My time in Rio de Janeiro was amazing. I was there for four nights. I honestly probably needed just one more night to feel properly satiated. Despite only being in Rio for four nights, I feel like I got a lot accomplished. I had a great time in Rio. For me, it was on par with my visits to the Philippines. The sights and scale of the city gives it certain advantages. I give a slight nod to the Phils due to the length of time a girl is willing to stay with you. Still, Rio is awesome and I recommend anyone who is considering visiting to do so.
If you do your due diligence, you'll find tons of info on various websites regarding where to find pros throughout the city. The websites are great. This one in particular. In depth knowledge from so many people. Special thanks to those who responded to my inquiries via private messaging.
Finally, before I get into the specifics of what this forum is all about I want to say that its very true, the potential of obtaining non pros. I was fortunate (lucky) enough to get messaged by a native Carioca on social media. Ela nao sabe ingles. And my Portuguese is just plain awful. I'm being greedy). And lastly, there are many female tourists from other countries visiting. They also can be very friendly. In between mongering I partied in various locations and saw all the landmarks that makes Rio special. Your average local is very friendly. Lapa on the weekend is a madhouse. Very fun. So, my plane lands. I take a taxi to Copacabana. Taxis are relatively cheap but the metro is even cheaper. Unfortunately, there is no metro station from the airport. But the metro will take you to much of Rio aside from Barra the Tijuaca. I arrive at my apartment and get settled. Thanks to much research I know there is action to be had in the daytime. I take the metro to the Carioca station in Centro and voila I'm at Avenida Rio Branco building 185. I end up at Bellas Massagens. I'm with friends. Two take one each and so I'm stuck deciding between two of them. One speaks great English (a common theme among pro and non pro venues alike). My friends paid $100 reais (reals?) for 30 min with one girl each. For the hour I believe it was $150 reals. So I cannot decide between the girls. The one who speaks English says "both?" I ask how much. It's 200 reais for 30 min. Cha-ching! The dupla (threesome) was great. The sucked sans condom. Kissed. Kissed each other. Everything. Didn't try anal. Just not a fan. Sorry guys. It reminds me a little of Angeles city's walking street. Not nearly as long. A bit more rundown. A bit more cat waste. Equal amount of dogs running around. It's one big party. Nobody bothers you. Nobody even cares you're there. There are back alleys lined with women. And no these women are not ugly. And no you don't have to get there by 7 pm to catch the attractive ones. We were there late at night and there were some beautiful women there. Many more plastic women than I was expecting also. If there were 100 women at VM (there were more) I'the say 70 were at least moderately attractive. Fuckable. With about 20 stunners. I cannot express how satisfied I was with this place. I pounded one girl here for 65 reals. They also accept credit cards. Wow! I was really rough with the girl. Nothing too extreme or degrading but she really let me have me way with her and she seemed to enjoy it. The facilities were sufficiently clean. So I overpowered the other one grabbing my arm and grabbed the wrist of the one girl whose hand was in my pocket. I almost broke her wrist. She screamed in pain. I mean I clearly felt something being taken out of my pocket. Maybe she was a trainee IDK. So just be careful people. I'the been out by myself at night before with no problem. But I guess I looked like a mark on that night. Is it irony that the "safe" Copacabana is where a potential crime occurred whereas the "dangerous" VM is where I felt incredibly safe? Irony or just coincidence? Or maybe neither. Whatever.
My fingers hurt now. I had fun in Rio. I will definitely return. There's a lot more to explore. Every place I went had somebody who knew at least some English. Every terma. Every massage place. Vila Mimosa. Mabs. And the non GDP places. Obviously you shouldn't depend on that, but it is reassuring. Oh and everything is closed on Sundays. Hope this helps anyone who had questions. This article reveals that Rio state has no money to pay government employees. Also, the metro expansion for Rio Olympic tourists is interrupted. God help Rio.

Shame on us all.Nice wide-eyed report-good to read some enthusiasm about visiting Rio. Regarding going all the way with cariocas, its absolutely the way an they won't be offended. They are used to it from Brazilian men. Sex on 1st date?-absolutely possible even if they say just a BJ, kiss etc- get them into it and all will flow. Aint that much difference between a good GDP and a good non-pro. Have had some non-pros who were crazier and wilder than plros and of course vice versa but in general all high sex-drives. I heard 2 A2 was closed down. Is that true?Well sort of, the Copacabana location closed few years ago and then they opened up in Humatia, a much better facility. Henri club which was in a termas on Saturday night in Barra also moved to their own location in Botafogo but last I saw they closed.

I'm thinking that there may be a mad rush of GDPs on a Rio during that time. Additionally I'm thinking that the Termas may be at full throttle around that time as well.

All were really bad. The "most promising"of the three AS OUSADAS would not disclose there location when I called by telephone informing them I was in the building. Some BS reason that I have to book with a girl in advance. The building is 2 minutes from the metro station but after the effort it was not worth it. Copa beach is a large construction zone. The beach volleyball stadium is getting built almost right at the end of Princesa Isabel, and it looks terrifying. The whole thing is scaffolding type metal without the larger steel supports. Looks like it's made out of toothpicks. I'm no structural engineer, but I'm not sure how 15,000 people are supposed to walk around on that temporary structure without it falling down. Fortunately, my beach volleyball tickets are for the semi-finals, so if there's a disaster it should have happened by then.
The also built it too close to the water, and with the stormy seas we've had of late, they've had to erect a wall in front by the water's edge to prevent water from getting to the steel and cable areas.
They are also putting up large white tents everywhere as temporary broadcast areas and have a huge one in front of the copa palace which is the main Olympic merchandise center. Tents are getting put up all around the Lagoa, by Leme, and everywhere around the Maracana. I haven't been to Barra in a while, but I assume it's a bit worse out there as the majority of the events and the village are all out that way.

All media over the world is bashing Brazil right now. Corruption, unsafe, crime rate, pollution, Zika etc. I've no doubt that even though there are many problems i Rio the Olympic Games will be spectacular and memorable.
It seems like very few of the current Rio reports are made by guys who actually are in Rio. Anybody in Rio right now who can tell how the Leme-Copacabana beach looks like? What I heard it's looking like a giant construction yard with many large areas fenced off.
I just got back and can say pretty disappointed with the progress. In my mind all this construction should have been done on schedule since most are prefabricated structures that just need setting up like tents, bleachers etc. If I was attending any of these spectator events at the beach I would be weary of stability just because of rush job.
Construction going on Ave. Atlantica, beach, metro, barra de tijuca, Bike Path, etc. I can already see there are plenty of tourists on the streets, and construction still in progress. Geez!
They do have an Official Olympic store that has openned on the beach, right on Rua Figueiredo Magalhaes. Prices are reasonable for European and American tourists, but for locals, its pricey. For example, 130 R for a T-shirt. Then again, it is authentic olympic merchandise.
For those of you interested in enjoying northeastern food, music, etc. , at the fair in Sao Cristavao, you need to take bus # 474 from Nossa Snenhora, and it will drop you off right infront of the rear entrance, by Portao # 4. To get back, its easy as well. Right across the street from the maim entrance, there is a bus stop. Take # 473 to get back to Copa.

I entered Terma Monte Carlo around 10 pm yesterday. I must say that I have never seen such a great talent offered by Monte Carlo as long as I can remember. For instance, the people I rent the apartment from told me that their 1 bedroom apartment in Copacabana which cost 500,000 reals back in 2011 was worth nearly US $ 325,000 when the exchange rate was at 1.53 reals vs. 1 US $ (500000/1.53 = US $ 326,797). Whereas, the same 1 bedroom 500,000 reals apartment worth now at the exchange rate of 3.35 vs 1 US $ = US $149,253 (500,000/3. 35 = 149,253). That is a 45% drop in real estate value compared to US $. Mostly every real estate investor in Brazil compare their net worth to US $. In January 2016, the reals hit the lowest at 4.10 reals vs. 1 US $. The same 1 bedroom 500,000 apartment in Copacabana was worth $121,951 (500,000/4.10). Now that's a 63% drop in real estate value compared to 2011 market. This is one of main Brazilian are crying out loud because their net worth is nearly cut in half. This is the response I got from a friend who's father own's 9 apartments in Copacabana area. In summary, if my 9 properties which used to worth let's say 10 million reals at 1.53 US $ exchange rate were US $6. 53 million. Now the same 10 million reals 9 properties worth at the exchange rate of 3.35 = US $2.98 million. Imagine how frustrated each and every real estate investor feels right now in Brazil.

Also, do all massage centers offer FS?There aren't too many hotel options in Leblon. The best hotel is the Ritz Plaza (no affiliation with the Ritz Carlton brand). Stay away from the Marina Hotels, as they are shit. The Ceasar Park in Ipanema is alright, but it's a business hotel.
If you want to be in Leblon, the best bet is Airbnb. You'll probably be able to pick up a great apartment for about are $300/ night (less than USD 100).
Not all massage places are FS. You can usually tell by the pictures of the girls on the site. If they're fully clothed doing stupid yoga poses or wearing white lab coats, it's generally a rub&tug. If they're wearing tiny skirts, showing lots of cleavage, you'll likely get FS.
From Leblon, the best terma option is Solarium in Jardim Botanico. About a 20 minute walk from central Leblon. No options directly in Leblon as it's the most expensive residential neighborhood in the city.

To ease traffic congestion, city officials have declared three public holidays during the Games: August 5, the day of the opening ceremony; August 18, the day of the Olympic triathlon; and August 22, the day after the closing ceremony. City authorities have noted the possibility of declaring further holidays at the last minute. Authorities will also expand cargo delivery limitations in the South Zone and Centro to help with the flow of traffic.
While the following provides an overview of ground transportation options, personnel are encouraged to use a number of web and smart-phone apps to identify accurate estimates on travel times and suggested routes.
Public Transportation.
Subway (MetrôRio).
Rio's subway system (MetrôRio) consists of three lines: Line 1, Line 2, and Line 4. Line 1 serves the South Zone, including the Copacabana events cluster, and is an option to reach Maracanã Stadium. Line 2 connects the North Zone to Maracanã and the city center. Line 4, scheduled to begin limited* service on August 1, connects the General Osório station in Ipanema to Barra the Tijuca in the West Zone. From the Jardim Oceânico metro station, passengers will have to use a special Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line to reach the Barra the Tijuca competition venues.
*In an effort to limit Metro Line 4 ridership during the Olympics, authorities have suggested that Line 4 will be accessible exclusively to individuals who have a special Olympics fare card (Cartão Olímpico) and either a valid event ticket or Rio 2016 credentials.
MetrôRio will run Olympics-only trains to Maracanã stadium for the opening and closing ceremonies. Transit capacity for both ceremonies will be divided among the three stations closest to the stadium to accommodate the large audience. Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).
Rio's Olympic transportation strategy relies heavily on Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lanes – dedicated lanes on existing and separate roads for limited-stop bus routes. Operating lines during the Games will include the TransCarioca, TransOeste, and TransOlimpica. Each line runs two different services: Expresso (express) buses skip some of the stations, shortening the travel time between destinations. Many of the BRT routes are also serviced by city buses (Ônibus). Travelers also have the option of the standard service (Municipal) or premium service (Executivo, or frescão). While these premium buses may have luxury seats and air conditioning, they often have fewer routes and a higher fare that varies from route to route. Subway buses (Metrô na Superficie) are blue, grey, and white and have routes that start and end at subway stations.
Light Rail (VLT).
The Light Rail (VLT) is a system of trollies intended to revitalize Rio's port and downtown area by integrating many of the city's existing transportation networks (air, bus, train, subway, and boat). Upon completion, the system is expected to have three lines, comprised of 28 kilometers of rail and 32 stops. Although the VLT project does not connect to any Olympic sporting venues, it will improve access to many hospitality sites, including an Olympic Live Site, and guest accommodations established in the port area.
As of July, only a portion of Line 1 (between Santos Dumont and Parada dos Navios) is operational. Early test runs suggest that trips will take around 30 minutes, though that could change depending on volume. For more information about Rio's VLT system, visit www.vltcarioca.com.br.
Private Transportation.
Individuals in private vehicles, especially those without Olympic credentials, should expect significant congestion and extended travel time. Rio's mountainous terrain results in multiple choke points throughout the city, including at the intersection of major thoroughfares and at the entrances / exits to tunnels.
Although a number of express lanes will be specifically designated for those traveling to the Olympic events, only vehicles with a special Olympics Vehicle Access Pass (VAP) will be permitted to use those lanes. Non-accredited vehicles entering these lanes will be subject to a are $1,500 (USD $460) fine. The establishment of these express lanes may actually lead to more congestion for regular (non-credentialed) vehicles, particularly if non-express lanes are required to absorb the additional traffic.
In addition to delays and disruptions, private transportation may also have direct implications for security. Random criminal activity may occur, and those driving or traveling in private vehicles are encouraged to have tinted windows, keep windows rolled-up, lock doors, and secure valuables out of sight. If confronted with the threat of carjacking, drivers are advised to surrender the vehicle without hesitation. Previous incidents in which individuals have offered resistance have resulted in the rapid escalation of violence.
Finally, major roadways can run through, or next to, favelas (Brazilian slums or shanty towns), which creates the potential for protests or criminal activity to spread onto adjacent roadways. While authorities claim that the saturation of security forces should deter much of this spillover, travelers to Rio are encouraged to remain vigilant and cognizant of unanticipated security incidents, and to consider potential alternatives should impediments to travel arise.
Taxis.
Public and private taxis will also be available. Travelers are advised to use only accredited, well-marked taxis. Taxis are yellow and feature a blue / green stripe with the company name in white, red license plates on the front and back, and a functioning meter. If a vehicle does not have all of these characteristics, or if a taxi already has a passenger inside, individuals should refrain from using it.
Most drivers only accept cash, and it is possible that they will not be able to give change for large bills. Tipping is not required. Some drivers may propose a prepaid rate; this is illegal and generally more expensive than the real rate. If this happens, passengers should get out and flag another taxi. One exception, however, are trips to and from the airport, for which some companies may have a prepaid rate.
As travelers arrive at Galeão International Airport (GIG), after leaving baggage claim but before exiting the airport, there are booths with salespeople trying to connect individuals with a taxi driver. It is best to ignore them, as they are working for commission. Immediately upon exiting the airport through the glass doors will be a taxi queue with an official attendant putting travelers into reputable taxis.
Private taxi services include 99 Taxis, Easy Taxi, and Uber. Travelers should look for proper signage and arrange transportation using the official app, rather than hailing vehicles off the street.

Credit and Debit Card Fraud.
ATM and Points-of-Sale Skimming.
ATM skimmers enable criminals to clone cards or break into bank accounts. Criminals install hardware onto a machine's credit card reader, which grabs data from the card's magnet strip when swiped by the victim. Brazilian criminals are adept at ATM skimming and use a variety of tactics to continuously exploit cash machines. This ranges from basic schemes like imitating ATM receipts to portray legitimacy to installing entirely fake ATM terminals in some locations. Brazilian cybercriminals have been observed developing ATM-specific malware to use in combination with overlay skimming devices, which enables them to compromise the screen and technical interface of an ATM. The malware creates a fake display to mimic that of the financial institution but sends data to the criminals instead of the bank. This tactic leads to the theft of both user-input data and card information.
Similar to ATM skimmers, Brazilian criminals also compromise Point-of-Sale systems with malware to obtain the information stored in the magnetic strip of a credit / debit card as it is swiped for payment. Because this scheme often requires access to the payment hardware, it is often perpetrated by those on the inside. In one case, waiters at exclusive restaurants were given a share of stolen money for using compromised point-of-sale machines with their customers. While it is common practice in North America and Europe to hand credit cards directly to wait staff, wireless electronic payment terminals are typically brought to the table or check-out counter in Brazil. Personnel should maintain physical control of credit / debit cards and request that point-of-sale transactions are processed in-sight of the customer. While chip-and-PIN cards are not immune to skimming, they are generally more secure and harder to clone and should be used when possible.
Best Practices.
Personnel should be aware of the heightened risk to their debit and credit card information, particularly when withdrawing cash. Employing the following best practices can help protect against fraud or theft:
Use an ATM located inside of a bank branch, mall, or hotel lobby rather than one located on the street.
Be aware of the ATM's surroundings and any possible loiterers.
Do not accept help from strangers when using an ATM.
Do not use ATMs that show possible signs of tampering.
Inspect the machine for items that may have been installed over or around the PIN pad. Avoid ATMs with attachments pointed in the direction of the PIN pad. This may be used to house a camera and record your PIN.
Use your free hand to guard your PIN while entering it on a keypad to prevent recording by pinhole cameras.
Lightly pull the card slot. Signs of tampering include a loose or detached card slot, or the presence of double-sided tape (used by many "skimmers" to ensure quick and easy removal).
If the credit or debit card is retained in an ATM, press the "Cancela" or "Anula" buttons to cancel the operation and contact the bank immediately.

Health and Medical.
Rio de Janeiro has a modern system of hospitals and clinics with extensive experience in handling major events which draw millions of visitors. The Rio 2016 organizing committee is installing treatment capacity for demand twice as high as what was seen during the London Games. The city, state, and federal governments are combining to increase staffing at hospitals and control potential outbreaks of communicable diseases. Health monitoring is being stepped up to avoid outbreaks of infectious disease or other illnesses.
Emergency services are responsive, and travelers may call a private ambulance company or dial 192 for ambulance transport to a public hospital. Callers must stay on the line to provide their location, as there is no automatic tracking of phone calls. Foreign nationals are entitled to emergency medical treatment in public hospitals, which will admit and treat all foreigners as if they were part of Brazil's national health system (SUS); this benefit does not extend to Brazil's private healthcare facilities. Public hospitals, however, tend to be crowded.
Some health care practitioners have had training in the USA And speak English. Most local physicians do not accept credit cards and require cash payments. It is advisable that travelers carry with them proof of health and medical evacuation insurance. The USA Department of State recommends visitors purchase private air medical evacuation insurance before traveling.
Prescription and over-the-counter medicines are widely available and, in most cases, comparable to the United States, though brand names are more difficult to find. Many pharmacies are open 24 hours daily. If you require particular medicines regularly, travelers should bring a supply with them or make arrangements to have them mailed. Consult a physician about necessary medications before travel.
Brazil requires no specific vaccination for entry into the country but all travelers should have routine immunizations: yearly flu shots, MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), TDaP (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis), varicella (chickenpox), and polio. Most travelers should also consider vaccinations for hepatitis A and Typhoid. If traveling outside of Rio de Janeiro and depending on the length of stay, hepatitis be, malaria, rabies, and yellow fever, may also be needed in the form of medication or pre-vaccination. I entered Terma Monte Carlo around 10 pm yesterday. I must say that I have never seen such a great talent offered by Monte Carlo as long as I can remember. One girl told me that Centaurus will remain close. There were nearly 8 girls for every man inside as I noticed only 8-10 guys vs. 80+ girls. I felt like I was in a playboy mansion as there were hotties everywhere. I had a hard time deciding who to pick. I end up picking a model type, 21 years old, tall girl name Jenny who's completa. Solarium cost now 465 reals for 40 minutes plus entrance but you get 40 reals off every Monday, therefore it cost you 425. I still can't complain with 3.30 exchange rate vs. US $. There aren't too many hotel options in Leblon. The best hotel is the Ritz Plaza (no affiliation with the Ritz Carlton brand). Stay away from the Marina Hotels, as they are shit. The Ceasar Park in Ipanema is alright, but it's a business hotel.
If you want to be in Leblon, the best bet is Airbnb. You'll probably be able to pick up a great apartment for about are $300/ night (less than USD 100).
Not all massage places are FS. You can usually tell by the pictures of the girls on the site. If they're fully clothed doing stupid yoga poses or wearing white lab coats, it's generally a rub&tug. If they're wearing tiny skirts, showing lots of cleavage, you'll likely get FS.
From Leblon, the best terma option is Solarium in Jardim Botanico. About a 20 minute walk from central Leblon. No options directly in Leblon as it's the most expensive residential neighborhood in the city.Hey,

Hello team, Cartman here. Had a chance over the past week to catch up on the Termas, which I really on do when guests are in town (such as the famous Churroman).
With respect to all the following, always bear in mind that people's tastes are different. And frankly if there is 1 smoking hot girl in a T or private full of other non-attractive ones, sometimes that's all that matters. That said, these are my general impressions.
SOLARIUM.
When you factor in the Uber to and back, even on a night without traffic, you're looking at around BRL 45-50 (from Copa) extra on your cost column. If you like big-butted, thick-thighed, bottle-blond, older girls (mid-late 20's), then Solarium is for you. It's not really for me. Price is slightly higher than MC -- I think the entrada is like BRL 120 now. 40 minutes with entrada and a water ran my buddy about BRL 500 but somehow they threw a 10 BRL discount on it. Has some girls who speak English and will start propositioning you in it if they hear you talking it. This is a big turn-off for me but would help non-portuguese speakers. Seriously the talent here seems tired to me, older girls who don't have a real vivacious vibe and seem to have some hang-ups (one Terma discovery this time was a number of girls who wouldn't take shots in the mouth). This time some of the new girls were from Solarium, including one slim 24 year old lighter skinned blonde "Sabrina" . I went with a new girl of darker persuasion, who (sadly) had 1 kid. It was OK but not awesome in the room. Her DFK included trying to roto-rooter her tongue down my throat repeatedly. Again, I weep for the days when MC really had some hotties who were true "Safadas" and knew how to work it. 3/5 of quality to value ratio. I wouldn't rush back here but it's better than Solarium in Zona Sul.

Took a trip to what BubbaBoy used to call "the dark side" (of Presidente Vargas). Were there on a Thursday night so it was pretty packed, around 8 pm. Entrada was something like BRL 50 but came with right to a few beers, I think. Room was maybe 170? I don't remember. They ask you if you want to change into a Robe or go straight into the boate with your street clothes. It was a mix. There were probably 20 girls, 17 of whom were really fat-ass even fat. Big body types. And some really not good ones. Two interesting black girls, one with curly hair and a tight body, one older one with a less-than-awsome face but a great butt. She did a strip show. Loud and crowded, hopping. By contrast on the same night 502 was *dead* - like 4 dudes and maybe 20 girls too (see below). I wish MV30 had better chicks but I think it's luck of the draw. My friends here tell me the place has been super slow in recent months. When we showed up from MV30 at around 8:15 pm on a Thursday, it was. Not sure why. They've closed the smoking room due to the lack of movement / customers. Some of the suites have been remodeled. 1 HR in a suite is still BRL 250 I believe. Entrada may be 20 or 30 with some drinks. My drink tab hit 70+ BRL due to buying for some girls I know. There were probably 3-4 doable girls, mainly of the dark variety. 502 has always been about finding the 1-2 girls who are way hotter than the rest of the place. I hope it doesn't close. The lack of movement is bad. Not sure why the after-work Centro crowd is avoiding it. Uber picks up easily in Centro now, BTW. When it's BRL 23 back to Copa, it's not even worth walking to the metro at Uruguiana late at night. 3/5, maybe 4/5 if you factor value in.

I'll be fucked if I can remember the pricing. I think it was BRL 70 for entrada, but that was "consumption" -- that is, you can apply it to drinks. Didn't session so don't know room rates. The older desk woman from T65 is now working the desk here, we had a nice little catch-up chat. I can never understand why Cancun only has 1 shower (of 4) in the sauna area that has hot water. As far as I know it's the only place to shower outside of the room. Am I missing something? Boate was pretty packed on a Weds night, lots of Centro-crowd guys drinking and rubbing up on chicks. Basically did not see a single stunner here. Also surprising lack of black girls. Was kind of bummed, as in the past (again, 4+ years ago), Cancun was good for some hotties who really didn't belong there. I'd even heard that a bunch of T65 girls moved here. But maybe, judging by the quality I saw, that's why 65 closed. Shrug. Maybe it's better on a different night. 3/5 only because I still harbor a soft-spot for the place, 2/5 on quality.

A group of young American black men came in and the girls were *all over* them like, ahem, white on rice. They certainly seemed happy to be there, lots of loud talking in the "Americans abroad" way. PRIVATES.
-Emporio Do Banho continues to have great pricing (BRL 180 for the hour). Cute staff. Nice facilities. I like it a lot. Girl I picked was a told dead fish, despite being 21 years old, firm tan carioca body, all natural. Ended up just giving her a massage and talking to her. Total waste. Wouldn't even let me go down on her -- said "too sensitive" because of her period (I guess she saved me). Eeee. Luck of the draw = bad. My buddy had a much better experience.

Concluded my first week in Brazil, which started in Rio.

I just did a quick search on booking and hotels that I've stayed in for less than $100 in the past are all charging $500 per night OR MORE. I got my apartment from airbnb 9 months ago, there might still be some available after people cancel because of the zika phobia but still won't be cheap and your options will be a bit limited.
Yes I was in Rio and a few other cities during world cup. The termas were decent, there were more girls for sure but there was also a ton more guys. Hello team, Cartman here. Had a chance over the past week to catch up on the Termas, which I really on do when guests are in town (such as the famous Churroman).
With respect to all the following, always bear in mind that people's tastes are different. And frankly if there is 1 smoking hot girl in a T or private full of other non-attractive ones, sometimes that's all that matters. That said, these are my general impressions.
SOLARIUM.
When you factor in the Uber to and back, even on a night without traffic, you're looking at around BRL 45-50 (from Copa) extra on your cost column. If you like big-butted, thick-thighed, bottle-blond, older girls (mid-late 20's), then Solarium is for you. It's not really for me. Price is slightly higher than MC -- I think the entrada is like BRL 120 now. 40 minutes with entrada and a water ran my buddy about BRL 500 but somehow they threw a 10 BRL discount on it. Has some girls who speak English and will start propositioning you in it if they hear you talking it. This is a big turn-off for me but would help non-portuguese speakers. Seriously the talent here seems tired to me, older girls who don't have a real vivacious vibe and seem to have some hang-ups (one Terma discovery this time was a number of girls who wouldn't take shots in the mouth). There is always generally 1 non-white-ish girl, but this time she was older and not really to Cartman's taste. I am always disappointed at Solarium, especially when I compare it to 5+ years ago. But that's the situation in Rio overall. 2. 5/5 including quality to value ratio.
MONTE CARLO.
40 minutes with free entrada and a bottle of water for me came to around BRL 376. For my buddy with water and a drink for the chick was close to 475 I believe. There's still like 30% girls at MC who have been there, seemingly, 3-4+ years if not more. I guess they are somehow earning for the house, because I have no idea why else MC lets them stay. This time some of the new girls were from Solarium, including one slim 24 year old lighter skinned blonde "Sabrina" . I went with a new girl of darker persuasion, who (sadly) had 1 kid. It was OK but not awesome in the room. Her DFK included trying to roto-rooter her tongue down my throat repeatedly. My friends here tell me the place has been super slow in recent months. When we showed up from MV30 at around 8:15 pm on a Thursday, it was. Not sure why. They've closed the smoking room due to the lack of movement / customers. Some of the suites have been remodeled. 1 HR in a suite is still BRL 250 I believe. Entrada may be 20 or 30 with some drinks. My drink tab hit 70+ BRL due to buying for some girls I know. CANCUN.
I'll be fucked if I can remember the pricing. I think it was BRL 70 for entrada, but that was "consumption" -- that is, you can apply it to drinks. Didn't session so don't know room rates. The older desk woman from T65 is now working the desk here, we had a nice little catch-up chat. I can never understand why Cancun only has 1 shower (of 4) in the sauna area that has hot water. As far as I know it's the only place to shower outside of the room. Am I missing something? Boate was pretty packed on a Weds night, lots of Centro-crowd guys drinking and rubbing up on chicks. Basically did not see a single stunner here. Also surprising lack of black girls. Was kind of bummed, as in the past (again, 4+ years ago), Cancun was good for some hotties who really didn't belong there. I'd even heard that a bunch of T65 girls moved here. -Emporio Do Banho continues to have great pricing (BRL 180 for the hour). Cute staff. Nice facilities. I like it a lot. But it's not yet (Friday 5th) nearly as crowded as I thought. And I see mainly 2 types of tourists: backpackers (who don't have money to hobby) and older / families. So I'm not sure how much benefit there will be.
I've had 3 girls come to see me at my apartment from pretty far away (Zona Norte, bem afastado) - some of whom are taking 2 hrs to get here and braving Olympic traffic. So I have a sense that it's not raining money (or they'd go somewhere closer).
