neighbors or the stuff in the apartment / room. But it's different for me and that's why I don't write much about TLNs.

Stopped by 65 in Centro today early, got there around 5. 20. Getting pretty busy in the boate, peak time is like 6pm-8pm. Attractive friendly girls but a step down from some of the stunners they've had in the past. Saw my current fav there after she managed to unentangle herself from another client after like 50 minutes. While I was waiting for her, one girl said I obviously wasn't a Brasilian. I asked why. Yes, a lot of the dudes feel the need to have their bathrobes hang down from their waist. But this is actually working in your favor: the girls know that them dudes aren't their paying customers and concentrate on the guys that don't do that. And if you really want to chill in a more quiet atmosphere, there is always the upstairs lounge (which is too quiet for me, though). Plus, the occasional strip show in the main boite prevents boredom.

Monte Carlo reopened on Friday last week I think. They had been closed for 3 days (Terca / Quarta / Quinta) due to work in the street that required turning off the gas & electric to the building.

Checked in tonight around 8. 30. Quiet in the boate (Monday) with maybe 5-7 guys. Thinned out like my hairline. Zing! Good news is apparently Monday is rock-music night and the stereo was playing rock songs instead of the usual dance / hiphop. They rolled like 6 Pearl Jam "greatest hits" in a row. They also threw on a bunch of GNR including Welcome To The Jungle.

Tatami are mats traditionally made from rice straw and are used as floor coverings in Japan. I recall a tatami room in L'uomo, in which I got my first dose of Ingrid. That room has no bed and only a tatami on the floor, effectively making the entire room your "bed". Even though the floor space is the same, the "work bench" is a lot big this way than having the usual twin bed in the room. Ingrid did all kinds of interesting gymnastics with me in that room. A tatami is a Japanese straw mat. They are usually found in the bedrooms in ryokans; you place your futon on top of the tatami and sleep on it. Tatamis are also found in zendos. You place your mat and meditation cushion on top of the tatami, then sit on the cushion and meditate (it's actually more complicated than this, but that's the essence). Heard the name Black and White a number of times so I finally decided to take the trip up to the bad side of town, which is Zona Norte. If you follow Av Brasil from centro it will pretty much take you directly to the door. The suburb is just before the airport. Now I am sure all of you guys remember how seedy the area is when you come from the airport, favela after favela. Well that is Bonsucesso. The area is very poor, surrounded by favelas and you should be careful while out there.

I arrived by Metro, got off at Maria da Graça and hopped a cab for R$10. It was about 9pm and the surrounding areas we drove through were very dead and very dodgy. When I arrived at the club outside I was impressed. Kind of like an osasis in the middle of very drab buildings, deadly quiet as well. Go inside and pay $R10 upfront, explained that it gets you 2 beers, domestic of course. Grabbed a beer and sat down. The club is nicely appointed, probably nicer than most of the tier 2 termas in centro. There were maybe 30 guys drinking beers and maybe 10 girls. The girls were of the large bunda variety which is very popular with the local Brazilian guys. Doubt this place would see many gringos.

People were smoking freely, which is is now prohibited in all inside establishments and annoying to me, a non smoker! Didn't see any maybe-doable girls, saw a 6, maybe. Also saw 2 x 2's, they were walking arm in arm and could barely walk down the large ailse without their huge butts knocking stuff over. As they left through the door, single file of course, they could just squeeze thru without turning sideways. I sat and finished a couple of beers, quietly enjoying my time out in Zona Norte. Then left on foot.

As I left the club I turned right, I walked along Av Paris about 200 yards and hit Av Brasil. The main road back into town. I watched what was written on the buses to confirm I was on the correct side of the road (the same side of the club) and then jumped a bus and was back in Centro in about 20 minutes.

Really enjoyed finally seeing this club, don't know that you would find really hot women out here but for R$100 for the hour (fixed price) worth a visit if you happen to be out there. I think you guys are full of good info. But my larger point was that at MC, they were using this word. Tatami. To signify the size / type of room between the 40min room (tiny) and the suite (1hr). For example the oddly shaped room on the floor above the boate, next to the bathroom. It has a big ol' bed in it, but it's like 2x the size of a 40min room. Had never heard them use this word before to refer to that room size. *shrug*
If I remember correctly, that room, located right behind the receptionist desk, actually has a regular rubber mattress just like the other rooms. I never been in that particular room but figure it must be bigger than that.

I have become more concerned that the fact that I speak ZERO Portuguese will really be an issue at many of the Termas and massage places. If you're worried about language barrier, stick to Zona Sul termas (L'Uomo, Monte Carlo, Centaurus, and Solarium). Maybe T65 in Centro.

You definitely don't need a guide if all you will do is hit L'Uomo / MC / Centaurus and 65, plus tourist stuff (Sugar loaf, Christo, Jardim Botanico). Just print BubbaBoy's latest guide and some google maps, you will be fine.

I have never contributed to the Rio board so please do not hate everyone. First, on the point of smoking weed. I agree you a gringo and you try that stuff in Rio and you are putting yourself at risk. The one place no one gives you a problem is Rochina a favella outside Rio.

Now, I know some of you will say never go to the favella, but I am working with a school there and I like the favella. Maybe because I grew up poor in the states and I see a lot of the same issues that are in the states. By the way, I am working with the people there to set up a favella tour for Rochina as typical of Rio not one favella tour is run by people who live there.

Lastly, if you think it would be helpful to tell my experiences of the favella I will, but I think no one ever talks about these area's even though we all see them driving around Rio. To be honest, I have met some very hot girls from the favella that were cool and it was not all about the hustle. Again, some people did not have a choice on where they grew up. I hope that helps.

I am not sure if someone has already told you this or you have read about it but I recommend making a photocopy of your passport photo page and your visa page and get it authenticated at the nearest cartorio after you arrive. Costs about R$6 and some waiting time but lets you carry the copy around instead of the original.

First place visited on my third trip to Rio, after reading all the recommendations. This is my first report on ISG as I don't go around much but hope to write more.

Got to the place around 7 and the boate was about 25 guys to 10 girls. After about 10 minutes, saw one to my liking. A tall morena who called herself Mel. Speaks a bit of English but not too much. She says she know spanish and worked in Luomos in 2008. Has small paw print tattoos in the right, lower back area. She is not on the skinny side, which I don't mind at all.

She said she had silicone but it must have been a good job as it didn't look like it. We had a few drinks (she took a Smirnoff Ice and then a Red Bull). I am not much of a talker and once she started massaging her breasts in the boate with my hands and sticking her tongue in my mouth, I decided to take her and stop providing entertainment to the locals. The $240 quote gave me pause but I thought may be it was for a suite and if it was good, then it was ok. BA85 was open today after all. It didn't seem as crowded today as it had yesterday evening when I was walking back from Termas 502. But the stairs, the stairs, THE STAIRS! I read as many reports as much I could find with the search function but NOTHING prepared me for the stairs. Music was being blasted as I looked up at the dirt-of-many-feet-over-many-years steps. Before I go any further, I bow to anyone who has ascended without making use of the handrails. The first level had a lot of chicks with one looking over the landing. She was cute, I smiled and kept going. The music was from the second floor, had a couple of guys and chicks standing. The chicks looked nice but having read the warnings to stay off the second floor (and speaking next-to-nothing portugues) , I decided to keep going up. My advice on your visit to 4x4 is that you hang back a bit I and check out a few girls. 1) 502 could be so much better if they would just spend some money and fix up the facilities a bit. BubbaBoy and I were joking they should just buy a couple sets of new sheets for the rooms and it would be 50% better. Doubt it will happen though.

2) Pay-day in Brasil is typically 5th of every month. So you actually caught it on the last Friday before pay-day. Meaning by this point in the month most 502 punters have blown all their disposable cash and have none left until 5th August (what with rent being due on 1st and all). It's quiet because it's winter, and then on top of that most of their usual customers have no reserves at this point in the month.

Has anyone else been unable to use their bank card or credit cards in Brazil? Proposition the girls you are screwing at the termas. But I haven't seen very many FINE working girls in Rio termas, if you are talking about truly stunning girls. Most of the stunning girls are being kept by the more upscale Brasilieros and don't prostitute. 90% of the world population has Herpes simplex 1, HSV1, the reason why you don't see everybody walking around with cold sores is because our immune system has built up antibodies and suppresses outbreaks. But when the virus is trying to come to the surface the girl is contagious and can pass it to you on your lips or your genitals. But you probably have the antibodies anyway and suppress an outbreak. HSV1 and HSV2 are virtually identical in dna as a virus, but it can look very much like genital herpes if you get it from a BBBJ and she is shedding the virus with no visible symptoms.

The number varies with HSV2 genital herpes, some say 40% of the population has it but most don't even know it because the first outbreak was so mild it was mistook for something else like jock itch or a pimple, others having raging episodes. while here on my thoughts, just thought i let you guys know a few things noticed during my recent really short and unexpected trip to rio. the scene in copacabana and ipanema were ripping with all kinds of activity. there were the world military games, which added to the off-hobby entertainment, a surfing tournament and things like that.

someone mentioned that they liked the street vending churro guys? the city is apparently giving licenses to a lot of people to sell them on the street with these really nice and clean carts. i liked the churro and tapioca carts, but man, oh, man, i have to tell you guys about the popcorn carts. i already love popcorn, but these guys came up with a new way (for me that is) of selling the stuff that i haven't see before: the add crunchy bacon with the popcorn. as it is said, you have to die of something some day, i can tell you that heart-attack waiting to happen popcorn was just addicting. i'd never been hooked on anything except bunda; this came a really close second. just the flavor is enough to hook you.

besides my one bad encounter at 4 x 4, one can never get tired of the countless amount of fine as hell, willing, and able nymphs that live in this paradise. brazilians really know how to live life to the fullest, and their women, aaaah, their women, gdps, regular girls, and so on are so into getting their ego's stroked that it makes the environment worth the trip at least for me. they don't wear that low cut blouse or a skin tight pair of pants or jeans, or a tiny mini skirt if they didn't want you to take a peek at the merchandise. we just need to be classy in how we acknowledge their 'assets' if you know what i mean. a smile, a nice long look sometimes is all it takes in letting her know that you like what you see. she smiles back at you and the rest is up to you. i like the attitude, i love this place.

as far as the gdp's, nothing beats their very athletic, feminine and very skilful knowledge of their sexual prowess in the cabine or bedroom. just hearing that lady's voice saying over and over, 'te voy a brincar' was enough to not even think of taking a day off even if i needed a day off or two. as i was told several times, they would leave me dry once finished; they were not kidding! after being drained by the gdp's and left hurting (in a good way) after every session everyday (except for just one bad session) while there was worth the extra expense of a last minute trip. i cannot tell you where i went that things went so well, except to mention the obvious places: 4 x 4, cancun, lluomos, solarium, etc, just check bubba's guide. as far as the hole in the wall places, i can't tell anyone of these spots. prices are low and there are and no knuckleheads overpaying or over tipping! jeez, we destroyed help (i couldn't stand the place, but it was an option) , and the whole city is getting used to over generous mongers overpricing even a damned coconut on the beach. can't have that!

i can't wait to go back.

The prices have been pushed up by local Brazilians, just normal Latin American inflation. Most of the Rio hotels are operating at almost full capacity, pretty much all local Brazilians on holidays ramping up then price of everything.

The prices have been pushed up by local Brazilians, just normal Latin American inflation. Most of the Rio hotels are operating at almost full capacity, pretty much all local Brazilians on holidays ramping up then price of everything.The bubble has burst though. It's not going to be a long time when IBOVESPA will be in the 25. 000 range I believe and lots of people will be trapped in there.

I am not an expert in economics but I have seen it happening in many countries around the world including Greece of course. Although Brasil is a much healthier country and there is not direct comparison.

Eventually Reais and prices will go down but it will take a few more years for this to happen.

In the mean time I am staying away as much as possible holding to the Far East. I am refusing to pay 150 euros for a 4x4 garota session when three years back would cost me only 50. Not that I cannot afford it. I simply consider it very highly priced for Latin American standards.

That decision was made when they asked me for an 85% rental increase, for the same apartment in Fortaleza, from February to December of 2009.

Nevertheless I have to go back this year in order to maintain my permanente. It will be around X-mass.

Let me explain myself a bit better. GDP inflation is caused by us, the regular consumer / mongers of local or foreign origin. If the locals set a price for services, say 1BR per minute, and no one overpays or tips, prices will not go up as quickly as in say, as an example of opulence and plain stupidity, a place like Help. Go back 5 years ago. Even though the prices has been set in stone for years unofficially, and communicated in every forum available, it was overran by a bunch of stupid f*ucks who went out of their way to show everybody how much money they had. Remember the wannabe rappers? Bling, bling, loudmouth jack*sses of all creeds and races, raising hell and stuff? They overpaid for everything: Girls, drinks, etc. Next thing you know, brazilians could not afford to go to their own disco and if they did it was just to drink, dance and maybe watch, just like most of your termas.

Fast forward to today. Everyone acknowledges that prices are going up for everything. However, some spots, some places where foreigners wouln't dare go have not been overpriced because it IS all locals who go there or some of us who know how to act outside the tourists areas. The prices have NOT gone up in 5 years for GDP's there and they are doing great business at these places. They are kept in my back pocket and known by locals. They should stay hidden because locals can enjoy the spoils and not worry about foreigners overpricing shit like they always seem to do.

In 8 years I watched and warned time and again about overpaying for GDP's at Help. Prices went from about BR80 for TLN and went up five fold until it closed. Again, this isn't about regular inflation it is about out of control knuckleheads who won't respect another man's backyard and follow simple instructions. In order to get along, some need to learn to go along. I know you are not one of them, but there are way too many of them out there waiting to destroy what has not been destroyed yet. So I keep some secrets because I am not having what happened before to happen again; I love this place too much.

In order to get along, some need to learn to go along. there are way too many of them out there waiting to destroy what has not been destroyed yet. So I keep some secrets because I am not having what happened before to happen again; I love this place too much.Now voyager, this is about you not having enough coin to keep playing in the little playground you found and wanted all to yourself. Rio has voyaged on and left you standing there complaining and wondering what happened. Too much.

If you are going to "rest your case" on reasoning like that, then I don't think you would make a very good lawyer. I certainly would not want you to represent me.

Your argument has been around for years. I simply don't subscribe to it when I reason it out. The high end places, of which Kilt is, account for a tiny % of the overall P4P market. Less than 1% of the market IMHO. If one person is willing to overpay at a high end place then I don't see every other GDP in Brazil asking for that price. 99% of mongers are just going to tell the GDP to get lost and go to his favourite place. I really don't see how if affects the price at other places. 99% of mongers, particularly the locals, are well informed and know the price. Adding to this the high end places are really struggling for business now, there are very few foreign tourists and Brazilians tend to not want to pay for the high end.

Inflation on the other hand is rampant in Brazil. In 2004 I paid R$1. 10 for a bus, now it is R$2. 50. A coconut on the beach R$1, now R$3. Bel Prazer type prives were R$50 for the hour, now R$100. T502 was R$85 entrance-40minutes-girlfee=total, now it is R$170. Pretty much everything in Brazil has doubled in local currency terms in about 6 years. Add to this the Real strenght and Brazil is an expensive place now. Just can't see how a wayward monger in Kilt has affected the price of anything. Can't see how this wayward monger can be blamed for Brazil simply being friggin expensive now.
