Bad news. The Museu Paulista is closed for renovation and some people even predict that it will open only in 2022! In 2022 it will be the 300th anniversary of Brazil's independance.

The only thing I didn't like about my last visit to São Paulo, in May, was the lack of good restaurants near my hotel. A) The ones that are held by one of the national forums. The invitation is send on the forum and you only have to say that you'll come.
B) The ones that are by a group of friends. These churrascos are less formal, more "impromptu" and are organized by people that will pass the invitation to you. As you said very few reports emanate from GP Guia. A total of 22 reports. 3 positive. 0 neuteur or negative.
One poster even said that going there is very expensive. He added that staying in his hotel to "play with himself" is priceless (Bater punheta sozinho no hotel nao tem preco).
Will I visit this place. I don't know yet. As I mentioned frequently I'm not really a fan of boîte (I don't like to pay entrance fees). The R$500 per se for the garota doesn't bother me that much though. For the same price I still prefer going to a regular bar and try to debunk a non-pro. As I'm not a newbie in São Paulo. On a forum like this one, the description of the physiscal prowess of a GDP is mandatory, if not it is like judging a restaurant only by reading the menu and looking at the pictures of the plates. You have to taste it in order to profess a sound judgment!
I have visited, almost regularly for the last 10 years, Clinica Cancioneiro and it is still one of my favorite spot. I remember the time when Hector was still there. What a colourfull person he is! It was easy for me to go there when I was based in Moema. Now that I stay closer to Centro, I have to think twice before taking a long ride there. I'll probably do it in September. What is convenient if you go to the barrio where is located Clinica Cancioneiro is that you can (or could) make a tour of different clinicas / privês that are close to each other: Clinica Cancioneiro (former Hector II) , Espaço Morumbi (former Cubo verde) , Privê Jaceru (not a big loss because that privê was a real shit hole) , and there is another Clinica whic name I have forgotten (just off Roque Petroni near Santo Amaro. There was also another clinica just in front of the preciding one. I even escorted a ISG member there in 2008). Not to mention the boite like Café Gaugin that cater a certain type of clientele. We can say that in terms of hobbying facilities, this region (Brooklin Novo / Berrini) is self-sufficient.

I would like to add my 2 cents to this discussion.
Some people (me included) are sensitive to the illusion of a normal date. A prive or a clinica is much more of a mecanical experience. People who prefer to pay R$500 - R$600 to take a girl out from a boite is often the type that values relaxation, no time limit and the general feel of involvment from the garota. Not all men are wired in a way that they can get off with a girl (working girl or otherwise) without getting to know her a little bit and without waiting in a line to have sex with the girl you think but don't know if you like.
The men who are sensitive to this type of illusion (me included) also may prefer to spend a few hours in the bar or in a restaurant with the girl before going to bed to work up that illusion of a real date.
Some men (me included) don't get off that easily. It might take a few hours. So TLN might be required. I am not talking about erectile disfunction. There are pills to handle that kind of problems. I am talking about getting off requires relaxation and arousal. For some it requires chemistry which the environment in a prive or a clinica normally just doesn't provide.

Words give a better description in my mind than a score which is highly subjective anyway and most of the time needs elaboration to be of general objective meaning.

Boites like Cafe Photo, Scandallo Lounge and Bomboa are certainly more easily handled by inexperienced gringos, I don't think Spy Bar is in this category if it is anything like W, Jardim America, WE or Garden (all boites run by owners of Spy Bar previously). These clubs were mostly catered to lokals who don't want to go to more publicly known places like Cafe Photo and you would not have any guarantee to find someone speaking or even understanding any English.

Yesterday I visited this Fernando Fefão's new venue.
The CLínica is very near do Congonhas airport, a very convenient location.
Fefão received me personally and showed me all the place. His staff if very simpathetic and will provide gringos all needed assistence. Al mejor credit cards accepted.
House is all new, very nice waiting room with all amenities (coffe, mineral wather, comfortable couches, wide screen TV ). This is the place were the GDP's line up for presentation. Yesterday there were seven girls avaliable.

I would like to add my 2 cents to this discussion.
Some people (me included) are sensitive to the illusion of a normal date. A prive or a clinica is much more of a mecanical experience. People who prefer to pay R$500. R$600 to take a girl out from a boite is often the type that values relaxation, no time limit and the general feel of involvment from the garota. But right now, after 5h pm, the waiting time is simply killing me! I hope it won't kill the place in the long term.
I've heard that they have new rooms. I only hope that they are better than those at the other end of the patio because these ones are no larger than a filthy broom cupboard.
There is also a new phenomenon that I observed during my last trip in May: some local mongerers are not to happy with the sudden invasion of Gringos. For the same ratio quality / price, I guess that the other Vani's venue is a judicious place to go. Nice rooms, the waiting room is not overcrowded and a good manager. To each is own but I don't have fun anymore at Red Way.

I spent a lot of time at Redway during the week and I would definitely still highly recommend it. As it's been said the place gets busy after five at night and it is frustrating to wait for rooms and sometimes it is frustrating to be in one of the smaller rooms, but in general there's a great selection of girls of all different shapes and sizes and it changes during the week as new gdps start up, so you really cannot go wrong.
A couple of days during the week, ABG and I showed up there at two or three in the afternoon and there were only 2 or 3 guys waiting and girls coming in every half an hour-you had your pick of whichever girl you wanted in whichever room you wanted. I didn't do a programa in one of the new rooms so I can only report that they have nicer beds, bathrooms, and big mirrors.
I spent a good amount of time with Sara, a tall, very beautiful mulata. 20 or so years old with dark hair and beautiful eyes, amazing lips, and long legs. My only regret is that I didn't kick the ass of this motherfucker. I was ready to fight with him. I have sometimes a very bad temper. But my French friend told me to forget about it. I was frustrated for the rest of the evening. In more than 10 years of hobbying in São Paulo (and 33 years of travel in Brazil) it was the first time I had a problem with a native.
I blame a little bit the management for that because they did nothing to stop it. I'm glad to hear that they took measure to resolve that problem. If it is so, maybe I'll come back to RW. As I wrote earlier, I always had words of praise for RW. I like it though when it was smaller, with three rooms and no wait time.
I had great churrasco there but the last one didn't satisfy me. I barely had meat and I had only one beer! When I wanted another one. The fridge was empty. And the worst of all there were very few GDPs attending the churrasco that evening: maybe five or six (Mariana, Emily, her Spanish friend, and one or two more). The other GDPs were working inside RW.
The best churrasco I had was in May 2012 where there was a lingerie show and approximately 20 GDPs! Among them Babí and Gabí (my two TDs of the night)
That's about it.

The price is R$150 for 1 hour. The rooms are nice with full queen size bed (or more like an elevated queen size massage mattress) and large bathroom ensuite. In the waiting area, there is actually a book of photos of most of the girls that work there, with nude photos of them including their faces. They do the routine in-person presentation also, but while you wait you can scan the book to check out their bodies in the flesh. It's definitively the best new spot in São Paulo.
But Sundays only free lance GDPs are in premises, so the cast varies each Sunday. ABG, thank you so much for our conversation yesterday and for your recommendation of the lovely young woman with whom I spent such quality time.
Alas, my time with Kelly was the complete opposite. She was definitely eye-candy, and I had high expectations before the session began, but not only was she a dead fish during the session, she did tell inform me it was an additional 20 real for kissing. She managed five or six closed mouth kisses for that sum, and was reluctant to even do that much.
I actually assumed, incorrectly according to ABG, that she might be a newcomer, due to her obvious lack of expertise and excitement during the session. He informs me that she is an old pro. But don't ask stupid questions that are already answered here. RTFF and make sure you are prepared to ask appropriate and otherwise un-answered questions. I have an alternate route, the one I take when I go to Red Massagem (since I don't live anymore in Moema. Sniff. Sniff. Next time I'll go back there. It's the bairro for restaurants, bars, GDP freelancers, privês and swing clubs!)
Take the Blue Line, exit at Santa Cruz and then take bus under the Santa Cruz Shopping Center. It is the last ponto, the one closest to Loefgreen. I don't remember the numbre though.

The garotas are habitually prettier than Privê's GDPs- take note that this is not an iron necessity you may still find now and then gems in privês and barangas or dragoes (old hags) in clinicas.
Clinicas are ALWAYS cleaner and with nicer furnitures (waiting room, rooms, sanitary installations, showers) than privês.

This being said, you can still find gems there!
I did a log time ago, a Saturday afternoon, a guided visit of these trashs (plus some privês on Consolação) with half a dozen of (former and still members) of the GP Guia. Our leader was a guy called Neuronio (ABG knows him and he could confirm that this guy was a chracter in himself!). It think it was in 2006 or 2007 and on the GP Guia's reports they made fun of me because apparently I was livid after the tour. It was too much for me!
Since then, each time I'm in São Paulo, I pay a visit (alone) to these trash for for the fun of seeing that are all over the places and waiting for you on the steeprs stairways.

- early hours. It starts getting busy at around 21:00 and gets slow around midnight.
- tuesdays to thursdays are the best days. Fridays are slow.

In the past when the same owners ran places without rooms in the bar / club they also owned a private mansion. They had rooms available there. This mansion was where girls from out of town actually lived while working at the bar / club. If you wanted a more private environment you could also make an appointment to go to the mansion directly without going to the bar/club first. At the mansion they could also make parties with a barbeque and a swimming pool. To go directly was only a daytime possibility, and without an appointment you would not get in. During bar / club hours you could take the girls to the mansion where they served drinks and had nice rooms with big queen sized beds and individual bathrooms.
From what I understand there is a similar set up now.
Previously they also had a special portfolio of girls they had on call and could bring in on appoinment. That would be models, TV presenters, actresses and other semi-famous girls. I am not sure if they have a portfolio now, but they are very well connected and would certainly be able to set you up with girls like that. Sometimes Playboy and Sexy models would also be present in the club / bar.

Today was my first day off in São Paulo. I have a whole week ahead of me before flying to Florianópolis.
After unpacking my luggages in my new hotel room. Finally a large room in a new and well decorated hotel!. I took the São Joaquim metro station. The blue line. Up to Praca the Sé where I commuted to the red line in the direction of Praca the Republica.
Flanarte, my favorite sebo (I. E. Second hand bookstore) is located on rua 7 de abril. I bought there books that I were looking for a couple of months. On my way back to the metro station I stopped at a men clothes in order to buy a new shirt. There was a mega sale of high quality long sleeves shirts. I bought a couple of them.

For the bus ride, I'm sure that the alternative route I gave (the one leaving from Jabaquara I. E. The South end of the Blue line) would be better. On my way back I took a bus on Ibirapuera that was heading to Praca the Sé and from there I walked (again) up to São Joaquim. Another 25/30 minutes walk when it was dark. On Liberdade Avenue I saw a couple of Street Hookers I talked to some of them just for the fun. But please don't touch these SW! They are mechanical and do it without passion.

So is the location closed forever? Lost their lease or will they reopen again soon. They added the 2 new rooms in the rear of the courtyard just this past year I believe.

GK1) Yes they are open during daytime. Moreover they are even open Sundays.
2) Yes Francebel is still open but for a reason that I escape my understanding all info referring to this venue is censored on the GP Guia.
