I went Mosaico 3 times and didn't find greatness but to each his own.
I find they hustle too hard -especially the ones on the veranda trying to lure people in. Attitude bad.

Rooms are dirty in VM, drinks are as expensive as Mosaic, Food is way more expensive than Copacabana. Most days at night, it is stressful because there are too many guys it is not more laid back than mosaic. It is very smelly. I'm French so excuse my English mistakes.
Sao Paulo is "the" city. No big beaches like in Rio, it's only buildings and buildings. So don't expect to feel like in Rio. I did many cities in Brazil and each city has it's own identity and soul.
Sao Paulo is nice to visit. You'll meet so many people there. I tend to think that paulistas are more approachable than cariocas. I just speak for myself here. It's what I felt.
As you can imagine, the food is way better in sao paulo since you have so many restaurants and options. If you like japanese food, you can go to "liberdade" it's the japanese neighbourhood (very big japanese community in Brazil. More than a million).
For the mongering, the prices are high. In the thermas you can expect at least 250/300 for the less expensive ones. For the good ones like the Scandalo or the Bomboa expect at least 450/500 reais for the short time.
I found that the best solution in Sao paulo was the escorts. There are plenty of pretty girls and you can expect to pay between 100 and 250 reais for one hour depending on the girl and your negotiation skills.
When you go to see a girl in her appartment, always take your passport with you otherwise the security in the lobby won't let you go upstairs very easy.
I advise you to stay on the avenida Paulista in the Jardim neighbourhood. It's the perfect spot for us. A lot of escorts in this part of the town, and it's very nice and safe. A lot of restaurants, attractions, young crowd etc.

With that in mind, I will keep it brief. Rio de Janeiro is one of the most beautiful cities in the world from a geographical perspective. The urban beaches are a blast for men looking for sun, surf and eye candy. Since you haven't been to either, I believe Rio should be the first place you visit. Ideally, you should stay in Ipanema or Copacabana. You will find plenty of fantastic sex and have a memorable vacation at the same time.

OK so I will give you my fast run down in Rio from just a couple months ago.
Day spa Eden. 150 1/2 hour 200 full hour all my money is in reals. If I were you guys just do the 1/2 hour. It's a day session not supposed to be love making session. Finally landed at rio santo dumont on Monday the 15th May. I was delayed by more than 4 hrs. So all the plans I had in mind went haywire. Ubered to Centro for 7 R. I met pipelayer in Centro. What a nice guy. Took metro to copacabana together. I checked in at Premier copacabana. Quickly changed money and messaged Pipe to see if he was up for Monte Carlo. Pipe didn't want to go so I went to MC alone. Manager Ivan is still there. Quick shower and on to boîte. About 15 girls and 5 guys. Overall quality seemed down but I found 1 to my liking. Quick shower and on to the boîte. There were about 15 girls there which got to as many as 30-35 girls as the night went on but there were no more than 3-4 guys there at any time during the night. I hadn't been to Centaurus in years so I wanted to go otherwise, the value is not there. I will not be going there again anytime soon.

Hit Centro early around 11. Went to bel Prazer. Rio Branco 185 # 2114. About 15 girls. Picked Suelli. R140 for 40 minutes. Not a great session. Left a bit unhappy. Walked around for a bit before going to Rua do Rosario 135 # 301. Only 4 girls. Didn't like anyone. I have had nice girls here in the past but not today. My second last day in rio. Called it an early night yesterday so I was well rested in the morning. Went to the beach and spent some time there before going to Centro. First stop Dudas. My last day in rio. Got up and it was raining. Checked weather. It's supposed to rain all day. That's ok. I'll be doing indoor activities anyways.
Got to Centro and I decided to check out all the top Casas to see if there is anything special. Went to Dudas, bel prazer, emporia do banjo and 2 others. Nothing rang my bell. I did have an ok time in rio. Nothing memorable. I hardly see any reason to come back. Here are my observations -.
1. Until 4-5 years ago, there were always a few knockout girls to be found but no more. I did not see 1 knockout girl in 5 days, even in top termas. I saw may be 1 or 2 girls that I would rate 8 or 8. 5. 1 at Centaurus and 1 at MC. Other than that, all were 7 or below. Mostly 5's and 6's. So, good looking working girls are almost non-existent IMHO.
2. Quality of sex is down big time as well. I only had 2 good sessions in 5 days. Rest were all below par.
3. Girls attitude is not as good as before. I remember the time when at luomo or mc, if I bought the girl a drink, she would be very thankful and always gave me the first sip of the drink. Good old days. That attitude is way gone.
4. It's not cheap either. It's more expensive than most other places in the world. I don't mind paying rio prices for good looking girls providing good service. But if I'm getting 10-20% decent sessions, I feel like I'm wasting my time and money in rio. Again, IMHO.
5. I sorely miss help and luomo.
Fkks are way cheaper. Good food and soft drinks are included in nominal entrance fee. Great clean facilities. European girls. Most of them have professional attitude but if you take them for 1 HR. Session, I found them to be warmer, obedient and trying harder to please. That's 100 euros or 365 reals for 1 HR. Of course, 30 minutes. For 50 euros is pretty cheap and available. I had a few 30 min. And 1 HR. Sessions in January when I was there. Never a bad session. Some good and some very good. You get to sit with the girl and screen / feel her out before going in for a session. For a short 3-4 day trip, I think fkks are unbeatable. Thailand is my favourite for a longer vacation. IMHO.
I know and understand that mongering everywhere has been in decline. At this rate, I can't imagine what'll happen in next 10 years. That's why I take a few trips every year now when I'm young, working and can easily afford it. Almost everyone everywhere is complaining and rightly so. But we still got to make the best of what we have.
São Paulo is next. I'm going there for the first time. Planning to go to top 5 boîtes and top 10 clinicas in 5 days. Let's see what happens. If I don't like São Paulo either, I should be done with Brazil for a while. Comparison between the two cities is inevitable and forthcoming. Stay tuned in the São Paulo thread for daily updates.

I will be doing my first trip to Brazil in June so I can't speak about the situation in Rio just yet. But I think these constant remarks on different boards here about the decline of quality probably has got a lot to do with the effect of desensitization. I did have an ok time in rio. Nothing memorable. I hardly see any reason to come back. Here are my observations -.
1. Until 4-5 years ago, there were always a few knockout girls to be found but no more. I did not see 1 knockout girl in 5 days, even in top termas. I saw may be 1 or 2 girls that I would rate 8 or 8. 5. 1 at Centaurus and 1 at MC. Other than that, all were 7 or below. Mostly 5's and 6's. I just finished 15 days there a week ago and I am now in Bogota and leave for Rio in a couple days. I don't know of many places worldwide that are like that. The closest 2 that jump to mind would be SL in CR and Blackbeards in DR.
Obviously the more of a local language you speak the better. I don't speak much Portuguese at all and still have a great time in Rio. I have found many more english speakers in Rio than in Medellin. Also knowing Spanish helps sometimes. Some girls do speak Spanish or at least understand enough that they can guess what you are trying to say.
I don't spend much time in either Centro area, just not my favorite venues. During the daytime both places are reasonably safe as long as you act sensibly. Poblado is mainly a rich and upscale residential and business area in Medellin, yes they are some tourists there but its not a tourist destination per se.

Interestingly enough, I look for the total opposite when traveling to bunda land. Traveling solo is not a crutch. Get a small pocket phrase book to help with Portuguese. You can find one at the library or buy one on amazon. It will help you a lot, especially if you already have decent Spanish. I used one on my first trip 11 years ago and it was a great help. In fact I have it here with me now.
Check out Airbnb for a place to stay. Lots of good deals. I stayed in a nice apt last week. It only cost $344 for 7 nights ($49 a night). Other option is to use something like hotels dot com.

My understanding is that although the clientele may be the business crowd they are not shooting to be the highest price terma in Centro like they were in the past, for obvious reasons that's why they failed. A 40 minute program at 4 x4 is approximately $105 (340) and at T65 it is $110. Both scenarios with waived entrance.
As Cartman correctly pointed out the "massage" line item is the price of the girl.
I don't pay my employees for each way of their commute to work. We agree on their salary, and then they figure out how the fuck to get to the office to earn their salary. Sure, some get by-law transportation expense reimbursement, but it comes with a salary deduction. Same rule for ho's. Don't quote me BRL $400 and then ask me to pay your uber or taxi. I gave them this feedback but you know how much good that did.

The termas have a lot of older obviously single mom types, loads. As a city, centro, the night life in Lapa doesn't have many dance clubs and feels like a back water than anything modern. There's not much action in and around Copa. Rio beach area (EG, Copa) is really an old folks retirement community. Ocean's cold now. The people seem rather apathetic and the girls are doing first or 2nd wave feminism. I have met some awesome girls in Brazil just not in Rio.
I'll stop the harping and just ask for any other recommendations in Brazil. I've been to Salvador and that's a hard place to pick up. Someone mentioned Parana? Like Curitiba or Floripa? Belo?

You have to connect it to your Facebook account, I believe, to "verify" yourself and link profile pics / other pics and info from FB (including age).
After extensive use, I'd say at least 1/3 of the girls (at least the hot ones) in Rio on Tinder are GDPs. If you're looking for GDPs, there are better ways to find them. If you're looking to use Tinder for civilians, it's a bit annoying actually. The hardest part of Tinder is getting girls to plan to meet up. This may be a Rio thing. My advice is to go to some termas and have some sessions with girls before inviting them in your place. Freelancers are miss or hit. Some people may pay 200 reais all night and some people may pay 400 reais one hour for the same girl. The communication is important.
A) Use Airbnb, there are many apartments that are girl friendly the prices depend on owners, taxes are often added and rate change.
B) I know some owners that rent out apartments, You only pay when you arrive in Brazil, the apartments are girl friendly and next to the actions. One month stay prices vary from 1500 to 6000 reais. It depends if it is one room, two room, three room or 4 room bedroom apartment, opposite or not opposite the beach. Most apartments are in Copacabana next to actions.
C) live in a love motel because it is already girl friendly but it is more costly than Apartments.
Hotels are not girl friendly unless you registered a woman in advance, most hotels don't like hookers especially the ones next to the actions. There are some hotels that accept but you must pay additional price.

Went to the joint on Rua Uruguaiana 24 two times last week. 5 different floors if I remember correct with a bar on each floor and a few dirty and very simple cabins. Went to Cancun tonight at 5 pm and stayed for a few hours. Saw two girls I would be ready to make programe with at the given price point. That one sentence is gold. Having a game plan when you are visiting a country with limited time is everything. If you are travelling to a particular area of the city, you also should have Plan be and see if Plan A doesn't work out. I tend to shop and research the massage places online and make appointments which usually works. But what if doesn't. Girl doesn't show. Regular shows up. Bad experience, etc; then go to other plans. That doesn't mean there are days when you don't do field research, it just means you need to have a plan to make the most of your time. My friends will want to be near the beach. I would be grateful for some recommendations of good places to stay such as hotels in this area. I have also read AirBnB is also popular in Rio. Is this a better option than a hotel? If you know of good apartments to look at that would also be helpful. I can read reviews online but recommendations from others who know Rio well are more valuable.

With the Metro you get to Centro in no time. Go on booking.com and use the map view to find a good place. Be near a metro station to simplify getting around. No need for taxi if all you do is go between beach hotel and centro.
For the single traveler especially with a car, you can book a Motel as a real hotel. Comodore is one, strategically near the Airport. I have used it as a first and last night and sometimes more nights base. You sleep in the love hotel, breakfast included and you call a garota in whenever you feel like it. Totally private, safe and hassle free.

Regardless who you rent from or whatever agency you decide to use, I highly suggest you ask if there is any construction going on in that building or its surroundings during your stay. Seems there is always some form of restoration going on somewhere, and it can be really annoying listening to constant hammering and drilling going on all freaken day. Good luck!

Ticket price is 4. 30 RS. Best thing is to buy a pre-pago metrorio card for 5. 00 RS and load it up for use. You need to buy from the ticket booth (minimum charge is 5 RS) but after that you can recharge at the many machines and avoid waiting in line for tickets. Choose the right barrier to go through. Use the ones signed for metrocard. There are barriers for Riocards as well (a different travel card).
2) I haven't been here since 2015 so the tram lines on Rio Branco were a surprise. As was the advertising sign for 4 x4 on the street sign for Rua Buenos Aires on Rio Branco!
3) as you come out of the metro on Rua Miguel Couto, take any of the roads leading off it and you will have options (prives, termas) on these streets. Alfandega, Buenos Aires, Rosario and Ouvidor. After the barrier, if you walk straight ahead you will come to Rua Miguel Couto and the Rio Branco options, if you turn left you will come out on Av. Presidente Vargas and can cross over to the 'dark side' options.
4) arrived at 4 x4 at 5 pm. Was fairly quiet and was a lot livelier when I was leaving at 7 pm. Seems to be pretty much the same as it was on my last visit in 2015. Planning to check out some termas. It seems most of them are in el centro. I have heard el centro is not safe in night. I am able to manage some time only after 7 pm on weekdays. I will have to travel from south so will be taking metro. I will appreciate your input on this. Which termas are in safe area and at walkable distance from metro station?

It's nothing fancy, you eat from plastic tables setup in the street. I haven't eaten there since 2014, but it wasn't expensive and is a good local restaurant, you can look up reviews on the internet.

With work activities this week it was hard to get to the termas. I managed 4 x4 on Monday and MV30 last night.
4 x4. Arrived around 5 pm. It was still pretty quiet but it gets busier in the evening after 7. In reply to an earlier comment, I haven't seen any of the bare chested guys strutting around like I did several years ago. Maybe they are there in the evening? But I haven't seen them in the late afternoon. I went with Larissa. She reminded me in some ways of Mayara Shelson in body shape. Great bunda, thin waist, small tits. As you walk down Mayrink Veiga, just before you come to MV30, the road on the right (Alcantara Machado) is where T31 is located (red Neon sign saying Club31). I've been a few times but never sessioned, some guys on the forum like it.

The best fish I've had in Rio is in:
A) Paella on the main strand at Buzios, after days of water taxi between the beaches with a 18 yo negra BBFS unlimited, for free (great while it lasted).

In my experience I always eat fish including grilled fish, sushi etc at Churrasco do Kilo Copacabana posto 5-.
I always eat grilled salmon at Brasilieiro, Ave Atlantica and The Kilo on Siqueria Campos isn't bad either.
A 3rd spot is Brasiliero off Nossa Senhora on the little square where Hotel Debret is located. Sorry -addy escapes me but theres only 2 restaurants there and both brazilian and v good grilled fish.
Even the world famous,150 year old but a lil pricey Noca Capela in Lapa has good salmon etc and grilled fish.

Popped into Cancun wiskeria the other night. Very quiet. They let me go upstairs and take a look in the boate, but there was a lot of confusion upstairs with the manager there freaking out about me not putting a robe on to walk into the boate (even though I speak good portuguese and explained). Consumption is BRL 70 in the wiskeria, but if later you go up to the boate and robe up, they'll charge you the boate entrada as well.
What actually pissed me off about the wiskeria wasn't the wiskeria pricing, it was that they add a 10 pct service charge to your entire bill including the full programa. I had an hour upstairs for BRL 330 and with the 70 consumption it should have come to BRL 400. But it was BRL 440. And when I asked them to explain the difference, it was "10 pct service charge" on everything. Kinda poor form, I thought. I had been planning to tip the server anyway, but that was kind of lame to have it forced on me.
Now I know a bunch of you are like, Cartman you cheap bastard! OK, fair enough, what's USD 12 or so between friends right? But I just though it was kind of clip-jointy to do.
By the way the boate was way more hoppin' then the wiskeria. If you can find a gal or two to keep you company in the wiskeria -- and maybe you can identify them with a quick recce in the boate -- so be it. But sometimes the robe and madness in the boate is more fun.

It is written nao cobramos 10 por cento de servicio. (we don't charge service) If you paid you got ripped off by these parasites like many gringos. I never paid any service charge in wiskeria.
In Brazil you have to know how to say no. I hate tipping people because most them don't deserve that's why I never tip in this country. I only pay service charge in the restaurant when the service charge is not hand written. In the restaurants the service charge is not hand written. If you speak Portuguese, next time read the paper you recieve in any wiskeria. There is no service charge in any brothel in Rio, there is only 10 per cent fee if you pay by card in some brothel but it is officially written.
