I asked this question of the fine gentleman on the Rio board, and they suggested that I get some input from the Sao Paulo contingent. I am considering a trip to Brazil. I am a bunda guy, however I have a strong affection for asian women. So I think you can see my problem right off the bat.

I can testify myself that Transamerica Opera, in Alameda Lorena, and Sonesta Ibirapuera, in Avenida with same name, are girl friendly. No additional charges added. Can someone help me out. Will be in SP just for one day, sep 5, and did not realize that weekend is a long weekend in Brazil to celebrate their independence day. So, will places be open? Girls working or everyone goes to the beach? Tried contacting cafe foto, but nobody responded via email.

Yes, it's possible to rent an apê (in a flat and not in a cortiço!) for R$1,800 a month. In some cases, you'll need a «fiador» however.

Hey amigo, las Colombianas, just like the Brasileiras are very approachable.

There are quite a few gringos visiting Colombia these days, but still, the single most important factor in meeting non-pro chicas is being able to speak their language.
The vast majority of guys speak basic spanish only, if any at all. The vast majority of girls speak only spanish. If you can really communicate with them and make them smile, you´ll set yourself apart and have a blast.

Obviously, the same goes for Brasil. I arrived in Brasil about 2 years ago speaking excellent spanish and very bad portuguese.
Now, as my portuguese is at the ´pretty good´ level, I´m meeting so many garotas here in Sao Paulo, I don´t have enough time to fit them all in :)

Comparing the Colombiana non-pro to the Brasileira non-pro.
In both countries, I only pursue the girls from humble, working class families.
I´m not into the high-end, high maintenance type anywhere.

Generalizing, I would say the Colombiana is quicker to ´fall in love´ with you. They are simply born to love and care for their man.
They, however, from my experiences, also are quicker tempered and more jealous and drama filled.

I have found the Brasileiras to be more easy-going and care free in general.
The more time I spend in Brasil, mostly Sao Paulo, the more I dig the garotas and the less I feel like traveling to Colombia.

I enjoy the big city of Sao Paulo. Of course I don´t drive in it´s heavy traffic. I either walk or take the Metro everywhere with an occassional taxi.
I love that a visit to the beach is very easy from SP and I dig the people here.

Bottom line from me and my personal experience:
The girls from both countries are fantastic, I just happen to find the less drama-filled garotas of Brasil to be more my style.
Whichever place you visit though, speaking the language is the key.

The town has gone through major cleaning process in the last 4-5 years. As much as you can keep tidy a town with a 19mill (official) population. But it is in general a very good standard. Might look a bit old in some areas, but that does not have anything to do with cleaning. I wish some more towns in the so called "civilized world" have that standard!

This being said, I've never seen any cockroaches in my flat or hotel rooms. In fact, I've seen many in New York but never in Brazil (which is a more tropical weather than New York). The worst that I have seen in one of my flat was small ants.

According to this other source, 70% of the houses in São Paulo are infested, mainly in Centro and in the Zona Norte.

Even though I have been returning to SP at least once every year, I have not found it worth it to put in all the work to write reports on this forum because of the feedback I get that my activities are not all that interesting to the members on this forum based on the cost of what I do. This trip was different since I decided to drop most of the fancy restaurants, leave my suits at home, bring a limited amount of money and let a Brazilian very well known to the mid-end of the SP mongering scene take me around to finally find out if less money and more focus on performance than appearance would give me a better time.

I landed at Guarulhos on a Thursday evening at 16:40. Though those prices are way above my league of play, it was interesting reading.

Fact is, SP is a great city for women.

Never spent enough time in Guaruja to inform you efficiently, but if you're in the area (Sao Päulo Litoral Norte) in vacations period or during a long weekend, don't miss Galeao and Sirena clubs in Camburi and Maresias. There's a fantastic party scene from Dec till Feb when it's overflowing with rather hot mid to upper-class Paulistas and Paranaenses who go there to party their asses off, take drugs and get diseases that take antibiotics to cure. Both clubs are ranked among the top-ten clubs in Brasil. The most famous international DJs perform there regularly, including D.Guetta, Tiesto, Fatboy Slim,ect. Non-pro potential can be good for a culturally aware player. Nonetheless to score in Brasil, looks is excessively important, and it's even more obvious in this kind of places. Anyhow I've personally always had better chances in Galeao than in Sirena, where crowd is rather younger.

Litoral Norte surroundings are truly beautiful. Think Copacabana, Ipanema or Sao Conrado without buildings and favelas and with the Mata Atlantica just behind. Maresias, which is a favorite for pot-smokers, has a very laid back, surfer vibe, and has nice waves for who likes body surf. Ilhabela is great also. As Guaruja. I like Camburi the most though.

In a couple of days I'll arrive in São Paulo. I'm always eager to go there because a lot of friends are expecting me.

Wanted to sample again this new (to me, since the location is quite ancient) "institute" and went there yesterday. seems more cars were parked in the mid afternoon than in the early evening as the week before. The door automatically opens and you are greeted by a nice lady as receptionist.

Visited Sao Paulo, had a very good experience with Julie, found her on Craislist.

Before visiting any establishment while in Brazil, I try and preview the service menu at before going there. Their rates are currently listed at R320 per session which is almost the same rate they tried to charge you. This prevents a lot of grief knowing if they are being straight about the services and menu of choices they provide. Most are very honest and go out of their way to insure you are happy with them. Plus with all the previous raids by the city, most "Clinicas" try to hide under the umbrella of legitimacy about what they really do for their customers.

I also tryed a clinica called My Way on 777 Itaim Bibi, the one hour fee was 175 real, choose a lady from the book, definately photo shop photos, when we arrived to the room, I was advised the 175 was a massage and hj only, for her services it was an additional 150 real, needless to say, I left, they gave me my 175 back. There is no comparison with Kin, I would not recommend My Way.

Below is a summary of what I found for Sunday "hobby" activities in Sao Paulo. Please let me know if you have anything to add or disagree.

NON-PRO CLUBBING. One poster says "Sunday evening is a great day for bar hopping in Sao Paulo. Many "in" bars in Pinheiros, Itaim, V.Olimpia, Jardins, Bela Vista, etc have a Sunday party with musica ao vivo (live music, usually MPB or samba) which begins quite early, around 6pm, and get packed to the walls. Drinks are usually cheaper on that day." Recommended include Club Carioca for Samba (http://www.cariocaclub.com.br/index2.asp) and Andrade for forro (couldn't find a location for this one).

STRIP CLUBS. Kilt (http://www.kiltshows.com.br/english/home.asp) is the only one open on Sunday.

MASSAGE. Most are closed on Sunday according to their Web sites (Berrini, Assahi, Sauna House, Vison). Clinica Kin doesn’t specify so maybe they are open (http://www.clinicakin.com.br/). Any suggestions for this or Prive on Sunday?

SP is actually a no-option on sundays for MP as they are all closed.
Sunday afternoon does not offer much, I am afraid, unless you find a GdP willing.
GRU is sometime an hour away from town, can even be more on the late sunday afternoon.
So make the math and make sure you do not miss your flight.

Cafe Foto has in my opinion a very relaxed attitude, you pay in advance for yr. drinks and skip aggressive waiters or girls insisting on buying drinks.

6 girls out of 10 are very goodlooking, some even model type, all dressed to kill!

bb5Hell. Entrance fee at a bigger Rio termas is R$60 or R$70 (without taking advantage of an, early bird, free admission coupon or half-off if you session promotion). And the drink prices are getting out of hand at the termas. The Strawberry Capirinha prize that I had to buy for my samba dancing Mel at Luomo was R$22! (But the half-hour we spent together just laughing our asses off was worth it and I drank half of it!) So R$190 with 4 drinks, no waiter tips, no entrance fee, no take out payment, in a class no-hassle joint with top-shelf sexy talent. Doesn't sound outrageous to me by comparision. Thanks for the report.

The 2nd floor only opens a certain hour depending on how busy they are. (Usually saturdays 2nd floor is closed).

Well even if you could (but you can't, as the linha 4 is still under construction from what I know) it wouldn't be very helpful, as Love Story is a total morgue until 2.20/3am, so long after the last metro.

Anyway to go from Morumbi to Centro by metro, the only way is to get off at Pinheiros (linha 9 esmeralda ) and then to take a taxi.

To continue on the Cafe Photo subject, I've sometimes met in Love Story meninas from there. As from most others upscale Sao Paulo boites (Romanza, Gauguin, ect) BTW.

However, be very careful if you want any more drinks after that. Last time I was there, after using all my drink tickets, I ordered a beer and was charged $35r. I was stunned. I said to myself, that's it, pick a girl and get out of here back to the hotel. The women are not too pushy, but they will definitely come up to you. When I was there, almost ever working girl there approached and chatted with me. It was a really nice atmosphere. I finally picked a Paulista, who had her own car. There is no exit fee. I have been in SP for 1 week on a business trip. A few comments.

1) the hotel. I wanted to stay in Jardins, close to Paulista for business reasons. Last year I stayed in Renaissance: very nice but it was full. So I decided to be a good cost-saver for my company and I chose the Mercure on Alameda Itu. A disaster: I strongly do not advice. First night on the 2nd floor, on Rua Augusta: only if you like the noise of buses climbing the street. Then I asked to move, and was sent to floor 14. No noise, but the toilets were out of service. Plus, some clothes lost. So I asked my company to find someting else. Eventually, I got a "deluxe" room in the Renaissance: 3 times more expensive, but my company is paying, and I can say I have tried. Also, I knew the Renaissance is girl-friendly.

2) now, the ladies. Last year I spend a couple of nights with Laura, a lady I had met in internet. Since this trip, we had been exchanging a few mails and I called her and she seemed happy to come on the same night to the hotel. We had a drink in a bar close to the hotel, and after one hour we were back to the room. She is quite direct: no "not tonight" or "I don't know". As Sui Generis says, reception is fine (the receptionist is pretty but actually a bit "gordita"), I was presented six girls, all of them doable. I chose Jessica. Hi everyone!

When I am in Sao Paulo and I want to relax after a long day of meetings, I usually go to clinicas. Well not bad location, a little more than 1 mile from famous Cafe Photo.

As far as policy about bringing girls, I don't know Radisson in particular but generally hotels here are quite open. You don't need a second hotel.
If you feel comfortable with a more discrete option, just use Lido which you pay by time and it is very weel known by girls.

Cafe Photos new location has been ready for 18 months. The city officials have denied their lisence for opening. The old location has been sold and will soon be rebuilt to apartments. The future of Cafe Photo is uncertain.

First, I would like to rationalize on my action of tipping Angela on Monday. As I'm not myself attracted to this kind of venues (High End clubs), I'm not in a good position to tell you the difference between Bomboa and Café Millenium. In fact, I've never been there. As I've repeated it several time on this board, my limit is R$200 for a garota.

The only things I know is that most of the garotas that were working there are back (and some from the former Bahamas too). The good point for a gringo is that you'll be able to spot a garota which is fluent in Englsih and I guess that for some of our fellow hobbyists this is what they look for.

First, I would like to rationalize on my action of tipping Angela on Monday. I feel obliged to explain that since many members on this Forum do not like the idea of inflating the prices when mongering. However, I look at that from a different perspective.

From my experience , swing (suruba in portuguese) is one erotic activity that the open minded Brazilians have not yet mastered.

I visited the first two clubs that you have mentioned. I also visited Marrakesh (sp?).Problem is that the management allow single guys to get in (for a higher fee). That leads to having the single guys wanting to hit on your date. Swing becomes a threesome, 2 guys and a gal. Which isn't my cup of tea.

I also realized that most of the couples are shy in general. After they hook up, they typically adjourn to the private boxes rather then staying in the open area. Probably because they don't want to be hassled by the freeloader singles.

Hello, people! I have the great misfortune of being in Sao Paulo next Sunday, that too for only one day. I saw that almost all of the usual haunts are closed, it is really breaking my heart. I landed at Guarulhos one March evening with a heavy heart- I had come to know before leaving that the little piece of paradise, Bahamas, was closed. It was always the best reason to take the long trip to Sao Paulo and I was already missing it..

I had also read about Bomboa on ISG and therefore decided to try it out. I headed there after a quick shower at the hotel, my wallet substantially lighter due to the two taxi rides. I was missing Bahamas even more while at Bomboa. The girls were nice, but not as nice. The setting was good but not as good. The lingerie was not even close.

So there are shuttles and they only drop at certain locations?Your hotel may opearte a direct shuttle - so contact them and ask.

Or as SG suggests - a taxi service.

Another cheaper alternative, shuttle to Rodoviario Tiete and Metro from there - provided your hotel is close to metro stop and you do not have much luggage. But you have to want for the shuttle at GRU. Takes 25 minutes to Tiete (without traffic). Certainly not the quickest way

Oscar Maroni, former owner of the Bahamas, has another club outside São Paulo. Never been to the new location. I don't know more than what is reported in the different national forums.

as somebody suggested take the taxi from the airport. Just outside the doors, at the kerb there is the counter of Guarucoop taxi service.
You state where you have to go and pay there, cash/credit card. They then point you at one fo their taxis waiting. very good service, no price surprise and the pre-paid price is quite accurate if compared to a meter running ride. Fact is that SP traffic sometime is weird and the meter runs also with times not only with distance. So the pre-paid option is a win-win.

I do a lot of research befor going anywhere. I agree with you; Sao Paolo is way cheaper that Rio if you take your time. Speaking of which: I was in SP this past week. Romanza was closed again by the police during F1 week. Apparently, a waiter presented a customer with a bill for over $20, 000. So the patron called the police on the spot. Police responded and. Wonder of wonders. Told him that his was one of many similar complaints. Police decided this was the last straw and closed Romanza indefinitely on the spot.So I went there this week and its at a new location in a house. First floor living room has their old furnitures and 2nd floor has bedroooms and 3rd floor attic is a club like area. Strange setup but same old people work there. They said they will be back to other location in Jan. Regardless I'm never going back. I arrived with maybe 15 girls inside and maybe 5 other guys there. I figure I can catch a bus(6 hours?) from rio to SP at 12 noon on a Tuesday get there by 6 pm. Book a room at the Best Western(Close to LS?) catch a nap and enter LS by 1 am for warm ups and watch the games begin. Then I can return to Rio Thursday. I think it's doable, any comments would be appreciated.

Check out fares on Gol into Cong. airport in SP. They may even fly from SD airport in Rio - making it convenient on both ends. Very cheap fares if you book well in advance. Bus is probably like 6 to 7 hours for around R$70 each way. Check out Cometa and 1001 Onibus sites.

I am finding the SP women to be spectacular.

In Rio you'll find mainly garotas (mulatas) coming from the poorest parts of Brazil. You'll have a hard time if you're looking for a bloonde with a white complexion or a ruiva (redhead) with blue eyes). Basically, you'll find the same type of garotas : B' girls. That's about it.

The configuation, the selection is different in São Paulo. The garotas are more diversified, classier and, in general more educated and goodl-mannered.

The other difference is in the price. Beside Help and Termas (with their 45 minutes session!) there's not too much to do in Rio (expect the beaches which are Rio's biggest asset). (I'm puzzled when I consider the fact that there's virtually no hobbyists from this board reporting sessions with garotas in boates like Barbarella, for example) Rio is for tourists and the prices are for tourists also...

I agree that São Paulo has much more to offer than Rio when it comes to P4P, but Rio also has a decent P4P-scene in Centro which isn't directed to tourists. A couple of years ago I did a trash tour with local friends (the report is on one of the national forum) down there. They made fun of me because I was looking so disgusted. In Rio you have (or had?)the same thing in the streets near Cinêlandia and Praça Maua. Garotas so ugly that you even don't wish to see your worst ennemy sleeping with them.

What is a real pain in the ass in Sampa is the traffic and the weather. This week it's raining cats and dogs.

I have been using the search tool to get some info. on apartment rentals in SP. But it is very limited in this forum. Does anyone have any experience or info. with apartment rentals for short term stay ( minimum for 1 week stay, possibly 2 or 3 week stay)?

Mercure Apartments are definitely the way to go in Sao Paulo. They are about 2x cheaper than in Rio, and usually offer good weekend and long-stay discounts.

There's some 20 branches all over Sao Paulo. The hardest thing is to choose your bairro; Moema, Pinheiros, Jardins and Itaim Bibi/Vila Olimpia are the best choices. Moema is on a refreshingly human scale compared to most other parts of town. The Mercures (3 or 4 branches in Moema) are near to a big mid to upperscale shopping mall (Shopping Ibirapuera), and beside the Ibirapuera Park which is huge, nice, and very clean. There's also many good restaurants in Moema. The only minus of the neighborhood is that it's very remote from Centro P4P nightlife options, and taxis are rather expensive in SP. Pinheiros is an unpretentious and friendly bairro, closer to Centro, with many lively pubs, bars, live music venues, ect and IMHO the best area to stay for a "party-goer", as it is halfway between Republica and Itaim Bibi/Vila Olimpia. Also the Mercure is located on the same street as Bomboa, which is definitely a plus !. Itaim Bibi and adjacent Vila Olimpia are the epicenter of Sao Paulo regular nightlife, with literally hundreds of venues, and you can't be wrong by staying there. Jardins is the equivalent of Leblon in Rio, with lots of posh stores, nice trendy terraced cafes, ect, but few nightlife. Nonetheless it's an enjoyable neighborhood to stroll around during the day, and it's also rather central, which makes it a good option to stay. Another interesting location,where there's also a Mercure, is Bela Vista, which is the new neo-bohemia "in" bairro that goes up, and that have the big advantage to be very central near Paulista (MASP) and Republica (Love Story, Augusta and N.Pestana strip bars, ect) neighborhoods.

As for exploring SP, remember that you can hit one different great P4P place every night, 7 days a week and during 3 monthes without even begin to discover all that the city has to offer. Here is a summary I have made from the various postings.

Cafe Foto: R$190 entrance fee, no exit fee.
